347 King St E, Kingston, ON K7L 3B5, Canada
Unpretentious eatery serving traditional Cambodian fare, including pineapple chicken & curry dishes.
Had the #1 with veggie spring rolls. Absolutely STUNNING flavour and portion size was really generous. Chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, rice was fluffy.
Small place with good selection of dishes. I had the Devil Red Curry and a sweet milk tea - both were really super! Staff is friendly and the service is efficient.
Best Thai and Cambodian in the world! Must try! It’s got the best dishes! Been going for 20 years now and I love the dishes! Would highly recommend! Great staff and meals!
The best Thai and Cambodian food in the world! I got there every week! Been going for 20 years! Would highly recommend! The food is so good, fresh and very delicious! Quoc the chef is amazing and very friendly! My favourites are #1, #21 and his weekly specials!
Stopped in one night and had no idea what to choose, so I went with the first item on the menu, Phanaeng Kai. It was absolutely phenomenal!! Delicious red curry with a delicious peanut sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Huge pieces of chicken and nice, fluffy rice. Staff was very courteous and service was awesome! I'll definitely be back.
This place was super authentic. Doesn't look like much but the food is great. The portions are big and they have a good selection of dishes. The price is between $17-22 per dish. The service was excellent, the food came out quickly even though it was full. Everyone was happy with their meal. Try the Thai noodle soup (29) similar to a Laksa it was fantastic! And the Poh Piah (4) also great.
Red curry with Tofu was excellent! Flavourful and lots of tofu. Definitely come back for other vegetarian dishes. The Cambodian village restaurant is located in the heart of Kingston. Vegetarian menu below: Vegetarian vegetarian Spring rolls Red curry tofu Hot and sour tofu Tofu with pineapple Vegetarian pad Thai
This is the best Cambodian food I’ve ever had, including the ones I’ve had in Cambodia. We always make a stop here whenever we can from Toronto. The Country Style (#14) pineapple green curry tofu (#37), western style (#21) and Cambodian village soup (#31) are what we got today. Can’t wait to come back!
The food here is always delicious . Never disappoints. My favorite is #23 Lemon grass chicken.
INCREDIBLE FOOD Highly highly recommend Amazing staff
#11 red curry with shrimp is still our daughters favourite! And the special today Jan 4/24 for take out was so yummy! Update, #11 is still her favourite and todays special pineapple chicken and red curry sauce Oct 31/24 very tasty. Keep up the great consistency of the quality and tastyness of your food
Consistently great food. Simple, inexpensive and high quality. Been going 20 years and never had a bad meal.
So good!!!! Got the number 1 and 5, and both were delicious.
Wonderful restaurant in Kingston! Been here multiple times, and it never disappoints. The #1 is my favourite. Highly recommend!
I ve been eating here for over 30 years. I stop every time I drive through Kingston.
Started eating here about two years ago. Its a spot my partner and his family used to go to often when he grew up in Kingston. Now I look forward to eating here (#26 is my go to!) every time we visit from Toronto. Homestyle food thats delicious and has all the right spices. So good! Owners are very friendly too. Cant wait to come back!
Service was super fast and the food is very delicious!!
Great food!
So happy to have stumbled on this restaurant! The Phanaeng Goong brought me right back to visiting Cambodia. Amazing service from a lovely family. Our daughter even played with theirs happily. Just the best experience. Thank you. Id take a picture but the food is gone!
Amazing food! The red tofu is my favorite
The service is really good but the food is just so so
Definitely one of the best Colombian/Thai places in Kingston!
Super flavorful! I ordered the shrimp and chicken and vegetables with egg noodles. I must return! Highly recommended!
Well, unfortunately the sun has set on Cambodian Village. Three years ago I had an incredible pad Thai and chicken prikh khing that set the bar for my favourite dish of all time, but it appears as though the restaurant is either under new management or the chef has left. The prikh khing is so bad that it isnt even red. The massaman curry has no potato or peanuts and was a dry curry. There is nothing authentic about any of the dishes and even the rice was poorly prepared - soft and mushy. Skip this one, folks!
Friendly and quick service. The food was well prepared and good volume. We had the pad Thai, Poh Piah (4), Tom Yum soup (12), and the house special. The soup was amazing.
Quick and tasty. Around $20 for the special. Unpretentious atmosphere.
Not a place to go for atmosphere but the food was delicious and good value, and the service was great and fast. Highly recommend, will definitely return!
Food is always fresh Great owner operated business. We go there all the time
Amazing food I love #13 Thai green curry, it s the best green curry I have ever found and I visit every time I am in Kingston!
Hidden gem and delicious! The food is vibrant. The space is small yet cozy with great art. We were just passing thru and so glad we stopped! We tried Soup A, golden chicken, and ginger beef. All were excellent with a pleasant spice!
The food here is AMAZING! Very flavorful and fresh. Service was quick. So far the best Cambodian restaurant I ve ever been to. Highly recommended!
Amazing food! So incredibly flavourful, and they can adjust the spice level to your tolerance.
Super delicious! I loved this place as a student 10 years ago, still amazing today.
Very nice family run restaurant with excellent food. I d post a picture but I ate it all
Cantonese home chef restaurant, delicious big bowls of noodles!
Its a small and family owned restaurant, the food tastes great and they prepare it fast. There is a menu with pictures to make it easier to pick your meal.
Faithful Khmer food served in a cozy restaurant run by an honest Chef with great recommendations. Great viet coffee too.
Delicious food, great service and kind people. Loved our meal!
Small and cozy restaurant with a friendly and fast service. Food is delicious, however it is overpriced. Also, soupy curries are served in large flat dinner plates which .akes it very awkward to eat. Several good options if you are looking for vegetarian dishes
Best spot to eat fresh tasty food This is a mandatory stop in Kingston
Amazing Food! My favourite is the Number 1!
Tasty
Always one of my favourites when in Kingston. Very tasty and great value especially the green curry chicken with coconut milk;)
Best food in Kingston
Simply: delicious dishes, with generous portions in a cosy, and unpretentious dining area. The red curry with tofu especially delicious. The eat-in area is small, but the service was attentive. Vegetarian options: There is a whole vegetarian menu section, with a variety of options.
Clean
My favorite is no2 and no29. Cant get enough...
Family-run spot perfect for a quick lunch or takeout! We got a chicken red curry and lemongrass beef. Very flavourful and a great portion of veggies and meat! There are plenty of options on the menu and photos to accompany every item which is helpful
Good good, decent portions. Only negative is the unfriendly service. That alone would stop me from returning.
Food is always amazing! Great flavour, served fast and hot too. I do not know how they do it! Prices are very reasonable too. Friendly service. Thanks,
Food is top notch and tastes better than most Thai places we ve eaten in while in Canada.
Absolutely excellent food. Wished we had this where we lived!
Delicious, authentic flavors. Grilled pork is flavorful. Will go back here again next time.
we had red tofu and Namyang soup! it was really good!! we havent had such good Namyang food for so long! the owners are very nice too! great food and good service
The food was amazing! Great price too
This might be the best meal you ever have, but dont go here expecting fine dining or a particular atmosphere. All that matters is the food.
The restaurant is small but food is delicious.
Family owned restaurant serving a variety of Thai and Cambodian dishes. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and very generous portions. I recommend the pineapple tofu green curry.
Small, no frills place with 6 tables but food was very tasty and served very quickly. Good size portions, too.
Food and service is top notch.
Super tasty, great portions, and fast service.
There are no pretenses at this establishment.
Great portions and very tasty food! Prepared fresh while you wait. Ordered Pad Thai and Yellow Curry and everything was just deliciously comforting.
Was visiting the city and decided to try this small restaurant. These guys are serious when it comes to their food and its amazing! You will not be disappointed, I highly recommend.
We have been enjoying the #2 & #28 for years. It s our go to takeout date night food. The quality and portions remain consistent, the flavours are amazing and it s always ready in less than 20 minutes. The owner and his family are really sweet.
Best Cambodian restaurant in Canada, must try! Been going there 15 years!
I have lived in Kingston for 20 years. I have been to most of its restaurants. Cambodian Village is my favourite restaurant in the city. If you re trying to decide on a place to eat, eat here. There are no bad choices. Everything is delicious, fast, and made well.
They dont have wide options and pretty expensive each dish would cost around $20 and only accepts cash:debit
Amazing food and good value for money. Loved the atmosphere. The owner is super friendly and you can customize food as you want. I would recommend to try the Cambodian Chillie Chicken.
Absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the #4 (spring rolls with noodles) and #21 (red chicken curry). The owner prepared it fresh for us and it all tasted amazing! We also had Thai Tea which was fantastic! I will 100% be coming back when I m in town again!
Simple place but great food! Big portions, fresh and tasty. We got vegetarian dishes. Friendly staff. Highly recommended :)
Excellent food, tasted delicious and fresh, polite service and quick as well. Loved it will visit again
There really aren t enough kind things I can say about this place. If I m not mistaken when me and my friend went it was just the owner working maybe with one other cook. Regardless the owner was working his butt off and gave us some of the best food I ve ever had. Spicy Chicken Cambodian Style should be on everyone s order. 5/5
Awesome flavour and quality. Large servings. Id eat here every time. Several vegetarian options.
Another delicious meal tonight.
My all time favorite restaurant in Kingston! It s been around for decades. Such a unique and wonderful flavor profile that I have not been able to find elsewhere.
I think it s very good and the cashier is very patient with us
I went there with my family while visiting Kingston: It was a perfect decision! The staff welcome you with warmness and kindness, the decoration is modest, a bit aged, and simple, but truly beautiful and genuine. There are also clear pictures showing all the dishes, which facilitates ordering. About the food, it is a great place where your taste buds will enjoy wonderful flavours at very fair prices! Something that we also liked, it is a family restaurant were everyone make you feel welcome, and their priority is to make sure that you are satisfied. The sweet little girl awaiting for their family to finish their shift, also greeted us and make us feel warmly received . The chef prepared the dishes very efficiently, and added fresh ingredients which did the magic of a great and delicious meal for my whole family. Will definitely visit them again on our next visit to the city. Consider giving this restaurant a try. You may also be warmly satisfied!
Small hole in the wall. Food is simply delicious.
Excellent and very authentic!
Loved it
A mandatory stop if visiting Kingston.
Service and food excellent Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes
Always good! Ask for extra sauce for your meal then it s even better
Nice little shop. Owners super nice. Yummy food!
We ordered 32 and 33 and both were great and filling. It is nice to have a restaurant using coconut milk in many of the recipes. The spring rolls are great too. The food is 5 stars the simple eating area drops it to 4, but the service is very fast.
Yet to find a Cambodian/thai place that can live up to it! Always a stop when I m in kingston
Been here twice, supper tasty and family owned. The dishes are generally spicy (for a white guy), you can request less spicy. I ll be back!
Came here on a whim because the place across the street was closed. We ordered the Beef Noodle Soup (#28) and shared it before the main meal. It was so delicious I wanted to order another. The main meal came which was the Chicken with Coriander (#2) and the Prik Khing Chicken (#20). Again, amazing. I cannot stress enough how good it was. I could not stop eating. It had the right amount of spice with the green chilies. The gentleman who served us was helpful, friendly. The experience was all round amazing. Defiantly the place to go if you want delicious Cambodian or Thai food.
Ive been going to Cambodian Village for many years. The service and atmosphere are no frills; this place is all about the flavourful and delicious food. Portion sizes are good and you can dine-in or take-out. The restaurant itself is quite small with only about 6-7 tables so dont plan on going with a big party.
Absolutely delicious. We eat here every time we stop in Kingston on our drives. The Thai green soup is flavourful and comforting. I ask for mild and never find it spicy. The owners are very sweet.
Ordered take out for lunch at the office and the food was fantastic! The owner was also extremely kind and welcoming when I went to pick the food up. Highly recommend!
Truly amazing food , and huge portions!
Never had a problem, food has always been good and staff helpful with suggestions
Always amazing food and service. A hidden gem
This place is amazing. I got the red curry #1 and its one of the best curry dishes I have ever tasted. On top of that, the Thai milk tea was a perfect drink to compliment the dish. Highly recommend!
If you haven t tried the Cambodian Village in Kingston Ontario you re missing out!! This is by far the best food I ve ever had in my life! Homemade, hand crafted by one of the top chefs in the world!
First time trying Cambodian food, reminds me a lot of Thai food. Lots of rice, savory and tasty, wouldve been perfect with more sauce. Other than that, perfect lunch
Great food and large portions. Hidden gem.
Fancy no. If thats what youre after this isnt it. However if its good food youre after, this is it.
Amazing food and excellent service! It took them less than 10 mins to cook the food and serve us. The chef was nice enough to cook another meal after they technically closed. If you like coconut milk, this is the place.
Fish curry was excellent, great prices and service!
Amazing! I keep going back! Small place but friendly workers and cook. Great food! Totally worth it!!!
Excellent as always
Best food in Kingston. Well priced. High quality service.
Good prices and service, tastes great. I would like if it could include perhaps more vegetables, instead of so much rice or noodles.
Nice food and above all, friendly chef and owner, Cua.
Love this place!
Very tasty and very nice staff
Ordered Green Curry Chicken. Chicken was overcooked and rubbery. Also ordered Red Curry Tofu. Tofu smelled bad and tasted sour. I would not recommend. I ve had much better Cambodian food.
Great food and low price. Friendly staff and strong local following. This is where the locals eat
This is what you would call a hole in the wall. But do not let the restaurants ambiance fool you. Servers are very friendly and food is amazing! Portion sizes are good and prices are comparable to what you get. I recommend the Cambodian Village
Amazing food. We are from out of town and visit this place every time were in Kingston. The dishes are packed with flavours, service so friendly, definitely a must-try if you enjoy Southeast Asian food.
The owner is very kind, the service is fast, and the food is delicious.
Excellent first Cambodian cooking experience! No waiting and extra fast service. It deserves its almost perfect rating on Google.
Our second time there with friends. Food is excellent. Service was slow. But the end result fabulous.
Great food big portions
Delicious and really quick for takeout (took less than 5 mins!)
Amazing food, friendly efficient staff. Its my goal to try everything on the menu!
The best Thai food in town. Cambodian food also great. The daily specials are always very good.
Very tasty and delicious, small place
This place is amazing. Every single time I stop in Kingston, or even just pass by, I make it a priority to get food here. This restaurant has been in Kingston for over 20+ years (since 1997) and its still in business. The exterior and interior is nothing fancy. But the food and service are superb. My favorite dish is the Red Tofu curry dish.
I ended up ordering the Cambodian spring rolls as an appetizer ($6.95) and the country special ($13.95). The spring rolls came (3) first (pictured below) with a peanut, fish sauce, and carrot dipping sauce. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious, and it was nice that they were cut in half. The issue was that they were a little over priced for what I was getting and wish I got a little bit more.
Number one restaurant in Kingston. No place Id rather eat!
Easily the best Asian dishes in town
Even if you dont think you like tofu, try their red curry tofu. It is absolute perfection. Every dish Ive had from them has been brilliantly balanced, with small touches (like toasting the chopped peanuts that are used as a garnish) that show off the expertise of the cooks and their understanding of the flavours and textures of the food they work with. But that red-curry tofu in particular is just sheer brilliance.
The #1 here is to die for! The food is so amazing and filling. Its my new favorite restaurant in Kingston.
Food was expensive and wasnt that good. Would not go back
A hole in the wall with delicious food. If you are looking for decor, keep looking. But if you want delicious, freshly cooked and reasonably priced food that is served up quickly, then look no more. A wide range of Cambodian dishes (tasting rather similar to Thai food to me) are served, many with a good helping of vegetables. Consistently good dishes under $14.
Good food at a reasonable price
The BEST food in Kingston hands down.
Best Thai/Cambodian food in town.
Still has the best Red Curry in town!
Such amazing food, Ive never had a bad dish here. The portions are always huge. Always a stop for me when Im in town.
Most favorite place to eat in Kingston by far. Always cooked in under 10 minutes and quality is there every time. Best thai food around
Amazing food. Had the Cambodian style plate.
Had the dinner for 2 was great and the padthai was amazing!
Love Cambodian
Good value great food. The pad Thai was also delicious!
Awesome!
I just loved. Best food ever. Check # 32 you wont regret it, that the most tasty soup i ever have.
Staff was rude and service was slow and unprofessional. I ended up leaving and going to another restaurant. Royal Angkor - delicious food
The best food in kingston ! Specially Cambodian!!!!! Love it . Very nice staff and owner. You will not regret it!.
Best authentic Thai food! Best prices, very large portions. Healthy. Best service. Excellent value!
Great food
Best food in Kingston hands down
Great food and good portions. Definitely worth checking out.
One of the best Cambodian restaurants I have ever eaten at regularly. Whether to take away or eat on site. When visiting Kingston, this shop must cover one or more meals!
Quality and speed of service!
Great food!
Tasty little restaurant
Ive been coming here for the vegetarian Tofu with Pineapple for years. Food is delicious, owners are lovely, and price is good. Highly recommend!
Amazing staff! Very professional and quick. Cook and owner is amazing also. He cooks the best food. I have never had a bad dish!! Very nice and pleasing restaurant. Yes it is small but it is locally owned and you go for the food and experience! Keep up the great work Cambodian village!!! Love It!!
Get any of the Thai or Cambodian dishes.
We took over this tiny Resturant with a bug group. The food was great and the staff were very fun.
Great little place to eat in the middle of touristy district of Kingston. Easy menu, great curry chicken. The interior needs a bit of revamp, but overall worth visiting.
Good food
I have tried almost everything on the menu and havent been disappointed I love this place.
The best food iv had in my life. Large portion, good price, plate looks good visually, small place but is it ever laid back and casual to eat in. The chef is something else I swear guys try it out!
Best place in town!
Always great
My favourite Thai/Cambodian spot in Kingston. Fast service, delicious and fresh food.
Consistently good food!
Amazing food - always!
Amazing curries for a good price, better price than most. Hole in the wall feel.
Amazing food
great food - great prices - good vegetarian options and large portions.
Prices in online are outdated just FYI. Was disappointed to be charged twice the amount when I called and ordered and then went into store. Fast service.
I just had the Thai Noodle Soup for lunch. Excellent dish. Lots of prawns and chicken, green beans and bean sprouts in a delicious noodle soup.
My buddy Nick and I are regulars at Cambo! Start with a B and then if youre hungry go for the #15 Pad Thai and your tummy with be most pleased. Such spice! Wow! So impress.
Good Cambodian curry at reasonable price. Service is quick and efficient.
