Welcome to CAMBODIANA Restaurant Exotic and delightful Cambodian & Thai cuisine Proudly serving Kingston since 2004
house special curry was great! everything melts in your mouth and is soaked in so much seasoning. definitely beats the Indian curry place nearby price wise so i recommend other students in the area to try this place at least once inside is a little dark but you forget about it once you start eating :) clean dining area + bathrooms too
Terrible food after having food I got Nausea and the shrimp is not cooked worst place to have food. and it is near to the hospital.
Small, no-frills joint. We ordered the vermicelli with spring rolls, shrimp and pork. Proteins were seasoned and cooked well, spring roll was crispy. Overall a very solid dish. We also got the beef curry. Flavor was great and the spice level was just right, but it came with thinly sliced beef and not larger chunks like one typically expects with a beef curry. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Cash or debit only.
Was recommended this restaurant by a local resident. The Thai ice tea was very good and not watered down with ice. The tofu pad thai was OK, made with a black bean sauce. Enjoyed the Golden Chicken which had a nice peanuty sauce
Grabbed take out from here tonight. It was fantastic. Had the golden chicken and some spring rolls. It was great service over the phone and upon pickup. Loved it!
Wow! Food was simply amazing, so full of taste. I highly recommend the golden chicken, each component complements each other masterfully in an explosion of flavours. The quality you are getting at this restaurant is far greater than what you will be paying, awesome value. Atmosphere is very welcoming.
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and attended to our every need throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious - every dish we ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with unique and creative flavors that really impressed us. We especially loved dish 24 and the Thai drink .
I was really keen to try some Cambodian cuisine, so I ordered their pork spring rolls and some samlaw khmer. The spring rolls were phenomenal but I was very disappointed with the entree. It was described as having a tamarind sauce but what I got was a bland, somewhat spicy dish with no tamarind whatsoever. One of the shrimp hadn't been deveined properly and most of the flavour had been cooked out of the vegetables. Atmosphere is dreary and depressing. I won't be back.
Our visit to this restaurant was truly unforgettable! From the moment we stepped in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and cared for. They even let us choose where we wanted to sit, adding a thoughtful touch that made the experience feel even more personal. They made my friend feel completely at home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly set the tone for the afternoon. The food was nothing short of exceptional crafted with precision, bursting with flavors that were both creative and perfectly balanced. Dish 26 was a standout, leaving us in awe with its exquisite taste and presentation. This is more than just a meal; it s an experience that makes you feel like you belong.
Tasty dinner in an informal but clean environment. Very kind staff. The restaurant does not have a bathroom for customers.
DELICIOUS. I had an amazing dish (amok trei) in Cambodia years ago, was able to find it here and it brought back some yummy memories. Prices are very reasonable for the deliciousness and portion sizes. 10/10 would nom again.
A discreet family restaurant with delicious food! We were surprised to discover that Kingston has a plethora of Cambodian restaurants and decided to eat here. The curries are tasty and the portion sizes offer excellent value for money. Great Thai iced teas as well!
I never leave bad reviews, but the experience we had a couple of weeks ago was so frustrating, that deserves to be shared. I was really excited to try this place given the reviews... to my disappointment, the food was bland. I dont know if they ran out of sauce or they just watered down the sauce, but it was tasteless. It wasnt even better adding salt. We asked the server (that we had the impression it was the owner) if the sauce was the same for both the plates wé ordered (cashew chicken and chicken pineapple) with an attitude told us it was different when it was CLEARLY even the same color all over both plates. There was just one note of the same dull and insipid flavor. In the pictures in this same Google page you can see the sauce has a different color. It was insultant. He lied to our face. If the person that served us was not the owner, he should check the way the customers are treated with disdain.
Delicious food! A year ago, we were in Phnom Phen, and wanted some Cambodian food while visiting Kingston. My son LOVED the cashew chicken, and I really liked the ginger beef (it was spicy). Excellent service, in a hole-in-the-wall setting.
Has a cozy atmosphere. Incredible curries and soups and fresh veggie rolls. Must come back to try everything else on their menu.
Its been a few years since I last ate at this place. Good to see that the food is just as delicious as before. I will be back soon.
Some dish are great like the pan fried meat, some are not only not unauthentic but drowned in over salty starchy sauce, like the stir-fried dishes. And a small additional rice is $4. Good luck
One of my fav restaurants in Kingston! Great price, good portion sizes but most importantly delicious food!! Never disappointed! <3
First time??? #28 is my favorite. Chef s Special. Chicken cooked with house special medium hot curry, coconut milk, sweet potatoes and basil served with rice. mmmmmmm
Food is amazing. This is #28 Chef s Special
I love all of their food. Fresh and amazing.
Love their food, but it is getting pricey. Dinner for 2 was $43..
We had a great, reasonably priced Vietnamese restaurant in Kingston that was a go-to location for an excellent, reasonably priced meal. It closed about 5 years ago. We have looked for a replacement restaurant and tried a good number of other restaurants, but never found THE replacement. We have now. It was our first visit, but wont be our last. A group of 4 of us had 3 different dishes and our friends had spring rolls. All agreed the food was delicious, the portions were generous and the prices reasonable. I had the Thai Curry which was excellent and will probably have many more times, but there are lots of it EMs on the menu to choose from. Already looking forward to our next visit. Note: payment options are cash and debit card. They do not accept credit cards.
Food was good and quick. Hit the spot . If youre anywhere near hotel dieu drop by Food : 5/5
My first Cambodian food and it was delicious!
Really yummy Cambodian food across from Hotel dieu. The portion size is large and the staff was timely and kind. I had the shrimp chicken pad thai. There was many options and everyone seemed very satisfied with their meal The venue is clean but clearly more of a takeout restraunt due to how small it is. Overall a fantastic place to get food from.
When i lived in Kingston, this place was my favourite! Grwat food, friendly owners. Lots of good memories here Food : 5/5
This was my first time eating Cambodian food and it was excellent. I kept pausing to say how good it was. Cant wait to go again. Food : 5/5
Very good experience! The combination of different flavors reminded me on thailand, wonderful... Kid-friendliness: They asked if we want an extra seat for the child and were very friendly
Fantastic food, highly recommend everyone to eat here!
The food is amazing, you never go wrong with it.
Fantastic food at very reasonable prices and a friendly staff! The cashew chicken was full of flavour and the Golden Chicken was indeed worthy of being one of their best selling dishes. The words sour curry kind of scared me but it wasnt sour and actially very rich in flsvour depth! Too bad this spot is tooooooo far away from where I live otherwise Id go back again and again!
Pretty good food, tasted nice and fresh :) and very nice atmosphere
Yum
Restaurant doesnt pay much but excellent cuisine. Tasty and hearty dishes. To recommend
Best in Kingston for sure.
Good food
Amazing Cambodia food. The best golden chicken in Kingston!!
Love Cambodiana. Thats all I can say.
Came for Pad Thai and wasnt a bit disappointed! Everyone in the group liked what they ordered. Interior is simple but invites to sit down and enjoy your food while marveling at the huge artwork.
Excellent quality of food. Cambodian soup was superb. I have been to Cambodia before and would say it tastes authentic. Vegetarian options: Many dishes with tofu.
Food is very good my favorite is #16
What a great place to eat support local
Walked in ordered, and walked out within 5 minutes. Service was good, food was even better!
Tasty and authentic! Thai noodle soup and pad Thai are personal favourites.
This was sooooooo spicy. Couldt handel it. Plus the flavour in itself wasnt great. In European.
The quantity is very little for the price charged
Got takeout. Really fast. No bs. Super tasty.
Second best Cambodian food in town! Best atmosphere though!
The food is soooooo good. Real authentic cuisine
Amazing!!
Very tasty, and fast. Cant go wrong here!
I have been coming here for years now. Even if I m passing through kingston, this place is a must try. Amazing, mouth watering Cambodian food, prices haven t changed in a long time, family run, adequate service but what s lost in service (only sometimes) is made up in taste. Close Queens U, inviting and lots parking in the rear of the building. If you are in to a much more flavourful Thai food, I recommend Cambodian for a change. You won t be disappointed. Try the amazing tom yung goong first. Thing to note: for some odd reason there are more Cambodian restaurants in kingston than anywhere else.
I remember coming here with my mom, years back and it was delicious! Went recently and it just wasnt how i remebered at all. :(
Delicious and spicy.
My favourite restaurant in town! Service is always great and super fast. The prices are reasonable for a student budget couldn t ask for anything more!
During covid-19 so had to do take out. Ordered spring rolls, the number 3, number 22 and Pad Thai. All were very good and different enough flavours that each were enjoyable on their own. We were three people and had asked if two meals would be enough for 3 (2 seniors, 1 university student) and were told it wasnt so added the pad thai. However we had enough leftovers for a second meal. Portions are generous
Ive enjoyed food here during the dine-in era i.e. pre-covid. But the take away is a whole another ballgame.. The food just doesnt taste or look like its coming from the same kitchen. I collected my order and opened th box to eat - all within 5-7 mins (I live close to the restaurant) ..veggies and rice were overcooked and the dish had no salt. Cant do anything except dump the box of the pasty food. Will not be spoiling my dinner and have ordered from Mango Thai instead. I wish Cambodiana had coped better.
I always get this Cambodian when in Kingston. Its the best I have ever had. When we lived in nearby we would go multiple times a week. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Never had a bad meal. Try the devil satay if you want spicy - ask for it extra spicy for a next level experience. Highly recommend and should be on the top food destinations in Kingston!
I walked by this place every day for over a year, always wondering what smelled SO GOOD. Today we decided to try it, we ordered the number 4 and the 16. Both were incredible, 16 (beef satay) is the spiciest thing I have ever had in my life, and my mouth is still burning, but I just couldn t stop because it was so good. Next time I ll likely ask for the spice level to be brought down, but it s definitely something I will order again. Both dishes were very flavourful and with huge portions. The lemon Thai iced tea was 10/10 as well. takeout order was ready in only 15 minutes as well on a Friday afternoon, which was impressive.
My absolute favourite local restaurant. Everyone should try this place at least once because I know youll have to go back again!
My family and I travel to Montreal 3 times a year, this is our pit stop every single time. Ive tried other Thai/Cambodian places in Kingston and this one reigns supreme for us. Cant wait to eat here every single time
I tried the dish of the day, it was very spicy, and the sauce had a creamy texture. The rice was a little dry, but this allowed the sauce to soak in well and everything was good to eat.
Good food, quick service.
One of my favorite places to eat, always consistent and delish! Vegetarian & Vegan options available
Great food
Tiny little plain spot with good service and food. A pleasant surprise and wonderful food.
Didnt get a good meal here, way too salty for taste. No flavor at all.
Delicious food at a great price, highly recommended. The owner is very friendly, offered a seperate menu selection for Gluten Free which is a plus for many allergic to wheat/gluten.
Food was good service was ok place is small
Food was very tasty. Definately reminded me of the spicey dishes of south east Asia
Really quick service and delicious food! The vermicelli (pork & shrimp, beef, or chicken) with spring rolls is my absolute favourite!
Best place authentic food
Always a great place to visit if you enjoy Cambodian & Thai - I eat there once a week when I can. Every dish Ive had from this place so far (and Ive had a lot) has been exceptionally tasty, and theyre always willing to accomodate you for special requests.
I decided to venture into something Cambodian. Im glad I had read the yelp reviews that mentioned the large portions here because we ordered one entree to share that was plenty enough food for the both of us. We decided to go for the vermicelli noodles with bbq shrimp & pork, and fried egg rolls. It was served with a nice helping of lettuce and veggies which made the whole meal light and refreshing, but filling
Always good (and quick!)
Good food
Great food .
Second time visit. Vermicelli looks like leftover and tastes like leftover cuz they are all look like one piece when they served. Spring rolls taste worse than what I can get from Costco. Chicken is either overcooked or a bit raw. That s my friends comment. And I ordered the same dish as last time, the taste difference is huge. More spicy, bean is raw, chicken is just like what my friend said, and I can t feel the coconut milk, which is exactly why the second time visit. So disappointed. Won t come again.
Cozy atmosphere and excellent food!
Small place, but good service, good food with large portion sizes.
Large portion and reasonable price for what you get. Food was good but not exceptional. We had take-out. The interior is small and a little rough - could use a complete makeover.
Food was amazingly great. I would love go here again in the near future!
Great food, friendly staff! Cash or Canadian debit only.
Love Cambodiana! One of the first restaurants I tried in kingston and I don t get here often enough! I usually get the spring rolls (fried or fresh) and either soup A Tom yum or the pad Thai. I ve also had the daily special quite often and would recommend along with the satey.
Tasty, inexpensive.
Gr8 food but very over priced
Excellent food and kind service a very nice experience overall
Great little spot for some delicious Cambodian/Thai food.
Don t know what happened. Usually pretty good but ordered take-out and the food was burnt and dry.
Cannot speak highly enough of this resturant, yum food, large portions, friendly service and a good price. very nice paintings too
Awsome food. Number 6 is my favorite
Small and cozy place with super-delicious foods. Good and fast service and a really good price for large portion of food.
My boyfriend and I were pretty spent after spending the morning walking through princess street. In desperate need for some refreshing food, we found this place through the rave yelp reviews and I am so glad that we decided to eat here! Very easy to find, we were immediately seated and handed menus to look over. The menu is pretty big and broken into Cambodian and Thai sections. Being Thai, I decided to venture into something Cambodian. Im glad I had read the yelp reviews that mentioned the large portions here because we ordered one entree to share that was plenty enough food for the both of us. We decided to go for the vermicelli noodles with bbq shrimp & pork, and fried egg rolls. It was served with a nice helping of lettuce and veggies which made the whole meal light and refreshing, but filling. I absolutely enjoyed the authentic tastes offered and would recommend this to place to anyone! IG: @KFitzEats
Local Kingston and one of best downtown Businesses.
Small, super quiet Cambodian restaurant that offers a nice varied menu. I had a chicken red curry which was very good! In addition, the wifi works very well and is a plus for passing tourists like me!
For a small restaurant this place always produces consistently good food
My husband and I have been loyal Cambodiana customers since 2015. We are both vegan and cant say enough about the delicious meals, great service and cozy atmosphere. We have been known to drive many kilometers out of our way to stop in! Try our favourite dish #19
I always take the same delicious plate: rice with red curry coconut milk chicken. #Heaven
What an awesome place. The food is fresh and tasty. Prompt and courteous service. Will be going back.
really big portions
Good service, great food. Will be coming back to try other menu items.
Best food. So fresh n flavourful. Good prices..good portions!!
Great Food. Golden Chicken was amazing. Right balance of spicy and the peanuts add a great compensation to the spiciness. 100% would recommend
How does it look like Chinese food?
Get the Golden chicken!
Excellent golden chicken. Cashew chicken was decent but not as good. Chefs special was mediocre. Highly recommend! Not too appealing inside. I suggest take-out.
Delicious food and really big portions for the price. Usually enough for 2 days worth of meals
Best Cambodian food in town. Me and a friend at work get take out from here about once a week. Always very happy with the quality and portion size. Very friendly staff and fast service.
Average. Better options available near by.
Great food, you get lots of it and it wont break the bank. Me and my co-workers go here often for lunch and though its small the food is authentic Cambodian. Be warned it can be spicy so if the word spicy is in the description it has some kick but still very tasty. The daily lunch specials are always a good bet. But they have a wide variety of meals; some with spice and some non-spicy. The soft shrimp spring rolls served with peanut sauce are excellent and always fresh.
The staff here is great. So friendly, great food. Golden chicken and Devil satay are awesome sauce!
Good food just a little expensive for what you get (like its mostly rice) . I ordered number 28.
Quite liked their house special soup! The rest was good, but that was the star of the meal. They made changes for my vegetarian mom, though I would have preferred if they would have just left out the meat and given us a discount instead of adding tofu.
If you want extra spicy - let them know. But be careful :)
Speedy, amazing quality and very consistent!
Seriously the best Thai food I have ever had in my life get the golden chicken
Best Asian food in town
This place definitly suits the expression : do not judge a book by its cover. Although it was clean, the place would certainly require a good revamp. Please do not expect anything fancy. With this said, I need to mention that the 4 stars are all going to the food. The chicken curry with eggplants ( special of the day) was delicious. The portions are big and you find that the price is right for your wallet. The staff was super smily and friendly. I would definitly come back.
Ive been getting the #28 for years. always delicious
Really, really, really good
Cheap, tasty, good location on Brock in front of Hotel Dieu hospital. Casual dining. Good for meals with friends or dining alone. Free WiFi. Quick service. Excellent option for take out or delivery. Great curry and pad Thai.
This place is delicious, well priced and relaxing. Also several dishes can be made vegan for those of us who care about that sorta thing :).
This place is great. Fantastic food. Great people. It may not look fancy, but we were so so glad we stopped by.
Quality food, cooked amazingly.
Awesome food, quick serving, friendly staff.
The service was incredibly fast and the food was amazing. I definitly recommend this place.
Best restaurant in Kingston! The best meal Jin Cuner can have!
Very Exciting and delicious! 35Curry Beef! So delicious
I heard from the four bosses that it s delicious. I ll try it tomorrow.
Amazing food for fair prices
Pretty good curries.
My absolutely favourite Thai/Cambodian restaurant ever. I went weekly when I lived in the city and still have to stop in for a meal or at least take out every time I am driving by/near Kingston. It may not be as spiffy looking as some other spots being tucked by the bus stop but I promis its the best. The chef special curry makes my heart sing but everything Ive had there is spectacular.
Great place, friendly staff and the food is wonderful.
Very tasty food, fast service, I really liked it.
Friendly staff, great service, and excellent food. I particularly recommend their exquisite Spicy Sour Curry Noodle Soup! Im there every time Im in Kingston.
The food is very good, and the portion sizes are generous. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!
Very good Phad Thai, excellent spring rolls! Extremely fast service.
