We ordered take out from here last night, just chicken fried rice and chicken balls. Now we are both throwing up and I dont even want to talk about what else is happening. Could be a coincidence, might not be, who knows? I most certainly wont be rolling the dice again anytime soon, we only have one bathroom.

I have eaten here for years and the food always hits the spot. The portions are generous and the menu has a lot of options. Great value for my money. Parking: Large parking lot

Last time we ordered here was pre pandemic, was closed during it so went to another Chinese restaurant. Tried several of our favs, shrimp dish was good as was the soo guy, noodles were bland and oily, the chicken in the foo young was overcooked and had to pick it out, cats loved it, spring rolls oily as well, fried rice was basic as were chicken balls, fried won tons were good. Generally disappointed, Kais is better

The owner was rude and the prices on line are not what you pay dinner for 3 with 3 coke 87$ bucks..when I asked about the 10% off for picking it up , was told I dont do that no more ... So if you order from here which I would not . .be prepared to pay ....

Only offer take out and delivery. No dine in. Food is great. Big portions. Owner is very friendly. My go-to for Chinese food.

The guy at the counter is super rude.

The Service should be a zero. Honestly, this is a review I should have wrote a long time ago. But there is something seriously wrong with the guy who owns this place. He was so rude to myself and my partner at the time ended up leaving. We asked to substitute an extra egg roll instead of the side, and he said ( oh of course you have to be difficult and slammed the menu down. ) It was abusive in nature to tell you the truth. Ive never gone back since I dont think any one should bother taking the chance. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Really missing the food from here, I always loved just running across for his food. I hope to have some again soon. Wishing you and your family well. I promise you ll have me lineuped as soon as the restaurant is fixed.

Have had food here before and it was very good that being said just stopped in to get a menu to order and pick up and encountered the absolute most IGNORANT individual running the counter. Instead of being thankful that he was busy and explaining we would need to place an order soon to be guaranteed he threw the pick up schedule at me and snarked you better order if youre going to. There will be no future purchases from this restaurant!!!

Always great food at new garden, this is definitely our go to restaurant for Chinese food. Egg rolls and spring rolls are so good and fresh.

Due to pandemic we didnt go out much over past two years. We also live in west end so tried few closer. That didnt workout, not as good as New Garden! Tonight we came back for our usual from New Garden, it was so good! Used à food bag to keep it as hot as possible. Kudos to delicious chinese food. Awesome service,food,location....Highly recommend!

Chinese was our go to take out. After covid restrictions relaxed we resumed our usual pattern. Sadly, every single place had not just jacked up cost but greatly compromised on quality. Tried all our favs several times and the cost definitely didnt support the newly inferior food. We stopped eating Chinese food! Then on a recommendation we went to New Garden. The BEST EVER! Fresh and top notch quality! Yahooo! Finally, we resume eating our favorite Sunday take-out!

Best General Taos chicken!

Amazing food!! After Lechee Garden closed I tried to find a place as good as them. And I actually found a better one! Food was so fresh and huge portions! Owner was very nice as well. The inside also looked very clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

Very popular Chinese Food restaurant with very staff and Owner. Currently offers take out during COVID-19 and has excellent food.

Their food is good but need to put cutlery in with orders in order for client to be able to eat in their cars. Also napkins.

The fried noodles with vegetables are usually pretty good. The chicken in the fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken balls, however, has changed significantly. And not for the better. Tasted like cheap chicken compared to before.

Food was delicious and plentiful. Definitely had more than our moneys worth (Good on you!) which gave us leftovers for the next day. Things sloshed around in the bag a bit so everything needed a good wipe down before we could eat, but all in all very good. Lemon chicken was delicious, the sweet and sour chicken balls were great (but mostly breading), the beef and snap peas was probably our least favorite, but the General Tao s will be ordered double next time.

The guy taking the order and on pick up was rude(same guy). All I asked when picking up my order was about the total. I asked if that was including the 10%off for cash orders? (This is what is posted online for this restaurant. I googled a chinese food place because Im not from this area). He was like whats the difference. Theres no difference in price. It doesnt say that! Then he slams the menu on the counter. Im like wow!!! You dont have to be rude about it. I even tried to explain your menu is online. That I googled this restaurant. He didnt want to hear about it. Very very rude. I was close to just walking out. I will Never go here again when Im back in town. I suggest you find another place with better customer service. If it is a new change to the menu, you should probably take it off your Google menu. Or even just listening to your customers and letting us know there was a change or something..not be met with this unnecessary rudeness. Food was meh anyway. Save your money.

We went for our first visit after being told how amazing it is! They did not disappoint. The food was delicious, fresh and hot.The prices are so good and The service was friendly and so customer based. Asking me my likes and dislikes and giving suggestions was something I appreciated very much. Definitely will be back, and I suggest them to everyone!!

Very clean and open atmosphere with friendly, unforgettable service The portion sizes are absolutely massive. My girlfriend and I each took home an extra meals worth each of left overs and I have a fairly insatiable appetite. The menu looks simple but has plenty of selection for absolutely everybody and the prices are incredible. We tried the fried Wontons, chicken fried rice, chicken noodle soup, egg rolls, chicken balls and chicken curry and there was not one complaint to be had about any of it. In fact, we found ourselves finding something new to compliment nearly every bite. The curry almost seemed more like a yellow curry gravy but the flavours were definitely enough to write home about. The food also tasted very clean, the fried wontons werent greasy and none of the flavours muddied eachother We will definitely be going again, and I highly recommend you go out of your way to make a visit here, you will not be disappointed. They also deliver apparently and the food is served very hot and fresh so Im sure it would travel well but as far as the eating-in experience goes, one of the best restaurant experiences Ive had in this city

Loved the beef noodle soup! Fried rice is not greasy like most Chinese restaurants are... But some may prefer the greasiness... Not us.

Very nice Chinese restaurant. One of the few restaurants like this which is not strictly buffet. Limited amount of Canadian food but very reasonably priced and servings are generous. This place will not break your budget.

Got Take-out from here. I dont recommend you eat here. The lemon chicken sauce was incredibly weak, and lacks any tang. Both the lemon chicken and chicken balls had incredibly soft, doughy batter around them, and zero crunch or toughness, as if they scarcely fried it. The only thing keeping it above 1 star is that the egg rolls were pretty good. Otherwise, go elsewhere for Chinese food.

Delicious! This place is a hidden gem in Kingston. Had the dinner for 2 sizzling seafood. There was enough of the main course for 4. Veggies were fresh and skillet sizzled. Leftovers for tomorrows lunch. Spring rolls were stuffed and fresh. Seems to be a popular takeout spot in the neighborhood. Busy phone. Restaurant is very clean and tidy.

Food and service were decent, but my favorite dish, the General Taos, was mostly breading and the excessive sauce tasted like it came from a jar on the Walmart shelf.

I have been to many restaurants in my search for the perfect Wonton Soup . I can confidentlysay, that search is over. There are some other restaurants with good soup, but New Garden has the best by far. Amazing portions, everything is really freshly chopped and prepared on the spot. Great variety on the menu and friendly staff.

Horrible customer service! Asked a simple question about the menu and was talked to so disrespectfully. Left and never going back. Went down the street to East Side Village... WAY better customer service and better menu.

Extremely rude! As soon as the phone was answered I was put on hold without anyone even saying Hello. Once he came back on the line I have never received such horrible customer service. We just got into town and are staying a hotel 9 minutes from the restaurant. I stated the hotel and address but apparently he has never heard of it and I was rudely told to call someone else. I told him he was rude and that I will gladly call someone else and I got a very snarky thats fine.

Whenever I come into Kingston for work, I have to eat here. The food is great (big portions), the customer service is top notch, and the prices are more than reasonable. But what really impressed me over and above all of this is how clean the restaurant is. The restaurant is always clean, which gives me comfort knowing that the kitchen and people preparing my food are clean as well. Love this place!

Called to order food and they were closing at 8:35 even though it says they close at 9:00. Im tired of calling there and getting a very rude guy taking the orders. They have good food but their customer service is horrible!

Awful service. Although their menu clearly states Chop Suey can be replaced with Chow Mein for an extra .50 cents, when requested was told they are the same thing. Im sorry, If you run an asian restaurant and think Chop Suey and Chow Mein are the same thing you need to reconsider your profession. Crossed off my list and I wont be bothering to order from here again.
