The Bank Gastrobar in Kingston

Nice quiet place to have a drink and meal. Enjoyed it. Would definitely go back.

I'm not burying the lede... we enjoyed dinner here so much we stayed at the Frontenac Club an extra night just so we could have dinner at The Bank Gastrobar twice. The food and service were outstanding. We sat at the bar both nights and were thoroughly spoiled and entertained by mixologist Sarah and the rest of the team, including Annelise on the 2nd night. Over the two nights we enjoyed the kale salad (amazing dressing), focaccia pepperonata, scallops, charcuterie board (so generous!), tomato and parmigiana and double smoked bacon soup, striploin steak with cheesy polenta (best I've had). Regrettably we never had room for dessert but did manage to have after dinner drinks! The dining room is welcoming and stylish. The atmosphere is convivial - we chatted both nights with fellow patrons who were either staying overnight or were regulars. Without a doubt we plan to return.

Came for our Anniversary dinner while we were staying at the hotel. Had awesome tapas on the beautiful patio, with the most amazing cocktails! The live music plus the ambiance made it an evening to remember. We also had breakfast here every morning here during our stay, so good and unique.

We visited the Bank last night for a joint birthday dinner and I cannot express enough what an enjoyable experience we had! Our server Sarah was lovely and very knowledgeable and made us feel like esteemed guests throughout the entire evening. We began on the patio which is sophisticated and comfortable enhanced by the live music. We sampled a variety of cocktails which were all equally delicious. It’s clear that the bartender knows what she is doing! All of the food was equally as delectable. I enjoyed how the charcuterie board was customizable. The chicken tacos were also very tasty. Definitely one of the best meals we have had and we have dined at many high end restaurants around the world. The atmosphere inside is spectacular with the old world architecture brought into modernity. We spent some time in “the vault”which is a private room perfect for more intimate encounters as well as the main dining room. Sean (the manager/owner) checked in on us several times to ensure everything was to our satisfaction which we really appreciated. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an elevated dining experience.

Our first visit to The Bank was for the Cocktail Club... It did not disappoint, I loved everything about it. Sarah is brilliant, talented and hilarious. The flatbread pizza was out of this world. It was such a great experience I can't wait to go back.

We have had this place on our list for awhile now, and we were lucky enough to snag their final reservation for the night. Highly recommended tackeling this menus in stages/courses starting with a charcuterie board (the duck prosciutto is a must) and don’t sleep on their Olive bowl we nearly fought over every last piece. After that load up on small plates the arugula salad and pumpkin dishes are incredible and shouldn’t be missed. For large plates the shrimp was nice and we could have gone through multiple baguettes sopping up the sauce. Nice time we will have to start tackling the cocktail menu.

Stunning restaurant with an impressive menu and an amazing selection of wines and craft cocktails. Staff is also excellent.

We hosted a group of 20 people here for a dinner and trivia night. It was a blast. The team working with us, Alex, Sara and Morgan were phenomenal. No one was ever left waiting and they even played along with us in trivia. The food was nothing short of impressive and the cocktails were creative and delicious. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Thank you!
