I wish I could give this zero stars. We went last night and ordered a chicken sandwich. The chicken was literally RAW and PINK in the middle. I have been throwing up all day today. I will never return to a smokes
Came at 2am and there was only one person working. I feel bad for him because he had to take 9 orders (that I know of), prepare everything and also take Uber orders all by himself. The employee was overwhelmed and the orders were delayed. Management should do better and have more than on person scheduled
I wish I could hit zero stars. I only went in because I had a gift card, I'm never in the area, but finally was. The gift card didn't work, but I paid cash anyways, I'm hungry. The counter girl seemed to be the only one there, she was very apologetic the gift card didn't work. I waited extra time because she had to first take the order, then the guy behind me had to order, then she can start on both poutines. It'd be nice to have a cook in back who starts it while she attends to the line, it was like 12:30 when people eat lunch usually. While I waited for my order, I noticed the smell in that place is unbearable. It was hard to even describe, it smelled like vomit and mold or something. I ate outside it was so disgusting. I got a poutine that said it had "premium ground beef" on it. What I got was these odd, crunchy, hard pieces of meat. It looked like it was dehydrated beef someone never added water to. That or someone kind of innovative new "salty beef crouton". The portions for the mushrooms, onions, and cheese were a joke, I got about ten miniscule mushroom bits that look like they were soaked in black ink, and a sprinkle of onion and curds. I tipped the girl over 20% and she gave me tiny teaspoons of ingredients anyway. She also elected to give me my drink first, then cook the food. This makes the drink warm up while I wait. The gravy tasted strange and too salty. They failed in EVERY WAY. I feel ripped off. Eat anywhere else.
Amazing food options, great service and ambiance!! We tried their Avalanche poutine,Buffalo cauli ranch, Nashville Sandwich, Fried cheese curds and fried dill pickles and they all tasted amazing!!! Would definitely recommend to everyone!!! Service was great and it's just perfect for late night after some drinks ;) They are open till 4 am on weekends that's the best part
Just spent $70 for two people at smoke's poutine and it's was the worst poutine I think I've ever had. I got the Jamaican jerk chicken poutine and it was bland and waaaaay too salty. All I could taste was salt and sadness. The onion rings were good. I'm pretty sure all of the positive reviews are fake, the food is garbage. I don't think the people who bought this place even know what a poutine is.

This Smoke's is absolutely terrible. The poutine literally tastes like cardboard and it's clear that they're fully aware of it due to the large amounts of fake reviews posted. The store itself is small and has a few spots to sit.

I ordered through SkipTheDishes earlier today because when I have gone into the store in the past, they had what I personally deemed to be the best real, fresh, non frozen fries in town that I have had from a restaurant. However, ordering through Skip today was a different experience altogether, and not one I recommend anyone waste their money on. I will first say that the free tots I received and the popcorn chicken were not that bad, at least the kids seemed to think so, but the baked potatos under the fully loaded toppings tasted like they were recently thawed from frozen and were very bland, though the toppings did help make up for the lack of potato taste! But my traditional poutine that I added cheese sauce and guacamole and upgraded to WOW! size so I could share with my kids, the fries tasted like they were cooked the night before and reheated in a failed attempt to revive them. I paid $25 (+ freaking tax!) for a poutine that I had 3 bites of from different layers and spots, I tried to give the benefit of doubt and make sure it wasnt just a few stale old fries mixed in with fresh good fries, but my hope was completely dashed when the third bite from the very bottom middle of the box was just as old as the first and second bites... never again Smokes, you have now lost your rights to the title as best and gained Worst Stale Poutine In Town. Prove me wrong and do better for other customers, I will never trust enough to give you my money again though. * in response to your reply, there is no way those fries were fresh, I dont care how much the staff lies about what they did or did not do. The delivery was less than 10 minutes from your restaurant to my home which I tracked the whole way on their GPS, the driver drove directly here so the excuse of blaming them for taking too long doesnt fly. Also, I know stale fries when I taste them, those were not prepared when I placed my order, which I did not long after you opened for the day, so unless staff came in 2 hours or more before opening and pre-cooked fries for the day, theres no way they were made the same day. The taste and texture was that of fries that were left out overnight and then re-heated, not one in my box were fresh unfortunately. Staff can lie to save their jobs all they want, but it cost you a customer for life because $25 for a not very big box of poutine made from stale fries is not worth my money. I also wonder if the lack of quality is only done with those who order online for delivery, because my past in person experiences were nothing like this and would have given you a 5 star rating...

Never dining here again, my husband and I had horrid diarrhea for two days. the poutine was garbage, fries were soggy, like giant worms. The cheese curds only placed on top of the poutine, nothing underneath but gross soggy fries. Big waste of money. Parking: Nope

I haven t had a good poutine since I moved to Kingston. I tried Smokes Ugh. Not only was it a let down, it was just not poutine The French fries I honestly think they were just boiled Yes, in water. They were wet There was a cheese sauce but definitely not curds And it was just like warm I didn t expect the price as well. I would have been ok with it if it was delicious

I ordered wow sized wacky fries and I got barely any beef and barely any sauce so I basically payed 20$ for a half pound of fries

For a place open until four am on a Saturday evening, mostly frequented by drunk people leaving the clubs, the bathrooms are very clean!
Sadly I think this isnt the best poutine unless maybe you want all the add ons. It had very little cheese curds so it was basically just gravy fries.
I ve always come to this place to get poutine since 2016! My favourite is the Cheeseburger Poutine with Tater Tots on top! I recommend, plus it s open until very late!

Painfully mid. Seriously, if you like poutine - Skip this one, really not particularly impressed with the food. Worst part is that I brought a friend here, its our first time. We tried each others food and thought the same. The Montreal in me is crying! Sad, man...my day off and there are so many NICE places around here to eat, wasted opportunity and money in my opinion. The kindest thing I could say is that I guess I didnt leave hungry. Never again. :(

Came here for lunch with my husband. $40 for two poutines.. ridiculous. The entire time the girl working was on her phone talking in a different language. Not engaging or greeting customers. Dont understand how it s normal now to just speak on your phone at work the entire time. It s so disrespectful.

Always think of Smoke s after late night drink. Love it when it s not just potato and gravy in a poutine. Recommend Prime Beef Deluxe , rly comforting in cold winter. Look forward to exploring more flavors!
