35 Brock St, Kingston, ON K7L 3B5, Canada
Stylish spot offering elevated Italian mains with a twist along with international wines & pairings.
3.8. Nice vibe, well-lit. Kind of reminiscent of a Joey’s’ or milestones-type of place. Big menu with something for everyone. Favourite item was the Ceasar salad but it was definitely over-dressed. They use vegetable oil in the fryer (which has soybean oil in it) so if you avoid seed-oils be mindful of that. There is a big pasta selection and they’re good but not amazing. Classic family-style Italian, the pasta is also over-sauced. Drinks were good, I had the chai tequila drink and really enjoyed it. Ample wine selection as well.
Absolutely loved this experience! All the staff were lovely. So friendly and pleasant. Food was outstanding. Jasmine was our server and she was so attentive and friendly. Totally recommend. Loved the spicy shrimp apps and bread and olive oil.
We booked for a Wednesday lunch. There was a large group in the back so we sat at the bar to avoid noise. Staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The food was out quickly and hot. Presentation was superb and everything was delicious. Very authentic flavours. Also very good portions for the price. Thank you.
A nice Italian restaurant with differing dishes and a. Ice selection of shared plates. Wines and beverages are lovely. The service is good and if you’re able to get seated on the second floor it’s a lot quieter. Beautiful interior and even sitting at the bar is fun. We’ve been a few times for date nights and always have a good time. One thing is that their vongole dish has changed.
Visited this restaurant with my friends last night, on August 27th, 2024. This was my first time here and it was a great experience. To start, the interior is beautiful! I love the decor and the lighting which makes the experience feel luxurious! Great vibes for dinner with friends, family, and for dates. The service was also great and our server recommended some great dishes for us to try. We also got our water refilled routinely without needing to ask, which is a must for me while dining in. We started with some bread and oil ($5) and calamari ($20-something) for our appetizers, which tasted great. For my meal, I got the Genovese ($31) and it was absolutely delicious! It was cooked to perfection and everything was very nicely plated. Completely cleared my plate and have no concerns whatsoever. Overall 10/10 and would definitely come back again!
I had dinner tonight, it was an excellent experience, a beautiful blonde girl served me, my parents and grandparents. This girl exudes happiness. Is it possible to have her first name? We were on the table in front of the bar at the entrance of the restaurant. I recommend this restaurant 100% for a trip to this city!
I had a lovely meal here. I've heard great things about Casa, but I wasn't able to go on my last trip due to limited capacity during the pandemic. My experience this time did not disappoint. It was pricey, but a must for special occasions. Bonus: It was the perfect location that had a patio with a view of Market Square.
In the heart of downtown is this lovely restaurant with delicious pasta. The quality and portions was amazing. I couldn’t get over how delicious the meal was. Definitely be back for a bite to eat again.
They gave me a free cake for my birthday
Nice and cozy place for people gathering. Food quality seems a hit or miss, certain dishes were in good portion but some are not.
Despite my birthday reservation dinner being messed up and the wrong dates - Casa gave me and my 18 friends of mine a free round of shots .. not only that . But we ended up going somewhere else for dinner & they called and put our first round on them. I just wanted to say a big thank you and no hard feelings for messing up my birthday dinner - so so very kind You guys definitely made up for it :) Happy holidays friends :) Thanks again
Vegetarian options: Took the suggestion from the server and had the MELANZANE PARMIGIANO to start and the RAVIOLI DI FUNGHI. Both were very tasty. We also ordered the BRUSCHETTA, but it was very average tasting for the price of $20 for 4 slices.
Adam was very accommodating, we had a lovely Anniversary Dinner
The food use to be REALY good before . Now with the new fancy stuff, they ruined what use to be really good, very disappointed service was amazing, but the food, very poor
First time visit during a work lunch and I couldnt have been more impressed! The atmosphere was inviting, staff was very professional and polite, and the food was exceptional! Will absolutely be back!
I took my family to Casa Domico and I had amazing food I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone the service was fantastic and the food was out of this world..
The food here is very good but since the renovations they opened up space making for an extremely noisy place. Everyone I speak to says the same thing, and most won t go back. We could not even hear the person beside us.
Always a staple for us. Have been there weekly during OHL season. The menu never fails us. The staff are always attentive and accommodating. Love some of the new items on menu. I would do 5 stars for atmosphere, but its loud and hard to hear the person next to you at times (were mostly seated at the bar, but have tried tables upstairs, downstairs, and harvest table). I think theyve been working on this as weve noticed a bit of a difference.
Great restaurant in downtown Kingston! Incredible food, service, and atmosphere.
Delicious from start to finish we will 100% be back and highly recommend.
Wheelchair accessibility: no accessible washrooms as restaurant is in an old building & the washrooms are on the upper floor. Food
Almost empty restaurant, but lady said they are full and we can t have a table. Very unfriendly
Be careful to book in advance. This restaurant is often full. The Bolognese pasta is a treat. We ate in the upstairs room which is much quieter than the rest of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to lovers of Italian cuisine.
Very nice day on the terrace, apart from all the delicious dishes we really liked the famous Brusheta with goat cheese...amazing!!!
The food was great and service was excellent. Thank you Allen. I do have a few suggestions. The choice of music and volume could use an adjustment. We found the sides strange. Grilled octopus starter with potatoes? Small side salad would be better. Sea Bass was delicious but too much risotto...cut serving in half. Lamb chops with salad? This is where the potatoes should have been. However that said, we will be back. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are upstairs.
The portion size of my meal was small. The butternut squash ravioli was very tasty but it looked lonely on the plate. Could have used some salad greens. I had to order dessert as I would have stoll been hungry. The apple spice tiramisu was also tasty and a good portion size. The bread for starters was also very tasty. The waitress was attentive. The upstairs dining area definitely needs some ambience as I stared at blank off white drywall during my meal. Also could have used some low music perhaps or better lighting to give a nicer atmosphere for dining. Given the number of restaurants, I would try elsewhere next time. Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian pastas.
Excellent service and food and they make a fantastic Negroni.
Casa Domenico has always been an excellent spot in Kingston - its longevity speaks for itself. The renovated space is beautiful and the refreshed menu amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented (must try: scallops and shrimp appetizers). It is well worth the 2-hr stop on our drive home.
Excellent service! The food is delicious, high, fresh & top quality! The atmosphere is busy but it s quiet. The restaurant has a great vibe for young and older crowd . Highly recommend
Best pasta!
Beautiful night in Kingston!
Thanks to Angie for the service. She is very kind and smiling. She was very helpful with our poor English vocabulary. Everything is homemade.
Very good service, beautiful presentation, tasty. We go back to taste other dishes. (The veal spaghetti meatballs were excellent!!)
The food was amazing, drinks were super good. The service was the best here. It was around 30-40 per person for the drink and food which I find quite okay
We had three pasta meals and they were all excellent!
Very good services and food
Service was lovely; Bresaola (?) yummy; my husbands ravioli really good; my pasta with shrimp was fine. My low score is mostly due to the atmosphere. It doesnt have any! Since the renovation it has taken on the bad-tributes of a dentists waiting office or an upscale cafeteria. Overhead pot-lights; no real Art on the walls; terrible uncurated music; and dead acoustics. The old bar-area was always buzzy and busy; the new one is empty and sterile. The seating areas were lush and cozy and now they are cold and angular. Im not saying the old Casa was perfect - it definitely needed some thought and reconfiguration, but this is not yet an improvement. It is such a shame.
Good looking restaurant, staff was nice and friendly. At first I wasnt sure if I would be paying for the decor or the food , I had the Branzino with risotto, it was an excellent dish , I would definitely visit again next time I am in Kingston.
First time here. Great food and costumer service. If you are the owner, please open in Montréal Food : 5/5
First time. Adam was our waiter. Very nice and efficient. 8:15pm reservation, seated right away. All 4 of us commented on how comfortable the chairs were. Plus, we didnt feel crowded. Started with bruschetta and pre dinner drinks. Then salads, then entrée. 2 bottles of wine. Shared frozen mousse with hazelnuts and cappuccinos. Everything was delicious. The place was full. Everyone was enjoying their food and socializing and enjoying the slow, non hurried pace. We will be going back.
I m Italian, and I loved it! Some nice revisited classic recipes, very well executed. The butter and sage was really genius, good job!
My friend and I went to dinner here last night. The food was excellent and our server Megan was fabulous. We had a great night overall and would definitely come back :)
The place is great and the lighting is dim. The food is very delicious. Food : 5/5
A high quality Italian restaurant, upscale but accessible. Tasty, well-presented dishes and impeccable, attentive service. We had a great time. Even the toilets are perfect! Well located close to the port and the city center. I recommend without reservation.
There is nothing I can say bad about this place. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. My wife and I had our reception here 8 years ago. We recently had our anniversary here and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you
We ate on the terrace, it was very pleasant. The food was delicious but nothing more, it was missing something... good service.
We went to this resto on April 26/24. The atmosphere was great, a little noisy but got used to it. Our server was Elijah. My husband has been on a restrictive diet fairly recently and when he explained it to Elijah, he double-checked with the kitchen to see if the choices would fit into this. He also went in while it was being made to confirm the process, and to make sure it fit with my husband. Great guy and very thoughtful. The place has been around for almost 40 yrs but the design has been kept up to date. The night we were there, was one of the first good weather days for eating outside but we reserved for in. Place was hopping everywhere. The food was delicious, fresh, presentation was pretty. He had verde salad with shrimp, grilled octopus, and a couple of lattes and I had carpaccio di manzo and zucca e salvia, and a couple of glasses of wine. Yummy! There was no room left for dessert. This would be worth the trip to Kingston just for the dinner. Cost, not including tip, was $142.95.
We had our first experience at Casa. Absolutely delicious food, dessert and an amazing service from our server Saige!
For a nice date,to relax on the patio, theres very few other Italian places to beat
We enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration at Casa. Began with arancini and carpaccio. Just delicious! We then ordered the Saltimbocca, spicy lamb pasta and the pasta limone. Every dish was outstanding and the service was top notch. Dont forget the Tiramisu for dessert as its one of the best Ive ever had. Thank you for a great evening.
Excellent dining experience!!! Great Food.Great Service Food
Great food and service at the newly revamped Casa!
Went for dinner to celebrate my 75th birthday and it was an overall wonderful experience Wayne made my birthday dinner very special Maddie my waitress was efficient kind and all the staff were so pleasant. The seafood linguine with lobster was just delicious and my partners raviolis stuffed with squash was excellent as well as the salad we had with prosciutto and goats cheese was exceptional. The tiramisu and cappuccino for dessert was perfect, the Casa staff and food made my birthday an unforgettable wonderful experience Dietary restrictions: When the waitress was told about my partners, dietary restrictions, she was knowledgable and advised us properly
My partner Robert was celebrating his 75th birthday. They greeted us and gave an excellent table the waitress was efficient and kind. The meal was delicious overall a great experience
Dropped in last night for my partners birthday dinner. Loved the rennos. Very classy. Great apps and dinner. Elijahs service was exceptional. Will certainly be back for more.
I am literally sitting in my seat at this restaurant as I write this review. Ohhhh my goodness!! This was INCREDIBLE!!! I had the pasta, Meta Italiano, and it was the best white sauce that I have EVER had. I added shrimp and it was perfect. Our server, Eijah was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with all of our wine and food choices. (And so polite and respectful.) We cant wait to bring our friends and family here. We will be back!!!!
The food is actually not bad but waiting for too long at least 45 minutes. All of us are starving and we dont even see a piece of bread coming. Pricy place but its really not bad if youre rich and have so much time for waiting plus youre not too hungry. By the way theres no kids menu its not kids friendly.
We had our first dinner in March in the newly renovated space which is a great improvement. Well except for the noise. Our wait person said that they were trying to do something about this. We asked if would be quieter in the new created 2nd floor and the reply was , yes. We decided to give Casa another try in early April and specifically asked for an upstairs seating for our Wednesday reservation explaining that it was because of the noise. When we arrived we were told they dont use the upstairs space during the week. Instead thay sat us at the back probably the noisiest part of the restaurant--not paying attention to client needs. Now we are reluctant to try Casa again. We enjoy the food, the service is always great but the noise is a nonstarter.
We were visiting Kingston from Cambridge over the weekend and had looked ahead of time for a unique restaurant to try downtown. We were waitlisted for a 5:30p reservation but it came through and we were able to dine at Casa Saturday evening. It was our first visit so to me the atmosphere was lovely and it appears theyve done a great job with recent renos. The food and service were top notch. We had bread & oil, caesar salad to share, which they graciously split onto two plates for plates for us, spahettini con polpette and aragosta. Everything was delicious, well presented and good portions. I wish I had gotten the servers name (or remembered it) because she was fabulous! As it turned out, my long time boyfriend worked with our fabulous server to pull off a surprise proposal. The entire was staff was so wonderful about it and made it extra special with an added beautiful touch of champagne and dessert. We are so grateful for the experience. Considering we werent sure if we had the reservation to being able to share our milestone there, it was an eventful night! Casa is now part of our story and such a great restaurant that we will now always be able to come back to! If you were there Saturday April 13th, thank you so much everyone (staff and patrons!) for creating a wonderful memory and being part of our journey! ~ Amanda & Jason
It was our first time at casa. The atmosphere was ok, our waiter was very nice and friendly. I am always bothered when you go to a semi fine dining restaurant and the food is not that good. Not only were the portions very small, but my fish was overdone and chewy. When you are paying $40 for a small portion it needs to be a home run every time. So disappointed to say the least. We were offered a piece of cheesecake to try and make up for the poor food quality, but The cake was clearly just out of a box and was not worth the calories. My wife got the special of the night it was also a disappointment. The food was not taken off the bill but we were offered a free drink instead. Definitely not worth the money!!
Tasty. Friendly.
I miss the old casa!
Very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Loved watching the dedicated and professional chefs as they cooked. Our food was so fresh and perfectly done - I would say it was the best meal Ive ever had. The menu is exciting, so full of flavors. Our server was professional and welcoming and took the time to present each dish. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Amazing place for higher-end, fine Italian dining.
Nice and quiet which I like. However, I miss chicken pesto tho. Used to be my fav.
Super atmosphere fine food. Ava soipoib server. Super classy hostess
Great food and great service. The atmosphere is very nice but it is very noisy. Vegetarian options: A good variety of vegetarian options with the ability to have the meat removed from some of the non-vegetarian options. Food : 5/5 |
Food and service great! However atmosphere poor because music is much too loud.
My girlfriends and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Casa Dominica. The food was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The wines on offer were well matched to our meals. The staff are superb. Special kudos to our server Megan.
Food was amazing-delicious as previous! Service was perfect. Big downfall was the atmosphere. My husband and I were there for a significant anniversary. Our table was near the open kitchen entrance floating between two other tables. Staff needed to pass through to get to other tables which definitely impacted the romantic intention of the dinner out. It seems everyone s voice is spinning around in the room-combine that with the open kitchen/dishes it was very loud. We re not sure if we ll return.
One of , if not our favorite place to go eat anywhere and we do a lot of traveling and always glad to come home and go here, we love the new look, and the new renovation, the staff are great as always !
After a long wait we enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends here on Saturday. Loved the renovation, food and service is top notch. Will be back for certain.
This is the most romantic place i fell in love instantly with it, even though we got the sitting outside it was great food and ambience and we could take good food with good view a true delight! Food : 5/5
Returned to Casa for our first visit since the renovation for as a group of 4. Atmosphere was nice and updated. Food was just OK. Lamb Ragu + feta addition was very bland and had no noticeable feta outside of a few tiny crumbs despite paying $4 extra. Caesar salads were bland. Our guest did however enjoy the smoked mozzarella ravioli special. We were asked once by staff if we wanted another beverage and my wine order never appeared during the meal so I requested to cancel it. Not a bad restaurant, but not even close enough of a notable experience to warrant this level of dining $. Better restaurants to visit in town if you are looking for an elevated dining experience.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is an amazing restaurant the atmosphere is amazing and all of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Now the food was the best I have had in the area. Would highly recommend and they make a wonderful paper kite.
Went for dinner last night, 1st time since the Reno. What a lovely spot, it s light and airy. The look has changed but the food and staff are 5 star still. Our waitress Ava was amazing and the food was some of the best I ve had. Grilled octopus is always a favorite and my arancini (no words),and the tuna done 3 ways was the best!!! We will be back soon
Very good food, service was excellent and atmosphere was very nice. I deducted one star as paying for a bill over 200$ and not providing at least one piece of bread is very disappointing. We paid for bread and the beginning of meal which was fine. My son ordered a plate of pasta and asked for one small piece of bread for the sauce which is a compliment we were told sorry we have to charge because of counting our inventory. Very disappointing as mentioned, the bill with tip was close to 300$ and not even a small piece of bread.
Pear and gorgonzola salad was the best rendition I have ever had; perfectly balanced bite of balsamic vinaigrette, combined with almost creamy ripe pears and black-pepper candied cashews. The spicy lamb on fettuccini (Sugo DAgnello) was amazing too.
Its a little expensive but everything is delicious!
Looking for an ambiance of authentic Old Kingston Linestone Charm - Look no further! Enjoy everything that Casa Domenico has to offer: Great Food Great Service Great Ambiance ( second floor seating) Enjoy! Cheers!
What have they done to the interior!? The character and charm has been removed as a result of the renovation.
It was my first time back there in over 20 years. Id totally forgotten how much I enjoy their food. An amazing evening out and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you.
New Reno looks great. However the food was disappointing.
I went for my birthday. great staff
Best steak Ive ever eaten in 50 years.
Food and service were incredible but so disappointing that wine wasn t shelved at the right temperature. Red wine that was not suppose to be chilled was served cold.
Service was great, food was alright. The quantity and quality has somewhat lessened since before the renovation. The saddest part of this restaurant is the renovation - the space is now cold, it feels like a dinner you go to after a conference meeting. Its grey and the lighting is dim in an unintentional way. The bar area and kitchen area look nice and modern, but otherwise Casa has lost its charm, romantic, home-y vibe that made it such a great place for a date.
Some of the best pasta I ve had.
One of the best restaurants in Kingston. The food, value, and service are first rate. You simply can t get a better location in downtown Kingston. The staff is very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.
Tried to make a reservation 3 times no one answered. I was coming from Toronto herd it was good won t know now.
Booked a birthday dinner for 12. Food was amazing, service was great as always, they allowed us to bring a large birthday cake and even offered to store it for me until tomorrow to pick up the left overs. Thank you!!!! 10/10
My wife and I showed up to Casa spontaneously for our Wedding Anniversary tonight, we are from out of town. Upon entering the restaurant and asking if they had room for a party of 2 we were presented with the greeter inform us that as long as we were out by 6:30pm it be fine . I took everything in me to not look at my wife and goto another establishment. I found that greeter to be rude and honestly, the owner should have a long talk with her about what is proper customer service. Aside from that, the waitress was really friendly, prices were not outrageous and the food was actually really good. I had the Spaghetti and meatball and my wife had a lemon chicken linguini and we shared a cheesecake. Was delicious. It was just the beginning that seemed off and my wife and I agreed we just felt rushed.
Had a wonderful dinner on Sat Nov 4/23- enjoying the braised lamb, ravioli & arancini all very much. The new renovations make for a classy, stylish room. Also professional- and genuine- service from Julia.
Delicious food ! Space is great . Friendly staff.
You have to go there. Superb.
Everything was perfect. Each course, wine and service. Look forward to our next dinner at Casa Domenico!
I used to be a regular guest at Casa at least once monthly for many years. Last week was my first dinner with friends since reopening. My impressions are: 1. Food - great quality and portions as always. Great wine list. 2. Service - OK. We had one waitress who was jumping around the table all the time. A kind of restless person who was rushing with moving the glasses and dishes as soon as we ate the last bite. Annoying. 3. Ambience - disappointing and very loud !!! The owners probably invested a great deal of money for a very simple design, but Casa lost it s elegance, privacy and beauty. I would ask for a desinger to give me a money back !!! The Casa lost its signature!
Food was not great, very over priced.
Very nice place
This restaurant blew us away. We shared two appetizers and the three of us each had an entree. All of the food, drinks, wine, and desserts were amazing!
Super meal. They made me custom vegan pasta. We were lucky to get a table due to a cancellation. Service was excellent. Staff seemed happy to be there.
Server was wearing the entire bottle of very heavy perfume. Very strange in a restaurant setting. Calamari appetizer was very rubbery. All food was drenched in olive oil. Not sure if the chef had an off night or was trying to mask flavours. Otherwise food was ok, definitely not worth a return.
Fine dining in Kingston. I ve tried many Italian restaurants in Kingston and I d have to say this one comes out on top for me. The food tastes fresh and the atmosphere is very nice.
Lovely romantic vibe. Candle lit dinner. From the seats by the window you could see all the lights by city hall. Staff was all very polite and friendly. Food was delicious, definitely am going back there again for date nights !
amazing italian food - one of the best bruschetta we ve ever had!
Best Italian food ever, but they could be a little more generous with the espresso.
Food was unreal, same w service
Wonderful restaurant with excellent food and wine. The food never disappoints!!
Went there while visiting a friend in Kingston. The restaurant was rather busy, yet the staff offered us to sit at the bar while we waited for a table to get freed. They didnt have to offer us this alternative yet they still did which meant a lot. The food was great and the drinks were wonderful. I would definitely recommend a visit at Casa Domenico for a good time and good food.
Love the settings and services. Food is at the salty side as I tend to eat mild. But the dessert is exceptionally good.
Went there to celebrate my girlfriends graduation and I could not believe how good the food was. The gnocchi with cheese sauce is one of the best dishes I have had. The lamb fettuccine was perfect as well. 100% recommended, whether its a special occasion or not. This place wont disappoint.
Absolutely fantastic Italian cuisine and great service. Ceasar salad was one of the best Ive had and the gnocchi di Casa was incredibly flavoured with roasted pistachios, mushrooms and gorganzola cheese. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you love Italian cuisine and are looking for a nice meal.
Ive never been disappointed with the food or service at Casa. Ambience is great. Lively. A bit loud, but not so much that you cant converse. Portions are very generous, especially for fine dining. Not cheap, but worth it.
All the food is great. The warm bread with garlic oil is amazing. Highly recommended all the starters. The lamb chops were very good as a main.
Always a wonderful time
Took my daughter for a Birthday dinner and the food was amazing. Our waitress Maddie was amazing and my husbands mug was always filled up with coffee Win win!!
We visited this restaurant on March 27th, 2022. The ambience is okay although when I visit an Italian restaurant of this price point I expect to hear low ambient Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, not the medley of assorted modern music that was playing. Service was fairly prompt and pleasant, and our water glasses were quickly filled - only to find that both glasses were stuck to the tabletop - which itself was not very clean. My partner sat on the bench seat side of the table with no complaint; I sat on a chair that positioned the table somewhere in line with my breast bone. All of the chairs are the same, and all of them are too low, probably chosen by an interior designer having more concern for appearance than ergonomics. Moving on to the food, it was actually very good. My partner started with calamari, which when arrived smelled strongly of fish, but she assured me there was no unpleasant taste. I had been hoping for a soup to start but none was offered, so I had veal meatballs which were in a very rich red sauce. Delicious. As a second course we had Caesar salad which was plentiful to the point where I could not eat all of it. Also delicious. For a main my partner chose a shrimp pasta dish which she assured me was yummy - it was supposed to be a bit spicy but it wasnt really. I had Black Cod, a delectable white fish on a bed of small chunks of sweet potato and greens. We were entirely satisfied by these main choices. Overall I think a little more attention to detail would improve this restaurant, and some chairs more suited to the table height.
We had a great dinner for our 91 year young Mother. Special thanks to Michelle for rescuing a bad start and awesomely making it a great evening.
Absolutely perfect
Wow, food and service is fantastic.
I like their food !
The food was excellent. Our waitress was too. I highly recommend this place (I had lamb chops). Tiramisu was light and delicate.
The spaghetti was fantastic, so delicious and tasty. The Caesar Salad was special. Thanks to Sophie for being so kind and helpful and informative regarding choosing the food. Great experience!
Outstanding meal! Nice, friendly staff. Well rounded menu - something for everyone. Pasta dishes were amazing. Our table had the carbonara, limone and the salmon special. Nice wine list too. I think I heard the staff say they are taking reservations up to 2 months in advance now. Cant wait to go back!!
Great food, busy place. A little loud perhaps on a busy night for Romantic dinner but overall excellent.
My favourite spot for classic Italian in Kingston. While I was at Queens this was my roommate and Is go to spot for special dinners, along with being my parents fave spot when they visited. I absolutely loved everything I tried and highly recommend the butternut squash ravioli (ZUCCA E SALVIA) as an appy to share or entrée. I cant wait to be back in Kingston to visit Casa Domenico again.
Amazing dinner! The wine list is amazing, service extraordinary. We were a party of 11 and everyone was very happy with what they ordered. I feel that you can t go wrong here. I had the carpaccio to start and the Diavola pasta with shrimp and nduja salami (which was fantastic). The portions were very generous for the quality of the food. I also tried my friends grilled octopus, which I would say is a must have, and even the bread and oil is a must order for the table.
Good Italian restaurant! Delicious carpaccio, caprese salad and tasty pasta! Recommended!
This restaurant is consistently very good. The setting is beautiful, and the food is great. The octopus is incredible, and often that is what I order for a main along with a salad. Last night I ordered pasta and it was the best pasta dish I have ever had. I can t wait to go back.
A great address, very good dishes but for 3/4 spicy, even those which are not indicated as spicy are.
Over priced breakfast.
GREAT ITALIAN DINING EXPERIENCE Great ambient, very good service, the four different courses were all very very tasty and the dessert one of the best Tiramisu I have had. (I can compare enjoying them in Germany and best of all Italy). Saige was a fantastic waitress.
Great food and even better service. This restaurant will be a staple stop for me in Kingston!
Good pizza
Food was what you should expect at a good Italian resto. Jordan was so patient with my requests and still provided top notch service. I will definitley return to Casa, to explore more of what this place has to offer
The food was fantastic, I had the carbonara and it was perfect. The inside of the restaurant is nice and not very noisy. The service was bad. They took forever with the drinks. At the end I had to order my coffee twice from the same waitress because it never came, she asked me who take that order the first time. Someone in my table received his dish without peas and when he noticed later and asked, they took the plate inside and came back to told us that they didn t have peas. I think that is something you let people know in advance. Minutes later the waitress came with asparagus as a courtesy but she didn t ask him if he wanted that or something else. Overall, I found it overpriced. I had better carbonaras for way better prices.
Adam was our server, and he was spot on. He knew the dishes, menu and kitchen inside out. When the bruschetta knocks your taste buds, you know you found the right spot. Our meals and service were spectacular! Super atmosphere!
Outstanding food selection from appetizers to main course and everything in between, prompt and courteous service at this location, clean and organized, very friendly staff, gave 4 stars because its very expensive, $140 for 2 people to eat app, 2 dinners and 2 drinks each, in light of price I feel this restaurant is highly recommended!
If the food at Casa Domenico wasn t as delicious as it was I would have been disappointed by the experience. We made a reservation for 8:30 and were not seated until 8:45, and were completely ignored by all the staff during that wait time. Additionally, it was clear that we were our waitress last priority. She took a long while to take our orders. The food took a really long time to come out. Luckily, the food was divine and almost made up for the long wait. Pricing was fair for what you get. The food is worth it but be prepared to wait before you get your order.
ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR. The food was amazing but I have to say the few staff that were working that night were the STARS! We were there on Tuesdays, August 2nd. They were short staffed(as many establishments are at this time) but each and every one of the staff that were working in the packed restaurant, bar, and patio never showed one bit of stress. We felt very well served from the moment we walked in. The servers and hosts all worked together to make sure everyone was taken care of. Honestly, even if the food had sucked, which it absolutely did not, I would go back because of the amazing service. WAY TO GO CASA!
Very good food! Similar to a place in Windsor. But the portions are smaller and the drinks are way over priced. Otherwise good food!
Reliably good fare.
Patient friendly service, delicious food, great atmosphere.
Excellent!
Five stars! Thank you to Megan, Jasmine and Olivia aka The General. We highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!
I wish I could give 10 stars. By far the best meal out in a long long time. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend the grilled octopus starter. Both entrees delicious and the best tiramisu Ive ever had. On top of that our waitress Grace was the best! Thank you for making our Anniversary the best
I always enjoy Casa. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, both wine and food. Always a quality meal, that never disappoints
Walked in last night..no reservations..busy Sunday of long weekend. They had no tables available. They said we have room at the bar..The 4 of us said ok...BOY so glad we did..fantastic service from lady behind the bar..fantastic meal..well done....
Small place. Great food but pricey. Comfortable seating. Server was great.
DISAPPOINTING SERVICE! DELICIOUS FOOD!! My second visit. This time with the family. The waitress had an attitude and was very curt! Forgot to get her name. She was clearly nice to other customers. Was it our colour ? Ironically, it was multi-cultural day in Kingston with many festivities. We tipped her anyway, as it is the expectation. Would definitely give 5 stars. food, delicious and authentic. We tried the calamari, grilled octopus, penne alla vodka, puttanesca and shrimp linguine.
It was extremely loud and wife ended up with food all over her dress from the chair left by people before. Food is fine but similar to East Side Marios, service was mediocre but place was busy.
Delicious pasta, the carbonara was to die for. Vast selection of wine.
Was excited to dine here for me and my girlfriends anniversary, and heard nothing but good things about Casa. Unfortunately, we sat there for 45 minutes without even a drink order and arrived on time for our reservation. As well, 2 groups who arrived after were served before us.
Went in with my boyfriend for our anniversary. We made a reservation prior too, came, sat and waited for an hour. No one came to speak to us at all after seating us, and several tables who showed up after were served. I had asked someone who our server was supposed to be and nobody had an answer for us. I was really looking forward to dining with Casa but I sadly will not be coming again, or recommending to others. Very disappointed.
Love their pastas! A quaint place with a good ambience for a date night.
Very delicious, expensive though. Still, I enjoy a trip here every time.
Delicious pasta!
Soooo nice service Tasty We love Tiramisu forever!
My friend and I ate here last Saturday and really enjoyed ourselves. We had the bruschetta, which was large and very tasty, the seafood risotto, the spaghetti with lamb ragu and the puttanesca. We enjoyed every item and only felt bad about not being able to finish it all! Our server was very friendly and the atmosphere was casual yet classy. I would definitely return next time Im in Kingston.
Good service and Italian style food. Centrally located, would go back again.
In the past I would have given this place a 4 or 5 star. However, I was pretty disappointed that they don t offer fresh parmesan. For an Italian restaurant to brig drided parmesan when requested more cheese was very disappointing. Where s the fresh Parmiggiana Reggiano!! And service is slow, slow - canned smiles, no real sense that customers are valued. Disappointing. And this used to be one of my favourite downtown restaurants.
Wow amazing place Great service
My favorite place for authentic Italian food. Great restaurant and location.
Great food, great service. Getting what you pay for.
Great patio, good food
Great food and excellent service!
Absolutely amazing. Excellent service. Food was off the chart perfect. Wine selection very solid. Repeat visit 100%
NOT A PLACE FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION Spouse made a Reservation 9/11/21 at 4:17 under surname K for 6p.m on 9/18/21 for my Birthday. He requested that a candle and Happy birthday be put on the dessert as a surprise for me.The person who took the reservation assured him that the restaurant would be happy to do it. Dessert arrived with nothing on it. If you are going to have a special dinner here make sure you always get the name of the person and call the day of your visit. Or better yet ask for email confirmation so your special occasion wont be dampened. Otherwise our server was very good.
Poor service. Got my order. Waiter 20+ minutes for our bill. Never checked in on while eating.
Great Italian. Great staff.
Went to this restaurant for lunch today, the reviews were correct. It was a very good Italian restaurant. We ordered bruschetta and it was very good. The pasta was cook to perfection.
The meal was very mediocre, so overpriced not worth it
This is off the charts good. Excellent wine selection. Service was spot on. Food, well set a new standard for Veal as far as I am concerned. A must go to spot in Kingston. Not cheap, but the quality and value
Excellent food and ambiance with great service. What more could one want?
Went to Casa Dominico for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. I chose it because it had gluten free options and I called ahead to confirm this (because we were visiting Kingston) however there was some confusion when we arrived about what was available. I ended up ordering one of the chicken dishes, which was pretty good. My husband ordered the branzino and said it was amazing. The service was attentive but lacked polish. Overall, an enjoyable meal.
Everything about this place is top notch. If you wish for amazing service, great atmosphere, high quality food, a classy evening and so much more; Casa is and has been for the over 10 years Ive lived in this city, the #1 spot to go.
Outstanding, staff, food, ambience, wine, great recommendations all around!
Early in the pandemic four young tourists were sitting at the next table. One of the women shoved her phone towards me and demanded I take her picture. I said no thank you and turned back to my friend and my dinner. This was early in the pandemic but I knew not to touch someone elses phone. The woman kept demanding I take their picture then her husband stood up and started saying he would fight me about it. I just waited it out but next the woman started screaming , I FEEL THREATENED! I FEEL THREATENED! The manager came to see what was happening then threw me and my deaf friend out on their word. 80% of this was the fault of the evil tourist customers but the restaurant blew it on the other 20% and now theyve lost regular locals.
Wonderful food. Excellent service!
A very nice restaurant with really good food and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. We appreciated the visit very much!
Perfectly done pasta (the Limone fettuccine ) and excellent service in a modern, vibrant setting.
A Very very very rude staff ! Not accommodating at all. I spoke to a gentleman (not so much of a one ) over the phone and that was enough for me to say that I don t want to ever go to this restaurant.
Very good restaurant food was excellent the waiter who served us was very professional and friendly
I had a great first experience here. The food was good but I most enjoyed the company, ambience, appetite and dessert.
Great service, and even better cheesecake!
3 of us went to dinner on Saturday evening at 4:30.( this was the only time available) We were told the next reservation would be arriving at 6:30 at the time of booking. We had drinks, 3 appetizers, 3 mains and a bottle of wine. All of which were lovely a long with our service. At almost 6:15 we were told that there were people at the bar waiting for our table....I then asked if we did not have the table until 630 as we were told 4 days prior..we were then told that there was some type of miscommunication. No apologies , just an expectation and a healthy hint that our stay was finished. We were finishing our drinks and had paid our bill too...what a way to cramp our style on an otherwise lovely evening. We will return, but not anytime soon.
Incredible dinner from start to finish. The octopus was perfectly cooked and some of the best I ve ever had. The gnocchi was very rich, has a strong mushroom flavour and the pistachios give it a nice crunch. The risotto, chefs kiss, knocked it out of the park! Decent amount of spice, smokey pancetta, the meatiest shrimp cooked to perfection. I can t recommend it enough.
Good food and friendly professional staff the atmosphere is a little too loud; and will need to raise your voice for your partner across the table to hear you. The food prices are reasonable and food served in good portions.
The Manzo is absolute perfection.
It was a great experience for our Anniversary dinner. We recommend this place .thanks to Kelsie for great service.
