My food was tasty! I ordered a kabab koobideh wrap; the meat was nicely spiced/seasoned, and the vegetables added a nice level of freshness. The garlic potatoes were also very good. I would recommend getting an additional side of the garlic sauce, but I am a sucker for that stuff! I would really like to highlight how exceptional the service was. The man who served us was very friendly and accommodating. I asked about some of the desserts after I had finished my meal and he gave me some complimentary basbousa! He also provided us with tea prior to our meal.

We were brought here by friends who raved about the food. My wife had the Chicken Sultani salad and I had the Saffron chicken and rice platter. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff, but everything was dry, flavorless and bland except the kabab Koobideh which was palatable. The Ali Baba chicken in the salad was hard, like it was reheated and served and the salad itself was barely seasoned. The chicken legs in the Saffron chicken were burnt on one side and tough on the other. Not an ounce of juice in either. The rice in the Saffron chicken platter was just plain boiled rice, no herbs, no seasoning, no nothing except for literally a few grains of saffron rice on top. To top it all off, this meal of dry chicken, small amount of salad and plain rice cost us $40. Totally unacceptable. I wouldnt recommend this place to my enemy if the food is this bad.

I ordered a sultani salad. The freshest veggies, and delicious chicken and kabab! I was stunned! Not oily at all. Worth every penny. And the gentleman at the front was incredibly sweet and kind! Would definitely recommend.

Imagine my dismay when, after eagerly anticipating my latest takeout order, I discovered, not the beloved treat I craved, but a mere supermarket biscuit. This unexpected substitution left me profoundly disappointed, a stark contrast to the high expectations Ive come to associate with your usually delightful offerings.

Met owner of the restaurant he was so humble and friendly and food was awesomely delicious and authentic Persian. Was surprised in this weather they were working with a positive and humble attitude.

Its delicious, but except for the mutton, everything else is rather dull and not juicy. I couldnt eat it after two bites. Im not used to eating rice. The hummus is delicious. I think the most delicious thing is the lamb, but the fennel rice that comes with the lamb is weird. I will probably come back next time and order the lamb without the rice. Mutton is so fragrant The picture is of some kind of mix, I forgot the specific name. The sheep I ordered was the sheep my friend ordered, so I didn t take any pictures.

The kindest person you can find in Kingston! We were looking for an open restaurant at 10 pm and even though he was closing, he let us order and even put more than we ordered. The food is also amazing. The best shawarma wrap we had in Kingston. Generous amount of meat and great flavours.

I think about this restaurant everytime I eat out. I ve since moved out of kingston, but I can t find a restaurant that provides the same hospitality, warmth, and delicious tea. The food is immaculate and affordable. I never thought I d love Persian food until this restaurant introduced me to their cuisine. I can t wait to come back to kingston to have some more kebabs!

Visited Kingston on the way to Toronto. Decided to get some shawarma here. The garlic potatoes were a lot better.

Is not dine in as mentioned online. After arriving, we found no place to eat. The photos are not as the reality. Very disappointing. Think before chose them.

Absolutely phenomenal! I have been dining at Alibabas for years now and it only ever seems to get better! The food is incredible! The staff and owners are wonderful, and the prices are amazing too. I would (and often do) recommend it to anyone and everyone :) (especially if you like garlic, their garlic sauce is amazing!) Keep up the amazing work!

Truly the kindest owners, paired with the most delicious persian food in Kingston. Weve loved their food for so long, we even chose to serve it at our wedding! Needless to say it received endless compliments. A few of our favourites on the menu are the filet mignon beef plate, saffron chicken, mixed plate, falafel, chickpea masala... amazing assortment of baklava greats you when you walk in. Love this local gem, thank you for the years of delicious food! Dietary restrictions: Extremely flexible to suit dietary restrictions... vegan, vegeterian, gluten free will all find something for them. Owners are well versed in helping you find what you can eat.

Amazing food and exceptionally friendly service here. The staff were quick to offer personal recommendations that did not disappoint. Currently this restaurant offers take out only but Ill be sure to visit again once open for dine in.

Visited them while in Kingston and found their food extremely delicious, salad fresh and crunchy , caramel pudding was scrumptious and service and hospitality were excellent as well. It s a must try if you re in town!

The kebabs were soft and portions were good. The rice looked Indian and was oily, and the kebabs had too much turmeric in them while turmeric is not even a kebab ingredient in Persian cooking. The baba ghanouj basically tasted like hummus with just a hint of smoked eggplant and no pomegranate molasses. The service was good but slow. The tea tasted amazing! But it was more West-Asian style because of the sugar and the rosewater in it. Environment was okay. The womens washroom didnt have soap; just a tiny bit soap mixed with lots of water. Overall, I think the food here is mostly like Arabic-Indian-Persian fusion rather than just Persian or just Arab. And its good, but overrated.

Great delivery dinner. It was our first order so we tried the meal for four. It was all excellent, especially the saffron chicken.

Solid all around, fast service. A falafel wrap is just $5.99 which feels like a total steal if youre looking for a quick lunch or dinner option.

We tried chicken shawarma and beef and chicken platter. Food was ok, a bit dry, i was expecting tahini and hamus with it. Tried baklawa and it is ok as well. Dine in not ready yet so takeaway is only option.

We visited this place to hastily take a takeout after a day of exploring around Kingston. We were a family of 7 so we ordered 2 shawarma and chana masala (taste of india) it said. Also baklaava. The food was hot, fries were made fresh and tasty. Wasn t exceptional but he definitely served us well. Value for money and fresh pita breads are served separately. The shawarma comes with chicken and salad in a bowl and pita separately in a bag. Small enterprise on a main road but we visited around 9.30pm so there was no one else in waiting. We dined at our accommodation but I think I saw some seating space upstairs.

The food is excellent! We decided to cater our wedding from here since we love this type of food. We were talked through our options and got to create a menu we and our guests loved. The attention to detail and service was exceptional and the price is so reasonable. Thank you for everything and looking forward to eating there many times in the future whenever we are in Kingston!

Got there at 9.35. Place closes at 10. Was told we cant sit down and eat. Had no choice but had to get take out. Not too happy. Reached my hotel room which was a 5 minute drive. Soup was cold. Saffron chicken was a disgrace. No saffron flavor, just yellow food coloring. Was over cooked and dry. Rice was dry too, no flavor and no seasoning. I had to keep sipping watwr ao the rice didnt get stuck in my throat. My son got the Koobideh kebab, kebab was dry and over cooked. Same story with the rice. Why is it so difficult for you to cook a simple piece of chicken or a kebab on a skewer. It is not rocket science. I just cant understand the ratings for this hardly a Kebab place. Just totally disgusted and upset with my dinner

Absolutely amazing service!! The owner was so kind and hospitable. I would definitely come back for the Tabouleh salad and garlic dip. However, there are a few better Persian restaurants that I have personally tried. Nonetheless, the service is the reason this is rated high!

Cons: No shawarma spit, microwaved shawarma. I have travelled around the world and I would have to say this is the worst shawarma i have ever tried by far. Pros: Guy was kind.

Beautiful location. Fresh yummy food. Portion was good. We ate a lot also had leftovers to bring home. Highly recommend. I had to take away one star because they didn t have a single baby high chair. We had to hold our little one while eating food. Which could be a major inconvenience for family with little kids. We informed this to the person who was working then. He listened and promised to get high chairs in future. Other then that everything was PERFECT !

Wow. Delicious. Ordered takeout on a Saturday night (and it said they were busy on Google Maps) and still received my food promptly. The food was absolutely beautiful, delicious and fresh as can be. Got the falafel plate and it was presented so beautifully, not to mention they were the best I ve had in Kingston. The garlic potatoes were roasted and seasoned to perfection - I loved how the garlic sauce was tasty but not overly garlicky. The falafel plate combo with a couple of pitas could easily feed 2 people. I haven t found takeout that was this fresh, delicious, beautifully presented AND packed with value in ages. Highly recommend!

A little taste of home when I was traveling. The shawarma was one of the best Ive tried across Canada to be honest. And Ive been to countless shawarma places across the land, this by far, one of the best.

On two occasions over the past week Ive called well over an hour in advance and specified a time for picking up a takeout order they have had the order ready to go and it was delicious.

Don t bother. It s a waste of money. I ordered a beef shawarma wrap and the beef shawarma plate. The meat was DRY and tasted like wet paper. It did not taste like shawarma at all. The rice was also dry, as if it had gone stale and they just warmed it up and served it. The salad was a joke! I m so annoyed because the food sounds good on paper, but in real life don t even bother.

We have ordered small fatouch salad, deluxe sultani filett mignon plater and a small baba ganouch. Fatouch salad is $5.99 and let me tell you its a cup size, they forgot to add the crispy pita on it so basically its just an over dresses salad with molasses with some lettuce, and cucumber. We had to send back baba ganouch as it was tasting off. Huge False advertising for the fillet mignons the meat on the platter was stiff and cannot be filet mignon. Over all service is bad, portion of food is too small, low quality, dont recommend.

Awful service, took 45 minutes to before they bring the order to the table. The kabab was completely burnt. They did not bring the soup and the appetisers to the table. There were no cutlery on the table. We preferred to leave I would give them zero stars if I could.

Amazing shawarma

Dont order from this place on the delivery apps. Theyve been closed for about 3 or 4 weeks now, but they keep their delivery tablets online to take your order and take your money without actually fulfilling your order. Theres no reason for their delivery tablets to be online 3-4 weeks after theyve closed down unless they are trying to scam people. Why else would they keep them charged up and go online when they know their business is closed? To steal your money. Would not support these people even when they reopen. No integrity at all.

One of the worst food ever I ate, 3 Order of chicken over rice on 7th July. Good quality, Service and prices were worst.

I went there after seeing some of the good reviews. I ordered the saffron chicken which was decent. someone in one of the reviews suggested trying their chole so I got one of those as well, hoping to refresh my memory of some tasty chole dishes I had eaten in the past unlike the prepackaged ones Ive been eating off late. I was surprised that they tasted EXACTLY like the Gits Chana masala ready meals, which I feel pretty confident it was. That basically just cut up and heat a pack when ordered. I am disappointed and will not be visiting again.

Had a wonderful meal from Alibaba! The Tabouli salad & dips were incredible, as was the saffron chicken & rice. Service was friendly and quick! Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant! Bonus, try the baklava for dessert. A local family owned restaurant, you can t beat that! 5 stars!!

I was at an event that Ali Baba Kabab Catered and it was absolutely fantastic. The buffet was very accommodating to a variety of dietary needs. I would happily recommend and use this restaurant for any future catering needs.

First and last time to order from this restaurant. I hope I can give it less than 1 star, because I found a peace of plastic inside my sandwich. The taste of the sandwiches was really bad and the portion of meat Kabab and chicken is very little. I don t recommend this restaurant.

We always enjoy our food; it s good quality while offering a great value! Our regular order is - Shawarma Chicken Wrap, Shawarma Chicken Plate, and Garlic Potatoes with Garlic Dip. The potatoes with dip are unreal and we always get extra garlic dip because it s so good!!!

For my first official visit to Kingston, Ive got to say that this was a great welcome. I ordered the beef shawarma wrap with all the toppings and it didnt disappoint. The service was warm and friendly. They recommended trying the chicken as well, and brought me a small sample plate of it with pickles and a little garlic sauce. How did it go? Well, before leaving I ordered a second beef wrap and the chicken wrap to go. Thanks for a great meal and a reminder to drink more hibiscus tea!
