Kinton Ramen is always an excellent choice for a meal, whether that's solo, with friends, or on a date! Their menu has something for everyone with excellent extra options and typically some seasonal specials. This location is quite large with lots of seating and space.
Service and atmosphere were very nice and relaxing. We tried the limited special burnt shoyu ramen but found it rather bland. There was no strong flavour in the broth and the black garlic oil wasn’t very aromatic, making the soup uncomfortably oily. The miso ramen was very flavourful and our favourite. We tried various side dishes and found that the fries were very subpar (just tasted like frozen fries). Overall, not the best ramen spot but worth visiting in Kingston.
Food was BLAND despite looking not so bad - iykyk. I went in September when they had a promotion, anyways did not end up getting that since it was a marketing scheme and couldn’t even order a matcha ice cream on the side. The combo for two is basically the same price as ordering 2 ramens separately. So as I said , this place is a marketing scheme. Also poor workers, it was 1 server and 1 chef when the whole place is almost half filled, there were so many delivery/takeout orders so it was hard to even get water refilled. Will not be supporting Kinton ramen in any location
One of my favorite ramen chain in Canada. Spicy garlic variant is always my go-to, and the food taste almost always the same across different branches. Staff are very kind and welcoming!
I haven’t had the chance to try all the ramen places around Kingston but unfortunately, this was the worst I have tried so far, I could not even finish it. The most disappointed thing and what brought me to eat there in the first place, their Matcha Cheesecake, it was decent but the size is incredibly smaller for the price.
Great service! Nice they have an outdoor patio. Tokyo fries underwhelming. Seasoned egg pretty yummy. Pork not bad, better when I shoved it into the hot broth to warm up. Decent broth. Got the summer combo with fries and drink. Good to see they have gender neutral bathrooms
Last visited on the evening of September 22, 2023 to get late night food with friends. The vibes and service were nice but the food is pretty mid in my honest opinion. Don’t get me wrong, the ramen does taste good but I’ve had better quality ramen before so this just doesn’t meet my standards. Still a great place to go for a late night munch with friends!
Really good ramen. Best in kingston by far. When compared to other places in province i give it a 8/10. What kingston lacks in variety atleast it makes up in quality. Went with group and tried multiple dishes. The original is kinda bland but the shoryu, miso and garlic spice ones were delicious and flavourful. I got the beef miso flavour. My biggest complaint isnt taste it service. Its a noodle shop and we went when was less people and took 20 min+. This isnt first time, went with group 2 still took 20 min+. Many other noodle joints its fast less then 5 min. So go in expect like other sit down places like montana. Dont expect a quick bite. So not a good option for quick bite before an event or if time is tight. This is also june. I can only imagine when all queens students come back its going to be more slow. The ramen prices arent bad for quality but buy anything else and you turned a 16-18 dollar meal into 30. The side dishes are expensive. There are meal deals like 2 can dine and 4 can dine where you can get pop and side for 20 each. I would get that. Pop by itself is like 3 bucks and a side 7 to 8. So getting the meal you only add 2-3 bucks instead of 10- 11 if you didnt bring a friend. Atleast the washrooms are super clean also the music is soothing kinda spent too much time in there as was relaxing. I also took a bite before making pic so not asthetic but the smell was too good to wait. Also was enjoying the atmosphere and forgot take pics around. Really only service and extras prices are my complaints about the place. Otherwise would come back for the ramen.

My partner and I went for our 4 year anniversary at Kinton Ramen. We are both huge foodies and this place was exactly what we were looking for. We had never been before, and usually only eat restaurant style ramen in Ottawa or Toronto. However this place keeps up so well! The food was excellent (Pork Gyoza, takoyaki, chicken shoyu ramen, and spicy garlic pork!) Will definitely be back! Special thanks to our server Jibin, who gave us the most wonderful service!

It was empty for Monday lunch. The service was nice and respectful. The ramen is better than the Markham location, but still is just OK Ramen. Apparently the downtown Toronto location is the one to try, though that was a few years back, or so Ive been told.
It was raining outside and the spicy pork ramen was just the perfect meal to accompany it. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were a bit undercooked but it got cooked in the broth later. Felt it was missing the usual toppings but it was simple and nice. Bit pricey for a bowl of ramen tho. Might come again.
Been to kin-ton ramen Guelph Montreal and this one has worst staff, they don t even know how to treat customers. Got sticky noodles and was expected to get a new one but server told us it will gonna cost us more money you we left restaurant with hungry stomach.
Worst experience. They served us undercooked noodles which was sticky asked them for new and they replied it costs us extra so we cant do it.left hungry with bad service.

normally im a fan of kinton but this location isnt it waited 20 minutes to order and when I got my ramen the noodles were very undercooked, the egg was cold, and the soup itself had a very strong peppery flavour that Ive never encountered at any other locations.
Worst Kinton experience ever. Understaffed restaurant; I waited couple minutes for a table. However, there r so many of empty tables left with dirty dishes and, no servers r able to clean up until customer is seated. Bowls and cups looked dirty. Noodles were not rinsed with water after cooked, prior putting into the broth, I still can taste the floury flavour on the noodle. Broth was heavy with pepper, but lack of layer of flavours.
Had been to other Kinton locations but this is the worst location ever. We ordered 2 original pork bone soup ramen, and a special but the ramen still has the taste the flour-water on the noodle. I can tell the noodles were not rinsed under hot cooked water prior serving. I have never had a pork bone soup in such a flavour; no bone flavor whatsoever, but disguised with loads of grounded pepper and cream instead. The depth of flavors was missing, all left was just saltiness and the spiciness from the pepper. The special comes with tokyo fries, and it tastes great. The drink we ordered with was pomegranate with lemonade but it tastes more like cough syrup.. Definitely not recommend this location if you are looking for authentic ramen.

Really good ramen, excellent broth
Food was alright but service definitely could ve been better. Server looked miserable and she pretended not to hear me and walked way when I tried asking for the bill. Mind you, she was half a foot away from me and I wasn t particularly quiet. Train your staff better because its servers like these that make it SO easy to click the no tip option

Lmao they had this ongoing promotion on doordash where you order 25$+ for four times you get 10$ off the next order then if you use the 10$ off they cancel your order so you just lost the 10$ voucher off and have to order again with no discount. Booooo scam

I went here recently for the first time and it was great food. The portion size was quite large. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I had the beef miso as recommended by the server and it was excellent. I appreciated that the server knew the menu thoroughly and could help make recommendations based on personal preferences. The server explained that the miso has excellent flavor, and would be served best with thick noodles. I am happy with the menu items I tried and look forward to my next visit! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian menu options.

Ordered delivery for a late dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I opted for the original pork and my partner ordered the pork shoyu and both broths were super tasty (the shoyu especially). We were also both pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes- a perfect ratio of toppings to noodles to broth and ideal quantities of each to provide a delicious and filling meal.

I had the pork shoyu ramen with a seasoned egg add-on and the best parts were the braised pork, the egg, and the wood ear. The soup tasted like it came from powder, very similar to the Nongshim Tonkotsu bowl ramen soup base flavour, and there were traces of yellow powder along the side of the bowl so I would not be surprised if that was the primary flavouring for the entire soup. I could easily taste the delicious MSG. The soup spoon was very cute and useful. Noodles were al dente, which is my favourite kind of noodle texture for ramen, however my friend did not enjoy that as they like soggy soft noodles.
I love Kinton Ramen as my first time here was memorable. Unlike many other places, refill is paid. I feel the standard nowadays in Canada is free refill, though, hence the 4 stars.

I tried here when they first came to Kingston and was disappointed, I was expecting the same experience as the Toronto locations but they didn t deliver. I went back today and must say they have upped their game. It must have just been growing pains because my pork miso was delicious and the server was great. Will be back :)

I am vegetarian and I always look for ramen noodles or soup without chicken broth and this place is amazing for vegetarian ramen noodles so we tried veg spicy garlic and Veg miso most of the ingredients are the same but the veg spicy garlic as the name suggests is spicy and garlicky and Gyoza veg dumpling I loved my whole meal and they have best customer service and great ambience. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Veg Gyozo and Veg Ramen
Food poisoning! We think it was the octopus balls. Very expensive & overpriced for noodles. Ordered a meal for two and there was $6 in extra charges just for spicy. Lunch for 2 adults and one child was $91. No drinks or dessert. Did I mention the food poisoning?

Atmosphere is great with good lighting, nice views, and a lovely, but not invasive, background soundtrack. Good service was lightning quick despite a fairly large crowd and the beer was ice cold. Washrooms resemble that of much higher price point establishments. A premium experience followed by a bargain price. Awesome!
The miso broth was yummy! I wish it included a ramen egg or other toppings for the price but the soup was good for Kingston

The food is delicious and the service is extremely fast even when the restaurant is busy. The servers are polite and accurate with orders, when I asked for exactly one ice cube in my drink I did in fact receive only one ice cube :D

Speedy food. Friendly service. Vegan options! I personally highly recommend the miso ramen and the veg gyoza (it uses vegan mayo so is also vegan)! Overall, very pleased with my meal and experience. Kaho and Katrina were very friendly and I particularly love that they checked for my dietary restriction!
Was so excited to eat here and was really disappointed. Broth tasted like nothing and the other broth tasted like muddy water. Really disappointed to spend the money on this. Absolutely turned my stomach and will not eat here again.

Loved that Kinton had four vegan ramen options to choose from. I tried the veg miso, while my partner got the veg spicy garlic. Both were phenomenal and had a lot of flavor. Loved the addition of all the toppings, but do wish there was more bean curd included (you can add another piece for an up charge of $2.90). Honestly very reasonably priced and big portions too. Vegetarian options: Vegan/vegetarian ramen options include veg original, veg shoyu, veg miso, and veg spicy garlic.

The broth is disgusting. The only flavour I taste is pepper. It does not compare to the Toronto locations at all. The good reviews are all from people who s having Kinton for the first time and don t know what it s supposed to taste like. This was very disappointing.

Went there as a last minute dinner because we were craving ramen. Portions were a little small especially when the egg + other toppings normally found is not included in the meal. However the service was amazing and the atmosphere was great s well.
I ordered 2 Gekkikara. I specifically asked for chicken instead of pork. I got pork. That was in Drc 2023 Went again tonight. Feb 2024. I again specifically asked for chicken. Server said it could be done. I got pork. I WILL NEVER come back again!! I will also tell my friends that these people DONT listen to their customers. I read the previous reviews but hoped things would change. NOPE. Youre going to lose your business because of not listening to your customers and not giving them what they asked for. If you couldnt replace the pork with chicken, you just had to say so.
