Horrible experience at this restaurant. When my partner and I walked in, we were loudly greeted by a server who yelled from behind the counter asking if we had a reservation. The servers manner was very abrupt, and it seemed odd because the restaurant did not appear particularly busy. When we confessed we did not have a reservation, the server said it was too busy to get us a table, and they were booked solid. I was surprised by the servers coarse manner, not to mention we had eaten at this establishment before, been great customers, and always tipped well. Needless to say, we went elsewhere on this particular evening. After we were seated at another restaurant, one in which the staff provided great customer service, I decided to call Greektown and ask if they were busy. To my shock, the person who answered the phone told me that it was not particularly busy, and asked when we might be coming in. I recounted my tale about the rude greeting we had received just 20 minutes earlier, and I asked how could the restaurant be not too busy when we were just told minutes before it was booked. Anyway, I did not bother to wait for a response. So, if you want to be treated poorly, and dont care about customer service, by all means go to Greektown, but if you want great Greek cuisine, and solid service go to Grecos, The Greek Island Restaurant, Minos take-out... anywhere but Greektown.

Salad was delicious, main course I had was greek town pasta fell way short. Hamburger helper has more taste. Qifes chicken was good, but the rice sucked. Go to grekos

What a great find! We stopped by from out of town...my girl had the souvlaki plate and I had the chicken oregitan . Both chicken was incredibly juicy and full of flavour...as were the sides...delicious potatoes and good portions of tasty salad and rice. They also have a large selection of delicious desserts. Our server was absolutely wonderful! This is definitely a local family business everyone should support!

I made a reservation for six people at 5:30 on a Monday night and brought the grandparents with us to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday. The food was okay but not great (under cooked, over priced kalamari and kids found the chicken souvlaki too spicy; I found it grizzly) with a drink for the kids costing $3.50. No kids menu to speak of. I felt like we were being rushed and the waitress wanted to take our plates before we finished our appetizer/salad. She then rather curtly, told us that we needed to make room in the middle of the table for our main courses while still eating out appetizers. I watched an older gentleman receive a free piece of cake on his way out, yet my daughter was not even offered a chocolate ball for $1.75 despite a hefty bill of almost $300 for 6 (4 adults + 2 children) of us including the tip and them knowing it was her special day. They could have cared less that it was her birthday which was very disappointing. I certainly wasnt expecting staff to do a silly song and dance, but absolutely no recognition of her special day?? We wont be dropping that kind of money here again. Parking: There is ample, free parking. Kid-friendliness: I would not consider this a kid friendly establishment. There is no menu for children and a drink for a child is $3.50. They dont appear to be overly interested in hosting a family celebration for a childs birthday. Wheelchair accessibility: It appeared to be wheelchair accessible, though I can not speak to the washroom facilities.

Excellent service. Excellent food. The staff go out of their way to make sure youre taken care of and make very good suggestions. They suggested to us, to substitute their reg potatoes for their Greek potatoes and I am so happy they made this suggestion as they are the absolute Best!! I highly suggest you always substitute your potatoes for these ones! Love it here!

A very small chicken breast, some bland, soft slices of potato and like 5 pounds of undercooked rice. The salad was good, but its a salad, its hard to mess up. This was my New Years dinner. It was 26 dollars. What a disappointment. We got it to go, so I cant talk on the service or atmosphere, but the food sucked. They werent even busy, we ordered it to be ready at 5pm.

Honestly one of the best meals Ive had in quite a while! Butterflied Garlic Shrimp, Lamb, Greek Salad, Rice and Potatoes....all so delicious! First time having dinner here, will definitely come again, and thanks for the great service Yvette!

I called Greek Town to order 2 Combo 7 s to feed 9 Family for a belated Christmas Dinner. Angelo offered to cut up all the meats, change sliced potatoes to garlic roasted and package all in buffet style serving containers. The food was hot, ready and prepared upon my arrival for pickup. Everyone loved every dish that was provided! Taste, variety and presentation were all exceptional! Thank you to Angelo and Staff for providing us with a great family dining experience!!! Food was.great however I was a bit surprised by the potatoes that came with the combo meal. I thought it would be the wedge style ones that are boiled and baked in over with lemon and garlic.

Best Greek food in the city.

The employees are very rude and disrespectful. I called in an order and the employee was very rude and short. I went into pick up my order and I was treated as a number not a customer. The employees that work there believe they are entitled and we owe them something. The food is mediocre. It s nothing special, Jimmy the Greek in the mall gives you better quality for cheaper price. If the customer service improves then this place would be a 5/5.

Family atmosphere. Good food made fresh fresh fresh. I know it doesnt really deserve 5 stars compared to the best Greek restaurant from Toronto or Montreal, but its Kingston 5* LOL. We keep coming back for the Moussaka. Chicken souvlaki is also my go-to, its moist and juicy Take-out option. Way above local competition!!! Parking: Lots of space. Never had a problem except one Saturday night Kid-friendliness: No real kid option, but my kid eats more than others. Large choice of dessert.

Just had the mothers day special for two. It was disgusting! The steak was very tough to chew. I couldnt eat most of it. The flavor was lacking. The shrimp was mushy. My wifes meal was the same. Where was the peppercorn sauce? A very disappointing meal to say the least.

The food was excellent; the steak and sauce were tasty. I am giving one star as we were told our meal would be ready in 30 mins, the wait time was 2 hours. Throughout that period, there was no communication between staff and customers. The front lobby waiting area was chaos. We had other plans, and we could not participate in them. As a customer who stayed, I would have felt my time was appreciated if a small discount had been applied.

Its quaint, and quite atmosphere is a pleasure to dine in. I like being able to hear the person talking to me. The food is tasty and service is great, whether your dining or getting takeout.

Not at all what I had expected. Been an avid Greek food lover and Jesica served us like it was just a job. No smile from her once. Like a robot. Got served a warm beer and when I told her about it, I had to tell her what to do. Brought me a slim glass filled with ice that kept the bottom of my beer not even cold. Parking: Not much to say

Great Authentic taste. Highly positive atmosphere and good prices my family and I really enjoy the night out at Greektown. Vegetarian options: No sacrifice, the vegetarian options are fantastic. Dietary restrictions: They catered to my daughters lactose intolerance and my girlfriends vegetarian. Parking: Lots of spots, not to cramped. Kid-friendliness: They have always been great for kids, my kids are older now but they have always had a great time.

We were visiting Kingston today and found this gem of a restaurant. The food was fresh and authentic, so delicious. We didn t have room for dessert, so we came back to get some absolutely delicious cheesecake. The ladies who served us were so lovely. This place is a real gem for the food and staff. Hope to visit again soon! Thanks to the 2 lovely ladies who made our trip to the restaurant extra special!

The pita was soggy and the tzatziki had no flavour. The red onion completely over powered everything. The potatoes were flavourless. And the baklava was not worth the money.

Amazing place! Feels like home for people who are out of town. Try the chicken soup when your not well. Tzatziki is exceptional.

Probably the best greek restaurant Ive found since moving from toronto. Highly recommend the souvlaki pita sandwiches. Cant wait to return.

Good place for a group visit. They were able to accommodate us, 14 people, with a reservation during the Christmas season within 2 weeks. We thought we werent going to be able to get a reservation but they came through for us. It was a nice small intimate dining area and when you walk in the door it was like a deli that you would see on the food Network. They do take out and dine in. The deli you can buy their signature, salad, dressings, desserts and some of their sliced meats. The food was good and very filling. Regular plates came with salad, rice and potatoes. I got the Combo Plate that came with beef and chicken souvlaki, garlic shrimp and I chose the Greek salad. It was very filling and their tzatziki sauce was delicious. The prices were what you would expect. For my wife and I, we paid around $70 with drinks and tip. And it was well worth it. Our waitress was very attentive and kept the coffee flowing. I will visit again or order takeout soon.

We ordered hot appetizers that were cold in the middle. Rice was half cooked and crunchy. There were 6 of us and we all left very dissatisfied with the meals. Our waitress was friendly but thats not enough to make me want to go back.

My girlfriend had a pork souvlaki in PETA I had chicken souvlaki in Peta and we both agree , it was the best souvlaki that we ever had. Aside from that the Greek salads delicious as well as their whole chickens nicely barbecued. Friendly atmosphere and highly recommended.

Just shared Valentines day with my husband of 54 years! Angelo and his staff are the best in town! Delicious meals served with a smile and Angelo always comes to the table for a visit no matter how busy he is! Thank you Angelo and Kim for another memories for us old folks! Service was excellent husband s lasagna was good. Feel not necessary to bring bread in basket to table if your meal comes with bread. I ordered seafood pasta noodles overcooked & too much sauce I should have ordered Greek food better luck next time.

I got take out, and the portion sizes were the smallest I have ever had from a Greek restaurant. It was not worth the additional $10.99 to add rice and potatoes to my pita. I wont be returning to this restaurant.

Service was excellent. We had battered shrimp..too well done. Desserts very very expensive. 15.oo for two balaclava. Wheelchair accessibility: We are wheel chair needy. No ramp. Or lowered sidewalk. Customers lifted us in. Management carried us out.

We used GreekTown at work for our AGM. Amazing food, excellent service - our Board would like to order again from them. I worry about dinner delivery for meetings - will the meals get there on time, will people enjoy the food, will the restaurant follow my instructions (individually packaged dinners with names, utensils etc.) and this was done to perfection. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I were visiting Kingston this weekend and felt like eating some healthy Greek food. Although Greektown was about 2 km from where we were staying we liked the look of the restaurant from online photos and walked over. We each ordered the Moussaka and Greek salad and both were very delicious. Of course we could not leave without trying the authentic Baklava. It was cinnamony with a hint of citrus. The best Ive ever eaten and a perfect accompaniment to our coffee. Special thanks to our friendly server Bonnie for looking after us.

Prices are more expensive than other Greek restaurants in town. Also, the food flavours were not the best.

Pleasant service, good portion size and the ordered items tasted good (veg pita & chicken slovakia). This seems like a place suitable to meat eaters though. Vegetarian options: This isnt a good place for vegetarians. There were only two options on the menu and it was essentially veg on a stick (kebab) combo or veg in a pita. There wasnt a replacement with a meat-free alternative eg falafels, beyond meat or veggie-ground.

We chose to make Thanksgiving dinner easier on us this year and ordered our meal for pick up. Unfortunately, it was the worst Thanksgiving dinner anyone of us has every had. The turkey was very dry. The gravy completely flavourless. The vegetables were near mush. The roasted taters were good as were the buns. All else was poorly done, especially for the price. With tax it was just under $300.00 We have decided - no short cuts next Thanksgiving. We would just as soon deal with the messy kitchen and enjoy our dinner than be disappointed like this again.

Good, simple Greek food. Plenty of combos for the family or groups offer variety and good value. Single meal options are a bit pricey and I dont recommend the calamari, and hope they adopt a new breading.

My moussaka I was delicious, and it came with an enormous Greek salad! I was a bit disappointed by the potatoes. I thought they would be typical Greek potatoes but they were not seasoned or cooked the way I was expecting. They were the only things that I didnt finish, but I was full and happy anyway.

Excellent Greek food, with generous portions. I ordered the Combo #3 Party Pack for takeout. The on-line menu says that it feeds 2-6 people. Feeding 6 people, youd probably still have leftovers. The Combo #3 includes small rice and small Greek potatoes. Dont be fooled by the word small. The takeout containers were heaping full of rice and potatoes.

Have been going to this restaurant for years mostly for takeout. Definitely worth a try.

Not a good review comming. The bread was stale and hard, the potatoes were good for first 2,3 slices and the last 2 slices. The middle parts were flavorless. The ribs were amazing and salad we had caesar might have been good if we liked vinaigrette dressing. The rotisserie chicken was ok as well as the pork and chicken skewers, nothing to boast about.

Wonderful meal at this location. Drove from Montreal and decided to eat here. Food was delicious. Souvlakia were tender and well seasoned. Gyro was melt in your mouth and the greek potatoes were full of flavor. Vageli and his team are delights.

Greek Town is THE best! Do yourself a favour and go there for lunch and/or dinner. If it s your thing, order some red wine and enjoy what you re about to taste. They never disappoint and are always consistent and super friendly. Must try on the menu: the warm pita and tzatziki (best tzatziki EVER), the chicken souvlaki, butterfly shrimp, Greek salad (the dressing is amazing), they also do a great Caesar salad... I ve also heard the wrap is amazing, though I have never tried it myself but I m sure it s delicious. A true gem of a restaurant in Kingston. Worth the drive if you are coming from downtown or anywhere really and looking for a good Greek food experience. Good luck trying to leave without ordering something to take home from one of their amazing showcase display fridges.. you will not regret taking home a whole sale Greek salad dressing or tzatziki (or anything!). One of Kingstons best!! A versatile restaurant run by good good people who will meet all of your needs and expectations. We ve had them supply us with delicious food for 20+ people and also had Greek Town several Friday nights in just the two of us. Every time we are so happy we ordered from Greek Town Kingston!

I wish I had shares in this place, every meal Is fantastic. I used to always get the chicken cotoletta but have recently been trying new items. Even on take out the calamari melted in my mouth and for some reason I never thought to try the individual (feeds two) size lasagna but it is easily the best I ve ever had. My favourite go to place for take out and with the restaurant now open again (closed from covid) dine in with some wine is even better.

I cannot eat bread because of my condition. I explained to the female person listening to my order of my issue. I asked if they would substitute the bread for some more rice or potatoes. The female answering my call responded: We do not substitute anything for anyone . I explained my medical issue again. She repeated her statement. I do not want to throw food away. I just decided to not order from them.

My family and I have been loyal customers since Greektown opened. Tonight I had my usual chicken slouvaki pita and oh my goodness it was delicious! The chicken was moist, the bread was soft. The over all flavor was so on point tonight. Thank you!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Kingston! Never had a meal I didnt enjoy here. Absolutely amazing dessert selection, its so hard to choose! Their greek salad dressing is delicious! The staff are friendly and always a pleasure to see when we dine in or take-out.

Not only was the food great- but the customer service was even better. I had a lot of issues with my order on skip the dishes and the lovely lady working helped me sort it out and get a refund (I had managed to order the same thing twice and skip the dishes was refusing to help). I couldn t stop licking the box after we shared the baklava, galaktoboureko and carrot cake. This was after we ate the most tender beef kebab ever. The feta cheese and Greek salad dressing we so savoury. Thanks for a delicious meal.

Friday night I called to order the Prime Rib dinner for two to be picked up after work on Saturday. They were very courteous and helpful on the phone. When I arrived to pick up my order on Saturday it was all ready. The staff all greeted me with smiles are are so friendly. They sure make you feel welcome. I just have to say the food was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The quality and quantity was the best. I have never been disappointed with Greek Town Kingston. I would recommend anyone to order their delicious food.

We are in Kingston as a family member is in hospital. Google has GreekTown listed as dine-in closed. To our surprise when I went to order take out we discovered that their dining room is definitely open for business. I have to wonder how much business they are missing out on due to this error. We went somewhere else the other night because of Google Maps info. Anyways, we tried their take-out last night with a few items and it was awesome! We now plan to dine in this week, which will be even better I m sure. Their baklava was outstanding and perfection!
