Karaoke is always great here. Atmosphere is great, drinks are good. I had cauliflower wings here once and they tasted incredibly bland and I couldnt finish them. Apart from the food I love this place!

When you enter the indoor seating/dining area, there is a weird smell that s very off putting. Food- there is nothing much to talk about. The Penang curry was not a Penang curry. It was some random gravy with kidney beans and tofu. So strange! The fries looked sick and soggy. The Caesar salad wrap was ok. So was the quesadilla. Avoid if you can.

Parking: Parking is pretty limited during the day. I suggest grabbing a cab or rideshare if you live in the city. If you live outside of town you may need to walk a bit once youve parked Food

This used to be a great place. Cracked beer glasses, poor beer quality clean the damn lines, food was sub par and everything was coated in oil. Not to mention the server who was so inept at doing anything, that we had to wait forever for drinks, and food, and refills on drinks, was not worth the 150$ we gave to this once wonderful establishment.

The food came out in dribs and drabs over the course of 30 - 40 minutes. Long after ordering chicken and mashed potatoes - like after some of the table was done - one of us was told there were no potatoes, did she want fries. My salad tasted like it had been made with stale deep fryer oil. My friends say this place is usually just fine. No idea what happened this night. Sure wasnt busy. Well try again and hope for the best.

Probably the worst dinning experience ever. We went to the restaurant for dinner because we had tickets for a show upstairs. (Absolutely unmaintained as well). Our server went above and beyond for us. She was very apologetic for things she had no control over. We had reservations for 6:30pm. We ordered fairly quickly. Food arrived at 7:30. My husband only ordered soup. It was cold. Will not be returning.

Went to the emo night event and it was amazing. 10/10 place for an event to be held, drinks be tasty. Will come again

My three girlfriends and I were at the Mansion for a Christmas get together early December. It was my first time there, but definitely not my last !!! We honestly loved it ! The food was delicious (I had the Mansion Mac nCheese), and the atmosphere was great. The bartender working that night (I think his name was Omar), was so super friendly and talked to us every time we needed a drink. He had us laughing, and made us feel really welcomed that night. We ended up cancelling the rest of our plans that night and just stayed for a couple of hours longer since we were enjoying ourselves. If you havent been to this place, you definitely have to go!!

Went to see the most recent A Short Walk To Pluto show. Arrived early, so we had a beer in the rec room. Took close to 10mins for someone to take our order at the bar. Multiple people walked by us, probably servers, so i understand that part, but why were the bartenders not there? And they kept leaving. Very bizarre for how busy it was.

Possibly the worst managed restaurant in Kingston, when it used to be the best 6 months ago. I m not sure who s the manager but you have run this place into the ground. Such a shame because of how great a place this was. Also food sucks and service sucks. Good job ruining a bar.

A year ago, I would have given 5 stars. Ever since they have replaced all of their dedicated and lovely staff roughly a year ago, the service, food, and atmosphere has deteriorated drastically. You used to be able to be known by name and they would know your order by memory and have great conversations with the staff. Now, the current manager, Omar, has run the place into the ground. Handling security situations very unprofessionally and incorrectly, extremely poor service with over hour waits and unfriendly staff. If you are looking for a warm and friendly bar environment, this isnt the place.

Multi level establishment. Wine focus down stairs, main level seems chill bar and food, upper is event spaces. Nice staff, good drinks, good prices. Will be back Im sure. Parking: Not much of their own parking I could see. Just street mainly. Walking is healthy! However, I could see it to deter some.

Drinks are just drinks, prices are okay. Don t order the food, absolutely inedible. Burgers were burnt, tacos were worse than something you could make at home. Fries are edible though.

Had a great time at the Mansion tonight! Was there for a ticketed event. There were two waitresses for about 100 attendees and only a couple of bartenders but we never had to wait more than a few minutes. Same service with the food, which was delicious! Owner/manager of the bar was so fun and hospitable. Not from the area but would not hesitate to come to another event here again!

Saw the Backsteps last week and it was great atmosphere and good service.

Underwhelming would be my word of choice for my visit - went for wings & fries (its a pub!) & they only had boneless bites that seemingly sat too long, were overcooked & barely had any sauce (we did ask for extra sauce which they brought) not to mention I ended up with the wrong sauce (ate it anyways but nonetheless). I know this place to have good food in past, may have just been an off night. Friendly staff & comfortable atmosphere - the food was just lacking that night. Parking is also limited (or non-existent) but their main clientele are students who either bus or walk (and just based on location, limited parking is a known thing) so it makes sense.

I will say the service was not good, I visited it today and it was pathetic! They made the restaurant too overcrowded but they forgot to serve food to people, i guess like we waited for an hour for them to juss serve the food! No one asked us that if we want beer again! Customer service - zero stars n i belived they were a bit racist too!

I enjoyed coming here for the TML game night. having lots of tvs to watch the game made it easy to see, etc. I would, however, suggest the tvs being connected via ethernet rather than wifi as connection issues occurred. The biggest downfall of the night was the delay getting food. We ordered Mac n Cheese and Fries, and it took over an hour to come out. Our waitress advised us that they only had three people in the kitchen on an extremely busy night due to the game. The waitress were trying to be as attentive as possible but found they had issues as well. Our waitress happened to be working this chaos on her first day, and I felt bad that she was thrown to the sharks. I think the management needs to address staffing issues, and for how small the place is, they could utilize the patio torches to keep people warm. Utilizing the patio could have fixed the crowding issues inside. Last point, to pay was quite awkward. everyone in the restaurant had to line up at the entrance and organize their bill and pay. This system is super inefficient. I have never seen this done in a restaurant as they normally bring you a receipt and you pay at the table. This restaurant, in the end, has the greatest potential. Its in a great location downtown, and the food is good. I feel they were ill-prepared for a busy night like this. I hope they take the review and improve because I would look past this and come again, but if this is a norm, I probably wouldnt return. Parking: Parking for the mansion isnt plentiful and is not clearly marked

I went there alone to get a quick bite after a long buisness trip. When I went in, I waited at the door to find out where I could sit. It wasnt that busy. I eventually asked the bartender if I could sit anywhere. I sat there a while the staff at the bar were doing stocking or cleaning or whatever they were doing and no wait staff to be seen for about 10 min. Dont get me wrong, I dont mind waiting if the staff are clearly busy with customers or Im with other people, but when Im looking at staff chatting or ignoring me that gets under my skin a little. Finally the bartender came over and handed me a menu to order. Food was prompt after that and quite tasty. They had local beers on tap and I chose the bartenders recommendation. I would go back if I was in the area

My gf and I went on a date, we brought a deck of cards and Skip-bo. Got some nachos and drinks and played games for a few hours. Our server was extremely kind, and the food tasted good! Service wasnt exceptional as we would almost have to give reminders, although she seemed very busy which makes it understandable. We had a great time, one of our funnest dates and our server was very excited with us. Highly recommend!

I ve always really liked the mansion for good atmosphere and good food. Yesterday, there was only one server for the patio on a Saturday. She was very sweet but seemed frazzled and said it was only her second day- she should have had more support. Additionally, my partners burger bun had mold on it. We had to send it back after already waiting 45 min for food. After waiting again for them to remake burger, we found they still charged us for it. Very disappointing.

Last two times I ve been to the mansion have been a really annoying experience. The wait staff have all been rude for people simply changing seats at one table.

Ate here today and unfortunately had a terrible experience all around. The waters we were given were not only in super dirty cups but the water had a terrible after taste (like sour iron). My friend and I both ordered a chicken ceaser salad and were unable to eat it after 2 small bites. The chicken was extremely dry. It looked and tasted like cardboard. However the worst part was the parmesan cheese and ceaser dressing. It left a taste in our mouth that made us both gag. It tasted like vomit and was sour. Cue to tonight and we are both extremely sick. Will not ever return here.

I had my birthday here last night and I had the absolute best time ever!! Our bartender Nicole went ABOVE and BEYOND for everything!!! From being such a vibe and being so so sweet and giving really good life advice, best drink recommendations and taking THE BEST photos of me and my friends - she made the night special! She kept me smiling and enjoying myself the whole night and took initiative to take photos and remind me to cut the cake because I was enjoying myself so much that I forgot! I don t think we would have enjoyed the night as much without her!! If I do another party I would 100% come back here and specifically ask for her!!

I went to the conversations show the other night and the bartender Nicole was on point. The vibe she had going with the band was very clear and I noticed she was wearing their merch? I thought that was awesome .. Id come back just to see her! So much fun!

I recently was part of an event at The Mansion for a private event hosted by my roller derby team. We had rented out the basement, and had our own designated server/bartender Nicole. It was the best event weve had in my years playing! Our server was the perfect choice for us as she was attentive, friendly, efficient, and just the best addition to our already odd team! The arrangements were easy to make, the venue was exactly what we had hoped for, and the food and drinks were the standard fare the Mansion provides so well all the time. I wouldnt change a thing, and well be requesting both the venue, and our server specifically, again for future events!

The place was nice and quiet, the food was not too bad, the service was excellent. Definitely need more lighting or candles on the table

Went here for dinner with a few friends recently and my only complaint was the fries I got with my burger. They were quite soggy but I was too hungry to care and they tasted fine. The burger was really good albeit a little over priced but all in all its a nice place to go have dinner with a group of friends. Not too loud, the lighting is dark (which I like but you might not) and the vibe is pretty chill if Im being honest. Service was a 10/10 no complaints whatsoever there. Honestly I would go there again every now and then. Parking: Prolly enough spots for about 5 cars on site but there is plenty of street parking.

Went at 11 PM. Told to sit wherever we want, waited 15 minutes for the menu, being ignored for another 15 min and eventually leave without getting anything because nobody would come and take our order. Maybe next time I should bring a flashlight and megaphone to call for waitresses attention.

Going as a DD driver. They refilled my pop before it was even empty. My food was so good, I had a basket of fries, then later had there classic burger with cheese and bacon. The burger was a medium. Just that perfect pink in the middle, with a side fry. ( yes im fat and had more fries with my burger and fries )

We had fun, food was decent, and they have a nice patio. One star because our server was unprofessional. We ordered many things including 2 nachos. However, they served us 3 and we said that s fine, but they insisted to charge us for 4. We tried to dispute it, but he refused to adjust the receipts.

I went there last night for our graduation party and the waiter working there ruined my night because of just a small dish of nachos. They served 3 nachos but charged us for 4. Even though we all told him he was making a mistake, he treated us like we were lying. By the way, he didn t leave the receipt as proof. Very unprofessional!

A Kingston staple. A dive bar with more venues inside than one can count. But its decc, and when something been around for as long as it has. Its bound to be a little run down. Drinks and good times.

Service is pretty bad. Waited 40 minutes to get the bill. The food was not very good too. My fries were soggy and my fish tasted a little bit sweet.

Ive coming here weekly (or more) for 6+ years, COVID notwithstanding. Good spot to avoid Queens undergrads for the most part, aside from Wednesday when the place is packed up for their famous karaoke. Beer is standard price, except their special schooner of Moosehead which is good value. Staff has always been friendly and excellent. They recently changed management, which has seen the place concentrate more on cocktails. Both the menu options and quality of food has also taken a significant dip. Great place for beers and to catch up with one person or in a group, but Id say away from the food here.

Outside of the kinda friendly staff, this place is absolutely repugnant. The food is bland, tasteless sludge served without any personality or flare. The mixed drinks stank and were nothing special or interesting. I was somewhat excited to try this place but its no good at all. Theres far better places to get this kind of food on Princess St.

Ridiculous portions. You just dont find that anymore! We got there for dinner and sat outside. Had a great band playing for us. Great waitress too. First time visitor to Kingston and they made it worth while. Go check em out

Great atmosphere!

Would not recommend. Waited 20 minutes to find out they were out of the beer I ordered. Another in our party ordered coffee and after an hour and three requests, still no spoon to stir it. Best was the underwhelming food that took over an hour to finally appear.

Fish and chips were not good. The beer batter to fish ratio was about 4 to 1. As a result the batter tasted undercooked and full of grease. The fries were pretty good but pretty small portion. Unfortunately wont be going back because ill be stuck in the washroom for the foreseeable future.
