Noodles with a tonne of sweet soy sauce is not pad thai. I wasn t expecting Markham grade Asian food in Kingston, but even a Manchu Wok would have been better. Save your $. Eat Mc Ds instead.

It is so good like it s 10 out of 10 I love it, the girl with the mask is a fantastic cook and very hospitable! Aeron and Rasheed are amazing!! Love it, highly recommend

The pad thai is not good here. In addition to bland noodles, i asked for peanuts and lime and they didnt give me any. Ive had thai express at other locations which are good but this one is the worst one ive encountered. I will avoid this one from now on.

Ordered 2 general Thai pineapple dishes. Very small portion sizes for the price. $40 for 2 meals and the bowls were barely half full. Have ordered in the past and this usually isnt a problem. Food was also quite bland this time. This will probably be the last time Ill order here

The service has really declined. I always get General Thai Pineapple with extra shrimp and I used to get a bigger bowl for those extra 6 dollars Im paying. Now I get the same tiny box even with the extra charge? Not worth it. The total comes to 24 dls and I can get far better options elsewhere for that price.

Thai soup was not tasty. Noodles and dumplings were not good cooked. They used plastic wares that are not my favourite.

Ordered two Thai soups through Uber eats. Received Luke warm water with a few slice of beef and a lump sum of rice noodles. Call back to explain my dissatisfaction to the restaurant. I was told that I had to select every single item I wanted to be in the soup through the Uber eats app. Turns out it is not true, you are only require to choose a protein. Every other choice is if you want an extra or a substitution. I am so disapponted that I will never ordered from this location again.

Normally this place is great but on August 23 2023 I got my normal beef pad se ew with extra sauce. There was a new guy cooking (I m basically a regular at this point and I didn t recognize him, only the one on cash and the new guy looked to obviously be in the middle of getting trained) and he butchered it. Tried to call twice after I got home to my disappointment of a dinner to let them know this but nobody picked up the phone. Normally there is a lady cooking and she makes this dish perfect every single time. Tonight I was very disappointed and just wanted to let them know to please let the new guy know , extra sauce means EXTRA SAUCE! Not -less sauce- not -no sauce- . EXTRA SAUCE! Especially when you are paying extra for it . So upset rn.

We have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this Thai express location! The food is great and the service is 10 out of 10. Even though this location is farther from our house then the other locations we don t mind driving a few extra minutes because of how kind the staff members are. Sometimes I am treated poorly because of my gluten allergy. But not at this Thai express! The staff makes me feel welcomed and comfortable!

I ordered for delivery where you can clearly select the option NO spicy, I called on the phone and they did not give me an option of anything, they told me that I lost my money and I ran out of dinner.

On google it clearly says that this place closes at 11pm. I was at the store before 10:30pm and they were closed. It would be great if you guys could get your timings sorted. I also tried calling the place several times earlier and they never pick the phone. How are we supposed to contact you guys if you dont pick up? Please try and improve the service.

Bland Express, food wasnt that great. Ate at other locations and it was decent but here had no flavor. It was the chicken pad Thai I ordered. I would eat at other noodle places near by, more for the value and authentic.

Horrible Service, I have frequented this location many times. When taking clients up to Kingston this was ulour uaual lunch spot. As time goes on, service has gotten horrible. Today I ordered a tofu fried rice and confirmed with the employee its vegetarian so they dont put egg. They delivered a vegetarian fried rice without tofu and added egg. When we approached them to fix it the employees tried to charge me extra 3 dollars for tofu and said that vegetarian doesnt include tofu. They also stated the the order i said was to comlicsted. Communication with their current employee base seems to be horrible. Further I went through reviews for this location and it seems its an ongoing issue. Their customer service is rude and getting orders wrong seems to be a norm. How does a franchise allow this locatoon to run without keeping business owners liable for this sort of attitude. If customers wanted to take a risk and try something different , wed go to non franchise locations. The reason behind choosing a franchise food spot is for comfort and consistency. Very disappointed

On google it states that they are open until 11pm. It s 9:45pm and they are closed. This seems to be common. Definitely lost my business.

My wife and I both love this place. Their food is delicious, service is great, and theyre usually very quick. On top of that, you get to watch them make your meal right in front of you. The restaurant is clean and there all tons of menu options so its not hard to find something youll love.

Ordered through skip the dishes. Asked for no bean sprouts in my food. Got bean sprouts in my food. Called and explained and they told me to just get a refund through skip the dishes. Not even an apology was said about it. Not so sure they care about their customers. Now Im out my dinner because which isnt helpful as I have celiac disease and only have a handful of options to eat for takeout. Will not be ordering from there again. Do not recommend.

I love Thai express, but this location really dropped the ball. Went to get some dinner here and the noodles were almost completely uncooked. Couldn t even get through the first couple of bites. Incredibly disappointed.

Great food

I order chicken fried rice. They gave me a small Thai express box but I wanted it in a container. The server said he would charge me for that. I said okay. But he didn t charge me for it, but he still gave me a look, lol. The chicken fried rice was good though(3/5). Above review is from a year ago. This time I went for a cold winter walk and thought a spicy soup would be perfection. I googled for a tomyum soup and it took me to Thai express. I paid 12 dollars for the huge soup. The soup had a lot of noodles, mushrooms, clean pieces of chicken and the taste was just out of this world. You most certainly get the value for your buck here. I gave a 3/5 star review for Thai express last year and would like to change it to 4 based on the soup. Would love to try more stuff soon.

Ordered Yellow Curry but the curry served was almost looks and taste like Chinese curry with thai flavor.

Healthy and filling meals! The box the meal comes in looks small but fills me for hours!

I am not impressed. The food was okay, but not great and almost cold, and it was soup that I picked up and took home myself. (5 minutes away). I found the person waiting on me very unfriendly to the point that I almost left. I cant think of a reason to return. We have some very good Thai restaurants in Kingston, and this isnt one of them.

I decided to get the vegetable salad roll and steamed dumplings. I did not like the vegetable salad roll as it taste weird amd i think it maybe was too much mint or something in it but I did like the steam dumplings but for the price I paid was a little bit too much. I will definitely go back just to try other ones but it was fast to get my order like 10 minutes and they were all pretty nice in there.

Very good food but bad customer experience. Where do I start? SMH. Their website is unnecessarily complicated to order or place orders for take out from. I spent nearly 30 mins trying to figure it out, only to learn that the place is closed or so it said. Google said it wasn t so I called. The employee couldn t care less and was not courteous at all. He literally hung up once I said that s it without a word and without asking my name and number.

Pretty nice little spot, the soups there are all fantastic. (Edit) originally 4 stars due to the chicken being shaky once when I got it, but Ive upped it to 5 after the owner responded to my review kindly. I have so much admiration for owners who treat reviews legitimately and that dedication is something I admire.

Gross! I ordered the chicken curry and it was potatoes and carrots mixed in my maybe 3 tiny chewy fat chicken(was it even chicken?) Barely any sauce!

Absolutely disgusted by the behavior of the salesperson. He took my order with a very patronizing tone and it seemed like he was doing me a favor. They use a faulty POS machine and call almost every customer twice saying your card didnt go through - insinuating that the card was out of limit or declined. It has happened to me quite a number of times now. When I was asked to pay the second time (like the three other gentlemen waiting before me) because apparently my card didnt go through, I politely asked that have they thought of changing the machine. I was met with a very rude attitude like I committed a sin and the reply was no, we wont . Dear thai express, thats not how you behave with customers.

Customer service has not been good the past two times Ive ordered from this Thai Express. My order was made incorrectly and I was made to feel as though it was my fault, even though my order has been the same for over 10 years and have never had an issue at other locations. I will not be returning to this location.

Really good, if you enjoy cardboard in your food! Called to let them know about it and I was told it just happens, you know?. I worked in the hospitality industry for 7 years and never experienced cardboard in someones food, plus the person on the phone couldve handled that a little better and at least apologied. Definitely better off going to local thai place in town

Tried the shrimp Tom yum at this location and it was really good! Only issue was the neighbourhood wasn t great, what has happened to downtown Kingston? Homeless ppl sleeping on the benches, garbage floating around, I got harassed by a crackhead for money and didn t feel safe. Would never go here when it s dark.

Ordered a general thai chicken and yet I couldnt taste anything not even the pineapples that it came with.

Clean environment, good taste, but portion of meat and veggies was poor.

The worst resteraunt ever. I ordered for Uber eats and wait for 40 mints then they cancel my order. I have to call back to ask why and they told me they can t make it because no more ingredient left. You could denfinetly tell me at The beginning , idiot.

Alert. This place is no longer kosher or Halal. So all those previously thought that it was please beware that its not as of August 2019.

this place is crazy, one dude makes the spiciest off menu items and names them after how badly that respective person would kick your ass. honestly the food isnt anything to write home about but the sheer spice level makes it so i cant taste the food anyways, only pain and mild euphoria.

My favourite restaurant

Had vegetable Pad Thai and General Thai battered beef abd both were great.

We went to this location for the first time and were very impressed! The inside was so clean and modern, I really enjoyed the decor! While we were waiting for our meals we chatted with the manager who was also making our meals and he was super friendly, which made the wait seem to take no time at all. Everything was delicious and well made, 10/10 for service and for flavour! :)

My pad Thai didnt taste like those from the same Montreal chain and was dry; lack of sauce and seasonings.
