I really like the rueban sandwich and the game fries; the perfect amount of saurkraut to pastrami, and the mable rye bread was fresh! I love fries that are obviously freshly sliced from the potato with some skin left on! Great to reheat in an airfryer too

Their food is good...not a busy day being a Monday afternoon...I asked for change so I could leave but waited for a long time...waitress forgot...I finally paid my bill and left no tip...wont be going back there anymore.

Fast friendly fare

The food was alright. Appetizers were fired at the same time as the main dishes. We couldnt enjoy the different courses.

The food is really good here. Ive always heard their breakfast was supposed to be good, but until now Ive only had dinner here. The breakfast was very good though. The only problem with the lunch and dinners are the sides are huge. But they are excellent.

I really wanted to like this place, I love diners. But both times Ive been here the service was insanely slow. 30 minutes to get our order taken, 60+ minutes for food to arrive. My wifes hash browns were cold and the hollandaise on her benedict was split.

A large group of us (kids & adults) went inbetween basketball tournament games and the service was amazing and they were so patient with us.

I really like this place. Service is always good and attentive. I have not had their food so I cant comment on that. Beer prices are good. Atmosphere is good. The only thing that is a little off setting is that it smells like old socks and potatoes. Other than that, its a really nice neighborhood Bar and Grill.

FOOD. Food was good -- prime rib dip sandwich was small, tho. They served heaps of fries which were weird to look at, but were tasty. They were very brown (caramelized). Some will say theyre too salty; that made the prime rib dip a little bland in comparison. TIME. The place was busy-ish, but it took a long time for waiter to stop by my table for the first time and to come back to take my order and to bring out the food. I was there late lunch, too. Like 1 or 2 oclock. So, its not a place to grab lunch on lunch break from work.

I live in the area and have tried most establishments. Looking for that go to place for good food and good service. I sat at the bar and was attended by Kristina, who was kind, attentive and looked like she was enjoying her job. Employed that are having fun and happy really add to the vibe of a restaurant. Bet was cold, good variety on tap. She recommended the Ruben and it was spot on! I will be back! Thank you Kristina for making me feel at home. If you are in the area The Game is where it is at!

The wait staff was very friendly and pleasant. Only gripe i have is the stalls in the ladies rooms have broken locks. Otherwise I enjoyed it and would return. Food is extra huge in servings though. Definitely sharing size lol.

Not enough amazing things to say about the most authentic dining experience on the east side. Staff - food - great customers - just the best! Billy burger is without question a must have! Oh - and the breakfast - best in town!

Every time we go in we see someone we know. Its a great neighborhood spot with amazing food and service. Kid-friendliness: We bring ours kids here all the time and they love it! We play trivial pursuit and I spy.. while we eat and never have a bad time.

This is a fantastic local spot. Its pub meets diner. The food is very good. The specials are innovative and well priced. And the service is excellent. This is a very well run place so you wont be stuck waiting long even when its busy. If you havent tried this place before, stop in. You wont regret it!

Great food and staff! Work at the Safeway near there and love comin to grub wit the boys from work. Wish they had a pool table!

Used to love The Game for breakfast, but WOW they are getting pricey. 2 Small Game plates which is 2 eggs, hashbrown and toast, we added a side of bacon (4 strips) and 2 coffees...$42.26!!! For breakfast?! Its good but not that good. I used to take my entire crew here for monthly meetings, but Ill save that size bill for a nice dinner at a restaurant, not breakfast in an outdated sports bar.

My go to favorite for salads, breakfast and comfort food for at least 20 years. Never ever experienced bad food or service, they are wonderful! Bloody Marys and their bbq pork are especially delicious.

My family and I have tried to enjoy this place several times as it s right down the road. What never fails is the lack of good service. Every time we have had to either chase down a server to order, get drink refills, or get the check to leave. Sometimes all in one visit. It s ridiculous the lack of attention they give to customers. We are forbidden to suggest The Game as a food option in our household anymore.

TL:DR - A bowling alley without the lanes. Reliable and plain. This is the place you go to once a quarter to get out of the house, have an old man lie at you, and pull some tabs. You dont take a date here, you dont plan to eat here, you dont drive here only. You come here because grocery shopping on an empty stomach is a bad idea. The food is okay, the beer is served, the staff is appropriately surly, and the price is okay. Without changing it I could improve it very slightly but the effort would be a waste.

Met with some friends for breakfast. I had to change from a 5 star to a 2 star. The food has changed to a watery/burnt version. Coffee tasted very watered down and the eggs we runny even though I ordered over medium. Bacon was burnt on ends. Maybe a new chef? Very disappointed. Waitress just blew me off as a response.

Stopped for lunch and sat at the Bar. The server Robbie was attentive and had my drinks ready before I had finished the one before great attentive service.

Gave the bar tender $100 dollar bill to play pull tabs on a Friday night & he proceeded to tell me, I m not counting out that many tickets . This after I ve already spent about $50 bucks on drinks & food, & invited friends to come spend money. I was beginning to go here regularly on Fridays & spend about $100 bucks per time, however after that I ll never go back again. What kind of establishment is too good for your money? That s ok, I ll spend it at the next place. Hopefully Nick is just a bartender & not the manager. He is definitely costing that place money.

I ve always loved The Game and have eaten here too many times to count. I have never been disappointed by the food. It s my favorite local breakfast place. My favorite Bloody Mary on a Sunday. Cobb Salad lunches. Baked potatoes. So many great things. Tonight we went in for a birthday dinner and for the first time I ordered Prime Rib. I was a little worried because I d never ordered it there before, but It was perfect! It was also reasonably priced. We didn t feel up to going anywhere too fancy or too high priced after a long day at work. We had generous portions, fresh food, and great service.

Im a big fan of the game. My family has been coming here for over 10 years now, and it is still one of my favorite spots for a good burger and a beer.

Terrible. Not sure who this was but I ve seen her before she wouldn t serve me because I was using my passport as ID . Then said no. Very rude staff and got nothing but terrible looks. Do not recommend

Use to love this place for years before COVID, but it is going down hill fast. I understand the struggle of small business in the current labor environment, and really hesitate to do this review, but my last two meals here were literally REVOLTING! Most recently the hot turkey sandwich had thin slices of almost translucent processed turkey, canned cranberry sauce, and probably canned gravy atop two thin pitiful slices of bread. The mashed potatoes were good, but the veggies consisted of two slices of raw cucumber. It looked and tasted more like prison food than something you pay $14.95 to purchase as the daily special. Again, my family has loved this place for years, but at some point you have to say enough to horrific quality food! If you go here, be sure to look around the room at what is being served to others before ordering, and be prepared to just walk away.

Ordered take-out and told 25 min....took over an hour. Understaffed and food was awful. Burgers and fries both burned. Wont be going back.

Place has changed, its terrible now. The food is ok at the very best, usually terrible though. The staff seems to be mostly drunk all the time and the place smells like dirty rags and dishwater now. Ill never be going back

My husband and I ate here for dinner for the first time tonight. I got the burger, he got the prime rib. The burger was huge and came with a mountain of fries. It was so delicious and exactly what I was looking for. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the prime rib and mashed potatoes. The service was excellent! The waitstaff was very attentive and my drink was never empty. It s a great neighborhood eatery and we highly recommend if you re looking for good comfort food and excellent service.

Fantastic! Amazing! Wonderful! The staff, the food, the drinks... it s everything you could ask for in a local family owned pub.

The breakfasts here are very delicious and recommended. Lunches and appetizers are super. The french toast and quesadillas are yum! Serving sizes are large - you get what you pay for! It is fun to watch football games here. When walking in, you wont get a fuzzy greeting. Look past this - the staff is great once you are settled. It says something that the staff has been there a long time. The Game follows the mask and encroaching on privacy (vax cards) steps. If you appreciate it, this is a good place for you. If you dont, there are many places that do not check vax cards in the area. I was disappointed and prepared not to return, but I saw how responsive they are to their customers, they do whats right overall. Importantly, being one to support local and small business owners, I pray it doesnt hurt their business. They are an icon in the neighborhood. I just ordered a burger to take out! When the crazy goes away I will come back inside for breakfast! Im praying for your success, The Game!

Food is great, drinks are drinks, but sometimes you ll wait 25 minutes before you just lose patience and have to order from the bar and hope that the rest of what you are wanting is not sold to whoever arrives AFTER you!!
