insane wait time with uber eats. they admitted to the delivery person that they are understaffed and have massive orders. newsflash: it s christmas day, who s the brainiac who thought being under instead of overstaffed was a good idea? they should have at least been respectful enough to decline my order if they can t handle their workflow. i pity anyone who dined in there tonight.

Order placed on-line , several hours before scheduled pick- up time wasn ready had to wait more than 15 minutes while they filled my order. Food was ordinary not worth the delay. Dont intend to order there again.

Do yourself a favor and just stay away from this place. Both times Ive eaten from here, the food has been sub-par at best. What caused me to write this review is the absolutely disgusting food I was served this second, and final time. Kon Pao chicken was flavorless with a sauce that wasnt anything other than seasoned water. The star of the show was the Shanghai noodles I paid almost 4$ extra to replace my rice. The cook literally scraped the carbon buildup off the inside of their wok, threw some oil in, and tossed my noodles in it. SO GROSS. Dont know what I did to them to deserve this, but they wont get me again!

I just picked up what I thought was shrimp shu mai for my family as we are driving back to Ottawa only to realize that there were not shrimp but shrimp and pork. We don t eat pork. There goes $30 I ll ever see again.

Irresolute, I scratch my scalp; a menu as thick as a novel rests in my hands, a challenge for a lover of simplicity like me. I resort to my tried and tested strategy: take advice. Fortunately, the manager is there to guide me through this maze of dishes with not very evocative names. So we head to the Chef s Recommendation section to finally arrive at the Pork Chops with Onions. The vast space is practically deserted, there are only a few people seated around the windows and none of them seem to be regular customers. I am served water and it has a strange aftertaste. I voice my concerns, but there is nothing to be done: the fault is what comes out of the tap... So this is the framework; not enough to arouse very high expectations. Despite everything, the sky is dotted with peaceful cirrus clouds and I remain well disposed. I resign myself, it will be what it will be. We place my chops on the table, topped with peppery cooking juices. Yes, I have to admit that it s quite nice! I gain confidence and add dim sum to my order: Har Gao and Siu Mai. Although they dont quite match my taste preferences, they evoke memories of my memorable trip to Hong Kong. These dim sum offer a unique sensory experience with their texture found almost nowhere else, highlighting the importance of keeping an open mind. At the end of the meal, the manager places the famous Chinese cookie on a white plate which she places in front of me. Taking advantage of its amenities, I ask a few questions about the place and I ask, candidly, if all its numerous seats are sometimes occupied by happy guests. This is no longer the case since the pandemic. People prefer to order takeout, she says with a touch of nostalgia. It s a shame, because I would have imagined this place full of families celebrating around a good meal in a good-natured atmosphere, taking turns cracking jokes at each other in Cantonese or Mandarin. If there was an option of zero star I would apply it to food quality, service and atmosphere. Tasteless food. Four of us all got our food at various times. Some of it was not what we ordered. Some was cold and was then microwaved and returned to us. Place seems to be more busy fulfilling take out orders and there are people hovering around waiting for their take out and the wait staff are not paying attention to eating in customers. Most tasteless Chinese food ever. Never again.

As always ordering first time I got like 80 worth to sample the menu and thats 80 Ill never see again..hot and sour soup is tasteless Grey broth not hot or sour ....the veg chowmein was soaked in a sauce chich was very wired had a very artificial taste...the lemon chicken and general Tao were average at best some pieces were not even meat tho just cartilage and batter...spring rolls were average taste like oil tho no flavor again..overall disappointing but atleast I know Ill never order there again

Ordered for pick up. Although order was ready in time, when we got home and opened containers, instead of the konpao chicken, we got pepper chicken. and all the food was warm. This was the third time our order was messed up. The first time was an app issue, the second time we were missing a main dish, the food was warm & not very good. We ve had a great experience in the past so I decided to give them another shot. It s my husband s birthday so I decided to added a note with my order asking them to make sure my order was correct. Food was terrible; spring rolls & egg rolls were dripping in oil, soggy noodles terrible. Really disappointed again. Sorry Wok Café 3 x out!

Very bad service , not polite customer service. 3 hours waiting for food delivery and asked to wait for another 2 hrs or cancel the order. These are your choices, though the delivery is 2 blocks away.

Ordered from Kirkland branch on Uber on Xmas and gladly accepted the 1 hr wait. When I got there at the assigned time I was told they re not prioritizing Uber orders, they hadn t started making it and it would be another 45 minutes. There were 10 other customers as well ad Uber drivers being given the same speech. My Uber app then notifies me that my order has been picked up! The restaurant was irresponsible for not temporarily shutting down their Uber service during this time. I went home and made burgers. Uber refunded my money but I will never go back.

I really have nothing good to say about my meal. I ordered 2x the General Tao with vegtables and rice. The spring rolls tasted like foul mush. The vegtables were bland and the rice was like cardboard. As for the chicken, it was not spicey, not sweet and definitely not good. Every piece was nothing but fat and grissel. I will never go back and to be honest, one star is too.much.

The beef chow fun had flavor on the noodles but the beef had absolutely no flavor. I dont want extreme salt neither. Just good flavor. Maybe the chef changed. Very sad.

This place is a joke. I paid extra to change my rice for noodles and they put me a spit in size. Barely even enough for one fork. Disgusting, never going back again and I will make sure no one I do neither. 0/10 I would have give if I could.

This place is in the heart of kirkland, easy to find and easy parking, they are nice and friendly, our family likes here. I have ordered takeout before, and today is my first time to dine in. The dishes are rich and the Cantonese food is delicious. The tofu pot, beef with double mushrooms, seafood tofu soup, salt and pepper fish, and hibiscus shrimp are all very large. I was given a customized shopping bag, which was very friendly. I didn t take the photo well, it s very random, sorry for that.

I just had a few bites of my Pad Thai, it was a waste of money. Dry and no flavor, horrible! Never again!

Great Chinese restaurant in Kirkland. We had the Combo Special 1 (General Tao Chicken) and 6 (Chicken with Spicy Peanut Sauce). The combos are served with white rice, vegetables and your choice of spring roll or soup: wonton or hot and sour. Good portions and good price. Few days later I ordered to go General Tao Chicken (J1) and Honey Garlic Spare Ribs (K24) as a Main dish, not combo. When I went to pick it up after 1 hour, it wasn t ready. The General Tao main dish is not as good as the Combo in the dinning room and the Honey Ribs were on the dry side. I will go back to the dinning room but I will probably not order again to go.

Fresh and tasty food

This has to have the worst food Ive ever had. I ordered the Gen Tao chicken. It was old bits of cooked chicken recooked with mostly batter. Some lumps did not even have any chicken in them. The sauce was not GT but rather a chili sauce that I believe came from a bottle. They had no green tea and even though a Chinese gentleman came in after us, he was met with a pot of tea. No chopsticks for us. The vegetables were just overcooked bok choy with a tiny piece of broccoli. I left most of the meal on the plate but no one cared to know why I didnt want to take it home. Will never go back.

Very Disappointing. Before COVID-19 their specials were good value. Now their specials are mostly rice. Not only was the meal mostly rice but I paid extra to get fried rice. Not going there again.

The tom yum soup didnt make sense, not even edible , had to throw it out. they do not have spring rolls, its egg rolls. the whole experience was awful , cold food because of over capacity in supplying during covid. First time customer, last time customer. Please no not believe the hype that this place is good. over priced for the amount and quality.

In general the food is good but the Hunan dumplings were very watery and lacked flavour. The sweet and sour chicken and General Tao shrimp were tasty and the portions are sufficient. Not the best but a good bet nonetheless.

Pretty disappointing really. New location in Kirkland, so naturally, had to try it. Ordered the spicy Thai Style Seafood dish (keyword being seafood). Wheres the seafood? Counted about 6 tiny shrimp (the kind Dollarama would sell if they had a freezer) and maybe 2 sticks of that fake whitefish crab stuff. Did it taste good? Ok at best... Way more better places to order from... this ones a no-go...

Very subpar dim-sum. For about ~6$ per dim sum item, the quality and quantity just doesn t add up. Don t come here looking for great dim sum. Their tofu dishes are good but not great as they use fresh vegetables and decent quality tofu, however it s drowned in sauce.

If you order something without meat make sure that is does not have meat ,after they tell me that they made a mistake two minutes after I get a call were they try telling me were there is no meat in it when there is .I must be stupid as I was asked

This restaurant is really clean, the service is very good, the food is really well done (stir fried rice, fried noodles, dumplings, etc) and the best part, they have a solarium with a nice view to a terrace, which is surprising considering the simplicity of the facade. I really recommend it.

I ordered the chicken in black bean combo, it wasnt bad, but it wasnt that good and it was seriously lacking in flavour... It was mediocre and nothing to brag about. Yeah, I think Im done with this place.

Horrendous service. I placed an order at 5 pm. The order was to arrive by 5:40. At 6:15 I called the restaurant and was told the order had been ready since 5:50 and they were waiting to deliver it?! Wok-Cafe on Sources Blvd next to Five Guys is the better one though General Thao tasted fishy and chicken had to fight with it to chew. Other foods were off in taste. On my visit to the one off of St-Charles food quality a tad even lower with lower taste, less ingredients, amount quantity a hint lower and the quality way down... The food is just ok here, nothing to rave about. Up side, staff very polite.

SO DISAPPOINTED! I have been seeing decent reviews about this place for a while now and with our nearby favorite Chinese restaurant closing we decided to give it a try. Instead of ordering through Uber Eats and having this place give up a huge portion of their profits, I decided to drive over and pick up. Our order had 2 mistakes, took 15 minutes to sort out and even when we got home we found issues. This food is buffet quality for fine dining prices! Maybe it makes sense if your a single person ordering a $15 combo, but $100 for 3 people Chinese take-out is insane and their portions are a joke. The peanut dumplings that were supposed to have 8 had 6 tiny dumplings!!! One didnt even have filling. The food is fine but the value is outrageously poor and we will never return. Beware, there are so many better options in the West Island and this place doesnt care about customer satisfaction or experience.

I ordered last night through uber eats. I ordered chicken chow mein. When it came...the noodle were ALL completely raw...as if they had put the chicken etc on top in the hope that it would cook the noodles. The sauce was thick and luke warm . The dish was quite tasteless. I have ordered chinese food from many restosin the area...this is by far the worst.

Please do not order from this restaurant .i have never given a google review before but I had to give this because it was that terrible .i am a chef so I know when chicken is stale ..it was cooking from chicken that had blackened because it s no longer fresh for consumption.i wonder how they are still open .i am extremely disappointed.
