2220 Carillon Point, Kirkland, WA 98033, United States
Le Grand is a small taste of France right here on the shores of Lake Washington. Offering perfectly prepared bistro cuisine, professional and friendly service, and a second-to-none view, Le Grand is dedicated to providing you with an amazing experience.
This institution continues to be the best restaurant (at an affordable price) in Kirkland. Amazing views, great service. Food is consistently great, with once in a while a dish that is too salty, but if you say so they will accommodate to your taste. Just one request: Bring back the chocolate mousse!
First indicator a place really 4.5 stars or above is when management can't spend the time to reply to great or awful reviews. So, beware! The place is located in a small touristy type joint with a marina and few business, including a hotel. We were staying at the hotel and decided to give this place a try. We asked for and got outdoor seating but it took some time before we were served. The waiter seemed dumbfounded because we didn't want any alcohol - when I asked for a "coke" he made this inquisitive look as if we didn't have the $ to eat here! My wife is lactose intolerant so asked a simple question about butter - the "annoyed" response was uncalled for. I ordered some oysters (which was fantastic with one of the best mignonette sauce ever!) and fish credo - it was ok. I got clams and it was almost inedible. The sauce was horrible and Luke warm. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he stated this is how it's made here???? WHAT?????! Wife got the ahi salad - above standard. Overall, a disappointing experience with the waitstaff. Folks, if you come here, you have three options to eat. Skip this place unless you like below standard service (especially for the price).
My wife planned a birthday celebration for me here. We arrived late afternoon, and the restaurant was quite busy. It was pleasant to enjoy the scenic views of the marina. The overall service was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, they spoiled the surprise of the celebration, despite my wife requesting them to keep it quiet. Their friendly congratulations from the door were nice, but not what we had hoped for. The food and drinks were all delicious. I definitely recommend checking them out.
Beautiful setting on the water. Service was great and food was pretty good and drinks were great. I'm saddened that the napkin left white residue on my pants, but will be back.
Came out to celebrate a milestone birthday! I hadn't been to this restaurant yet was familiar with the venue due to prior restaurants. Parking is out back or in the parking garage below; parking can be validated by the host when seated. We went mid morning and the restaurant was fairly quiet still; it was nice to watch the scenic views of the marina. The general overall service was attentive as well. Fortunately, it was brunch and they had everything from daily specials to seafood options & dessert as different menus. Given our party, they were able to customize some details, such as ideas for what the kids could eat (no kids menu noted during brunch) as well as preparation requests. We had a range of eggs benedicts to potato pancakes and french toast. The drinks were all enjoyable (coffee, freshly squeezed juice, French 75s). I am sure the other menus were just as wonderful! Definitely recommend checking them out; I'd be curious to hear how others' experience is!
We were celebrating my mother-in - law 'S birthday party on Sunday. Unfortunately we all were disappointed with the waitress, She was totally drun and didn't order our food ccorrectly. I love to have breakfast with my girlfriends and family in this place before. The food and service were awesome. But not this time, I ordered halibut and it tasted so bad I had to give up on second bite. Plus we spent over two hours for one meal, that was not a present party at all.
Amazing location overlooking the lake. Great brunch and excellent staff. I was there sitting outside when it started to rain just after they brought my coffee. They moved us inside due to the rain and the move took 3-4 mins. After that they brought me a fresh hot coffee as mine had started to get cold while we were on the move!! That is excellent customer service!!!!
We came for Happy Hour (2-4pm). Ordered everything on the happy hour menu. Most of the food items are great. See comments in each photo below. Forgot to take photos some of the food items and of the chocolate moose at the end. The chocolate moose was wonderful, not too sweet. I was already full from the food earlier but couldn’t resist the chocolate moose. Very nice staff too.
Parking: Parking is free with validation Recommended dishes
Amazing food and view!
Delicious food in gorgeous environment and rarely has a long wait even on weekends
Our favorite place for brunch! Great food and amazing view.
Phenomenal! Oysters were delicious. Pricey but well worth it. Foccacia was amazing as well. Great view with tons of heat lamps, blankets, and a table fire for outside seating.
We enjoy their burger very much!
Excellent food and drinks, wait staff is superb, dining room is pleasant and cozy.
One of my favorite spots in Kirkland. The food execution is amazing, and the service is top-notch. The ambience is equally charming, providing a cozy and elegant atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. Highly recommended!
Beautiful views with Fancy food at expensive prices. Go for happy hour or get a discount card from Costco. Unless youre rich, then enjoy! Wheelchair accessibility: Theres an elevator in the garage downstairs
Duck liver and mussels are great, and prices are reasonable. The French fries are amazing, so crispy! However, cocktails are just so so and overpriced. Food
The boeuf bourguignon was great until 2 bites in the meat pieces were very hard to eat. Disappointing.
You pay for the views not the food here
The patio at Le Grand is awesome when the weather is nice! The food is good (the chicken sandwich and burger are favorites skip the mussels), and the atmosphere is lovely. Dining inside is also nice it s a great date night spot and good for a girls night. They have a great wine selection, too. It s one of our favorite local spots on the Eastside.
Food is delicious. Service is outstanding, but last time our server probably wasnt in a good mood, but she tried her best to provide a good service.
French escargot is a must, paired with wine, and the salad is very authentic. The lakeside is the real scenery.
One of my favorite restaurants in Greater Seattle Area. Food is excellent, staff was very nice, and the restaurant has wonderful views of the water and sailboats. Overall the ambiance in the restaurant and overall in the neighborhood is uplifting. Recommend
Please bring back the duck primavera and les dieux canards
Excellent service, great atmosphere and the food was great except for the risotto which had more corn in it than rice. Definitely not what I expected or wanted and did not satisfy my risotto craving.
There s a plethora of restaurants in Belleve/kirkland, it s time to try others out. We had made a reservation a month ago. We arrive and are seated, it takes 20 mins before our drink order is taken. A lovely server that is understaffed (then do not seat more than you have staff for!) then a considerable time before the bottle of wine arrives, then another 15 mins before our food order is taken. Mind you, you only have a 2 hrs parking allowance. I order the lg French onion soup and Mac n cheese to be served together. The soup arrives first and so I mention again, I d line them together. I wait another 42 mins before getting a few noodles in a soupy cheese sauce, my soup is now cold. I probably could have over looked one digression but being practically ignored for long periods of time and then eating cold food made me disappointed to say the least. You can imagine how thrilled I was to find out we had to pay for parking because it was impossible to have dinner in the two hour window allotted . Maybe I wouldn t have cared but to pay quite a bit for drinks and dinner and my take away was never again ! Paying to park was salt in the wound.!! On a positive note, the view is spectacular!!. Note the restaurant mgt has no direct control over that!
Disappointing Service Experience I arrived at the restaurant at 4:30 PM, and there were only two other customers. I requested a window seat, but the server told me all seats were reserved and that guests would be arriving at 6:00 PM. I mentioned that I would be leaving before 6:00 PM, but the server then changed their story and said the guests would arrive even earlier than that. This is just ridiculous, and there s no reasonable explanation for this. Very disappointed with the experience.
Last 2 times the server was aggressively rude. Okay once everyone is allowed an off day. Management seemed to be aware but not doing anything about it. Very disappointing as they have a great view and was fun to come after sailing. Food was medium but the service and atmosphere made up for it. Not sure if Ill be back well see.
Food was great server Mark was fantastic he was coming around everything we needed him to be, very helpful. All around good time it was definitely worth the drive!
After being told that the table will be ready in less than 20 minutes it took almost an hour. Hostess was very rude about it. The food was not great and unfortunately there was a hair in my dish. Nice location too bad the food is way below average.
Prices sky high. If paying $25 for hamburger and chicken burger it should surpass Culvers. Not so. Very dry
I was there with friends the , Fisch and the steak also was delicious but the other items was not so good , the service should be better. I advice it .
Vegetarian options: Lasagna- not vegan but vegetarian and definitely Up A Notch from the usual lasagna Food
Beautiful setting at the water. Great healthy food options.
Nice dinner spot with a view of the water with seating inside and outside on a patio The staff was friendly and helpful It ran us $60 per person with one entree and one drink Parking: There is a paid lot underground that will get validated by the restaurant
The reason for only 3 stars because this restaurant charged for every little condiments that go on your dish. For example, the charged $5 for a few mushrooms and $4 for caramelized onions for the French dip sandwich. These extra charges are not listed in the menu nor informed by the server. It appears as though this establishment is trying to nickel and dime their customers.
We had reservations for 7:15 pm and didnt get seated until after 8. We were there to celebrate a birthday and wanted a nice evening out. All of our food was very tasty, we had appetizers then our main entree which arrived at our table after closing which was very uncomfortable as the staff were sitting and having thier meals. We felt rushed and that we were those people who keep staff after closing. It was a birthday so of course we wanted to have desert which again felt rushed. We also werent sure who our waiter was as we had 3 different staff occassionally attending to us. Service was slow until after they closed then we saw them often. Wanted to like the restaurant as we are always looking for a new spot but dropping over $500 for that experience was beyond dissappointing. They have such potential with a beautiful spot on the water and good food but we will definitely not be back due to the service and wont be recommending them to others.
Stopped here today to pick up a salad. Service was great. Ordered the Dungeness crab with heirloom tomatoes & added prawns it was delicious. However, they gave me 1 prawn and it lacked a very small portion Dungeness crab meat if you blinked you would miss it which was disappointing.
We love this place! Fabulous onion soup and croque madame!
Great food, staff, and view of the lake!
Everybody loved their food! Except for the Kiwi sorbet. Everybody at the table tried it, and it made me feel nauseous. I hope nobody orders this because six people were there, and no one thought it was good. Everybody had to wash their mouths out with their water.
Its not cheap but the view the atmosphere and the food is definitely worth it. We spent $200 for four people. The service was great as well.
Great view of the lake, mountains, boats, from the bar (inside).
Came in on a Saturday before Mother s Day with my husband and child, they set us but 15 + more minutes later not one single person approached us to even offer us water, not even I ll be back with you, I know we were the only Latinos there but hey we still even going to pay and consume like every other white person there. What it upset they several servers walked by us and looked at us, made eye contact with 3 and none offer us like I said a water, they even checked on the table behind us and next to us. NEVER AGAIN, I will even let my friends and family know to avoid this uncomfortable place.
$20 for a Ceasar salad with no meat. Very expensive
Great location with delicious food.
We made a reservation for 5:30pm on a Friday and got seated quickly. I ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon and my Boyfriend ordered the Bison Shortrib. The food wasn t that great. It had lots of sauce, not much potatoes or vegetables. Maybe I m just not a fan of French food, but it was like shredded beef in a lot of sauce. Our server was great (I believe her name was Michelle), and we were in and out in 30 min. I wouldn t visit here again or recommend. I wanted a dinner do-over somewhere else.
Very nice place and the food was excellent!
Great food, with a phenomenal view.
Such a wonderful restaurant! Incredible views, attentive staff, many menu options for every pallette and a warm atmosphere. Michelle was the perfect waitress and the rest of the staff worked like a well-oiled machine. Always worth it!
Our VIP visitor and our company members really enjoyed the food and service. Especially the service was great! Thank you so much for everything youve done. Vegetarian options: Anything is good.
One of my favorites I ve ever been to, amazing management!
Everything was fantastic. Oysters were fresh octopus is great and the duck l orange wasnt what I remember as a lorange but it was good.
Average food
Perfect service. The salmon was a little bit too salty and too fried but the vine and cheese were great as well as pate. Wonderful view.
Most dishes came cold, and portions are so small. Use to love that restaurant a lot, but now, we were not satisfied at all.
I m good. Parking: Kirkland Food : 5/5 |
Ok food. Not bad but not excellent especially considering the price. Way too much potatoes in every dish. Filling but cheap and not very delicate. Great service, ambience and views.
Food is hit and miss, very good atmosphere, and poor service. We had a 5- person birthday dinner and it was a disappointment. Fish dishes were quite good. Meat dishes were soaked in sauce. We waited more than an hour for our main courses to arrive (1.5 hrs after we came in) and then they brought 3 plates out of 5 and we waited for the other 2 for another 5 min. The food for the 3 of us got cold while we waited for the remaining dishes, and eating cold duck is not that much fun. It was a disappointment. :(
Very nice!
It is good, but not the best one.
Really disappointed. Ive had dinner here years ago and remember it as a lovely evening with wonderful food and attentive staff. This experience is so far removed from that. The service took forever, the bread order was initially forgotten then brought mid-meal and my friend was served clams instead of the mussels she had ordered. We wanted to walk after dinner and watch the sunset, but sat frustrated, waiting for the bill as the sun slowly lowered toward the water and sank beneath the horizon. When we complained to the waiter he was snarky and blamed the kitchen. Food was hit and miss. Lemon Drops amazing, duck was delicious, escargot good, cauliflower inedible. The restaurant validates for parking but dinner took so long we actually had to pay a residual amount. I had suggested this restaurant to my friends. What a mistake.
Beautiful setting and cute restaurant, but the food is just ok and the prices are outrageous. $20 for avocado toast and got a single small piece of focaccia with a modest amount of avocado and some arugula. To add an egg to the dish was a $6 upcharge. $23 for a very mediocre burger. The hostess and server seemed annoyed by everyones presence - it was a nice day and people wanted to sit outside, why get frustrated by the requests?
Delectable excellent food & service
Staff always goes above & beyond, delicious food every time. Always excited to come back, cannot recommend enough!
Great food. The starter platter was huge and delicious, consider it before ordering mains. One of these is a little too much for one person (it is noted as for two). We had two for four people. The dinner afterwards was too much. Delicious mix of starters.
Duck, lamb, and Brussels sprouts. Simply amazing, not to mention the best mashed potatoes hands down. Cocktails are a work of art: visually and taste wise.
Nice vibe French style with many options. Can get a nice view seat by the marina watch the water front You can park at the underground garage, take the ticket to the restaurant as they validate. Stay indoor from the parking up the stairs into the restaurant. Tasty food and nice selections of drinks, cocktails, wines Vegetarian options: Plenty of options. Parking: They validate the underground parking
Delicious food and great views. Really appreciated the heated outdoor dining
We had the onion soup, hanger steak and cassoulet. It was all excellent. Look forward to eating here again.
Nice view of the harbor. Food quality is excellent.
Very nice brunch, differs from most local places. Views are beautiful.
View is pretty decent 4 stars Service is okay 2.5 stars Food is 1 star
Lovely place !
Duck hash was excellent.
Delicious food on excellent service. Had the steak and eggs and really enjoyed it.
Cant beat the location even for Kirklands high standards. Food was very decent and as expected. Service though, nothing much to talk about, other than its not matching this place. In general terms, way too pricey for lack of exclusivity it was meant to provide.
Amazing service and food. The summer patio is absolutely beautiful.
It s very mediocre food servers are in rush but food is very slow. Overall not good experience
Everything about this place was absolutely wonderful. The service was impeccable, the food phenomenal, and the views are stunning. Probably my new favorite Washington restaurant. Used to live in France, and this is highly authentic. Steak and truffle whipped potatoes were perfect, and the deux canards was also to die for. Desserts tasted fresh and homemade. Highly recommend for lovers of French cuisine!!
Simple, but good American cuisine. The products are quality, but dont expect culinary complexity
Delicious waterfront French bistro! The menu is very French and tasty. The foie gras that you can add on the charcuterie is so good! Reservation is probably a good idea because it gets busy fast! Wonderful experience on a Sunday morning
One of my most favorite places on Eadtside and the entire Greater Seattle area. Food is delicious, and service is iimpeccable.
Poor service. Food is good. Skip the egregious wait staff and order to go. I have no problem waiting for food and drinks, but I do have an issue with rude staff.
Rain or shine, so much goodnesses! The boeuf bourguignon tho... I dream about it. Excellent wine list, cheese, charcuterie and accompaniments, French favorites, hand crafted cocktails, desserts so good!! A view you cannot beat... and in the Summer ,the perfect patio. Et voilà, le grand Bistro.
Good food. Fun view where you can see the boats come in. Accommodate my celiac well, have not gotten sick and have eaten here 2-4 times. Only 4 stars because I requested a window seat that was open but was denied because somebody already checked in. Even though no one was sitting there
Everything is amazing here but the food. Location : 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Food: 1/5 Everything we tried was boring or just bad but you cannot beat the location.
Love it! Great food and great service.
Good food and ambience offset by inconsistent and more often than not inconsiderate service. Weve had some great experiences and then more so at the other end of the spectrum.
Had the escargot for an appetizer, the lamb shank and the boeuf bourguignon for dinner and the sticky pudding for dessert. EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT! Will definitely be coming back here again. Great service and wonderful atmosphere also.
A very good place.
Amazing views! Best Creme Brulee ive had outside of france :)
Food overall was unspectacular. Experience was a safe swipe at french fair. Go for the view. Hope its not behind you!
Delicious French food and good experience overall
Always love to dine here
John is cut above the rest. Superb service Highly recommended Food
We went on a gorgeous sunny day and you cant beat the view!! Out waitress was so helpful and spot on with her recommendations. We loved everything she suggested. I got the Ling cod and it was absolutely superb! Great oyster options as well!
Dietary restrictions: They listen and take allergies seriously. Food
Kid-friendliness: No changing tables in either restroom. Have to use a low bench in the womens room. Food
I visited this place several years ago but didnt get a chance to give it a proper review. However, I had the opportunity to go there yesterday to meet up with a friend. Unfortunately, I didnt take any pictures on this occasion. The establishment offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is quite delightful, especially because it provides a lovely view of the water. If youre planning to dine in the area, youll be pleased to know that the parking garage is complimentary. The food at this place is generally tasty, although it does lean towards the pricier side. During my visit, I enjoyed a refreshing mocktail and ordered a standard side Caesar salad, which amounted to approximately $34 after factoring in taxes and tips. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. One of the highlights of the visit was taking a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk after the meal. It was a pleasant option to have, allowing me to soak in the surroundings and enjoy the ambiance.
Food was good.
I had the old fashioned to start. Not bad. Not the best one ever. The octopus appetizer was delicious. The escargot was good, but needed some salt or something. The copper river salmon was awesome. The risotto was decent, but nothing too exciting. Service was definitely slow tonight, but we were not in a rush either except had to pay $5 for parking because more than 2 hours. View of the water from the table was amazing.
Always perfectly amazing! Great view, wonderful dishes and the best service! I recommend you try the full menu as I have enjoyed all of the dishes they serve. The roasted chicken and onion soup are favorites, as is the one of a kind bruch on the weekends which includes the best quiche outside of Paris! FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world
Love the attentive staff. Delicious menu and drink options. The view is always gorgeous in this warm and inviting space. Outdoor seating is available in summer months with a waterfront view above the dock. Great spot for Sunday brunch, lunch or dinner anytime. Full bar. Validated 2-hour parking in lot under the complex. Consistently deliver = 5 stars! Parking: Validation for 2 hours
Went with a bunch of French guys. They werent sure what sort of food it was :). Didnt get any seating options for our group of 5, would have preferred something with a view of the water, but we were herded out front and had a nice view of the parking lot. Took about 20 minutes to get drink orders started, but once they showed up, the service was very good. The food was pretty good, not great. Staff friendly. No complaints really.
Great place to enjoy a meal.
The Niçoise salad needs help! The dressing is blah; tons of capers thrown on but minimal other ingredients like beans, potatoes, tuna, eggs. Disappointed. The meals the hubbies got were great. Guy at front desk not very friendly or accommodating! Like the inside better in the winter than summer!
Not only the server had her whole thumb in my plate, they greet us to a full on SEGRAGATION room people! The Indians, Asians, Latinos and blacks were hidden in the back. Meanwhile the whites had the best tables completely separated from the rest! I am disgusted. The food was bland. Awful presentation. I d rather eat at McDonald!!! And I don t like fast food!
Paid bread and butter, but the bread not fresh made. The entree probably was sitting in the kitchen more then 15 mins (not even in the warmer) before someone remembers to bring it out to our table. I have to ask for more water even though waitress passing by many times. Took more than 10 mins to order sherbet after we finally got our dessert menu and wait for another 15 mins for the sherbet to be served. Wave my hand asking for check, waitress avoid eye contact. Not a good experience at all.
One of those rare places where service is just impeccable Shoutout to Leslie! Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and serving our table so well.
Amazing view ! Nice old fashion - I ll recommande the filet sauce au poivre - the sauce is not crazy but the quality of the meat is really impressive.
Great views, good food, fance fance
Location, location, location. This restaurant is located in a gorgeous spot. The place itself is nice. The food was pretty good but not for the price they charge. Like in any French-style restaurant, the servings are very small but the arrangement did not strike as exceptional. The worst part was the service though. Waiting for 20 minutes for the smallest request?! The service level and politeness are far from the standard they should strive for and that ruined the atmosphere.
Good experience overall. We had great service and of course a beautiful view
TERRIBLE!!! Ordered filet mignon medium, it came out raw. They took it back to the kitchen and burned one side, other side still raw. Gave them my credit card when we arrived and asked that they give me the bill for the entire party. Then, another member of our party showed up after me. They took her credit card and gave her my credit card to hold until the end of the night. The staff seemed to think it was a big joke that they knowingly gave my credit card to another patron.
Food is absolutely bad. Location is nice but food is like from a very cheap cafe. There is nothing French besides escargot. You can get way better food in Metropolitan store deli that is 5 min away. All restaurants in this plaza are just terrible. Probably designed for stupid tourists.
Everything is very expensive, especially Vine. They sell it by pichers its 250 mg less than bottle but price is 42 $
For whatever reason we havent been here for years. Totally forgot they have an outdoor patio and how great the views of the lake and marina are. This was the first time my wife and I ordered the same thing, which was their duck. It was very good. We also had a vegetarian with us and though the server suggested our guest not have the one main vegetarian dish, she ordered it anyway and it looked great and it was also said to be very good. Not sure why the server was trying to talk a vegetarian out of a vegetarian dish. Bump up the ticket price? Seems unlikely, but she was not pleasant our whole time there. Like she didnt want to be there. Its too bad as the rest of the evening was nice and topped off with an incredible sunset. Vegetarian options: Not much, but they do have options.
Beautiful setting, marvelous food, and brilliant staff. Id say the cost reflects my first sentence. may be high but so worth it! We all had a great time. Food
First time visiting. We were there for a semi-private party in the back area of the restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. Had the NY strip - grilled perfectly medium rare. Asked for horseradish and they had fresh shaved. Liquor and wine selection was very good. The view of the lake is great too.
The service is always outstanding. The food is great. They rotato wines and specials just enough for my liking.
Great view, good food. Coffee was inconsistent from one cup to the next, but good.
It wasnt what we expected. Recommendation for Management to tell employees to be more customer friendly...
Everything was great, but French fries were soggy and seemed to have been reheated.
Perfect place for a romantic summer dinner date. The food was yummy without being overly pretentious or trendy. The view was perfect. Staff was friendly. The location really makes it a home run. Perfect for a walk after dinner with a view of the lake.
Went to this place with my boyfriend for our 5th anniversary and was so happy with our experience. The restaurant is in such a cute location so we got to walk around a little before our reservation. The host that greeted us was a bit busy but was still friendly and accommodating. We had a server get us water and really quickly after our drink order was taken so we werent waiting long. Our server was so sweet and personable and she checked in on us pretty regularly so we never had to wait if we were running low on drinks or if we were done with a plate. Our food was amazing, I got the shredded duck confit and my boyfriend (whos vegetarian) got the caesar salad and the bell pepper tomato soup. We got to enjoy the views and the nice breeze that we got as we ate. Dessert was also great and our creme brulee was taken off of the bill for our anniversary (and it was brought out with a cute little candle!!) which was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. Overall our experience was amazing and it made our anniversary so special! The only suggestion I have is to sit inside if youre bothered by bigger bugs, we had a few flying around our table but theres not much that can be done about that. It was made better by the little birds coming in too to dry off when it drizzled a little bit. Vegetarian options: Not a huge amount of options but we didnt have any issues finding something.
It is a great pleasure to enjoy the scenery and delicious food by the beautiful lake.
In spite of the nice view of this place, I stopped going to this restaurant because I felt seriously that this restaurant discriminated against their customers. Whenever my husband and I went to this restaurant, a hostess lady almost always gave us a bar seat, even if there were many empty tables. She said all those tables were reserved, but no one came until we finished our lunch. This happened several times. My husband told me even this review is not deserved for them.
Great drinks and the food was stellar. The grilled octopus was the most tender that Ive had. Ashlynn was very friendly and made sure everything went smoothly. Thank you Parking: Restaurant validates parking
Great spot with beautiful views over Lake Washington. Friendly and knowledgeable servers, varied menu of shellfish, fish, streaks and their burger is great!
Great food, casual atmosphere. Great spot and fabulous views.
The quiche was pretty good
Nice food and service, excellent location.
Drinks were bad this time, food was low quality, steak cut was really sad! Staff is really nice and kind.
Slow service, very limited happy hour menu.
Great food and beautiful views
Nice place A little expensive for the food, but the atmosphere, and especially the staff make up for that. Overall, thank you, and especially a shout out to the staff, who are making the experience worth while.
Reliably tasty food, helpful staff, views beautiful in any weather.
Good food, service, and atmosphere. Nice experience. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because it felt a bit pricey. Filet mignon $49. Halibut $37. Those are almost ok. But a very simple burger was $22, which seemed high. Nevertheless, it was good. Parking: Couldnt find any space in the paid parking lot, so the attendant told us to go to the adjacent lot (still in the same plaza, but a different entrance, used primarily for offices), and it was free on the Saturday we went! (presumably because the offices were all closed on weekends?)
Good food, great service Moorage sucks, but its not their fault......
Great views, reasonable prices for quality of growth of and great service.
Poor service: we arrived on time but they were running late. Requested a table with a view, did not happen. But more importantly, they brought our entrées before we were done with our first courses. Food: I am aware that the name of the restaurant is le Grand Bistro Américain (but they claim to be a French restaurant), but foie gras should NOT be served with crackers and cornichons. Overall, food was average and overpriced ($32 before tax and tip for 6 raviolis, seriously?)
Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had a large party of 20+ and this was one of the few venues in the area that could accommodate us. There were appetizers ready upon our arrival and we had a three course menu with many diet friendly options to choose for each course.
Came here for an anniversary dinner. Had the NY steak w potatoes, mussels and Beef bourguignon. Food was delish. Our waitress was nice and helpful. The general manager John was kind enough to pair us with a wine that really complimented all of our food. Finished with sticky pudding for dessert. Yumm!
Great lake view from the window seats, seafood is great, we had the grilled octopus and escargot for the appetizer, loved these; we also had the hanger steak and the steamed mussels for main entrees, these are good, but probably would try something different for the next time.
Our server had a terrible attitude and she was super mean, we were there as a big group for bday celebration but she ruined it.
Horrible experience! I went for office retirement party. I ordered seared ahi tuna and got it overcooked and dry. It had unappetizing grey color as it was cooked at wrong temperature. The person next to me ordered the same dish, and his tuna was browned on the outside and almost rare inside how it supposes to be. He said he liked it. I was expecting it to be like his too. I did not ask to replace it because I did not want to sit alone without a plate while other people are eating at one big table. It ruined a party for me because I felt insulted being served chefs overcooked mistake. I would never eat there again.
Best spot in Kirkland for waterfront dinner
The food is excellent, the views are brilliant and the staff professional and friendly. The menu might look limited but it ensures quality of execution. The fact that most nights you can hear local French expats is a testimony to a great location.
The food, especially the mussels were fantastic and the service was top notch.
This place offers awesome food. If you are looking for French food this is the place. I tried the French onion soup and it was great, however the escargots were the next level.
We was celebrating 35th University. Some food was awesome, some not. Overall atmosphere was good besides loud kids next table
What a hidden Gem !!!!! We were so pleasantly surprised. You have an amazing view of the water. Its really in the middle of nowhere. We were taking pictures with some of the other couples. Really great atmosphere.
I loved the place overall. The braised lamb was delicious and tinder. It was full shank on the bone. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection and yummy. If you love French food, this is a must stop!
This restaurant is located on Lake Washington waterfront, providing amazing views and a cozy yet elegant ambiance. The service is impeccable, and the parking is validated. The cappuccino is served in European style and is one of the best in Seattle.
Very slow service
Great mussels and their Fries are some of the best in the area. French onion soap was excellent. Love the place right on the water.

My steak was so delicious and I loved the sauces that they included.
This time we expected the same taste of food, as last time but the sauce was too sweet. And dishes were almost similar to each Plus, slow customer service we were waiting for our services for more than 15-20 minutes. Our table left there more than 600$ but expected more than we got.
Nice bistro with classic French dishes, awesome oysters and fantastic staff. We tried moules frites, boef bourguinon, risotto and a dozen oysters. Oysters were awesome, risotto was tasty, boef bourguinon was good (but I like my moms better), moules were ok.
