106 Central Way, Kirkland, WA 98033, United States
Cash-only spot offering meat-laden gyros, falafel & other Greek staples in casual digs.
It’s good for where it’s located! I believe Santorini was better before than it is now! The pita could have been a bit warmer and taziki sauce could have been added in a better way, rather than just gushing it on to the meat. I do love those Greek fries, cheese warm and delicious, with a little crunch! Ordered: 2 lamb and beef gyros Greek fries with cheese
I don't recommend the lamb and beef skewers, they taste blunt, not as flavorful or fragrant as expected. Place is suitable for a quick bite.
Love their food. Good lunch spot.
Ordered the Greek salad with chicken...the lettuce was fine...Everything after that goes downhill. Not enough kalamata olives about 3 1/3. NO feta cheese! There was some white specks in the salad.?? It might have been processed possibly mozzarella cheese had no taste thank God it wasn't that much in there! No cucumbers no red onion! the salad dressing once again thank goodness not a lot! There was this pink liquid at the bottom of the plate which was on the sweet side.. not anything like a Greek salad that I've gotten there before! The chicken was was chewy lot of gristle! Sorry I won't be going back to this place! Wasted money once again!
Our "Favorite" gyro place around the Seattle area! Casual, and family friendly place with good service. The food comes out quickly, and is definitely delicious. The gyros are full of meat and veggies, yet there is an add on extra meat choice. I highly recommend this place!!
I had the beef kebab (which they call Souvlaki) and it was excellent. The meat was well seasoned. It wasn't the most tender I've ever had but for the price it was very good. Similar to sirloin steak quality meat. Everything else in the meal was good as well. I got an extra kebab since I was hungry.
Favorite gyro place around! Very casual and friendly service. The food comes out quick too. The gyros are full of meat and veggies. Usually can’t finish it. Fries are freshly fried and good.
This place is kind of a staple in the neighborhood. I ordered the lamb pita with fries. The fries were good and freshly cooked. The lamb pita was not bad, but I felt that it lacked flavor. I’ll admit that I am picky with my Greek food. Everyone one working there is nice and the place was super busy mostly with to go orders.
So damn good
It was a wonderful dying experience. I would recommend going here.
Best Gyro this side of the Mississip. Always amazing and great staff.
My favorite Gyro spot. Been going here since 98. Same great food and service. Definitely recommend
We had taken away and there were tables but it is just a small area and so mainly I think for takeaway. Food was great and they put together the plates we ordered quickly. Food
Simply spectacular. We found the flavor we were looking for, we ordered gyros and Greek chips and it was a complete delight!!! and wonderful attention. We will always return
Great gyro meat. I went when it wasnt busy so the service was great. Baklava wasnt the best but was alright
Very loud and hot restaurant. Ordered the hummus, falafel, Greek salad, and falafel salad. Falafels were burned & texture was sandy. When we complained, NO efforts made to remedy, remake them, or refund our money. Walls are filthy with food splatters. Salad and hummus were delicious, hence the 2 stars.
The most excellent Greek food you will ever have in the Seattle area! Everything is consistently fresh, well priced, the crew is awesome, and the owner truly cares about his restaurant in the quality of his food! Weve been coming here for years and my family and I love it. Dine-in, take out, or outside seating - its always good. I would highly recommend Santorinis, a true Mom and Pop Greek place.
Had a gyro plate. Atmosphere was ok, but the food was fantastic and staff were friendly. A plate was almost too much food for one
Disappointing food. Those who serve are very friendly but the gyro (sandwich version) is very bland and tasteless. I would not return nor recommend it.
Fine. Service is self-serve and cleanup, so... A little substandard in my book. Food was decent and plentiful but not inspired. Its ok for what it is.
Fresh and delicious Greek food.
Good 8
Yer o best Greek around! Amazing gyro sandwich and salad.
Gyro so great
Since the new owner took over the quality of food doesn t taste the same. Cutting corners. Greek fries wasn t the same and also the gyro didn t have enough meat.
Food is to die for, highly recommend a sandwich, so simple yet so out of this world. Never been to greek but this gives me the feeling like Im there. Plus, the food came out quickly and delicious. They were able to accommodate a bit of modifications I wanted flawlessly. Enough about the food, the staff were quite nice and funny. They were very friendly and attentive. 10/10 would go again. Free parking in front but very limited which is unfortunate cause they deserve a whole parking lot full of customers.
My favorite , great people and great authentic Greek food THANK YOU!!!! Food
My favorite salad in Kirkland, fave Greek restaurant. Doesnt look like much but the food is delicious and the people are nice. Everything Ive tried has been good but I usually get gyro or gyro salad and avgolemono soup.
OPAHHHHHHH I d compare this to a chipotle, wasn t really special. Food seems fresh, but wasn t the best seasoned. Truly was disappointed, but I try to sweeten my experience with a baklava; but after one bite I had to throw it away because it was so stale and soggy. When I mentioned how old and wet the baklava were the employees seemed to laugh at me. Also in the middle of my meal, I noticed a really bad odor and all the employees disappeared. Not sure if they were doing drugs or not, but it wasn t a good smell. It wasn t burn food smell either, and it did not smell like cigarettes or weed. I will say the music here was Bumpin, and I liked all the peaceful images of Greece.
One short visit for dinner. Typical small Greek fast food. Nothing fancy, nothing unusual, nothing amazing. But reliable simple Greek like dishes. Gyros and kebabs. I had over cooked chicken kebobs with the tadziki and pita plate. Enjoyable. My son had a gyro, predictably too big to eat. Im not complaining. Its all normal, and often normal is better than bad surprises. Ill be back, thats the important part. I hope you like it too. If this helped you decided one way or another, like this review so I know to write again another time.
Just had a beef and lamb gyro here. Literally one of the best gyros I have ever had. This place is highly recommended Vegetarian options: Salads
This is our new favorite place in Kirkland. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is quick and pleasant.
I ordered their classic lamb gyro(double meat), and it came out weighing like a newborn child. This fine establishment knows how to deliver maximum taste per dollar!
We have been going to Santorini for more then 20 years . Food is good and the plates are well served and they are very cheap My family all love the this restaurant Food
There are a few different Greek places in this neighborhood, but this is by far my favorite. Simply love how thin the gyro Meat is and love the quirky decorations explaining how Greek food increases your libido. I thought the lamb and beef skewers were just okay for the price but would definitely come back again for their gyro plate. Maybe even two.
Awesome as always!
Lamb and beef Gyro is amazing. Greek fries are addicting!
Amazing food. Always a treat when Im in the area. Best lamb Ive eaten in the region. I get the skewers. My friends love their Greek fries.
I ve been here three times and always order the Mousaka plate. It is absolutely delicious! My husband loves their gyros. Also, their salad dressing is to die for. Highly recommend this place. Best Greek food and great prices!
When in Kirkland this is a must have! Food is delicious and well priced for the amount you receive. The staff is also very friendly. Street parking is the only downside, but expected for the area.
Huge plates you can share between 2 if not too hungry. Falafel on point.
Tasty food, great value! Highly recommend the gyro salad
Good stuff. Fast service. Friendly people!
Authentic Greek place. Excellent gyro and pita sandwiches.
Best gyros in Kirkland. Fast and friendly service and close enough to marina park to get your Greek cuisine and then eat it at the park! Have gone here for years and it never disappoints.
Yassou!
Update, they do accept cards now! *CASH ONLY* Tender meat, generous portions. Amazing tzatziki, highly recommended. Great evening sun at outdoor tables too! Food : 5/5
Ive been coming to this place for 20+ years. Still the best Giro Ive had in the greater Seattle area. Not super fancy, but super yummy.
Fabulous as always!
Classic spot for Greek food.
It is a place where you can buy food. I would not recommend buying this food.
Loved the food, nice people and nicer music played.
TL:DR - Not what you need out of a place which primarily serves gyros. 5/10. Its fine, but, its not correct. In America, most gyro meat comes from Kronos , and as such you must consider the other items. Not enough vegetables or sauces, unimpressive sides, lacking beverages, and miserly practices. At large it is a cart that has grown roots but never improved. More olives, more tzatziki, some peppers, a real beer, maybe ouzo, or pack it in and go away. Vegetarian options: It is friendly to, but, not worth the money. Parking: Street parking with nearby lot. Prepare for a walk based on weather. Dont assume you can park near. Kid-friendliness: Not for children under a certain age. Also not for spastic urchins.
Love the food. Always consistent. The guys that work there are great. Always friendly and nice. Never been disappointed.
Ur welcome
Souvlaki plate was good, simple Greek food with well balanced flavors. Really enjoyed my lunch here.
You can never go wrong with Greek food especially here!
My favorite gyro spot on theEastside. I used to not eat gyros, but in high-school I was at the table with my freinds who got some and the owner noticed I didnt, gave me a free one to try it. I loved it and have been going here ever since. A summer staple for me.
Awesome hole in the wall authentic Greek restaurant. Friendly staff and quick service.
Simply excellent- best gyros ever!! Accepts credit cards now 2023.
The food was some of the best tasting food that I have ever had and the staff were so nice. I would highly recommend this place and I cant wait to go back. Kid-friendliness: They are one of the most kid friendly restaurants that I have been to.
Soda was watered down
Peaceful place with delicious and authentic Greek food
Surprise excellence in food!!!
I strongly suggest you give this place a try. I work at a local business and one of our customers told me about this place for 10 straight minutes. I decided to give it a try since he felt so strongly about it, and he was right! The food here is amazing, you have to try it at least once, but I m sure you ll keep coming back for more!
Brought our volleyball team here for pre game meal and food was great, service was great, and friendly staff
Still the best gyros around.
Really wasnt sure about this place. Dont judge a book by its cover. The food here was amazing. The crew that was working was awesome. The place was spotless. I did not use the bathroom. The prices were very reasonable. I had the gyro. They are huge. Consider sharing. Fries were perfect (slightly well done). I would consider going here over and over if I lived here. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars... Reminds me of old school.
The best Greek food weve had on the Eastside. Fast, friendly, and delicious!!
Best! Enough said.
Bland as bland can be Portions are meager too Food
Rude staff
Gyro
Owner is out of control. He treats his employees like garbage and his customers even worse. Food has gone way downhill over the past five years and the meat they serve is barely edible.
This place tastes like they get everything from Sysco. Sysco gyro meat, cheap sysco rice, costco pitas, frozen baklava dusted with sugar, watery tzatziki that could have come out of a faucet. If youve eaten Aramark gyros, youve eaten at Santorini. It is completely identical in taste. A very big disappointment given the rating.
This doesnt taste like Greek food... It tastes like corporate cafeteria food. The pita was stale, the gyros taste like it was premade by a wholesaler, and the rice is the worst Ive tasted in a while. Baklava was a decent portion size but they dust it with sugar, not honey. It tasted more like a donut than baklava... The only good thing I can say is that it was a decent amount of food for the price and the service is fast, but the quality is so disappointing.
Simply love the place...for the last 30 years and same owners!
Great place, love it, food is amazing. Love the stuff and owner. Great people!!
Nice little restaurant Family owned I believe Excellent food 11/10 would go again :)
We love the giro sandwiches here. The pita is very fresh and the meat filling is tasty. We also get a baklava for dessert. Honey goodness on flaky layers. Yum.
Nothing fancy - Great food and service. One of our favorite spots. We usually get the lamb and beef gyro with Greek fries. Yum!
A staple Greek restaurant in downtown Kirkland for a very long time.... 30 years? Weve being taking out gyro salads since the beginning and keep coming back!
I love the lamb gyro salad here. Great meat, perfect dressing, and large portions. The baklava and Greek fries are great too. The food comes out fast, and tastes fresh. I would highly recommend if you want excellent Greek food!
Ignore the description, this place is not cash only, they take credit cards no problem. Food is delicious and staff is very friendly. Can t recommend it enough.
My favorite Greek place
Beef and Lamb gyro was pretty good.
The food was very good , this spot is a necessity if you are looking for Greek food !
Exelence authentic Greek food and excellent service
One of the best quick options in downtown kirkland
Best Greek food around. Guy that owns it is a funny guy.
No doubts the best Greek place to eat on the Eastside, not to mention the phenomenal prices... btw, in covid-19 environment and social distancing, expect a 15 min wait just to order, 60-75 feet long line, but its worth it, trust me ... Now that covid times are behind us, the sense of normality has returned to great place in downtown Kirkland, with Chef Sravros and his always friendly crew...
The gyros and lamb souvlaki are very good and the avgolemono soup was delicious. Service is always great here.
one of the best kabab in town. fresh healthy good price, good cook. definitely will come back.
Best Greek place. Been coming for years. Consistently amazing quality food. Great owner too.
This place is soo good! The best gyros and gyro salads on the east side for sure. Dolmathes: 10/10 if you know and love this traditional dish, I highly recommend it. I like to think of this like a Greek egg roll (rolled in cabbage/grape leaves instead of fried). Lamb, Chicken, Beef Skewers: 9/10 meat was very well seasoned and super tender. Gyro Salad: 11/10 my absolute favorite! Lamb & Beef Gyro: 11/10 my other absolute favorite!
We stopped by yesterday on our way home from Juanita Bay. I was a little disappointed. Inside doesnt have AC so it was hot. The plate meals dont come with hummus or tabouli. The gyro was small and the chicken wasnt very good. The French fries didnt have enough salt. And the the tsiki didnt have dill or other herbs, it was super bland. The lamb and beef was OK. We wont be going back, but if I could go back in time I think I would get the appetizer plate and a skewer of beef. Or a salad. The table next to us all ordered salads and they looked good.
The foods are typical and my expectations were much higher. They definitely need more people to help. We spent almost 1h for ordering and receiving our foods. They also need a stronger exhaust vent for their kitchen. I could not stay inside due to the strong cooking smell. Even if you can stay inside, you will have to try hard to remove odor from your clothes!
Santorini is a locally owned Greek spot with delicious gyros, falafel, dolmades, baklava, etc, and very fast service. Updated 7/2022: Still one of my favorite lunch spots in downtown Kirkland. The prices have gone up quite a bit, as is the case most everywhere, so you may experience a bit of sticker shock. Welcome to Kirkalito.
Santorini is a Kirkland institution. Delicious traditional gyros, salads, and baklava. The owner greets everyone with an authentic smile and his staff had worked there for decades. Dont miss!
This place is a Kirkland staple. Come for lunch or dinner, theyve got all the classic options. Theres a handful of tables outside if the weather is nice. My go to order is usually just a regular gyro but the souvlaki plates are great as well. Vegetarian options: Falafel, Salads, Spanakopita
Great food! No longer cash only as some previous reviews state.
Super delicious especially the gyros and salad.
Very very busy but we got our food quickly. It was very tasty and the Greek.fries were delicious.
My favorite Greek spot! Authentic, friendly people, and quick.
Great food friendly staff clean and tidy environment
The real deal.
Delicious gyros and delectable baklava!
Overpriced a nd the food is mediocre at best
Like the once great Greek empire, the Santorini of recent times under new ownership pales in comparison to outstanding restaurant it used to be. The gyro salad USED to be amazing, a dressing that sung, fresh ingredients, no skimping on anything. Now, sadly, you can barely taste the dressing, the olives have pits, the lettuce is not fresh, less feta, less peppers, less flavor in the gyro meat. It basically is an average Greek salad. I mourn the loss of the best Greek food I d ever eaten.
A true Kirkland staple! Only place the fam will go for gyros. These guys are the best, and so friendly!!
Pretty decent spot. Their gyros dont come with feta, its $1.25 to add feta but they do put A LOT. They also used sliced tomatoes instead of diced which is kinda weird. Overall a decent spot but a bit expensive for what u get
Had lunch here. A Greek gyro. Delicious! Fresh! Ample serving! Nothing but good words to say. Parking: Limited
Fannnntastic! Fresh. Ample serving and so delicious.
Gyro is a must .... get the Greek fries too
Amazing food! Loved the falafel sandwich! Very friendly and helpful service from employees.
Phenomenal food we had here. The owner was nice enough to offer some free lamb chops to my husband because my son in law regularly dines here. The gyros were out of this world. Greek fries were amazing too. This place deserves my highest recommendation.
Excellent food and friendly staff. The gyro salad and musaka are delicious!
Food was good. Atmosphere was very chill. Guy behind the counter was super friendly and food was ready very quickly.
Love this place Been coming here over ten years Cashn only
Ordered a gyro which was delicious
Definitely reminded us of our vacation in Santorini. Service was friendly and very quick!
Always delicious, fresh, and fast! Ive been coming here for 15 years and the lamb gyro and gyro plate are my absolute favorites.
Excellent food and service time after time. A must when you visit Kirkland. They are now taking credit cards and Apple Pay.
The best Greek food on the Eastside. The owner is friendly and provides a great product.
Excellent. Been going here for over 20 years and its just as good as always.
Local owner
Simply the best gyros, always fresh and hot, very consistent.
Quick and pretty good! Close to the harbor so you can just get the food to go and go right down to the water which is really nice
Good food for a reasonable price. Enjoy a Gyro.
Beef/lamb Gyro was made quickly. Darn tasty. Slightly on the pricey side but not surprised considering location. Would easily go back for this item alone.
Awesome neighborhood gyro stop - looks to be family owned. A real gem these days. So glad they made it through Covid!
Visiting Seattle from Dallas and I was blown away by the food. The area is beautiful as well. It s a small shop but they staff was Friendly and the portions were a lot. Thank you
Consistently good food!
Tasty Greek food
Hands down the best Greek food around! Great service and the best food!!! Love!!!!
Chef are friendly and amazing food with reasonable price. Parked at beach for 3 mins walking
Great Greek food. We enjoy their lamb and gyros salad at least once a week. Stavros and his entire team are friendly and welcoming. They are highly thought of community members.
Nice gyros, the falafel, not so much.
My favorite Greek place in the Seattle area... flavors are amazing and authentic.
Excellent food! Local Kirkland favorite. LOVE the gyros. Well be waiting for you when you return from vacation. :)
Best gyros in Kirkland
Best Gyro salad!!
Been coming here for years! Always excellent service and food is dang good!
The best gyros in the Northwest!
Food is ok but definitely not Greek and im tired of so many places claiming to have greek food or gyros that is nothing close to Greek food. Im Greek and gyros is either pork or chicken. We never put lamb or beef in gyros. Falafel and Hummus is not greek it is middle eastern and we definitely dont put gyros in salad. Our pita gyros is gyros meat(pork or chicken) with tomato onion tzatziki and french fries wrapped in greek pita and nothing else. No beef no lamb and no lettuce or hummus. This place is as greek as pizza is greek so please dont deceive people with the name.
Delicious! We got a couple plates, chicken gyro sandwich and fries. All of it was very good! Big portions, reasonably priced and great customer service. I would highly recommend.
Lets see, Santorini Greek Grill in simplest terms is a place Ill love going back to any time Im in the mood for a gyro while on the east side as it is the best gyro place Ive found on the east side. Why? Well first off the whole gyro as a combined entity was just so delicious. Perfect combination of meat, veggies and sauce. I had gone with the extra meat option, but that was a little too much. A normal amount would still have been at more than most gyro places. The individual ingredients them selves were all really tasty. The meat was tasted great and were perfectly sliced. The veggies all tasted fresh and the sauce had the perfect flavor. The fries were really yummy. Best part of all their prices were reasonable for what you got. Over all a 6 out of 5 stars in my book.
Everyone was super kind and was able to get our orders out in 5-10 minutes. We got the greek fries and chicken gyros everything tasted great! Space itself was intimate and clean. Will come back here soon!
Always delicious Gyros!
Absolutely amazing!
Authentic taste and friendly service!
Great place to grab lunch whenever we re in Kirkland. Our go to place for a great meal!
Was closed on the Christmas Eve, while the hours were showing Open on Google maps.
Its been a few months but this has the best Gyros around. I carry cash so no big deal that its cash only.
My favorite Greek place in the state. This place is so so good, and has some Greek food you don t see at many greek spots. Cash only though, so come prepared.
Love the food, as close to authentic Greek as you can get in US! Favorites - gyro and gyro salad.
Does anybody know if they are open again?
Highly recommended! Food is great and the is super kind as well. Food is put together right in front of you and they never scoff at a special request. Please do not mistake this for your average fast food. I wait to get my gryo, greek fries, or over rice dish from here because no one else matches it. Worth a try any day especially souvlaki lamb.
Santorini is one of our favorite places to eat. The gyros are far and away the best we have had. Grabbing gyros and walking over to the beach for dinner is a great date night. Thank you to the family at Santorini for all the years of happiness you have brought us.
Searched around to find a substitute when they closed but couldnt find anything close to their quality.
Absolutely the best restaurant in downtown Kirkland.
First time trying this place with some friends and it was yummy and fresh tasting. Cant wait to go again and try something else.
I love Santorini! The delicious gyros and friendly Gyro Man have made gyro runs in Kirkland the highlight of my summer for years. I first visited when I was a sailing camper in 2013 as the final celebratory trip. Since then, Ive returned dozens of times -- as a sail camper, as a sailing instructor passing the joy of the Gyro Adventure to the next generation, and as a normal customer. To me, Santorini remains the ultimate trip destination and Im so glad its opened up again and continues to share Greek food and happy memories with the Kirkland community.
Worst gyro you can find anywhere. I had a chicken gyro and it was flavorless, meat wasn t thoroughly cooked and had no seasoning or flavor at all. Stay away.
Authentic food. A little pricey, but hey, its Kirkland.
This is great ! I usually go here after having my hair done in Kirkland. Coming from Seattle, it s worth the drive for great hair and great Gyros Delicious. Also recommend the Gyros salad
Best Gyro in WA! Hands Down!
Great service!
Great lamb and Greek dressing. Just wish it included more salad or lamb instead of rice. But that could be a matter of preference. Fast casual / Lamb plate $14.
Everything is exelent
The portion of meat to rice is very low. I expected to get more meat. The chicken skew was cold. Not friendly staff.
Great food, good laughs and they are freaky fast which is saying a lot being next door to Jimmy Johns! All around great place.
One of my favorite lamb gyros in King County.
Best gyros in town!!!
Excellent food and fast. Great service.
Simple, affordable, fantastic gyros. This is my favorite place to eat in Kirkland. Very authentic with a great owner.
Best gyro in the PNW! Stavros is THE MAN!
Best gyro Ive ever had, hands down! The owner is super nice and the staff is always friendly.
This place has good lamb and bed gyros and decent fries, for a good price.
Good Gyros when they decide to open
Good food.
This gyro is incomparable
My favorite place for Greek food. Authentic food and great staff and owner. Love it.
Delicious food, and the service was exceptionally friendly and kind! Adorable decor <3
The best gyro around and always greeted with a smile!
Every time I am in the area, I tend to stop at this place only when I have cash. The owner only accepts cash which is still worth the amazing food and great staff. They work hard as HELL!
Favorite battery, anything Greek is great to me.
Six stars.
