My workplace used to order lunch from this restaurant, and the food was so amazing that I had to visit it myself. Ever since, I’ve been coming here once a month for the past two years. In my opinion, this restaurant has the best Indian food in the area. The food is consistently delicious, the flavors are authentic, and the service is always warm and attentive. Highly recommend it.
Sitar Indian Cuisine offers an authentic and flavorful Indian dining experience that’s hard to beat. The dishes are rich in traditional flavors, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional service from Mohan. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure every detail of my order was handled with care and efficiency. His hospitality really added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a place with great food and warm, personalized service, Sitar Indian Cuisine is a must-visit!
Sitar has great food for a reasonable price! I'd highly recommend the butter chicken, chill naan, and Mulligatewany soup! While the food here is good, the service can sometimes be slow but the staff are very pleasant! My biggest complaint is they give you room temperature bottled water and if you want to order soda be prepared to be given a can without free refills. So those two points are a bit of a bummer. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fine, good but not great. With those things being said, I'd still highly recommend Sitar. The food is too good to miss out on!
One of the best Indian places I’ve eaten at, and I’ve been to a lot! We went for lunch and got butter chicken, samosas, pekora, and tikka chicken! All of it was incredible, cooked well with high quality ingredients! We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends!
We had a take out from Sitar Indian Cuisine. While the chicken dum biryani, chicken rogan gosh and chicken tikka was flavourful, the biryani was lacking chicken pieces with just one piece in the entire dish. However the garlic chilli naan was well packed and portions were generous. Overall the meal was satisfactory, but not exceptional.
Went in for a Diwali buffet. There was a huge spread of dishes on both veg and nonveg side. The staff was very humble and nice. They had a very nice balance of curries from vegetables and paneer to goat, fish and chicken. On the whole very tasty food. I really liked their aloo baigan and veg biriyani
We went as a large group during weekend for lunch. The place was not crowded so it was easy to accommodate us and we had a good time. The food is good. We tried a several chicken and vegetarian dishes. Among the one we tried chicken podi from starter is very good.
My family doesn’t try a lot of new things, but we thought it would be fun to try Sitar and support a local business. We were promptly seated. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly. We started with samosas and naan (buttered and garlic). Our entrees were butter chicken, coconut chicken curry, chicken noodles and tandoori chicken. So good. We will definitely go back to this hidden gem.
Omg , just amazing . One of the best place to eat north and south indian food . Dosa is very very authentic with great flavor and very mild spice level . My kids love this place and it s heaven . Thank you for serving amazing food .
Hidden gem: good food and kind staff. We got the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and cheese naan. Well be back for sure
Food was great ordered pachi mirchi Biryani and chicken 65.
We loved the Tandori chicken and butter chicken. Its the best Indian food that I have found in the area.
Pachi Mirchi chicken biryani was amazing
The most authentic tasting Indian food on the Eastside. After many years of looking for a place that tastes like home, this is it. My personal favorites are the gobi/paneer Manchurian, the goat rogan josh, and the carrot halwa. Dont even hesitate, just go.
Drivers dont make enough money to wait at your restaurant. Dont make drivers angry
We had sunday lunch in sitar, Best Indian food in Kirkland. Tandoori fish on top notch.
We have dined at Sitar Indian Cuisine in Kirkland, Washington a few times recently and have thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the overall atmosphere. Sitar offers a large variety of dishes, both vegetarian and nonvegetarian options and serves both North Indian (Tandoori dishes) and South Indian (masala Dosa, etc.) dishes all prepared tastily and in the traditional manner. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable, parking is available in plenty and I would highly recommend this place. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options both south and north Indian types. We tried Aloo Gobi, Navaratna Korma, Dhal Makhni. Parking: Plenty of parking is available in the premises.
Baby corn Manchurian was good but paneer tikka masala was like butter masala. I don t know if they got my order wrong or the taste itself is that way.
Love this place! Weve lived here for 2 years and this is one of our go tos. The food is so delicious that we always order extra for lunch the next day. Dietary restrictions: We are vegetarian, and love all of the options!
Service and food at Sitar is amazing. I am always in the mood for their Palak Paneer and Paneer 65 Biryani. The staff is always so kind, welcoming and accommodating for catering. Highly recommended a great desi meal.
Did a take out. Food was bearable. The tandoori fish was great. Kadhai chicken lacked taste.
Some of the most delicious Indian food Ive ever tasted. Also massive portions, its worth it.
I love Sitar, we pretty much get it every week without a doubt. Sometimes they can take awhile, but they seemed to have got that all under control as of lately, and have been super speedy. (They were sweet enough to give us a discount when i was hangry, and they took awhile to get our food to us) The food is perfect, and comforting every time. Staple in our house. <3
1st time at any indian restraunt. I had lunch butter chicken. Supergood and nice at 3*. Found this place in hidden stripmall while buying carpet , next to carpet liquidators. Price was decent, sevice was good , would eat here again!
Food was delicious. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Chicken Coconut Curry, they were super yummy.
We have been coming here for two years and have loved it every time. Sadly we will be moving, but sitar will be what we miss the most.
Their Vijaywada chicken biriyani and gobi 999 is absolutely delicious. It s a must try and the choices of biriyani they had is phenomenal. Will definitely be back again for some authentic South Indian food anytime craving hits!
Best Indian food in Kirkland; always satisfied no matter what I get. Service is always great. Highly recommend if you re in the area.
Veg 65 biriyani is good. Lassi is good.
Super tasty food , great service . Highly recommended
This is by far the best Indian cuisine iv ever had hands down there butter chicken is ridiculously good
This place is incredible! I just had the best Butter Chicken ever! Best place in town and at a great price! Staff was very nice and welcoming!
I am genuinely surprised by how good my experience at Sitar was. This is one of the few Indian restaurant that excels at both North Indian and South Indian dishes. I love going here with my wife to enjoy their Dosas, butter chicken, Garlic Naan and the delicious Madras Goat Curry. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a nice enjoyable Indian food experience.
One of the best dosa I had. We visited from Vancouver and the food is quite good quality. Nice staff and greets well.
Perfectly spicef ample servings and I have never had carrots for dessert so that was a unique experience
This used to be one of our go to restaurants around the area for its quality of food. Last 2-3 instances- the quality of the curries seems to have gone down. They just feel more oily after you finish eating. The last instance was just salty (it was take out food- so couldn t give the feedback).
Had fish fry and veg Hakka noodles. The fish fry is masala based with no crusting. While Veg Schezwan was more of Hakka noodles with peas in it. Vegetarian options: Veg Schezwan Noodles, Veg Hakka Noodles and selection of Veg curries and biryanis.
worst restaurant for online order get food after 2 hours
One of the best Indian restaurants in and around Seattle.
The food was incredibly tasty. It was really flavorful without being overly salty. I will absolutely go here again. I would really recommend the chicken Shahi korma.
Hidden gem! Went randomly and tried the Chicken 65 biryani, Masala Dosa, Butter Chicken and butter naan.. All outstanding! Will def be back again.
The food was amazing! I got the podi dosa and it was perfect. Service was also great - the waiter was funny and helpful.
One of the best Indian restaurants in the US! Their biryanis are amazing, apollo, noodles, kadhai paneer everything tastes soo good. Takes us back to India.
Too late to get food to us. And some times mutton will be very chewy.
Im actually supposed to receive my order at 09:03, but now its 09:30 and Ive been waiting for almost 30 minutes. What kind of service is it if this type of service has additional waiting time.
Vegetarian options: Malabar roti and paneer curry Food
Good food but worst service. Had to wait 39 minutes just to order a drink when they are busy. Owner needs to hire more people during busy weekends.
The slowest staff Ive ever seen
Good food. Tried twice and it s a decent go-to place for meal. Vijaywada biryani and chicken 999 was good. Masala dosa was good as well. Food
Came in for a quick lunch alone and was treated great by the staff and kitchen. Had the butter chicken, garlic naan, and a yogurt drink. Would recommend them all.
I love this place and come as often as possible. I always order the butter chicken, the lamb rogan josh and the palak paneer. It is always a delicious mix.
We love this restaurant, everything is delicious, especially the butter chicken and the garlic naan. Highly recommended!!!
Worst place to order food. I placed an order and they said they take 30-45 minutes to make order.
My husband and I are so happy to have found Sitar! We love the curry, the staff are attentive/friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The malai kofta is the best! We will definitely be back!
We love the food, the service and the variety. One of the only places in the east side where you can get best of North Indian and South Indian food in one place. We recommend the dosas and all the curries.
Excellent restaurant! The service and staff was extremely professional and kind. And the flavors were bursting. We got the mango chicken curry and it might be my favorite curry ever!! We also got the ulavacharu gobi fry and it was what a fried cauliflower dish was always meant to be. Also get the mango lassi. You won t be sorry!! Go here and support this outstanding restaurant!
The food at this restaurant was fantastic! We ordered the Gongura Chicken Biryani, Mango Chicken Curry, and Ulavacharu Gobi. Everything was great and reasonably priced. The server was also very friendly and helped us with great suggestions.
Customer service is everything and they dropped the ball, food packaged together to save on their to go boxes isn t okay, if I m paying for two meals I want two boxes. Not to mention not utensils inside the to go bag.
Good Karampodi Chicken Fry and Thalapakatti biriyani. Right amount of spice and masala. Definitely recommend the restaurant.
Egg biryani was amazing. Tried the tandoori chicken and it was perfect. Loved it
Ghee Dosa, sambar and chutney gives the home feel of tamilnadu. Kids loved the butter chicken. After a long time had a tasty Egg kothu parotta
Great food, great service. Recommend. My favorite is Avakaya Biryani.
I am DoorDash driver so the time is very important for me. The restaurant was not very busy only 3 tables. At the time of pick up they told me that it will be ready in 10 minutes. So, if they do not prepare order in certain time why take my time? As a result it wasn t even 10 minutes it was 20 minutes. And this order was led 5$
We went for a family dinner and were extremely impressed by the service provided by Mohan and Saish. Needless to say, the food was excellent.
Very tasty food and great portions. We got paneer 65 biryani and vijaywada chicken biryani. Little wet biryani, not completely dry but lots of flavors and amazing masala. I havent had such soft paneer anywhere and seems like they may have made their own paneer as well! Masala lemonade is actually masala soda - very tasty sweet and salty. Lots of booths to sit and open ambience.
Our favorite Indian restaurant! We love the Paneer Tika Masala and the samosas. They are always quick to bring out the food and the seating is comfortable. Food : 5/5
Simple. Flavourful. Well priced. What else could you want?
One of the best Indian restaurants on the Eastside. Would request them to add baingan bharta to the menu. The salt was a bit on the low side for me but was easily adjusted by sprinkling on top.
Loved the food! Also ordered a green salad, it was surprisingly amazing and a fusion of Indian and American salad. Will visit again for sure.
The food was good, the Paneer Butter Masala was amazing. Samosas were also great,However, the service was bad. The guys made us wait almost 15 minutes without asking our orders, we even stand up and let them know we were ready to order and we still waited 10+ min. It wasn t crowded at all, just 2 families including us (3). The food was delicious but not enough for the service.
Came here for Mother s Day dinner. Our server was wonderful and attentive. The food was what you d expect from an Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is feeling a little bit like going to a store rather than a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. Bottled water for the table was a nice touch.
This is a very authentic south Indian restaurant , everything we tried was just perfect in taste, quality and quantity. Especially their dosa and schezwan noodles Will definitely visit again , Mohan was an amazing staff and took care of our special requests too.
We are fans of the chicken 999 here. The thalappakatti biriyani is also good. Good and fast service.
Food was really tasty and Service was also admirable. Our personal favourite is podi masala dosa
Best Vijayawada biryani in the US. Great service as well. We come here Everytime we crave biryani. As a bonus, the dosas here are amazing too.
Great north indian and south indian cuisine specially the Vijaywada chicken/paneer biryani and the Podi dosa. Our go-to place whenever the cravings kick in. The service and the portion is great!
Excellent food and nice people. I didnt appreciate the TV on, but it wasnt loud.
Great food, never had an issue. Good selection and prompt service.
Great thalapakatti biryani on weekends
We celebrated our anniversary here with our friends today. We were a party of 10 with 2 young kids. The food was delicious and the service was exceptionally good. The staff here were very accommodating and helped us with getting our group pictures, and catering to our needs- we enjoyed the experience and had a great time.
One of my favorite Indian place in Washington. Some favorites are kothu paratha, biryani, fish, chicken tandoor. Has a big menu and I have not been disappointed ordering any item till now.
Went here for lunch, party of 3. Fast service and good ambience. We ordered Goat Pepper Soup, 2 starters - Pepper Fish Fry and Pulayonam Shrimp and 1 chicken 65 biryani. Overall food was great. Soup and starters were exceptionally good. As close to authentic indian taste and the best i have eaten in Seattle East Side. Biryani was also quite good, portions are quite big as well. Overall we went in with no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Do give it a try for sure.
Had Chilli chicken as appetizer and butter chicken with garlic naan. Food was really tasty. Service was pretty fast and friendly staff. Will again be visiting here .
Vegetarian options: Tandoori roti is not good looking like is old Food
Great Indian restaurant with authentic food. Portion sizes are generous, but prices are a bit of the expensive side.
I told the waiter that I was a little concerned about spicy food, and he told me what to get. He was very patient with me and very kind. His suggestion was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back!
Nice waiter who helped interpret the menu. Had curry vegetable dish. Very delicious!
Ive been to India twice, and this is as good as any Indian food Ive had inside or outside of India. The diversity of the menu is impressive, particularly the biryanis, of which there are about 20 choices. If you have any questions, staff are good at describing the differences between the dishes and helping steer you to the right one. Spiciness levels ranges from very mild to quite hot, but they will tone down the spiciness if thats an issue for you. Besides the quality of the food, the service is fast, the portions are quite generous, and we always have another great meal the next day from the leftovers. The restaurant is never crowded, and I dont understand why, but its a great place for a leisurely meal. We eat here regularly, and have explored the menu widely: we have never regretted any of our choices.
Amazing Indian food and service quality. Lovely dine in vibe too, we usually have been doing take out
It s a clean place with a friendly and welcoming staff. The TV on the back wall showing Tom & Jerry cartoons seemed a bit strange, but was entertaining. The Samosas and naan were excellent, but the malai kofta and chicken tikka were the most flavorless Indian dishes we ve ever experienced. We requested spicy on both but they were mild as lunch buffet fare. I really hope we just experienced an off night, but will not be returning for another try.
Great food with many options for everyone.
Briyani tastes awesome. They make special Bai briyani for party orders, which is flavorful and authentic.
Great food, large portions, nice staff, friendly patrons, good Bollywood music.
Best Indian food in the Seattle area. This is our go-to spot for Indian. Everything is so delicious and the employees are so nice and friendly. Highly recommend!!
I got takeout so I can t vouch for the atmosphere other than the amazing smell when you first walk in! They were skimpy on the sauce for the samosas even when we asked for extra, otherwise 5 stars!
It was great experience. Masala DOsa was yummy superb. Clean environment . Great service. Thank you
THE BEST FOOD AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE .
These Indian people will rip you off on the non veg entrees. If you believe 2 to 4 VERY very small pieces of meat, full of onions and green peppers, in your $20 karahi is worth it, then eat here
Paneer Chettinad with garlic naan was a yum!
Stating the food will be ready at 6:30 for pick up and having a sit in the restaurant for 45 minutes after it s been paid for and it is still not ready and I m offering to cancel it instead of helping assist and get the order ready
Try their masala dosa!
Very nice food ! Should try their appteizer specifically chicken 999. Food
Wonder find! Tried Paneer Shahi Korma, delicious all the way, great with Garlic Naan, sufficient for two. Great host and ambience.
Good food and service. Loved chana chaat and hariyali paneer especially. Will come back again.
The food was incredible! Large portions, so I have leftovers to enjoy. I have a mild palate, and they catered to that. Today was my second visit in a week! Vegetarian options: Palek Paneer is fantastic!
Vegetarian options: Love the food and service there Food
I went to Sitar with my family of eight people, and we had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious, with a personal favorite of mine being the fried paneer. The service was extraordinarily fast and the servers were nice. We had tried to order after the kitchen was closing, but they had still made our final order. The Tom and Jerry on the tv was very entertaining. Overall this is a great experience. Check out Sitar.
The dining experience was so so disappointing; the chicken soup was among the worst Ive had, with the baby corn Manchurian overcooked on the outside and undercooked within, while the veg fried rice also bad. Never going back again.
My favorite Indian restaurant, Mayuri in Bellevue sadly went out of business. Since then , I ve tried a few others and thankfully we stumbled upon this place a few days ago. Highly recommend..excellent Chicken Tikka and my wife loved her Masala Dosa (most Indian restaurants do not offer this so she was happy).
This was our first visit here and there service is really nice and good and the food was really amazing.
Great experience, recommend the Tandoori Fish, Chicken Kadhai and garlic naan, the naan were very soft and fresh. Our Host Mohan was very nice and welcoming.
Today was the second time we ve been to this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and kind.!
Had a welcoming staff and food was also delicious. Tried the masala noodles, baby corn and veg biryani. Vegetarian options: Masala noodles was good
Came here yesterday with family for a birthday lunch and the food was fantastic. I had the vegetarian coconut curry and cheese naan. We have tried many different Indian restaurants and have been disappointed with how many overcook the naan to the point it tastes like a cracker, but Sitars naans are perfect. Soft and chewy in the middle, crunchy on the edges. The curry had a ton of flavor to it and just the right amount of heat. Will definitely be coming back as a regular!
We usually order their mix plate. It is excellent.
Very good food, spice level was good, the waiters were very friendly!
We had the chicken tikka and south Indian chicken dish with a side of nan, both dishes and naan were fantastic! The chicken tikka was the best Ive ever had and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place.
Giving 1 star just for the horrible service and experience. The food was good! We went there for dinner as a group of 6 people. We kept waiting for 10 minutes at our table and no one even bothered to give us water. We could see right away that they were handling take out orders as people were lining up for takeout. They had limited serving staff. Only two people handling serving the entire restaurant as well as taking care of take out orders. Anyway, the server comes and takes our order, and says that kitchen is busy and might take around 20-25 minutes for our food to arrive. We said it should be okay. But we waited for 45 minutes for our food to arrive. All this while seeing them push out take out orders non-stop. If you have limited staff, then maybe its better to prioritize dine-in over take out and stop taking takeout orders if your kitchen is so busy! We ordered hariyali paneer and the server kept it our table, without mentioning that the iron utensil it was served on was burning hot. My wife touched it unknowingly and got a first degree burn on her hand! The service and our experience was really horrible. Staff wasnt able to handle such a rush at all.
I went there on a Saturday night (around 8 pm). I am furious with the server who put the piping hot tandoori item on the extreme corner of the table without a disclaimer. I attempted to push it towards the center and my hand got burnt. I couldn t imagine if anybody would have grabbed that dish with a firm clutch. I didnt eat anything and was putting ice the entire time I was there. Due to their negligence, I suffered with a burning sensation the whole night. I still have a very prominent mark and have no clue whether it will ever vanish. So getting a 10% discount doesn t justify the situation at all.
Briyani was tasteful and aroma was so good Vegetarian options: Vijayawada paneer briyani was good Food : 5/5 |
First time here - Delicious meal, & outstanding service! Highly recommend! Well definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Several great vegetarian options.
Authentic indian food, we recommend it to everyone who would want yo eat the right balance of flavors of Indian spices loved it
We tried Sitar today and the food was amazing. Food was super flavorful and aromatic. Servers were super friendly and knoweldgable as well.
Super sweet employees and good food!
My wife and I LOVE Korma, and Punjabi Indian in general we recently moved to Kirkland and have been searching for our new favorite Indian restaurant. Sitar exceeded all our desires. Highly, highly recommended. Ask for the mint sauce with the garlic naan you won t be disappointed!
Really good north Indian food. All the curries were delicious. Great, friendly service
Amazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great, the staff is always so friendly and kind. Prices are fair for the portion size and quality is maintained. Its been 3years this is my favorite place for Indian food.
The food was amazing and the staff is very kind. The butter chicken and coconut curry were super good. We will be coming back!
Drivers beware ! I ve black listed this this place. DD orders never ready and always. 20min wait they say. You can use Para app to block this restaurant from giving you orders.
Staff was incredibly welcoming and sweet! We loved the food. We had the coconut curry, vindaloo, and paneer fried rice. Had the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We will definitely be coming back! Always support your local businesses
Biriyani was alright. The started were horrible. Unreasonably expensive for the quantity they provide.
Kotthu poratta was really nice hear and my kid enjoyed the egg noodle. Tandoori was juicy and tasty.
Really nice indian restaurant with great service. Has authentic indian dishes served hot to the table. Will definitely go again. One of the best in greater seattle area.
We generally get decent food from here. But today vijayvada biryani was way below expectations. It was obvious that it was few days old and reheated multiple times. Chicken was very very hard and super difficult to cut. Their paneer starter was also very stale.
I had a delightful dining experience at Sitar Restaurant; the food was exceptionally delicious! Sitar Restaurant surpassed my expectations with its delectable food and wonderful ambiance. Im eager to revisit Sitar Restaurant soon, given the fantastic experience I had!
My top 3 picks: Plain Dosa, Apollo Fish Biryani and Butter Chicken. I have been here for 5+ years. Once every 2 weeks or so. $65 we have 4 dishes. Where can you find such deal in Seattle area in 2023. Quote my girlfriend s reaction, everything is good, spices are good, portion are plenty, prices are towards low, and the Dosa and dip are the best! In Chinese,
We ordered 7 difference dishes and all were AMAZING! The service was fast and friendly. 10/10 definitely recommend!
Nice sized portions, food was well seasoned, good, timely service. We had South Indian food. The uttapam wasnt too thick, which I like. And the garden salad was especially good. Dietary restrictions: Lors of vegetarian, gluten-free dishes.
We ordered cut mirchi, gobi manchurian, methi matar malai, and butter chicken. Food was mouthwatering and delicious. Spice level was perfect for us. Along with that Naan, butter roti and Malabar paratha tasted amazing. Overall we could enjoy tasty, delicious food at this place.
Best Indian food I ve had since being to India. Great dosas and amazing paneer. Very kind staff as well.
Amazing experience! The butter chicken and the Malabar parotta are an absolute must. Amazing also the samosa, the dosa, the cheese naan, and the Tikka masala. I also loved the Carrot Halwa as a dessert. Everything in this menu is very tasty, and the people here are very nice and polite.
long wait
The service was so slow that my uber delivery guy would have delivered faster. I waited 1hr for 1biryani and 1 curry. I dont even care how the food taste, because of the service i am already disappointed. Super duper slow
Delightful, loved everything I tried! Looking forward to coming back and exploring the menu more. Server recommend combining the pori and cheese dosa and it was such a good call, just the right mix of creamy and spicy
Liked the ambient of their store. Would love to go again
Food is good. Garlic naan
Ordered fried rice, manchuria and noodles Tastes amazing and good spice level Food
It s been a while we had consistent service and food at an Indian restaurant in Eastside. We look forward to our visits at Sitar in Kirkland for the good food and quality of service. Mr. Mohan, thank you for your kindness and good food suggestions. I highly recommend their biryanis(Dum and Vijaywada style), Goat Roganjosh and Tandoori roti. We also appreciate their thoughtfulness with bottled water and clean facilities. Thanks Sitar team.
Meh .. i know first impression is not how it is supposed to be but naah !! The gobhi 65 sucked Paneer curry (paneer butter masala) was below avg The chicken makhani was below avg as well Goat curry was good .. . So, 3 for the food .. fair game PS - the curry names might not be exactly the same as the menu .. i didnt go back and refer .. rather resorted to the generic names
Great Indian food. And best rotis
Food is awesome, no doubt.
The food was really tasty !! We had vijaywada biryani and hariyali chicken and both of them were really good, especially the biryani ! The staff also offered us a complimentary chai :)
Favorite butter chicken in Washington! Gotta get it with garlic naan.
Amazing comfort food, been a regular for several years! Love the chicken saag, only place I order it at.
Me and my friends come here all the time to meet up and get some food and it is consistently delicious. Weve eaten through most of the menu but my favorite is the chicken biryani with cheese naan. I would also recommend trying their mango lassi if you want something sweet to drink.
Have tried Veg 65 biryani and Paneer Vijaywada biryani, really liked them
The best Indian food in the area, absolutely best customer service and delicious food. The most variety options just for biriyani and its delicious too. I will recommend everyone to go and try food in this restaurant.
The butter chicken is so good this is the spot!!!
Such a nice Indian restaurant! Weve gotten it delivered, take out, and dined it. Its been consistently excellent. The Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala are delicious. The veggie samosa and mulligatawany soup are amazing. The dough of the samosa is crispy and salty and wonderful and the soup has such depth of flavor. UPDATE: We tried the Goat Pepper soup recently and it was amazing! The meat was so tender and the broth was warm and very complimentary to the rest of the food. We also tried the cheese naan which was fantastic.
Looked for a place near our new apartment and we found this AMAZING place. Truly worth the price and you get really good portions. Coming from bothell to dine in
Very bad food.
One of the best Masala dosas in Seattle, very Authentic!!! Their mango lassi and plain lassi(though it was not in their menu, but they made it on request) was fresh, thick and creamy. Highly Recommended!!
Highly recommend this place!! Very tasty food!! Such a friendly and warm staff. We have also ordered in, catered from this restaurant and the service was amazing!! I am definitely going back here.
Everything was delicious, but the mutton biryani was the best Ive ever had in my life. The service is also fast and very friendly.
Great food, great service. Will go back again.
Taste is really good. We tried parotta salna and Vijayawada paneer briyani. Parotta Salna must try. Lot of options for vegetarians compared to other Indian restaurants. Atmosphere and service is also awesome.
The overall experience was nice. Good food with a balanced taste when it comes to spice and flavors. We ordered Paneer butter masala and Malai Kofta and both curries were tasty. We also liked their Samosas especially the mint chutney that comes with it. I think they can do better in atmosphere but not a deal breaker for us.
Gongura Paneer Biryani was great in taste. I would call it one of the best vegetarian biryanis in Kirkland. The paneer was cooked well and wasnt too spicy. Gobi 65 was not cooked very well. It has less salt and more oil and could be prepared better given the other dishes at Sitar are quite good in taste. The overall price is a little on the higher side though.
Amazing food, great atmosphere!
Excellent!
Beautiful is the word I would use to describe the flavors, the smell and taste of every dish our group had at Sitar. From the first bite to the last, it was authentic with every dish being prepared the traditional southern way. Our table was graced with the presence of the chef who walked us down the road of what we were eating, what spices were used and why foods were called what they are. A little culinary journey if you will So good! Had a blast and will definitely be back! Wheelchair accessibility: Ample room throughout the restaurant.
Fantastic food with great portions at affordable prices.
Solid Indian food on the Eastside.
This is the best Biryani that I have ever tasted in my entire life just loved it and my daughter and I keep waiting for the weekend to have it again. The service is great, you can t ask for anything more. Just love it.
Best food that we have had in a long time. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent Diwali buffet. Everything is so flavorful.
Delicious Diwali buffet
Wow I am so impressed with this place! They make everything fresh and you can tell they cook with love. My boyfriend is from England and we ve been trying so hard to find the best curry in Seattle, and we found it! You need to try this place. Also Vinod our server was excellent and so friendly! We will be back time and time again.
I would have gotten their take-outs even more than now if they hadnt kept the prices high! Food is great, very delicious and their chicken in curry or biryani form is absolutely brilliant. Everything is flavorful. That being said, their prices are high. $22 for takeout biryani is expensive and very close to fine dining prices. All of the curries also touch $20 or more. Those prices are fine if its a fine dining place. But this is a suburban joint with mostly takeouts and those should ideally be $4-$5 lower than their current prices.
We went here lunch on a weekday. We got seated quick and service was fast. Tried Parotta and Vijayawada paneer biryani. Food is rich of flavor and tastes good. Ambience complemented the dining experience.
Just had some amazing butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, and wonderful naan. My sister recommended this place on a Sunday night at 8pm we were happy to have great service and everything was made well and seasoned beautifully. The menu was simple and straightforward, prices were very reasonable. My dad and stepmom were worried things would be too spicy but they loved everything they got. We ate all we could and brought a little home for lunch tomorrow! Thanks for the wonderful dinner on a Sunday before closing. Now my wife and I get to fight over who gets to eat the leftovers on Monday!
too slow. It will take one hour for waiting food.
Great restaurant with great food. My recent visit for dinner was great. Had butter chicken and Manchurian appetizer.
So good. This food is delicious and 100% worth the price. Wonderful value.
My recent experience at Sitar Indian Cuisine left me deeply disappointed due to their disregard for specific dietary requirements, particularly regarding nut allergies. Despite clearly communicating my concerns about nuts when placing my order, the first dish served contained nuts, putting me at risk and creating a potentially life-threatening situation. The lack of attention to such a critical detail, especially when it involves allergens, is unacceptable and concerning. In the case of severe allergies, the consequences could be dire, and in my situation, it was only through sheer luck that we avoided a visit to the emergency room. Beyond the immediate safety concern, the overall dining experience was marred by this incident. The trust that patrons place in a restaurant to adhere to their dietary restrictions was shattered, and the enjoyment of the meal was overshadowed by anxiety. I strongly urge Sitar Indian Cuisine to take the safety of their customers more seriously, especially when it comes to food allergies. Clear communication about allergen-free options, rigorous training for the kitchen staff, and a thorough review of their processes for handling allergy-related requests are essential steps that must be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. It is my hope that this review serves as a cautionary note to others with dietary restrictions, emphasizing the importance of vigilance when dining at Sitar Indian Cuisine until they demonstrate a commitment to addressing and rectifying these serious concerns.
Very good food at a reasonable price. Spices were just right and portions were wonderful. Vegetarian options: Vegan options are plentiful.
We went here after seeing all the glorified reviews.... And were super confused. Food was mediocre, not much flavor. Portion was good. Restaurant is not pleasant at all. Really outdated seats and walls and everything. The dude that was supposed to be our waiter only welcomed and interacted with the guy with me although I was the one who paid, then theres all thank you thank you, super typically discriminative. Never going again.
The karampodi chicken was very good and might go back for that. But yeh butter chicken was too sweet for my liking. The service was fast and good.
Absolutely amazing food and great service
Lovely food, setting, music, and people!
