Cafe Juanita in Kirkland

Its pricey, so lets just acknowledge that right out the gate. Okay, have we done that? Phew. I went here for a paid work outing, but even still, even if i was stuck with the bill, I can tell this place is worth it. It was so memorable. We had various courses the chefs would prepare. In all cases, it was delicious. Portions are smaller, but its still a lot of food overall. The handmade pasta was honestly so delicate, it melted in your mouth. The fresh truffle on top of the risotto was absolutely packed with flavor. The Panna cotta dessert at the end was the best anyone had ever had at that table. Heck, I ordered the vegetarian food, and I could tell that I never got the short end of the stick there; it seemed like my dishes has EXTRA flavor that other dishes I sampled that other ordered. The wine selection and cocktails were ALSO fantastic. Very well stocked bar here. And endless sparkling water was really nice. Overall, youre going to get top quality flavors and textures. You WILL feel like youre eating at a high end, fancy restaurant. The way the servers present things to you, how they talk to you, it all makes you feel extra special. Its an outing youll remember, long after your wallet has been restocked. Its worth it. Vegetarian options: They have an entirely vegetarian or vegan menu options. Vegetarian menu was phenomenal.

Cafe Juanita is about as perfect a restaurant as you can find anywhere in this hemisphere. Great food, terrific presentation, and a skilled and friendly staff. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: We had a large party with a variety of dietary restrictions and all were accommodated without a hitch. Kid-friendliness: It s really not a kid type place. But one couple had a babysitter cancel at the last minute and they brought their 2 year old. The staff rolled with it and we had no problems at all.

Bad taste. We re were booked for six Saturday night but we had to cancel since two us had the flu. I called from my sick bed making sure they knew we had canceled. The gal on the phone said they had not. I told them I knew about the late cancellation fee, which I expected them to drop, since open table showed them fully booked and I could hear the ruckus of an already busy restaurant. However she still asked for my credit card and billed me for $300. I think I could hear her salivating on the phone!? I m asking myself why didn t we still go if we had to fork over three bills? It would have been very formal, me sneezing on everything.

Recently brought two friends here to celebrate their wedding and had a great time. Matthew and the team delivered an excellent experience and the food was great, especially the truffle amouse bouche. I will definitely consider Cafe Juanita for future celebrations. Parking: Valet service for $10

Love the dining experience and server. Our server is Kendra (if Im spelling right). She is the best! So energetic and welcoming. Her introduction made me feel her passion about food and wine that she was serving. Will definitely come back.

The food was just okay, but the service truly stood out thanks to Alejandro. He was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor elevated the service from good to great. Thanks to him, we left with a smile!

Food is really good and the portions were as expected. Our server did a great job and the team responded to our doubts in a proper manner, always ensuring we were enjoying our dinner. They were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions throughout the course, which made it better for us.

Excellent restaurant. If Seattle was Michelin-rated, they d surely have a star. We were in town for an event on Bainbridge Island and decided to try this restaurant out the evening prior. They offer various iterations of a tasting menu - including omnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan - with an optional wine pairing. We had the omnivore option with the standard wine pairing, which was wonderful. We also were pleased to see they allowed replacement courses to the standard menu - we substituted in the burrata for the second course and 2.5 oz of the A-5 Wagyu for the fourth course, both of which were excellent. Service was very attentive, personable, and well informed. Atmosphere was also very minimalist chic - reminded me of Napa or Sonoma. We had a perfect corner booth, which was ideal for conversation and an overall pleasant experience. For what it s worth, I did get a chuckle out of some of the reviews critiquing the restaurant for portion sizes - especially with photos of the amuse bouche and palate cleanser as evidence of said portions. It s an elevated tasting menu, folks, not the Golden Corral. As frequent flyers of myriad Michelin starred restaurants, we thought the portions were actually quite generous here - between the focaccia, amuse bouche, bread service, and palate cleanser, I was starting to fill up by the time the third/pasta course rolled around - with the entree and dessert still left to go! Overall, it was an stellar experience all around and we ll definitely go back. A hefty tag - about 1K for two people - but totally worth the splurge. As a visitor, just wish it was closer to the downtown area to spare us the 30 minute Uber ride!

An amazing experience. Fabulous serive and outstanding food.

Subtle, many courses with small portions nicely calculated that you eat enough. Nice service and personal. Fairly quiet. Really a place to recommend. Air conditioning was a bit high for me, I should have brought my jacket, but thats pretty much the only bad thing.

This was a perfect meal with excellent service. We ordered the pescatarian (halibut) and omnivore (venison loin) tasting menus, and I appreciate that I was able to substitute the tajarin pasta for the risotto so we could try both (hard to compare but theyre each great in their own way). I keep thinking about the wagyu croccante, which is a regular feature apparently.

Absolute treat.

Oscar was an amazing server. The food was incredible. We opted for the porcini risotto supplement, and it was legendarily good. The food in general was well plated, perfectly cooked, and the service is top-notch. Although I did not have the wine, my wife spoke highly of the sommeliers choices for the Classico wine pairing. I would 100% recommend for a special occasion meal.

We were looking forward to our dinner. Unfortunately, food was not that impressive, most of them appeared to be salty on that night. Overall experience is ok, but we wouldnt necessary want to come back.

I did not enjoy the food. It was not bad, but it just was not tasty. The descriptions are pretentious, there is overuse of truffle and edible flowers and edible gold leaf. Its one of those restaurants that cover up lack of imagination with fancy ingredients that add nothing to a dish. Gold leaf on food is the number 1 indicator of an out of touch chef. If this is the best the PNW has to offer, I see why Michelin avoids it. It doesnt hold a candle to even a 1 star NYC restaurant. I would not want to eat here again, even if someone else was to pay for it.

Was taken here for a birthday dinner and was NOT disappointed! Went to Canlis a couple months back and was a bit let down as weve eaten other tasting menus at various cities that were much better. Cafe Juanita blew Canlis out of the water! Valet parking, super fast service. Interior of the restaurant was lacking in decor, it was modern and clean and easy on the eyes but we really didnt see much personality in the place. We got seated at first in the back but was a bit too dark (couldnt read the menus lol getting old) and they were super accommodating and got us a table near a window instead. I think their sound system was messed up though as I only heard music in the bathroom & it was coming in and out haha. Our server was very friendly, the whole staff was very attentive. Dont think our water glasses went below the halfway mark the whole night haha. Food to be honest was impeccable. Im not going to describe in detail each dish as I think its more fun to go and experience it yourself, but we loved it. I was brought back to my childhood a few times throughout the meal and had many wow moments after taking a first bite. There are of course things I could probably nit pick but meh, overall was on par with some michelin star restaurants weve eaten at. Definitely recommend. Dietary restrictions: Not a good place to bring people who are gluten free. BUT they do have a vegetarian and vegan menu. Lots of seafood options.

We had an amazing dinner thanks to our server Linda. We had the vegetarian menu and sincerely enjoyed every dish. Linda went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our dinner and got to taste several different dishes. She made sure we enjoyed our drinks and insisted on replacing a drink I did not likely. Highly recommend.

Sophisticated menu, high quality ingredients, great service. Prices ss are insane. On the top of $205 menu, they added 4% for the kitchen.Ridiculous! Twp menu, two glasses of wine, cost $544 and we were still little bit hungry at the end of the meal, little food ok every dish. I wont be back and wont reconsident it.

So. This was awesome. I usually think these restaurants with the 5-courses and set menus and indecipherable foods/ingredients are pretentious, but this one actually has a good reason to be. I made a joke at the beginning of this dinner that I only respect an Italian restaurant if they bring out bread to the table, and guess what. They brought out bread! I chose the pescatarian menu and it was great. Started with a taster plate of soup/caviar cannoli/aged Parmesan and balsamic, then had raw yellowtail, bread, tajarin (angel hair sage pasta), endive salad, Seabream, blackberry thyme sorbet, passionfruit meringue, and then hazelnut ice cream affogato. I even probably forgot a few things in there, they just kept bringing food out. On top of all this, they had Charmin Ultrasoft in the bathroom. Unbelievable. That s how I know they cared about me. This is the place to go if you re looking for a fun and crazy food experience and you re deciding between this place and Canlis or some other of this genre of restaurant.

Delicious. Things I didn t believe that I liked before (lamb, caviar and cherry). I now have an understanding that prepared right they are delicious. You re not paying for food here. You are paying for a wonderful experience. If you are tired of the same food then you need to step out of your box and come here. You will not be disappointed. Move over, Canlis. This is the best restaurant in Seattle! Every bite was phenomenal, the wine pairing, service and ambience were all impeccable. Were so glad we came here and plan to be back over and over again.

Overall a great restaurant and amazing food. Apart from minor glitches in service and the fact that it is a small place so the seating is a bit cozy, I can t find another nit. I would make a controversial statement, I think the food is better than Canlis.

It was so great to walk by all the chefs and thank them for an amazing experience and delicious food ever! You must visit Cafe Juanita!

Very nice, open space. Fantastic service - really on point. And a delicious vegetarian tasting menu with lots of possible additions, alterations and ability to share variants. Super clever and tasty assortment of Italian inspired food.

We had a delicious meal following the fixed menu, which consisted of eight courses, as well as bread/crackers, a prosciutto amuse, and some chocolate truffles to finish. Some highlights included a yellowtail crudo, extremely tender octopus with bone marrow, foie gras with pineapple and cacao nibs, and pork shoulder.

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant; it was an absolutely fantastic experience. I proposed to my girlfriend on Valentines Day, and the staff went above and beyond to make it incredibly special. They were exceptionally accommodating, arranging everything seamlessly, from setting up a romantic atmosphere to recording the moment on video. They even surprised us by placing a will you marry me message crafted from chocolate on our dessert plates. Both my fiancée and I were thoroughly delighted with the entire experience. Third time visiting and was not disappointed. Giving it four stars based on our recent tasting menu experiences at Canlis and Altura (price comparable). Personally we felt the experience at Altura was more enjoyable and satisfying than Juanita (although Juanita did not charge an extra for truffles while Altura did). Our first two times at Juanita were more enjoyable (pre-pandemic ala carte menu).

Vegetarian options: Theres a dedicated vegetarian menu (same for vegan) Parking: Valet parking is available. Uber is also an option. Otherwise you can (probably?) find street parking within a couple minutes, but its not very convenient. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all, given the lack of kid food options and the desire for quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Great good, nice private location, and uniques dishes! Worth trying!

Cafe Juanita serves a well-refined tasting menu that makes it a local favorite. The food would probably be closest to progressive Italian with mostly local ingredients, but it s executed excellently. We start with A5 wagyu; the dish is a perfect display of such an excellent cut of meat. It s served on a thin crispy toast and a light layer of cheese that complements the immensely satisfying and marbling. There is a subtle oily aftertaste too and it s not overpowering. The jalapeño lime sauce is very light which is such a lovely balance without being interfering. The hand cut tajarin is very thin, making the pasta course less about pasta but more about the fusion of pasta and creme fraiche. The caviar is a very apt addition that dictates the flavors in its richness and complexity. The beet salad is one slice of beet topped with a cinder toffee like a honeycomb. A young lamb goat cheese is the diametric opposite, which has a lighter front but stronger aftertaste. The brodo is quite special: it is made from a fragrant chicken stock but infused with a subtle hint of parimigiano. The egg yolk, perhaps cured to be semi hardened, adds a much needed creaminess and yolkiness, almost too stark with the clear broth. The orange zest is a good add that is not too overpowering. The Iberico shoulder is prepared like beef, served medium rare and with a beef like jus, except the fatty parts are much more apparent at the cross sections to be chewier. The asparagus is some of the best I ve had, crisp and watery; the morels are juicy. The panna cotta is fairly light. It comes with sweet juicy strawberries and a side of wild honey, making the panna cotta more a side piece in flavors. The 25 year balsamic is sweet and deep, adding a characteristic twist to the flavors.

Amazing food! This restaurant is perfect for a special occasion. The menu is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. The meal is coursed out nicely so you never feel rushed.

Fantastic dinner, I had side effects related to radiation treatment which meant I couldnt eat hard food & Cafe Juanita went over and above to pick things in the menu or change it slightly so I could enjoy dinner with everyone else. Highly recommend, food and service was fantastic

This is not just dining this is an entire experience. Every single menu item prepared to perfection, wines paired perfectly, service couldn t have been more professional, courteous and welcoming. Our entire group is STILL talking about our meals. Cafe Juanita is one of those places we will compare all other to. The high mark!

Such an intimate dining experience. My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays with our husbands. Had a wonderful dinner and overall experience. I had the pescatarian menu and my husband had the omnivore so we could share. Although it s expensive, it s a nice dinner out for a special occasion.

Horrible staff, horrible environment

The first time I went there for my best friends birthday, it was amazing. The second time I went with my boyfriend for our anniversary, I was disappointed. The food wasnt nearly as good as the first time, which was weird because I assume its the same chef? The first day I went was December 27th, and the second time was March 7th. The server was good in March, but was phenomenal in December. Im kind of torn. For the money I expected it to be amazing every time, but this second time left me wanting. I had buyers remorse the second time.

Best restaurant in Seattle (with prices to match...)

Disappointing. We were excited to try this place as it s local to us - we ve not long moved to WA from the UK where, it turns out we were very spoiled by having several Michelin Starred restaurants within a 30 minutes drive. The service was good, Oscar was attentive and Alex the sommelier was very helpful. The highlight of the meal was the amuse bouche (specifically the canaille) but I m afraid it was down hill from there, courses were either over or under seasoned, the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Croccante was slimy and the main had a completely unnecessary element thrown in there - some anchovy stuffed pepper if I recall; even a mere slither of which obliterated the taste buds just before the adequately cooked and delicate veal. Frustrating. In summary, for the Michelin star prices we were expecting Michelin star quality food. We will not be returning.

Wonderful atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. A delightful prefix of modern Italian dishes. In house bread was delicious but important to piece yourself on as the bites keep coming. Would recommend the wine pairing which was well chosen for each course.

Haven t been to cafe Juanita since before the pandemic. I always liked it and expected a pricier meal, but was up for treating myself. While the food was good, the portions were ridiculously small. A dinner for two, with four drinks, cost $550.00 before tip, and I was not full. I will not return.

Food was amazing! Unique tastes, each paired with the next delectable bite. Servers are on point and know the menu items well. Friendly, diverse staff that all seemed like they enjoyed working there. Meal was timed nicely. Never felt rushed or neglected. The only ding I give it is that there are some tables with a window that looks into the parking lot. The atmosphere in that nook could come up a star, but I wouldnt let it keep me from visiting again. Vegetarian options: Our party was asked if we wished to see vegetarian or vegan menus, so I know there are options.

Had an amazing time celebrating my wifes 40th birthday at the chefs table. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top quality fine dining experience. I know we cant wait to come back! Thanks to Sarah and the whole Cafe Juanita crew for a wonderful evening!

The exceptional staff really stand out during a visit to Cafe Juanita. If you want to feel special this is your spot. The food was interesting. Not all of the dishes we re excellent, to me, but every dish was complex and often surprising in some way.

Simply a phenomenal experience! We were gifted a dinner here as a wedding gift and after months were finally able to find time to go. Our dinner left us at a loss for words. The quality of the food leaves one in awe at the craftsmanship of every bite while simultaneously is reminiscent of childhood flavors that spark favorable memories. The design of each dish was an art piece on a plate. Seeing the line cooks at work reminded me of watching a Ballet, each move and step seemingly choreographed. The servers were so friendly, when I talked with them it was as if I was conversing with a friend I hadnt seen in a long time. This is an indescribable and priceless experience... that does have a significant price tag. This dining experience in which you put aside cost and appreciate it for what it is, pure art and an experience rather than a dinner. -This is a wonderful place to go on a date night or to celebrate nearly anything. - Dress code is business casual on the website, I wore a nice dress and my husband wore a suit and did not stand out however we also saw people come in in jeans and button ups or t-shirts. In my opinion I would opt for nicer clothes but then again I love an excuse to play dress up. If I could give 10 stars I would, thank you to everyone at Cafe Juanita for making it such a lovely time!

Great food and service but mediocre ambience. It really kills the fun out of it. It s overall not really value for money. There are plenty of options in east side that would easily beat Junita cafe.

Beautiful restaurant, lovely decor and a cute view in the back of a little garden. Food was superb, don t pass on the rosemary focaccia! Service was out of this world, we had Sarah and she was friendly, conversational, and very attentive!

TERRIBLE dining ambiance, so loud you have to yell. I expected an intimate dinner, but the dining room is packed elbow to elbow. Dress code was a JOKE, people in jeans and sneakers. The table next to us had a 12 year old on her phone all night playing games loudly. Also, typically with tasting menus gratuity is included because it s an entire experience, here it felt like Olive Garden. $500 to be screaming across the table next to ripped jeans and a kid screaming on her phone? What a JOKE! NOTHING like the tasting menus I ve had before

Peak service and atmosphere for innovative and interesting takes on Italian American cuisine. Loved the omnivore tasting menu from start to finish. Several times we were blown away by the bread textures, flavor combinations, and pleasant additional dish surprises :) Recomending to our closest family and friends!

I m still so miffed by our wedding anniversary dinner we shared with our 3 grown kids and their partners that I don t ever want to go back. I think we paid $64 for water and the bubbly water was mostly flat. They did not alert us to the fact that there was a charge. The 7 that wanted still thought they were getting tap .

This is a restaurant to visit on special occasions. My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The food is delicious and the wine pairings are excellent. The customer service is excellent and they are so knowledgeable about the food and the region that any questions you have they can answer instantly. However, the price is commensurate with the excellent service: two people with wine pairings will cost you about $800. Valet parking is the only parking available.

Best Restaurant east of Seattle! Gorgeous food, great wine list, gracious service. I first dined here in the late 1980s, before Chef Holly Smith took over in 2000. Pre Fixe menus post-pandemic, outstanding wine list.

Came here for yet another experience in fine dining in the east side. I would definitely say they are one of my favorites in the greater seattle area based on the food, service, and ambiance. Our server Paul was very attentive and kind and really added to our experience at Cafe Juanita. The food was well seasoned, flavors paired together wonderfully, and was well balanced. Would definitely come back and would be one of my top choices to enjoy a nice course menu.

Wow. I always kept seeing Cafe Juanita suggested all the time on lists of restaurants for special occasions and romantic dinners but wasnt sure if I would be able to justify the cost. And while my wallet is certainly lighter, it was also an amazing experience and wonderful food and service. When given multiple choices per course my partner and I like to pick different ones to try and share. The staff at Cafe Juanita immediately offered to split every course and serve half to each of us so we didnt need to split it ourselves or trade plates. Which is a lot of extra work for so many courses that I really appreciated. The food itself was stellar and Im not sure where to begin or end except to say that the pasta was some of the best Ive had anywhere, inclusive of Italy. And we happened to overhear the table next to us gush to the waiter that out of all the fine dining restaurants they have gone to, they had never felt more seen as a vegetarian than here. I could go on more but if youve read this far you know the gist of it. A stellar restaurant and worthy of the praise you hear heaped on it. Patiently saving up for another chance to go. Vegetarian options: They have both a vegan and vegetarian tasting menu. Parking: Valet is 10 dollars and can be Venmo or added to the bill.

I cant say enough good things about this place and the food. Wow. From the rosemary focaccia to the Lamb caramelle and the service, everything was fantastic. Will be back, for sure. I also enjoy that the menu changes periodically. I, unfortunately, dont remember the name of our server, but she made delicious drinks and provided great service. Low key, elegant but with no fancy pants pretensions. Welcoming and comfortable. Oh, and the food? We both ordered from the omnivore menu. Each course was . . . hey, I could go all foodie on you but . . . really tasty.

The menu is amazing, but the space is cramped for such price point.

Cafe Juanita has become an end-of-year tradition for our circle of friends and it s a great way for us to create wonderful memories before the holidays. The food, service, and ambiance never disappoint!

While making reservations for my birthday, I inquired about how they dealt with allergies. <I am allergic to chicken, and one of my dear friends is allergic to green onions/chives>. Staff assured me they would be prepared and have alternatives for us labled so we could enjoy our meals. Upon arrival, we encountered an unprepared and snobish gaggle of hosts and waitstaff. They were unaccomodating and pretentious. No special menus were made available and they did not even know about or entertain our allergies. What we were able to finally order was nice food but undersized and insanely overpriced. The waitstaff even alluded it was our fault for not communicating clearly with the reservations desk, as I would not recognize gaslighting. What i would expect for a place charging that price would be one that was above the current quality demonstrated. I am beyond disappointed, and so were the rest of my party. We had somewhat high expectations for this restaurant based on the reviews and recommendations from our friends. The food and wine selection were good, although some dishes were over salted and had slightly off flavors. The presentation of each dish was excellent. The service was a bit inconsistent, with multiple servers attending to our table randomly. Overall, we enjoyed the evening, but we were disappointed with a few aspects.

One of the best dining experiences Ive had in the greater Seattle area. Attentive service, delicious food, and a nice but not stuffy atmosphere. I loved that they had a completely separate vegetarian/vegan tasting menu and the breads were very good as well. Friendly and above average service. Every course was divine, rich and appropriately sized for the entire meal. Black truffles tied throughout the meal. Would return in a heartbeat. Thoughtful somalier. Favorites: seafood, ravioli, pasta with caviar, porcini mousse.

Fine Italian inspired dining experience for those who are fans of small bite tasting menus or fancy a la cart menus. If you crave a huge tomahawk steak with double baked potato or big bowls of pasta with sauce this isnt the place. We have been going here for years with breaks in between but the quality, taste, and service have always been consistent. The price is high. Definitely a special occasion type place for us, we are also fans of pizza, burgers and tacos but sometimes you just need that special umph of flavor and creativity that is so worth the dressing up, paying extra and enjoying the experience of carefully curated dinner.

They offer a prefix menu, but they give you choices to accommodate diet restrictions. I am a meat eater, so the choice along those lines was geared to that preference. As such, every dish was delicious, presented well, and wonderfully flavorful. I cant wait to go back and see what the next prefix menu offers! I also appreciate that they have a reasonable corkage fee ($35), given the class of restaurant they are. It allows me to share my wonderful wine cellar with my friends even when were out at dinner.

Exquisite food and ambiance!

Superb - the simple name belies their innovative exquisite cuisine. Choose between omnivore, pesceterian, or vegan prix fixe menu (someone called it prefix on here - had to laugh) of 8 courses with optional wine pairings. Every course knocked it out of the park - taste, textures, and presentation. We were all very satisfied after 8 courses, big smiles on our faces. An incredible meal.

Special experience with very rich and fantastic food. The bread service is very unique, with many varieties and the Panna Cotta is so fluffy and light. Highlights were appetizers and desserts. The octopus was cooked to very soft, dont have to crew at all. Since the dinner is so rich, it might be better to skip lunch as we were very full at the end.

A feast for your eyes as well as your palate. We will be back!

The dinner was quite splendid. The staff was very professional and an overall very enjoyable evening. The food was quite delicious and had quite a mix of creativity and diversity. For the price point though, I would expect a bit more. The food & drink charges are quite high considered the location of the restaurant, the level of interior ambiance (you look out on a nice but simple garden area). I would choose to go back to a restaurant like Altura or Canlis than Cafe Juanita, where I think the food offering or at least the restaurant/views are superior

Best food and service in Washington!

Excellent food. I was hesitating in giving 4 stars just because of how loud the place is, you can hear every chatter in the restaurant. But the food was so good that it wasnt fair to do that.

Made a reservation a month ago and got called back 6 days before our reservation. saying they are not allow children under 5 to dine in . We have to canceled the reservation. So no comment on the food. Because we will never find out. I guess parents with toddler and don t have a baby sitter line up during Covid time don t deserve to eat here.

I always have high expectations of this place and they have NEVER failed to wow the socks off me! The food was phenomenal, service was excellent and the ambiance wonderful! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Best restaurant on the Eastside hands down. Beautifully crafted dishes as part of their tasting menu, and it will leave you full. Highlights were the breads, Ibierco pork, Squash Blossom, Caviar pasta, Salmon, and Panna Cotta. You can choose between Omnivore and Pescatarian tasting menus as well as add-ons if you wish. A5 Wagyu and Octopus were a couple options. We requested the outdoor patio and it all felt very special, they even have blankets and heaters if it gets too cold. Vegetarian options: They can modify their menus to be vegetarian. Parking: Valet available, or get lucky with nearby street parking.

Disappointing and pretentious. We had been looking forward to eating here, but there is only a tasting menu, no a la carte menu. In other words, tiny, rather overcrafted dishes. The proprietor was present, but made no attempt to welcome us, which at over $300 a head, would have been a nice gesture. Staff were friendly. Would we go back? No

Food and service was excellent!

The experience here surpassed my experiences with Michelin star restaurants in the Bay Area and New York. The food and wine pairing certainly did. We were there for five hours that felt both like a luxurious evening and hardly any time at all. The service was smooth and our server extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Every single course was excellent, with the vegetarian tasting menu as a stand-alone and stand-out set of plates raising the bar for how fine dining should establish vegetarian-friendly environments. The pescatarian menu was the best meal Ive had in more than a decade, perhaps surpassing my Blue Hill experience. But sampling the vegetarian plates had me preferring even some of those! I cannot come up with accurate superlatives for the food - it was just sublime. Vegetarian options: The chef offers a vegan and vegetarian tasting menus - the vegetarian tasting menu was so exceptional, I believe it rivalled or even surpassed the pescatarian and believe it would have surpassed the omnivore menu. Dietary restrictions: The tasting menu can be modified to accommodate dietary restrictions if mentioned when making the reservation.

All the food is great. Tasting menu has always something interesting and unusual. Replacement and vegan options give you more flexibility than typical tasting setup. Wine pairing is a bit too much on the sweet side to my liking, but far from bad. Stuff is always nice, well informed about the food and ready to help. The restaurant is quite expensive - its still worth given the quality, but the value for money feels lower than other high quality restaurants available in the Seattle area.

Memorable dining experience

SO DELICIOUS and the staff are all so sweet. AMAZING flavors, beautifully crafted dishes, gorgeous atmosphere, the wine was just perfect as well. Everything was well paced, even the pallet cleanser was delicious. The both of the rosè bottles we got were exactly what we wanted in a wine. Perfect fancy get away dinner date!

Had an exquisite dining experience here. We chose the Omni and vegetarian selections with som selected wine pairing and everything was delicious. I was VERY impressed with the pasta dishes, the meat preparation, the cocktails and the very unique and up and coming wine pairings that were somewhat unusual and also perfectly synced. The ambiance here is lovely with its clean, modern vibe that didn t compromise the incredible presentation of the courses. I wish the tables were smaller for a more romantic feel to be closer to my husband, but we had a lovely time. Kandra was great! Serving up excellence and attention to detail with a warm personality, helpful guidance and also really made this experience exceptional, without the pretense- which can be difficult task. We will definitely be coming back! I wish I could post photos but one thing I loved is truly disconnecting and enjoying a meal- I find it tacky to take photos of food, I could only admire and enjoy.

Great restaurant the food was very delicious. The service was also really great. Only downside is it felt slightly overpriced for the experience you get.

It was an experience...a good one.

My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful time enjoying a delicious and fun dinner in a great atmosphere. They have multiple tasting menus and allow for substitutions, and are open to splitting things for you. Overall, they were very accommodating and polite and fun. I would highly recommend it for any special occasion dinner.

I do not have a single complaint about my experience here. From the parking to being seated and the entire dining experience, it felt like a perfectly orchestrated symphony. Attentive without being overbearing and so courteous to all the requests (dish explanations, taking pictures for us) - even if we might have been on the rowdier side of the crowd that night. We even got a visit from Chef Holly! Every single dish of my pescatarian tasting menu was delectable. My group ordered two supplemental dishes as well. If I have any advice, it s to pace yourself and maybe don t go ham on the bread basket even though it s beautiful and delicious - you need to save room for later!! Also in case anyone was wondering about the dress code, people were dressed in slacks and nice sweaters but I also saw a guy in a flannel and baseball cap and he fit right in too! It s still the PNW after all. AND if anyone felt nervous about valet parking their car, please know that the valet did not bat an eye at my dirty 2012 Subaru Outback with two dogs in the backseat and the accompanying smells to boot. It s $10 that gets added to your bill and you can tip with cash or Venmo so don t stress about it like I did!

Café Juanita is a fantastic restaurant. The service was exceptional yet relaxed and the restaurant has cotemporary feel to it, yet managed to make you feel cozy. The tables are made from a tree that was felled on the property, and were as beautiful as the food consumed on them was tasty. We tried their tasting menu: The courses were all fantastic and some were sublimely good. Vegetarian options: Had a vegetarian tasting menu Parking: Great parking and optional valet parking.

Excellent food. Do the tasting. Wine pairing youre better off just getting a meh bottle of wine and enjoying the excellent food. The wine markup is nuts.

Visited Seattle from out of town and highly enjoyed my experience - definitely recommend visiting this Kirkland location outside of the city. Great ambiance, food, wine and amazing service. We tried both the omnivore and pescatarian prix fixe menus with wine pairing. Each course was delicious with good portion sizes, all using seasonal ingredients. The dishes were unique and interesting which kept each course more intriguing as the meal progressed. Carly was phenomenal explaining all the dishes and wine parings and walked us through additional a La cart items that paired perfectly with the menu that I m so happy we added. She went above and beyond to curate a great dining experience and the entire service staff was impeccable with attention to detail.
