Korean style fried chicken. Wings, Tenders and Teriyaki menus
Excellent place for Korean style fried chicken and other dishes. A small place that can get busy, so plan accordingly. We had the honey rice cakes, chicken strips and regular fried chicken, all were very good. Portions were also good. We got half sizes of the boneless and regular chicken and was more than enough for the 4 of us.
This is amazing chicken, the portion sizes are huge! The price might seem high but it’s totally worth it. They cook the chicken fresh, but it only took about 12 minutes. Staff is super polite. The chicken tenders came out as 5 giant pieces, the breading is perfectly crispy and there’s a spicy red sauce that kind of tastes like fry sauce with a pinch of cayenne pepper, very tasty. The sweet and spicy wings were exceptional although super messy, not too spicy, not too sweet, and yes a very generous portion. We will be back!
I recently ordered fried chicken wings from Kokio Chicken, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality. The chicken wings were overcooked, dry, and not juicy at all. To make matters worse, they tasted sour, which made me question whether the chicken was fresh or stored properly, especially on a hot day. On top of that, it was clear they didn’t clean the chicken wings properly before frying, as I could still see feathers on the surface of the wings. So disgusting! The quality has definitely gone downhill, and I won’t be returning. Very disappointing experience.
Absolutely amazing fried chicken. I haven't had better doubly fried chicken in the Greater Seattle area. I tried the spicy fried chicken and I was blown away. It definitely ended with teary eyes and a running nose. The place is not super big but I still recommend dining in. They also give a complimentary cabbage salad which was pretty good in my opinion. I probably wouldn't recommend their drinks - they are probably too sweet.
I absolutely loved my experience with Korean fried chicken! The flavors were out of this world perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spicy sauce had just the right kick, making every bite a delight. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. It's definitely my new favorite spot for Korean chicken in town!
Only giving them 2 ⭐️ for the location and convince. They use cheap chicken, HUGE pieces The spicy sauce isn’t even spicy it’s really sweet, I can’t even imagine how sweet the normal sauce must be! Iv had some really awful Korean chicken is has to be the WORST!! Also prices on google do not match the prices currently! Which is understandable due to location and high rents but atleast change them online! We only got a 8 piece order grateful we didn’t order more
Don't have too much expectation on the food. The best part of our order is the waffle fries. Maybe we should limit the fried chicken to wings or thighs. The mixed fried chicken had three piece of breast part that were very dry
Best spicy teriyaki I have ever had and the fried chicken im getting the whole one next time. It’s gonna be hard for me to go to another restaurant in Kirkland if I’m around the area
10/10 best Korean chicken and rice cake!
Something is wrong here. Boneless chicken was extremely dry, beef from the teriyaki was extremely tough. Overall had a very bad meal.
Amazing food, Great atmosphere, clean, great prices! Definitely coming back
This is my second time visiting this place. It was above average on my first visit, but this time... it was horrible. The chicken was extremely overcooked, making the meat very dry. The sauce had no flavor at all and wasn t coated evenly on the chicken. The servers were kind, and that s about the only positive part of this experience. Go try this place only if you are curious about my review.
Good
First time in, got the spicy chicken sandwich and it didn t disappoint. Perfectly breaded without being too much, great cabbage topping and sauce. Will be coming back for sure!
Extremely good food with nice variety. Not always full inside but lots of takeout and DoorDash Vegetarian options: There is a few vegetarian options. Vegetarian gyoza are good I think they have them vegetarian. Parking: Lots of parking spots surrounding restaurant Kid-friendliness: Lots of families dining Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accesible no stairs and space
The food was great and also the service!!!!!...will be back again
Best fried chicken in this area. Chicken is always hot, croquant, and fresh with radish, Yummy
Great service. Portions are big so relatively good value. Tasty!
Overcooked chicken, breading is crispy but oil tastes stale
Very good authentic Korean fried chicken. Good sauce options. I prefer original chicken with sauce on the side, but if you do that they dont give you enough sauce, so ask for extra,
Delicious fried chicken and great service! Thanks a ton to everyone here from the front of house to the back!
Great service, great chicken, huge amount of food. Will definitely come back!
Im not sure if they are the owners or managers running the restaurant, but they definitely need training in customer service! Its the worst service Ive experienced in any restaurant in downtown Kirkland. I went to pick up my order and found out that if I didn t tell them my name, I couldn t get my order. I had ordered on their website, which didn t ask for my name or phone number. When I arrived at the store to pick up my single order of boneless fried chicken, I showed them the page with my order. The server told me, If you don t have the name, I can t give you the order. I had my order confirmation page and details of what I ordered. Could they not just check all the pickup orders they had? It s a very simple and easy task. Every other restaurant will check orders for customers when they are unsure of the name, as long as the customer has the order confirmation page and details of the food. Is knowing the name really that important in this case? No wonder they don t have many customers and have some bad reviews on Google. It all makes sense! Please upgrade your service to match your prices (overpriced, expensive fried chicken).
Awesome fried chicken sandwhich with amazing rice cakes. Highly recommend the food here. Its quick and you can eat in or take away easy. Lots of parking near by so makes coming here easy.
SPOILED FOOD!!!
I drive up to kirkland on sundays (because parking is free from 9-1900) about an hour 15 mins to get this. Became a fan in California and this location is also phenomenal. Highly recommend jumbo bone in wings original and **hot crispy**
Spicier than you expect, but really delicious. Crispy, crunchy, but juicy and tender.
The boneless chicken was delicious but the pieces were too small. I wish they were a bit bigger.
So delicious
I feel the so called ramen here is just some instant noodles you can bought from anywhere or H mart, which worth two dollars, they add a few extra things, a few tiny slice of meat or something. Then they sell 15 or 16, crazy I am upset cause I have instant noodles a lot, and it taste exactly same as the cheap instant noodles what I cooked usually. From my experience I feel Koran restaurants are expensive for normal/lame things.so if you want to get a good treat, I d prefer somewhere else.
Teriyaki chicken was delicious, so was the coleslaw, I usually take one or two bites of coleslaw at other places, but I ate all of mine here. Our server was super nice too!
Excellent food! Some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had! Be aware that the kitchen apparently closes at 9:30pm even though it says theyre open until 10. Got a somewhat surly reception the first time we visited as were picking up take-out at 9:15pm thinking that they were open for another 45min. Wish it was more clearly communicated, as I hate being that guy who shows up right before close. (Used to work in restaurants myself) Still feel the attitude was uncalled for, thankfully the food made up for it. Will be returning, just at an earlier time.
The food is good! But don t trust the your order is ready emails; they re sent prematurely and you ll be waiting a while if you do
We stopped by to grab for my kid a regular French fries to go, I didn t have any expectations. Oh boy! It was delicious and my child had to share with me surprisingly great fries!
Disgusting
Great fried chicken and stir fried tofu with veggies. The spicy option/sauce is super spicy though. Fast service with a smile.
Someone is thinking about eating fried chicken every day, but there are very few really delicious fried chickens in Seattle. This restaurant seems to be good, so I saw an open house and drove here. The service was pretty good, but there were not enough staff. It took a long time to wait for the meal, about 20 minutes. I had half a piece of original fried chicken, a luncheon meat rice ball, and a salad. The chicken skin is very crispy and tastes bland, so many people add sauce to eat it. Personal taste is bland and the original flavor is just right. The deep-fried interior is unevenly layered. The fried chicken thighs are tender and juicy. I give it 100 points. However, the fried chicken breasts and other parts of the chicken are fried and dry. The products inside are not very stable. Of course, it s not as delicious as domestic KFC, but it s 100 times better than American KFC. If you want to eat fried chicken, you can still go for it. I ll try the sauce-coated chicken wings next time and share them again.
The spicy fried chicken is amazing. The fried chicken sandwich is so delicious as well. We got teriyaki and fried chicken and had to get a take-out order of the boneless chicken as well.
I love this place! Plenty of food, high quality and the gyoza is actually delicious. Most places I go to the gyoza is sad and flavorless but not at Kokkio! They are mostly known for their fried chicken but I havent tried it yet. I mainly get the spicy chicken dish and its so delicious not too spicy either. They had a recent remodel and its gotten a cute redo! I appreciate the Korean style dining experience and ample selection of beverages, they even have Korean staples such as Cass and Terra beer which is great to pair with the food. As someone who has an appreciation for Korean culture and food, this place reminds me of being back in Seoul with its delicious food and friendly service. The meals are also affordable and very satisfying. Give them a try next time youre in downtown Kirkland!
Best Korean fried chicken you can find on the east side! About 20 minutes wait for the fresh fried chicken on a Friday night but totally worth it!
Ordered a whole fried chicken, with spicy batter and the spicy sauce (korean yangnyeom sauce). Chicken was way overcooked leaving the meat tough and dry. It was so overcooked that I couldnt tell if the crunchy bites were overcooked meat or pieces of bone. The sauce was also not sweet or spicy, it didnt have much flavor to it, almost tasted like there was no sauce even though it was coating the chicken.
Fried chicken is very mediocre compared to any authentic Korean place.
We ve passed this place a few times and finally stopped by. We ordered the teriyaki chicken with gyoza and the chicken sandwich. Both were delicious! Friendly service as well. We will definitely be back
Best freaking teriyaki chicken I have ever had. Best gyosa even best fries. All cooked to perfection! Go get yourself some chicken now .
Best fried chicken in Kirkland! I came here several times, the food is tasty and price is reasonable, I prefer the boneless chicken over the bone-in chicken, and I would suggest to finish the food in one meal, because the food taste may become strange if you leave it to the second meal.
Always good food but needs better service - we ordered takeout in the restaurant, and went out for a quick walk and came back before our food is ready, waited for a couple more minutes just watching employees chit chatting while the order is actually already available on the counter (we saw it got put out by another back kitchen employee. It could take us more time waiting if not because of me asking where our order is.
Korean Chicken Place ... Good flavors that are different ...
Order 2 sets of wings. Original and garlic since they discontinued soy sauce. Also order rice cake. The wings were mostly drumlets and 2 wings. They are big. The batter has curry taste which I did not like. The garlic version was very dry. The rice cake was not good. It also had some curry taste. This is not Korean style. We end up throwing away most of the food. I would not recommend this place.
i ordered 64 chicken wings for a birthday party but when i got home there were only 3 wings and the rest are drumsticks, which no one wants, really dishonest restaurant
Chicken sandwich and sauced fry chicken taste pretty bad. Only the original battered fried chicken tastes ok except that there is only one wing and the rest are all thick chicken breast, not even thighs!
love it
Placed an order for pickup on New Years Eve and then my car broke down so I wasn t able to retrieve it. I called Kokio to cancel the order and they promptly did and refunded me my money. I then placed an order via Uber Eats and I m so glad I did! The chicken arrived hot, crispy, and delicious. The waffle fries had great flavor and the sauces were super tasty with the chicken! Great service and kind workers on the phone I hope to try the food in person soon!
Very good place to dine and enjoy a wonderful meal.
Amazing food. Chicken is perfectly crispy and juicy. Love the sweet and spicy in particular. Newly open!
Everything is delicious, thank you.
Chicken bussin fr ong no cap. Very juicy and tender, and that thing crispy as hell. Prob my favorite chicken establishment now, you gotta try the spicy rice cake stuff, soooo good
Best fried chicken I ve had. Very light and crispy outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Some people like a hard crunch, and this isn t it. It s a light, fluffy crisp and the best in the area. I d my qualms coming in and seeing only like 3 things on the menu. It took a little bit, and I suspect it s because they fried it fresh upon ordering. But, I was wowed by the chicken.
Fantastic fried chicken. They have a taste for everyones different likes. I personally liked the spicy fried chicken. My family liked the sweet and spicy chicken. Also had Dokboki, which was a first for me and will definitely have it again. Kokio is a must try, and I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a shot.
Friendly employee and very clean place. If you like spicy food, definitely check it out. I reccomend red rice cake and chicken tenders (if you like spicy) also, definitely try peach rice wine 15/10
Great fried chicken! Super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect balance. Very friendly staff and fast service! Totally recommended.
The staff is just amazingly friendly, love the people here, very informative and tried to help us with all of our questions. The food is fresh and very tasty, nothing is overcooked, the spiciness is a little more than I expected though! Try the tenders though!
Very friendly staff and good food. It was perfect place!!!!
Very delicious! The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The flavor is rich, and there are so many choices. If you like spicy food, try the Crisp Spicy flavor its sooo good! I would say this is the best Korean fried chicken in the neighborhood. Ive tried another Korean fried chicken place in Kirkland downtown, as well as the one in Totem Lake, but this one is way better than the other two. And the price is cheap 8 wings for $11, 5 tenders for $12 is a great value.
Oh my gosh! Im so~~~~~ooooowoo happy! Spicy chicken is the best!!! Im going to try yang yum chicken next time~
So good, you will need to taste them to see it is true.
Great staff. Great chicken. Amazing flavor. All in all would recommend.
Got the half and half boneless chicken, Sweet&Spicy and Cajun flavor. Chicken comes out to you hot and fresh and all taste fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive!
Became one of our favorite places. Highly recommend if you are looking for a genuine K-fried chicken place. Ttoekbbokki could be super hot, so make sure you ask for the spicy level!
I went in without high expectations, but it was delicious. The inside of the restaurant was mordern and comfortable. And facilities were clean. The chicken was very crispy. Compared to other chicken restaurants, the size of the chicken here was big. And the chicken meat was tender. The staff was friendly, and when I spilled my water cup, they smiled and removed it. The amount of food was large for the price, so our family of 4 could eat enough for a small amount of money. After eating, we walked for about 5 minutes and took a walk along the lakeside.
Very good chicken and decent prices. A good selection of sauces and a spicy thats actually spicy. I would like to see dipping sauces be more prominently featured on the menu, as Im a ranch fiend and must have it with my wings. The only real criticism I have is the menu is a little confusing. Sauces are listed on the left but each category of chicken also says original and spicy hot, and its not clear how youre intended to ask for different sauces for wings and tenders. Buffalo Wild Wings does their menu perfect, maybe take a few notes from that.
Great service very nice staffs awesome food quality were perfect!
Yummiest fried chicken weve ever had in the US. Tights are highly recommended!
I couldn t even wait for my meal to come fully out to write this review!! This place is amazing!! We got the honey rice cakes served to us first and I have never had something so yummy and fresh tasting! 100/10!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. The lobby is spotless!
The chicken here is very soft and tastes great. The staff is also quite friendly and I would highly recommend this restaurant for people looking for Korean style chicken
Got fried chicken sandwich w/ waffle fries and hot& spicy fried chicken. The fried chicken is good, spice level actually surprised me, wing size is huge. Originally was only looking to get a waffle fries, but it s $8 as a side and w/ sandwich is $13 so made a combo. Definitely not worth buying as a side only, the chicken sandwich is just two strips and it was cold!
Our new Korean fried chicken spot! The chicken, fries, and salad were all good. The chicken, especially, is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They have several different flavors too. The restaurant is bright and clean, and the owner is so chill, friendly, and kind. We will be back, thank you!
Good service
Delish! We got takeout, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The chicken was flavorful and moist without being greasy, and the sauces were tangy and flavorful. We also got dokboki, which is one of my favorite foods, and it was one of the best Ive every had. We will definitely go back soon! Only negative was that we tried to order online, and the ordering system did not work. We ended up calling in our order, which worked fine.
Just ate there got the chicken sandwich. I am very satisfied the sandwich and has vegetables with it and good sauce with it. Got the honey bee sauce for my waffle fries. Definitely go back there for lunch again the service was amazing too highly recommend it!
Great place to enjoy delicious korean style chicken!
Another Korean fried chicken place in Kirkland?! Always a good time. Tried this around when it first opened. It seems to be a chain from LA brought up here. Im always in search of good KFC that can stand up to the ones in LA. I can say for certain this place is delish for sure! The only thing I want is more selection of their sides as it states on their website for their other locations.
Ive purchased a total of 4 meals from this new eatery in Kirkland. Their Teriyaki sauce on chicken or beef is the best on the east side by far. Just had the beef teriyaki plate tonight just before game 6 of Warriors Vs. Kings and this brought me back in time to growing up in Hawaii. Sauce is done right, hint of ginger and just the right amount of sweet. Couple of days ago I tried the 3 piece fried chicken with waffle fries. You should know these guys cook to order and they source all of their locally, so your not getting fried chicken from a warmer. Great crunch, very juicy and tasty. Waffle fries were on point. If you live on the Eastside come visit this great new eatery.
Can t get their food out in order.
This place is a step above KFC. The service was poor at best. Was told it would be 15 min . Then turned into a 40 min wait. The amount we got was less then any other Korean Fried chicken place you would get any place else. You money would be better spent at Panda Express.
Wow .. just don t go. - food was all bones and the that did have meat . It was nothing there. - food was late - just poor overall. Hard pass
Moved here from the east coast/south, grew up near Buffalo. Have struggled to find a solid wing place in the 3 years Ive been here. Enter Kokio .. 5* on my first order. Looking forward to going back. Nice to have a legit fried chicken option!
My partner and I LOVE THIS PLACE! We are so spoiled to live within walking distance. The food is so fresh and delicious. We have only had takeout, however, the takeout is placed in vented boxes to ensure perfect, crispy goodness. He prefers more of the sweet style whereas I love the spice. The spicy chicken sando is my favorite, which is perfectly balanced with the cool slaw. Although we have never eaten at the bistro, the interior is always clean. Simply AMAZING, we are so happy to have this new neighborhood staple.
Best crispy chicken and fries I ever had !!! Burgers were huge with a good chunk of meat, and their garlic sauce was awesome. Great service as well!!
amazing fried chicken. love it
Very slow.
Most definitely not real Korean fried chicken. Simply awful. Avoid at all cost.
Excellent fried chicken wings. We tried the honeybee and the sweet&spicy, itll be hard trying anything else because these were so good. Wings were meaty with a crunchy outside, no extra dipping sauce needed. The waffle fries were also delicious. We will be back for the fish cakes next time! Update Edit: Still worth trying, its our new favorite KFC. The honeybee rice cake ended up being phenomenal! We enjoy walking around the area, its a pretty great spot.
Food: I ordered fried chicken /honeybee and sweet spicy sauce/. It was so delicious both. Also, honey rice cake is so delicious, crispy and little bit sweet. If you don t like spicy and like rice cake. It is good choice. Also, they have a lot of options for fried chicken, wings, tenders and sandwich. Waffle fries were so tasty. /with garlic sauce/ They said menu has updated today. Service: waiters are so kind and gave me free sauces Atmosphere: the playlists were so good and diversified/ trendy and old hit songs/. The environment was so clean. Decorating is amazing.
Great chicken, good price! The portions are huge, a half order of chicken was easily enough for 2 people. The staff were really nice too!
Great new place to eat Korean Fried Chicken in Kirkland.
Yumbo!
So, on the very first occasion I went it was actually quite amazing. They had large pieces of drumstick, and it was really well cooked and they really went out of the way to provide great customer service except they complained that one of our kids didn t want the salad inside the burger and when I requested on the side, it seemed to be a major pain for them. On the second occasion that we went, the drumsticks were under done and raw, and instead of actually going and cooking them properly, they came back with 2 drumsticks out of 6 refried and then gave smaller pieces of chicken instead of 4 more drumsticks. the owner was actually dining right there next to us, and he was justifying and making excuses as far as why they were not cooked, saying it was different sizes and not the same supplier etc. etc. But he forgot that I was there on the first time around and they actually did correct. So now I give a third opportunity to get this right and I go back and notice the drumsticks are off the menu and the reason I was given is apparently they take too long to cook. The chicken pieces that were available are a lot smaller and more expensive and mostly bone. It came out dry and the same server that was there that complained about having the salad on the side for the burger, ignored us and then came back with an attitude. We asked for knives but she bought us back spoons. She came back again with an attitude. It was absolutely horrendous service so we will never go back. I think it s important though to note that in the food industry, you need to really be mindful and very patient that you want to give people what they pay for and keep it consistent. so rather than cutting corners, make an effort to get your system of frying correct and offer what you did from the beginning. you re lucky you re in Kirkland because people pretty much eat anything and don t complain, which is a reason why we lack a lot of quality and consistency. And before you judge me, I have lived in Montreal, Melbourne, Australia and New York, and I know exactly what food is and I have worked in restaurants.
Not sure what the hype is about this place. It was a strange experience and the food was meh. We tried to walk in and the door was locked with people inside. They were just staring at us. We motioned for them to open the door and finally came over. We thought they were patrons because they didn t greet us or say anything. Turns out they were the staff. We got a table but the experience with the staff was strange. They didn t say hi, they didn t ask us anything just handed us the menu. The food came out and it was not good. It was dry, the wings had clumps of garlic and were over powering.
Great waffle fries, fried chicken depending on the sauce. Our order has cold pieces.
Juiciest Chicken !!! Excellent Service! Food
Crispy KFC
Delicious chicken!
The food was amazing and the server was very friendly. Getting a chance to talk to the owner it was great seeing them working the counter and keeping a eye on their business. Try there Korean special dish it s spicy but so vary good. I loved the friendly atmosphere too. I wish there was a bit more art on the wall but the guy just opened up two months ago so I am eager to see how he expands on his restaurant be it staying with a few really well made dishes or if he chooses to starve a wider audience. Either way I loved the meal and shall be coming again soon hungry for more amazing dishes.
Absolutely amazing! Some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had in my life. They said it was spicy and it was actually spicy , not mild like some other places out there. The portion sizes were also HUGE. And on top of that, prices were very reasonable, and I dare say, cheaper than the alternatives. I actually ended up going 2 days in a row because of how ed this place is. Couldnt recommend more highly!
Oh my god this was so amazing taken here as visiting best fried chicken I have ever had ! Spicy is spicy though the gyoza was the best I have had as well and the waffle fries oh my really anything is delicious I am sure and staff are amazing and kind Food
Nice restaurant with good prices and pretty quick service, also clean. Had the chicken sandwich which was pretty good but was made cold by all the vegetables on top so could have been better.
Spicy crispy fried chicken and waffle fries are very tasty!
Fantastic new spot in an excellent location. Restaurant has a great atmosphere. Very clean and inviting inside. Staff attentive and friendly. We ordered the chicken sandwiches which were fantastic. Fries and garlic dipping sauce were worth coming back for alone. Cant wait to go back here. Kid-friendliness: High chairs available.
The chicken sandwiches with fries are amazing and the ladies that were working today are so friendly. We will be back to try the rice cakes!
Delicious restaurant! It has local and Asian alcoholic drinks, very tasty and prepared quickly
I love this place. The chicken is excellent, just be aware that it s spicier than you might think it is.
This place is amazing and not too expensive, the service is good.
We ordered Kokio because we had it once at a friends house, and on that occasion it was delicious. We decided to order again today and it didnt go so well. We picked-up the food at the estimated time for or online order and it was already lukewarm to cold. Not cold by the time we got home - cold when we picked-up the food. The boneless wings reminded me of beef jerky, in terms of texture, temperature, and saltiness. If someone wanted to go to Kokio, I would recommend ordering at the restaurant and not online - you might have a better chance of getting fresh/hot food that way. I cant speak to the service or atmosphere as we ordered online.
Fantastic chicken sandwiches. Frenchy and flavorful. Staff is super nice. You can order ahead.
Had origins fried chicken after hiking. Yummy!
We had a terrible experience with the service at this restaurant. While we were waiting for our takeout, the waitress named Miggy(not sure if its her real name) displayed an incredibly poor attitude towards us. She consistently wore a scowl on her face and made disdainful facial expressions. Moreover, she seemed to mutter derogatory words under her breath while making these expressions, leaving us with a strong impression that she was insulting us. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and disrespectful. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, not subjected to such demeaning treatment. Miggys actions have greatly tarnished our dining experience and left us feeling deeply offended. I hope that the restaurant will investigate this incident thoroughly and take appropriate measures to rectify the situation. It is crucial that your establishment upholds a standard of respectful and inclusive service for all patrons.
Only had the chicken so far and its amazing! Nice and crispy, and there are great dipping sauces. Will return to try other things.
Best fried chicken as well as service. We happened to be in the area today and craved fried chicken. Decided to give them a try and after the 1st bite, we know we will now become their regular. Chicken meat was soft and hot on the inside, the outside was crunchy and had the perfect amount of flavor. We ordered to go but decided to sit down at their cute table outside to enjoy the sun shine and the waiter noticed us and brought us water! Amazing service. Thank you again! Will definitely be back!
Good place for Korean fried chicken! Decent flavoring and good portion sizes. Pieces were on the dry side but came at closing. Wish the chicken was on the wet side with the sauce rather than dry. I d come back to try another flavor and give them another chance.
Bonchon, get out the way! Kokio has an amazing vibe and amazing food. Their chicken comes our crispy, hot, juicy, and not downing in sauce (though dipping on the side is amazing). We were waiting outside, and even though we got it to go, it smelled too good, so we cracked open the box and couldnt help but devour it. The staff saw us and brought out cold water and cups! Killer service! I cant wait to come back!
Extremely Disappointed with the Unwelcoming Waiter My recent experience at Kokio Chicken Bistro left me incredibly disappointed due to the unprofessional behavior of one particular waiter. Despite arriving during their business hours and observing other customers enjoying their meals, the waiter rudely denied us the opportunity to dine in, claiming the restaurant was closed. It was evident that the restaurant was open, as there were other patrons being served at their tables. However, the waiters attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming, leaving us feeling ignored and disrespected. The lack of courtesy and customer service was truly disheartening, as we had been looking forward to trying their cuisine and enjoying a pleasant food experience. As a customer, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, the waiter failed to uphold this basic principle, which significantly marred what should have been an enjoyable evening. Such behavior is inexcusable and reflects poorly on the restaurants reputation. I hope that Kokio Chicken Bistro takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue promptly. I believe in giving second chances, but this experience has left me hesitant to return or recommend this establishment to others. Improved training and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service would go a long way in preventing similar incidents in the future. Overall, my experience at this place was overshadowed by the unprofessionalism of the waiter. I sincerely hope that they can rectify these issues to create a more welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all their patrons.
The fried chicken is CRISPY yet light, juicy on the inside, just right. A very fresh slaw is complimentary. The waffle fries were fantastic with that light crispiness, seasoning, and garlic dipping sauce. We added an order of stir-fried vegetables with tofu to round out the meal. The stir-fry has the breath of wok! The half and half bone in chicken has so many meaty pieces the four of us couldnt finish it. If you order the original, it is worth it to pay $1 to add a sauce on the side for dipping. If you order a sauce to mix in, the pieces are flavorful and still crispy. Friendly service, cool vibe, clean bathroom. (This is not fast food. Chicken takes a few minutes to cook. Expect that.) Highly recommended. Parking: While the place does not have its own parking lot, street parking are all around. On the weekends when it is really busy, park at the library and walk down a block.
Super delicious!
Feels more like American fried chicken than Korean but really good still!
It was my first visit to this newly opened shop in the Kìrkland area and the fried chicken was amazing. And spicy rice cake is so delicious as well! I loved it a lot. You must try these Korean-style fried chicken right away. I am sure you will like it. Thank you to the very kind and smiling staff.
Great place for some damn chicken, also their gyazo is killer!!
Good
This might be my favorite Korean fried chicken in the Seattle area.
Sweet Spicy Chicken and Dokbokki Fantastic. Very big portions and great service. Will definitely be back.
If you want Korean chicken, its the place for Downtown Kirkland. As always its pretty expensive but at the same time, its worth it. Chicken was large and juice.
The customer service is not good.
Ordered fried chicken and got box all with chicken wings
chrisp fresh, yummy but the spicy one is too spicy the meat inside is less salty Kid-friendliness: good for kid
I must say that when I have family in town from Atlanta I will bring them too Kokio there fried chicken is the absolute best that I have had since living here in Washington I have mentioned this place to several people. A matter of fact my daughter is stopping by today
I wish the honey rice cakes had more other things in the dish (or maybe a half size + half chicken combo) but they tasted great with the sightly sweet and spicy flavour
Very clean restaurant. Super friendly staff. Fresh quality food. We ordered the Chicken Yakisoba with a side of gyoza, soybean chicken wings with a side of radish, and tteokbokki with eggs (spicy rice cakes). Everything was so good. Huge portion. The chicken wings were flavorful and juicy. Highly recommend!!! We cant wait to come back.
I give it a 4.5 Wow, this place was super good. Never been here before. We found this place on a page on Instagram. Love the vibe, decent size spot, service was good as well. Menu was a good size, but it was still had to choose lol. Well today, I got yakisoba with gyoza. Also, order wings that were soy bean flavor. My lady got the spicy Tteokbokki. Omg, the food is yummy! Lol we got too full and had left overs. Overall, this place was really good. I recommend coming out and trying this spot. We plan to come back again to try other stuff :)
We had a half& half garlic, sweet& spicy chicken. Garlic chicken didnt taste garlicky that almost whole garlic paste wasnt mixed with a chicken and it looked quite uneatable.
The yakisoba beef stir fry was delicious, with just a touch of sweetness but plenty of chewy cabbage. The gyoza was also good, hot with a nice crunch.
Disappointing and expensive.
There are many delicious foods and I want to go there often.
I was so happy because of the delicious chicken, ramen, food, and great managers!
Chicken is really good!
The spicy crispy chicken lacked flavor though is very juicy. Honey crispy rice cake is a must that everyone shall try.
good food!!!!
Very friendly service, helpful and packaged my takeout with care. The food was excellent. Big portions.
Would recommend this place! When I went to go eat here with my family everyone enjoyed the food lot. Service was good and the servers were really nice + the atmosphere was amazing!
Sooo disappointed and speechless. I ordered wings and just got 8 drums. I wont say anything if I got at least 1-2, but 0
First time here , I decided to give it a try. Love the battered chicken wings, cooked fresh to order. Has great seasoning and the wings were big. Served with a complimentary cole slaw. I will definitely be back. Lady I spoke with ordered a seafood ramen that looked good, she said was also delicious with a little heat. I will maybe try that next. Restaurant very clean and staff was very friendly.
I m absolutely astonished by the amount of positive reviews from this restaurant. I visited this place for the first time given the reviews. However this is by far the worst Korean fried chicken place my friends and I have been to in Seattle for sure. We ordered bone-in half & half with soy and garlic flavors. They were both very salty and the soy one essentially showed up in near black color. The taste was more for American s taste, even the waitress acknowledged that. We asked for refund but they didn t allow that. They instead offer to replace with original flavor. The original didn t taste bad but the fried chicken itself is simply not Korean style. In addition, soju there is $15 a bottle, super overpriced. The service and atmosphere were really nice. No complaints about that at all. Overall I would rate a 2 star, as the service and atmosphere are great. The food is just not at all on par. If you re looking for authentic Korean fried chicken, this is the place to avoid at all cost.
The wings are super juicy, noodles were just ok, drenched in sauce that was a bit too salty.
Amazing chicken
Its kind and delicious. Its a store that I want to visit again.
It was just perfect Servers were friendly and clever, The place was so clean and I had the best chicken in this town Food
