What was once a tasty place to grab a quick bite for lunch or dinner has drastically gone down in quality and service. Tonight's wings and tenders were disgusting: chewy, slimy, clearly made with chicken past its best by date. My family was so disappointed after our first few bites we threw the entire order away. Other pieces of chicken had an off smell -- downright inedible. As others have mentioned, this location is barely staffed with more than one or at best two staff members. On a Friday night the sole (!) team member was rushing around doing his best. Service has always been good but clearly the owners or managers no longer care about the quality of the food or the wellness of their staff.
Honestly it’s kinda mid compared to the other Seoul bowls because there aren’t as many option when we went and the bullring was kinda run down. The food still tasted amazing but ingredients were kind of old. Would love to see a renovation here with more options like it’s Bellevue location.
TL;DR: As a chef friend said, "That's some scrap meat right there." So, I liked everything about Seoul Bowl from the service to the cleanliness to the décor. It was all great until I sat down to eat. Sure, I didn't like paying an extra $1.50 for japchae, but good fried glass noodles are a thing of beauty! These were not. Mostly, the real culprit for the terrible food was the boiled, old, and over-steamed bulgogi. It was disgusting. The aging meat, sitting for hours, had taken on the texture of a gritty, dissolving sponge with about as much flavor. Having eaten at plenty of Korean lunch shops with fresh bulgogi in steam trays, I know that a better product can sit for hours on end without tasting this bad. After a chat with several friends in Seattle, this seems to be the usual complaint about Seoul Bowl everywhere in town. The meat is BAD at every location, including their food truck. I don't get it. Bulgogi is not that hard to make right and keep warm. Anyway, the prices are average to a little expensive, but ultimately nothing excuses old and terrible steam tray beef. Skip Seoul Bowl.
Dropped by to grab a bite. The place is small, but it’s bright and chic. It’s a make-it-yourself kind of place. You pick what you want much like chipotle. It has a decent price to portion ratio. I enjoyed my bowl- it was flavorful, spicy, and hot. I added the noodles for an additional cost. Although it was good, I would recommend not doing a half and half with another base because you get significantly much less and for that price, you’re better off fully committing to the noodles instead of noodles AND rice. Parking is limited, but you can always park at the Safeway and walk over. It’s a good place to grab a quick bite. On another note, I thought it was fun that they also sell the plants that they have as decoration around the place.
I really thought I would enjoy it. I had the chicken sandwich that was over sauced and didn't taste anything else. The fries were bland. The wings were crispy but bland. It's probably my fault, I expected seasoning on fries and wings, to give flavors. But maybe they want you to buy dipping sauce. Fast food alternative at best.
Seoul Bowl reminds me of Chipotle, but better! This is my new go-to for bowls because I believe our market lacks a fast casual customizable bowl location. The Juanita location is newer, and it appears that the staff is still settling in, so be courteous during peak hours. I've been a few times and the Bulgogi Beef Bowl speaks for itself; it's just delicious. I was also taken aback by the large protein serving they provide! +1 in my book. The Korean Fried Chicken was also a family favorite! Keep in mind that this is a substantial portion. Since the fried food is made to order, be prepared and patient during busy hours. I didn't get the gentleman's name at the front counter, but he is a gracious host. He looks after you from the moment you walk in until you walk out. Don't be hesitant to ask questions; he was happy to answer mine because several of the ingredients were unfamiliar to me.
This was my first time having anything like a Seoul Bowl. I had BBQ chicken and for additional price I added the soy egg. This meal was just perfect for my late dinner. It was filling and satisfying. The gentleman at the counter was very polite and kind. He also helped with recommendations as everything looked so good. I am from out of town and am glad to have the opportunity to make it to the soft opening. The place overall was clean and inviting. Satisfied customer.
Fast casual Korean in Juanita. You can order online for pick up or at the counter. In the bowl, pick a base, pick a protein, fresh toppings, and top with sauce. Also has Korean chicken and Bulgogi fries. Plenty of seats and parking nearby or in Safeway parking lot. Super nice staff and I can’t wait to come back!
Their menu has improved so much since they first started. The burritos are a surprise and really good. Getting the fries with it was almost too much food
Kbbq on the go! Love this place. Always fresh and tasty. My favorite is the Korean fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce.
Seemed like old ingredients were used. The meat and noodles were salty and the flavor overall wasnt good.

whatever guy( I think his name is Ty) was working on 7/21 at 6pm is NASTY! The second we walked in the door he said I have 32 orders to make you have to use the kiosk. I explained I can t use the kiosk cause I don t get any protein options and he was nasty from start to finish complaining about his job and having to measure out exactly how much rice to give me and how much yum yum sauce to use. What kind of greeting is I have 32 orders to make ?? Management needs to fire him asap. Never had any issues with the other employees and he charged me more than they do when I ve been coming here a while so I know how much my order is. Honestly flabbergasted by his nastiness- quit if it s that terrible dude. I talked to Abby who is a manager and she mentioned she will talk to the owner about this. Hopefully Ty can go find a job that doesn t cause him to be a horrible human being to others
Food is great and I would like to eat here more often. The service issues have to do with lack of balance with technology. Tonight was the third time in 30 days that there are multiple customers waiting for someone to put an order into the kiosk while an employee stands there watching us with nothing to do. Can t we do both? Use the kiosk when available, otherwise take our order. I left tonight and am going across the street to a different restaurant.
Huge portion of food for $15.00, not bad in the economy. Parking: There is parking in front of buissness but exiting the parking lot is difficult if you are turning left. Kid-friendliness: Kids can be picky eaters, and this place has the staples kids love with a nug towards Korean food for the youngsters.

Really love the set up at this place! Could use a bit more topping selection but overall the food here was great for Korean Fast food. The guy up front loaded my bowls with meat(I got the bulgogi beef) which really made my husband happy. Definitely will come here again!
I saw their sign out of the corner of my eye in the Safeway parking lot and tried them on a whim. I brought home their 8 pc chicken, chicken sandwich and an amazing noodle bowl. Highly recommend! Give them a try and lets keep them in the area. We will definitely be back.

Hits right every time
Tried for the first time a couple days ago. Had to come back to try out other menu items. Absolutely hit the spot! Friendly service. In and out in no time. Will be coming back again in the near future!

Great place, fantastic, quick korean food at a very reasonable price. I had the spicy pork with the purple rice, radish, cucumber kimchi, and marinated onions. Paired with the spicy red sauce, it did not disappoint, it was actually spicy! Many times Chinese and some Korean restaurants make their dishes overly mild for westerners, but Seoul Bowl does not hold back on the spice!
Enjoyed the food truck so much! Generous and absolutely delicious! No wonder the line was so long! If I m ever back in this area, I would go out of my way to enjoy this food again!

It was interesting to try Korean food here. Pick your type of rice or noodles (base prices depending on what you pick), then protein (additional charge), add toppings (some at additional charge), and add sauces on top (additional charge). I was scared that the napkins and utensils would be an additional charge. 3 of us with drinks was a little over $70plus tip...steep for lunch. While the food was tasty, this model works for places like MOD Pizza or Chipotle where you arent nickel-and-dimed for everything....and this location has been a revolving door of eateries.

Seoul Bowl definitely hits the spot for something fast (and spicy if you want that!) and delicious. When they first opened, there were less sauce choices, but now they have their extra spicy yum yum sauce that I love! It s fun making a poke bowl type lunch, but with korean meat.

TL:DR - 7/10. Hard to parse because its good but not great. Take-home preferred. Clean, reasonably priced, and easy enough to make satisfying it falls short on the shores of excellence. The food is good yet the components are surprisingly bland. The service is fine but mechanically too distancing. The location is presentable but not welcoming. Small cost-saving choices make you unable to improve or adjust for betterment. Its like a food truck at a fair or a food court option. I would generally suggest it with a one-time caveat. Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetarian options abound. Parking: An awkward entrance/exit if you dont know the area. Park at Safeway and walk over.

First time here, was greeted nicely. Ordered a spicy pork bowl and a basket of fried chicken that was coated in a delicious soy/garlic sauce. The bowl itself was delicious with various toppings you can choose. The fried chicken was freshly fried and juicy, even better with the sauce. Will come again when Im in the area Parking: Plenty of parking.

This was my first time attempting to eat at Seoul Bowl, and I planned to try their Kimchi Fries. I drove there just for that actually, but found out they turn their fryers off at 8pm and only do bowls after 8pm, even though they close at 8:30pm. Very disappointing. (I just watched a hungry police officer walk in & walk out for the same reason.) I walked out too. This is a bad business practice; you are losing sales and customers.

Came to Seoul bowl for the first time in Kirkland. May 17 @ 330pm. The staff seemed like he didn t want to be there. Of course, it is a sunny day. Asked him about the $1 wing special. He told me it was for dine in only. Told him the sauces I wanted per 6 wings. He then told me that it s the original only. I responded that he should have told me that from the beginning. Then he mumbled something under his breathe, not sure what he said. But I thought it was incredibly rude. He was not happy to help me. I think he was annoyed that I came in. Pretty disappointed with the service esp since I ve heard great things about Seoul bowl. Hope it s better next time.

Love the concept! The fried chicken is real good and like the variety of banchan toppings. Just wish the bulgogi was saucier and had that delicious caramelized char like at actual KBBQ. But for the price and portion size it s one of the cheapest ways to have Korean food nowadays!
We ordered via Grubhub. The bulgogi bowl was ice cold even though it was delivered within 5 mins of pickup. The sauce on everything was not appetizing at all. Nice looking place but food is all but average
Order from kiosk, which is nice, easy app to use. (No tip option, which in these days of 15/20/30% tip requests, makes me want to remember to bring some cash! Food is incredibly fresh and tasty. Price is below $20 for a well packed bowl. This is our go to for healthy tasty depth. And...they have Excellent rate by state health dept.

New Korean restaurant in Juanita area, with a style similar to Chipotle where you pick a base, a protein, and assorted toppings. I went during their soft opening on 9/19/22 when they had a BOGO 50% off deal. I ordered two bulgogi bowls to-go with all the included toppings. The individual components were all fairly tasty, but it did feel a little different eating them all in the same bowl (even though its not a bibimbap) probably because the toppings could have all been banchan (side dishes) at a more conventional Korean restaurant. The bulgogi was tender but could be a bit more charred for my taste. Staff members were friendly and the restaurant was clean. It looks like they also serve Korean fried chicken, so I may have to return another time to try that out! Overall, a nice addition to the Juanita neighborhood! Vegetarian options: They offer tofu as a protein option. The toppings appear to be vegetarian as well. Parking: Plenty of parking.

My partner and I went in a quickly lunch and tried the new restaurant in town. A quick, quality Korean Street food with modern Seoul vibes (K-Pop vibes) We tried the Korean Friend Chicken Kalbi flavor and the chicken sandwich and it was so good!! I highly recommend to try them. Fun fact, this new food chain is locally own business. Really great to see new business growing like this.

Great food. Modern twist in traditional Korean dish bibimbap. Only reason I m giving 4 stars is they forgot one of the items of our order. We were all done eating and it still wasn t done until I went back to the counter then they started making it. They did offer free drinks because of this. When I go again we ll see how the service is.

Ok lets be REAL. My visit to seattle has been off when it comes to food. I came across this place and lets just say i had my lunch break here 3xs in 1 week! I love the food & the service is 5 . One of the best places i had so far in Washington. I even gotten my picky mom to enjoy the food.

Good beef bowl
I love this place! The food is amazing- we went in person which was worth it; staff was friendly & helped us build our bowls (explained spice level & flavors). Place was clean- nothing special but the food makes it incredible! The soy egg is worth the extra dollar!!!
