Gently love this restaurant! Food and service are excellent! I order vegetable fajitas and share it with my 3 y.o. That meal can be also vegan, just ignore cheese and sour cream. Pepino is my favorite drink. Restrooms are nice and clean. The only thing is I want to ask for is step stool for the children near the sink. That would be more convenient. It was cold inside, service was good, but food was NOT, not going there anymore, used to be pretty good, Iwe were at the one in Kirkland, so disappointed lately with restaurant food! Am cutting down on eating out, I make my food tasty, presentable, hot not warm..

Cactus Kirkland made my partner and I feel so special. We were visiting from out of town and this place was well worth trudging in the pouring rain. Super prompt and attentive service. Delicious food, I cleared my plate so quick! AMAZING mocktails (we ve never had such good mocktails, and my partner is hard to please with these!!). They were also especially thoughtful with it being our first time there! We will definitely be returning :)

One of our favorite restaurants for solid food and pricing in downtown Kirkland! We love to bring our dogs here too and sit outside. Drinks are great as well

Doordash is stealing customers tips and underpaying drivers, which will affect your customers. They are paying drivers $2 to $1 after charging customers $8 to $12 for delivery. They used to pay $3 for each delivery before tips. This will frustrate drivers and may result in damaged products or theft after they see their payment after drop-off. Uber has better pay, and Grubhub has better policies and better pay. Communicate with apps to improve conditions for the drivers you work with before drivers end up doing something regrettable that will hurt the community. Also, please dont make them wait too long. Will remove the post soon.

Super solid and consistent, it never amazes me the quality of their service and their food. They are improving with kids. The only con is they were burning some meat in the kitchen and ventilation wasnt good.

In from out of town great experience the server was very helpful and knew the menu well. The appetizer and entrees had great flavor we will definitely eat here again. Highly recommend this place.

Tortilla soup is horrible, it es very thick and the you can taste the canned tomato out of the soup, food is not at all Mexican taste, shrimp tacos flavor was ok, tortilla would disintegrate once you grave it , place has good atmosphere, service was average for a table restaurant, they have great location.

Easily my favorite restaurant in Washington. Perfectly authentic and delicious southwestern food, the seasonals are always amazing, the ingredients fresh, and the prices great. Every visit is amazing. My family with three little ones always feels welcome and well cared for. At our last visit our server Sydney was incredible, perfect service and great with the kids. Anyone who likes great food, great drinks, and a lovely experience should go here. p.s They are the most faithful Southwestern food in WA for those who are craving a New Mexico/Arizona experience. Kid-friendliness: We bring our noisy group of three kids here often and have NEVER felt like we were just relegated to the back corner (parents know what I am talking about). And on top of not feeling alienated, I feel welcomed. The kids menu also feels like they actually care, its not just nugs and burgers. They have kids BRISKET nachos for goodness sake, haha.

Yummy squash enchilada

We love Cactus for so many reasons. We love sitting at the bar, we love bringing family for the restaurant experience, and we love getting takeout on an evening where we just want to snuggle up in our pajamas and enjoy a delightful Cactus dinner! We are very fortunate to live within walking distance of Cactus in Kirkland!

Ordered a $20 southwest chopped salad to go. The flavors were fine and the gluten free options clearly marked, but I had no bacon, only 3 small peice of chicken, 10 pepitas, and no pico. Basically just a bunch of romaine and some slightly peppery balsamic. More like a $8 side salad than the $20 main course I expected. Left me hungry and disappointed. Would be 2 stars, but the menu was clearly marked for gluten free and the service was fast.

They have Negra Modelo on tap and you have to try the warm melty queso! Also you can sit on the patio with your dog. Kid-friendliness: My 7yo had a great time with our friendly server.

We enjoyed the atmosphere. Very nice place to hang out with friends. But the food is pretty standard.

I don t know what the deal is with this particular location but the service is pretty bad (and I m not someone who cares about how attentive the waitstaff is). The food was wasn t all bad but it did give me and my wife pretty bad food poisoning which I would have thought would be easily avoided since neither one of us ordered anything with meat or seafood in it.

As someone with celiacs, it was great to see a gluten free menu!

The receptionist are very rude . They said I wouldn t get table for 6 for another hour so I should not even get on the waitlist, let me walk out of the restaurant. They had table ready in like five minutes after I walked out when another family member went and enquired. I am not sure what changed in 5 mins .

Great food at a really decent price.

Saturday night running trough my Day . We went for a mojito and paloma because I did not see any of the Bartenders I know. I asked for my favorite steak salad. 30 minutes passed and no salad so the Bartender bowl guy no hair at all. Asked me have you get your salad I said no. He said let me ask the kitchen. He came back and said no one see the ticket in the kitchen and now the kitchen is closed can I get you chips and salsa instead. Well I said yes I need to have something to drink this drink . Im driving ok I did nor took Uber today .poor service I did not like it . He forgets everything 2 guys next to me they asked for 2 shots plus 2 beers and he forgot to add it . The place they neeed Cooper he was excellent Mgr. And great customer service. You all know me, I dont have to said my name to know whos writing this review. But today I was not happy with my experience at the restaurant.

cactus Kirkland is all that and a bag of chips. Minus the bag. It s a very busy and popular area so we were looking at an hour long wait but the bar is open seating so we walked over and found a barstool at the bar. An attentive staff member quickly brought over another barstool. Although the place was completely full of patrons, the food came out amazingly fast and the bartenders were on point and very attentive. Great experience. Vegetarian options: The butternut squash, enchiladas, and chili relleno are both outstanding.

Great food and a great atmosphere

The food is okay, nothing special, not a traditional Mexican, it is a American/Mexican food. I just dont recommend the tamales, they put salmon inside of it, and it is not a good combination, trust me. Ohh, ohhh, they charge 11$ for the guacamole, which is good but not 11$ good.

I just cant take the guilt and shame any more of my actions! After going to Cactus a few times and enjoying their incredibly delicious food. Their manager approached us everytime asking us if we have been there before and everytime I said nope, new to the area, bruh. After which the manager proceeded to give us complimentary Flan for dessert. The Flan was delicious and sent me through some animalistic craze like Smegol and the Ring of Power. I continue to live with the same and guilt of getting free Flan on 2 occasions and I confess to my crimes here hoping to be spared by God and the Universe for my actions. No one is perfect and everyday I attempt to be a better man.

Always consistent food even on busy days. Plenty options for vegetarians that are full of flavor, fulfilling, fresh, not too acidic like other places. My fav is corn quesadillas but many seasonal items are also good. I have not had a bad experience here over many years of visits.

Loved the food here, it was very flavorful and well seasoned. The hosts and waiters were very sweet as well, had an issue with another customer but the waitress handled it kindly and swiftly. Good beverage choices and tons of choices in case you don t want something so heavy.

Got extra drinks added to our bill. Fortunately we caught it in time.

Our delivery order was missing multiple components, which was disappointing after waiting over an hour for food. What kind of Mexican-Style restaurant forgets the chips alongside a party size tub of salsa? Dont order delivery or take-out, it seems they dont do quality checks or inventory on each order.

The Bellevue and Kirkland location of these are both very nice! However, this location is almost ALWAYS PACKED, like it s insane how crowded it is here anytime of the day. Anyway, I came here with a friend and we loved the food so much! Our server was very nice and had a lot of tables to deal with, but he managed to still do his job, so shoutout to him. Pricing is okay if you re dining alone, but with someone else, expect to pay a little more lol. Will def be back :)

Overall, great food and service. Our drinks could have been a tad colder or stiffer, but they were tasty.

Sidewalk seating was fun, food was vibrant and tasty! Our server Jacob was friendly and attentive. Vegetarian options: The casa salad was tasty and generous.

Food was ok, service was less than average for most restaurants, atmosphere wasn t great. Restaurants need to stop rushing their customers through like a herd of elephants. Dined on a hot 85 degree night and they choose to open their patio doors and let the A/C out (doubt it was even on). Won t be coming back here again. Overpriced food for what you get.

Have been coming to Cactus for over a decade! It s a staple, I would give the food 5 stars if it was more consistent in flavor and quality, it can be a hit or miss at times, but everything on the menu is tasty! Staff is great and I love the atmosphere at the Kirkland and Alki locations. I wouldn t say this is traditional Mexican but a great Tex Mex type restaurant! The Shrimp Tacos, Steak Salad, Queso and Burrita Lenera are a must!

Food, service and atmosphere are great. Our server, Kari Lee, was personable and attentive and very busy (restraunt packed with hour wait). We went with her recommendations of brisket burrito, chicken flautas and shrimp app. All were incredible; highly recommend! Outdoor seating and fair prices.

The only thing keeping me from giving this 5/5 is the price is maybe $5-10 higher than it should be, but everywhere is like that right now. Amazing food and you can take anyone here, your grandma or your coworker or your date.

First time at Cactus and we will definitely be back! Large menu including seasonal and brunch options. The staff were very attentive and helpful in making sure our group avoided certain dishes that could be cross-contaminated with shrimp (allergy). At the end they brought us a free flan to celebrate our first time at Cactus.
