The carne asada just hits different and the staff are very nice

Such a cute neighborhood restaurant with delicious food!! Especially their own specialities Even when they were so busy, the food came out really fast and hot! Agreed with the other reviewers that the parking is pretty tough. We went on a Friday night and I feel like after 7:30, parking eased up.

Wish the price was a little easier on the pocket book. $50 for two and I drank water. The service is friendly. The food is good but wish there was a salad or veg instead of rice or beans for an option.

We have come in a few times and the people are so wonderful! Such a family feel and they are so catering to our little ones. We recently came in for dinner. We had the steak fajitas and the enchiladas. So good and big portions. Haha! So we had some leftovers for second dinner. Not sorry about that! Staff checked in for refills on drinks, chips and salsa. They offered crayons on the kids menu for our kiddos. We were not lacking at all in our experience. We definitely recommend this spot for your Mexican food fix in the Kirkland area. Kid-friendliness: Staff was so nice to the kiddos. They have a kids menu in case they haven t developed a taste for Mexican food, yet. If they have, they have kid friendly portions. They offer coloring while waiting.

This place never disappoints. Its been here for many years and still going strong. They have all the usual plus some really good specialties. Among my faves are chili rellanos and chorizo burrito. Food

I ordered takeout mole. It was still frozen in spots. That was proof they just reheat the food.

Cute family restaurant. Have been several times and it s always excellent. The Fajitas Garcia is great. Molcajete is really good and fun (a crazy combo of every meat you can think of).

Amazing food

One of the best Mexican food places. Very good vegetarian options. I ordered the veggie quesadilla and it was the best I ever had. The vegetables were well seasoned and a good amount of cheese. The veggie to cheese ratio was perfect. Even the non vegetarian food was exceptional. A definite must visit.

The food was really good. I was sad they didnt have any langua.. The service was amazing. Main guy was super polite and super accommodating. I was doing some tree work nearby and he literally came and found me after my order was ready

Family owned. Small place, well decorated. Fun staff, everyone made eye contact and greeted us with a smile. We have a large family, and they were able to accommodate us in an intimate setting. Garcia fajitas is an epic choice and enough food for 2. The boys loved their burrito and enchiladas, and the Littles enjoyed tacos and quesadillas. Fun birthday fried ice-cream at the end as well! Delicious skinny margarita.

Restaurant was smaller than I expected but it makes things more quant and cozy. Lots of food for the lunch specials and it was so good! Service was great! This was my first time in the actual restaurant but I have frequented the mobile truck multiple times. Never disappoints! Parking: There is limited parking in front of the restaurant but it does open up more in the evening.

Just exactly what I like in a family Mexican joint. Genuine engaging service, solid food, and a great chip/salsa combo.

This is hands down our favorite Mexican place on the east side that isnt a food truck and Im only sorry I havent written them a glowing review sooner! The food is delicious with generous portions, and the lovely staff always takes excellent care of us.

This is my favorite Mexican place in the area. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. They have the best Mexican rice and refried beans of any Mexican place Ive been to. Their queso is also top notch. Ive never had a bad meal here, we come at least once a month. Parking: The parking out front can fill up but they have more parking available in the back.

A long time family favorite!!

Has been a neighborhood staple.

Only 1 star because the food is too expensive and the quality is not that good at all. My fries were brown and smelled like fish, I guess they don t change their oil very often and use the same oil to fry fish. My tacos were very wet and not good. The carne asada was not tender at all. The kitchen doesn t have good fans and hoods so inside the restaurant is very smelly. And, they charge $0.50 for each to go container, so they charged me $3 plus tax for 6 to go containers! That s ridiculous. And I believe their 4.6 star rating is fake.

This place ticks all the boxes, cant say enough good about it. Good quality food that is consistent these days is hard to find.

I liked Plaza Garcia because their refried beans were made authentically. Also, I liked the hot sauce. You have to ask for the hot, hot sauce. Kid-friendliness: We brought our kid and they were friendly

Our favorite Mexican joint!

The menu is very sneaky on prices. Buyers beware. Certain meats are more but not mentioned in an appropriate way. They served us rice and beans that we assumed would be included. Didnt ask if we wanted it. It was served and we were charged extra. We noticed the discrepancy and the waiter showed us the menu. Explained how we were charged, but did end up giving us a corrected bill. +shredded pork is 3 dollars extra good luck finding that on the menu. Very disappointed with the hidden costs. Been going to this restaurant fir decades and never had this problem before.

I slipped and fell because of my shoes and they were very quick to bring me some ice. They also were very attentive to our table of six. The food was delicious. There was enough left over to bring home to my husband. He really liked the leftovers as well. I give this restaurant A5 for all of the above.

This place is superb. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. The server took our order quickly and the owner even came to greet us. The food was absolutely delicious I ordered the Taquietos Rancheros and it was delicious, plated and served well. I also order a mango smoothie which they got to us quickly. The atmosphere was also great. They had wall art all over the restaurant which added to the ambiance. Overall HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking for Mexican or a family restaurant. Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is definitely kid friendly. The servers are wonderful and they have coloring pages for kids.

I love this restaurant so much I remembered it from going here when I first moved back to the city I had my dog with me and they were happy to accommodate us with him on the patio which was just so incredibly kind of them. I decided to spend my birthday there yesterday and the dog I had brought last time had tragically passed away and I had to get an emotional support German Shepherd, not only did they welcome her but they gave her her own bowl of water and plates And allowed her to join us for my extremely magical birthday dinner to which they brought us an extra big platter of food the amazing gentleman offered to sing to me for my birthday the hostess was absolutely beautiful inside and out I love this place so much it s incredibly special and their hearts are so incredibly big and obvious that they are some of the kindest brightest shining souls I have ever encountered. Thank you so much for making my sweet quiet little birthday so special and allowing me to celebrate it at a beautiful restaurant which by the way the food was so incredible I can t stop thinking about that fajita Garcia platter I have to come and get some more it was so so so so good forget about the food the food the ambience the location in the forest on the hill and the amazing staff! My birthday will forever be marked and remembered and such a special way thank you guys

Delicious, simple food with generous portions. Theyve been great in accomodating some unfortunate dietary restrictions I have. We just moved in nearby four days ago and weve gotten take-out here twice. Vegetarian options: Chile relleno is excellent. Dietary restrictions: I am limited to low-fodmap food. The menu is already fairly obvious (very few hidden ingredients) and they were happy to answer questions about ingredients and easily accommodated the one change I needed to make.

Parking: Small, tight parking hard to get in and out of Food

Good food But no drinks

Being from TX I had to satisfy my mexiacn food craving. I looked high and low...but could find nothing.. but from a distance I saw a Plaza Garcia express food truck. My heart skipped a beat as I got closer.. and I drooled a little when I saw that they had authentic Mexican food, especially burritos.. we ordered burritos de carne asada...quesadillas and churros. Let me tell you...this burrito is tied for first with my favorite from San Francisco mission district. The green and red salsa was exceptional.

Plaza Garcia is a great family-welcoming restaurant with great food and even better staff. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a Mexican place to eat.

We have only been here twice so far, but both times we have been impressed. The food is delicious and everyone from the hosts to the chefs to the servers are super friendly and accommodating. Try their hot salsa! Its so good. Its smoky, spicy and full of flavor. This is our new favorite spot!

Great place that I found to eat during the time I was in Seattle. The people who served at that time were very friendly. I hope it hasnt changed much. I congratulate them.

We had heard this small place is good and thought we give it a try. We were seated immediately on Friday afternoon. Friendly staff, quick service, good food and large portions.

Used to eat there all the time prior to covid. At the beginning I ordered an enchiladas meal , got home and they were flat due to nothing in them of substance. Did not go back until a week ago. Sat down to eat. Ordered a chimiconga meal and my friend ordered a faita meal. Both ordered steamed veggies. She asked for no onions. Had to return her meal due to onions. My meal, I ordered one chicken and one beef, both were chicken. The veggies in both were over cooked and mushy. It appears the chef does not know how to cook or read the orders. My opinion and I wont be back.

The chicken burrito was bland, salty and cold. It was only chicken. No beans, rice, or avocado; nothing but shredded chicken. The side of beans was watery. Worst meal Ive had in awhile.

This restaurant is a true family restaurant. Their Mexican food is really good and well prepared (ya gotta try the Piccadillo for your meat option. They also do perfect old fashioned Rellenos!) But what will bring the whole experience together is the staff. It seems like lately wherever we go out to eat, that the dining experience has become a very cold transaction between the customer and the staff- this is simply untrue with Plaza Garcia! The staff goes above and beyond in service and warmth. It feels like how it used to feel when you went out and they were happy to have you at their restaurant. You also gotta get onto their texting list as they offer incentives and discounts. Go enjoy Plaza Garcia for their great food and stay for the friendly atmosphere.

Perfect

This has been our favorite Mexican restaurant. We ve been regulars here over 10 years. The food is always great! They ve recently hiked up the prices, which I get, but kinda frustrated they are now charging us for the mini bean and cheese dip we ve always asked for to go with the chips. Plus, charging for the sliced avocado I get instead of guac. That comes with the meal.

Food was very delicious and big portions. Had the chimichangas, enchiladas, and queso fundido. I highly recommend the queso fundido with chorizo. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Parking: Limited parking, might be able to park in front of the other businesses

I came in today on a lunch date and ordered the Camarones à la Diabla in about 10 minutes in to eating my food. I started to inspect the shrimp and noticed that they were unclean, it still had feces inside the shrimp. To my surprise I flipped the same shrimp over and found a human eyelash just hanging on for dear life. I am mediately informed the waitress, and she apologizes and offers to get me anything else. I tell her no thank you and she proceeded to get the check. Few minutes later, the manager comes up and asked me if I was the one who found the hair in the food, and I said yes, and he proceeded to tell me well if I didn t see it, it didn t happen and last, then turn around and started converse seating with his regulars. Upon getting the check I noticed that we were still charged but 50% was taken off the bill. My plate was $20 and my lunch date paid for the meal. I think it was unprofessional the way the manager handled the situation, and I also think that the food should ve been taken off completely. Unfortunately, this will be my first and last time eating here.

And dont order the veggie tacos either, as you will get like 1lbs of refried beans and like barely anything else. I will NEVER go back to this place again.....
