Snug, locally owned fixture providing Neapolitan-style pies, calzones & salads in a casual setting.
We visited today with our 1.5-year-old child, and unfortunately, he accidentally broke a glass. To our surprise, the cost of the glass was added to our bill. Despite my husband requesting the bill in advance, the waitress didn’t bring it until after payment, seemingly to prompt us to leave a tip. This was a deeply disappointing experience—the first time we’ve encountered such poor service, where not only were we charged for a child breaking a glass, but the charge was also concealed until after payment.
The most flavorless pizza we’ve ever had. We got the chicken pesto and it tasted like bad water. The garlic cheese bread had no garlic flavor to it. Going to take the Pizazz home to doctor them up so that they they’ll actually taste good.
Excellent crust, good quality toppings that didn’t overwhelm the crust for a balanced pizza. More isn’t always better, especially when we’re talking about punchy ingredients. The pizzas at pizzaiolo are solid examples of pizza napolitana!
Super delicious I consider myself a calzone connoisseur having tried them from New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. Without a doubt this ranks in the top 5 for sure great tasting sauce plenty of cheese plus generous amounts of meats! After the first bite it was impossible to stop just so so very deliciously AWESOME!
Wow, what pizza! This truly felt like an out-of-Italy experience. The dough, the sauce and the wood firing was all amazing. Super attentive and genuine staff as well. What a great establishment, we will be returning (soon).
I drove 40 minutes to try these guys out after getting a craving for real pizza. It is a small business (literally and figuratively) connected to a few other establishments, and their sign isn't lit up, so you could easily miss it if you're not from the area. Inside, there is room for about 16-20 people comfortably. We went on a Friday around 6:30pm and it wasn't crazy busy. A lot of food delivery people were going in and out, and about 10 people dining in. We were able to place our order pretty quickly and were seated with a big glass container of water and 2 glasses. It only took about 20-25 minutes to get our pies. I got the Margherita, and my daughter got the Pepperoni. They were whole 12" wood-fired pizzas and cost about $19 each. I had very high expectations, but my initial reaction was that it was just better than average. But, after the 2nd and 3rd slice, I realized this was great pizza and probably the best I've had in Washington. The crust has a nice crisp to it, great color, and is delicious. The sauce is slightly sweet, and the mozzarella was perfect, not rubbery at all. The pepperoni on my daughter's pizza tasted fresh and wasn't greasy. Each pie had 6 slices. We each ate 3 of our own, and one of the other's. You can tell food is good and fresh ingredients are used when you are full, but don't feel weighed-down and gross. We wanted to eat more but decided to take the rest home for left-overs. We both had our other 2 slices within 15 minutes of getting back. They are a little more expensive than chain-pizza places, and they are a bit far from us, so this might be a once-in-a-while treat, but they are VERY good and definitely worth it.
Easily the best Pizza I have had in Washington. Crust is insanely good, best I’ve had since Italy. Sat down after ordering and pizza came out within five minutes. Their wood fired oven is front and center and a beautiful sight to see.
Wonderful wood fired pizza The place has ample parking and it was great to try them on a frosty night! They have a great selection of vegetarian items on their menu We tried the vegetarian and Margarita pizza and they both were delish! The vegetarian pizza was filled with yummy toppings. The pizza's were thin, chewy and had a wonderful charred taste. It was so good! The portion size was good- we took 2 small for a group of 3. I saw large on a few tables and it was definitely LARGE! We also tried the Caesar salad and Tiramisu- it was okay. Having read the great reviews for the dessert, I was expecting it to be amazing but it was meh! Great pizza place !! I definitely want to try other vegetarian options on the menu
Excellent!!!! Highly recommend.
Incredible pizza and atmosphere!
Great pizza, not oily at all, wood fried. Lovely vibes and great varieties.
Bad service
tastes just like italy , closest to italian traditional pizza
My family and I have been going here for almost a decade. Consistent service, fantastic delicious food and very friendly. Highly recommend!
$40 for a large pizza that was not very good lets just put it that way they burnt what little cheese was on the pizza and I even ordered extra cheese
Great place, pizza was the best, it wasn t overcooked or undercooked crust was thin and fluffy. Overall, workers were fast and kind. Brings me back to Italy. I recommend it!
My favorite for pizza. Also they have other Italian dishes. One of my regular places to eat out. Food
Ordered a Margherita. Perfect crust, tasty sauce, and the right amount of cheese.
It s a trash, not even just a regular pizza, not worth the price. We ordered 3 different kinds of pizza and all of them was meh(
Very tasty, will be back. We had the pepperoni and Sofia *chefs kiss*
Good food just a little small
Food and vibe is great. We tried veg pizza and calzone and both were very nice.
This is by far my favorite pizza place, Ive tried most of the menu at this point and wouldnt hesitate to order any of them again. Im always impressed by the unique and interesting combinations on the menu, and the food is always consistently amazing!
This is, without any doubt, the best pizza Ive ever had (just behind Italy). Ive tried almost all of the options and every single one is fantastic! Totally recommended please! Awesome calm atmosphere. Try the Bietole salad! You wont regret it! (unless youre allergic to pistachios ).
Me like pizza
Blows the pizza place next door away! Best pizza in Kirkland by a mile!
Really really good pizza excellent highly recommend
Very similar to an Italian pizza
Delicious pizza and kind staff. I got the pizzaiolo and my husband got the Margarita. It was our first time dining here since we were in the area and it seems like a very popular spot.
Your restaurant is the best in Washington State !!! Thank you so much for awesome Italian pizza ! Finally I found the most TASTY pizza in America
Thin crust. One of our fave. Neighborhood pizza places
An unsuspecting little spot in an older strip mall - the pizza and salads did not disappoint! I live in Vancouver, BC and am not sure when I will be in this area again, but if I am...I will be coming back here. Fantastic food and a must try for pizza-lovers.
Ordered a Calabrese for pick up, grabbed it, drove home, opened it, and found nothing but red sauce and cheese. Basic customer service skills. Hungry... upset....and out the money I paid for two days. #merica
Dined in with family for lunch. Ordered Sofia and Bianca pizzas. Both were really good. The crust is thin, crispy on the edges. The toppings were in right proportions. The taste was really good. Service is very hospitable. Ambience is good too, very clean. It s a must try.
Delicious and very well kept place. Try the Sofia!
This is my personal go-to pizza place and everyone is always delighted and raves about the delicious food. I usually pick up but requested delivery from company Ive never tried before for a small gathering. When guests arrived and the food hadnt, I sent my kids to pick it up. Then, a woman called from the restaurant indicating they couldnt give me cold food and were remaking everything at no cost. Thank you! My guests were delighted with the food and it was a great as my kids and I always are pleased to enjoy. We have many favorites but the salmon is a unique favorite and the canoli is always a hit. Vegetarian options: Excellent pizza, salad and of course, desserts.
Loved the margherita and vegetarian pizza. You should definitely give it a try.
I really like this tiny place set in a strip mall. The service is always excellent, they make a good wood fired pizza, and they have great beers and wines.
Food is incredible, staff is very friendly , and the service was great! Highly recommended
Its literally the best wood fire pizza I have ever had! The pear gorganzola was surprisingly excellent. I thought it would be sweet and desert like but it was not. We had that and the Di Carne, which I thought was exceptional as well, and I thought that would be the one we liked the best. But the pear was the winner. I cannotwait to go back and try the others!
Vegetarian options: Delicious pizza. Very accommodating. Friendly service. Pizza always walking out the door. Great salads and dressings. Food
The food was good but it s overpriced for what you get. I ordered 2 large pizzas and a small Caesar salad and the total was 82$ (before tip). There was a Kirkland tax 10.2% which I m not sure why this was applied on the bill.
Romantic lighting. Perfect for a low cost date. Even the lighting in the kitchen is romantic.
Friendly staff. Food is pretty nice, also love the tiramisu!
A little bit more oil than I expected
The pizza is good. The price increases since they opened arent! Our large pizza for 2 was fine, but a Margherita pizza should have the basil taste not one piece per slice. Our 2 pieces of leftover pizza didnt stand up for reheating, so wasted. Draft beer needed to be colder and the pour needed help, dont mix the spoons when you remove the head.
Yummy! You know a place is great when about 20 customers pick up their takeout orders while Im waiting for mine. I saw locals come in, sit down, and were immediately greeted with their customary drinks and appetizer. How cool is that! We had a 1/2 veggie and 1/2 smoked salmon pizza. Both sides were delicious! Definitely coming back here!!!
Wow! What an amazing Woodfire pizza. My friends have been telling me about this place, and I finally had the opportunity to try it. I was impressed with the high quality ingredients, and how quick the wood fire pizza was done. I highly recommend Pizzaiolo wood fired pizza.
Parking: Parking lot is cramped with so many businesses, but doable.
Great small pizza place.
The best Tiramisu we had in a while. The Margherita pizza was delicious as well. Everyone serving is very friendly and would visit again to try something new.
Full disclosure, we got pizza to go. The experience might be better eating there. Pizza was good but nothing spectacular. Pepperoni was well topped with good flavor. It just wasnt magical. The place itself is dark and moody but not a special date night kind of place. Service was really nice but we just got pizza to go.
Amazing pizza and best tiramisu I have ever had!
Delicious. Hands down. Walked in and it smelled like marinara sauce - so good. We got breadsticks, Calabrese pizza, and a meat lovers Calzone... Im still drooling. The service was great, with kind employees. Will return to try other menu options.
This is the greatest little gem in Kirkland! The people were wonderful and the food was top notch amazing!! I had a meatlovers calzone, and it was the best one Ive had! My sister had a pizza (I forgot the name of, it started with a C), but she also said it was the best! Oh, we started it all with some bomb AF garlic cheeseyyyy bread!! And I typically dont like marinara, but I loved theirs! Parking: We happened to hit there at a great time! Its in a little strip mall with a few other restaurants and stores
Great taste, well priced, happy & friendly staff!
we really like the pizza here, they are fresh and tasty! the salad is amazing as well;! we go here once a month for sure and the servers are really sweet! highly recommended, a lil pricey tho, but worth it
Great wood fired pizza Parking: Narrow spaces Food : 4/5 |
Not great for to go. Pricy for average pizza. I liked the calzone better. Caesar Salad was pricy and not very flavorful.
Love this little place! Delicious, organic ingredients make for superb pizzas! Kind staff, homey atmosphere. Highly recommend for pizza on the Eastside.
Margarita pizza extra sauce. Amazing
Mr. David s favorite pizza place. Love the people. Love the pizza.
Great food, great service. Parking: its parking. park evenly between the lines. Food : 5/5 |
Really great wood fire pizza. Some of the best weve had in Washington. The prices were a bit high, but compared to cheaper alternatives, the taste was worth it. Its definitely more of a special occasion pie versus a watch the game choice.
It was okay.
Amazing food for a decent price with a great ambiance, what more could you want
Great local eatery. Such nice staff and the wood fired pizza was top notch. Parking: Parking in front and behind the building Food : 5/5 |
3 strikes and you re out. Lived in the neighborhood for 2 years. Went there when we first moved and the staff were so rude we left before ordering. Ate there the 2nd time, pizza decent, staff luke warm and cost over priced. Called to order for 3rd time just now and when I was taking too long to order got told to look at the menu and call back cause they are busy. So I ordered Pagliacci instead and called back to complain and the different person who answered, hung up on me. Wont ever go here again and you shouldn t either. Go to Pagliacci down the street, you get more for your buck. I like the pizza better too!
Best Pizza in Washington!
This place and Deru are the best pizza places in Kirkland, other that Pizzeria La Rocca probably the best in Washington too!! The Buffalo Mozzarella Margherita was almost perfect!!!+
Unlikely good pizza from a wood fired oven. Unfussy little place in a strip mall with extremely friendly and smiling staff. Good for both take out and eat in. Recommended dishes Pizza Margherita
Its a good local wood fired pizza, but not authentic Italian neapolitan pizza. The dough, sauce, and cheese just dont have the flavor that quality ingredients should have. Mine came dry without a drop of olive oil .
One of the best pizza places in the area .. very glad we tried it. Awesome wood fired crust and tasty topping combinations. Will be making this our preferred pizza place going forward.
Love their pizzas!
Delicious pizza! Very clean restaurant, great staff. Definitely coming again!
Love this pizza, best in Kirkland! Vegetarian options: Not vegetarian, per se, but meatless options nice to have. I get the veggie calzone and love it!! Food : 5/5 |
Very delicious pizza, probably the best in the area
Amazing pizza! And even better service!! Beer is really good too
Best pizza in the 46 years I have lived in WA!
The price doesn t match the quality/quantity of the food. It s decent but not my first pick. We got a large Caprese thinking it would significantly larger for $9 more but it was not. A little misleading from the readers view. The pizza was okay but again didn t match the price and was pretty dry.
The salads are really good and so is the service. Pizza is decent. Seems like they use quality ingredients. Ill definitely go back.
Perfect thin crust pizza!
Pizzaiolo is a great pizza place! We got the Sofia pizza, Margherita pizza, and a tiramisu. The pizzas were so thin yet also chewy! And you could really taste the tomato in the sauce. The tiramisu was also so delicious and not too sweet! I would definitely recommend the Sofia pizza if youre interested in trying out a new pizza. It has these spicy peppers and spicy sausages that just make it hit different. Overall, a very good pizza place and probably the one we go to from now on!
Ordered a large pizza margarita. Pizza was really good, traditional in style. Highly recommend.
Best chocolate cannoli Ive ever had. The pizza sauce is rich and tomatoey and flavorful. I wish the pizza wasnt so... floppy? And the Caesar dressing is a little too fishy for my taste. Much prefer Pagliaccis Caesar salad.
Consistently great pizza! Love that you can order half & half pizza toppings, the thin crust is perfect fresh out of the oven!
We are here right now and I want to say thanks alot guys. Those are one of the best pizza.
TL:DR - Are 5 stars not clear enough? This is the kind of pizza place that I look for. Great crust, delicious toppings, unique combinations that betray a deeper understanding of food, and well-used space. I plan on going here many more times if I can. Truly a dream.
Great pizza and clazone mac and Jack on tap what more do you need.
The best stone baked pizza on the Eastside
Fantastic pizza and salad. The crust was especially tasty. I was surprised by how quickly we received our food - lunch was very fast, about 20 minutes.
Great pizza and friendly staff. Best pizza Ive tried in Seattle. Recommended!
Ordered a calabrese. Really nice sausage, high quality, made in 10m at dinner time. Good stuff.
Ideal neighborhood pizza shop. I dont feel like elaboration is necessary, try it for yourself.
Very good pizza, about 15 min to get your order.
This place is truly amazing. The pizza is thin and crisp and is just great! I totally recommend eating here!
Original flavors, great crust!!
amazing pizza with good service to boot! Felt like we were eating at a local family restaurant. The Margherita pizza was especially delicious, mainly due to the amazing tomato sauce they use. Definitely a good place to satisfy pizza cravings though it would be nice if they also had appetizers in the menu. For desert, we really enjoyed the tiramisu vs the cannoli on the menu.
This is my favorite wood fired pizza spot on the East Side. My go to is the Calabrese but am happy with just about all their pizzas. The staff is wonderful. Sometimes there are burnt bubbles on the edge of the crust. This is totally fine by me and expected when you cook dough in an oven this hot. It s part of this process.
Really great pizza! My favorite that I ve had in the area, and among the best wood fired pizza I ve ever had.
After driving by it for years we decided to try it out and we were so happy that we did! Amazingly delicious pizza and great service. We opted to make our own by adding toppings to their pepperoni but we will definitely be back to try their standard offerings.
Th servers are very kind. There is a small blemish on the pasta and she is more Than willing to help. The pizzas are 12 and personal size . But they are actually quite big. It might be just enough for two people if you are not too hungry.
Best pizza joint in Kirkland. Better than neighboring ones; fresh ingredients; great customer service.
Best Italian pizza around!
Loved, loved the Margarita pizza!
My kiddo and I ate the small pizza and all she kept saying was mom this pizza is the best very good and the people eating the salad next to us didn t leave anything left on there plates! Definitely will be back for sure!!!!
Hungry for some pizza, and I wanted something different. Stopped in to get a now available large pie. Cooked perfectly, little char on the outside crust, and premium quality toppings. May need some more sauce, if only because it is excellent and who doesnt like a saucy pizza?? Next time Ill have to ask for a side to dip crusts in. Vegetarian options: Different salads and pizza toppings Parking: Good size parking lot, should have no problem finding parking.
Niceeee yummyy ! Best PIZZA IN US
Incredibly good pizza!
Really delicious pizza made with top quality ingredients. Not cheap, but worth it.
Good pizza. The tiramisu wasnt what I was expecting from the raving reviews. I could taste the raw eggs and it didnt seam like it had any mascarpone cheese.. too bad business like this only care about profit but not investing in using good quality ingredients. And just like that you loose customers.
Uhh that was the best pizza I ve ever eaten. I had the one with olives and pepperonis. I m 35 I ve eaten thousands of Zzas in my life. Nothing has come close to the perfection of the pizza I just ate. Kinda just stunned atm.
The pizza tasted great I enjoyed it very much I should have asked for it to be a little bit crispier but it all round was awesome
Very very overrated. Burnt pretty bad. Too salty. Thin crust. Kinda disappointing tbh given the high ratings.
Tried the Bianca and the Margherita with Buffalo mozzarella. Excellent stuff and reasonably priced. Perfect crust and delicious toppings. Plenty of vegetarian options
This place has some of the greatest, tasting pizza I have found in Washington. I am a local, and is authentic!
When we visited Pizzaiolo we were initially skeptical due to the surroundings despite the good reviews. Don t make the same mistake as Pizzaiolo is EXCELLENT. As visitors from New York we re accustomed to the famously iconic pizzas. Pizzaiolo holds it own. We ordered the eponymous combination pizza, a shareable Caesar salad and a nice bottle of Chianti. Absolutely delicious with the delicate wood fired crust. We even told our gal and the kitchen staff they are on point. What more could we want. Period.
Sooooo much better than ANY pizza joint in Seattle. The exterior of business looks questionable but hot damn the pies are 10x better than Sparta Zekes pizza coop etc.
Great brick oven pizza! I Wish I was closer and could be a regular at this place
margarita was OK.! too much red sauce!
The Sofia pizza is wonderful! Every bite is a delightful burst of homemade tomato sauce. Pizzaiolo s pizza crust is the closet thing to NYC style pizza we found after moving here from NYC. Plus our daughter inhaled the Tiramisu. We ll be back.
Good pizza
Amazing place for pizza. Margherita pizza was awesome.
Great pizza and friendly service. Well be back for sure.
Delicious crust!
Terrific pizza and friendly staff. Neapolitan style and authentic. For a treat, try the pear Gorgonzola pizza. Tasty.
Fresh fresh fresh!
Great wood fire / Neapolitan pizza spot to check out in Kirkland! Loved the fresh ingredients and sauce and fair priced! :)
seriously so so good. classic pep is the way to go!
Tasty spot for wood fired pizza
I ordered the Veggie pizza and it was perfect. Not only was it delicious but it was ready in 20 minutes. I am not a huge fan of veggie pizza but my Dad is and so I thought I would give this a try. This has to be one of the best veggie pizzas I have ever had. The crust was really good and the flavor profile was spot on. Definitely will be back for this again! Oh and the staff was friendly and very appreciative. You should check them out the next time you are craving pizza. You wont be disappointed.
I was starving and they got me a pizza very quickly 5 stars
My most favorite wood fired pizza in Seattle. Try their salmon pizza its superb.
Pagliacci doesnt stand a chance
Delicious
By far the best pizza in the entire Seattle area. These people actually care about making good food.
Pizza was absolutely delicious, they clearly use high quality ingredients for everything. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic pizza from a local small business!
Absolutely amazing salads and pizza. We came here on a whim and my mom and I were so impressed. I absolutely recommend this place!!!!!!
Good thin-crust pizza. Covid take-out prices are higher than the previous eat-in, but maybe the large is a bit larger now?
Everything was perfectly cooked which meant no water logged veggie pizza and a beautifully chewy crust with a nice variety of toppings. Tried it on a whim and Ill definitely be back for more!
Nothing to complain about. Great NY style pizza with orginal options. Great pizza.
Yummy pizza, a little pricey but definitely worth it!
Great pizza and a good selection of unique pizza options.
It was super good. Great wood fire pizza
Wonderful restaurant and amazing pizza. The staff were very kind and polite.
Absolutely delicious. Super friendly and fast. Ordered online and it was ready right when they said it would be. Ive been issuing my favorite place back east and the gorgonzola pear pizza totally hit the spot.
Small place with limited seating, but have been wanting to eat here for some time. Very good wood-fired pizza with fresh ingredients. Staff were super friendly and helpful, we sat at a high-top table until a sit-down table was cleared then the waitress helped us move there. We tried a large (16+) pizza half vegetarian and half Bianca and a small (12) pepperoni for the kids. Also shared a small ceasar salad and penne primavera. We had to wait on the pasta as it was cooked to order (without precooked pasta). Pasta red sauce w fresh veggies was a bit spicy for young kid taste but good and well made. Meal was tasty, Bianca pizza w italian sausage was the best, goat cheese on vegetarian and veggies were very good but lacked seasoning and flavor.( more salt, garlic and basil please) Pizza crust is very basic with good texture but (imo) lacking some salt and flavor. Penne Still a good meal and great experience for family of 4 w 2 grade school children. We took about half if what we ordered home.
This is like real Italy. Thin, high quality cheese, perfect and fast service
Hands down best pizza in the area
The pizza has been good. But I recently order Cannoli, they didn t tell me they didn t have the original ricotta ones. Instead they gave me chocolate ones. When I called about my pickup order, instead of apologizing the person on the phone said, that s all we have now . At least have the courtesy to say you are sorry. You charged me $14 for something I didn t order.
This is the best pizza in Juanita! My husband is half Italian, hes super picky about pizza and prefers simple toppings. Margherita, Pear & gorgonzola, Quattro Formaggi, theyre all amazing!
The pizzas are really tasty, woodfired yumminess. We have been frequenting Pizzaiolo since they opened many years ago and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Their specials and Italian desserts are yummy. They are a short walk from Juanita Beach and across the street from Juanita Village shops. It is definitely worth checking this place out, you wont go to any other pizza place once experiencing theirs!
Incredible
Very tasty pizza, crispy and thin crust, good balance of toppings and cheese, tasted fresh. Simple ambience and very friendly owners.
Best pizza for miles!
Excellent pizza and customer service. Quiet environment
Really good quality. The crust was a bit too crunchy for my taste, but that s just a preference. I think it s a great pizzeria
Best pizza in the state!
Weve had an excellent experience with this pizzeria. Our takeout consisted of veggie and meat calzones, pepperoni pizza, tiramisu, and cannolis. Everything had authentic and delicious taste. The food came hot and on-time. We had terrific time and plan to come back for more. Well done, and keep up the amazing quality.
My favorite pie on the Eastside. Just the right amount of char, well made thin dough that crisps up nicely but still allows a fold, very proper sauce, and cheese that doesn t get too greasy. A good spot for the pizza purists.
Great wood fired pizza! Our favorites are the Calabrese and Margherita.
It was me and my family s first time here. I loved it!! The Pesto chicken and the Margherita were amazing. My siblings loved the pepperoni pizza. Service was quick and super nice. Would recommend!
Best pizza in Kirkland
Wonderful pizza!
Small pizza place, great service and amazing flavor. Cannolis are a MUST!
Really good pizza! Tried the vegetarian one. Just perfect amount of toppings on thin crust. Loved it!
Really delicious, authentic wood fired pizza. Well be back.
Place is kind of hit or miss. Ive had good pies and Ive had some burnt ones. Being a former pizza cook myself for 10 years I understand those ovens can get super hot. Dough and toppings are great and on point but I definitely have had a couple with black burnt bottoms that were cooked on carbon. I will say the times this did happen was towards the end of the night. So maybe they didnt brush out the oven or had alot of orders. Still a great pie and worth a visit.
