Serious Pie Totem Lake in Kirkland

We were seated at a dirty table and my date ended up sitting on some pizza sauce that was spilled on her seat by the prior guest. It s egregious that they charge such high prices but the tables are cleaner at the casual restaurant nearby. 0/10 would not recommend this Serious Pie

Coconut cream pie was pretty average. 15$ for a slice is outrageous.

Went with my sister for a couple of pizza s. I had Yukon Gold and she had Fennel Sausage. Mine was good hers was AMAZING. We were served by Rico who was pleasant and very helpful.

Their pizza is sooo good. I think its something in the crust? I really like the fennel sausage combination and the pizzas are cooked perfectly. The crust is always crispy but still a little chewy. The pizza might be a little pricey for their size, but I think theyre so worth it.

Food is excellent, delicious choice of artisan pizza. Price is relatively high for portion sizing but it is extremely delicious! Seating can be a bit hit or miss, and it is more family friendly than I remember. Great in one sense but not so much for a nice date night with only a small adult bar section .. Kid-friendliness: Main seating is family and kid friendly.

A phenomenal place with delightful pizza, perfectly crispy and chewy crust, some kind of magical seasoning on the table that was edible on its own! Wow.

No doubt, best pizza in the Totem lake area, with fresh toppings. Chocolate cake melts in mouth. Soup is finger licking good! Danielle was a great server, she was quick and helped us with our take out order. I will go back for sure.

Parking: Plenty parking in the well lit, clean garage Kid-friendliness: I saw a grade school child doing his homework after having pizza with mom and as mom finishes her glass of wine.

I rarely write bad reviews, but this is one of my first. This incident occurred in May when we decided to have a family night out at the restaurant with our 4- and 7-year-old kids. They were craving pizza, and since we live near Totem Lake and visit WF almost every week, we thought we d give this place a try. We went on a Friday afternoon, right after school and work. It was raining, and I wasn t dressed up I knew I might not have looked my best. However, the lady who greeted us was rude. Even though there were seats available, the way she spoke to me and looked at me made me feel unwelcome. It seems this place is too fancy for families with kids.

Awesome food, but their water is absolutely nasty. Its not even tap water, its something very foul with horrid aftertaste.

Im not sure if the pizza quality has changed, but it was just meh this time. The first time I dined in Seattle, I had an amazing experience, so I decided to try it again after a while, but it was just okay. We ordered three pizzas and they were all mediocre at best. Clean tables and bathroom with free parking.

Absolutely amazing!!! Great food, great service, very clean, and a fun atmosphere. I got a simple cheese pizza and it was to die for! Service was spectacular and I barely had to wait for food even though is was busy. The price is also pretty reasonable for the quality of pizza you get (honestly a steal). A must have in my opinion! 10/10

We had a wonderful evening at Serious Pie, the service was fast and efficient, the pizza was delicious; nice thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of toppings. Decor was simple but effective. A lovely cozy spot to eat great wood-fired pizza! Be sure to start with some of the incredible tomato soup and treat yourself to a piece of their world-famous coconut cream pie! Vegetarian options: All of the salads are delicious, as are the margherita, the pear and balsamic and potato pizzas. Parking: Two giant, free parking garages in the buildings surrounding the restaurant.

Loved the gourmet pizza at this place. The combinations of toppings and sauces are inspired. Enjoyed chatting with the attentive bartender(named after a city). Manager Dani stopped by and was very friendly.

Maybe the best happy hour in town if you like a really good pizza paired with a beer!

So happy we serendipitously ended up at this place! Our host (also the boss), Dani, was welcoming with a smile! She astutely assessed and adjusted for our needs by immediately offering us a corner booth ideal for a family with a kiddo, providing coloring pages and crayons, and some water for the table. Our server, a Canadian like us, sussed out our tastes and patiently provided suggestions accordingly: we ended up with the potato pizza, the prosciutto and asparagus pizza (prosciutto on only half as I m vegetarian while my husband is not), and a decadent bowl of tomato soup. The fire baked pizzas were beyond melt in our mouths lovely, and the asparagus was wonderfully crunchy without being chewy to the point that our 4.5 year old loved her meal (not a common feat!). We guiltily topped it off with a decadent bowl of chocolate budino that allowed me to close my eyes and just feel the heaven I was sitting in. More than anything, we loved the atmosphere. Thank you, Serious Pie. We will be back!

The host was very mean, when we asked if our table is ready she told us not to tell her how to do her job and if we don t want to wait we should just leave. The service was poor. The most horrible service we ve ever had, we will never come back.

First of all, one expects good things from a Tom Douglas restaurant, but I feel compelled to share the bizarrely awful experience my friend and I had Tuesday afternoon at Serious Pie. We were excited to meet for happy hour, but that quickly turned into disappointment. I d like to preface that this rating has nothing to do with the food and beverage because we didn t even get that far. Upon arrival, a woman at the door, who I assumed was a manager since there was nobody else present besides one server, greeted me. I chose a table on the patio and was handed menus. There was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant at that time. As my friend settled in, I realized our table was uneven by at least half an inch and mentioned to our server that we might need a wobble wedge. The server seemed visibly annoyed and returned with two cocktail napkins, saying, I don t know where you want me to put them, despite it being glaringly obvious if she just looked down. I pointed it out and she put them under the foot, but it doesn t take a genius to realize two cocktail napkins are not the correct tool here. She stood up abruptly and asked, Were you ready to order some drinks? and then, without pausing, turned on her heel, muttering obviously not as she walked away. Her tone and body language were objectively rude. She would do well serving at Dick s Last Resort. My friend, who had only been there for about three minutes, called after her, Are you kidding? at an unmistakable volume, but she ignored us and kept walking. Given that we were one of only two tables, her rushing us was so odd. We exchanged looks and said, Yeah, absolutely not, and stood up to leave. On our way out, I stopped to speak to the woman at the door, but she only nodded slowly while I spoke, offering no feedback whatsoever. You don t have to walk far for better service. This feels like what happens when servers are no longer motivated by tips. Maybe I ll try a different location someday.

Love Serious Pie! Great service, good atmosphere. Its amazing to not have to trek to Seattle anymore to get Tom Douglas pizza. Theres no crust like it! The mushroom pizza is killer, and Im not even a mushroom fan! Seriously...TRY IT. Fennel sausage, Margherita, and the specials are always great too. Choose your own adventure, you really cant go wrong and happy hour is a steal of a deal!

I got burned out with kids party pizza for years and don t eat pizza often I went with a friend and Patrick was our server very busy but very fun and friendly I was served an amazing PIZZA so unique and Delicious

We asked to switch tables due to the table not being stable, and the server didnt say a word to us and just moved all of our utensils to the new table. She was clearly not having a good day. Ordered the fennel sausage pizza. The crust was extremely crispy and the toppings would not stay on. My girlfriend had the oyster mushroom pizza, it was way too greasy and I wish we had taken photos. The fennel pizza got me sick for the rest of the day, would not recommend eating here. We did not have a good experience, and we paid over $50 for these 2 pizzas.

We went for my son s bday. We took my parents who are from Brazil and we told them was going to be the best pizza (we had a great experience 2 years ago in the Seattle location). We were super disappointed this time with the quality of the pizza. Dough was not good, it was hard, the cheese pizza had barely cheese even Whole Foods, PCC have better pizzas. Serious pie used to be the best one, something changed.

The happy hour menu looks great, but they need to reduce more $ on drinks vs. regular menu.. also need to add more hh food menu options also..waitress whoever served looks like hatred towards us without even asking for bill she was bringing the bill indirectly asking us leave lol..and she was like can you please order fast face and I did not like that kind of service...atmosphere is great and I liked the vibe and look..they need to keep hh after 9 pm ish also where they can notice more attracted crowd and extend the hh from 5 pm to 6 pm also where it will be convenient...hope for change and thank you for reading my review..

The potato pizza is too salty and the tomato pizza is too sour. The dough is not chewy.

Went for happy hour. The small pizzas were the perfect size to taste and share with friends or eat alone. The crust was light and well cooked and each pizza was well balanced.

We had an early dinner / late lunch at this Serious Pie location and split a kale salad and pizza. The salad and pizza portions are enough to split between two people, however, if you have a hearty appetite, they can certainly be single servings. Unfortunately, Serious Pie will not do half and half arrangements if youre looking to split a pizza and want to have half of the pizza have different toppings than the other half. Strong points with their pizza are the crust - just the right amount of chewy. Their tomato-based sauce isnt too tart, which I like. Price-wise, theyre a little on the higher side.

Pizza is great, but expect it to be a bit pricey. Staff was awesome. Vegetarian options: Lots of choices for both vegetarian and vegan. Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten free options, but its pizza, so...

I enjoyed everything. The tomato soup was delicious and the pizza was perfect.

We came they did not seat us down at the open tables and said we would have to wait 30-45 when they close at 9. We got seated at the bar when everyone was 21 and was asked to leave because someone forgot their id. The manager was not accommodating and did not try and seat us somewhere else. Bad customer service and would not recommend eating this place. Very disappointing.

Went in before six on a weekday and the place filled up quickly! Ordered the squash salad, two pizzas and a dessert for three of us. And added the $2 side of spicy ranch. The ranch was a fun add to both the salad a pizza....for the spice wimp in the group, it had just the right heat build, for the others, it was a nicely flavored ranch. Worth the two bucks! Pizza came out super quickly just as we finished up the salad. Ordered the $14 coconut cream pie and it was a massive slice. Crust was a bit thick to cut through with a fork or spoon, but the toasted coconut packed plenty of flavor. Glad we ordered just one and shared it. Weekday HH runs 3-5. Free parking in the structures nearby or the street. It was much better experience wise than the downtown location because it was not such a crush to get sat and had more elbow room at the tables.

My partner and I have ate there twice. Their happy hour prices are great. Love the thin crust on their pizza and their crust is to due for. Great crunch and they dont hide the flavor by dumping a bunch of cheese or sauce on it. They know their pizza Food : 5/5

Really enjoyed Serious Pie. Came here for lunch and the wood fire pizza was excellent. One pizza is big enough to share with two people but we tried two pizzas to split and had about a pizza in leftovers. Mushroom pizza (with added caramelized onions) is a winner and the sweet sausage pizza was a great combo of sweet and spicy. Serious pie ranch is not worth the up charge, just use the free seasoning at the table. Good for a lunch with friends while shopping around.

Tried the mushroom pizza from here last week, had a majorly bad digestive reaction to what Im guessing was a bad mushroom. Before getting the pizza I had previously tried to go between 2 and 3, when they were closed for a staff meeting. Nowhere on their Google listing or website does it mention when these staff meetings are, so in my humblest of opinions, its a bad business practice to not better plan these meetings for non-meal times, they nearly lost my business because of it. Thats why the atmosphere and overall rating suffered the ding. Im not taking points away for the bad mushrooms on the mushroom pizza, maybe just to tell others to tread lightly when they order that one! I know I will be avoiding that one on the menu from now on. The parking was a little hectic too

Super good high end pizza. I usually prefer cheap pizza but this place hit the spot! Plus the Totem Lake area has tons of fun stuff to do.

Ordered potato pizza, kale salad, and sweet fennel sausage pizza. One of the better pizza joints Ive been to recently. Pizza was very good, especially the sweet fennel sausage. Dont order the salad like I did though, waste of space in my stomach.

Pizza was okay. We sat outside due to 45 min wait for a Friday night dining at 6:30pm. The place had overhead heaters and so it wasnt bad. I had a Manhattan to start and it was good. The tomato soup was decent but the bread that came with it was the best food I had that night. I really like the ambiance. Very family friendly. I would definitely go again and sit outside with a drink and tomato soup, maybe skipping the pizza next time. Parking: Parking is everywhere. You can park in garage or outside with a few minutes walk.

I visited on 3/14 during their fantastic happy hour pie day promotion and was blown away by the experience. I had the pleasure of trying four different pizzas, starting with the ferndale farms mozzarella, tomato sauce, fresh basil pizza, followed by the sweet fennel sausage, roasted peppers, provolone pizza, the roasted seasonal mushrooms, crimini, truffle cheese pizza, and the guanciale, spinach, coal roasted onions, fontina pizza. My recommendation would be to order them in that exact sequence, but honestly, all of the pizzas were simply incredible! Despite the bustling crowd, our server managed to accommodate my order just before the happy hour ended. The food was delicious, the interior aesthetic was lovely, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Im looking forward to coming back to sample more dishes from the menu. Highly recommended!

We came to eat here with so much excitement because we have been to the other locations in Seattle but it was mediocre pizza to say the least. Service was great and fast almost too fast maybe some stuff was pre made. Disappointed with the taste and presentation of the pizza. It had chucks of onions in it that were not even cooked ( so much for gourmet pizza). The sauce was just ordinary and too much, the fancy bacon was not cooked through and had too much fat I will post pictures as well it was not pleasant to pay $75 for 3 pizzas. No thanks. 2 stars for hard working waiters. Mod pizza beats this.

Serious pies is certainly a fitting name. These guys have grown in last several years but havent lost their quality while expanding. Glad our kids live in Seattle area... serious pies is always on our list while visiting.

Airy ambience with huge windows, friendly service. Mixed greens salad was surprisingly fresh, tangy, and delicious. Fennel sausage pizza with provolone and peppers was delicious with appetizing complex flavors in the sausage, nicely balanced overall and perfect crust. An awesome find, coming all the way from Sammamish on weekday , this was great suggestion by spouse. Pizzas are fluffy and light if I can describe them that way. Yes spark pizza you have worthy competition. The Kirkland place is much more happening and has more shops. This food place is very safe bet with focused starters, pizzas and good drinks. Their happy hour is a steal between 3-5 pm. Zaucer sorry we skipped you today. But rest assured amongst all but 3 choices on east side - you all 3 shine. I forget - this is seriously only for serious pie place. Wish you folks the best.

Service was good. Food was good but overpriced. 3 personal pizzas and a salad for $97 tip not included. They have a nice patio. The menu is very small and could use some protein sides. Vegetarian options: Lots of options

Unique pies with great flavors. The area is easy for parking and the staff was amazing!

Walked in at this location at 8.30pm on Saturday. There is free parking available on the street and garage. The menu is limited. They do not offer meat substitution and have pricey add-ons ($3 each). Pizzas had a thin and crispy crust. There was too much parmesan added on one of the pizzas (prosciutto cotto, newaukum valley pea shoots, green garlic pesto, parmesan).

Food was good but $14 for a slice of pie is not something I will do again.

Oh boy! It s been 10years since we have been visiting this place and so far NO OTHER place has even come closer to this one. I am so glad they opened up place in Totem lake so we don t have to drive all the way to Seattle! Mushroom and Potato pizza are our fav and must have!

Do yourself a favor, please do not order Yukon pizza. It s the worst ever pizza I have ever eaten. Wrong curated set of ingredients on a beautiful pizza base. The morels pizza is worth a try. All in all, not worth the hype received from friends and ratings on Google

Great pizza and great chop & kale salads, my favorite pizza is one with sausage, usually ask for extra onions on it, have not trled too many other items, keep getting same items. only complaint would be choices of wine and beer, didnt care for any of their red wine selections, whites are ok, limited beer options. Should offer some local wine.

The pizzas were overall good, except many of them were a little too salty. The server was very nice but totally oversold us on pizza. She actually recommended us get one more than we had ordered and we decided against it and we had at least one pizzas worth left over. I know its kind of hard to guess how much ppl will eat but I feel like she was really off.

Not your standard pizza. These are unique and gourmet+-clam, potato, truffle+ mushroom. Such yummy toppings, I expected the crust to suffer. Not so. Delicious. Great service. Liked but didnt love the coconut pie. It lacks the uniquely delicious flavor of the pizza. The chocolate one was tasty. Rich. Plan to share. One time inside. Nice. One time outside. Fantastic. Totem Lake Mall has a new charm, and this place is part of it.

The pizza tasted great and crust was baked to perfection. However I felt it was a bit meager for the price. Kale salad was perfect. The cocktail, their version of an old fashioned, has good flavor but for the price I felt there there shouldve been a tad more whiskey. Overall I would go back but not get a drink next time.

Cool/cozy location that offers indoor and outdoor seating right in the center of the Totem Lake commons. Free street, lot, and garage parking available. About 4 to 5 beers on draft with several bottle options. I opted for the Post Doc blonde beer which was good. For pizza I opted for a basic pepperoni so I could experience flavors of crust and cheese. Nothing to write home about. Too much tomato sauce and pretty sweet for my taste buds. Service was good.

This place has the most Niche pizzas Ive ever had. Not a huge menu, but with flavors as unique as theirs, you dont really need a huge menu. Its a nice place to sit down, chat, and share a pie with your friends. Ive never had a pizza I didnt like, and their coconut cream pie is to die for!

Server came in quickly at first but took some time to come around for next set of orders. They have pretty limited menu and if you vegetarian they only have limited veggie options: plain, mushroom or potato For appetizer we got the burrata, liked the cheese with the chillian oil topping but would appreciate if it came with a size of bread as well. For pizza we got the mushroom pizza and original. It s a pretty standard tasting wood fired pizza so nothing much I would rave about. They had two options for desserts, didn t try it out but it s an option. Vegetarian options: Limited, if you have aversion for mushroom you will have only plain or potato as option Parking: Couple of garage around the location

The pizza was just honestly too crispy, and it was so bland. It tasted like I was eating bread the whole time. The service was okay, and the atmosphere is nice to sit at. I don t eat pork, so the only options were just unappealing. It would be nice if they maybe had beef, chicken, or something like that Maybe others would ve liked what I got, but it was a big no for me.

We are frequent customers and always eats the mushrooms pizza which we love! Today, we ordered the same and the pizza was different in a bad way. The cheese was so bad and tasted like cheap old cheese, the mushroom was different, taste not the same at all. Start having stomach ache couple hours later. We ask the waiter if they change the cheese and the answer was no. I don t think they were honest about it. Very disappointed that s way changing the rating to one star.

Pizza is interesting in that its upscale ingredients, pricing, plus they offer a full bar, but its very fast casual style. Great service. Kid friendly. Its a bit loud for conversation. Patio is quieter.

How can you go wrong with the coconut cream pie?

The place was crowded on Friday and we sat at the bar, which turned out to be the right thing to do as it was right next to the pizza oven and the bar tender was super attentive and we got our pizzas in less than a minute out of the oven! The pizza crust was nice and thin and crispy and reminded me of the pizza we had in Rome. They werent cheap but the ingredients were first class (fennel sausage, Penn Cove clam).

Great food and atmosphere.

I had the oyster mushrooms pizza and added the sweet fennel sausage and tomato. The ingredients used were of excellent quality. The oyster mushrooms were fresh and tender, they used heirloom tomatoes and fresh grated mozzarella cheese. I could say the pie was expensive but those ingredients aren t cheap so the price was fair. The atmosphere was upbeat, lively and fun Disclaimer: I m a server and have been in the hospitality business for 35 years. Our server was nothing more than an order taker. I could have gone to a kiosk and put my order in and gotten the same amount of service. I would expect this type of service from a 20% auto grat. house, not one that leaves it up to the guest. I read another review that mentioned the service being a bit standoffish and that s ok if that s how you train your waitstaff, but add the autograt to be fair to the server. The young lady didn t offer drinks, didn t try to upsell, didn t let her personality shine in anyway that made me want to leave a good tip. Unfortunately, some people aren t cut out to be servers, she might be one of those. I would suggest retraining her in order to improve her tips. Otherwise she will get fed up with not making money and leave your establishment and possibly the industry

Unique and delicious varieties of pizza. The tomato soup is amazing, too. Outdoor and indoor seating both available. It was a nice day but it looks like there are hanging heat lamps ready for when it gets colder.

Mushroom pizza and clams pizza are the best! Will def come back to explore more options

Modestly overpriced, but excellent Italian pizza. Those who like the thick crust kind of pizza, this isnt your place, but the thin crust pizza here is delicious. I suspect some folks were expecting a massive Neopolitan or Sicilian slice, which this isnt. BUT WHAT THEY DO IS GOOD. We ate one for lunch, and finished it for dinner. Service was great. Ability to order for takeout appears to be good. My dinging the atmosphere is because its a bit loud in there, which is, yes, very popular. Vegetarian options: They clearly are able to provide vegan options (not vegetarian), but we didnt try them. Dietary restrictions: They asked carefully about diet restrictions, it sounds like they are good about it.

Slow and overpriced. They were very short handed and it took a good 15+ minutes to get a cocktail.

If you aint serious about the pie, you should be. Terrible joke aside, this place is ran by kind and welcoming staffs that do things right. Leading to excellent service and beautifully baked, delicious pizzas (pies). With great salads too of course.

We went on a busy Friday night. Dani the greeter had her hands full - greeting the guests, answering the phone, waiting on tables, taking orders Basically a Rock Star !! I tried to get her some help as the line grew longer asking two other team members if there was anyone else to help her. They said no. We had to wait in line. She kept her cool and kept working hard and efficiently. Jessica the bartender was helping her out when she could. The food was good and finally Dani got some help! Dani is a gem and needs some help!

Had a small snafu with our order being delayed and the manager and staff communicated the issue to use and took great care of us. Pizza, salad, and service were ultimately excellent.

Been here a few times, this time was extremely special. Staff were so sweet && accommodating. We don t eat pork or bacon, the remade everything without it and didn t make faces or a fuss. Pizza is amazing, especially the crust. We ordered the pear and goat cheese pizza and substituted the panchetta for roasted potato and the taste was excellent. I highly recommend! Janette was our server and she was so sweet and knowledgeable!
