We always have an amazing time at mundo trattoria. We had dinner for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Johny and his front of the house staff really made us feel special as always. The generosity of the portions and the quality of the food is hard to beat. Max, our waiter did an amazing job. We had the egg plant parm and the beef short rib which was cooked to perfection. Will be back soon and recommend this restaurant for a warm and cozy service and delicious food.

Great food and service, but on friday nights you have to endure a cabaret singer who plays so loud you can t hear yourselves talk. We just picked the wrong night.

I booked a reservation a week prior to the date for 7 people. When we arrived, we were told there is a private event and that there is no space for us. I told them that I made a reservation a week ago and they were fine with the date and time. Their answer was that it was probably one of their kitchen staff that answered the phone. I dont think I care who answered the phone, I booked the reservation and planned accoridngly. I had people driving from 2 hours away to get to this place! This is unacceptable and very unprofessional. La Verita restaurant saved us and we had a very nice supper over there. I dont recommend this place especially if you try to book in advance. Never again.

This was my first visit to Mundo Trattoria and I will definitely be returning! We were warmly greeted and given a private quiet table. as per my wishes for my friends 74th birthday dinner. I was impressed with the attention to every single detail. Our waiter Luigi was amazing! The pace of service was perfect. Not rushed, but well timed. The service was choreographed and seamless, with wine, water, warm baked bread, space between appetizer and main course. The food was outstanding! I have never had a more delicious salmon tartare! I tried beef cheeks for the first time and they just melted in my mouth! My friend really enjoyed the lobster ravioli. The space between the main course and dessert was perfect. The tiramisu made in house was deliciously fantastic! I cannot believe on how I have missed out eating at this restaurant before now. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning. My favourite # 1 place to dine out on a special night! Thank you to all the servers and amazing chef, who made my evening out so memorable. Dinner for 2 with two glasses of wine, appetizer shared, 2 main course and dessert, tax and tip included, just under 200$. Worth every single penny! Outstanding!

We were there last Friday for my wife and my birthdays. The food was fantastic, the service was great . The chief is top notice. They even have live music on Fridays!! We had a group dinner for work and as a trailer we were well taken care of all night. We did a 3 course meal, all options fresh, well made and delicious.

Had the linguini with seafood. DELICIOUS! hubby had chosen chowder with red sauce - so good! & He enjoyed his mushroom risotto! A friend had the mussels & really good!!

Went there for a Family Dinner. Service and food was excellent. Restaurant was completely full and we were still very well served. Several people had the salmon as well as the lobster ravioli. Both excellent. Great job!

Went there for my husbands nieces confirmation yesterday. The restaurant was nice, the service was excellent took a little while to get served but once we got the food, honestly its probably the best food I ever had in my life! It was so flavorful, fresh, tasty! It was AMAZING!! I just had to taste everything from the chicken skewers, to the grilled jumbo shrimps, the salad and pasta.. it goes on and on! 100/100. The entertainment was fun, created a nice ambiance but was a just a little too loud as we had to scream to each other when we talked with other guests. Other then that, I would 1000000% recommend this place! Absolutely devine!

Was there over the weekend to celebrate a wedding of one of my closest friends. Overall it was a good experience but I do have two complaints. 1- our waiter was cold and unfriendly almost rude tbh. No smiles, just a bitter old man. 2- at one point a few of the staff were sitting together at the table outside the washroom hallway, at this point the grooms best man was delivering a speech only to me interrupted by loud obnoxious laughing from their table. That was uncalled for. On a positive note the food was delicious ..all of it but especially the braised beef!!!! The bartender was awesome, super friendly and knew how to crack a joke. All in all it was a good experience but it should have been an outstanding experience considering it was a closed wedding party. Just my $0.02 .

We were very upset with the experience in Munro Trattoria. The service was poor. There s only one waitress serving most of the table. We waited for the dessert menu for 30 mins and the coffee me took us another 30 mins. When I talked to the waitress when paying the bill, she didn t look at me or response to me instead she looked at my another friend and asked him if everything was good. The food was disappointing. They didn t worth that price. Since it s my friend s birthday, I didn t want to ruin it. My friends had diarrhea after dinner. Maybe the food was not very clean. This was the worst experience in Montreal. We will never go back to Munro trattoria again.

Lovely Italian family restaurant in the West Island. I d even say the best! Whether it s a date night or a special occasion or even want to grab a quick bite it s always a good time. On Fridays there s even live music. The food is fantastic and the staff is always so welcoming. Definitely a gem in the West Island.

The gnocchi was light and the sauce was amazing and the truffle mac and cheese balls were crunchy and not too much truffle. Everything was really really good. Even the dining experience is amazing here, good waiters, they rotated everything nice. Reminds me a famous Indian place we went to in vancouver.

What a fascinating evening. First of all, at reception, a tall, very stupid waiter. We already felt that we were disturbing. Luigi was going to be our server afterwards. We had caprese and fried calamari. The latter were seriously lacking in cooking. Very rubbery in the mouth, I have eaten the best in a brewery. The caprese was good for a cheese ball with tomatoes. As a meal, astice ravioli, pappardelle funghi and vitello parmigianna. Lamb shank was not available. Luigi told us that the braised beef cheek was fatty. He also told us that vitello was not available before retracting his statement. In short, the ravioli were delicious. The papardelle was tough and tasteless. The cutlets were oily and very thick. It should be mentioned that throughout the meal we were very honest with Luigi. He even deliberately asked a customers satisfaction regarding the cutlets. She liked it and Luigi looked at me with a smile and told me that everyone likes it. Bravo for the arrogance. In general, Luigi was lost and its shocking to have such service in such an expensive restaurant. It was finally during dessert that for the first time we felt that our satisfaction was important. The coffees were free and we had berries with it. We appreciated this gesture. Thanks to the owner. In the end, a bill of $250 for poor service and low quality meals. At this price, I highly recommend going elsewhere, but everyone likes it according to Luigi!

Not Bad, not exceptional. Risotto really didn t have much taste. Oysters were fresh, good and not expensive. Other plates from other person of the group looked just OK, but were really not fancy. Total bill: 175$ for 2 persons with 1 drink each and no wine (Tax and Tip included).

Great authentic Italian food. Not your average pizza and pasta, this is high end Italian, and it comes with excellent service. Staff are very nice, and the menu well developed and not confusing. The risotto is to die for, and the ossobucco is amazing.

The wait staff were great and that is where the good ended for us. The melon in the melon & prosciutto was unripe and hard. The main courses - salmon tartare tasted acidic as if the avocado had turned - the ravioli tasted like a frozen grocery store brand Given the prices that this restaurant charges, I would have expected much better. Very disappointed

Excellent service, quality food and good atmosphere. Were not crowded on top of each other so we can hear each other talk and above all we dont feel rushed to leave! Really very nice, I would definitely go back!

The place inside is rather dark / cold / and dated. There was a huge table that still wasn t cleared (and wasn t cleared at all during my dinner) and the banquets had holes in the upholstery. The waiters were very friendly but felt like they were missing a hostess at the front or maybe they were understaffed that night. The calamari was some of the best I ve ever had. Nice big pieces and the batter was perfection. My father had the seafood spaghetti which was delicious but very spicy. I had the Osso bucco which was cooked beautifully. I was supposed to get saffran risotto but I ended up getting rice. I believe they used Arborio rice but it s just not was I was expecting. I would have liked to have a piece of bread with salt / pepper to eat the bone marrow (but that s just how I like it) Didn t have dessert as nothing was inspiring me. Overall good experience and I will go back , but would need to see changes to the establishment to give it a 5 star and make it my go to spot as I live nearby.

This is the hidden gem of the west island! I guess if you know...you know! This is my absolute favorite restaurant in West island. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The wine and drinks are always on point! Whether you are there in a group or on a date, Mundo does not disappoint! The servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite.10/10. Always looking forward for the next time I go back. Also, I wouldn t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. The owners are exceptional! They go above and beyond.
