Ordered through Uber eats for pickup . Salmon and clams did not have any taste . The red Salmon soup didnt even have a hint of salmon. Contacted restaurant first for a resolution they could not do anything . Other locations are much better .

I thought everything was very good. Just my opinion, I added a piece of fish to my order. It was $4.50. I thought that was high for the size. Of course, just visiting the area. My wifes grilled Salmon was very good.

Via Uber eats, Chowder had plenty of clams and Cod Fish was battered perfectly and tasted great.

Go get some fish n chips and some clam chowder! Then go sit along the water with the seagulls!!! THEN FEED THE SEAGULLS! The birds are smart, theyll wait, theyre patient for those delicious fries! Toss em, leave em on the ground... But I really suggest holding a big fry up and letting a seagull grab it from your fingertips! Go enjoy yourselves! Wheelchair accessibility: The seafood bar and covered seating are accessible. The waterfront seating must go down about 6 steps.

Out of chowder. Took 25 minutes to defrost. Meanwhile the rest of my dinner got cold.

No problem with the staff or location, but dry, tasteless fish and overcooked fries mean I won t be back.

Fantastic, the fried fish was super delicious. Oysters and chips, which are my favorite were kinda of a small oyster portion but were good. Kid-friendliness: Good for the kids, nice normal environment.

We visited on Sunday. There were few people. The staff seemed to be abstracted and were chatting pleasantly about their business, not paying attention to the guests. As a result, the food is impossible to eat! Dirt everywhere! Shame!

The Beer Coors light was out dated.

I need to stop eating here. The chowders are tasty but dont agree with me. The fries are pretty solid, typically a nice golden-brown-and-delicious; my only complaint with them is that they could use more salt. The fried cod often has gaps in the breading, allowing hot oil in between the breading and the fish. Consequently the breading slides off while youre trying to eat it, rather than adhering properly. Perhaps inadequate dredging before breading? The cod-flesh itself is pretty medium-well; flakes nicely, but a touch of rubberiness. I havent gotten the salmon or the cornbread in a year or two so my memory might be faulty, but I seem to recall that the salmon was quite dry / overcooked, and the cornbread was sticky-sweet, more dessert than side. All that said, service is generally pretty good; they have my pick-up order out right around when they said they would, even during peak rush.

I absolutely love love love the clam chowder from here! Add some fries on the side and it s over for me! So good! Delicious comfort food

Seattle favorite for fish and clam chowder. This is a convienent location just a mile south of Downtown Kirkland along the Lake. View of Lake Washington while dining. Outdoor tables available dining on sunny and dry dog days. Reasonable prices for Eatside Kirkland area.

Great place for good fish at a reasonable price... Not a elegant dine in experience.... Basic but clean

I work down the road from this location and it s always clean with great customer service and great food. Chowder is the best! Great cod and fish tacos too.

The batter on the fish today (3-pc.) seemed more like a beer batter (greasier). Dont know if it was old grease, or .. ? (was there about 3:30pm on a Sat.) Ive actually never had that happen before.

Food was tastier than expected and location is great

Ivars has a Long John Silvers kind of feel which is fine but the prices dont reflect that. $70 for 4 plates and drinks is on the higher side for us. Being next to the water is great. The restaurant is clean and not too busy. Staff is friendly and helpful especially since it was our first time here. The food was bland and unexciting and I dont feel it reflected $13 a plate. You pay for the location and the fact you are in Seattle. Overall a pleasant experience but out of my budget.

Yummy fish and chips

Came across this place on a stroll around the neighborhood whilst staying at a local hotel. Seafood was fresh and tasty, and most importantly they remembered all of the sauces I ordered. An enjoyable experience.

the customer service was fantastic. The location was beautiful, food is good but you can tell that it wasn t fresh out of the fryer. Everything seemed refried and slightly overcooked, still good and fast for how busy the place was. Very friendly and serviceable staff.

Went there for lunch on Ivars birthday. The deal was Buy one entrée from Ivar s Birthday Menu and get a second for $1.18 from the same menu. Ordered fish & chips as well as shrimp & chips, and the food quality was good as usual. This location is just right by Lake Washington, and you can enjoy the gorgeous lake view while enjoying the food. There is no restaurant parking but there are plenty of street parking though.

Beautiful scenery with amazing fish & chips

The food was good. We arrived at 8:10. The lady with pink hair was very rude. She made it obvious that she was not happy that we came in. She said well, so much for early closing loud enough for us to hear. Two of her friends came in and she told them how our party came in after 8 and that we better be out by 9. Rolled her eyes at us. The other server and the gentleman cooking were nice. We are visiting from California and this place was close to where we are staying.

I love the fish and chips with their tarter sauce. My wife had the salmon dinner. I usually get their chowder. I love the smell. Years ago, before all the high tech buildings came, my office was across the street from their kitchen in South Lake Union. I still remember the great aroma.

Horrible customer service!! a lady who works here, she was very rude. I went the store for pick up my online order, she said she didn t receive order not even checked! And told me call the Uber! And check it out! What !! I did not order with Uber!!! Finally another employee find my order that already ready it! Oh my she never apologized me and just went to the kitchen!! Her attitude was very disrespectful and I feel she look down on me. I never had this kind of customer service in kirkland area where I have lived for more than 10 years!!

Food is always good and the restaurant is always clean. But they always forget to give my kid the treat for his kids meal unless I remember to ask for it, which is pretty lame. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs & booster seats, as well as 3 options for smaller portioned kids meals.

Seems staff ( rainbow headed lady ) just always has something to say and it s never nice or relevant. 2nd time I ve came in and it would be different if they had different tone when they speak. Very good seafood right on lake Washington in Kirkland. Came by with some family and sat outside on a beautiful day. We had a big order and the guy at the register was very patient and brought out our order quick. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the fish n chips & Chowders!

Delicious food, great location right across from a park on Lake Washington, and excellent service. It feels like a real place to eat without the cloudy windows of the downtown Seattle location and without having to fight to keep seagulls out of the unconditioned eating area. My only complaint is their payment kiosk requesting a tip. Its a fast food place, not a sit-down restaurant with dedicated wait staff. Asking for tips at a fast food is inappropriate in my opinion, and its happening everywhere.

For fast food, its about as good as it gets. Somehow they keep the service level very high, the restaurant clean, and the prices reasonable. If theres a really wide selection and they allow substitutions for most things.

I am not a local so there is probably an opinion about Ivars. This is a chain of low key seafood joints. I personally enjoyed it very much. It is not a Michelin Star place. It is consistent, tasty and not a pocket book killer. Place was packed. Tables were a little hard to find and people didnt buss there stuff like adults should. With that said, place was clean and no complaints about tables, chairs, interior/exterior. All in great shape and taken care of. Menu has alot of options. We notice the soup a little saltier than our preference, but was still good. I would probably not order the salmon again when trying fried fish and stick to the more traditional choices. Everything else my wife and i tried was good. I would come here again without pause.

This was the third time I have been here. The fish was prepared perfectly. The staff is very professional and friendly.

Wish the portion for oysters for the oysters and chips is bigger. But its definitely delicious.

Amazing views of the lake!! Of course if youre lucky to find a spot in the outdoor patio. Try their clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl its really delicious. Very reasonably priced as well.

The BEST clam chowder and seafood.

This location is so much cleaner and friendlier compared to any other Ivars. I would not go to Ivars except for this location in Kirkland. My go to is the Jumbo Shirmp and Chips. Made pipping hot, crispy and perfectly fried here. The Clam Chowder is better at Pike Place Chowder but if youre craving fish and chips while on the waterfront, this is a good Ivars! Parking: Free Parking available on the hill to the right of Ivars.

Sure wish they had these in Oly!! Had the oysters - perfect! Really busy at Saturday lunch, but the staff worked like a friendly machine to keep the line moving and the orders coming.

Love the fish and chips. Great chowder too but I rarely get it because I enjoy the fish and chips so much. One a nice day there is a park across the street that is a great place to take your food and enjoy it.

I just left. After I entered the restaurant and walked up to the counter and waited patiently for assistance. I had no success because no one acknowledged me standing there. I didn t even get eye contact or nothing. They took a phone call instead so I walked out and went to burger master.

Very good cod kibbeling (Alaska Cod) and fish soup, friendly service and great location on Lake Washington. All of this at a reasonable price. Parking: At the house. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything accessible.

The worst fried halibut Ive had at Ivars and Ive had a lot. Honestly, it tasted like cod. The texture was chewy and stringy, like cod. I asked the person at the counter. He said hell ask the kitchen and come back to me, but never did. Someone is trying to make a quick buck selling cod for double the price. Or they got a really low quality fish. The fried salmon was also gray and bland. No way this is wild salmon (as listed on the menu), but at least it was salmon. I paid almost $100 for 4 plates. This is a fast-food restaurant for Gods sake. Its gotten out of control. I give them one star for cleanliness and friendly (albeit unhelpful) staff. I dont think Ill visit again anytime soon, if at all. Makes me question going to Ivars again.

Very friendly staff and great location + parking. Recommend fish and chips and Salmon Chowder. Grilled halibut may not be a good choice. I think its either grilled from frozen or portion being very thin quickly overcooks.

I live right down the street from this place and I always forget about it. The chowders are very very good. I havent tried much else.
