104 Kirkland Ave, Kirkland, WA 98033, United States
We are an intimate, family owned Eastside sushi bar specializing in traditional nigiri and sashimi using the highest quality fish from both Japan and local waters. We offer the largest selection of sake on the Eastside. A great selection of Japanese whisky, and specialty cocktails.
The rolls were very tasty. I also really liked the Japanese beer. The service was great. Thank you, I will come back to you again❤️
Love this spot! Every time we’ve been here the service is excellent, food is on point and the price is right. Great value for a good date night, biz meeting, power lunch etc
The building is small and old, but the restaurant has the Best veggie sushi in Washington state! Love the Buddha rolls!!
We had chirashi bowl and nigiri dinner set. We were happy with the quality of the fish and the speed of the service. However, the plate that the nigiris were on looked rather old and scuffed up. We thought that they should consider upgrading their plates for better presentation, especially given the price point ($32).
First sushi spot I tried in Kirkland and it was really good. Enjoyed all the rolls and miso soup! Will definitely come back.
A great Sushi place in the heart of Downtown Kirkland! We ordered an Ultimate and TNT sushi. They were amazing! The Miso soup was comforting too! Overall a great dining experience!
Great stop for a quick lunch!! They have a decent variety of specialty rolls ~ I appreciated the fact that only a few of them contained tempura and seemed to be more traditional! I feel like new sushi places these days are adding tempura to every single roll... We loved the “Kirkland Roll” which has a cucumber outside! Made it super crunchy and the sesame sauce it came with was a perfect pairing. The “Scallop Truffle Roll” was very heavy on the truffle flavor and had some sort of citrus on top. We couldn’t remember from the menu if it was lemon or lime, but you can’t taste the scallops at all, so we did not prefer that one. I would definitely recommend their Bento Combo specials!! Our friends ordered them and it had a TON of food. Definitely something I want to order if I ever go back!
Crispy rice was too dry. Next time I'll order something else. Ordered to go the second time from this place. Decided to order something different this time...so ordered 4 different kind of rolls. When my order got delivered there weren't any soy souce 🙄 and chopsticks in it......good I had some soy souce at home. The rolls were tasty.
Overall, this was a pretty good place for lunch. Staff was great
Hidden gem for sure, sushi, service, environment top shelf. A5 Wagyu, Super Mario, hamachi jalapeño, ultimate, spicy tuna , so good.
Unbelievably fresh. Simply outstanding. Throw a dart at the menu and order it because it will be fantastic.
Best sushi place in the area for my money. The chicken katsu is to die for, and Ive never been disappointed by their specialty rolls. Their genmaicha is the perfect accompaniment to a Japanese lunch or dinner.
The best green roll I ever had. The tempura was fresh and tasty. The gyoza were decent, but not great and the service was excellent.
Incredible sushi! Try the heart attack roll
Ceviche is average, Nigiri is pretty good.
Loved finding a place that can do both high quality Nigiri and some fun signature rolls!
We ordered a few vegetarian rolls for take out and were really happy with the quality and the price! We will be back again!
Really good food in the Kirkland downtown. Can get busy but worth the wait.
Worst service I ve ever had. The dark haired woman who ended up serving us yelled at my wife and I to sit anywhere upon arrival. after finding a spot and settling in she came up to our table and told us we couldn t sit at a 4 top table and made us grab all of our belongings and move to a small table. After my wife tried to recover from humiliation and calm her nerves and only because we were absolutely starving did we order food and stay to eat anyway. 15 minutes went by and what happened next .they allowed 2 people to sit at a 4 top table next to us, greeted them without humiliation and not made to move or wait like they did for us. it made for such a horrible degrading experience. As two people with decades of serving experience we tip no less than 50% when we dine out if not more. We left 10% for the sole purpose of tipping out kitchen staff and bussers. She deserved nothing. the food was incredible. It s deserves better staff as does the people who walk in to experience it. 0/10
Best sushi in Kirkland- on the east side!
It was good sushi but not great, the selection was a bit limited and far too many of their rolls were crab focused.
food was ok , not good or bad just ok
Absolutely excellent sashimi dinner every time I order! Fabulous doordash option!
We ordered rolls to go yesterday, the rice was very overcooked...
Chicken Katsu!
We probably won t be going back for a few reasons. 1. Service - Our server Tiffany(I think that was her name) was very nice but there was another lady who asked us to move to a different table while we were eating so they can seat 6 people. We didn t mind but if you made someone move in the middle of their meal, you at least expect them to say sorry or thank you but nothing. The way she asked was a bit rude and it kinda ruined our dinner 2. Food - we liked spicy salmon roll so we ordered another one but what they brought didn t look anything like the first roll we got. It was pretty obvious that they dropped the roll and tried to reassemble it. Some pieces didn t even have fish in them. It was pretty comical. We asked our server about it and she said they are going to make us a new one but we just asked them to cancel it instead. Such a shame. This could ve been our sushi spot since their food was pretty decent. There are SO MANY other sushi restaurants in the area and we d spend our money elsewhere that knows how to treat their customers a little better
KIWAMI is our Kirkland go-to for sushi. It came recommended by good friends who know the manager. Not a big place but has a warm, buzzing ambiance. Were really enjoy everything weve tried on the menu and always seem to bump into people we know.
Amazing sushis ! They also carry real wasabi... Recommend to go early or make a reservation as it is unsurprisingly very popular.
Very tasty and fast
This is our favorite sushi spot. The staff is delightful. And the sushi is always fresh and excellent they do a lot of special rolls.
I love picking my own sake glass! So fun! And great food! King crab is special rich now. Funny moss out! Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with food for everyone!
first time trying, ordered for pick up. sushi rolls were delicious! definitely recommend :)
Great sushi at affordable prices.
Food and service are great. Ambience needs a little work.
Taste is not bad, but not authentic in any sense and doesnt match its relatively high price tag. Not sure why its so highly rated.
It was my first time visiting, very impressed with the quality of food, and very friendly staff!
Food 4/5 standard Service 4/5 kinda slow
Great vegetarian sushi options. Enjoyed the friendly service and tasty food. Hot sake was good too. Vegetarian options: Buddha roll, green roll and vegetable roll are very good. House salad with the ginger dressing is fantastic.
Kirkland Roll. Take out order. See attached photo and you decide. I asked for soy sauce- 1 packet- no low sodium available for take out. Asked for wasabi- was told comes with it - I got none. $1.00 Take Out Fee - $15 w/tax.
Cute little place in downtown Kirkland. Great service, relaxing atmosphere and sushi is good. Also tried the sake, They offer a variety of sakes and with your choice of cup. Really cute.
Very good place. Great service. Attaching a receipt of all that we had. Loved everything except for the yakisoba noodles. They were very sweet and the only other tasteypu could get was that of soy sauce. But everything else including our server were amazing! Definitely recommend this place for your sushi cravings! The staff is very welcoming!
Loved it! We ordered a pot of jasmine tea and the combo bento. Nigiri was great, and both the veggie and shrimp tempura were crispy and flavorful
Food is decent, portions are large, and the service is very fast!
Vegetarian options: It has 5 vegetarian rolls, which is more than any other sushi restaurant I ve been to in the area. The prep is clean and tastes great. Recommendation for vegetarians
We enjoyed the bartender / server too. He knows how to get folks talking and great service.
Ive been to a lot of sushi around Seattle /Eastside area, but Kiwami is my favorite go to spot and we eat here regularly. I feel like this is an underrated gem! Great rolls at a reasonable price, with a good fish/filling to rice ratio. I love all their speciality rolls. The wasabi and the ginger is really good. The bento /combo boxes are really good too - comes with a lot of food! Lovely presentation and fish is fresh. Come early since the restaurant is small and cozy, and theyre first come first serve (no reservations). They have friendly and efficient service. Great for casual dates, families (staff have always been so kind to our young daughters), celebrations.
If you re looking for sushi in Kirkland, no need to go anywhere else. Very impressed with the quality and taste of the dishes ordered. Will be back when I return to Kirkland.
Quite good, some of the rolls are pretty unique and delicious!
Incredible spot with great service. If you love Japanese, youll love Kiwami.
What an unassuming gem amidst the downtown Kirkland elite hustle and bustle. Above and beyond service, great food and sake selection!!
After scoundering in the summer heat, all we wanted was a lovely space to take shelter in and a quick bite. we found it here. drinks, special little sake glasses, delicious sushi, and happy tummy s.
Vinny is the best server!! Our 2 year old was losing her sh*t and he saved the day with stickers and oranges. We were able to finish our meal in peace. Thanks Vinny!!
Chefs choice sashimi dinner plate was outstanding! Worth the wait. Dietary restrictions: Several sashimi plates are great keto options. Food : 5/5 |
Delicious food, great for its price, nice waitress :)
Nice find in Kirkland. Great service
Unbelievable dining experience near the water. Excellent customer service and fresh ingredients.
The booths need cleaning...
Best sushi place in Kirkland.
Went there to quickly grab some food for dinner with a friend. Just the most exquisite and buttery smooth salmon and hamachi nigiri Ive had. And right in the heart of Kirkland.
Do not come here if you have a large party or looking for good service. We walked in for a party of 8 and said they couldn t seat us together they were immediately rude and were rude to my in-laws that showed up first. They had to split us in 2 parties of 4 and said we couldn t talk to each other. I went over to the front because I saw a bigger party was leaving and asked if we could sit there, from what I could gather I was talking to the manager he was rude and disrespectful and said I already told your party that we could not accommodate and someone else was going to be sat there. I have never been treated more disrespectfully. They didn t care or want our business so we went to another restaurant and we spent over $400. I just think in a place where service matters we were treated like we were an inconvenience for trying I patronize their location.
Best sushi in Kirkland!
Food was great, but I had the worst server experience I ve ever had. I took two friends who had never had sushi before and so they asked a few clarification questions on the menu. (Not to mention one had an allergy to be aware of.) Our server told us If you dont know what it is, dont ask. It was very condescending & rude. Not to mention we were chatting amongst ourselves, and he would but into our conversation, even if he wasnt serving us anything or asked to be called over. When he brought us our separate checks, we all paid separately as there were three trays. He comes over and goes, Oh okay, I guess more work for me. There were just the the biggest instances but there were many more rude and uncomfortable things that happened that really left a bad taste in my mouth. We should have left the moment we got there, but we had such a busy day that we just wanted to eat. On any normal day, I would have left.
Very tasty sushi
Good
Ok sushi restaurant. Large menu, fish quality ok. The price is a little high compared to others.
Great food, and a Perfect escape for Wonderful sushi in Kirkland
This has been my go to sushi restaurant for some time. Unfortunately, the last few experiences have not been on par with the quality I have become accustomed to. The attached photo is an example from of my last order: each of these scraps of salmon came from a piece of a salmon avocado roll. The quality let alone the size is hugely disappointing, notwithstanding the price. Again, this is not a one off but rather I have noticed a trend and am disappointed.
Ordered sashimi plate and nigiri plate - didnt get all nigiri pieces and no sashimi plate. The fish we got was dry and almost tasteless. Was here a few years ago on a very busy night and the sushi was great - on a slow Wednesday night not so much. Not sure if thats the difference between sitting at the bar and sitting at a table like we did the other night. Just not a good experience this time around.
The food was great. Quality and selection of sushi was great. Drink selection was also nice. Wish the server would have come back more often so we didn t have to wave her down for more beer and wine refills and also the bill (it was not a busy Sunday evening,) she was often chatting with other staff members.
The sushi was really fresh they even have real wasabi which is hard to find let me tell you it does taste different youll be surprised everything was made to perfection and if you are in the mood for sushi this is a must
This used to be a great sushi spot! Not anymore, and I dont recommend it. Every employee on their phone , water was delivered and spilled on the table because the glas was slapped down. The rolls look and taste were way off and definitely not good. You would have to fire everyone and hire all new. Soooo sad .
It s infested with basic witches but over all pretty good
Food was fine but nothing to write home about. Got the lunch bento with spicy tuna roll and pork katsu. The spicy tuna was not spicy. In fact it was sorta bland. The pork katsu wasnt warm at all.bit was room temperature. Just OK
Loved the tonkatsu and sushi
Quite tasty, attentive and friendly staff, large selection, delicious saki options. Definitely will be going again!
Great local sushi!
Excellent sushi! We just tried this place and absolutely love it. We ordered a few rolls and edamame. Since it was our first time there, we asked the waitress for a few suggestions, she recommended the hang ten roll and it was delicious. The only thing I would point out is that the rolls are really big, we are used to having 5 or 6 rolls, but started with 4 and am so glad we did. It was plenty of food for two people. The dining room is small and quaint and fills up fast! Our new favorite place!
TheHacmve a really good Sushi is so good and good service. I highly recommended.
Great place and clean and tasty I love it ! Twan was super nice and welcoming and the lady working him too ! Will surely be back soon
Excellent service and Great food..highly recommended....we will be back for sure....
Solid sushi great service. Really enjoyed the crispy rice app and all their rolls rocked. White Salmon nigiri special was really good and they have shishito peppers.
Small and quaint. They were very busy and only had 2 servers. We ordered crispy rice with tuna, mushroom salad, a roll, gyudon, aghedashi tofu. I liked everything except for the mushroom salad. We first sat at the counter but there were ants crawling all over so we asked to move to another table. It was fine there. But more fruit flies were flying around too. Even for this time of year. I have had better Japanese food. If they had hamachi kama or salmon kama I would definitely go back. I would only go back because my boyfriend liked it there.
The food was good, same with the service. It was a bit pricey for the quality and mou t of food you receive. Overall good japanese food, but nothing exceptional.
Excellent and friendly service. The food is fresh and really good. Sake selection is awesome.
My friend and I decided to try KIWAMI as we were just looking for a new sushi restaurant to try, we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, the place was very clean and nice, the staff were equally as nice and very helpful and attentive when it came to questions about the menu, as someone who typically doesnt do much fine dinning the prices at first seemed a little intimidating, but let me tell you this was some of the best sushi Ive had in a long time, I also tried their yakisoba which was also top notch, portions were generous and I left with a smile, I highly recommend this place and I will be coming back :)
Great food and atmosphere. Easy to find location. Parking is difficult but not their fault!
Best sushi in ages!!! Soooo wonderful. Awesome staff too!!!
Very limited selection, a lot of things on the menu were not available, and the rolls were not memorable. They also slipped in a 6$ upcharge for snow crab which would have been fine if thats what had arrived.
If you ever get a chance to try this hidden gem you have to stop on by! Treat yourself to the Seventh Heaven Roll!
Great foods
Beautiful. Fresh. Clean. Great experiences and food here at Kiwami! Definitely recommend to anyone that s into great sushi should stop by and check out the sushi bar where the sushi chefs are hard at work creating edible art!
The sushi is fresh and delicious, with traditional as well as modern menu items. What we love most about the restaurant is the staff. They are very fun and genuinely seem to enjoy interacting with the customers. They make it a very fun experience.
Outstanding fresh seafood and service at good prices!
Great food and great service!
Great food and service
Not delicate as expected and fish over nigiri is a bit thick, but very fresh food and good service.
Best Sushi in town! We drive from Edmonds just for tye Hang Ten Roll and a chfs choice sampler.
Slow service. Not enough wait staff.
Best sushi rolls on the east side. Staff is always great. The specials are usually interesting and worth checking out. Great cocktails and a good selection of sake.
Food good, service super slow, it was hotter in the restaurant than it was outside and it was 88 outside. Uncomfortably hot when we went, possibly an issue with AC but regardless wont be returning to this establishment
Vegetarian options: Pocas opciones pero sí hay
no people serve us for 10min
the server was extremely unfriendly and rude
My 2nd time at this place, i ordered chirashi don. The sushi rice was soggy and sour (lacking of Mirin). The raw fish wasn t cut well, one of the piece even have a bone in it.
Great sushi
Never going back to this place. Sashimi not fresh. All foods are mediocre and pricy given the poor quality. Waiters and chefs talk in Spanish very loud. Not a great place.
Was visiting the Pacific Northwest to see some friends and had to have some sushi. This is the place we ended up at and I couldnt have been happier. I tend to judge a sushi place on the quality of their Chirashi sushi and on whether they will deliver fried shrimp heads with the sweet shrimp. There was a little mix-up with the sweet shrimp order but I did get shrimp heads and a couple of sweet shrimp tails. The rest of the sushi was delicious as well. Only downside was it was mega expensive. I suppose thats about right for this area though.
EDIT: 8 month review update-- Im knocking 2 stars off because it seems like theres a rude manager or server there. He was condescending when he took our orders. When interacting with other customers he made crass jokes with colorful language mixed in. Not sure what happened, but I wont be coming here anymore. Jan 2022: One of the best sushi places in the Eastside of Seattle.
Great food. The employees were very friendly. Strongly recommend
Good selection of vegetarian sushi beyond just a cucumber roll I got 3 different ones and theres 2 or 3 more to try and also a tofu yakisoba. I would like one with some more protein in it like a marinated tofu. The shiso ume is a fav
Delicious sushi, and good service!
Friendly service and delicious food
Very delicious sushi! Its a popular place so its very fast pace. The staff is friendly and want to take care of the customers The sushi on the left is Hang Ten the sushi on the right is 7th Heaven Roll the bowl is udon noodles def a good recommendation for all 3 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available Parking: Pretty busy area for parking. Its better for walking Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs
Fresh food fantastic service
Very nice Japanese food... Not just sushi or rolls, but Udon noodles and teriyaki were terrific too... They also have a decent collection of Sakes Vegetarian options: They have udon, soba and sushi in vegetarian options.
Wow the customer service was horrible but the food took that to a whole new level! IF I could summarize this restaurant in one word, it would be horrible. I m still in shock how bad the restaurant was. The guy who answered the phone started being passive, aggressive and condescending. he started saying stuff along the lines of why are you calling. You don t have to call why am I wasting your time? I shouldn t have to be there any convenience. In a very condescending way. The food is horrible. It s squishy and it pretty much describes a bouncy house that s half inflated. trust my reviews. Don t come here save your money and if you don t want to get bullied by their staff, choose a different restaurant stay chill I m Michael, and we re out
Medicare quality fish. Overpriced. And overall disappointing. The host was unnecessarily sarcastic when we called. We should have taken the hint & gone elsewhere. Our poor server was very nice but overworked so quite slow.
I had the Hwe-Du-Bop which was a Korean inspired bowl. It resembled a salad with fresh tuna and salmon in it. It was so colorful and satisfying to eat. There s was warm rice at the bottom and it tasted of sesame oil and the hot sauce was great. I would order again!
Katsu donburi was amazing!! Food was a little slow to make it to the table but it was a busy night.
Food is fresh, staff is friendly and got seated quickly. Rolls are good serving sizes
Great food! Cozy and lively music to set a great mood for a date night. Service was disappointing since ALL the servers were more interested in conversing with each other and friends at the counter then delivering food that sat at the counter. There were three girls working 10/29 after 6.
Love this place. There are a lot of delicious sushi options, but also some bento box options that dont include sushi (for those whose friends or family are not sushi fans) Vegetarian options: There are a few options. I recommend the Bento box that lets you choose 2 dishes along with rice and miso soup Parking: Kirkland parking sucks. Lived there for a while and finding a spot down town that is free is very hard. Expect to pay for parking.
Pretty good but a bit pricey compared to other places within the area imo
Always a good option. Food is fresh and clean, beer and sake aplenty. Comfortable and relaxed.
We love all kinds of sushi places, this is our go-to for when we want fancy sushi, usually to celebrate a big accomplishment or milestone. Never disappoints and great for families.
They were out of a favorite item - crispy rice bites. Wonder why they couldnt make more?? Also fairly pricey for sushi rolls.
Ive had the yellow tail twice, yum! And the rolls perfect. I also had the salmon Hama and ohhh so lovely. Thank you. Ill be back. Again and again!
Probably the best sushi in Greater Seattle Area. Always fresh and of very high quality. I recommend them with pleasure.
The food here is very good. My low rating pertains to the exorbitant prices Kiwani charges. Buyer beware; you will not be satiated even after spending $30 per person!
Great appetizers and sushi
We went with some of their recommendations and end up being very happy with it. The sushi is as fresh as it can be! Love the flavors. Awesome customer service!
They charged my bill extra 15% gratuity tips automatically for pick up order without noticing and approval. I drove to pick it up. It is ridiculous. What did they do for me? They printed out the receipt with 15% tip already.
Great place sushi was super fresh and delicious one of the best sushi I ever had in a long time the spider roll its amazing and the Kirkland roll its super fresh and tasty
Rude staff
Here is what you get for a 14$ + tax poke bowl. What a joke!
Got the miso soup, spicy salmon roll, and rainbow roll. Everything was delicious! The staff was very friendly and treated us like close friends.
Kind waiter
Awesome food, excellent service
The flavors and quality of ingredients are good, as youd expect at this price point. However, they need to work on their takeout system. The rolls were soggy, the poke bowl was missing its rice, and the rolls were missing their sides of ginger and wasabi. These are easily fixable issues if we were eating in, which is probably the only way Ill go back to this place.
The food is really good. Better than average, in a region where we generally get good seafood and authentic Asian food. I sat down to eat yesterday and saw that a 20% gratuity is added to all checks. In other words, they make you tip 20%, on top of tax. They could just raise their prices 20% and be honest. Its too bad, I liked the restaurant, but its not worth an extra 20%.
Great little sushi place. Greg knew his sake and was willing to educate anyone on any bottle.
My boyfriend and I go to Kiwami every week for the past month and we are always greeted with professionalism. We order something different every time we go and the food is always fantastic. We are happy that we get the same server (Xuan) every time. She is great at suggesting new things to try. If you are looking for a good sushi restaurant I highly recommend Kiwami. You will not be disappointed.
Me and my family have tried several sushis and other main dishes and everything is great.
I had brunch at this place and had a full day of diarrhea.
The only thing I can taste in my roll is the cheese. I was surprised when they told me from now own you must tip 15% even on pick up orders. It is not my job to pay their employees! They told me they could take it off this time but refused to when I arrived. Thats pretty bad business in my opinion
Delicious food and very kind waitstaff. Some of the best sushi I have ever had!
You can enjoy delicious raw fish rice bowls, udon noodles, and sushi even in the United States! If you miss Korean food, I recommend stir-fried kkwari pepper!
Way overpriced, skimpy portions
One of the best local sushi places around ! The staff is super super friendly and very courteous. This is not a big place so if you are a big group call ahead to see if they can accommodate you . Everything is so delicious but always check the chef specials on the blackboard they are always extra special . Their yakisoba is delicious as well . Highly recommend this place . Gets very very busy weekends however it s worth the wait .
Amazing quality, excellent servers. LOVE the spicy tune roll and house sake.
So,we just got sushi from this place, first time ..and it was so delicious, thank you so much and delivery was so fast ,definitely 5 stars .
over priced. And I ordered sushi rolls through DoorDash. Having diarrhea. Need to go to urgent care.
Awesome and very tasty food
Beware walked in with my daughter to sit down and eat. Mind you, the restaurant was completely empty. The hostess says, feel free to sit anywhere we go to sit down actually anywhere but there. Okay, let s just order to go. 15% auto gratuity added to all to-go sure, let s just sit down again. Sit down, start to look at the menu. Within 30 seconds, as she s giving us tap water, 20% gratuity added to all dine in customers. Well, this is a great way for me to tell everyone I know to not waste your time going to this sushi restaurant. Horrible experience, and I bet they will be out of business in the next six months.
Service was a little slow, but everything else was great
This is our regular dinner place if we come to Kirkland. Good combo dinner w/ salmon & pork tonkatzu, udon w/ tempura, agedashi tofu and unagi sushi. Good and comfort food!
Servers are very rude. They are louder than the customers and used words like shit to you. I wish there is one more sushi joint in downtown Kirkland. I hope the owner is reading this.
Aight
I am a regular here. Really nice staff and great food.
Super fresh fish. Friendly server and covid compliant
Staff was very friendly and food was pretty good. Just be ready to spend $8 for a Sapporo..
This was my first experience being asked for papers, you know like in 1930/40s Germany. That said I understand the predicament these businesses face. After taking care of that the rest of the experience was great. Service was on point, food was amazing, fish was very fresh and delicious. Really loved the atmosphere but its unfortunate King county is hell bent on putting great little gems like this place out of business with there communistic approach to the disappearing flu replaced by a new name. Would love to come back once people stand up to the gov overreach and get back to normal.
Very good sushi, both appearance and taste. Excellent Tempura, very fresh oil, great ingredients, try the seafood tempura. Good Saki. Excellent service.
This place is a GEM! From the warm and accommodating welcome & service~entertaining chef conversation & preparation~fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented sashimi & rolls. New Tradition and many more wonderful memories to come!
Fresh and very good
Good food but slow service!
Honestly just so confused about the high rating for this place - they have a nice atmosphere but unless you re a sushi noob who s never had good sushi (like at Oto Sushi or Japnoessa or really anywhere with good fish) I would stay far away. I ve had $6 rolls that are better than this place and with way better service. The restaurant LOOKS really nice so I understand that someone who isn t really into sushi thinking it s good but if you actually love a good sliver of salmon or tuna, stay away. I spent $55 on two rolls and two apps and I literally would rather have had a plain bowl of rice and sriracha! Next!
This is a (at least) once a week spot for me! Staff is always super friendly and the bar is fun to sit and watch the food being prepared! ... Fish is always fresh and prepared in a clean kitchen! I love these two locations(Mercer Island & Kirkland)
My favorite sushi restaurant East Side of Seattle. Very fresh fish, and sushi thats prepared traditionally (smaller, more tender slices). Friendly staff, and a comfortable environment.
My FAVORITE Sushinplace in Kirkland!!! Awesome friendly staff.
best sushi ever.
Quality sushi. We also enjoyed the chili edamame and tuna tartare.
it was great fish
Very slow service
Their rolls are the best in Kirkland, but if you want a REAL treat order the kaiseki meal. Just make sure you call the day before to check for availability!
Really good food.
