Basic spot serving diverse rolls, plus hibachi-grilled items & Japanese curries, for lunch & dinner.
GOOD FOOD, REALLY BAD SERVICE, SMALL PORTIONS. The food is delicious but overpriced. I used to go regularly and spend $50, but they’ve lost me as a customer. I bought soba noodles to go, and the broth was only half full. When I got home I thought about watering it down since it was basically empty. Broth is so cheap. They refused to provide extra broth at all (even for pay!), and just kept repeating that I would have to order two of the dish. That is ridiculous service. They didn’t even apologize. So they just lost a long time customer and I won’t be recommending them. It’s unfortunate because the food is delicious. Also chicken teriyaki has a different flavor than typical, so I don’t order it here. I feel like this place nickel and dimes you and it’s not how I want to be treated.
Sushi melted deliciously, luxuriously in our mouths -- exceptional preparation. Ordered the nigiri omakase which included ikura, toro, chutoro, otoro, king salmon, yellow tail, sweet spotted shrimp (head fried), several pieces of broiled salmon as well as a roll. it came with me so soup. We ordered some baked mussels and ikura from the Columbia River on the side. Tab came out to $88 for the two of us. Service was attentive and food was prepared very quickly even though the restaurant was full. parking is plentiful and free.
It’s my favorite japanese food. I'm from Brazil and whenever I go to Kirkland I have to eat at this restaurant.
Very nice and cozy dinning room with a sushi bar. Service was flawless. Menu was nice and all the rolls we ordered came out quick and looked BEAUTIFUL. My only complaint is the dishes lacked that umami flavor I really enjoy with Sushi and other Japanese dishes. Maybe I'm being picky, but there was a brown sauce that was poured on 4 of the 5 rolls we ordered that was extremely sweet. (I want to say it was Unagi but it was so sweet I wasn't sure) My favorite roll is typically "the Dragon roll" or Eel with Unagi and fish, I typically get one almost every time I go for sushi. I was shocked at how sweet it was, almost like they had used Oysters sauce in place of the Unagi. The first few bites were delicious but the sweetness kept building and eventually made the rolls sort of a chore to finish. I typically like more Salty, bold, Umami "yummy" flavored rolls so I was disappointed with these as I had to supplement every bite with left over gyoza sauce and the table soy sauce. My pallet is obviously not the final say in flavor but I would only recommend the Sushi Rolls if you like them in the sweeter side. We ordered Gyoza (phenomenal filling and the sauce was perfect) Fire starter roll (the best one that tastes the most like clean fish sushi) Dragon roll (way to sweet) Crunchy roll (way to sweet) Salmon king roll (2nd best of the list) Spider roll (extremely bland unfortunately) Mizo soup was also very tasty. Over all it was still a delicious lunch, just a little to sweet for my preference.
Oto Sushi is my new go-to in Kirkland! It's conveniently near Juanita Park with easy parking. They do lunch and dinner, offering everything from sushi to comfort grub like rice bowls. Inside, it's chill with plenty of seats – never had to wait, even during peak times. The service rocks; they bring out drinks and edamame right away, a cool touch. Lunch is our vibe for the wallet, but dinner has more choices. Fish isn't super fancy, but it beats conveyor belt joints or places in the same price zone. The salmon passes our taste test. Love that they don't overload the nigiri with rice, letting the fish shine. Soy sauce isn't crazy salty, and the free miso soup has a sweet kick. Rolls come in different price ranges, and they're worth it. Our top pick is the King Salmon roll. They're quick with the food – no long waits. We usually drop around $20 per person for lunch. Overall, Oto Sushi nails it with a sweet location, reasonable prices, a mix of options, and tasty bites. Perfect for a laid-back sushi fix!
We love the Oto Sushi in Redmond and we’ve been going there quite often. This time we were in the area and decide to eat here, thinking it would have similar quality. But it was disappointing. The chicken karaage was dry, the batter tasted like dust. The ikura nigiri was quite fresh but somehow bland. The spicy tuna roll was just bland, no flavor compared to what we have at the Redmond branch; the sushi rice was dry, not stick together. It’s really not a good sign that we had food left over and didn’t want to box it to go.
Delicious! Got the Omakase and was not disappointed. Really fresh fish, prepared exceptionally well. I've tried Shrimp Sashimi before, but this was the first time I liked it.
This place is great! The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. And the sushi was delicious. And they give you a good amount of wasabi and ginger. I loved the volcano roll. If you like things that have a little kick to them I would highly recommend. Place seems kid friendly and a large group could fit in depending on the time you come.
Very good sushi spot with huge servings
This is the first restaurant I have found that wont even serve you cutlery or water if you asked for a togo but decided to dine-in! We literally finished our meal in the plastic togo containers with no plates, water cups etc. We have referred many people to this place in the past because of their food but the hospitality by their Kirkland staff had made sure we arent coming back ever!
The best Sushi on the east side.
Nothing fancy but overall good sushi. Not the best; but solid.
Our go-to sushi in the area. Consistently delicious and great yakisoba as well
Always great sushi in Kirkland. Looking for a place to eat great sushi, go to Oto Sushi.
Best Sushi place around!
Total miss from start to finish. Every roll fell apart, many rolls were oddly soggy, fish that wasn t supposed to be warm was, nigiri was extremely chewy and odd tasting. No chopsticks or soy in the to-go bag. Ordered from the Kirkland spot by mistake, won t be returning. Redmond is significantly better.
Very consistent experience. We have it weekly. My wife particularly enjoys the sushi. Parking can be challenging.
Love the food here!
yummers
First time coming in this restaurant and needed help to order as I don t know their menu. The lady at the counter was so rude and really don t know how to deal with the new costumers! There was a misunderstood but I think it s should be fixed without having her almost yelling at me. I came there for a service and paying for it, she should treat clients with kindness. The manager just came and handled the situation. I left really upset and won t come back again.
Their fish and sushi were great and fresh, no complaints there. Their nabeyaki udon needs improvement. For nabeyaki udon, the soup was too salty, chicken was boiled too long so it was very chewy. The shiitake mushroom was also very chewy, might be from a dried kind instead of fresh mushroom. So if you come here, just order their sushi and fresh fish dish.
Great place for rolls. They even have real wasabi
My favorite sushi restaurant.
Favorite sushi restaurant ever! Such high quality fish and good portions. The creamy maguro is my favorite roll in the world.
We only ordered kitchen specials and hot items as this is only place I know that had oyakodon on the menu. The cook I think doesnt know how to cook and may not be familiar with Japanese cuisine. Oyakodon only had chicken and eggs and was missing the critical 3rd ingredient (out of 3) the onions! We also ordered the steak medium rare (the check clearly shows med r) and it was extremely well done. Maybe even pre-made and nuked in the microwave? Well, thats how it tasted at least. It was fairly unappetizing at that point. We ordered right around 4:45 so there were very few other orders so theres really no excuse for these mistakes. Can you imagine if it was during a busy time? Sushi may be ok, but stay clear of the cooked foods!
Rolls fell apart when you touch them. Miso soup was overpowered with salt. Do not recommend.
First time trying blue fin tuna and they hit it out of the park! Exceptional service, fantastic rolls, and all for an extremely justified price. Would absolutely recommend the fire starter roll for your spicy tuna and blue fin tuna fix!
Just ok
our go to sushi joint in kirkland
Not impressed. Atmosphere and food were very bland and basic: open room, bright, no ambiance. We had a variety of standard rolls (rainbow, dragon, etc.) and it was all fresh but very monotonous. The food wasnt plated correctly based on who ordered, either. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt - maybe it was just an off-day, it happens! Parking: Parking spaces throughout Juanita Village.
Amazing vegetarian sushi (make sure to mention no eel sauce) Veggie lover Recommended dishes
Amazing sushi. The rolls are really good and a good selection of other items as well. My favorite place to eat out in the area. Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian rolls and options, though most are focused on fish. Parking: There are a couple of dedicated spots, almost always full around dinner time. It is part of a shared shopping area with parking, but the spots are mostly tight and often close to full near the restaurant at dinner time. Ive always found free parking, but sometimes had to walk a couple minutes from across the complex. Kid-friendliness: Theres not a lot for kids, but they do have high chairs and will do their best to accommodate.
The best sushi in Kirkland!
Holy cow... This was amazing. This is not a fancy restaurant. Everything is super basic, everything except the food! Its a bit of a wait, but everything was so fresh, and the service was awesome. I would recommend their 911 roll, as well as their chicken stir-fry udon.
Nice little sushi joint. All the rolls taste great and fresh. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our requests. I recommend the Avalon roll, absolutely delicious.
Always get the chicken katsu curry here and it never disappoints. Lovely service, good portions and DELISH
Vegetarian options: Its not all in one place on the menu so you have to look, but theyve got the basics like avocado, cucumber, umaboshi, plus a bunch of special rolls. Food
This is such a great place, especially for lunch. Service is quick, staff are friendly and accommodating, and the price is great for what you get! They have some really great unique rolls (like the Lisa Lisa Roll), and excellent fish for sashimi/nigiri. Parking: Parking can be hard unless the parking garage is open for non-residents (which it isnt always). Parking is easiest on the east side of the parking lot.
Sushi was moderate. The lighting was super bright florescent.
Horrible experience with inexperienced waiter(served us something he said was wheat free and it wasnt) dark ambiance and most importantly not good quality sushi. I was so excited to find a new sushi spot but will have to try another. Dietary restrictions: Not clearly marked and waiter didnt understand what wheat free meant
Really great sushi and service. The presentation of the sashimi omakase was awesome.
Always a great experience eating here
Fresh, delicious sushi. Nice range of options. Reasonable prices.
i ordered for pickup, first time trying their sushi and it was amazing! service was fast, sushi rolls were delicious. definitely recommend :)
Decent sushi and veggie tempura. Friendly staff.
Sushi was fine. Environment not so much. Phonk, scream techno, explicit music. For a Mothers Day lunch that wasnt a great vibe. Disappointing. I wont be coming back even if the food was good because of this experience.
Second time here - good quality food for reasonable prices. I found the menu limited, but service was fast and courteous.
The sushi is good. However, there is a huge bug infestation in the restaurant. I literally spent my entire meal swatting flies from my food and picking them out of my drink. When I brought the subject up with staff they blamed it on the heat. Sorry, but I dine out almost daily and do not deal with this problem. It s clearly an infestation in your restaurant.
This place definitely relies on the quality of food. Service is lacking, and during this visit, our server had a bad attitude. Im not sure why shes in this business if she doesnt like people. Sunomono, Hamachi, Spider Rolls, Tempura, and Chicken Yakisoba were all excellent.
Wonderful sushi!! Tried multiple rolls
Great food and service.
Failed to live up to any customer service standard. When we arrived at 9:00pm, they already dont accept dine-in. It is fine, although their business hours is 9:30pm. I ordered to go, and we are left to wait for 30min to get our food, at 9:30pm
I ordered for to go this is ridiculous how they treat they customers
Best sushi for the price. Super consistent. Love it here
So good. Great service. We will be back
I had the chirashi. The sushi rice was just right that made the sashimi taste really good. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.
Excellent food! Poor service!! My wifes teppanyaki dinner came nearly 20 minutes after my nigiri sushi was delivered. Then, our fried banana ice cream dessert was delivered within minutes of her dinner. I brought this up to the waiter. His explanation was that they were closing soon. He offered no apology. There was plenty of time with 42 minutes left before closing! The desert was a melted mess within minutes. We slopped together on our forks to eat while the hot dinner dish quickly cooled down. Oh well, it was a expensive $80 dinner with a cheap dining experience but not worth the price or returning.
I think this Japanese place is really good, and Ive been to quite a few in Washington. This restaurant is very well priced for the quality of the food you get. Everything I ate was delicious, and even things I normally dont care for were good. Ill be coming back here for sure! The only thing I didnt care much for was they were playing the news on the TVs, and I dont think its an appropriate thing to have on. Id rather see a travel channel or something wholesome. Its not a huge deal, though. The other thing I noticed is that they need to dust the wood panels above the sushi bar. Its really whatever, but definitely noticeable and should be handled.
Good sushi but my stomache felt weird after eating it.
I loved Oto Sushi Redmond, and then, when Kirkland location opened, loved the Kirkland location as well. Somehow I havent visited it for a while (since COVID to be more precise) and a couple of days ago remembered about it and decided to stop by. I wasnt sure about working hours, so I opened the location information on Google maps and... saw how many 1-star ratings the place recently got - most about the quality of the service. I felt very sorry that such a nice place ended up getting so much worse and almost decided to go somewhere else instead, but ultimately still went to Oto - I had to see it with my own eyes. And I am very happy that I did. NONE of the stuff I read in the recent negative reviews turned out to be true. Although I came long before the closing hour so I cannot attest to comments of the type they didnt want to seat us 30 min before closing. Fish was the freshest, rolls were tasty - as always before that. Now to the service - we were seated immediately, served with hot tea and edamame within 1-2 minutes of being seated. Once we were ready to order, it was taken right away and we started receiving our food (some were brought a little earlier, some a little later) maybe within 10 minutes or so. During our time there (30-40 minutes) we were approached by 3 different members of staff checking on us - the tea was added twice (as soon as someone saw our mugs were not full), we were asked if we liked the food and everything was ok, whether we wanted anything else, the check was also brought immediately as we wanted to pay and the receipt came in less than a minute after. The staff was attentive and caring, everything was smooth and quick. Im happy to see the good old Oto Suchi exactly as I remember it from several years ago.
So I have only been to the Redmond Oto but this one is keeping the standards as high as Redmond. Hands down ,oto is The best sushi I tried in Washington. We tried the sashimi and nigiri. Dynamite baked roll is amazing with a hearty miso soup. The Japanese green tea is a great touch in this weather. The service is nice and courteous.
I ve been going there 3 days a week for years and I ve always felt welcomed and the food s been great. I don t know if it s COVID related or what but lately it s just really cold and unfriendly. You d think they would be more friendly, especially to such a devoted patron. I think I ll take a year off from Oto and see if anything changes. There s other sushi restaurants that don t seem so lazy. Go to sushi Chinoise or Izumi if you want better sushi and atmosphere.
Our favorite sushi place! I prefer cooked hot meals (judge me all you want) and this seem to be the best place to get them..
Stellar service, stellar sushi, and well-priced! 10/10 will be back here again!
Wanted to try a different Japanese restaurant in the area. I was a little disappointed. Prices were a little high. Overall taste was ok. There are other places I like way better. Service was nice.
Really good food and the people are very attentive. My only complaint was that I wished they played Japanese music.
So glad we can sit and enjoy our sushi in the cozy atmosphere.
Pretty good sushi.
Dragon roll 5/5 Salmon king roll 5/5 Double salmon roll 4/5
Love this place! Great lunch combo with katsu, sushi, miso soup. I also loved the green tea and service. It was a very good amount of food with a lovely ambiance. It was my first time and I ll absolutely be back many more.
Sushi was really fresh and tasty. Would totally go back.
We ve been going here as a family since they opened several years ago and have always loved it! The food was always fantastic, it really is such a bummer the service has gone so downhill I honestly don t think I ve ever experienced service quite as bad as this. We took my sister, her boyfriend and my mom out for dinner here and the service was atrocious. We had to ask for everything. We had to ask to order our food, then when our appetizer came we had to ask for chopsticks, for napkins, for drinks, for soy sauce etc. When the waiter brought our drinks I decided I wanted a coke as well and he took back the water he had already set in front of me?? The waiters were so beyond rude and it was very hard to get their attention the entire time. Even when we were trying to get the check we had to ask them multiple times! When my husband went to take the check from the waiter they let it drop on the ground and then just walked around to the back. If it weren t obvious they were upset before it was then. I wasn t going to write a review but we tried so many times to get in touch with the manager to talk about our experience and she also ignored us. The food is still good so if you re going to order from here I recommend getting take out.
Our family s favorite sushi place
Tuna sashimi is not fresh.
Had worst service in my life. After 30min waiting our order I asked the waiter if he could double check. He came back and said its not worked on yet. I saw everyone came before us have been eating so wonder if they forgot and prepare others order first, but the waiter asked said: which group came after you got the food? Which one? If you dont want to wait you can cancel your order. We are very busy and the online order took even 1 hour waiting! Cancel if you want! Wow, that threat is real, so we left. Will never come back
Great sushi as usual. Yet felt rushed at 9pm on a Saturday evening service was ok. Didn t do much to accommodate us for a more enjoyable experience and was rushed through dinner.
Oto Sushi, particularly this Kirkland location, has impressed me every time Ive been there - which totals around 15, now. Whether you opt for sashimi, the cooked foods, or rolls, the quality and taste are phenomenal. Pro tip for those who eat meat: order the Cowboy Roll (I dont think its on the menu anymore, although theyll still make it, but trust me, you wont regret it)!
Really great service, great food!
There is that one particular server who is extremely rude and unprofessional. She spilled my beer, made a mess at the table, covered my phone in liquid then ran away so I had to clean up everything myself. When I asked for more napkins and help finish cleaning up the table, she appeared bothered and annoyed. Total disaster! Food quality is below mediocre too. Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be and they have lost me as a customer for good.
This place has horrible service, went in to dine in and they didn t even acknowledge us and three other couples in line. They didn t say hello or how long of a wait we were expecting. After waiting about 30 minutes to be seated we get handed our menus and we knew exactly what we wanted to order, when I told the waiter I was ready he just told me wait and walked away.. then proceeded to help other tables and clean up other tables, we decided to never dine here again because of the service so unfortunate
I lived in Japan for a few years and this place is the most authentic Ive found on the Eastside. They have real fresh wasabi! You have to ask for it.
Big portions, high quality. Food was great, arrived with a party of 8 and only waited 30 minutes for a table. They even have options other than sushi for people like me who are not a big fan. Nice and relaxing restaurant with friendly staff. Cannot ask for much more.
Out Of The Many Times We Have Been Here, Our Sevice Has Sucked A Few Times. Not Enough To Give Lower Stars. Food Is Great. Atmosphere Is Mediocre But Who Cares. Just A Review
Food is great, the service is very bad. It is sad, that the servers can make such a huge effect for customer to come back again, even if food is good. I hope the owner will read this. I hope the servers are not relatives so that he could fire them. The attitude of them felt that they had no respect for customers. I usually appreciate good service and tip good. I felt that they didnt deserve it. Hope they learn from my comment. They are cutting on their earnings.
Closed at 8pm on Sunday!!! Website says 9:30 .sad
2022 update: Went again and was sorely disappointed. The price was not worth the quality in an area saturated with sushi and the like. They forgot a component of the curry katsu dinner and the rolls, while presentable, did not impress. 2013: Had the volcano roll and the lion king roll the latter was a wonderful improvement on the california roll. Id definitely come again were I nearby.
Food is Fantastic service is Great. Love taking my family for Dinner here. The food is amazing!!
Their sushi is good but their customer service is just garbage, and today Ive had about enough. We live just up the block from the place so weve been coming here for years. Every time we come here we are given this annoyed look like they are annoyed to serve us. When we are seated the waiters are always unhappy and snappy. We have to ask for utensils, for plates. Today we came an hour and a half before closing and they gave us an annoying look and refused to seat us stating that they dont have any available tables and that the wait is 30 minutes just as a table was getting ready to pay and leave. Theyre constantly closing in the middle of the day to take a lunch break all together and then reopen hours later. Like I said, their food is good but I can no longer stand their poor customer service.
Delicious and affordable. Creamy Maguro are the best
Always hits the spot!
Dont rely on the information provided by this place. We were turned down 40 minutes before posted times and insulted and cursed by three or four thugs with Oto Sushi t-shirts. Opening hours on this site and on their door are not true and dont mean anything. The rude staff opens and closes as they please.
The guy who named demetrio is a liar totally.they are come here around 2:08pm,because we will close at 2:30,our waitress told them only togo. The guy starting complain,we say sorry ,but that guy looks grumpy and curse our waitress, that why I argue with him.As a man cursed a lady, shame on you
Delicious! Will definitely make the trip from Kent to eat here!
Best Sushi around Kirkland!! And the staff are super nice and helpful.
We got there, right when they opened, so we were their only table. First we asked for low sodium soy sauce, and they said the one on the table is the one - Come on, I eat sushi 2/3 time a week and can t taste the difference between low sodium and the regular sodium sauce?!? . Then we had to remind them about our calamari after all the sushi were on the table, and they forgot to put it in ( it was very busy as I said..) calamari came out when we already finish all the food. We asked for the bill, and then after 5min we went to the register to pay, because the waiter was to busy on his phone very poor service, and overall unpleasant experience! Would never go back as there s other better places than this.
Passable sushi. Sub standard service. Servers lady was quite rude the whole time. Virtually tossing food into table and walking away. It was strange. Giving at least 4 stars so I don t punish the business for a server being rude.
Our place to get our sushi fix. Great service and quality sushi.
Super good!!! Love it!!!
Best kept secret!!!!! Please tell everyone!
Always the best sushi in town. I lived in Japan for years and Oto is like walking into a neighborhood place in a suburb of Tokyo. Fresh wasabi!
Hh on saturday, delicious sushi, udon and more
Granted Im not into raw fish sushi, but I love eating here. I get the super California roll, which is a fried California roll and the Buddha roll which is the veggie roll and theyre both delicious. Ive been going for years for these two rolls and even now that Ive moved away every time Im in town I have to swing by and grab these rolls.
I love coming here!! Its always delious. My favorite sushi rolls are the spicy tuna, Mexican roll and the Otto roll. Both locations are amazing!
I have been ordering from here for the past 5 years - always a perfection. What stood out was fish freshness, roll quality and after taste. Well all of it is gone with one order. Today we had the most mediocre conveyer belt sushi we ever had. Fish was NOT good, rice was sticky, and rolls weren t cut all the way through. After moving to Bothell and driving ~30 min to this place to get good sushi - never again. Reason for posting this is to get management to realise that something is not working for them to change back quickly.
As someone who doesnt eat seafood, I really appreciate the cowboy roll.
Very well presented and prepared sushi of various kinds.
Delicious delicate edible art
Finally open for sit down again!
Our favorite neighborhood sushi/japanese food place.
Forgot what I ordered but it was freaking amazing.
The food was okay, but the service was not good. Were definitely not planning to go back.
Ill be real, this place was a disappointment. Decided to go based on reviews and it was not a great experience. The server was abrupt and borderline rude. They are also out of stock of many items. The missing items are across the entire menu, drinks, sushi fillings, desserts. The sushi was okay, but nothing to suffer the service for. If you are going to get sushi from here, get it to go.
Absolutely delicious! First sushi place weve been to since moving here a year ago. Definitely impressed! Very fresh and flavorful; excellent service and very quick. Will definitely be going back.
My favorite sushi restaurant! Great prices, great service and delicious combinations. Try the veggie lover! It has deep fried sweet potato.
They are very fast, friendly and the sushi is excellent. Lots of specialty rolls, and the sushi flights (especially the deluxe salmon flight) are excellent. I have had sushi all over the world; this is our local go-to.
One of the best sushi around Seattle. Really good menu for Vegetarians! Always good and fresh.
A lot of really good sushi
Very bad at services!!! I have been waiting at the front door for several minutes, and the server just chill around at the back. I have shown them I have two persons for dine in couple times, but no one actually come to greet and seat me around until 5 minutes later! The waiter is very rude!!! After we get our seats, we have been waiting for almost 10 minutes, NO ONE gives us water or take the order. Then the rude Chinese waiter finally ready to take our order, but he left to seat others while taking our order?! What the hell! Never see such an unprofessional restaurant! Finally, the waiter took our order, and he slammed the menu on our table to show his unsatisfactory on purpose! We decided to leave, and kindly pay our order as to go! I will NEVER go to this restaurant again! This restaurant doesn t deserve it! This is the only restaurant in Great Seattle area which is this kind of rudeness! I feel really upset about it! To the restaurant owner: PLEASE give necessary training to your waiters. They need to know how to show respect to the customer, and be responsible for their behavior.
Great place, Saturday evening was very busy but service was great and Sushi delicious
The rolls were wonderful, as was the chicken, and decently priced. The staff was friendly too. Just wish there was better parking in the area, but that goes for most places here. I would definitely recommended trying it if you enjoy sushi.
Best Sushi in town! My favorite roll is the lion king.
Amazing sushi at a reasonable price! Staff is very friendly as well
Best sushi in the area. Great service, large variety of rolls and a menu full of non sushi options as well. Fresh and delicious. Thank you Oto!
Great takeout for a picnic in the park
This review is purely about their food, which I took to go. I have no insight about the service as a restaurant. I must say the food was really good. I chose a few rolls that had deep-fried elements which remained crunchy for almost an hour after ordering. Serving sizes were sufficient. Decently priced items. They did take a little longer than one would expect to get the order ready, but the food was good enough for me to not dock a star. Would definitely order here again.
Perfect order and always fresh
During COVID-19 on the take out food, the reason why I give them 1 stars because the service (waiters) did not do a great job based on being aware of customers waiting outside like example, they did not come outside to communcate the customers name and my buddy and I are highly disappointed with the two waiters that who works there, have no manners, and very rude people. Also, seems like they dont care about the customers and feels unsatisfied. Additionally, I think they need to work on communication, aware of customers, giving updates of status, and manners. Other then that communication is the key to success with everything.
Great sushi! You can blindly order anything and it will be delicious! Id suggest Spider Roll (soft shell crab) and Mt. St. Hellens (seared scallops).
LEGIT
Best sushi place in Washington. Ive eaten here a million times and the food never disappointed. Sushi was so fresh and taste. I cannot recommend this place more.
Never disappoints!
Disappointed with the service. Multiple 15 minute delays after the pickup time.
Customer service was extremely lacking. People were piling up at the door, no one there to look at sign-in sheet. A mess. Under-staffed. But, the food is good.
Loved the teriyaki and the sushi
I was really surprise today by the fishs quality in Oto Sushi (Kirkland), super super good, very tasty. Honestly, I was very hesitate to step in this restaurant since I had a very bad experience in Oto Sushi (Redmond) before. However since its labor day holiday and lots of restaurants closed, I just picked up this one. But, big surprise! I chatted with their staff and they told me its same boss for both Oto Sushi (Redmond & Kirkland), and they are so surprise that I experienced totally different before in Redmond. Thus, I decide to give the Redmond branch another chance, will try soon.
I come to this place with my wife when the kids are in school. Such a great spot to sit and enjoy fresh, delicious sushi during lunch time happy hour.
We went there first time with four of us. All others except mine arrived ok but my plate didn t arrive until everyone was done. I only ordered uni and ikura... there was no Asian except us and both waiters were super rude. No apology about my order. He just said they were busy and told me to wait another 2 mins... Thus place discriminates own races and I will never go back!
Still my favorite go to Sushi place. The fish is quality, the service is good. Food is really good.
$50 omakase felt underwhelming. Quality was good, service was sub-par, and the portions were tiny.
I love it
Horrible service! Wait time forever!
The staff are friendley and the quality of food is good but not perfect and still better than other sushi places in Kirkland
Good authentic sushi
Horrible service and extremely rude servers. Sushi was alright. Nothing great. Won t be going back.
Salmon roll is light and delicious! Peas are also delicious
Clean and fast service!
Our favorite sushi spot in the area! Great, quick service, and the sushi is fresh and delicious!
Their katsu curry was my favorite. Good Japanese curry with sweet onion flavors. But some of the rolls were too western (too much cream cheese, avocado, etc)
We just walked in and walked out, the whole place smelled like pee, the restroom had no lock and the waitress was rude and not welcoming
Oto sushi has always been one of my favorite restaurants and yet again has not disappointed. Chirashi Bowls are always a treat for any sushi lovers and California rolls with snow crab is always delicious for those who arent. From start to end oto sushi is a great place to eat.
Excellent sushi that is always consistent in taste & freshness whether its dine in our carry out. Thanks for running such a nice restaurant!
Great food and service at a reasonable price
Always fresh, and service is always fine. Nothing about the experience will be particularly memorable; aside from that, no complaints.
Food is great and service is fast. If the weather allows it, it is nice to order take-away and eat at the beach
Absolute favorite place in the Kirkland area. The staff are super friendly and the food is something I miss as I dont live there anymore!!! Ive had sushi at other places, but this is where I took my friends, family, and loved ones.
