12549 116th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98034, United States
Family-run nook featuring health-minded Thai fare including curries & stir-fries plus beer & wine.
Delicious, authentic Thai foods! My favorite dishes were Tom Yum soup and shrimp fried rice. Both dishes reminded me of authentic flavor in Thailand.
I thought I'd try a different Thai place and this one was convenient. So I ordered takeout Chicken Massaman Curry with medium spice. The chunks of potato are green and inedible, and the curry is sweet and bland. Good thing the chicken and rice are good. I won't go back.
Quite nice little place. But not tidy. Food has average flavor, Nothing spectacular ,or anything special to make it standout. Actually little disappointing. Was hoping food would be good, and taste more authentic after seeing this nice old owner lady, but actually the results were the opposite. Also portions were small. Maybe meant for small person. That makes their food pricy. Must order several dishes to get full. They skimped on the seasonings quite a bit. You can taste the difference, food taste like it is watered down, and diluted with lots of water. Still taste like thai Must choose another place for Thai food destination
I rarely write restaurant reviews, but this place feels special, so I want to share my thoughts. The sensory experience appeals to all of your senses from the moment you step through the door, the spices catch your attention. As you are being seated, with food delivered to other diners, you can't help but notice that it is visually appealing. As you study the menu, it is a bit of a dilemma, but you can't justify ordering one of everything! You make your choices and place your order and as it arrives it caps off the whole sensory experience.
A new discovery in my neighborhood. I tried a couple of Thai restaurants when I moved to Kirkland and this restaurant gets my best rating. Beyond having good food, I want a place that feels welcoming. It is an added bonus that this place is family run.
I have tried and loved all kinds of Thai food throughout my travels, but I always come back for my favorites - Pad Thai, Pad Prig, vegetarian spring rolls, and mango with sticky rice. Everyone needs a local restaurant where you are always welcomed with a genuine smile, where the food is tasty, the spices are authentic, and the prices are reasonable. This restaurant has always been that place for me.
We ordered chicken and seafood Pod Thai and they were spot on with a perfect mix of texture and flavors. The heat was just right for our taste, but the spice level could be adjusted. Given the quality of the food and the portions, Thumra Tai offers a great value.
We came on. quiet Monday afterrnoon. We ordered Lard Na and Tomyam noodle soup. And wow it was so good! The lard na has a lot of meat, the pork was thin wide slices and very tender with lots of veggies. The tom yam soup was also very tasty. Maybe it's just me, but it tasted very authentic, they put chunky peanut and they use ground shrimp powder. These arre really beyond the standard Thai food I usually have. Will come back :) Please try it. Forgot to add, the owner was very kind and friendly and she gave me the pickled jalapeno that I asked :)
Always wonderful service best thai on the eastside maybe even all of washington
Tried Pad see ew it was horrible
Not the best Thai but it was ok.
Quiet, cozy, small booths, peaceful music. Great for the over-stimulated. Food: veggies are cooked to tender crisp and have great crunch. Not over-sauced, or over salted or over sugared at all. Delicious!
Cute little Thai place with a very sweet owner. Many dishes, all of them good. Give them a try! Parking: Large strip mall parking lot Kid-friendliness: Low key setting
Best Thai food ever!!! Very clean and excellent service!
Over the years, this place has become very expensive and portions have become smaller
I have been to this place twice in the last few months. The noodle dishes have no flavor except spice. Even one star was so over peppered that we had to choke down our food. It was a waste of almost $50 for 2 dishes and a Thai tea.
I had Curry for the first time. And it was delightful
Our new Thai find... Its been here for quite some time, were new here Drunken Noodle Soup was yum and so was the Curry Fried rice. We ordered it with Fried tofu and loved it. To finish off the meal we ordered the Black Rice Pudding is something youd want to kill for! Highly recommended.
Service was great, the lady that served us was kind, food was ok, more on the spicy side in my opinion but otherwise it was good. Place was small, quiet and clean.
Just got our take out food home. We started trying this place and have been happy when eating in person. I was disappointed to see this is how much of a dinner portion of Panang Curry chicken is. This container, white rice, and Vegatable Pad Thai was $30.75. Asking for a side of chili sauce resulted in they were out and packeted Siracha sauce. I will have to start looking at other Thai options.
Nice restaurant with nice ambiance
Chicken satay is fire!
Wonderful food, and friendly staff. I got takeout from here tonight, and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you, and I will definitely be back.
I was greeted by a friendly face promptly and my order came out quickly but the chicken in the curry was very dry ( not tenderized) and the tofu in the noodle dish was like rubber. I ve eaten at many Thai places in my life and this is one is not at par with the many others I ve tried. I think perhaps they pre-cook the chicken and tofu.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Thai food. I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and always impressed with food, the service and the atmosphere. This restaurant is run by husband and wife in their late 50s who are very friendly and welcoming. Recently they are facing tough time medically and deserve your support during this time. Please support this restaurant by dining or order online here soon!
Great lunch and dinner place and super nice owner. Mom and pop place, hard working, genuine Thai food.
This is an amazing mom and pop place. The service is always friendly and the food has never disappointed.
Quantity was pretty less for the price and they missed a couple of veggies in the stir fry that were mentioned in the menu. Flavor wise the food is good though. Food
Amazing food and a calm atmosphere.
Very good. The best in the east side
This is one of my favorite Thai places around. The food is amazing and the owners are family. A group of us eat here every week and always super satisfied with the quality of meal and the absolute attention to customer service. Is impeccable. I love and appreciate Sophie.
Im fairly new to the area, and this place has quickly become a favorite lunch spot. The restaurant is small and quiet and has a friendly, family vibe. The food is great -- fresh and flavorful and interesting. My go-to is the Drunken Noodles, which are a really satisfying lunch, with just the right amount of spice. Ill be coming back regularly! Highly recommended.
Its in a strip mall. Dont let that sway you, the food here is exceptional. I do not live nearby, but anytime I am traveling north, I would get off the freeway just to stop here for lunch.
Small and quaint, but overpriced and not authentic. Lunch specials are just full priced entrees posted on a lunch menu. Yellow curry is made with curry powder, not traditional curry paste...theres a difference! Red curry was tolerable, but the chicken tossed into it was severely overcooked and difficult to chew, possibly microwaved. Only things I can recommend here are the pad Thai and Thai tea, which were tasty, but not made to our order specifications. Overall, service is slow, not particularly welcoming or inviting, and the prices are rather high for the quality of food you get. I doubt I will go back. UPDATE: I appreciate the owners response, but its not an honest reply. Ive been eating Thai since I was a child, I have Thai friends that are as close as family, and I even had my honeymoon in Thailand! I cook Thai dishes myself and make my own curry paste at home. I can pick apart spices in dishes like few can. If you dont use curry powder in your yellow curry, then I dont know what was going on the day I visited! Perhaps you had a substitute cook who didnt fully understand how to prepare your dishes? Perhaps you didnt make the curry in-house? Either way, it was not a proper Thai style yellow curry. Also, Im very familiar with Turmeric, as I cook with it regularly and also drink it mixed with ginger in a glass of orange juice every morning! That is not the flavor that made the yellow curry so disappointing. Also, regarding the chicken, theres a difference between properly cooked and overcooked. Not only am I a cook myself, but I am also a ServSafe Manager, so I understand food safety and the appropriate degrees of cooking necessary in order to minimize health risks. Your chicken wasnt just safe, it was cooked to the point of nearly being inedible!
How can you make horrible curry? it was green water with Thai spices.
The food here is awesome. The owner is very kind. Recommended!
I ordered chicken satay and Siam ocean delight. Both were excellent. In fact, they were so good I ordered exactly the same dishes the next time. The place is exceptionally clean and service is superb. I ll be back to sample more of the menu.
Spa-like, intimate atmosphere with terrific thai food
Their food is well prepared, fresh, tasty, from good ingredients. Currently my favorite Thai in this area.
The whole family works there and the husband cooks. FANTASTIC, AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD. So good. Ive been going there for 15 years and they know my dad and me and our orders on sight! ETA several years past that review - STILL fantastic. I always get the Thom Kar soup before the meal (shared) and I always get the massaman (peanut) curry with chicken and rice (only complaint - need way more rice especially when sharing!) And my dinner date (so to speak) got the drunken noodles with prawns. Everything was cooked to perfection, my friend cleaned their plate! I have never had some of the older reviews problems with undercooked prawns (my dining partners looked perfectly grilled) and my chicken in both the soup and curry didnt taste/feel microwaved (speaking as someone who actually *has* attempted to microwave a chicken breast to avoid the tedium of real cooking). Trust me - this is FAR superior to my microwave attempts! The ONLY food there that I wouldnt recommend is the pad Thai. Its not very peanut -y, has a strange red sauce on them. If you want AMAZING phad Thai, go to the crossroads mall food court. Seriously. Not kidding. Huge portion sizes, and you will keep eating until you cant anymore and still have half to take home! ETA3 the family that runs this restaurant are very diligent with mask-wearing. They no longer require proof of vaccination though. Vegetarian options: Tofu is a protein option, and there are a couple dishes and appetizers featuring them as vegetarian - friendly and/or have the ability to swap out for tofu. Dietary restrictions: Very good about allergies and special changes to an order due to food allergies/intolerances - I have severe food allergies and rarely eat out because of cross contamination (yes, Im *THAT* allergic). Ive never needed an EpiPen in this restaurant which is saying something considering how many things available in their kitchen that Im allergic to. Parking: Tons of parking, including a handicapped spot or 2 next to the ramp up to the sidewalk level Kid-friendliness: Well... I guess it depends on the age of said kids and how picky they are! Pre-3rd grade I probably wouldnt have liked the food (typical PB&J /Mac n cheese childhood) and the atmosphere isnt great for a fussing baby (plus most of the seating is booths so it would be difficult to get a baby carrier onto a bench. Personally, I recommend getting takeout here and something else for the kids unless they have a taste for authentic Asian foods. Wheelchair accessibility: See above w/r/t parking - chairs in the restaurant is doable if you get there early for dinner (like, 5pm) and can snag a table you can simply remove a chair or two from, because the majority of seating is booths. Their restroom isnt great for wheelchairs. No stairs though? ¯\_( )_/¯
Great local Thai food. Always quiet and reasonably priced. I have had better Thai food but I still come here a few times a month and always leave happy.
I have been going to Thumra Thai for the last 8 years and they never disappointed me, I have a very pleasant experience whenever I go there, feels home and the food is tasty.
I ve been coming here for the duration of the pandemic and this will be my first choice any time. Always good. Always fresh. Portions are great. Spice level is amazing!
Excellent food and excellent prices. Best Thai food in kirkland.
Honor their stars! I like to order cashew chicken with 4-5 stars at most Thai restaurants. Order 4 stars the first time if you like it hot.
Best drunken noodle
Service oriented, good food, run by an older couple who take care of their patrons.
The best Thai place around here. And its family owned. I love their tom yum noodle soup and pad thai, but the best is their home made coconut ice cream with black rice pudding!
This restaurant is a destination for me, specially leaving my house on a 30min drive just for this food almost once a week for over 5 years. Absolutely the most delicious Thai food I ve ever had in my life, and every single person I ve ever shared it with has said the same. The owners craft their recipes around health and quality ingredients, but it s the incredible taste that keeps me coming back! Recommendation: Pad See Ewe with chicken
What a wonderful little gem. The food was very good (Drunk Noodles and Shrimp Pad Thai) and the ambience was quite homey.
Lovely place with lovely people, I like to dine in and enjoy their good food.
Delicious noodles. Not overly sauced and plenty of vegetables! Highly recommend!
I like this place hence this review. Im not sure what else to say. It is Thai food. If you like Thai food it is likely you will like this place. The lady is nice as well.
Good food. Catfish dish was fabulous. Used gluten free soy sauce, & took time to proof it Understand what gluten free means. Must show your vaccination card, which is much appreciated. Pricing is moderate per dish. My lunch was with appetizers, Thai tea & main dish, so seems pricy but not for 3 itemd
Best Thai food in the area owned by a lovely family. My go to for over a decade for food made with love.
Very very very bad , the food was terrible I could not swallow even a little of their pad thai Don t waste your time
Either we came on the wrong night, or some of the other reviewers never had good Thai food. Sorry. This was a very disappointing experience. I always try to write about the positives of an experience, but the best I can say is its a clean and quiet restaurant - because there was no one there. Even the server kept disappearing for long periods of time (but when she came, she was on the phone most of the time - yes, having a long conversation while serving out food). We had two dishes: * Bangkok Chowder (described as Hearty Meat, Vegetables, and egg flour Soup with Cilantro). I thought it was a typo and should be egg flower soup, but no.. it was a bland (yet salty) chicken broth, heavily thickened with flour (the main ingredient), with shaves of boiled chicken, about a dozen hair thin slices of carrot (how did they cut it this thin? couldnt even taste it!) and two (2) cilantro leaves. There may have been some egg-whites mixed with the flour - I couldnt tell. My grandmothers Polish chicken broth (before adding vegetables and Sleazeballs) had WAY more flavor than this. * Panang Curry (described as Very creamy and spicy dish includes your choice of meat, coconut milk, bell peppers, basil, and lime leaves). It was in fact a very watery and spicy liquid that contained very few pieces of meat and two (2) slices of red bell pepper - each less than 1/8th of an inch thin!
Place is small and cozy. Food is good. No real complaints. Portions are a bit small. No Thai chilis in fish sauce, so that was a bummer. Wooden, disposable chopsticks upon request. No one in our group was overly impressed by the food. Not a replacement for the usual spots we go to, but its not bad.
Good family-run restaurant. Legit Thai flavors, which isnt always the case with how popular Thai is
Superb tastes and textures! Everything was delicious. Great service too, esp in Fridays!
Our favorite Thai food!!!!
Best Pad Thai Ive ever had. And Ive had a lot of Pad Thai from a lot of different Thai restaurants.
Tom Yum was relatively good, with expected savory and sour elements. Missing the lemongrass a bit. Cashew Chicken was not good, missing the sweet and sour chili jam and in place was more of a common savory sauce. Menu items list ingredients and food should come with those ingredients. Missing was onion, and added was cabbage and celery. Celery changes this dish substantially. For this reason I always evaluate a Thai restaurant on Cashew Chicken. When filler components not listed on the menu are added, I do not return. Not following the recipe on the menu suggests that proper food care may not be present.
Phat Thai is great! Try it out!!
There was a summer where I picked up takeout from here around once a week. Just ordered takeout again after a long time and was reminded of how great this place is! I absolutely love the chicken pad see ew here! I get this dish at every Thai place I go to and the way they make it here is definitely the best! Large portions with very fresh vegetables and meat make it so you don t feel heavy and disgusting afterwards, but rather like you got your daily nutrients in. Would recommend :)
Favorite thai by far!
I ordered the Pad See eW with 5 star spicy for take-out. The flavor and spice was great and the vegetables were fresh. I was happy with the serving sizes and the amount of Chicken in the dish. They also are taking COVID precautions, if you care about that sort of thing
It s hard to mess up spring rolls but this place did. How this place stays in business is amazing. The service needs work. My main course was sub-standard. It s Thai food how can you mess it up unless this place is ran by people who don t know Thai food.
Best thai food in town! Great service
Not the best place in Kirkland. Food portions are small and look very bland. I enjoy using chopsticks and they didn t provide one for me, probably because I m white. Old lady who works here is kinda rude
Amazing, authentic Thai foods! We love their Phat See Ew and Khao Soy Chicken. We usually get seafood Tom yum soup.
This has become our go to spot for Thai food. Ive ordered something different every time, and its all been good. The lady that waits the tables is not super friendly or chatty, but she is in no way rude or inattentive. Its always quiet in the restaurant, which I appreciate. Seems like a lot of people get take out here. Weve only dined in, but I would highly recommend this place
Had the chicken and vegetable stew and a salmon curry, both very good. Quiet family style place.
Yes
One of my favorite thai restaurants in the city. The food was so tasty and felt home-like. Its surprisingly less expensive and I highly recommend.
Not sure what s going on here, but maybe I caught them on a bad day. Everything is extremely bland and doesn t seem very fresh. When I tried to talk to them about it I got laughed at. :( Maybe my trips to Isarn Thai are changing my standards... UPDATE: They came back with the bill and gave me half off of my order. Updating to 3.
Best Thai food I ve ever had!! The owner is such a sweet lady. Definitely a hidden gem.
Delicious Thai Food for all the family. Myself and my wife love the food here. Our kids too. They gobble down the Thai fried rice with aplomb every time. I love the curries and drunken noodle. The pineapple fried rice is delicious also. Weve eaten in but usually get takeout. Fantastic option for a lakeside picnic at OO Denny Park. The owners are so friendly. We keep going back for more.
Thumra Thai never disappoints. Excellent service. A terrific Thai neighborhood restaurant. Its almost like visiting your favorite aunt who happens to be a great cook. Never full, its one of Kirkland best secrets!
Nice tasting food. Cup of soup comes before lunch.
I have eaten here about once a week for the last 3 years. The chef here makes the absolute best Phad See Ew I have ever had. I dont even order anything else, so I cant tell you how good other dishes are. I do know their Phad Thai does not come with green onions, like others do. The service here is like how you would expect your mother to serve you. Personally, I like it. It feels like home. But it is not for everyone. If you are seeking 5-star service, you probably need to go to Seattle and pay 3 times as much. You might not be very happy here. But the quality of food, that the chef prepares, is extraordinary. So its worth it. The soup they make is also perfect. Actually, as I am writing this, I am just now craving it. I think I need to head back there tomorrow. :)
Very good service, but food was just OK. Drunken noodles were heavy on vegetables and light on noodles, and panang curry was very light flavored. I feel a different noodle dish would probably have made for a better meal.
If given the option i wouldnt give them any stars a -2. Who argues with the customer. I work at a fine dinning place. I even tipped for a pick up. And repated my order back. i did a pick up order got Pad Thai and coconut curry the pad thai was ok but not much topping or chicken. But my curry isnt even coconut curry so when i called to say something she wanted to argue with me about what i ordered.
Good food and a nice homey atmosphere!
Fantastic Thai food and best Mango Sticky rice i have had in years
Food is good, but you have to pay extra for rice if you dine in. Take out you get free rice. I dont understand that.
Delicious
Kind, excellent service and deliciously prepared meals. I have tried several dishes and i am always very happy.
Just got the pad Thai there today and it was absolutely awful. Tasted like vinegar and noodles. I had to completely re do it and try to make it taste better. I ve been to a lot of Thai places for pad Thai and this was by far the worst. So if you want pad Thai you might wanna try somewhere else....
The service is kind and attentive. The food is delicious.
Intimate, Family run, complex flavors. Care into each unique dish. Best Thai food Ive had! Owners and staff attentive and flexible without being obtrusive. In an unassuming step mall. Go
Family run business. Service was great, food was delicious and I was so surprised at how small the bill was that I felt compelled to double the tip.
Excellent food. My wife and I have visited this fine Thai restaurant twice. On both occasions we have found this establishment to be friendly, clean, and produced very tasty Thai food.
Horrible food...no longer going to go there anymore, used to be good but last couple of times, awful service and food quality. I ordered pad kee Mao and red curry, red curry did not look red at all, tasted bad as well,no taste or flavor whatsoever.
Great place for delicious, authentic Thai food. Good service and friendly staff. I highly recommend the Pad Thai!
This is a great hidden gem, tucked away in the lower level of the Totem Lake shopping area. They serve excellent lunch options and it doesnt take long before they get to know repeat customers. The flavors are great and they are one of the few in the area that will actually serve spicy dishes when requested. Service is not rushed, so plan on spending some time and enjoying your food. And the food is worth spending time to enjoy.
A good restaurant for Celiacs and people with gluten allergies. They claim that most of their menu is gluten free and safe, and so far weve found it to be true after three takeout visits, my wife has had no reaction. The downside is that they dont label their menu, so you have to ask. Nothing weve wanted to order has been unsafe! I cant comment on the service, since weve not eaten there, but the food weve tried so far has been delicious. Weve had the phad thai, phad see ewe, noodle delight, garlic lovers, and mussamun curry, with phad see ewe making the top of the list. Their website might be a bit out of date, as it says their noodle delight uses wide rice noodles, but they use the standard ones. Prices might be out of date, but thats no reason to give a one star review, in my opinion.
Love their drunken noddle! Very flavorful! Serve quickly during the lunch time!
Good food and fair prices. You can get that at dozens of Thai places on the Eastside. What they have that is seldom seen in Western WA is genuine hospitality. Family owned and very friendly. Also, they only use wild prawns. They will never serve those nasty fresh water mud shrimp. Really a great little spot.
Love getting food from Thurma Thai.
The menu looked great but we ll never know since we waited long enough and then eventually left without ordering. There was one server, and one other table to serve, yet getting our order in seemed like an impossibility given the pace things were moving at. Don t waste your time.
Very good Thai food, convenient location! Love their fried rice, which isnt greasy/oily, and the delicious soups. My husband swears by the chicken Phad Seew. We went for takeout (ordered in person at the restaurant) and had brought our own containers from home. We are actively trying to reduce the use of one-time-use plastics (takeout boxes, plastic utensils, paper napkins, etc., often wrapped in a plastic bag...) and this was an experiment as we werent too sure the containers would be accepted. The young woman taking my order had a wide smile and seemed genuinely happy to accept the containers I had brought; she took them to the kitchen and they were promptly filled with our meals (in less than 10 minutes)! :) I was really glad. Only for that, we are even happier to be clients there! Thank you!!
The food here was great, decent price but the service was awful. If you only want Thai then this is a good choice, but hard to recommend given how many other restaurants with good food are nearby that offer normal service/dining experience.
It s a small lovely place with good food. However I think there is a need for more staffs.
One of best Thai places. Nice food & good generous quantity for pad Thai and fried rice. My to-go place for Thai take out.
Ice for soda has very foul taste to it...we had two appetizers both lacked flavor...the shrimp pad thai and chicken Pad Thai both Very greasy and mushy!!.. this place leaves a lot to desire!!.. service was very nice!!
Excellent food and service when we visited for dinner and the portions were all nicely sized. Their Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) was some of the best tasting I ve had in a while. Will definitely visit again.
Im not a big fan of sitting in this restaurant but I eat here at least once a week for carry out. It wouldnt be right not go give them five stars.
The place looked a little bit dull, the flavor was too spicy even when we ordered medium spicy.
The real deal when it comes to thai
Great food. Waitress always pleasant.
The best. We eat here almost every Thursday night and I love the curry fried rice with chicken super super spicy style. Excellent dish and very friendly staff
Always delicious food and never a wait. Food is pretty authentic and there are lots of options. They do take out as well.
Amazing
I ordered to pick up. Pad thai is awful, it has no color no smell. I called to see if there was some kind of a mistake, the woman that answered got defensive and told me not to come back.
Excellent.
Family owned Thai place with good food
Their fried rice is definitely the best Ive ever had by a wide margin. I really dont know why I dont come here more often.
Excellent food, excellent service. The Thai coconut soup with shrimp was the best Ive had in years, and I travel across the nation for a living.
Really good thai food. I love the yellow curry fried rice here!
Super tasty food!! Authentic Thai taste, spice level was super perfect, service was good!!
Go here for lunch once a week, such a lovely quiet place. We get free dessert occasionally
Great food
Fab baby!!!!
Great food & really nice people. Been coming here at least since 2013.
We come all the way from Bellevue for their Drunken noodles ... Yummmmm ..
Decent Thai. Convenient. Good service!!!
Great food and the owner is extremely kind and hospitable.
The pad Thai is decent, nothing special. Unfortunately it doesnt come with bean sprouts or a lime wedge, but at least it doesnt taste bad. The waitress seemed miserable, like she didnt really want to be there, and spoke without care. Overall, its the only Thai place in the area that I know of so I guess its worth a try.
quality and taste are subjective, but you cant dispute charging more than the website price for your meal. Theres a reason this place is empty at 6PM. stay away
A very good Thai place in Kirkland. But usually just one server, so sometimes it is slow.
One of the nicest and family friendly place to have thai food. Have tried the curry chicken fried rice and the cashew chicken are my favourite here. must try once the pad thai too.
Very friendly service and good food. One of the best Thai restaurants around the place.
Awesome place to hang out with friends and family. Food is tasty and good. Especially I love Thai fried rice. I will recommend this place...
Go for yellow curry fried rice. Delicious and bomblastic
So to begin with, I do not know whats this about the Pad Thai tasting like Ketchup. Maybe different taste buds? I have been coming to this place for 2 years now; about 50 times or so, to the point where me and my friends have become regulars. The staff is soooo friendly and we get a free appetizer almost every time we go. Usually a 6 - 8 dollar value appetizer too. I always get the Phad Thai and thats all I need. I go there about once a month and get that delicious Phad Thai and BAM my day is made and all my pent up troubles goes away. Seriously, Id recommend this to anyone who likes Phad Thai. I will say that its a different type of Phad Thai than other ones Ive tasted, but damn, its definitely the best Ive ever had. This place definitely deserves 5 stars and Ill will be sooo sooo sad when it decides to close....
The Pad Thai was so/so. The drunken noodle was delicious. I like the fact that the food was spicier than other Thai restaurants, however, I got the regular 1 star for my kids and it was really spicy.
Based on one visit. I had the (Pad) Kee Mao, and it was different than Im used to, and generally good. I like spice, had the 1 out of 4, and it was plenty spicy.
Zero star! I aks for two star and she give me red curry that its so spice, I was sweating. When I asked she said she didnt put spice, and that if I wanted it las spice I should have asked for more coconut milk. Then she said there was only one level of spiciness, she asked tô me when I ordered how spice I wanted. I dont like being lied too, also we waited fifteen minutes before we even got water. Over all not a good experience.
Nice place, friendly staff. The green curry was very good. My wifes Pad Thai was OK but a little vinegary. Would eat there again next time were in Kirkland.
i love there phad thai that they make
My pad thai was really vinegary like the other poster said. Way too sour. Waitor didnt let me exchange it or anything when I asked politely. She demanded payment. Overall bad food, bad service, and bad communication since the staff cant speak English. When I was leaving, the waitor even told me to not come again because I wasted her time. Not very customer friendly at all.
Not only is the food here authentic, well priced and delicious, but the owners are some of the kindest people I know. If you come here on the weekends during dinner time, try to have some patience, as the older Thai lady is typically the only one seating, taking orders and serving the food! Her kindness is reflected through the big smile she is always wearing. I highly recommend the pad Thai- rich and tasty! The sweet and sour chicken and yellow curry are also favorites of mine, all served with generous portions. Will definitely keep coming back!! Additionally- Ill have to disagree with the previous review noting that the woman cannot speak English. Her English is not perfect, no, however, she is able to clearly understand it and can respond just fine. Perhaps you should exercise more patience and understanding, considering you did choose to eat at a Thai restaurant, family owned and run by a couple who emigrated here from Thailand.
We had take out for the second time and it was so good both times. I felt like I had to write a review. Most places on the east side are bland and just not good food but this place is yummy and spicy! Super fresh ingredients and the people that own it seem super nice. Highly recommended if you like food with flavor.
Great food & very friendly service. Highly recommended!
downright the best, especially for this area. I used to drive to Seattle for good Thai food, now, if I didnt live near by, I would have a good reason to go to totem lake! Never would have guessed...
Its an ok Thai restaurant. Good for its price. I had a Tofu Phad Thai and it was as good as in most Thai restaurants in the area. The value is good: fair price for a fair meal. Decor was a bit tacky, but that doesnt bother me.
