Great brunch with some clients. Very delicious and a delightful atmosphere.

Definitely way over priced and small amount of food, Served dirty silverware and had to keep asking for stuff, was also not refilled or given water.

We visited last night for the first time. We ll definitely be back food was great, as was the service.

We recently had a party in the private cellar room. It was super nice, the service was superb and the food was really great all around. We had 19 people and there was room to mingle and we had a great time. Would highly recommend.

They make their own burgers and bacon. Had the Social Burger with fries. Both burger and fries were the best I ve had in a long time. Great service too!

The oysters are very fresh, the stake is done to your liking, the sides are incredible, but I must mention the Bartender/Mixologist Karolina and her amazing creations, the latest is called call me crazy a mixture of tequila,grapefruit and other citrus with an smoked pepper finish, just delicious!! Also the gluten free chocolate cake is to die for... Parking: At the hotel.

Unfortunately the only nice thing about this place is the atmosphere. I hope it was just an off night. Nonetheless, I wont be rushing back here any time soon.

We had such a wonderful waitress on our FIRST visit. Her name is CAROLINA and she was amazing! We were a big group of 16 on Saturday night, and we had some trouble with our food because the head chef was new. Still, she helped us out, gave us complimentary drinks, served us with a smile and was extremely fun but yet professional. We will definitely come back and would request her again as our waitress. Thank you so much Carolina for your superb service and friendliness!

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Was not at all busy. Service was good, the server was attentive to our table. Ordered the club with fries and it was delicious. The only things I disliked was that I ordered a drip coffee that online says is $3.25 and I was charged $4 for. But the worst was being charged $8 for water without being told upfront. I think that s a lot to pay for water and would have been perfectly content with tap. I heads up on the price would have been appreciated.

Today, I thought Id try a new place to treat myself to a nice brunch. I was NOT disappointed! My first awesome surprise was the tea pot that I was given; it was huge! Unlike the common metal ones that hold a cup and a half as best (and drip like crazy) I was given this beautiful brown teapot that would be enough for at least 3! No extra tea or water needed at this table? My go-to for brunch is usually an eggs Benedict, because Im not going to make it at home. Because of this, Ive had a lot of the local Benedicts, and I think this one might surpass almost every other Benedict in the area! The hollandaise was rich and flavourful (not too flour-y, and definitely not bland), the eggs were perfectly done, and everything came out hot. The potatoes were also amazing, and were the only reason my second egg wasnt as warm to eat as the first! I also have to give a shout-out to my server Niharika. She took excellent care of me and even offered me a take out cup (with an extra tea bag!) For the tea I didnt finish at the table. She anticipated everything I might need. Ill definitely be back; I think I have found a new front runner in my rotation of KW brunches!

The service and atmosphere was great however the food was terrible - The wings were very mediocre. - The burger was extremely dry and overcooked (edges were even burnt) and was definitely the worst burger had all year - The soup was not edible due to having the wrong ingredients. Thankfully the waiter recognized the soup was wrongly made and took it off our bill. The only good thing we ate was the fries.

First time customer, long time foodie. We went last night to celebrate an anniversary. The restaurant was busy and the staff were really moving. Our food was great and the staff fantastic. Our wine and water were always full, like magic, because we never really noticed our server. We ordered three appetizers just to feel the place out, and we will definately be back for mains. Great experience, great food, lovely atmosphere. Edit***Just went back to celebrate a birthday. Again, did not disappoint. Our server was fantastic, super friendly and very funny. Passionate about his job. Food was fantastic. Our son crushed a burger and stated that the person who made it deserved a raise.The Octopus was perfect. So was the Calamari. We will be back again!

Food was okay- service horrendous! Servers not equipped or experienced to deal with a larger group. Only two tables inside and our group on the patio when I went in to look. Ended up taking my food to go after 3 hours. Everything slow from the drinks to the apps and ultimately the food, which also had to be re-made. The music on the patio was a nice touch.

This has been a wonderful experience, the salmon confit omg loved the beet puree. Presentation was 5 star. My sisters are raving onbthe fungi Flatbread and the the social burger. All in excellent size and soo well plated. Thank you

Our server Paddi was amazing and made our experience really exciting. He is honestly the nicest server Ive had anywhere. The space we booked was very nice; we were a group of about 30 and felt really comfortable there with no disturbances. They allowed us to bring our own speaker, and we even did some karaoke. I had the TWH Burger, which was so good I definitely recommend it!

Have eaten here before and the food is okay, but on most recent visit for brunch, we waited to be seated and then we waited 10 minutes with no greeting from a server - so we left. Go to Darlise Cafe across the street instead - nice spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch

I was invited here for a birthday on the 3rd. Honestly, I had a blast. Friendly Service. Great food. A little pricey but the experience is top tier. Special shout out to Paddy. He was amazing!

Have been here for dinner twice now, the food is great and the atmosphere is upscale without being too fancy. Weve had the same server, Karolina, both times and she is absolutely wonderful! Even during the dinner rush, she takes time to make recommendations and chat with you. She even arranged free desserts. Will be back because of her alone

I brought my partner to TWH for her birthday and it was a fantastic night! Our server, Karolina, made the experience extra special. She made us delicious cocktails and treated us to top notch service. If you go to TWH and Karolina is there, consider yourself lucky. 5 stars all around.

A pretty neat cozy spot. Ambience is unique and elegant, service was good and friendly, and food was overall tasty. Goat cheese dip was superb although the calamari left the table with much to be desired. We all got different burgers for our mains and everyone was pleased - social burger was excellent, perfectly cooked and great accompaniment of garnishes. Incredibly juicy patty. I do wish they had more non-alcoholic drink options. Would return for the burger alone!

Karolina is an absolute rockstar at TWH Social! Shes not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but her knowledge of the drink menu is impressive - her drink recommendations are always spot-on! She always goes the extra mile to make sure my dining experience is enjoyable, and her positive attitude is contagious. TWH Social is lucky to have her! P.S. I highly recommend trying her Espresso Martinis, they are so amazing!!

Ill preface this by saying I have had some lovely experiences at The Walper, especially for a wedding. However my most recent experience was very unfortunate. I was with a group of 10 and we were looking for lunch, TWH advertises express lunch. As we were on a time constraint we thought that would be perfect! Our group was prepared to order from the express menu and informed 2 staff members that we were in a hurry. No concerns, great! We placed our orders promptly and then waited... And waited... And waited. We asked for our bills before any food had hit the table, paid up and no food. Over an hour later our food trickled out. Cold and dry and unbelievable small portions. Unfortunately we had to take our meals to go as our express lunch was in no way express. I find it completely unreasonable to expect soup, sandwiches, and a burger from the express menu to take more than an hour to pump out. (For context there were four other patrons in the restaurant when we arrived. ) Despite expressing our concerns and displeasure there was absolutely no apologies, remorse, explanation, nor acknowledgement at the sub par service. Frankly they avoided us. Long story short, steer clear if you want a decent meal in a timely fashion. There are many other options nearby at a friendlier price point and with far superior service. I will not be back, nor will I recommend TWH.

Went on a Monday night for a birthday. The service was pretty slow, over an hour 15 to get apps. When our food came some of it was cold. But it was decent, imy partner and i each had a $48 ribeye, it was ok, not cooked how we asked though. The wait staff tried hard but lacked some basic service skills. I cant say I would go back.

This place was really nice, great atmosphere, where we were sitting it felt private & nice in this way.. The drinks & food were great & everything that passed by looked awesome, plus the prices are great for a place you can dress up & go out to. The only thing we said was, it would be nice if we could hear a bit more music. It was super quiet it might as well have been off. A live band would be amazing there, especially underground it would sound amazing. As a singer it would be a great idea hehe! Parking: Street parking or park at Scotia Bank parking lot

We celebrated a new job at TWH Social recently and Karolina took our service to the next level! Her curated cocktail menu is delicious and she will even make you something unique if you ask. I especially loved her take on the Old Fashion with a hint of vanilla. Thanks for making our evening special. Can t wait to go back for another fantastic night!

Everything about our night was amazing! TWH Social is a bit on the pricey side so it may be a special occasion spot but the food was well worth it!!!!

After seeing the lofty recommendations for this place, it seemed like the best option but disappointed greatly. The table was wobbly and the neighbouring tables were too close for comfort. There was music being played through the speaker system and there was also live music. The noise levels otherwise are loud and competing. The food is below average. We had the caesar salad; it was bland and seemed unfinished. There was no apparent Grand Padano in sight and there were maybe 4 tiny hard cubes of bacon. We werent offered pepper or cheese. Our mains were overpriced for the quality of the meals. The only highlight were the cocktails. The ingredients are thoughtful, and the flavour combinations are well-executed.

We have had the experience of having Karolina as our amazing server/ mixologist two times now and she has made our date night outs quite enjoyable! We actually chose to go back the second time hoping we would have Karolina a second time! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and we want to thank Karolina for the great time!

The hotel and rstaraunt are poorly managed. There is little communication between upper management and the rest of the staff. The entire experience they are trying to sell suffers as a result.

Karolina 10/10 knowledgable, kind, attentive, so friendly and sweet. First time visiting the hotel and the restaurant and would definitely recommend coming here. Service and quality of food were great!

My husband and I love eating here when we visit Kitchener! Haven t been disappointed with our food options. One of the best cesar salads I ve ever had

Stayed at the Walper Hotel and had dinner at TWH Social. From the lobby it s down the hall and downstairs. Restaurant is very spacious. There is dining room seating, bar seating and several booth tables in the bar area. There is also another section in the back of the dining room that looks like an area for private parties. Our server Claire was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The menu offers a good variety of options with 2 soups plus a soup of the day. Very happy for this soup lover. Unfortunately they did not have a soup of the day ready for dinner so I opted for one of the 2 soups regularly on the menu. We ordered: Calamari $20 - made fresh, large pieces, light crispy batter, jalapeño aioli. Oh so good. Butternut squash soup $8 - rosemary flavour with cream. Excellent flavour and texture, and actually served steaming hot not lukewarm like a lot of restaurants these days. Orange. Fennel & Shrimp $18 - black tiger shrimp, orange, radish. chives, tomato + lemon vinaigrette. Light and refreshing, oranges were sweet and comes with a good amount of shrimp. 14oz Dry Aged Ribeye $48 - 28 day dry aged, celeriac mash purée, vine tomato, green beans, red wine jus - delicious Would highly recommend this place and plan to return if we are ever in this area again.

The ambiance was cozy, and the staff greeted us warmly. I kicked off my evening with the smoked tomato soup (soup of the day), but it was lacking in seasoning and could have benefited from bread crumbs or bread pairing. My husband and I shared the Smoked chicken with broccolini and edamame, which was good. The portion was adequate for one person. While the flavors could use some enhancement, the overall experience was average.

My husband and I went for a pre valentines lunch on a Friday. Sahil was as our waiter and was most accommodating checking in often and attentive to water refills and making food recommendations. Very pleasant and open to sharing his experience . Food recommendations as great my husband had the beef brisket burger which was excellent and I had the buffalo chicken which was spicy but yummy. We upgraded for 3.95 to truffle fries and Parmesan cheese which was well worth the upgrade as recommended. Shared a Caesar and it was also awesome. Will return thank you Sahil for making it so enjoyable!

Might have just found a new favourite restaurant in Kitchener. Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. On par with my other favourites.

Where to begin about this restaurant I went here this past weekend with a group of 8 for a friend s birthday. First they were put in a private room and then taken out of the room, then after standing around aimlessly, they were moved to a table (after not being able to change the reservation time to 8pm instead of 7:30). Myself and another friend just arrived, asked the hostess where their table was and provided their name the reservation was under, and we were told there was no reservation under that name but they could walk us around the restaurant until we found them? Once we sat down, we had no water and nobody approached us for half an hour. After complaining, we got our water and were offered free appetizers (one serving of fries split into two, and a charcuterie board with 3 pieces of cheese and 3 pieces of meat for a table of 8 normally $25 somehow). We were trying our best to be understanding it was clear there was a big backup at the restaurant and we would never blame our servers they were doing their best and were lovely. However, we sat there with no food until 10pm (we arrived at 7:30). Once we got the food, the portion size of the salmon was basically for a child & was very bland & almost cold ($34 and I was starving after sitting there for almost 3 hours without food) and the Risotto had no flavour and couldn t be consumed, and others didn t enjoy their meals either but there was no point in us sending them back considering we d probably never eat. All the tables around us either left or complained, so we were aware the restaurant was struggling. We were met with the Manager who didn t seem to care all that much, although we were sure she was tired of people complaining all night. We got 20% off of our meals (a whopping $6.80 off of my unfinished and unenjoyable salmon) and were offered a 10% discount off of our meals the next time we go for a better experience . I fear a free meal there couldn t give us a better experience. The servers were super sweet and were doing the best they could given the circumstances. I think next time the restaurant is struggling, they should stop taking tables.

Stunning atmosphere and amazing service by everybody! Great food as well and not too busy on a Friday. Parking: Only a few minutes walk from the City Hall underground parking.

Could not fault the food at all, but we visited on New Year s Eve so the service and attention to detail was lacking. They were super busy and our cutlery was dirty, they brought the wrong wine out, and it was around 75 minutes until our main meals came out and it was only a 90 minute sitting. Apart from all this, the food was absolutely incredible, the flavours were pleasing to the palate, the duck, lobster ravioli and desserts were a major highlight! In regards to ambiance, I would say that the music was too loud (but it was New Year s Eve, so this may not be the case, normally. We will return for the exquisite food and to see if they can redeem themselves, service wise.

Paid over $100 per person with drinks for their Valentines Day pre-fixe menu. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the cost. We dined in a separate room from the restaurant, which took away from the ambience. Appreciate their attempt to spruce up the room, but it still felt like we were eating in someones basement. The waiter was pleasant and played his own playlist to fill the space. The beef carpaccio appetizer was the highlight of my meal. Steak was mediocre, neither cocktails were good, and dessert was also meh. Sorry but the reviews really made this place sound amazing, and it just wasnt.

We went for the Valentines dinner, and although the drinks came a little slowly (they were very busy) it was still one of the best restaurant experiences Ive had in a while. I got the beef carpaccio, and the beef striploin, and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals Ive ever had from a restaurant! Will definitely be back.

Food and service was fantastic. Gluten free options werent clearly marked but the chef was able to accommodate and be clear on alternatives. Great spot, and hidden treasures in the age of the building. Could have used TVs and also the lighting to make it seem like you werent underground was a little bright for a dinner time reservation.

Went for dinner and drinks before a show. The cocktails were delicious and the short rib dish was to die for! I didnt use a knife and the portion size was perfect.

This spot is a keeper! Everything is made with high quality ingredients and is extremely delicious. If youre vegetarian, you will not want to miss the halloumi burger and crispy tofu sandwich. Beyond the food, the staff (Emma) is incredible and provide the best customer service. We will be going back for sure!

Met by an extremely hostile female receptionist that quickly became nasty with us even though they had someone else already in our Open table reserved reservation. There were other open reserved tables and a bar which was originally offered to us , however we reminded her that we did a have a reservation. We somewhat reluctantly decided to sit at virtually an empty bar where they could have apologized for the incident with a complimentary beverage until a table could be readied, but know, she brought out a huge chef to threaten us and demand we leave immediately. Which we did. What a totally awful experience.

The food was fine, and our waiter was really nice. Im giving a 1 because we went there on my boyfriends birthday, and I was a little stressed so I kindly asked the female receptionist if they could play a happy birthday song while I gave him a present. She immediately laughed at me and repeated in a very condescending voice a HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG? and then said no. I understand if you cant play a requested song for whatever reason. Thats totally reasonable. But you dont have to make me feel embarrassed for asking. Its very rude and disappointing. Fortunately, my boyfriend didnt find out, but it ruined the whole experience for me.

Came here for a one-hour lunch break during off-peak hours. We were the first table to be seated. Food was good but the server berated us 3 times for not properly enjoying the food and not taking the time it deserves because we did need to go back to work.

One of the better fine dining option in downtown Kitchener. Food options are limited but the ones that they have on the menu are pretty good. I ordered a few starters and a chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious, super soft brioche bun and freshly fried chicken. The star of the show however were their cocktails, again not too many options to choose from, but the one we landed on were very tasty, smooth and packed a punch in a good way. Will be returning to try other items in the menu and to get knocked by their amazing cocktails. Thanks for the great service and the food.

The food, service and ambience was amazing! We made a reservation for our daughters graduation and she picked the restaurant based on reviews and it totally met our expectations. We enjoyed the appetizers and the main dishes we selected. We would recommend this place for a special occasion or for anytime you just to enjoy want high end food. This place is an absolute gong show. In my decades of dining in restaurants around the world, I have never before had to get up and leave before the meal was served because the order took too long to fill. Never. We arrived at 6:20 p.m. with a reservation booked directly through the hotel, where we were staying. The restaurant was packed and we were led to a high top in the back corner beside the kitchen, even though a booth by the bar was available. It took almost 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and another 10 for the drinks to arrive and our order to be taken. Since we assessed that the restaurant seemed overwhelmed, we ordered just large salads. A couple of minutes after placing our order, my partner flagged down the waitress and asked her for a plate of fries to start (again, fast and easy). Her response: Well, your dinner order has already been put in, so I can t guarantee you ll get them first. For the next hour, we watched the various wait staff rush around the room looking unhappy, stressed, and confused and rarely with any food in their hands. We looked around and noticed that very few tables actually had any food in front of them, aside from a few that had ordered the bread and onion dip appetizer. At one point, the hostess left and then returned, buttoning up a white chef s tunic and putting up her hair (while behind the bar in plain view). This did not bode well. We, along with many other patrons as it turned out, had tickets to an 8 p.m. show at Centre in the Square, so we were getting worried. A table for 5 next to us asked their waiter where their food was (they had arrived much earlier than us), and they were told it would still be another 10 minutes or so, so they said to cancel their orders. We followed suit, as did another pair near the bar. The staff was apologetic but offered no excuse beyond that they were very busy. We paid for our drinks (which should have been comped, frankly), and rushed out to get to the show after foolishly sitting in that dark, dreary space for 105 minutes. We had planned to have brunch there the next morning, but after this experience there was no way we were giving them a second chance. We checked out at 9:30 AM and picked up breakfast from Starbucks on the way out of town.

Last night my husband and I had a rare childless evening and decided to have a date night. We have a 3 year old and Im also 7 months pregnant so this was long overdue. I have been to TWH Social before but last night was just an amazing experience..the food and service were outstanding! We got to meet their new Excecutive Chef Jennifer and let me tell you, she is an amazing individual. She made our experience so much better than we ever could have imagined. We loved everything from the drinks to food to service and the staff were also super friendly and helpful. We will be back again for sure!

I have eaten here several times and the food is excellent. As a burger lover I feel this place has the absolute best hamburger in Kitchener, hands down. My only disappointment was the french fries. They are very dark which typically is due to the frying old needing to be changed. The cities best burger with sub par fries. Its a easy fix. Our waitress could not have been better. She was very accommodating, efficient and friendly. Update..,..Friday, July 7 2023 ..just called and they got a new kitchen manager and one of the first things he did was change the fryer oil.

This restaurant discriminate against people because of their appearance Today I attended this establishment together with my sister and when we sat down, a man who seemed to be the manager approached us and told us that whoever had sat us there told us that we couldnt sit down because nobody gave us the place and when he heard us speak Spanish he took the menu from us so we couldnt choose anything, today I suffered discrimination in that restaurant

my sister and I arrived and we sat alone because there was no one at the entrance at a table for four people.We grabbed some menus and a middle-aged man came to ask us why we had sat there, and when I answered him in Spanish, he took the menus from our hands, and passed them to the other table, he told us that that table was for four and that we couldnt be there. I do not recommend this place because of racists

45 minute wait. for cold food!! As someone that works in a fine dining restaurant, I expect better. There is almost nobody in the restaurant maybe two other tables. We sat down and looked at the menu and pretty much decided right away. We ordered our food. Waited a good 45 minutes for our food to come to our table and it was cold. Why did I wait 45 minutes for cold food. Honestly, was not that impressed. I have a sad experience for the first time?

The pesto pasta here is the best along with the brisket burger!

We celebrated my daughters birthday here last Saturday. The food was delicious, thoughtful presentation, and great non alcoholic drink selection. We had a wonderful server, Paddy P, who made our dinner very memorable with his kind and helpful manner.

The $2 oysters on Thursdays are a great deal! The food overall was good, but I think its a little overpriced. The $40 striploin was tender and cooked perfectly, however for that price, I wish it came with some veggies on the side at least instead of just some fries. Considering the prices, location and décor, we were honestly expecting something a little fancier and special. They do have a great cocktail menu and the service was fantastic, very attentive and polite.

The food and cocktails were expensive and lacked quality and consistency. The cocktails tasted like they have been watered down and the beer served was warm due to some kitchen issues.

My wife and I had a kids free night. We have been wanting to try this place since vday. We got the octopus and fried calamari for apps, crispy trout and Pasta a limone for mains. Virgin mojitos and a glass of champagne each. We wanting to do something nice because we had no kids. The food was amazing. Weve never gone anywhere and been completely happy and FINISH everything. We never like Pasta from restaurants either. Wow. Definitely going back!

My husband and I had dinner here while staying at The Walper. I had the Grilled Feta Bowl with added Trout and it was phenomenal! Super filling! I m a big fan of lavender so naturally I had the Lavender Mule which I enjoyed very much. Our server was super accommodating and even gave me a tip on how to easily make the same drink at home! The following morning we had breakfast and I enjoyed the coconut yogurt parfait! Overall wonderful experience!

Make sure you dont have plans after dinner... We had a reservation for a party of 18 for dinner for 6:30pm. We were stuck here for over four hours. Had only a single server for the entire group for the entire night. Drinks did not come until 7:30 food not until 8:30 and bills went unpaind until 10:30 and that is just the beginning. Credit to the young server who was trying his best but mistakenly broke a tall glass and got me soaked in alcohol which I had to sit in for the remainder of the evening. Manager (regretably dont have her name) did not even attempt to apologize to me despite coming in to check in on the group twice. That was after she frantically barged into the MENS bathroom screaming to unlock stall doors and exit as apparently she was looking for somone making other patrons uncomfortable? I really have no idea what that was about which also I received no apology for. Remarkably unprofessional for such an upscale establishment. Food was decent, not much to say apart for the entrees not being brought out all at once and many were eating whilst others were patiently waiting. The metaphorical icing on the cake was when I noticed another patron getting his entire meal comped for waiting an extra 10min... What about our group? After eating and waiting for bills for >1.5hrs I got up and kindly asked the bartender who was the only visable employee in an almost empty resautrant that Id like another server sent so we can pay our bills. She proceeded to lecture me on how she is a bartender and Id need to speak to somone else like Im the one who works here. Also with the bills due to what I can only assume is laziness, they dumped the remainder of the tables tab on ONE PERSON making them pay a bill of $200 when they ordered less than $100 for their meal. I feel it is important to note we were a group of mid-20s young professionals. This experience makes me think they would have handled this differently if we gave them a hard time for all the troubles or perhaps if we were a bit older like there usual clientel... After all that, I received an overpriced $10 pint taken off my nearly $100 bill. The young server we had was the only one who apologized for the service. Thanks for nothing, wont be back again.

We arrived here for breakfast on a Sunday morning, the place was not busy with about 4-5 tables with families and couples. We were seated promptly, however there seemed to be a delay in getting our order, a simple gesture of offering coffee and water seemed challenging for the staff, upon getting our coffees and placing our order it was another 15 minutes before some one came by to top our coffees off, another server who was happily offering coffee top ups to other guests walked right by us without checking in. The food however was top notch, however the service definitely needs room for improvement

New to the area and recently visited for dinner. Super impressed!! Our server Karolina was so helpful and friendly and the Lemon Pie Martini she recommended was to die for!!! We will definitely be back again. Great atmosphere and very sophisticated and one of a kind drink selections!

We dined here as a part of our brunch with The Walper Hotel which is unfortunate since the hotel staff were great unlike the staff here at this restaurant. We were here last November 26th around 12 pm. As we got sat down, she asked us if we wanted sparkling or spring water. We asked for sparkling water. When the water arrived in an opened bottle which is not sparkling at all which we thought Oh, this must be the restaurants water and the sparkling water might arrive later. The food arrived, it was great. We asked for hot sauce but we never got anything (our server was just at the the bar - we thought they asked someone from the kitchen but 5 minutes passed still no hot sauce) so we got up and went to the bar and asked for their Tabasco sauce instead since we really do prefer our eggs with hot sauce. When we got up, we thought we can just head out since the breakfast is part of our hotel stay. We were surprised when we needed to sign a $9 charge for our WATER which shocked us since the sparkling water did not arrive and apparently they served us the spring water which we did not ask for at all. We didnt bother fighting it since the night before it was our wedding and we were exhausted and just wanted to eat and go. FYI. There was also no coffee refills. Overall, food was good but the staff could be trained more.

As part of our hotel stay we had a breakfast option that was included. The Food was very good, my girl got to the shakshuka and I got the mushroom toast. Service was top notch as food was brought out quickly and we received multiple refills of coffee and tea. He was very attentive to my girls gluten restriction.

I had a private party in the cellar room 2 weeks ago- the room was beautiful, the food was outstanding and our amazing server was just killing it- stayed on top of the whole group, had a wonderful attitude, a real gem. I did knock a star off because the booking itself was really rocky to the point I was looking elsewhere. It took me 4-5 phone calls, 3 emails, and 2 staff members trying to get a manager to provide me information before a 3rd staff member was finally able to. Aside from that however, the manager ended up being very accommodating, and the experience was fantastic. We definitely enjoyed the food and cocktails!

We just had a delicious brunch as always, but Rams was the most lovely and made our morning more cheerful.

We had breakfast here, and felt the food was just ok and over priced. For example, we had a yogurt parfait for $10 - it was quite small and nothing special. The coffee was lukewarm. We won t be returning, unless they make some serious improvements.

Limited menu selection. Trying too hard to be granola-healthy with way too many unique ingredients, most diahes with mushroons. Only thing I would eat was the short ribs. Dry. Fries were good. For $29 not worth it. Cheapest bottle wine was high forties then jumps almost $30 for the next option. Supposedto be a quick meal before a show at Centre in the Square. Id look at other options next time

Went here this past Saturday for valentines day! It was so good. I really like their duck dish. It was cooked perfectly. my boyfriend had the beef short rib. All in all would recommend and will come back. It was cool that they gave us tickets the apollo theatre.

Ive been to the TWH Social many times for dinner and once for brunch and I love the atmosphere and the food. The menu is on the smaller side, but is updated periodically with new options. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented! In my three most recent visits I have been served by Miro, who is an absolutely wonderful server! He is so friendly and attentive, and very knowledgeable about the current menu and wine list. Thank you Miro for making our visits so enjoyable! :)

I can t say enough good things about my first experience at TWH. I can tell you that we will be back. Abby, the English food and beverage manager the lady in the green dress on 2/22/22 working for us. All of you did such a fantastic job during a really hard time in everyone s life. You all went above and beyond your positive attitude your warm welcomes and the amount of food were way more then I expected. Sorry I forget everyone s name I met so many new people that night due to the pandemic I forget names but I do remember what people wore. Weird!!! You all did a fantastic job and I can t wait to talk about this place for years to come. We look forward to seeing all of you in the very near future.

Maddie and the food were absolutely great!

The cheese plate was mediocre, the bread was served cold, cheese was un-note worthy with no significant difference between the varieties also served very sparily. The preserves needed to be served as more then a garnish. The secret passage cocktail was unfortunately while heavy in liqueur tinged with an overture of cough syrup. Was a sipping beverage due to the flavor profile, almost undrinkable. The service was slow and surely.

Went for Sunday brunch with a family of 4. No kids menu but our 9 year old loved the chocolate French toast. 1 hour wait to receive the food. It was very good once it finally arrived. Ordered a Virgin Caesar...thought it may have been cheaper with no vodka. Nope--same price! ($14) We probably wont go back, but the food itself was very good.

This place has great food and quality service. But more then anything, the chairs are so damn comfy. On a level I have never experienced before. Ask for a booth. Be amazed.

I have frequented this place a lot. Their food is always delicious and service excellent. However, I was so disappointed with my last visit. Went for lunch with coworkers today and there was a new server training. She was great and very sweet, however my disappointment was a result of the portions and the lack of support/training this poor server had. I know how hard it is to find staff, especially in the hospitality industry. I asked about the portion sizes for the small ($10) vs the large ($14) Caesar salad. She tried to explain the difference (I dont think she really knew which is fine - but there was a manager behind her who could have easily taken over) and I ended up getting the large as she gave me the impression that it was big enough that I may even have leftovers. So I opted for the large and added chicken ($10). When my food came, I could not believe how small it was. It was basically a handful of romaine with a little bit of cheese - like 2 or 3 little rinds and barely any dressing. I cant imagine what the small would have looked like. To put it in perspective, my chicken breast to salad ratio was the same. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly and a normal portion, however. I thought maybe the waitress rang in a small by accident, so I didnt say anything. I also asked for extra dressing and was brought aoli instead....no 2 minute check, and out of embarrassment I ate this dry 4 bite salad and ended up mixing aoli in it to make it palatable. When the bill came, I was surprised to see that not only was I billed for a large caesar, but $16 instead of the $14 on the menu. I did let the server know that they need to update their menu and I told her not to worry about it as it is obviously not her fault. She offered to adjust it, but I didnt want her to get flustered over $2. Maybe I am being extra picky because I have been in the hospitality industry for a long time, but please have a look at your portion sizes, as they have always been decent in the past, but there is no way I was served a large salad. It definitely was a small. $26 was very overpriced for what I got - and yes, I know - food and labour costs are increasing, but seriously, it was tiny. So disappointing. Will never order that again. And just a little tip for the server and management to increase your sales: instead of bringing water to the table right away, bring drink menus with the regular menus, introduce yourself and explain that you will be back in a minute to take a drink order. Then return promptly, get a drink order, and read the table - if they look ready, ask if they want to order as well and kill 2 birds with one stone. We were given water and not asked if we wanted anything else. I would have ordered a cocktail but wasnt given the opportunity, and I am sure the others would have followed. Or even if they ordered a pop, that still would have increased the bills. Bring water with the drinks. Also, always offer coffee/espresso/dessert after clearing the plates. Yes, it is lunch time and the majority are in a rush, but sometimes we have time to kill and I could have really used an espresso - another missed opportunity. You dont lose anything offering. You will increase your sales and your tips :)

Fantastic place to eat with a wonderful atmosphere. We had the steak and the brisket burger and they were perfectly cooked and delicious. Would recommend to everyone to come try them out!

My husband and I came here to end off our honeymoon. We ordered the mushroom tartine, vegan orzo pasta, the crispy salmon and a cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious! My husband was raving about the salmon while he was eating it and when he got home, and the day after. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the kind service and most of all, the food! The restaurant manager - Meiro who served us was beyond great! His knowledge of wines and cocktails were amazing. The food was excellent and Chef Nathan came out to talk to us. We spoke with the general manager (we are sorry we missed her name) and she was lovely. No wonder this restaurant is number one on Tripadvisor! You all made our night a wonderful one!

I recently met a friend for lunch at TWH on the patio. I hadnt been since the pandemic. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by the meal. I was taken back by the price but understand everyone has been hit by inflation. But a salad bowl with chicken was $33 and the chicken looked cooked from frozen from Costco and there was barely any quinoa in my salad. The food was extremely underwhelming for the price and I remember it being so much better. Over $45 for a lunch with no alcohol.

I came here out of the blue with my sister for brunch on Saturday afternoon, and it was the besttt decision I made that day The food was bomb and the service was amazinggg especially Mina!! She wasn t even my server at first, she only came over to refill my water but we happened to have an amazing conversation regardless that honestly made my whole day. I will 100% stop by again for dinner sometime. You can get good food anywhere, but great food with GOLD people is soo much more rare. I love how this place because it s so authentic from top to bottom honestly.. You got the real locally sourced food and then the lovely atmosphere with such welcoming and kind staff :) with special thanks to Mina for making a great day all the better. We celebrated birthday, group of 18 people. Half of the group received their meals while other half were waiting for another 30 minutes. We set down at 8:30 and got out meals at 9:45. Birthday person got his meal the last. Calamaris were really oversalted. In the end our server returned the tips, he just put it in front of us and said for the bad service and left. No conversation. It felt like he showed us an attitude. My hubby and I visited TWH some time ago and we enjoyed our dinner. But recent visit left somewhat sour feelings.

Great brunch service despite being slammed by a wedding group! I ordered the eggs benedict with coffee. The staff were great at coming round to refill frequently, and the eggs were poached to perfection! I am looking forward to trying out more of their menu on my next trip to Kitchener.

We went to TWH for dinner and drinks. We were served by Miro, and it was the most refreshing and personalized dining experience that we have had in a long time. We all work (and have worked) in the service industry and we know how much effort and care it takes to be as fabulous as Miro, and we were so grateful. He went above and beyond, made fantastic recommendations and took outstanding care of us. We had no needs and were so impressed. The food was outstanding. There was not one thing that we did not enjoy. The wings are outstanding. 2 of us in the group have Gluten Allergies and the menu had many delicious options. The cocktail list is fantastic. This spot is truly a little gem in DTK and we will be back. Thank you TWH for filling our cup!

Really terrible service. We wanted to like this place. One time we were ignored by all servers for at least 25 minutes after we were seated. Another time we had absurdly rude treatment by the waiter. The one thing that is consistent is that the food is always mediocre. Kitchener has lots of great places to try. Skip this one.

I used to enjoy coming to TWH in the past but my last experience has me weary to go back. Allergies/intolerances were overlooked - ended up eating gluten when I specifically indicated I needed gluten-free. I told the waitress and it had never occurred to her that people could be allergic, she thought it was just a preference. Our table had spotty service in general - drinks were missed, food didn t come out all together, my partner was double charged. Not feeling overly inclined to come back anytime soon.

This is definitely our new favourite spot for date night. The food and drinks were incredible, you can tell the menu is put together with passion and care. The bartender, Emma, served us and she was spectacular. We had such a fun time and will again!

Such a gem! The food was literally outstanding! We ordered 5 appetizers to share and every one of them was delicious. The service from Miro was next level, they don t make servers like him anymore! Abbey the GM was also great! We will definitely return for our next date night.

Went here with a group of 3. We were served tap water and cold coffee. We ordered starters and were never asked for the rest of our order. Waited for 45 minutes to be served and we were consistently ignored by staff who walked around and served other customers. The food we did get was fine.

Update: Came back here after 3years for a date night, and we were blown away both by the food and the sevice. Our server was Maddy and she was phenomenal. For appetizer we got wings. For the main course we ordered the Braised Beef and the Sunchoke Ravioli. And for dessert we got the Vegan Carrot Cake. Every single item was absolutely AMAZING! I was most impressed by the ravioli. It was an explosion of flavours in your mouth. I cannot wait to go back! Absolute gem! The drinks were professionally made and were the cherry on top of our entire experience. Their menu has a lot of tasty and interesting options. I ordered thr burger with aside of their ginger and parsnip soup and burger. The burger was flavourful and the condiments came on the side, so we were able to add whatever we wanted. The soup was even better, I was skeptical but I was definitely impressed. For drinks, I ordered the Godfather, even though the bartender originally didnt know the recipe but they made it for me and it was great. The waitress was very nice and attentive. And the environment was lovely with great life music! Definitey recommend for a nice night! Note: I give this place $$$ for their price list. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available and very delicious!

The service was good but the food was amazing. We had the beef tartare to start, by far the best I ve had, the pork, and the lamb. The dishes were vibrant and delicious. The portion sizes were perfect. There was also a nice cocktail selection. The atmosphere was great too, perfect for a date night.

I was impressed and I am a discerning diner. Giant Whiskey Sour made with real lime juice not bar mix. Pesto pasta bowl was great and the wine list is better than I expected (Cote du Rhone). Great service, Ill definitely return for a pre concert late lunch.

Me and a friend went the TWH Social for dinner on Friday night. I was blown away by our server (Sarah). She was so polite and made great recommendations for both drinks and mains. The seasonal drinks were very delicious as was the food. The atmosphere was lovely and I would highly recommend going out for dinner/drinks here to anyone asking for a place to go in Kitchener. Had dinner here last night and ordered the beef short ribs with warm potato salad, charred onions and mushrooms. I received a piece of dry beef on a plate with a side of French fries. So disappointing. Not as advertised on your menu at all. Won t ever be back.
