Open 7 days a week. No reservations.
Amazing food (all locally sourced which is also a bonus), highly recommend if you haven’t tried!!
Super delicious lattes, sandwiches, and home fries! I will definitely come back. The vibe is super welcoming and a very safe space. The food is excellent quality!
The food was incredible. The restaurant was very busy but the staff was very polite and responsive. I wish their location was larger so there was more seating, otherwise I would have given 5s all across the board.
I absolutely loved the pregnant cow girl sandwich. The bread was so fresh and the ingredients were farm fresh. I also really liked the cardamom latte.
Hipster style cafe, service was quite slow as there was only one cashier who also was the barista. If you have time, this isnt a problem but not great if you are in a rush. We were okay with this as we had time to kill but for reference I probably was waiting in line to order for between 5 to 10 minutes with only 1 persom ahead of me. Took a while for the cashier/barista to even acknowledge we were there. Tables didnt seem to get cleaned too often, our table was dirty with some egg yolk, had to wipe myself. It wasnt crazy busy either, just again due to having only 1 person to do the running. Nice thing is you can seat yourself first so while you wait to order, the rest of the group can sit. Food wise we ordered the Cowgirl and the Doug. Both sandwiches were quite good, and moderately priced. We would get this again. I enjoyed the sweet mustard on the Doug. We also ordered the cumin hashbrown... definitely skip this. Not worth the 7 bucks. First off they arent what you think of when you think hashbrown... its more like homefries. No cumin or chili flavor. Just tasted like plain roasted potatoes you throw in the oven. Not bad but again youre paying 7 dollars for a small portion of potatoes. Just make it at home. We ordered the decaf lavender ice latte. It was probably the best thing here. Hipster places know how to make coffee, that holds true here. Not too sweet, good flavor profile for us. Overall, would come back and try other drinks and sandwiches.
Don't be deceived by the interior! It is a must try! Food is absolutely delicious, and when you enter this place, it feels like you escaped from reality. For a less immersive atmosphere, you can always enjoy their patio. Great place to visit!
This is really cute and cozy cafe in Kitchener Downtown near Kitchener Market. Since I visited on weekend and there was lot of rush due to farmers market our order took around 30 mins. But it was worth it. loved every bite of the sandwich. I would definitely say best sandwich place in Kitchener.
Hands down, the best brunch place in Kitchener. This has been our favourite brunch place to go to, since we moved to Kitchener early this year. People even line up before they open on a Sunday morning. I think that itself tells a lot about the place. Love the food and the whole ambience. My fav order will be a pregnant cow girl and the mocha.
I wanted to try a new place for breakfast last Saturday, google recommended the Yeti cafe as one of the options. As first glance the place looked cozy but small for inhouse seating. Loaded the family in the car and drove from Cambridge to try it out. We called in advance to see if there would be tables available. They said that on Saturdays, its busy so you came and try your luck, but hopefully there will be some space in the next 20 mins. After arriving I did circle around for parking but ended up parking in a paid parking spot. The place has a very welcoming vibe, although it was packed. We were told you sit at the counter and a table would be available soon. And it was, we got a table within 5 mins. The menu is funky and the food was exactly what I was looking for. Taste 5/5, Quality 5/5, Quantity 4/5. The coffee was very good as well ! Overall a very good experience, I am glad I drove all the way to Kitchener to check it out.
Great little spot, l even bought a yeti sticker for my kayak.. They even have gluten options...
We visited from ottawa. It was packed always a good sign! The staff were busy but very friendly as well the customers were all lovely making space to get around. The food was delicious and fresh. Our group had vegan BLT and burrito; and non vegan omlet and the Doug sandwich. Thanks for a lovely breakfast. Love the bright cozy eclectic interior. See you next visit.
The cutest cafe and the best food. An absolute gem. The cinnamon buns are so good they should be illegal!! Kid-friendliness: They have my little pony from the 80s for table numbers. What else do ya want!?
The Yeti Cafe has had a family living in the upper floor of their building evicted in order to rent the space as an AirBnB. Pretty ironic for the Yeti Cafe to kick someone out of their home into the cold. If you care to point out any of these facts on their social media, they re more than happy to delete your comment, block you, or simply disable comments altogether on their posts as if to close their eyes and plug their ears.
Best place in town for coffee and a delicious cinnamon bun
As perfect as a place can be. Their service is consistently phenomenal. Their food is simple but so so delicious and nutritious. But their cardamom latte is my godsend. It is so so so good. Better than PSL dare I say. Half of it is consumed steaming hot at the cafe, and the other half I take home to have a little iced cardamom latte action later in the day. If you haven t tried it, you must. The yeti is downtown Kitchener s heart and soul.
Cool. Friendly. Busy! Worth the wait.
Cheap disguised as quirky. Customer service as despondant as the downtown area. A breakfast sandwich that is as flavourful as the dirty rock that holds down the napkins. Food : 1/5
Awesome bands playing there
Main plates were delicious. Side fruit bowl was hilariously sad. But at least they arranged the sparse thing in a cute pattern. A couple blueberries were rotten, too, so points off for that. Otherwise great place, glorious food, fun staff.
Incredible vibes, great hangs always
Street punk party. It was aces.
My favorite spot to grab breakfast. Always good vibes at the Yeti!
uniquely decorated cool café appreciate the vegan options & everyone is welcoming :)
Vegetarian options: Vegan options available Kid-friendliness: Family friendly Food : 5/5 |
One of the best breakfast sandwiches in Kitchener hands down if not THE best
Amazing over all, best bagels I ve had in a long time, awesome people working there
Ive ordered take-out and eaten at the Yeti too many times to count but today hit different. I got a to-go order and when I opened it up it A. looked so good and B. tasted SO good. Usually I find the side salad and hash nothing to rave about the the salad today was bomb as well as the potatoes perfectly cooked and seasoned! BLT was also so good. Already looking forward to my next meal at The Yeti!
Creative vibe, truly 5* latté, cowgirl bagel was perfection.
Quirky and artsy fun little place. Very nice staff and a joyful atmosphere. Parking: Ciry of Kitchener parking, first hour free right across the street. Food : 5/5 |
Sadly, the Yeti seems to be going down hill. The food is often cold. The French toast, which used to be my favorite, comes out dry. Looking in the kitchen, it was super dirty today and so are the cooks. It also smelled bad in the restaurant. This has been the 5th bad experience in a row and sadly its getting worse. Hopefully the owners turn things around but the Yeti has turned from our favorite go to place to definitely taking a break from here and we will see if we ever come back.
Great little cafe loaded with flavour! We got the cowgirl sandwich & the brunchie. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
Stopped here on my way to my grandpas funeral, was feeling bummed bc dead grandpa. Food service and atmosphere fully lifted my spirits. glad I stopped here.
Coffee tasted okay but it was confusing and unpleasant as I ordered Americano but the staff never extracted fresh espresso and gave me one, saying its the one she just made it which was untrue. So I asked that Id like fresh one but she just handed me another pre-made coffee..... why would I pay extra if I was going to not get fresh coffee? It made me doubt if they had right understanding of Americano vs Brewed coffee. Wait time was too long especially given that they just poured whats made before. While I was waiting, I saw they served the wrongly made drink that was sitting at the counter for a while to a different customer which I would not appreciate if I were that customer. I had high expectation as the reviews were so good but I dont think Im gonna come back :(
The Pregnant Cowgirl is hands down my favourite breakfast sandwich in KW. Excellent coffee, too. Highly recommended!
went for the first time recently and i will keep coming back!! great brunch food and coffee :)
The place was so cool and the people were very friendly. The food was good, and the people I was with were satisfied. I found it, well, in a word, bland. I would not order the same thing if I came back. The table markers are so cute though!! Dietary restrictions: They were really good about substitutions, which is great since almost everything on the menu has something I m allergic to.
Went here for brunch here on a Thursday. The first staff member we saw was nice. Not overly pleasant but was polite and gave a nice smile. Interacted with two other staff members. The one who brought us our food seemed uninterested. And the one who was working in the back, pretty much the same. The atmosphere was cool, it is a neat and unique place. Unfortunately the cutting of onions was so intense going through the restaurant. So much so that it actually makes you cry if you re sensitive to things like that (which I am). Probably would have given a better rating if it weren t for the onions and if the staff were a little better. The food was good too. I d visit again but sit outside next time. Vegetarian options: There are a good number of vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: The have vegetarian and vegan options, as well as gluten-free. Parking: Parking was okay because it was a Thursday morning when it wasn t so busy. If it were during an event like the market, parking might be more difficult. The parking lot across the street is a paid lot, but on the next street over there is free parking for a few hours.
I attended a fun lil mini dance party. Was great. Very welcoming. Good vibes. Nice people. Very cute lil location.
Just..fantastic..!!!!
Coming from outside of the Waterloo, this cafe feels experimental and I loved the food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a chill vibe and tasty food Note - The unicorn was my given table marker and paints the unique atmosphere of the yeti cafe Kid-friendliness: Witnesses m the staff very kid friendly from a nearby family sittinf by my table!
The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and we loved the vibe
Kitschy little place downtown. Great place to meet friends for a bite to eat.
Big, bright windows! Super staff! Great ambient music. Food prepared with care and flair. A great place to eat, meet, or sit and think.
Really liked the pregnant cowgirl bagel sandwich. Very unique atmosphere! Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan replacements and options available Food : 5/5 |
Maybe I came on a bad day but as I sit here writing this review for The Yeti cafe I cant help but feel incredibly disappointed. It all started out so well! We were greeted by very friendly staff and the cafés atmosphere was good, with chilled brunch-esque music playing quietly in the background and happy people sat around the busy café. My wifes Cardamom latte with oat milk was great as was my Maple latte with oat milk. But thats where the greatness ended. Both my wifes vegan brekkie and my own meat brekkie was the opposite of great. Both my wife and I received plates of lukewarm food. Our hash browns (which arent hash browns in any traditional sense of the word) was a mixture of sweet potato and potato. The potato was undercooked and the sweet potato over cooked. God only knows what their vegan bacon replacement Jazcon is but it is NOT remotely like bacon. In shape or taste. Call it something else please to not confuse customers. Honestly, if it werent for the great coffees, good vibes and friendly staff this would be a 1 star review. Disappointed would be title of this review if reviews had titles.
The food was not as good as expected. I feel the price for more than the food was worth. Otherwise it was a good experience.
Had the Doug sandwich (peameal, cheese, honey mustard) on a fresh bun. The homemade hash browns were delicious too
Good food, great service. Huevos Rancheros were simple and delicious. The kids got hash browns but both werent a fan - more of a cumin homefry plate. Lattes were delicious all around, I had Lavender, the others had Chai. The music was a bit loud given the vibe. The counter service was extremely friendly.
I absolutely love the pregnant cowgirl. I came just after opening on a Sunday and ordered it for takeout and had to wait over a half an hour as they were pretty slammed but it was worth the wait.
we came for some vegan breakfast. it was ok overall, not a place i would rave about or rush to a second time. bit expensive for what it was. they were busy so maybe other people feel its better than i found it to be.
I was there yesterday (Sunday) for brunch with a friend and the food was good, the service was decent until the end. We hadn t even finished our drinks completely and the server was asking us how long will you be because there are other people waiting so Okay great so take our money, have us tip you (you pre-pay at the counter) and then, the second you get a chance basically ask us to leave. There was another table there longer than us and they were sitting there reading books, but that s okay! I 100% will never come back here again and I regret tipping 18%, prior to having this horrible customer service experience. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free & dairy free
In my top 3 for Huevos Rancheros! Price is right, location is great and atmosphere is kitschy! 5 stars, highly recommend! You don t want to miss this place
Looking for a hidden gem to get breakfast, coffee or drink this is the place. It s a small cafe but I absolutely love the vibe. Summers- there s a beautiful outdoor patio. The inside sitting is a bit compact but I got no complaints. Usually it s rush so might be some wait period. If you like exploring new cafes- try this place. Won t be disappointed.
why is it so far away
Great menu, wonderfully creative breakfast/brunch items and cool vibe. There are only a few tables inside and generally a wait on Weekends, but totally worth it. Food : 5/5
Great breakfast and coffee. They even had a change table in the bathroom for our baby!
Very good cortado, thanks for a nice first visit!
I like the vibe, the place is cosy, the food is good, the staff are friendly. I will definitely recommend this place :)
A hole-in-the-wall place with very laid back atmosphere. The food is decent, and the prices are cheap.
Cute little cafe right next to the Kitchener farmers market. Delicious and original breakfast sandwiches. I got the pregnant cowgirl and a mocha which were both spectacular. Love how casual it is
Great place! Food was great, highly recommended
French toast was YUM, pregnate cowgirl (breakfast bagel) was MMM, staff was friendly and vibes were
Eclectic , cozy café in the heart of downtown Kitchener. I love the art on the walls The atmosphere is boho/hippie, i think and fun with music playing in the background. Staff is friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my Omelet with Salad on the side. My only disappointment was the Tea Latte, was milky and not warm enough for my liking. Oh, I got a free coffee coupon because she initially forgot that I ordered tea. I appreciated the gesture and the apology You get and menu and go look at it in your sit and get up and order at the counter. You get my little pony , instead of table number, thats different and original Overall, a very nice place. I will go back again Vegetarian options: Theres some vegetarian options Parking: Theres lot of parking close by on King Street. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible if you sit outside in a nice weather but there are stairs going inside the cafe. No, wheelchair ramp or space for wheelchairs inside
The best breakfast in KW by far! I absolutely love this restaurant. It is just dripping in personality and charm and the food is absolutely delicious, as well as the coffee. They have a great menu and assortment of drinks and their merch is very cute as well. I highly recommend going and supporting a fantastic local business. You will not be disappointed! Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options. The huevos rancheros is absolutely divine! Kid-friendliness: We went with our 2 year old and 6 month old and did not feel uncomfortable. The quarters are a bit tight but no one seems to mind or complain. Its very warm and inviting and they did give us a high chair as well.
Love this place! The vibe, food and staff are all perfect. Friendly and low key.
I like their coffee it is very similar to Cafe pyrus I am there everyday in kpl but this place has a lot more options for vegetarians/vegans.
I love their breakfast sandwich: Pregnant Cowgirl! It is the tastiest breakfast sandwich I ve ever had. A regular for me! Fresh, good quality ingredients.
Food is amazing; positive, friendly atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan menu options and substitutions available Parking: Limited free street parking nearby, paid lots that serve Kitchener market and downtown, usually lots of spaces. Easily accessed by bus.
Great spot that looked very familiar for someone travelling from Australia. Amazing food, great customer service and amazing coffee!!! The staff member offered free coffee again on the way out. The food was freshly made and the ingredients were all fresh. Would go there in a heartbeat. The highlight of their menu is surely the French Toast.
Good quality ingredients. Bit of an unorthodox establishment I can see how it could appeal to some but not for me. Music could be a bit quieter and a bit more friendly to first time visitors.
Youre given a my little pony doll instead of a seating number when placing your order. The lights are mismatched, and the tables all look like theyre from different diners. Thats the vibe youre going to get when coming to the Yeti, and its wonderful.
Service was great! They were super busy and yet the staff were very friendly. Mt wife and I had coffee and breakfast there and the lavender latte was the best latte I ve ever had! Overall great experience.
I went here during the night and the day staff (black haired female cook) told my friend and I to shut up for talking during a performance in the back. They are rude as hell. I loved this place and I will never come back. We were not being loud at all All the day staff were around her when she said this us.
Was very busy when we came but the food was out promptly. Food was very good. Service was good.
I am absolutely thrilled to write this glowing review for YETI Cafe in Kitchener! My husband and I had an incredible brunch date at this amazing spot, and we were blown away by the exceptional food, friendly service, and stunning atmosphere. First and foremost, the Sasquatch and Pregnant Sasquatch dishes were out of this world! The flavours were so fresh and bold and made with love. But it wasnt just the food that impressed us. YETI Cafe has such a warm and welcoming vibe, with a charming cottage-inspired decor that truly sets it apart. From the cozy seating to the creative idea of having mismatched mugs and plates, it added such a charming, unique and cozy touch we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. One of the things that really stood out to us was the inclusivity and positivity that radiates from this cafe. Its clear that the owners have created a space that is not only delicious but also incredibly welcoming and accepting. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time at YETI Cafe and would recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible brunch spot in Kitchener, Ontario. The food, atmosphere, and energy are simply unbeatable. Trust me, you wont be disappointed! Vegetarian options: If youre a vegan or vegetarian looking for a place to eat that caters to your dietary needs, look no further than YETI Cafe in Kitchener, Ontario! This amazing cafe offers a menu that has a vegan and vegetarian option for EVERYTHING, making it a dream come true for those with dietary restrictions. But thats not all - YETI Cafe takes it one step further by sourcing their products locally, ensuring that the food they serve is not only delicious but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. By using local suppliers, they are able to offer the freshest ingredients and support the community at the same time.
I ve recently tried pregnant cowgirl sandwich which was delicious. The vibe was quite nice and new for me in KW region.
Love the Terry Pender with Jazzcon. Good Vegetarian options and artsy atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Apple maple grilled cheese with toasted coconut TERRY PENDER
Lovely little hamlet for the LGBTQ+ in KW. First trip was amazing. I hope to be back soon!
The Yeti Cafe is organized chaos in the best way. Hard to get a seat and seemingly always busy it is worth waiting for. You order at the front and they bring your food/drinks out and refill your own coffee. The food came quickly even though it was busy and everything was amazing. The cooks are singing along to music in the back and obviously love what they do - you can taste it. Staff was overall very friendly, the place itself is super kitschy and eclectic and you have to make a stop downstairs at the bathrooms to check out the funky wallpaper. Mismatched old mugs and plates were so fun. I didnt like that we had to scrape our own plates and bring dishes to the back. Im not sure if that has been a forever thing or if they are short staffed. I would never ask this of patrons and feel that needs to change ASAP.
Great food, fantastic service and an even better vibe.
Super cozy spot with lovely food. Very enjoyable atmosphere.
Very unique place that serves simple, honest, good food. Tons of options for the non carnivores; I feel that is the vibe theyre going for. Nothing bad to say about it. Its not your conventional restaurant setting, so dont expect that. I love the cat photos in the bathroom area.
the food was great. very Kool place
Good coffee. Good lemonade. Nice people. My wife has a doctor imposed diet. They were very accommodating and kind
The Yeti is a very cool venue for live music, as well as a unique cafe. I recently visited this establishment for the first time and was impressed by how friendly and professional the staff were. The interior of the restaurant is small but well decorated and features a very functional layout.
Amazing food. it s a cute place to sit. Please keep the quality up we really need some good restaurants in the area. I love this place totally!
Tiny, cramed, unique little spot downtown. I loved everything about it. Really amazing food options for everyone, including vegan. Amazing breakfast options, and really solid coffee. Kitchener classic
Friendly staff. Cute little venue. Didnt try the food this time but I will the next time I go there.
Tasty sandwiches, delicious lattes! Love this spot, can get busy and there may be a 30 min wait- well worth it tho :)
Great place to catch a bite!
The food and atmosphere is great! A nice spot for a quick breakfast with a friend. I got the French toast and a chai latte.
Absolutely wonderful, quirky and packed in tight, but felt like we were on holiday somewhere exotic. Bravo! Parking sucks but that can be expected downtown. This gem is a must-try! Vegetarian options: lovely options with much thought given
Good
Delicious food and good vegetarian options. Loved their late too!
Loved the food, ambiance and service!
Have yet to have a bad meal or bad experience at The Yeti. Staff are the most sincere and make you feel right at home. Patio was packed but indoor is still a cozy place to sit and eat.
This place is truly lovely, with the friendliest and most welcoming staff! The coffee is fantastic and the lattes are perfectly balanced. The vibe is uplifting and the environment is suitable for reading and working, although this place may not be the best choice for those who prefer quieter spaces. The background music is at a moderate level, effectively masking conversations without making the tables and walls rattle. The food is delicious and is made with fresh ingredients. Whats even better is The Yetis support for local suppliers, including my personal favorite, Eby Manor. As an additional pleasant surprise, there is a serious acrylic (or oil?) painting of a yeti in a forest on one of the walls that is sure to bring a smile to your face!
A staple of KW cuisine. Delightfully quirky, with delicious food. They have a small menu, which is always a good sign, because what they have they do expertly. Have spent delightful Sat mornings having a delightful brunch on their outdoor patio, and then wander across the street to the Kitchener farmers market. If you havent gone, make the Yeti your newest discovery.
Great vibes and delicious food.
Super cute cafe with great food and really friendly service
Didnt quite like the food for the price. Long wait and burnt hashbrowns. Mediocre.
Went here with my boyfriend and the staff were friendly, patient, and helpful. We sat on the patio and enjoyed some sandwiches and I have to say the pregnant Sasquatch was a favourite amongst both of us. We also ended up getting a bit sandwich, lemonade and a hash. Their miss match dishes are a fun touch added to their cool atmosphere.
Make sure its your kinda food before you order. The banking schemes of each meal is pretty hard to understand. Food is precier too. I would recommend it for people whore big on organic, keto or special diets.
Amazing
4 of us went for breakfast. Very tasty, freshly made. Opposite the Farmers Market is great location. We had omelet, eggs over easy, scrambled, sausage, bacon, great toast. Very nice service.
I loved this diner. The staff was very friendly and the food was very tasty. And its right beside the Kitchener Market. There are a lot of regulars and the staff has a great rapport with them all. I will go there again. Went there again today. Loved the Brekkie sandwich Food
Such quality food, incredibly tasty and nice environment.
Fun quirky place. Worth a visit for sure! Food was excellent!
Their French toast is amazing!
Swiss French toast was absolutely delicious Would highly recommend!
Amazing breakfast!! Wow! The freshly squeezed orange juice is sooo good.
Vegetarian options: Great place to come for a vegetarian friendly meal Recommended dishes
Best place for a casual lunch in KW!
Cute place, above average food! I love the homey vibe, feels like youve walked into someones house. Reminds me of the good ol days of Jacks Parking: Nearby parking on King St.
The pregnant cow girl is to die for. The price hurts but its one of those places where the quality of everything else just makes up for it. Health nuts will love this place because of the gluten free and keto options they offer.
Super cozy cafe in the heart of Kitchener! A perfect place for breakfast or lunch, and right across the street from the Kitchener Market. Has a mix of both indoor & outdoor seating, perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch with friends or family. Decor here is super unique and the staff are friendly, making the experience dining here fantastic!
Great coffee! Ingredients supplied by small local businesses. Very good espresso. The sandwiches are very well prepared. The pregnant cowgirl comes on a multigrain bagel stuffed with eggs, cheddar, avocado, bacon, tomato, and garlic aioli. The breakfast burrito is also good. Great soundtrack. Good service.
Quick and efficient service. A cozy cafe in hidden away in downtown. the food and presentation is well worth it. I love this place totally!
Yeti is undoubtedly one of my all-time favorite brunch and breakfast spots. Ive been there numerous times, and each visit has consistently delivered delicious sandwiches, refreshing orange juice, and a warm and welcoming staff. Their sourdough bread and mixed berry jam are particular favorite of ours, and I can never resist pairing a multigrain bagel with my breakfast there.
absolute absolute gem! the food is delicious I ve had the hash, the bob, and the doug (the best sandwich I ve ever had, hands-down) the portions are definitely filling, and you can tell the ingredients are high-quality. the staff are fantastic, and so is the coffee! will be back again and again :)
Truly a hidden gem!
I really like the atmosphere here. Staff are very positive and food is great. Great coffee and espresso! Im very pleased. Thank you for following me on Facebook Ann Carolina profile and on my Instagram profile @one_of_a_kind_writings.
Food and staff were so lovley
Ayden is an amazing bartender and even better DJ. would highly recommend The Yeti and their staff for any weekend events!!
I was introduced to this hidden gem by a local who raved about the yeti sandwich and I was not disappointed. Definitely a inclusive atmosphere with options for everyone! I cant get enough BLT and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness, like my Mom made it. My friend enjoyed a pregnant sasquatch and moaned a little too loudly.
My fave is their breakfast plate. Choose four items from a list and have the breakfast you want.
A beautiful cozy place to stop by for lunch good food, great staff!
10/10 this is the best breakfast/brunch place I ve ever eaten at. Food was brought out much quicker than expected. Service was great and very friendly. Definitely will come back next time I m visiting.
Loved that I found this place Food was delicious, latte was super yum. I ll go out of my way to come back. I didn t know that we were supposed to return our dishes to the counter so I apologize for that!
Came here while visiting some friends in Kitchener. I had the brekkie (I chose bacon, hash browns, sourdough toast, halloumi), and my partner had the Swiss French toast with cheddar cheese and sliced apple. Both were delicious. Favourite part of my meal was the hash browns, made with potatoes and sweet potatoes. Really well spiced. I also got a maple oat latte, and he got a lavender latte. Both were fantastic but I regretted getting oat instead of a traditional latte because my partner s was soo nice and frothy. The vibe here was great too. Reminded me of my fave breakfast place Mizti s in Toronto (RIP).
Great place for breakfast!
Honestly a nice cozy spot with good tasting food. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very hipster-esque. My only reservation is the price of the food is a bit high. My girlfriend and I go there when we want a bit of a lighter breakfast or brunch, as you can get much more food for the same price from another place like Mel s or Cora s. Dietary restrictions: I was able to get a gluten free variation on my food and it was delicious.
Yumm :-)
We were going to the market opposite and saw this place by chance . We entered and it gave a very warm wibe. I ordered coffee and French toast which were one of the best I have had . Wish I could go back soon
Amazing brunch spot. Loved their homemade garlic aioli sauce so much, we bought a can of it for home! Dietary restrictions: Beyond meat sausages were an option and delicious!
Delicious food, good vibes.
As someone in the service industry I always appreciate when the staff greet you immediately and warmly. By far I enjoyed the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. Thank you
Had the breakie sandwich! Hands down the best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten!! Eclectic quirky and cute I highly recommend a visit!!
Quirky and delicious! We went pretty early on a Saturday morning, so there wasnt much of a wait. Im a vegetarian, and there were great options. We popped across the street to the Kitchener market afterwards, and by the time we were done there, there was a line out the door! Definitely recommend going early to get a seat!
We came in for breakfast a couple weeks ago, had a lackluster experience. The thing Ill remember most was the staff in the kitchen shouting EW EW EW WHAT IS THAT? over and over again while we were eating. Exactly what you want to hear as youre tucking in to undercooked bacon, eggs and potatoes that were a mixture of cold and hot. It is uncomfortably small when busy, so the staff should know by now we can hear everything they scream in the kitchen
One of my longstanding favourites in KW! Great breakfasts and a delightfully quirky atmosphere.
Lovely place, groovy atmosphere and nice food. Very nice people.
Amazing staff and extremely welcoming atmosphere
Great place. Good vibes. Vegan options
Very cool spot, loved the decor and vibes. A lot of sandwich selection but not so much for traditional brunch fair. Got the French toast and lavender latte. Both were great and Id get again!
The food is good, the mood is funky, the waits are mindblowingly long. I am unsure how it can take as long as it does to make these sandwiches but somehow it s always about 30-45 minutes for a sandwich. Again, the food is good. I enjoy the food. I like the my little pony place holders. I can t stand the wait. Come at off hours and call ahead.
A bit too expensive but the food, drink and service is great. They probably pay their staff a living wage which is why its expensive for a cafe.
Came here for lunch with my girlfriend. Super fun and hip place for breakfast or lunch and the food is AMAZING!! Also a favourite for weekend brunches with my kids.
I Had a great vegan breakfast here last weekend. My only disappointment was they dont open until 10h00 on Sundays and I had to find somewhere else the next morning. Relaxed vibe, great food, Ill look for an excuse to visit so I can eat there again.
Never been, but looks cool. Also maybe cold... but Ive only seen it from across the street.
Everything here was so tasty! I had the regular breakfast and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and good quality. The sour dough is to die for and this is the first place where I got a tea latte that didn t just taste like milk, it was actually delicious. I will keep on coming here. The vibe is great, service and food is beyond amazing. I also really like the community postings they have. I don t have anything negative to say about this place!
Went there for breakfast. Delicious! You order at the counter and get a pony as a marker. The only downside is the level of music on the radio. We asked for it to be turned down 3 times in our 1.5 gour sitting/eating time. Good was fresh and delicious. Parking: Park on the road 2 hr limit Wheelchair accessibility: No. Stairs going up. Only wheelchair option would be to eat at the outdoor tables that are available...then it would be weather dependent
My first visit left a very positive impression. Friendly staff served excellent coffee in a warm, cozy shop. The music was divine. The Coconut bacon at breakfast was a perfect combination with the fried tomatoes and sourdough toast. I will definitely recommend this cafe to friends
Great hipster breakfast place; a favorite. They open a little late for breakfast during the week, only early on Saturday, and quite late on Sunday. Check the hours before planning a trip.
Awesome venue. Great tea and the best company. Dog costumes were so cute. @localpawsmagazine was there!
For one coffee late $6.99 one plate of food is $11.00 i think the place is pricey
Cozy coffee shop near the Farmers Market in Kitchener. They serve full meals as well, with evenings often transforming the space into a bar that hosts karaoke, comedy, and live music. Their staff are outgoing and fun and there is plenty of seating, as much of it spills out into the covered patio and street. Well decorated, designed, and upkept, this is definitely a local treasure. Parking: Limited street parking, there are municipal lots nearby
Victoria and her staff have created one of the best places in Downtown Kitchener to visit. They support the community in a number of different facets, and make some of the most delicious food, too. If Im ever at The Yeti - I know Im going to have an amazing time.
Stopped by on the way out of Kitchener and was very happy I did. The maple latte was delicious and so was the breakfast sandwich, but the service was the real star. The staff were super warm and friendly and just a joy to be around. Would definitely come back if I am ever in Kitchener again!
Cozy cafe with good breakfast options. They had freshly baked cinnamon buns when we dined in. The place is packed on weekends and takes 15 mins to get in.
Breakfast was delicious, coffee excellent and place has a great vibe. Only problem is that our takeout order was wrong. Wrong item was delicious, but not what I ordered. Will definitely go back and try again though!
Adorable cafe with great food! People working there are so kind!
Good food/coffee
