Amazing chinese food. Love that they have gluten free options!!

Mr wok has been my families go to place for Chinese food for a few years now. The customer service is always fantastic and the food is always fresh, hot, and nothing short of delicious.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free, celiac and they made sure it was gluten free and tasted delicious Food

I was very disappointed at this place. I ordered and picked up. Walked in and the place smelled terrible and the tables dirty. When I got home, the food was cold and food inedible. We threw everything out. I spoke to a man to let him know. I will never order again.

My entire family has gone here for years and its our favorite!

Really high quality chicken. Didnt enjoy the rice and egg rolls as much though.

Very friendly service but food wasn t the best. Most significantly, the portions were small and the chicken fried rice did not contain any veggies or egg, which was disappointing.

Check your take our combo platters before leaving the restaurant. Both of our orders had no sweet and sour sauce. A very dry meal. Update: Mistakes happen. It is how businesses handle those errors that gives the customer true insight into the quality of their enterprise. Today I received a gracious apology, great service and excellent food. Still the best Chinese food in Kitchener.

I was really disappointed in my combo and wings. The honey wings lacked quality, and my combo number 7 was cold. My egg rolls were like paste inside and didnt appear fresh, I ordered 2 extra rolls too..not yummy. Sorry

Overall great! Had vegetable lo mein and mushroom fried rice, very good. Chicken balls were really big - we prefer smaller with less batter, but still, were good. Wife liked egg rolls but husband didnt.

Worst take out ever Just moved to KW and looking for good take out places. Called in the order. It unfriendly and got transferred to someone?? No idea of pricel E as expecting good food. Food was cold. Everything was over breaded, chicken fried rice was just rice, a tiny bit of soya sauce and had to hunt for chicken. Lemon chicken, was fried bread with a tiny sliver of dried out chicken. Ribs were nothing but bone and griddle. Even the dog wouldn t touch it. Spring rolls were soggy and overcooked. Fried shrimp were heavy and soggy $90 for fried COLD food that ended up in the garbage because even the dog wouldn t eat it.

The Best food and Take-out service around. The staff is very friendly and the food is top notch. I highly recommend Mr.Wok especially for larger gatherings and family dinners. The selection is incredible. Ill definately keep coming back.

This place is absolute garbage. I just ate there and its one of the worst, if not the worst Asian food place that I have ever seen. I ordered chicken chow mein and they gave me sprouts instead. we went at lunch time and there was no one there. the decor was stupid. there are mirrors all over, probably put in place to make us judge ourselves for choosing such a horrible place. I cant get the wretched taste of sprouts out of my mouth. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...wish I can give a 0 star but 1 is the minimum. 0/5. Very disappointed. I just wanted to eat some noodles...

Had an amazing lunch here, impropmtu, while we were in the area shopping. Two weeks later we purposely came back because the food was so good! Very, very disappointed to find a note on the door that they were on holiday and closed . Wish their hours had been updated on google as we went out of our way to get there. But....we will still comeback another time, however we will call first.

This place is garbage. Chicken fried rice and chicken chop suey with absolutely no chicken.rice is old and stale. Qhatta rip off for $14.50 with a drink .stay away

I got the house noodles and a spring roll. The spring roll was not good and the noodles were over cooked, as well as so extremely salty, I threw it all out. Waste of 20 bucks. :(

First time ordering was New Years Day 2022. We ordered dinner for 3, extra egg rolls, Almond So Guy, and General Thai Chicken. Everything was fantastic except the Almond So Guy had a lot of batter however, everything was very fresh. We ordered today;dinner for 2, extra egg roll and General again. We are obsessed with the General Thai. Its crispy, saucy, and spicy. Our 7 year old loves it too we need to order 2 next time.

We have ordered at least 6 times and each time the food has been delicious and super fresh! It is our go-to takeout spot.

Moving from Hamilton we were looking for a new Chinese spot and sure enough it was right around corner. Great food, great prices, great service. I am very happy to have found it. We ordered a dinner for one and shared, it was perfect. Also hard to find a good spare rib and LOVED these, thanks Mr.Wok

Bought Combo 9.. service was friendly. Wait time was standard. Portion was okay.. biggest complaint is just bland flavour except for the egg roll.

Not great, not bad. Wait time was short, which was nice as I was on lunch. Asked about the specials and ordered a lemon chicken, fried rice, and egg roll - Egg roll was great, Fried rice didnt have any egg or veggies, the lemon chicken had a decent flavour overall the portion felt small for a $14 lunch with a diet coke but it was enjoyable

Everything was very greasy and over salted. The sauces were cold when they arrived. It is fine in a pinch but there are better places out there. They were very fast delivering it.

Delicious, good prices and one of the only good Chinese food places open on a Tuesday. We got the meal for 4 and everything that came with it was awesome and flavorful. Will return soon!!

We tried Mr.Wok because our regular spot was closed and I dont think well be going back! Food was great and delivery guy was very polite.

I have been ordering food from here from the 90s and it has never disappointed! Quality food that is tasty, not too oily or salty! The only thing we dont order there is the chicken wings - they are a little too skimpy. We order: Special Fried Rice, Cantonese Lo Mein, Dai Dop Voy, BBQ Pork, Spring Rolls & Fried Wontons

Im happy to call Mr. Wok my neighbourhood Chinese restaurant. We order pretty regularly and have never been dissappointed. Theyre usually quick, the prices are good, the food quality and servings are great - it is really everything I want out of a regular spot!

Food is fantastic (especially the chop suey) and the service is even better. Highly recommended for some American style Chinese food.

Id give it a zero stars but dont have that option. Called this restaurant at 515pm this evening and order the dinner for 3 for a Fathers day meal. I was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes and was even asked if I knew where they were located. When my wife arrived at 545pm not only was our order not ready but they didnt even have a record of it. Very displeased with the service. Had heard only good things and decided to give it a try. Never again.

This is my favourite Chinese food location. I love that it is family run. The owners are such beautiful people. I love the connection my partner and I have made with them. Now onto the food. The portions are way more then I would expect for the price you pay. The flavors are delightful. I have never had a problem with anything here. Thank you so much for having such a friendly welcoming atmosphere with amazing food.

I ordered sesame chicken and cantonese lo mein. The noodles came almost completely uncooked. Like they had been tossed in water to soften them then put in the container. When chewed the noodles were crunchy and my teeth got stuck with uncooked pasta. There was no sauce or flavour on the noodles at all. When I called to let them know the dish wasnt made right 2 people told me this was the way lo mein was supposed to be, that the noodles were deep fried and thats why they are crunchy. I gave up and tossed the food but Im writing this review because 1. Lo mein noodles are supposed to be boiled, and 2. I can tell the difference between deep fried noodles and just severely under boiled raw noodles. Wont be ordering again :(

Absolutely disgusting customer service. My daughter ordered over 40 dollars of food and was very specific about it being vegetarian so she ordered vegetable chop suey and got just cooked bean sprouts and the worst was the pork in the vegetarian spring rolls which go against her boyfriends religion and he took a big bite and had to spit it out and the restaurants response was not their problem something must have happened in the kitchen will never order from them again and I would suggest nobody else does either

I honestly go here once a week. I love the food and the prices, the combinations platters have a lot of food for a great price and its very tasty! Ive never waited more then 15 minutes for food! They are always so fast and so friendly!

The most plain and unflavoured Chinese food that I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Old noodles were mixed with new noodles. Hardly any meat and undercooked vegetables. Save your time and money and go ANYWHERE else but here.

Ordered tonight, had a bit of a mix on what they took for payment. I did not hear it was only cash, but thats ok. Had cash. But the food is very good, the delivery person that worked there, the man..very nice, polite and fast deliver!!! Very happy and he was great!

Just ate from our pick up order at Mr Wok. Had the dinner for 3. We will almost certainly get at least 2 meals out of this order. Price was great and food was outstanding. Cant believe the amount of celery in the mixed vegetables with the price of celery. Will certainly order from them again.

I really enjoyed Mr. Wok. We like to have a variety of dishes and they did a great job with all of them. We picked up takeout and the food was still hot when we got home with it. I am a big fan of sliced BBQ pork and I prefer it to be sweet but at Mr. Wok it is more smokey. Still, would definitely recommend them!

Must have been a bad night for Mr Wok. Flat soggy egg rolls. Vegetable dishes were 90% celery. Little chicken, lots of batter. It is usually pretty good but the last two times have been disappointing.

This is some of the best Chinese food in Kitchener Waterloo.

Rice was absolutely bland and had pretty much no chicken in it. My egg rolls were over cooked and nearly empty. Ordered a side of sesame chicken and there was more broccoli than there was chicken, and the broccoli was very undercooked.. I was super disappointed and dont recommend anyone go there. Id rather pay an extra 20-30$ for good quality.

This was an absolutely terrible meal. It was the first time we ordered from here, and it will be the last. Sause was put on everything - the rice would make good wallpaper glue. My stomach is feeling queasy. The rice was really really disgusting and had a smell. It was flushed down the toilet. We were hoping we did not have to cook tonight, but after this terrible attempt of a meal, we had to cook after all. I will not order takeout from here again.

My experiences at Mr. Wok have always been positive. I find the quality of their food to be very good, and the dishes are always tasty.

This is a go to chinese place when were looking for takeout or delivery (nothing compares to the mandarin of course). Generous portions we usually have left overs for at least a day but usually 2 and very cost efficient. Usually order for pick up and is always ready when we get there. Ordered for delivery once and it came in half the time we were quoted. I always order one of the dinner specials as i always want a different variety of food as opposed to one or 2 sides. Very delicious with fast and courteous service :)

Ordered something for dinner and it was very pleasing. Everyone was happy with the flavours and freshness. Service was prompt and most pleasant! Nice disposition and welcoming folks inside. That always sets the tone for me and picking up our order on time and piping hot makes for an enjoyable meal. We all agreed that we would be ordering from here again!!

Just tried them for the first time. The honey garlic ribs were good but its the most tasteless fried rice Ive ever had. I wont be returning.

This is the best Chinese food I ve had in years!! The won ton soup was honestly remarkable with real slices of meat not the artificial stuff so good!! The rice was superior, the chicken balls hand made and probably the best sauce I ve ever had. Will be back!! Gotta eat here

My husband and I went for a late lunch today because we had read very good reviews about this restaurant. We were not disappointed! We both agreed that this was the best chinese food we have had anywhere in the K-W area. It stands out for its freshness and homemade quality. The wonton soup was definitely homemade and not just some canned broth with 1 or 2 wonton noodles. It was full of wontons and some extra chicken pieces in it and not too salty which goes for all of the 4 dishes we tasted. Very affordable with generous servings. Very satisfied with our visit and will definitely be returning again.

Chicken fried rice: missing chicken and veggies and egg, all rice , pat yourself on the back of you find chicken. Beef lomin not so bad, but more veggies and noddles than beef. I think they specialize in fillers and skimming the proteins.

Satay beef with about 8 small pieces of meat in a sea of celery, onions and cauliflower. Cantonese Chow Mein was slightly better. Not going back.

Will since new owners took over some time ago I must say the quality of food went down slightly. We just ordered again tonight and the #7 tray which I always get was same past few times, short about 25% ...only 3/4 full. Even side dish of chicken Chow Mein. We had the same dishes at a Chinese restaurant in penetanguishene 2 weeks ago, same price , trays totally full and delicious. In order to maintain my business they need to step it up a notch with quality and quantity. Otherwise its ok so I rate them a 6/10 .

I ordered from Mr Wok today for our company lunch. Not only was the food amazing but the customer service was outstanding. The lady was super wonderful on the phone when I placed the order. Than when she learned that their delivery company would take too long, she delivered the order herself! Mr Wok is now my go to Chinese restaurant.

It is your typical chinese food but its always tasty and freshly made. It had always been excellent quality and delivered/made within the given time. Not to mention, the workers alone make it worth going there. Everyone who works there that I have interacted with have all been super friendly, prompt, and accommodating.

Food was excellent. Probably the best Won Ton soup I have ever had. Waitress was extremely nice and didn t have to wait too long for the food. Prices are fair, especially for the amount of food you get. Lemon Chicken was a little more battered than I would have preferred but was tasty none the less. Will definitely be going back.

Delicious food at very affordable pricing with great customer service. Since we moved to a new location in Kitchener, our usual Chinese place was a bit too far. We discovered Mr. Wok and are glad that we have a new favourite close by! I recommend the won ton soup which is delicious - I would order a ton of the won tons from the soup as my meal if I could! This place also has the best egg rolls by far! The combos are good value and the portions are just right. Highly recommend giving Mr. Wok Chinese Restaurant a try!

Poor delivery service, half rotted vegetables: I usually simply withhold reviews of food that is less than satisfying, preferring to praise those places whose food is good and ignore the rest. This time, however, there were too many things that were really wrong. To begin with, the driver tipped himself instead of allowing me to choose whether to do so and how much to tip him. I handed him $40, in the form of 2 twenties for an order that totalled $26.22. He handed me 2 fives in change. That put me in the awkward position of having to decide whether or not to ask for the rest of my change. That amounts to poor service. Secondly, the vegetables were not fresh. I have done enough stir fries to know what the texture should be. Some of these vegetables had a sliminess to them that suggested they were anything but fresh. So I simply couldnt eat them Between the drivers lack of civility and the poor quality of the vegetables, Ive decided that my first order will be my last unless you can prove to me that you are capable serving properly fresh vegetables and ask your driver to observe proper manners when making change. It should be the customers decision, not his as to how much of a tip is warranted, especially since there was already a $6.00 charge for the delivery.
