Whether you are celebrating with a group, planning a family birthday or looking for an intimate nook for two, dels is a great choice for a night out. dels vibrant casual setting, open kitchen and comfortable bar are matched with precise and unpretentious service. Our Chef's approachable Italian kitchen cuisine is always prepared with the highest standards and freshest ingredients. At dels we make our pasta from scratch, use only the best tomatoes for our sauce and bake our pizzas in a stone hearth pizza oven. Great Italian cuisine is inspired by robust wine; the perfect match can be found by the glass or bottle on our sommelier's wine list. Buon Appetito!
The atmosphere was perfect! They had Christmas lights and decorations on tables I enjoyed the vibes and the food Risotto was a little bit dry for my taste however I think many prefer it this way, main portions was very big. Creme brulee was super tasty Highly recommended
Great restaurant. Our server Ryan was attentive and professional. Pasta are all hand made on site. Only complaint was the fried seafood appetizer was over cooked, however the main courses were excellent.
Went here for dinner with a friend. We started with the arancini, and I had the plant based pizza and cheesecake for dessert. The arancini and pizza were delicious, however I’ve had better cheesecake. My friend had the chicken tetrazzini and she loved it. The service was absolutely phenomenally, our server Ashley was very attentive and helpful. The bread with cinnamon butter was absolutely delicious. This will definitely be a place I will be coming back to.
Dined here today and the food was amazing and the service was even better. Not to mention the free bread. I'll definitely be a returning customer. If I had one complaint, it would be the Calamari. Both the calamari and the sauce were amazing, but $18 for the serving size we got was pretty steep :(
My husband and kids took me here for the first time for my birthday. We could not say enough good things. Everything was chefs kiss. The service was exceptional. The food was authentic and delicious. The atmosphere transported us back to Italy.
The food here is really good, has not disappointed yet. The pasta's are handmade and are great tasting. They also have a special menu (on top of their regular menu) that changes every month to highlight a different part of Italy which keeps things interesting. The appetizers are also pretty amazing as well.
One of my best experiences . I really love this place. The service was so good. Our waitress was so nice and kind. We really loved both pizza and pasta. They brought us tiramisu as a birthday cake. If you are looking for location for your special occasion, I really recommend this place.
The service was very attentive and friendly. Very nice little patio, it really doesn't feel like it's surrounded by a parking garage. There are a few umbrellas, but overall not a lot of shade. Overall the food was good. Very nice pastas. The pizza was overly burnt in places (beyond what you would typically expect for oven-fired pizza). Lovely tiramisu. They've got an interesting non-alcoholic Cocktail menu. Of the ones we tried, the "Strawberry Field Day" was good, but "Island Fizz" was kind of bland.
The food was amazing and the service was friendly. Can dress up or dine causal here, quite a nice atmosphere. The food came faster than I would have liked on my date with my wife. Pretty good complaint to have!
Our server was friendly and the manager came to say hi at the beginning of the meal. However after the main course the service got much slower. My husband got food poisoning from his dinner which we didn t know until hours later so not much we could do about that. My water glass had lipstick on it (I was wearing none). It was my birthday dinner and they generously offered to bring dessert for free. Overall just such a mixed bag? We waited half an hour for the card reader to pay our bill as our server had gone MIA. The manager brought it over. If my husband hadn t gotten sick and we had been able to pay in a timely fashion I d want to rate 4* but unfortunately we know it s not stomach flu since no one else in the house has gotten sick.
Good food
I sometimes check my sister out. Haircuts are always great. Five stars!
Good servis and delicious food
Incredibly fast service matched with amazing food. Will definitely be back for the mamma Mia meatball!!
Excellent food. Load but thats to be expected. We had a great evening. Food : 5/5
The flower pots were unique and our server was amazing thank you Marissa
First time visit. We especially went there for Tiramisu which was amazing in taste. Need to explore other items as well. Food
I want to give this place five stars I really do. I certainly give it 4.5. We love this place and we go for every birthday. But they seem to have the same things over and over again. They never change it up. And weve been going for years. It would be nice if they had something more seasonal. We certainly will go again. Weve got another birthday coming up soon. I just want them to give something different on their menu once in awhile.
My friend is disabled and could not manage circular staircase, but the manager came and accompanied us across road to hotel and we used elevator and basement corridor to get to restaurant. Great friendly server and delicious pizza! Thanks for a great visit!
Cate J is the most pleasant angel! She truly made our experience. Amazing food value and service, thank you!
The worst experience. Pasta was pure mush!!! If you cant cook eldante, clise your doors. Just another example od East India taking over the world. They eat garbage why do we have to. Its to late, they are even in Rome, cooking Italien, they should invest in deodorant!!!
Calamari - 3/5 Sea food Sauce - 5/5 Stella - 5/5 Chicken Marsala - 3.5/5 Stella Fettucine - 4.5/5 Waitress - 5/5 Atmosphere - 5/5 Host Staff - 3/5 Restroom - 5/5
Delicious
Doug is a wonderful server! Go get some cinnamon butter folks. Pro tip - they sell it by the jar!
Good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
Great food great atmosphere. Waiter Conner is amazing. Great conversation and really attentive.
The ravioli with pumpkin filling were incredible Such a balanced taste will definitely come back Food
Amazing food and service. Will definitely come back. Thank you Maurice for your great service and making the birthday dinner super special.
Olivia was a wonderful and personable server! We came for our anniversary dinner and they made it a special evening for both of us :)
Family of four. My sons 28th Birthday. They offer a cake service where you can bring it in and its presented. Well...at the end if the meal, she brought it over, taped in the box, with the candles inside that shouod have been lit after the cake was removes from the box. The cake was literally brought to the table with a tag on it. Then we were asked if we wanted plates seriously?? I had to tske it out, light the candles and wait for 2 plates?? Didnt even bring forks after clearing table. The meals? I ordered Risotto which was so undercooked, it was crunchy. I returned it. Want really validated on it. They did replace with gnocchi with boar. The gnocchi was actually burnt. The boar was shredded into it and it was literally cold. Like they mixed it in, like an after thought. Mt mothers creamy gnocchi was OK. My son ordered the tetrazzini with penne. He said that was good. Ordered some fontana cheese balls that were burned to a crisp all leaking and served as a giant clump with all the cheese leaking out. Really gross. Any server could see this was just a giant clump of garbage. Talked to the service manager who apologized for the nightmare birthday. She did remove my meal off bill and the apps. This was a train wreck meal and we will never go back. They brought ONE flower pit of bread for 4. Im assuming we were all supposed to stick out hands in it and tear it apart trying to make it equal?? The quality and service here was extremely disappointing. This restaurant has gone way downhill. Where is the kitchen manager for quality check and training for servers to realize you dont bring something sealed in a box. How rude. Ive been a patron to the Charcoal group of restaurants since Charcoal was a one entity behind the old highway market. Giving this food and service anything over 1 star, makes me question what the standards are for patrons. Do better Charcoal group. Our celebration was knocked down and insulting.
Since year this place was on my bucket list. Finally got a chance to explore it and I regret not visiting here early. The ambience and infrastructure is absolute fab! The sceneries, dining layout, lights all speaks fame in high volume. The food is delicious with the exceptional italian taste Bava gonnochi Bruschetta Vulcano Pizza yummy yum all finger licking. The drinks were all worth the price as well. A Must visit one Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options but still are there.
Boar gnocchi was amazing
Apps were great , service was great, just a little slow . Main course chicken parm, which is supposed to be one of their specialty dishes , underside of chicken wasn t just overdone , it was completely black . They offered to remake it but I wasn t interested , the meal was ruined, appetite gone . Nowhere near as good as it used to be here , will likely not be returning
Cosy atmosphere, food was amazing- we had Tetrazzini and Chicken Florentine Pizza
One of my favourite restaurants. The food is amazing and so is the decor. Love their drinks, the fresh bread, the pizzas...
One of my favourites in Kitchener!!
Ate here for our anniversary. Cant recommend them enough. Excellent vibe and even more amazing food. Dietary restrictions: They have an entire plant based menu and seperate gluten free menu. Even vegetarian options are clearly indicated. Extremely inclusive!
Delicious and great prices
Just OK--everything was either spectacularly good, or spectacularly bad. I could have titled this review, Tablecheese: Waited On by Teenagers!!! So get this: A young kid offered me parmesean cheese for my ravioli pasta. Innocent enough, right? The gorgeous specimen of cheese he wielded was large and in charge!!! I excitedly said yes please! but instead of making it rain delicate shreds of white well-aged parmeseani perfection onto my plate, this kid PROCEEDED TO PLACE the ENTIRE wedge of cheese naked-side down (!!!) onto the table. Not onto a plate, ladies and gentleman. Not even onto the napkin with which he held the cheese. A good 2 inches of naked tip of wedge was touching our narsty tabletop. Without another word, the lad walked off. My colleague and I raised an eyebrow at eachother in confusion. I have never felt so spectacularly stunned in a restaurant before in all my days. In a wishful moment I wondered could this all be for us!? I never imagined having a glorious 6 inch triangle wedge of well-aged, dry, hard parmesean all to myself. It looked like it weighed at least a pound. I was about to rescue the glorious 6 inches off the table when my more worldy colleague hissed at me, dont touch!! So, I let it be. It was so gross--but at the same time, it was like the holy grail of parmesean sitting naught 9 centimeters from my trembling hypoglycemic hands. The inner conflict was nigh-on unbearable. Those 60 seconds waiting for him to return and explain what in 7th heaven was going on felt an eternity. The lad did in fact return, cheese grater in hand. As soon as it started making sense, it started to not make sense just as fast, because he wrapped his prepubescent-looking hands around the napkin surrounding the cheese, and proceeded to grate tablecheese onto my ravioli. Table-cheese. The part of cheese that was only moments ago stroking the table, was now stroking the cheese grater, which means I now have table-cooties my pasta. I was so shocked and horrified I couldnt say a word. I tried to get the young man to grate the table cheese onto my colleagues plate (anywhere but mine) however my colleague grinned evilly and said you first. My colleagues are always pranking me because Im an easy target-- naive. The kid seemed to think it was normal, though, to grate table-cheese into ones pasta, which was by now cooled to lukewarm after awaiting his return with the grater. And this being my first time at a fancy a la carte Italian restaurant, I figured maybe this is normal?! Plus, I was so hungry, I decided to make it a when in Rome! moment and devoured the pasta with said tablecheese. 2 hours post-meal, my stomach was doing summersaults and I was in *incredible* pain. There is no way to know for sure if the table cheese caused my intense digestive upset. I ordered the seasonal squash ravioli with chamomile tea; my colleague had pizza, brushetta and a Sprite. A delightful breadroll baked in a teracotta flowerpot came complimentary with a dual assortment of herbed butters: cinnamon and herby garlic. Also complimentary was ice water which clinked melodically in fine glass cups. Before Tip, the bill was ~$85. As is customary for Canadians, we tipped (but I really, really, REALLY, didnt want to. They never offered to top up my tea with hot water, for example. Plus the Parmesean-da-table was traumatizing). The waitstaffs final fumble came after I asked for a small container to takeaway the remainder of the herbed butter, but instead, the lady took away my herbed butter and threw me a container of pizza dipping sauce--100% not what I asked for. Im sorry to not have much nice things to say... at least the decor and atmosphere was stellar. Hats off to the interior designer and to the chef that crafted the Brushetta. Top notch! The paltry sum of squash ravioli, on the other hand, tasted like it came out of a microwave dinner box. Nada good. My colleagues luck was much better than mine!!! His meat lovers pizza, brushetta and herbed butters were this meals only saving grace.
Best italian food in the region and has been for decades, but i had to give 4/5 stars on the food section unfortunately because on this last visit i realized that there are no craft beer options at all, and IMO no beer that is anywhere near able to match the quality of the food....a static or rotating IPA and lager from the likes of Fairweather, willibald, Bellwoods, or Badlands is absolutely all Dels is missing to be a perfect 10/10. The cocktails and wine menu are always on point, just need that beer to match.
The young man serving out table was fantastic - great service and nice atmosphere!
Our family came here to celebrate a few birthdays in late September. We picked this place because it was centrally located and easily accessible for everyone and had fantastic reviews. Im happy to say the place lived up to the reviews! Everyone at our table loved what they had ordered and there were no complaints. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and superb service. I ordered the giant meatball and the Bomba pasta. Our server misunderstood my order and brought out the meatball with a side of Bomba sauce. In his defense you can also order that on its own (which a lot of people do apparently) and I didnt specify pasta. When I asked when my pasta was coming he immediately realized the miscommunication and promptly resolved the mistake without hesitation. He put a rush order on my pasta and honestly I was amazed at how quickly the kitchen turned out my missing pasta dish. I was able to enjoy my meal with everyone else and not have to wait as I had feared. I wish I remembered his name, but kudos to that gentleman! Now a bit more about the food.. try not to fill up on the bread even though the speciality butters they bring out are divine. I say this because the mains were delicious and great portion sizes so youll definitely be stuffed if you dont leave enough room. I made this mistake and devoured two helpings of bread. Sadly I could only take a bite of some deserts at our table because I was too full. The tiramisu and canolis were on point! Next time Ill give the creme brule a try because we will definitely be returning in the near future :)
Devon was amazing! We will be back! Food was also great!
There were a lot of choices, food and service were great.
Just perfect. We loved it.
Service was excellent. Food not so much. It might have been what we ordered. They should tell you the hunters bowel is a cold meal. Cold hard rice and beef at room temp should have a note in the menu.
The service was excellent we had a really good waiter. The flowerpot bread was honestly the only good thing with the whole meal. The spaghetti was undercooked and was really thick didnt have much taste to the sauce. The tetrazzini noodles also were undercooked but the sauce over the noodles was good.
We just wanted a few drinks and appetizers. The crab cakes were very good. You got 3 which was fine for 2 people. The Ceaser salad was really good. It was pretty big. The server was friendly and on point. We sat on the patio.
We came on a Thursday at 5pm for dinner. Their online menu is mobile phone accessible and very easy to read and understand. The restaurant has plenty of free parking. The interior was very clean and beautifully decorated. Our hostess and server were very professional and courteous. The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol. Since this restaurant does fresh pasta this is exactly what we ordered and we were definitely very impressed. All the dishes were exceptional from taste to portion size. We will definitely return because the flavor of the food was truly outstanding, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was perfect.
Great spot with delicious food! I was treated to a birthday dinner here by a friend, and that wasn t the only treat I received - Fantastic service from Devin along with a complimentary dessert were a welcome surprise that topped the experience off.
Ive come here a number of times and I must say they have the most passive aggressive staff and service, the differential service provided to persons of color is so glaring it makes me uncomfortable even before I get there. They had an exit sign in the store which we took and had staff run after us to scream at us while we were outside that it wasnt an exit, well if its not an exit maybe take off the sign that says it is, have something that says use other door or exit just for staff. I have never had a good experience here service wise and I think this time would be the last time coming here for me.
From making the reservation to paying the bill, it was a very positive experience.
Had a super experience at Dels - the food was amazing and the staff were absolutely wonderful. The mushroom risotto was my favourite!
The best Italian food in Kitchener. And we wear served by Nimish he really gave the best service. From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations
Gnocchi & vulcan pizza(spicy) was delicious!
One of The best pizzas Ive ever had.
I had an amazing dining experience, thanks to Lillian. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure all our needs were met promptly. Her positive attitude and professionalism truly enhanced the overall experience. I highly recommend asking for Lillian if you want exceptional service!
Have a wonderful experience for the first time. Fresh pasta, great desserts and super service from Evan and other wait staff that helped the experience go perfect! Seems that all staff are trained by a pro! Will be back , cheers
The food was pretty good. We had an early reservation (5:30) for dinner and were seated in the corner of a room. I always worry about getting seated at a corner because its easy to forget about people when it gets busy. I believe it ended up happening to us. The service was incredibly slow. Our wait staff were friendly and at the end apologized to my friend for the wait. It was a wait for everything, especially being able to order dessert and then getting the bill. I was tempted to leave without ordering dessert because of the long wait but we were there to celebrate my friends birthday. I had ordered coffee with my dessert but it was lukewarm when it arrived. I didnt have it in me to complain. I just wanted to finish up and go. I believe we were there for 2 hours; party of 2 on a Wednesday and only had dinner and dessert. While I enjoyed the food, I probably wont go back. I cant imagine what the wait is like on the weekend!
The service here is exceptional! Our server Devon was incredibly friendly and gave us the best experience at this lovely restaurant! The food is delicious will definitely be a new regular, and will be hoping to be served by Devon again!!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Dels. We were celebrating our friends birthday and Yasmin made us feel right at home. 10/10 service, will be back.
We love the family deal they have here, the house made pasta is always delicious and the service is fantastic would recommend this restaurant 10/10!
Vegetarian options: vegan menu!!!!! YOM Food
We celebrated our anniversary at Dels and it was the perfect date spot. The best atmosphere, service and food. Ashley was a wonderful server and made our night very special. The botanico salad and mushroom risotto were the most delicious vegan/plant-based dishes Ive got at Dels yet! Thanks so much, we will be back.
Enjoying wonderful dinner at Dels. They serve wonderful steaming hot bread in a pot with cinnamon butter and herb & garlic butter. Started off with Gluten free spinach artichoke dip, Gluten free Stella penne, Boar gnocchi and finishing off with salted caramel gelato. Yum yum. Our server Ashley was awesome. Good job. Dietary restrictions: Great selection for GF.
First time at this restaurant, the food was great and the service was over the top. Only complaint, and its a minor one. The area we were sitting at was a little loud.
Came here for my brothers 30th birthday .the food was terrible tasted cold when it came out and multiple people said they felt sick after they came back to my house for the after party. After finishing our meals they took 30-45 minutes to get our bills (and we had to ask them to get it). Absolutely embarrassing considering that Charcoal Steakhouse is above and provides much better food and service. Not asking for a discount or free meal or anything, just want everyone to avoid having a terrible meal/experience here because I would feel TERRIBLE if someone else came here to celebrate an event or come here for a nice dinner.
I would give 5 stars if they did Uber Eats and Doordash service
My boyfriend and I recently visited Dels for his birthday and we have nothing but good things to say about our whole experience! First and foremost our server Theressa was everything we appreciate in a server, from her extremely quick service, to frequently checking in on us, and going the extra mile. When hearing it was my partners birthday she immediately asked what dessert he would like, and when I told her I already had some at home, she insisted she pack one up for us anyway! Theressa was truly such a delight and we hope to have her the next time we visit, which I expect will be soon. Aside from our lovely server, the food was arguably the best Italian we have had in the city and the atmosphere was fantastic. We visited during a heat wave and unfortunately could not sit on the patio, but intend to next time and as it looks gorgeous. Would recommend Dels to anyone :) (we already have to many of our family and friends) !
On a busy Tuesday evening, we had a delicious meal shared with friends and enjoyed a complimentary dessert.for.the birthday girls! Would give 5 but there was no complimentary water served. Is this no longer a standard at meal service? Its a charming & lively eatery. Food
Great vegan options! The bruschetta was amazing.
Had a server named Devon, most amazing experience I ve ever had at a dining establishment. By far the best server in Waterloo. What a great young sophisticated individual that Devon guy is, deserves a promotion immediately!!
I will start with the good. The freshly baked bread and the butters are very good. Unique. Veal marsala is extremely flavorful. However it seems that the restaurant is very ill equipped to handle substitutions. We asked for the pasta in the veal marsala to be substituted with asparagus. Got 3 tiny pieces of asparagus. Eventually we got pasta, although thats not what we wanted. Staff was nice but not offering good substitutes is not a good sign especially when people have various dietary intolerances.
A lovely Italian place to get a great meal and enjoy peoples company. It is expensive. Be prepared to pay on average $50 per person. I had the bruschetta in the arranchini which were great. My pasta was okay. It was the seasonal limon gnocci pasta but my friends had the risotto and the tetrazzini and they were much better. Each table is served flower pot bread hot out of the oven with two types of butter and top it all off. We had creme brulee which was lovely
Food here is great and overall the experience was good. Service was a little slow, she took awhile to get to our table and disappeared for 15/20 minutes after we received our entrees which was kind of annoying, other than that everything was really good.
A very delicious and stylish shop! The amount of pasta is also just right. The menu is also easy to understand. Maybe there are a lot of stylish dishes? The cinnamon cream on the bread is the best.
Great service and food
Absolutely love their complimentary bread served in a flower pot with herb butter dip. Their Vespa pizza is one of my favorite pizzas in the entire KW area. Its always fresh and baked in their wood oven. For dessert, we had cannoli with chocolate and pistachios. Although I ve loved everything I ve tried here, the cannoli wasn t my favorite; it was too sweet for my liking. Maybe I ll try the crème brûlée next time! The prices aren t too bad, considering it s a fine dining restaurant. We usually end up spending $15-20 per person. All in all, a great place for a date or dinner with friends.
Amazing place! Such a nice looking restaurant and the food was amazing. Our server was fantastic and very quick with service! We were in an out in under an hour for two meals plus dessert. To start, we had the complimentary flower pot bread which is amazing. It comes with herb butter and cinnamon butter. The herb one is incredible. I got the shrimp and sausage bake and my partner got the Stella fettuccine. Both were awesome and super filling! We left with almost half our dishes for leftovers. We got the vanilla cheesecake for dessert and it was so creamy and delicious! What a great experience :)
Very delicious, my recommendations !!!!
For context, my gf and I go here pretty often with friends or date night; usually during peak hours so we are accustomed to the wait times. Up until tonight, the place has been solid. In this visit however, we had made a reservation for 7:15. After we were seated, no one talked to us until after 7:30. We got our apps in a reasonable time but our mains did not come for over an hour. When it did arrive, my food was water and the pasta soggy (see picture). I sent the food back after 3 bites and asked for the bill, the waitress did not take it off the bill until I asked why it was still on it. I paid, and spoke with the manager who was very apologetic. I left still with a sour taste in my mouth because I spent $100 for my gf s meal and my salad. It sucks cause this was our favourite Italian spot, we drive 1.5 hours round trip to come here and I don t see us coming back any time soon.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and incredible service! I recommend!
I had a very pleasant dinner here while staying at the Courtyard a nice pasta and pizza at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere.
Our first visit was nothing but wonderful. From service to food quality, everything was perfect. The butternut squash ravioli was delicious! We will most definitely be returning.
I went to this restaurant for my birthday and it was AMAZING! Everything was 5 stars! The food was super filling and a fair price. The bread came in a little flower pot which was so cute. The cheesecake was the BEST cheesecake I have ever had. It was a nice calming environment as well. One person in my party accidentally ordered something they thought was pasta but turned out to be pizza (their mistake) but our server got him what he wanted within five minutes and gave us the pizza for 50% off. Exceptional service! If you are ever in this restaurant, ask for Logan. We had a large party including children and he provided amazing service to us throughout the entire night. We will be returning!!!
A semi-casual italian inspired eatery - the staff is excellent. The food is very good. Ive been twice this month, and we enjoyed out time there. Highly recommend. Vegetarian options: My daughter ( Vegetarian ) found the options for dinner were very good, and very much enjoyed her selection.
One of the best plays that I have had Italian food they have this complimentary bread that keeps on coming, which is actually good. This reminded me of cactus club from Vancouver. The drinks had the same taste. The only thing that I found off for the desserts maybe it s just me but the desertswere OK compared to the food. The food was really great. It is a very good place for a date with a very good ambience.
Excellent vegan options, lots to choose from. The wine list is poor but inexpensive. Food : 5/5
I came to Dels for the first time to celebrate my university graduation and I am not normally one to leave google reviews, but the service was excellent and the food was wonderful. We made a reservation ahead of time for an early dinner and we were seated promptly and were greeted immediately. Our server, Julia, was absolutely fantastic. The manager came over at one point to greet us, giving me a coupon for my next visit as a little graduation gift which was really special. We chose to do the Family Share option, which was a great value for the four of us and all of the food was absolutely amazing. The brownie was a favourite; very light and went well with the espresso :) We will definitely be returning.
The culinary offerings were of exceptional quality, and the staff provided exemplary service. The ambiance was conducive to romantic engagements.
Excellent food and friendly staff, we enjoyed our meal but unfortunately the place is not very accessible. The restaurant is in the basement level of a hotel building, the only elevator is in the hotel which is quite a walk, and you need a hotel key to get back into the hotel from the restaurant (thankfully a guest let us in). I wish their website would have made this known.
Came for dinner on a Friday night and the food and service were amazing! Great atmosphere. We had the spin dip, boar gnocchi, and cheesecake.. all excellent! Would definitely recommend.
The best Italian in KW, by far. Ive been there so many times I lost count. Had a delicious sweet potato pasta + brie/honey/peppers pizza last night
Yummy food, wonderful decor and atmosphere
Service is fabulous. The atmosphere is A+. The food feel short for us. Less is more is something the kitchen would do well to consider. The Vespa pizza was drowning in balsamic vinegar. It was overpowering. I really should have sent it back. The mushroom risotto had way too much portobello mushrooms and they were very large hunks and simply too much. Too bad about the food. We still had a good time the servers are great and we love the atmosphere. So maybe it s on me. I should have sent the food back.
This is one of our favorite date night restaurants, lovely staff, great food and an overall awesome experience. We eat here once every two months or so and we keep coming back. The Manzo pizza is lovely, the salmon and pasta is delicious also. The last time we attended was March 3rd, 2023, what a crazy snow storm. My wife and I had a lovely young woman as a server. She was very kind and did a great job on my wifes birthday. My wife had an awesome time...kodos to the staff.
Great meal
Disappointed that Dels Italian Kitchen will no longer let you order from the Charcoal Menu like they used to previously when we went other times. To get private room Charcoal demands you spend a minimum of $1500.00 they never had this requirement before not very user friendly to make such demands. Went as a family for special birthday and 4 in our party were disappointed that one could not order off the charcoal menu since not much they can order off the Dels Menu since not pasta people. Birthday boy only had salad, tea, and dessert. Some food was ok but not spectacular for the price. The servers were great, but for hot beverages there was no offer of coffee or tea refills which is usually standard practice in most places. Parking: Lots of spots Kid-friendliness: Many activity sheets for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor
Came in for a quick bite to eat on Saturday. We sat at the bar. Our server was obviously new as he lied to us about what exactly was on the menu. Said the seafood pasta had a kick to it - it did not. He said the soup wasn t chunky - it was. We also ordered a negroni which we watched him make and to my surprise it tasted nothing like a negroni & came with a dried orange wheel?.. Besides the service our food was amazing and the ambiance is great for date nights. None the less I ll be back - hopefully sitting in the dining room with an actual negroni (for that price) and a server who just simply asks for assistance instead of lying.
We were a group of 11, and our table felt like it was in a hallway and we felt quite squished. Service was slow, waited a long time for drinks especially. The pizza I ordered was good, a little bland, and the crust was so thin it had to be folded to eat. Would I go again, not for the price they charge in relation to the service.
Best pizza I have ever had. Best Tiramisu ever. And service is 10/10. Dont walk by!
I need to say Tyler was one of the best servers we have ever had. If you want a dinning experience with your family and it be great go to Del s and ask for Tyler s section
Great atmosphere, staff were all very friendly, food came within a good period of time. I was expecting some really amazing handmade pasta and pizza, but to be honest, neither myself, nor anyone in my group, felt it was any more special or delicious than a pasta dish you could order from literally anywhere. Underwhelming pizza as well. Pricepoint is I guess these days typical for eating out, but with 4 meals and 2 alcoholic drinks, about $150 + tip sadly. Had some very unique pieces on the menu, but could use more delicious Italian classica that arent so fancied up. Vegetarian options: Didnt have a ton of vegetarian options that I liked. Fake chicken was horrible
April 2024 Hadnt been in 10+ yrs. Great service, manager and server were amazing. The food not so much, chicken parm and butternut ravioli were very good, sausage and pepper penne was ok at best, oregano pesto primavera was sadly disgusting. Much prefer Casa Rigitinos for good Italian food. Maybe we will check them out on another 10+ yrs.
The food was absolutely fantastic, and there were so many vegan/vegetarian options for me but lots of meat options as well. We got the vegan chicken parm, the gnocchi with boar, and the arancini as our app, and it was all out of this world good. The service was maybe the best I ve ever had, the food came out quick and hot, and all the staff were so friendly. The ambience was fantastic and it was 100% a vibe. I also like the way the tables are distanced so you have a little privacy, and the decor is so cute for pics. Would 100% recommend.
The food was so delicious and the service is really good and fast. The only reason I didn t rate 5 stars is because it s a bit more expensive than I expected.
Impeccable customer service. Thank you!
Amazingly delicious food with many different meal options from which to choose! Starting with the warm and fresh flower pot bread and ending with the smoothest, cream filled desserts, Dels Italian Kitchen is the place to go when you want to spoil yourself and loved ones!
Went to Dels for dinner April 2024 and had the chicken marsala highly recommend with rose sangria. Service was good as usual. We went on a Monday so it wasnt busy.
absolutely delicious! went last weekend for my boyfriend s bday and the food (especially the house-made bread and pasta) were phenomenal!! service was amazing and they gave us complimentary cannoli for the celebration definitely one of the best italian restaurants i ve been to!
The service was 6 stars. Super friendly, knew the menu and drink list. Very helpful with recommendations. The food was out of this world. Salmon and steaks were cooked to perfection. Portions were perfect but left enough room for the worlds best desserts. They also looked after my wifes allergies.
As with most high end restaurants in these days of late, it seemed as though Dels was a bit short staffed this past Friday when I attended a birthday party of 10. Our reservation was for later in the evening, 730pm. By the time we were ready to order food, they ran out of the regular bread and at least one do their featured dinners (the ravioli ). I ordered the seafood fettuccini which tasted good, but I was very disappointed to only receive 5 pieces of shrimp and possibly one scallop that was diced up small. This dish was over $25.00. I am not sure if the lack of protein was because the restaurant is low on the food or just trying to save money, it has really turned me off of coming back. Not saying I wouldn t give it one more try. But I hope this feedback is well received.
One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had in quite some time. We showed up without a reservation and were advised the dining area was full but we could grab a couple of seats at the bar. We did. We had the bruschetta, Caprese salad and a special they had which was an amazing seafood bowl. Food was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Bartender serving us was fantastic. Great experience.
Attended business dinner for 30+. Service, food, and setting were fantastic. 5/5
Hmmmm... hard to find something wrong with this place. I cant think of none. Perfection.
This was a great experience! The service was phenomenal, and the food was delicious. My friend and I ordered a variety because we love trying food and sharing! The service was fantastic, and she attended us very well from start to finish and went above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back!!
Rung in my wifes Birthday at Dels and it did not disappoint. Great appetizers, amazing entrées, fabulous drinks. Was soo good we went twice within a month. My wallet is a little sore, but they do have a dinner for 4 option that is budget friendly and very tasty.
Had dinner here over the weekend, It was absolutely delightful!! The food is sooo delicious, service is amazing, and the atmosphere is so cozy & inviting. I went with a group of friends for the first time and we all loved it. Excited to come back soon!
Good food
I had high hope for this place based on the reviews. I had the chicken bowl but couldnt eat it. Chicken was hard and dry. Passed it on to my husband he too couldnt eat it. It was the most tastless thing I had ever tried to eat! One kiddo complained paster was too dry and the other nibbles at his. And these kiddos eat everything put in front of them! I dont know what that drink was, but it definitely was not sangria! You could taste the alcohol but there wasnt any favourable taste to it. After sending it back twice, I gave it to my husband. At $14, a glass is not worth it. The bread was good. Ordered an extra and filled up on that! I dont know what was going on that night, but I was thinking maybe teenagers were in the kitchen? Server still got a tip, but you know she knows when she doesnt ask how your meal was! Waste of money. It was a disappointment
We have been going to Del Dante for past 20 years and always enjoy our meals and service
Fantastic! Was a fun vibe and packed on a saturday night! our server was so sweet and kind! food came out so fast and delicious! definitely a new favourite spot!!
Excellent, good atmosphere. More consistent and more relaxed than their other restaurants.
Not the best meal served on this occasion. They are normally an ok place to eat.
They have a very nice plant based menu section with great pizzas and pasta I was also told the spread that comes with the flower pot bread is plant based! I will have to come again! Vegetarian options: They have a whole vegan section with lots of options! Very happy with it
Takes a long time to get the bill. Food was okay, spaghetti was undercooked but flavour was good.
A little bit of Italy, we absolutely love this place the food was amazing. And great service. We will be coming back. Had nothing bad to say and very clean.
You can never go wrong eating here. Don t recommend the courtyard because it can get drafty. Food is amazing!
Dietary restrictions: They have a plant based menu Food
My favourite restaurant in the area for a nice meal! Always my go-to for special occasions. Friendly and fast service considering large sit-down restaurant; atmosphere is nice and warm! Some areas are a bit crowded and it can be difficult to find the right restaurant but I swear it s worth it. And the food to die for! No matter what I order I am in heaven. Warm flower pot bread with different flavoured butters? Yes please! Creative and cozy appetizers to share with the table? Delicious! Pasta, pizza, and other Italian dishes of your choosing? They got it, and at some of the best quality! My mouth is watering as I share this review
I found Del Kitchen to have a really nice atmosphere, making it a lovely place to dine. However, when it came to the taste of the food, its something that I dont usually prefer.
Found a table at Dels by accident, we were hoping to go to Charcoal Steakhouse but no tables. Delicious food, large meatballs ever, and delicious drinks
The serving sizes are very large and filling. The spinach dip had a great ratio of dip to pita, which is a common conundrum at restaurants. The restaurant was on the louder side, but a good meal.
Amazing scratch made pasta and pizza. Parking: Tight parking in the garage. Food : 5/5 |
Excellent Italian food with a beautiful interior Dietary restrictions: A gluten friendly menu is available Food : 5/5 |
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My boyfriend and I came here the day before Valentine s Day (because VDay was all reserved up) and had a great experience. The service was friendly and accommodating and the food was beyond words delicious. Even the complimentary bread and butter was perfection. Will definitely be back for more special occasions <3
My wife and I dined here last night because we wanted a night out for Valentines Day 1 day early. We decided on Dels because we love Italian and had great past experiences here. To start off the evening, I ordered a glass of red(Syrah), while my wife ordered a white wine. Her white wine, came out warm, which they quickly rectified thanks to the waitress. Our flowerpot bread came out nice and warm, but not fresh. I suspect it wasnt baked that day due to the moisture content and how it didnt pull like fresh bread does. I ordered the Boar Gnocchi, while my wife ordered a Mushroom Pizza. Her Pizza tasted good but was soggy in the very middle. My Gnocchi looked amazing until I turned the Gnocchi around. Half of my pastas were burnt, black, only on the bottom. I tasted one just to see if it was supposed to be like that but it was bitter. I was upset that it looked like they deliberately flipped over all the burnt ones. The manager came to our table after we sent the entre back apologizing for the over-done Gnocchi. She said that they were just toasted and that they would comp the meal that I didnt eat. I decided not to order another entre so that I wasnt stuck watching my wife eat while waiting for mine. We shared the pizza, finished our delicious wine got out of there. I was not impressed with this manager. Negative reviews are not my thing, Im just hoping this might help someone else picking a place to eat. Unfortunately, my wife and I will not be returning to this establishment. I hope they dont train their managers like this one at all the other restaurants they own in KW. Wait staff was on point, Manager not.
Came here for our anniversary dinner, and it did not disappoint!!! Marissa our server was lovely and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
The pizza was delicious
The feta bruschetta is a must! The service is fast and friendly!

They were able to accommodate us at a late request during a busy time of year. Food was tasty with decent portion sizes. They allowed my husband to customize his meal due to health restrictions. Definitely a place to visiit for date night, family time or any special occasion and it won t break the bank.
Fantastic food and service! Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu offered Food : 5/5 |
You can always cou t on a great meal and fantastic service when going to dels. We have never has a bad thing in the menu and when something isnt up to their standard, they go above and beyond.
We enjoyed new years eve dinner. The menu selections were fixed but choice was plentiful and the food was awesome and portions were quite large. Would highly recommended. Great bang for your buck. I particularly loved the ravioli
Always amazing, the quality is the best!
Nice, authentic Italian food with exceptional service, and especially great options for gluten-free and vegan diners in our group. Pasta and pizzas were both excellent.
I bought two pasta dishes yesterday, there was no flavour on both dishes and the pasta separated itself, which means the noodles were overcooked. The herbs on the one dish also looked and tasted very dry. I was not expecting both dishes from a restaurant such as this to be this poor.
Del s kitchen was referred by our friend to visit for authentic Italian cuisine. Outstanding interiors and decor for having a party. We had tomato Food : 5/5
Took a group of 10 people for my boyfriends birthday. Everything was perfect. The food, the service, I couldnt be happier with how it went.
Amazing food. 10/10 pizza review. top notch service, the waitresses were Great for our big group! See you again soon! Food : 5/5 |
We ordered BERRY MOJITO, RASP LEMONADE, BURRATA BOMBA, BRUSCHETTA, MARGHERITA with DIP PESTO and DIP BOMBA AIOLI, CREME BRULEE. So, starting with burrata bomba and bruschetta, we just loved it. It was best bruschetta we had. Even we ordered it again . The burrata bomba was just perfect spicy . Talking about drinks, it was good too! Now the dips, the pesto dip was brilliantly made. But the bomba aioli was not up to the mark. And lastly in dessert the creme brulee was cherry on the cake. About ambience, it was perfect for dinner dates! Also, thanks to YASMIN for serving us .
Amazing place for authentic Italian food Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian options. Food : 4/5 |
Very good italian restaurant for reasonable price. Wife is celiac, they were very knowledgeable and provided plenty of gluten free options Dietary restrictions: Had vegan and gluten free meal options
Delicious food, lovely ambience and amazing service by Angela. Vegetarian options: Pesto veggie is lovely Food : 5/5 |
I love this place! Every part of the meal from the drinks, to the complimentary bread, to the dessert was amazing! The service is also wonderful! I have been here a handful of times now and will keep coming back and have recommended Del s to a number of people.
Just ordered two pizzas the Pepperoni pizza which was salty dry, burned and very little cheese. The Vespa was okay but be warned that they use a lot of chili flakes. Also, we paid for two dipping sauces and we asked the hostess if they are inside the pizza boxes, and she said yes, but unfortunately they were not there.
Best Toffee Cake in town!
Went for my birthday dinner and I had the best time. The food is amazing and is a great value!
