Delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service! My partner and I have been meaning to try La Cucina for some time, and we finally got around to visiting. what drew us in was the woodfired pizza and oven (which is visible in the dining area and such a cool feature of the restaurant). The pizza was stunning. We got the bufalina and the meat lovers and each were exquisite. The quality of the ingredients truly stand out. The service was also lovely! Our server was super attentive without being overly involved and was kind enough to point out some menu suggestions. We will definitely be back! (next time to try the pasta ;) )
What a great place, pasta was fresh and full of flavour, next time I will try the pizza. Staff was friendly, and the service was great. For the first time being here, I do recommend it. I had the penne a la vodka. My coworker had the stuffed crust pizza, and she loved it.
Cucina is a gem! The pizza was perfectly baked with authentic flavors that made me feel like I was back in Italy. The tiramisu was light and flavorful, just the right sweetness. And the Aperol Spritz? Absolutely refreshing! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was attentive. Can't wait to return!
Came at this place for the first time as one of our friends recommended. I must say that if you want to get the best italian food experience, than this is the place. We ordered pizza and pasta, recommended by chef, both were delicious. And Oh my goshhh, the tiramisu was simply amazingggg, gonna visit soon just for the tiramisu🤤🤤🤤
The food was absolutely divine! The service was amazing as well! I left my favorite leather jacket on the back of the chair, and another server ran out and brought it to me before my girlfriend and I jumped into an Uber! I was so grateful and thankful for him doing that! Thank you again, my friend! Highly recommend this gem of a spot! Will definitely be coming back! Cheers!
Everything here was amazing! Francesca was a great server and the food was excellent. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back again!
Was in Italy 2 months ago. This restaurant brought every memory back. The food is authentic Italian. Our waitress lived in Italy a few years ago, and was so helpful and attentive. My husband ordered seafood pasta, but asked if the pasta could be made with olive oil/ garlic instead of tomato sauce. They were very accommodating. Food was delicious. We chose to eat outside, (sidewalk patio near street) which was bad choice at that time. There was a car show and we experienced car exhaust and sounds of loud engines.
One of my favorite places in Kitchener. Their food is so delicious and fresh, especially their margarita pizza with thin crust and caprese salad. Staff are very friendly. Also, they have good choices of authentic cocktails.
Food was fine. Our server Franscesca was wonderful...but I think they are advertising a nice dine in restaurant but actually wanting to be fast food. There were four of us, and they kept trying to push us to the bar to finish so they could seat other people. We made reservations in advance, and they put take out containers on the table before we finished and asked us to go stand at the bar to finish our drink (they didnt even allow us to order another)... we werent even there 45 minutes. Will not be recommending...in fact, would steer people away. Especially, if you are wanting to enjoy your meal. Our server deserves better...she never pushed us away.
All was Excellent! Highly recommend! I will definitely return.
I went on a Thursday night and it was packed with people which made for a great atmosphere. I went with a group of people and unfortunately there was a situation with one of the people of my group, the crew and manager handled it very professionally and were super helpful through an uncomfortable situation (that was unfortunately caused by one member of my group), I hate that I cannot remember my servers name because he was amazing about the situation and from the beginning he made some jokes and ensured we had a great time. I had the 4 cheese Gnocchi and I must say it was delicious. Would highly recommend trying La cucina not just for the food but for the atmosphere and the delicious drinks. Thank you very much.
Really good food. You cannot go wrong with pizzas!!
Amazing service
We have been here quite a few times as a family. The food is always fresh and delicious. If youre craving Italian food, I highly recommend this place.
What a great Italian restaurant! Wood fired pizzas are awesome! Service is spot on and the ambiance is so nice. Tip of the day is order your pizza near well-done but not burnt!
Food was very plain and not tasty, as well as found a bug (cockroach) . We addressed this issue by bringing it up to the manager. They thought we were joking around and trying to dismiss us, and making it sound like the size of the bug was not a big deal. I will not be coming back, I hope they clean this restaurant VERY WELL! I would rate this restaurant a 0!!
They sent wrong order called them. They said we already sent you the right order and we cannot do anything for you. Will be the last time zero star if I can do for you.
Google says open till 11pm but they close the kitchen at 9:30. Then what s the point.
Good enough gyood. Terribly understaffed. The staff are depressed and rude. While the food was delicious, the staff look soulless. Dont support restaurants run like this.
Loved it I might move to kitchener because of that place and area
A real Italian restaurant in Kitchener. Delicious home-made pizzas. My margarita pizza with extra prosciutto was wonderful. They also have an amazing wine list. Great choice of premium Italian wines. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Kids friendly. Parking: Street parking. Free in the evening. Hard to find a spot.
Parking: Received complimentary desert for special occasion. Food
Fantastic pizza and service. Must go!
My companions pizzas were good and I enjoyed the spicy pasta al Pomodoro with gnocchi. The atmosphere precludes quiet conversation. Note there is a steep flight of stairs to the washrooms. Wheelchair accessibility: Im not sure whether theres a washroom on the main floor. The usual washrooms are at the top of a flight of stairs.
I tried the tiramisu and it was outstanding
Excellent experience all around! Service was super quick and the food delicious!
Excellent service our waiter was amazing. Food was good.
Amazing Italian food! The pizzas are incredible - we had the Rustica and The Mayor. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is great!
The food and service are genuinely excellent. Parking: Make a reservation for weekend dining. Food : 5/5 |
Being if Italian ancestry and just returned from a month in Italy, I must say the experience was authentic. Great food and service, competitive price.
Good food, attention and atmosphere
Nice place, pizza was to soggy , too much olive oil and pesto. I would try the pasta next time.
we had the pizza with salad ad drinks. Great food and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend it.
Terrible experience. Pizza is watery, no any flavors from pasta.
Everything here is overpriced, and the quality is seriously lacking. The pizza was incredibly soggy, almost like drinking soup, and the pasta sauce was watery and flavorless. The wood-fired oven looked fake, likely gas-powered with a few pieces of wood for decoration. The service was equally disappointing, likely because they were clearly understaffed. Despite being a group of six, they only brought four napkins when we asked, and water took an unusually long time to arrive. To top it all off, there was even a fly buzzing around. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money.
Great food and atmosphere
Seemed nice, but options very limited as they found a strange ways to stick pork in almost 90% of the items on the menu. Couldnt even get a pizza with beef, they simply dont have it. Odd. Dietary restrictions: Too much pork on menu,
Most authentic Italian food in town. Love thw food!! Prices are very good as well.
Great customer service experience and food was very good.
The service was up to the mark as one would expect from any nice Italian place. We ordered pizza and pasta..both were great in taste. Fresh pesto and olive oil on pizza made it taste delicious. The pastas were also nice. The only part to complain about was the portion of pasta. It cost somewhere around 25 and the portion didnt justify the price IMO. Our server suggested a red wine from Australia, Shiraz..That was great as well. I loved it. Last but not the least. We reluctantly ordered a tiramisu cake. And oh my god, I would never miss it when I visit the place again. Or was unexplainably delicious Thank you!
Recommend making a reservation. Good food and service. Parking: Street parking is difficult to find.Parking lots on Water street are the closest. Food : 3/5 |
The homemade pasta with seafood was excellent, and I was very pleased with the glass of Pecorino wine. The place looks nice but the big screens showing sport matches ruined a bit of the atmosphere.
Even though we didnt have a reservation, they tried to organize a table for us. The food was really excellent!
I ordered vegetarian pizza. I want to experience the pizza from an Italian restaurant and this was amazing. Fast service and good food. Pizza was melting in the mouth.
Would give more stars if I could! Come with an appetite. They make everything fresh in house
I had a real pizza after 3 years of being in Canada. Taste exactly how it should taste. Cocktails are yummy and generously filled. I felt tipsy after drinking 1/3 of my drink.
The best place to go to in any occasion lovely hosts and amazing food.
La Cucina is definitely a gem! Great pizza and great staff! I will be back here again next time Im in Kitchener!
I had an amazing dining experience at La Cucina, where the sauce reminded me of the flavors from my childhood, just like the one my grandmother (Nuna) used to make. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional service, especially from Drea, the manager, who made sure everything was perfect. Her attentiveness and care really added a personal touch to our meal, making it even more memorable. I highly recommend La Cucina for anyone looking for authentic, comforting flavors and top-notch service!
Food was amazing and our host kevin was the best!!!
Very knowledgeable server.Amazing food! Cant wait to come again!
Absolutely love this place. The food is authentic with quality ingredients. Their homemade dip is so good on the pizza! The mayor RULES
First time there with friends. Service was ok at best . Good was great. Avoid getting Neil at your servers. He prefers to yap with his friends then take an order. He yap for 15 minutes with his friends before he decided to take our order. We finally got his attention. . Then when it came time to pay he gave us the bill then Walked away he never returned with the debit machine. We had to call another girl over so we could pay. Neil pay attention to your guests. I tipped him 5$. He should had got nothing.
Food was delicious! We had pastas and pizzas. We celebrated a birthday, new job, and graduate school among us. Was great to meet Neil - the manager. Brilliant desserts too.
Their woodfired Margerita pizza, Tiramisu and House Red wine is really delicious.
Amazing quality of dishes, great selection of pizzas and pasta, service was great!
Sometimes less is more Ordered the Capriciosa Pizza, for delivery. Came on time. Had to be reheated -- came tepid temp. Crust was very soggy because there,, were so many heavy toppings So texture was unpleasant though you could see,the crust had started out good quality All toppings were good quality but the result was a,soggy mess. Not what we were hoping for Still looking for pizza,,in kw May be better on-site but not delivery
Unfortunately the pizza was just warm and soggy. Cant see going back.
I had a simple question about their menu and emailed them to ask. After 4 days of not responding I called and left a message on there voicemail which said they would call back. Never heard back! Clearly not serious about customer service. Why put an email address on your website if your not going to respond?
Amazing food, but for service we received was not even bare minimum. Saw our waitress a couple times in 2 hours, waited 20ish minutes for drinks.. and over 40 minutes for food but saw people sit and eat, after us and pay to leave .. all before we even got our food. Not a great birthday dinner spent here. Overheard the chef say if the food is taking too long, they can go somewhere else . So take that as you will.
Great place!
My family and I came to La Cucina today and had such a wonderful experience. Our server Maylena was great! She was super attentive, quick and gave great recommendations! We had the Osso Bucco, Chicken Parm and a Capriciossa Pizza. Everything was super delicious! We sat on the patio and it was beautiful! We will definitely be coming back, thank you Maylena :)
The food at La Cucina is always outstanding. Its our favourite restaurant in Kitchener and never disappoints. (My wife and I highly recommend the Ravioli Al Tartufo BTW). What really made this night so special was the service. Our son loves pasta and usually has the Pasta Al Pomodoro (with Tagliatelle) but on this occasion he wanted fries and only fries. Our server Neil handled the situation without missing a beat and suggested we get fries from another nearby restaurant. Clearly this is not a new situation for him and he completely understood as a parent himself. I was headed over to order the fries, but before I knew it HE HAD ALREADY ORDERED THEM FOR US. Not only that, it was not on the bill. This kind of thoughtfulness made the rest of our evening wonderful and not chaos with a 4 year old who was wanting fries. The fries came before our meal and our son was ecstatic. Thank you Neil and La Cucina for a great dining experience. Well be back and telling our friends to do the same!
For the price, it was mid
Went in yesterday and got the gnocchi. 10/10. Side of bread. Couple bevs. Francesca was my server and she was incredible. Will be back, and hopefully shell be working again. Amazing food, exceptional service, and I think it was fairly priced.
La Cucina is a secret amazing place in kw. Great food, great service, great community.
I ve been asking to add quatro formaggi pizza on uber eats for months!! Every time I have to order it manually because of that! Food is good though.
Have been a few times, food is always great. However, their kitchen logistics are not the best. My pizza arrived after everyone else was done eating. I am glad I insisted they didnt have to wait for me, otherwise their food would be ice cold.
We went to dinner at LaCucina in Kitchener and didnt have the best experience. Weve been a number of times before and the service had been great and the pizza delicious, however, this time our Server was not very engaged in our table, there were 3 of us, one person arrived later and it was about 15 minutes before she came over to greet them and ask what they wanted to drink. Someone else delivered our food and we were pretty much done before our server checked in on our meals. We 3 ordered our usual favorite pizzas and this time all 3 were extremely greasy. To the point we all thought that they were drizzled with olive oil after baking. We didnt enjoy this and didnt say anything to our unattentive server as we were pretty much done. The pizza in the past was never like this and didnt drip in oil. We walked away from our evening out not enjoying it as much as we had in the past. Feeling disappointed.
One of the best places to try authentic Italian food.
Some good authentic Italian at reasonable prices Parking: Street parking or park behind LCBO Food : 4/5 |
The environment and people are amazing here. Michael is one of the best servers I ve ever encountered. He makes you feel like you re in your Nonna s kitchen. The kind the kindness and warmth that he provides you sitting in the restaurant is amazing. I highly request this restaurant. Food is 10/10. Staff 1000/10.
The only thing good about this place is the big pizza oven. Unfortunately the food was not very good at all and the the service was absolutely horrible. The waitress spent more time in the kitchen eating then helping her table. The mayor pizza was sopping wet, like wet dough not even the crust had a crisp. The FINI FINI ALLA PESCATORA omg the shrimp smelled fishy(we asked for it to be only shrimp so no other seafood was involved)?? The other 2 dishes were just ok. Not even an offer of Pepper/Cheese when served just flopped on the table. Such a waste, Kitchener has much better places to eat other then this place. Please do not waste your time and effort here.
Authentic Italian restaurant with amazing Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood burning oven, topped with fresh, tasty cheeses, veggies and meats. Im personally a fan of European pizzas where theres a good balance between the crust and the toppings, and the pies themselves are light, soft and crunchy at the same time and even when you finish it you dont feel stuffed, leaving space for some tasty desserts they offer like cannelloni, tiramisu, gelato, coffee cake or creme brulee. If youre a late night coffee drinker you can order an espresso until closing. I love this place and recommend you visit for a small slice of Italy smack in the middle of Kitchener!
Liam was a fantastic server! Had such a wonderful personality and gave excellent service. The food was great. I got the mushroom linguine it was so delicious!! The pizza was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back
Have had better Italian food at an Irish restaurant. Service was ok
Love the pizza and traditional itallian cooking. Have been many times and have never been disappointed.
The food was excellent but I found it somewhat too loud in the restaurant to hear everything
Pizza and pasta are amazing, service is always good too!
Amazing food, authentic Italian food the Pizza is something I ll definitely come back for! Vegetarian options: They have Vegetarian pizzas and pastas
Why always so slow & ALWAYS understaffing?? Been here multiple times Food
Everything I ordered was delicious. The sangria was fruity, the burrata was fresh and the ravioli was flavourful. But the real star of the show was the dessert platter. Im pretty picky (Im a pastry chef) and I was pleasantly surprised by all 4. I had no complaints and would gladly return.
Server swindled us with our water orders - served us bottles of water and charged us 6 dollars a piece for water (and we had 3!). We later saw her serve the tables next to us water for free. Guess that we forgot to say tap water when we ordered. Server did not smile, nor made us feel welcome. She also ignored the fact that when the reservation was made, we made it clear that a birthday was to be celebrated. Food was mediocre at best, and was not served all at once. Pizza arrived first, entrees five minutes later, and greasy potatoes (part of the entree dishes) came 10 minutes later, when we were almost all done. I have never before taken the time to leave a restaurant review online. I don t mind spending a bit more money for quality service/food, but there were just too many missteps here. Save your money and go to a chain restaurant for the same no, better .. experience.
We dine in to try their 4.5 star italian cuisine, no doubt the food is great. Served to us piping hot and didn t disappoint us. But I can t give any stars for their service. Servers are very slow, we ordered Caesar salad but didn t get it at until we billed out. It means that the servers has no idea that we didn t get it. She even repeated our order. There are 3 servers but no one came back to check on us. One server in particular made eye contact and saw us waving at her and didn t come to check on us. Even when we requested the bill, they even forgot about it and we had to follow up on them (there are not a lot of customers btw) If you re an asian you will feel a little racism here, not only for our table but there s another asian couple that they also didn t pay attention to. Or maybe we just expected too much based on what we read on google review.
First time eating at this place because of the reviews. Food was great! Can t say the same for the service though One of our orders was not served. We had a hard time getting the servers attention, even though one of them already made eye contact to us, she didn t come to our table. When we asked for our bill, they forgot about it and we had to remind them after 10mins or so.
I will not pretend like I went to this restaurant knowing that it was what it was and for fear of sounding culturally insensitive I will not go into the story of what I originally thought this place was... On to the review of the food, Press for time I had that this was going to be something that it was not and I thought Id be able to run in grab food and then go and grab my train but it ended up being a sit-down restaurant which was embarrassing for me I did not look up any reviews I simply was walking down the street and found this place. So I did not know that they had pizza and all these fancy Italian meals. The pricing was very good when I ended up grabbing was a order of bruschetta which was amazing it was very simple very crunchy and I would recommend ordering it and letting it just like sits for a minute and let it soak in the juices from the bruschetta mix cuz then you got a nice like soft sweet chewy bread with crunchy edges. As for the atmosphere of the place I found it extremely pleasant and calming the service was very quick and nice. Vegetarian options: If you read the review then you know.
Their pizzas are the best
La Cucina is practiced in serving up great Italian salads, pasta, pizzas, and entrees. This visit was no exception. Our lunch specials hit the spot. The service was friendly and competent. We waited a bit long for our bill but this was a minor issue. La Cucina remains an eatery very much worth your attention.
A nice spot for a good hearty meal in downtown Kitchener. The pizzas are incredible but this day we went for the pastas. We started with some burrata which was creamy and delightful with the crostini, and bocconcini di pizza which were the perfect bite sized pizza rolls. For our entrees we had the rigatoni bolognese and the ravioli al tartufo. While the rigatoni was pretty good, it was the ravioli and truly blew me away. The pasta was perfectly cooked and that truffle sauce was absolute heaven!! We finished off the meal with a torta al cioccolato which was decadent without being overwhelming. Overall the meal hit the spot and was another wonderful experience at La Cucina.
Great food with an authentic Italian taste
The food here is excellent and very reasonably priced. A large stone pizza oven visable from the dining area tops off the fantastic atmosphere. Parking is not an issue with a large lot just across the street and the ION lrt stopping two blocks away. Great for families or a night out with friends.
Weve seen that the place is almost always full. So we reserved our seats before going. The staff are very friendly, and the food was really really good. We ordered Penne alla vodka- which was really good, but please remember to ask for some grated cheese on top. The parma pizza was mind blowing, and we finished it right away. Pizzas are a must-try item from here. Tried Al pollo pizza- with grilled chicken. Was tasty, but we liked the other pizza better. We also ordered red wine sangrias - really tasty !!!!! Tiramisu was really well balanced, not too sweet, but really really tasty. We are definitely going back here again for the pizzas and tiramisu for sure !
La Cucina is always our go to restaurant! You are always treated like family and they always serve the best food!
I Had a wonderful experience with my Friends, the server was very nice. The Food was delicious especially the homemade pasta it was delicious and you could taste the freshness. It was my Friends Birthday so they gave her a slice of cake with a candle. My friend offered me some since she was full, It was delicious too, it is some of the best tasting cakes I ever had.
Bruno & his staff are amazing!! Best authentic Italian food in Waterloo. Fast service and great location with large patio and many TV s for sport fans. Will definitely be returning.
Certainly pizza is great, and service was good. The siting is quite tight and not very comfortable. Menu was little hard to navigate and understand, less options to customize. Food : 5/5
Always our go-to spot for Italian.
This is bona fide Italian quisine (at least, at lot closer to that level than most Italian restaurants in town). Truffle ravioli was just delicious with perfectly cooked pasta and an interesting and flavourful sauce. The sea bass special was tasty but the clams were too tiny to be appreciated. Desserts were nice too with the lemon sorbet really special, served in a deep frozen hollowed out lemon skin.
I went with a friend from Korea. I was satisfied as the food was flavorful and not salty.
Had the Osso buco, and it was absolutely fantastic
It was yummy, I had the lunch special of a small Cesar salad and a small portion of gnochi. The tomato sauce was kinda boring saddly. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options Parking: Its downtown kitchener so it was hard to find a place to park
I never leave reviews but this place was the best Italian food I ve had in KW! Food was amazing and service was exceptional. Our server was so sweet and accommodating. Recommend getting the rustico pizza and penne vodka pasta! Will definitely come back soon!
I do not recommend this establishment. Service was ok, but food was not true quality Italian and was overpriced.
I loved the restaurant.
We stopped here for dinner on a whim as we were walking by. There is a smiley odor from the oven inside the restaurant but it is pleasant and not overpowering. We ordered each a wood fired pizza each and we loved loved it. Good crust, very fresh tasting toppings.
Theres a lot better Italian food, it s okay at best. The service was mediocre I found the waitress to be quite uninterested in us. The vibe is quite nice inside for a date night
Good spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli and mussels. Nice server, very friendly and attentive
Waitress was working most of the restaurant as far as we could see . But with that said, she really did her best
Fantastic spot for Italian Cruisine. The Neopolitan sytle pizza is fantastic which I always tend to order when we eat here. Staff is super friendly and menu is great providing lots of options.
Vegetarian options: Good veg options in pizza and pasta Food
Nice Italian restaurant, ordered the calzone, margarita pizza, and fettuccine Alfredo
We ordered margarita pizza, pizza napoletana and bruschetta. The taste was okaish not that great but the service was good. The ambiance is also good. Vegetarian options: You can find few vegetarian pizza but the pasta contains eggs.
We had such professional service and the food was so fresh and delicious. I recommend the beef braised ravioli with truffles and mushrooms. Such a well balanced and flavourful dish. Also the pizzas are amazing. When I miss Italy this is as close as it gets. It s a meal that soothed my soul. Vegetarian options: Lots of meatless dishes.
not many vegetarian options for pastas, but we modified the vodka pasta to be veggie friendly and it was yummy! pizza had some burnt spots but the buffalo mozzarella made up for it. good portion sizes for two
ive been going here once in a while for a few years, they have the best pizza ive had in KW. fresh pasta was also delicious. decent portion sizes, and friendly service. decent vegetarian options as well.
Great food fun times
Went for dinner with a group of 7. The host was incredibly accommodating as we needed to increase our numbers. Our waiter was amazing (sad I did not get his name). He made excellent recommendations and took our orders without writing anything down. Food was delicious. Added bonus that Thursdays are half price bottles of wine. We will be back for sure.
Best italian restaurant in kw if not in all Ontario, the food is authentic, the service is fast and frendly. A perfect spot for a casual dinner or for a date night. Highly recommend if you want to try real italian flavours. Food : 5/5
Great pizza. Highly recommend!
Careful attention to detail and a good selection of Italian food. If you are looking for a great dining experience in a non-chain restaurant, then go here! Great gluten free pasta and the special of the evening was delightful. Leave room for dessert.
Excellent restaurant, good food, reasonable pricing. Martinelli Italian beer was indeed good
I have love this place!!!
BEST tiramisu
Delicious pasta and friendly service!
The pizza was good but small, soup was good
Read the reviews raving about this place while we were in Kitchener and looking for a place for an upscale meal. I had the veal Parmigiano which was great. The sauce was thick and rich and the pasta cooked just right. Our 2nd meal was the Pollo pizza. It was very tasty although the crust was extremely thin which made it difficult to eat without everything falling off.
Wonderful staff, food was so good and fresh, the only thing I can say was bad was the service was a little slow but they were pretty busy. So for now 4 outta 5 for me. Would so go again!
We really love service here and pizza is definitely the best in Kitchener. Mozzarella is amazing Sophia & Dusan Food
Great reatro. Never disappointed in my meal, Ive also ordered take out and been happy. Great food and cocktails.
Outstanding pizza and service.
Decent place with tasty dishes. All in all I will try again. Had lasagna which I would say not bad. Also had chicken parm, it was better then the lasagna. Willing to try the pizza next vist as it looks amazing
Service and food was wonderful! Vegetarian options: Gnocchi with pomodoro sauce and I added mushrooms. For appetizer I had garden salad
Their pizzas are great! The atmosphere is also really nice, and very good for bigger groups
Everything was awesome from the smallest details of the music to the ambience but the food and service were outstanding. I had the beef ravioli and he had pizza turned into a calzone. That left enough outside crust for me to dip into my leftover truffle sauce and olive oil and pepper. It doesnt matter if you have room or not take some food home but order dessert. Aya was a doll and so lovely.
This is where my team at work goes to celebrate our wins. Great food, really great service, and special.
I highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure you reserve ahead as it has limited seating.
As usual, the food was delicious.
I ordered the Osso Buco and appetizer meatballs from Uber Eats and neither disappointed! Tender and tasty on a bed of delicious risotto, the veal was superb. The meatballs, in their tangy sauce, were flavourful and so good! Although I have never visited their establishment, every single time i have ordered from here, they have been consistently stellar!
Our recent visit was marred by a significant delay of 30 minutes past our reservation time, compounded by an unwelcoming attitude from the reception staff. If youre planning to eat here and have a reservation, brace yourself for random wait times and dont expect a warm welcome!
Very nice place. Really nice and friendly service. The food is very good too. We had the ravioli and some pizzas. Amazing food. Dessert was good too, except for the cannoli. We had the dessert platter.
Food was absolutely awesome, and service to match. Beers taps I give a 6 out of 10 lots of Italian choices a couple craft. More likely cal beers a couple IPA choices would appeal to me more. Love dinning here!!
Transported me to Italy. Excellent food. I had the penne a la vodka. Absolutely divine. Expansive beverage list and the menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere is amazing to boot. 10/10 would dine again. Oh and the tiramisu was the best damn dessert Ive ever had.
Yummy! Both their fresh pasta & pizza menu items are scrumptious! Try to share a dessert, if you have room bc youll love that too.
The wood-oven pizza here is great, cozy atmosphere and there is a patio in the warmer months.
The service was slow and food was too salty for us. Lower than our expectation based on price
I went there for pizza which was recommended as very good by a few people I talked with. Pizza wasnt amazing but was good. At the level of the one you get at Industria pizzeria. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 for 2 reasons : First, the seating was not very comfortable. We had a table for three. It was the type you see in a sports bar, square, high, small for 3 persons(and it should accommodate 4!) and the seats were really hard, from wood and no cushions. I noticed even the 6 persons tables(with couches to sit) were very cramped. Second reason was that the pizza my wife ordered was supposed to be with black olives(as per menu description) but instead was with purple ones, which are not as dry as the black ones and therefore pizza was kinda soggy underneath them. All in all was a good experience, if you are in the area you should go, but I will not drive again from Hamilton to visit.
Shared dinner with friends Saturday evening. The place to go for authentic Italian cuisine and hospitality supreme! Make a reservation and enjoy! Thanks to Neil for outstanding service and welcoming! Parked in Halls Lane parking lot no problem. Saluti to all at La Cucina!
Delicious food and wonderful service No hurry The staff is awesome and so friendly Food : 5/5
We love this place... the pizza is very good!!!
Incredible italian pizza in Kitchener. Wow.
Great atmosphere, great drinks, good service! Make sure to have the pizza !
Great dinner with friends before a show at The Centre in the Square. The bruschetta and pizza bites were outstanding Food : 5/5
Always delicious!
Not my first visit. This time, I attended with a large group, approximately 30 bodies. There should have been 45 but tonight was 2023s first decent snowfall so there were many cancellations. The place is open, warm, high ceilings and the pizza oven is a lovely visual focus. The lights were low but it looked very clean, from what i could see. Staff is generally young, pretty, friendly and efficient. The Afrikaner major domo was excellent, friendly, and fun to chat with. The food was excellent. Tuesdays special is pizza, but i went with a ravioli dish and was so happy i did. I followed that up with tiramisu and cheesecake (got my carbs in until mid-2024) and tea. Awesome all! Ill happily return. Parking: Parking is a little light, but i guess thats too be expected, given the location. On my second circle around the block i scored a spot across the street.
Caesar salad and gnocchi were delicious! Service was on point.
The Tri City Food Ninjas had our monthly dinner at La Cucina last night and couldn t be happier. Our waiter had service skills that I feel are definitely top notch. You can tell he s been through everything in the restaurant industry and knows how to handle people in a large group. The food was excellent. It was their pizza night. You can get any of their pizzas for $16 on Tuesdays and OH MAN that crust! I can t say that I would typically be so excited about the texture of a pizza crust but simply put.. it was so fun to eat! The ingredients were so fresh. The pizza was still great many hours later when I was able to finish it. Would definitely recommend Parking: There aren t many spots directly outside the restaurant. However, there is a pay parking area directly across the road that is free after 5 pm with plenty of parking. Don t let the location alarm you. There is definitely parking close!
Always good. `
As always, food was amazing, prices are fair, service was incredible. Our Italian server was wonderful, she made the night! Vegetarian options: Excellent choices !
Fast delicious authentic Italian was a great experience with my little man who devowered his pizza and was very thankful for the dough he was able to play with while we waited So so good! Best tiramisu ever
My wife and I and daughter had gone there tonight for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The service was awful. It was terribly slow and our waitress couldnt even fill up our water jug which sat empty for the entire dinner. The waitress herself was very miserable which made it uncomfortable to stay. Will never go back.
We were seated at the bar since the tables for 2 were taken around 8pm on a Friday night. We ordered the $26 fettucine ai porcini and $19 diavolini calabrese, as well as an $11 aperol spritz. The fettucine had a nice texture and came with lots of mushrooms. The pizza was the highlight because it was delicious and had a great crust. It was a good experience all around, and I would go again to try the other pizzas!
Unacceptable service
I recomend the meat stone pizza
Best pizza in KW!
Good food but very dirty. Trash on the floors, dirty tables, dust on the shelves. Shame, because the food is really good.
Went to restaurant during Christkindl Market. Every table full but had room at bar. Great staff. Friendly, hard working, and fun. Soup was tasty, and pasta was amazing. Highly recommend but on busy nights have a reservation.
If I could give this place a zero I would . I went here with my family not only slow , bland and extremely expensive for what it was , after our meal my husband went for a cigarette and on his way back into the establishment to our table we been at for hours he got harassed and degraded as if he was a homeless person coming off the street . not only was it embarrassing but extremely offensive after spending so much money here and being very patient with the slow staff( it was dead the day we came) and watching the rest all stand and do nothing but mock everything , after that experience we never even got an apology from I assume the manger who did the offence our waitress apologized for him he stood and laughed I would never recommend this place just that alone made it so bad .
Got take out . Food was okay ... was enjoying my salad until I found this giant dead bug in it... which I can only assume is a dragonfly ??? Could not finish the rest of the meal after this and wanted to puke . Food
Good restaurant in the Kitchener downtown core. Pizza could be baked more. I found the center a bit soggy, but in ingredients were all tasty and fresh
