The Curry Chicken roti is so delicious and satisfying. It’s comfort food that leaves you warm long after your plate is done. House made ginger beer is both medicinal and yummy.
I decided to try the curry goat on Uber eats when the food arrived the meat was dry the bag was basically opened so the driver can potentially tampered with the food. No good presentation and no good service. I will never buy again!
I didn't realize it was in a market the 1st time i went so parking could be an issue. Food was thoughtfully made. Not high quality meats but what can ya do in with food prices these days! Friendly and efficient staff! Thanks for your response! I have been back I like to share about the parking and access when I can! I love to hear about the care you put in; I think everyone does. ❤️
The Pattie’s are amazing! Honestly not a fan of their jerk chicken but their oxtail is delicious but I wish they were more generous with the portions! Definitely worth a visit and the best Jamaican food I’ve had in Kitchener while I’ve been here two years.
The meats are very well seasoned, cooked well and delicious! The roti was soft and curry flavour was great, oxtail on point..yum, jerk chicken had nice flavour too. I once ordered the ackee and saltfish but there was lots of oil. Happy to say when I reached out to the owner, she was very nice and responsive. She told me to come back and they will give me a replacement. I haven't gone back yet because I'm rarely ever downtown Kitchener but I'll definitely give them a visit soon. Thanks for bringing delicious Jamaican eats to KW!
So delicious, a highly recommended. The staff were so so helpful in guiding me towards what to try. The curry was salty and delicious, and the roti was cooked fresh upon ordering. Mm mm mmm
I am vegetarian so I ordered curry chickpeas wrapped with roti. It was decent. I finished my meal. Very friendly servers. My friend had an oxtail and curry goat combo with rice and peas. They enjoyed it.
Ordered this off UberEats. Whilst the food is not bad. The price is a blatant and unbelievable ripoff. For what I paid what I got in turn (quantity wise) was unacceptable. I wished I did not order from this place and certainly would not order in the future.charging $19 and $17 for this makes zero sense. The oxtail were quite bony and 6 pieces. And for the quarter of a chicken $17 is quite unreasonable
Jerk pork dinner - big meal, tastes like nothing. Also, mostly fat. Soup also tastes like nothing. Cost way too much.
One of my favourites! The chicken curry roti is incredible!
Love the place.
Best place
Best Jamaican good in Town. Hands down. Like that its in a market place super cute
This place is good but very inconsistent with the amount of food given. I came here last week, and had the chickpea curry roti and it was the best in Kitchener. The curry was perfect, the roti was perfect and there was so much food I couldnt finish it in one sitting. Went there this Easter weekend with my Nana boasting about how good it was only for us to both be disappointed. The roti was so thick, dry and chewy. The curry had no spice to it. They didnt wrap it correctly and there was very little chickpea curry. Then the person, packed my order upside-down and side ways in a bag. It was a mess and definitely not worthy of its title for Best In Kitchener Sorry, guess this is a definite hit or miss when ordering. I prefer a bit more consistency when it comes to serving sizes, and flavor of food. Hope to see them improve the next time Im in town.
Dynamite Patties!
Great tasting food. Always friendly service.
The nicest people and the curry chicken roti is like a mini Caribbean vacation. Worth the wait as they can be busy on market days.
Curry chicken roti, hard potatoes & curry chicken had such an odd taste. No coleslaw or plantain either. Used to love getting food here but I ll pass now.
Very friendly and amazing Jamaican Pattie s! Highly recommend
The customer service was good, but the food was bad. I ordered snapper fish rice an peas. 1) some of the rice was hard 2) the fish was dry and flavourless 3) there was no gravy an the sweet peppers/vegetables were flavourless an hard still. Very disappointed. I would never go back. I don t think the chef is Jamaican at all if so shame on them.
Food is really amazing and made fresh every morning Service was really friendly Atmosphere is a vibe All in all definitely recommended to try out if you passing by or looking for some soul food
My wife described this as the best Caribbean food she has had since we moved to Canada 8 years ago, and the kids and I agree!!! Fantastic, tasty, and authentic Caribbean food.
The food always tastes great, very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended trying
One of the best places at the DTK market. Get the oxtail.
Delicious oxtail!
Been a long time since I ve been here & the food still tastes great! Jerk chicken roti is one of my favs
Delicious Patties! Affordable, friendly, quick and delicious, The Caribbean Kitchen is my absolute most favourite destination at the Kitchener Market. You should definitely stop by and pick up lunch anytime you re in the downtown area!
Fantastic experience here the two times I visited. My partner and I came to the Kitchener Market for the first time this year (were out of Guelph) and we came across this location in search of Jamaican patties! (Im Jamaican :D). The patties were awesome and tasted very fresh. The staff are very professional and pleasant. As a fellow Jamaican Ive had to deal with poor service from other Jamaicans because, quite frankly, customer service sometimes is not a Jamaicans very best strength. Ive often realized theres room for improvement there. BUT these guys have figured out good customer service, they are pleasant, and friendly. My partner and I have now become a repeat customers! Check them out next time you go to the Kitchener Market (by the way the Kitchener Market is awesome so go there!)
The food is very tasty! Great customer service!
It was my first time in kitchener and it was an experience like no other. The people was friendly and the food was great....big up grand ma
been trying every caribbean place in kw since I usually just buy a bunch when Im back in toronto, and this is the best one by far. Roti is incredible.
Excellent food! Great Jamaican food and warm, friendly staff. Happy i discovered this spot. Highly recommend.
Delish food and great customer service.
Best Caribbean cuisine within the Tri-City area. Five star quality foods and service. A wide variety of dishes to choose from. This is one way of experiencing different dishes from the Caribbean, without leaving the Tri-City area of KCW. Highly recommend!!!
Had the jerk chicken roti with a patty. Price was reasonable. the jerk chickens was freshly made, tasted very flavorful. I would go back and try other items.
One of my go to spots in the KW Area. The food is not only amazing but the customer service is on point. Always greeted with a warm welcome everytime. If you want authentic Jamaican cuisine, go here!! You wont be disappointed.
this place has the best oxtail I ve ever had! Anytime I m in the kw region for school I always gotta order from here! 10/10 you won t be disappointed, even after trying other Jamaican spots in the gta this one still takes the cake for me, it s quality and consistent every time !
I love the food here, it s always great And delicious! And Nikki (she runs the kitchen) makes the BEST RUM CAKE I ve ever had from any place! Definitely try it, you won t regret it. In fact, try everything they have, it s all beautifully cooked!
Great tasting Jamaican food conveniently located at Kitchener Market
Best curry chicken Roti in the Tri-Cities!
I got a catering order of jerk chicken and rice&beans for a birthday party. Both dishes were amazing as well as the extra sauces on the side! Many of the guests commented on how good it was, and I m sure glad we have leftovers! The portion sizes were generous and a fair price especially for the quality! Nicky was a pleasure to deal with super friendly and helpful when I was figuring out what and how much to order. Well done and thank you to everyone at The Caribbean Kitchen. We will definitely be back!
Ive been going to this place at the Kitchener Farmers Market for years and years now and the food is always consistently so tasty! Its one of my go-to comfort food spots - with the ackee breakfast and rotis being my favourites. The patties are also good and oh that rum cake...rich and delicious! Essie, Miss Elaine, Nikki, and others at The Caribbean Kitchen help make KW a community. It makes me happy to see Essies big warm smile and I feel valued by all of them as a customer and person.
The food is excellent. Full of flavour. Try the Dhall Soup and the roti. The service is outstanding. This is one of my favourite restaurants in KW.
Where do I begin,I have been eating there for years! From theyre amazing service , to there amazing akee, currie chicken is to die for! The goat curry gets me everytime so delicious and so tender! Oh and dont get me started with the worlds most famous and delicious roti wraps (Must try at market food court. Happy, warm and loving environment! God bless Carribean kitchen and may God keep them safe from all harms!
Proper way
Hidden gem in downtown Kitchener (farmers market food court). The rotis and curry chicken plate are incredible. Would suggest this place to anyone looking for fresh food at a reasonable price.
Amazing food
Great quality food at a great price, quick, and convenient! I stopped into the International Food Court at the Kitchener Market and had the pleasure of eating lunch at the Caribbean Kitchen Ltd. It was amazing! I had the jerk chicken roti and it was the perfect blend of spicy/sweet and jam packed with chicken and vegetables. It was very filling and served within minutes. The staff are also lovely people willing to take a few minutes to explain differences of their menu items. Its no wonder that by the time I left, the Caribbean Kitchen had the biggest line of any vendor in the market. I highly recommend this as a lunch spot if you find yourself in Downtown Kitchener.
Delicious breakfast!
Food is good. Prices are fair. This rating is solely for their jerk chicken plate. I understand their jerk chicken seasoning isnt infused into the chicken when cooked. They put the sauce on top of the chicken when its served, which isnt a big deal. The rice is delicious, especially when mixed in with the chicken and coleslaw. Make sure you get a Carribean drink to go along with your meal! I got Ting, love it! It is located in a farmers market food area. Would stop by again to try their other food options.
Amazing!! The curried chicken roti is my favourite. Just delicious. Great customer service as well!
Food is cooked and served with love!
The Chicken Jerk roti is huge, delicious, and spicy; the medium heat level is perfect for a person who likes hot dishes. Carrot cake is nutty, moist, and not too sweet.
The food at this place is SO good. A must have in the area. Such good quality and the flavours are to die for.
Great food , great people
Literally just finished eating my doubles from here. It was delicious. Its rare you find restaurant food that is the same flavour and quality of home cooking. This place was soooo flavourful and amazing
Tried the ackee and saltfish in a roti, highly recommended if you like seafood! The roti was fresh and delicious. Also had the best Jamaican patties. Great customer service as well, and very accommodating. First time trying this but I will definitely be back!
The jerk chicken roti wap and the potato pancakes were great! Their hot sauce is also really tasty if you want some extra kick!
came here as a kid all the time, they really do appreciate their customers. haha its time I come here again, its been awhile!
Dont even think about going anywhere else!!! Try the oxtail and you wont be disapointed, just watch out for the bones. The food is absolutely delicious and flavorful. I would hands down recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Jamaican flavours and taste.
