I just bought a regular chicken shawarma and I could not finish it. Dark, chewy chicken with overpowering garlic sauce, no balance. Very expensive for amount of food. Will not be stopping in again.

Amazing shawarma you won t be disappointed

This place is another shawarma place in the area that used to be absolutely amazing and within the past number of months has been declining. Not sure if they changed owners or what but the hot sauce is not consistent anymore and isnt always the same original hot sauce I became used to having. They seem to have removed beef shawarma from the menu which is a massive disappointment as chicken shawarma is way overdone by these places and its nice to have a variety. They should have removed the kebab from the menu but they kept that and removed the beef shawarma which I dont understand. The amount of veggies they give in wraps is pitiful now. The quality just isnt the same. I used to come here every other week and have recently been coming every few months only when I have a craving because of the decline in quality, quantity and then raising the prices. I understand the increase but then I expect the quality and quantity of the food to remain the same or better and neither have occurred. All that being said the people who work there are so kind and considering how busy it can get and how small the location is they do quite a good job at keeping up with the demand.

Very disappointed with their negligence and attitude. I go here very often and today as I had to be at a doctor appointment by 3:30 I placed an order over the phone for 2 burgers and I was told 10 minutes. 15 minutes later I show up and it was 3:10, the guy made me pay but the order wasnt ready moreover he started making 5 minutes after I walked in. When I said Ill be late, no sorry no apologies instead the guy said my boss took the order not me. Seriously, for real. Anyways not going back here ever and Allah will answer them in sha Allah. They must be making good money and hence the attitude towards customers like me. I didnt yell or even expressed my anger . I just left the place. Sorry guys like I said Allah will answer.

Great Falafel wraps!

Really a take out place ... Service was decent and food was made as expected ... I liked it ... Did not get the fries as they looked frozen ... Would love to see fresh cut fries here ... More work for sure but takes these type of restaurants to next level. IMO Parking: Parking is free and close but lot is a bit tight and can seem busy.

Got food poisoning from this place last week. I had the chicken shawarma. Ive had it a few times there but this time I got diarreah like you wouldnt believe. Had to miss a day of work because of it. Took a couple days but feel better now.

I wanna start off by saying I rarely ever write reviews. I came here after fasting the whole day Becuase online the reviews were really good. I ordered some zayzaman platter which costed me a crazy 18$ it comes with a wrap that s cut into bite size pieces and some veggies and fries. The meat quality is not great and there was some weird after taste in the food. The fries were just so soggy I didn t even eat them and the few vegetables I got were fine. Overall 18 dollars FOR THAT is crazy. I have no clue what these people in this review section are smoking.

One of the best shawarma place Ive tried. This is not your regular chain shawarma place. This place is run by a family. Their hot sauce is home made. I recommend you to try their Saj bread.

First time ordering from this place based on good reviews. What a disappointment, we ordered platters but they kept us waiting as the wraps went first. Must have taken 40 minutes. The guy really doesn t know what he s doing. He had the order in front of him and he did it wrong! The condiments looked old and the turnips were not even pink. The portions of meat way smaller than all the other places I ve been. My conclusion is the reviews come from bots, friends or family. The lady in the cashier was very fast to take our money but the customer service is mediocre at best.

The worst Shawarma ever. Don t believe the good reviews. The service is terrible. Disorganized, the guy seems lost. The meat is poor. No garlic sauce bottles as seen on other reviews. Please do yourself a favour and leave. The prices are lower but not worth it. I wish I followed my gut and left. Lastly if you order a platter expect to wait and watch the wrap orders pass first. Not worth it.

Grabbed a shawarma wrap here with friends. Service was really friendly, restaurant was clean and food was fresh. I was eyeing a freshly made manaqeesh while I waited and the lady who made it offered and insisted we try :-) everything was delicious.

To start, incredibly friendly staff I cannot stress that enough. I ve never felt so welcomed in a restaurant before. I got the Zay Zaman specialty shawarma and it was amazing! This place knows how to treat their customers and make some of the best shawarma I ve had.

If you want a really good falafel wrap, this is THE SPOT!! I m really picky about my falafel but it s phenomenal here! I still have yet to try more from their menu, but considering how delicious their falafel is I can imagine how good everything else is! The staff were super friendly and quick! This shawarma salad was actually really good What I enjoyed the most was everything was home made in house from hummus to pickled turnip to there garlic and hot sauce thats what I like to see from these small shawarma places...I will definitely come again and try something else ....good job guys! I have some dietary restrictions like no dairy and no gluten, and I was able to get a yummy shawarma plate with a lot of options and sauces, fitting my diet and needs. Very pleased! Prior to this, the last memorable Falafel I had was Falafel St. Jacques in Montreal. While different in flavor this was in the same highest level category! They have some great home made ingredients and Parsley (saw that in the reviews and partly what made me decide to try today). Keep up the good work, will be back again!

Ordered shawarma pizza based on previous reviews and advertised image. Image advertised on their website did not match what was delivered. As to quality, it was a cheese pizza with a few pieces of shawarma chicken . If youre looking for good shawarma pizza, I suggest to go else where.

The proteins such as kebab and shawarma are pretty good here but the sides need some work. No prepared salads. The peppers are much too salty as well. Prices have gone up for plates and the portions are not large enough

Their ZayZaman wrap is done with a saj bread that gives it a really nice texture, and their pomegranate mollases is really good. Would highly recommend the ZayZaman wrap. Only con is their seating options arent the best.

If you are looking for the perfect Middle Eastern Schwarma place look no further. I have been looking for two years and finally found a great spot. I have been all over KW and this is by far the best, flavourful, they use traditional Saj, they have the right sauces.

DONT GO BY REVIEWS. I dont know how they have 4.7 *. I went there by their reviews and i dont think they deserve more than 2 *. CLEANLINESS : i would give 1 * QUALITY OF FOOD : 2 * QUANTITY : 1 * AMBIENCE : 1* they need to improve on their hygiene and cleanliness. The quantity of veggies are way too less than the other Shawarma around.

It s the place to get shawarma in Kitchener. There might be one other place that could compete in taste but Zay Zaman has also the benefit of having normal prices.

I decided to check out Zay Zaman because of the reviews on their falafels. I was definitely not disappointed with their Falafel wrap. My partner enjoyed the cheese manakeesh. She appreciated the nice amount of cheese and the freshness. The owners were very friendly and gave us good service. We are so delighted to have found this place and recommend it highly. Looking forward to being back for another taste.

I have eaten thousands of shawarmas in my life and I can safely say Zay Zaman is the best. The Saj is flakey, the veggies are fresh and the meat is perfectly seasoned.
