To be honest, never ever have I eaten such freshly prepared sandwiches. Had the fried chicken and Korean chicken sandwiches. The chicken tasted so fresh and soft, the fries are are not like frozen ones we get in the chain outlets. My kid enjoyed his meal. The out door seating area was pleasant. We checked in the afternoon and it wasnt busy. The staff who took my order was cool - smiling and professional. Satisfied

Went in with co workers I waited 20 minutes for a server to come take my drink order. I decided to go to the bar myself when he saw me get up and walk to the bar he scurried over to get my order. Food was ok only had an app. Service was horrendous. The boys club standing behind the bar hanging out was a bit annoying considering they were no where near busy. Advising owners to check cameras. I had 3 of the blueberry pomegranate ciders, however when I received my bill I was charged for 5. Told the server you overcharged me he argued he did not. My colleagues at our table agreed also I only had three. However I probably did order 5 and he put them into his little computer but never actually delivered them. I would be very careful ordering there in a large group.

We had dinner here last week and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall visit. Good food corteous staff pleasant atmosphere.

Just had dinner here at Abe Erb on King Street West in Waterloo. People we great, good service and very pleasant. Had the pepper crusted smoked burger. It was over cooked, very dry and absolutely no flavor other than smoke. Fries were not hot and seemed to be sitting around for a while, gravy was only warm and very lumpy. Cesar salad was ok, nothing special. It was a disappointing meal. We had a burger and fries with side Cesar sald. My partner had 3 beef tacos with fries. We each had a non alcoholic drink. Bill came to $94 including tax and tip. A Harveys burger would have been better and at less than half the price.

Great menu options especially the beer. Lovely place, great place to unwind and chill. Also great for large events - cool vibes and atmosphere. Would definitely return. Service was amazing. Food was delicious!

We booked the Abe Erb Kitchener location for an anniversary party and I couldn t recommend it enough as an event space. The general manager, Tony, was so helpful and quick to respond to our questions during the planning process. The food was delicious and they even accommodated meals for the kids that attended. Great atmosphere for a party! We would definitely book again for future events . Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options to choose from. Love the halloumi fries! Kid-friendliness: The artificial turf area with lawn games is very fun for kids and families.

We reserved the upstairs mezzanine for a private event. Tony and his staff were excellent as was the food and atmosphere!

We are so glad we chose Abe Erb to celebrate our wedding. We had 130 people for a cocktail style reception, and everything exceeded our expectations. We truly had the best night. From the very beginning of the planning process, Tony was quick to respond and accommodated all of our requests. The night of the event, the staff worked so hard to make sure everyone was served at the bar quickly, food was passed, and dishes were cleaned up. The food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was even better. Highly recommend hosting an event here.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of space and games for kids Food

Just went for my birthday, not impressed.. waited 40 min for food wich still ended up being cold, 1 out of 5 meals was actually hot... I had the burger an poutine, burger was alright, would of been better hot, gravy was freezing an tasted a few weeks old... we bearly saw our waitress, music was so loud you could hear the manager scream talking with Im assuming friends of hers (if you habe to scream at your visitors... turn down the music....) then we had a party of like 15 behind us with half of that being screaming kids that acted as if it was a chucky cheese... the place looks like its got promise... but not good for family dining...

I was there with a work function for lunch. The staff were very friendly. The service was good. Im personally not fond of the micro brewery in an old building atmosphere.

The atmosphere was nice and our server was great. The beer was also great. The food was a pretty big disappointment though. We got a very wilted salad that looked like it had been sitting pre made in the fridge. We got crab dip that was fine but the chips were stale, the fried chicken sandwich was good though. Overall I feel like this place could do with a food overhaul and I think there would be more return customers. I d also say the restaurant was kind of slow in service but I wasn t in a rush so I didn t care much about that. Overall I d love to see the food improve to make the experience better.

The experience here was wonderful the burger was delicious and the fries even more so! The atmosphere is very upbeat while still not being too loud perfect for any outings with friends. I will definitely have to come back! Parking: There is only one entrance to the parking here.

Great atmosphere, staff and food. Felt very welcoming as well.

Offers a slight alternative to the typical brew pub setup. Was very laid back. Easy seating with giant TVs to watch the games. Had a bunch of unique beers to try, just no lagers available for some reason. Service was easy going and friendly food was great. Felt really comfortable, and you gotta bean bag toss and mini put setup for something to do. Totally recommended.

Came with a group tonight, 10 of us. Cool atmosphere, loved the mini putt green and corn hole. Food was underwhelming. Poutine came cold - but was replaced and comped. Nachoes with very few toppings. Previously enjoyed the Cobb salad but it wasnt worth it tonight. Flavour of the wings was good. Bills had 18% auto gratuity, which I dont mind with a larger group, but disappointing when service wasnt up to par. May come again in a smaller group to give it another shot, but wont be back with a larger group again.

Its a nice location and good environment but the food they brought me was super sad. I have a specific diet and requested something basic and they brought me the saddest looking beef patties. There was burnt bacon on top of my patties and an ugly looking egg and the cheese was basically gone because it melted before it even got delivered to me. I ended paying almost $35 for this pathetic meal while everyone elses meals looked good and were way cheaper. Would not eat here again. Dietary restrictions: They were not accommodating and brought me a very sad and expensive meal.

Drinks were great, food was good (only got some snacks) The staff were on top of everything. Tuesday afternoon so the quiet atmosphere was to be expected. Parking: There were no spots available, had to pay for parking nearby.

Drinks were fine, didnt like the fact that when you go to pay they already have added the tip for you and they choose 20% , it will be nice to be able to choose who much to tip.

Friendly staff and great food! We sat on a padded bench by a table, which didnt have back support but the material was very nice so it was still comfortable. Abe Erb had a great selection of beers and the food was quite tasty as well. I had the classic burger and it did not disappoint!

UPDATE - the good Mac and cheese is no more, it has been replaced with a bland unseasoned disaster. Avoid. The Mac and cheese was absolutely superb, really good flavors and just the right amount - perfect comfort food for a cold day. I had it with the Jamaican ginger beer. Other people in my group had beer brewed on the premises, all were very much enjoyed!

I come here weekly for trivia! Love our server Vic and the atmosphere. the staff is very friendly! The food is a little on the pricier side but is worth it. The beer selection varies as they brew their own so sometimes some will be unavailable. I would recommend this place to friends who want to go out for a date night.

This is one of the closest bars to where we live, so its a standard go to for us when we want to grab a beer. Everyone there is really nice, its rarely super super busy, and the atmosphere inside is really fun! Outside, the patio is pretty much just a parking lot, but we enjoy it when they have live musicians playing. Food can be a little hit or miss (I dont like the fish and chips but the fried chicken sandwich is nice) but the beer is always good. If you sit at the bar prepare to get splashed by the taps as its not a very deep bar. Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly, always lots of families and little ones having fun!

Had a nice evening with some colleagues for a work thing. Nice service and decent food, we had nachos, pretzels, sweet potato fries and a couple other things. The drinks were also good, I had the strawberry shortcake made into a mocktail, it was actually pretty tasty. Thanks for a fun evening! Parking: Many businesses are in the same area so it might be tough finding a spot during peak hours but Ive never encountered a problem myself. Always one or two that are open, if youre going in a large group, carpooling might be a good idea!

I stopped in and bought two of their craft beers @$4.95 each I believe. The service was great and friendly. I was greeted immediately by a very knowledgeable and helpful server with a lovely smile. The interior is huge, clean and modern with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. I will return to see whats on the Menu!

I love their sweet potato fries with the spicy sauce (regular fries come with regular aioli). Their chicken burgers are popular, and they have a soup of the day which has been interesting each week I visit. I always seem to go for the Cuban sandwich, slices of pork and cheese, toasted on the griddle. Fish and chips - the fish is not over battered and greasy.

Had a date with someone at Abe and erb downtown kitchener. Dinner was mediocre and then the peach sangria. Id like to know was it supposed to be a piece of fresh orange. Because I got a drink with a dried up piece of orange that looked like it was swept up off the floor. The service was less than exceptional. Not very good at all. Not impressed.

It was a nice bar and restaurant I would go back again would recommend the four Fathers these pretzels make me thirsty

Went to Abe Erb Brewing Company (Kitchener location) for lunch today with my husband. Our first time at this location. Let me start by saying the restaurant was very nice. The atmosphere is very casual and downtown ish . It reminded me of the restaurants I used to visit when I lived in Toronto. I liked the atmosphere from the second I walked in to Abe Erb. Next, I need to say that our server Doug was awesome. He is a super friendly person. Very pleasant to talk to and very attentive. He made my drinks(I am not a beer drinker) exactly the way I asked him to make them. My husband told him what kind of beer he was looking to try and Doug recommended something that my husband really enjoyed. Thank you Doug for the amazing service! On to the food, I had the surf and turf tacos. All I can say is best tacos ever! They were absolutely delicious! I could have eaten a dozen of them they were that good. My husband had the Northern Abe with truffle parm fries. He enjoyed every bite his meal. Will I go back to Abe Erb again? Absolutely, may be again even tomorrow. I highly recommend Abe Erb Brewing Company. And if you get Doug as your server it s just and added bonus for you!

So glad to see the Kitchener location back open! The large beer production tanks are gone and they have made great use of the space with large screen TVs, and a putting green/cornhole area that is really fun. Menu and beers were always awesome. I recommend the fried chicken sandwich. Pat and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My fav downtown watering hole.

Visited Abe Erb for the first time this past weekend with a group of friends. The guys loved the beer and the girls loved their non-beer drinks. I personally loved their Elderflower & Blueberry Lemonade and Pineapple & Terragin (pictured below). They also had great sangria. Drinks were a little on the pricier end ($11 for the drinks below, $9 for a glass of sangria) but they were delicious and the portions were decently large. In terms of food, the beer cheese dip with soft pretzels were delicious! They had live music and a section that had indoor corn hole, mini putt and bocce ball. They also had several TVs with sport games playing. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, a great experience at this restaurant/brewery with many things to do rather than just sit at a table and talk. I loved having the ability to bring your drinks with you to play corn hole with friends (especially with it being winter). Highly recommend!

They tried to rip me off. Scammers dont go here to drink they will charge you for more than what you ordered. And will try and make it sound like its not a big deal after you paid.

Overall a very great meal, value, and atmosphere, as well as excellent service. Ample free parking which is rare downtown.

Food was good, came fast and warm. Service was just okay, the waiter we had took our order and then never came back to the table. Other waitresses delivered our food, and we had to get the attention of another waitress to get our bill after half an hour of waiting for someone to come to the table.

We decided to give Abe Erb a second chance after a bad experience on our first visit. This visit both my wifes pasta and my burger came out cold. They offered my wife a pint on the house. We still had to pay both meals even though my wife sent it back as we split my cold fries instead. We both left hungry after spending $70. Terrible customer service! Will never return.

Casual atmosphere and good food at reasonable price

I was here recently with a group from work. The service was great. Even though we were a big group, they got all the order correctly and also brought the food at the same time for everyone. They were a bit understaffed, but they pulled together and offered a great service. The food was also really good. The crab appetizers and the blue cheese hamburger were delicious!

Overall good bang for your buck but the service was a little slow. Took over an hour for lunch, however we were with a group of 15 so I understand but we called in advance and the kitchen didnt seem prepared to handle the volume. No hard feelings, food was great and im sure it was not usual in terms of speed of service. Give Abe Erb a try!

Great Choice of Beer. Foodwise, it was ok. I had the fish n Chip which was overcooked for my taste. Although, rest of the table seemed to Enjoy their meal. The staff was wonderful. Vegetarian options: Veggie starter, falafel plate, veggie Melt, Mac n Cheese.
