My go to restaurant for celebrations. One time they mess up part of our order and they immediately fixed it and gave us some extra food on the house. Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Although expensive, the food, service, and atmosphere are consistently amazing.

So I ve been to martinis tons of times and always enjoyed it. This time however there was a child watching cartoons with max volume on his device at the table next to us. I asked the waitress if she could ask the caregiver to turn the phone down or to put on headphones, she did not. I asked the woman to have the boy put on headphones and she said no. This is not the atmosphere for phones to be playing cartoons. I feel like martinis needs to uphold its sophisticated environment and not allow cartoons to be played on devices with the volume loud enough for all to hear, it s not fair to the other diners.

The meals were really amazing, everything we had was amazing. And Rebecca was such a lovely host. Also got complimentary dessert for my celebration. Experience was a 15/10!

I had a fantastic brunch for a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and the patio was very comfortable.

My husband and I went this past weekend for an anniversary dinner. Ill start off with the good : the atmosphere was great, we sat in the patio and it was very pleasant, we highly enjoyed it! Our server (I dont recall her name) was very pleasant and attentive, zero complaints about her! The bad: we ordered a featured item, I think It was called the Flintstone tomahawk steak 40oz for $184. For this price point we were expecting the most delicious steak wed ever eaten, but we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the steak medium rare, but when it came out only some parts were clearly medium rare, other sections were very over cooked and one corner even looked burnt! As for the taste.. Well there was none, it was extremely flavorless. We didnt want to send it back because we knew that it would go to the trash and felt bad about wasting it. So we did eat it, but notified our server and she had the manager come and talk to us. We explained the situation and also explained we werent looking for another steak, just thought they should be aware. He was very kind and ended up offering us desert on the house and took care of the first round of drinks. So we were happy they tried to make ammends for the terrible giant steak. I think our total bill came to about $250 (tip included) Would we go back? Unfortunately not. Although we did enjoy the atmosphere and service, we left sorely dissapponted in the quality of the meat. We could have have eaten wayyyy better meat for half (or even less) the price we paid at Martinis.

Food extremely salty. Sent it back and asked for a salad. Took them 20 minutes to make the salad same they still messed up on it. At this time, everyone has finished eating. Needless to say, didn t get to eat. Never had such bad service here. What changed?!? Not even a manager can t by to apologize! Wow!

We were disappointed with the quality of the steak, sides were OK but nothing special. Service was great.

This past Good Friday, my lovely sister, and wonderful brother-in-law, so generously took me out for brunch on Good Friday at this location. The food was fantastic and delectable the recommended red Vino didn t disappoint ..shout out to our server Vanessa, who was exemplary in her attention to detail /stellar service, and an awesome sense of humour !!highly recommend this location cheers.

I came here to celebrate a friends birthday and really enjoyed my time here! The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. They also have many food options, including a whole vegan menu. I believe this is a great place whether youre looking to come in with friends or a dinner date.

Had an incredible experience today at Martinis for lunch with my hubby and young kids. The server was super friendly and ensured we had a great dining experience (from the drink recommendation to a warm towel to clean up messy hands from a small spill). The seafood risotto was decadent - creamy , generous amounts of seafood and comforting for the cold weather. Just divine ! Our portions of chicken fingers, kids desserts and tuna bowl were also generous. Great food, ambiance and service. Can t wait to return ! Kid-friendliness: Coloring sheets and crayons with yummy finger foods are a must for young kids- glad they offered them !

The atmosphere was nice, lots of space and even private dining areas for larger groups. The waiters were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The food was good for the prices and portions given, but nothing really stood out for our group in terms of main courses. However, the desserts were incredible! We were pleasantly surprised to see plant based options. Plenty of parking available at the site and very clean bathrooms. Thank you for accommodating our large group. The best food and atmosphere, hands down in the tri-cities!

Hair in our food. The waitress kept questioning us on whether the hair was in the dish or on the edge of the plate. Not sure why that matters but she talked to us as if this was a suspicious incident, as there was lots of back and forth before she was agreeable in sending the dish back. She returned 40 min later with half the portion of the original dish which I didnt even touch. Unfortunately I didnt get to eat the new one either since everyone else at our table finished eating. No apology offered at any time. Youd get better service and hygiene at a fast food restaurant.

Professional staff. Great food and drinks. It has 3 sections. Sports bar, patio and an italian restaurant. We got the table in the patio which i think is the best place to dine. Bar and patio is on the ground floor and italian restaurant is below them.

My wife and I love this restaurant, we have been going here for years, everything is awesome. Its a good place to go as a couple or a group of friends.

We ordered the halal steak. It wasnt bad, a little lacking in flavour but over a pretty good meal. The service though was amazing. Our waitress kept our water topped, didnt try and chit chat too much and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience! Dietary restrictions: They have halal options.

Seafood risotto is out of this world! Amazing food, amazing atmosphere!

The food here is sooo good! We had calamari, truffle fries and burgers. Everything was served hot and tasted delicious. The margaritas were amazing! Try the spicy mango margarita! Our waitress was super sweet and efficient. We were there on a Thursday and the place was busy and vibrant.

Update: spoke to Richard and gave them all the information we had. He said he would look into it and would resolve the issue. Original post: I love this place and the food is normally good but the last time visited my wife s chicken didn t taste right. We thought it might ve been the seasoning but lasted we figured it might not have been cooked fully or spoiled. My wife s felt awful when she got home and said her stomach was bothering her. Additionally the server was aloof and wasn t playing attention to the table. Not a good showing this time.

We went to this restaurant for the first time with friends on the July 1 weekend. We sat on the patio and I had the truffle burger with caesar salad. It was great. We also had sangria and their sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was to die for. Excellent service, our waitress was great and very accommodating in giving us great recommendations. We will be back.

A very nice place and delicious food!

Went to Martini s with a few friends. Terrible service. We were waiting to get a table for over an hour even though we could clearly see that many tables were open. That despite having called them to ask about availability and capacity. Upon arrival the greeters simply shrugged that they don t know who I talked to. Sat at the bar while waiting, and even the food was below average. Won t get into labels and why we might have been treated poorly. The outcome was a very disappointing experience.

Usually sit at bar with hubby and have great service. Used to order the roasted brussel sprouts with kettle chips, dusted in sriracha lime (I think it was) Oh my, they were out of this world, never had as good anywhere else....popped in on Tuesday and the sprouts are off the menu. Our sever was not interested in my disappointment and offered up instead, the new menu item, bacon wrapped sprouts. I went for it. Wont go for it again. $15.95 for 6 (one was very tiny) mediocre tasting, room temperature sprouts. Server never even asked how we liked (or didnt) them. We tried 3 beers. Every single one of them was flat. A good bartender especially at Martinis prices, should know when their beer is not pouring. We switched to wine. We also had fish tacos & fries. The tacos were really good. The fries were a bit of a letdown. Food should have been hotter. Beef Wellington minis with horseradish cream sauce were tasty, very rich. Again only warm, not hot. Except for the nice cold glasses of two oceans white wine, our server did not ask how anything else was, not at any point. Definitely was not up to par this visit, sad for The Charcoal Group. Overall it was okay though through the years we have had much better experiences so we will go back and sit at the bar & see how it goes next time.

An evening out with the ladies, we were pretty excited to be dining in at Martini s. I would have to say they were pleased with their meals. However, I was disappointed with my meal and drink. My first cocktail was delicious. Can t recall the name but it was really good. However, when the meal came, which was a seafood risotto, it was extremely salty for me. I did eat it because I did not want to have to wait as everyone else was eating, but did mention to the waitress at the end It was salty. I wasn t expecting anything, but she comped my first drink, which was really nice. I did proceeded to get another drink a martini, which, unfortunately was watered down and lacked taste. It was really disappointing. The waitress did overhear my dissatisfaction, and in fact, I had two sips and left the rest in the glass. I was disappointed that there was no further acknowledgement. We were celebrating a birthday, and the waitress was kind enough to provide a free dessert for all of us. The only thing I would say is we all were sharing from one bowl providing additional plates would have been nice. I don t feel that I got the value for my money. I ve always had great meals at Martinis but unfortunately, this one miss the mark.

Awesome place. Great beer menu and great service. The food was good, too. We visited the place in September on an occasion and they gave us complimentary sweets. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good ambience, food and beer.

Amazing experience at Martinis!! The food was great, extended patio accomodated our pet. What stood was our server Vanessa!! She is a rockstar!! Made us feel comfortable throughout with a 6 month old and a small pet. Super friendly and knowledgeable (suggested great plant-based options). Foodwise, the stuffed mushrooms was one of the best weve ever had, cauliflower wings - great, steak and salad (very delicately designed and balanced). We were full and couldnt order any desserts, however, when I mentioned we were celebrating my wifes birthday, Vanessa handed us a dessert to go, on the house!Loved the place and definitely going back soon to try some more dishes!! Vegetarian options: Amazing plant based options (not just the regular soyabean based patty) Parking: Multiple levels of parking and straight entrance to the patio if you are with a pet. This is the first restaurant where I can honestly say every dish Ive tried has been steller. Perfect portions of fusion flavours. The drinks are both yummy and creative. I highly recommend it.

Outstanding dining experience at Martini s. We sat on the beautiful heated patio which was a treat on this fall day. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer, which was flavourful and nicely done with cream cheese. The carrot ginger Thai soup was lovely and blackened fish tacos were done with care. Meant to make this review awhile back but got busy. A small group of us decided to grab dinner (Friday November 4th) after my husband and Is wedding ceremony in uptown Waterloo. We were in the area taking pictures when my husband said he was hungry and my sister recommended that we go here. The food was yummy and the servers we really nice! We even got a yummy brownie saying congratulations on it Really regret not going here with our other friends as we had a bad experience at the other place we went (this place was ironically on my list of possible places but a few people wanted to try the other place as it was an Indian restaurant). Either way I highly recommend! The big bonus for me is that they have a plant based menu, which is great. We are definitely planning on returning.

Delicious food (at least my order). Loveliest staff. Good price. When you prepare a takeout order, fork and a spoon shouldnt even be asked for. Let alone when I specifically asked for one, was told OK and still hasnt gotten one. Thats just mean.

Went to Martinis for the very first time and wow so fun, had such a blast!!!! Their is one waitress that lightes up my day... (Theyre name is Louis LOU, theyre but the best,,,,,,, the food is great but low is a special worker!!!! I can never decide what I want too look for on menu cause I get lost in her eyes! They may have to fire lou, so food sales can pickup because she is the #coolest highly recommend Sunday- whatever day she has off. .change name from Martinis to Lous and Ill buy membership.

Went to have lunch with my cousin and ordered Oysters and the oysters were not shucked proper at all. There was sand and broken pieces and we were unable to easily slide them off the shell. We spoke with our server who simply said sorry and nothing else. Sadly will not be returning as at least a small gesture should have been made when we purchase something that is not cheap and wasn t presented properly. Have yet to hear back from the manger even though I left a message. Went in last night for a late dessert and my friend and I instantly regretted it. We thought we d be safe with dessert but even that was poor.

Went to Martinis for dinner. Reservations were easy to make and once arrived brought to table requested. Martinis concept used to be based on numerous martinis to choose from but not so much anymore. We were accommodated with a menu to choose from and martini made perfectly. We ordered escargot and petite wellingtons. The escargot was dry with no juices served with very crisp crostini s, the petite beef wellingtons tasted great. I ordered another martini the blueberry creamsicle and possibly the worst martini I ve ever drank. Being 2 for 4 before we ordered dinners each, we choose to share blackened fish tacos served with a side of fry s and gravy. I would never order the tacos here again as the black bean salsa overpowered the dish. You would have never known the fish was blackened because it was not crisp but rather soggy. The fry s were the best fry s I ve ever ate however the gravy was au jus which was a disappointment. At this point we opted out to stay for dinner paid our hundred dollar bill and choose another restaurant. On the way out I visited the restroom to find the floors were dirty and they were out of paper towel and Kleenex box was empty.

My fiancé and I chose to celebrate our 2 year anniversary here in which we ve never been before. We are so happy with our decision. From the quality of food, to the drinks, to the service - everything exceeded our expectations! They even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary which was a pleasant surprise. Made reservations here, we travel over from the US twice a week for business so we wanted to give this place a try after seeing the good reviews. We had the sausage and shrimp skillet, Parisian cheese toast, ribeye-medium with twice baked potato, raspberry lime margaritas. Everything was very delicious and the dining has a very elegant and calming atmosphere. With all that said, we weren t really tended to much. There were people that were seated after us and had their orders taken first, even asked them if they wanted something else other than water while we weren t asked the option until we later requested. Our table wasn t checked on much at all, over the other tables that were nearby. Our drinks were out for most of the dining experience, until a manager came by checking on tables and by that point we were pretty much finished eating and ready to go. If it weren t for the lack of service we would have definitely been back there when we are back in the area, seemed like a lot of good items to try out on their menu!

We never got to the dining part. We were unable to have a conversation as the music was too loud. The bartender would not reduce the sound so we left. It seems to be a common thread in this region to have a loud sound background in our dining space. When dining in Europe there is no background noise/music and people talk in soft tones. If the vibe here is noise pollution its not worth it to eat out.

Well....I ordered the plant based butter chicken...they gave me real chicken and then lied about it!!!!! Not impressed!!! Needless to say I sent it back. When served vegetarian as ordered, it was fantastic! Great flavors , decent portion, and nicely presented. Service was friendly, although staff should pay more attention to their customers and leave phones alone! Overall...I would go back.

Certainly not impressed with the service we received here this time around. We came in for a girls night. We first ordered 3 drinks, and the server who brought them to us spilled an entire drink on my friend, and also part of my drink on the table. The drink spilled absolutely everywhere and since their tables dont have any grips, and the floor is as smooth as an ice rink, the moment we tried to get up, the other two drinks went flying all over me. It was a complete disaster and I was soaked head to toe. To compensate for our completely ruined night out, they paid for our FIRST round of drinks. That is all. Like nothing happened. We all ordered food, nothing fancy or expensive at all, but they didnt even bother to cover our meals. The floor is unsafe, especially since its on a patio, and you should really consider fixing this before something worse happens.

We went for a dinner during our honeymoon. The food was incredible, steak frites and the beef dip, both so tender and delicious. Our server was great, as was all the staff, our awesome waitress even surprised us with a dessert to celebrate our marriage. The patio was beautiful, we were just so relaxed out there enjoying our drinks and food.

The batter for the shrimp was bit too hard. I had my steak from the Charcoal Steak House menu which I loved however the ribs that we ordered was very salty. But the server was very nice and tried to explain the reasons which got me happy at the end of the night. We also ordered the fish taco which was apparently REALLY good.

EE looked after us on saturday and always excels above and beyond for us - thank you for being comforting and outstanding during this time!

Very nice spot for a date night it had been a long time since dining out, and this was very comfortable, the restaurant was fairly full but still quiet, and we had a little table in the corner which felt like a good distance from other tables so we could relax.
