Usually love this place. Food is typically great and servers are awesome. Hate to give a bad review since I know the industry has been hit really hard, but this experience was particularly unpleasant. Terrible experience tonight. I think they had a fire in the kitchen, the place quickly filled with dense smoke. Fire department was called and fire truck arrived. Restaurant didn t seem that busy. First server said that there were too many orders in the kitchen. Our server said there were too many steaks on the grill at once. We had to leave mid-meal, and left most of the wine in the glass. We were told the table beside us left because they were afraid. This has never happened to us here before and probably would have been ok if a manager or someone came around and explained the situation. But the restaurant and servers just pretended it was all normal. Kinda surprised that we were billed for the full meal and drinks, but we paid and quickly got out of there.

Stopped in for a few drinks and the bartender Taylor was amazing. She provided service and was fun and friendly. Will go back soon

Party of 5. Appetizers and desserts were excellent. While the whipped Feta and roasted tomato was delicious and the favorite appetizer of three ordered, the presentation lacked a little against the picture. Everyone enjoyed their mains. Favorite dessert was the Key Lime pie. Our server admitted to being a new server, but was a blast and did an excellent job.

Amazing time at Moxies this weekend! Went with the girls for dessert and it was delightful! The new churro ice cream sandwich is the best!! Thanks to Mac for the great service and to the GM Steve for ensuring we had the best time!

I had a fantastic time from the beginning to the end of my lunch. Service was prompt, friendly, informative; food was hot, beautiful, and delicious. I tried the new spicy chorizo & shrimp flatbread and lemme tell you--generous portion for an appy! I recommend it. As always, the decor and atmosphere were relaxing and sophisticated. The ladies was clean and fresh. Thank-you!

2024 update . 10 stars hands down been going to Moxies on Fairway for several years .just got back from celebrating my birthday another wonderful experience their secret formula continues to wow us and now i can say with certainty it is timeless and core to the restaurant s service philosophy. Starts with the staff who go well beyond the average to make you feel welcome and special, divine food and upscale ambiance. Again well done Moxies. Original review: Great food...great service...

My favourite Moxies, such a relaxing atmosphere, with great food and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the Chicken Zen Bowl and the White Chocolate Brownie is a classic. Everyone on the staff was super nice and helpful. Kianna made sure I had a fun celebration for my graduation. I look forward to my next time in the area!

Terribly disappointed here. Was looking forward to trying a new place to eat since my celiacs diagnose. They have gluten conscious food but all the fried food, including fries, are fried in the same oil as gluten food. This is not gluten conscious.

Excellent food. The service is a little slow, so allow some extra time. On my second visit on September 17, 2024, the food was excellent. They are great at asking you if you have any food allergies that are omitted by several others. The patio is wonderful. Service has slightly improved but needs more work. Once youre sitting, the person who brings to your table should tell us who the server is and bring us some water right away if so desired.

Today I had a reservation at 12 pm for 2. Honestly everything was okay according to me except one huge unacceptable mishap. There was a hair in my plate of food. I had ordered Super Greens Salad I found a blonde hair half way through BUT i could not bring it to notice because I was having lunch meet with a CEO of a company, my new employer. It did not wanted a scene or a distraction while discussing important things with my employer, so I let it slide. The person I was having lunch with, my employer did not seem happy with the service, because it was too slow for him. We definitely had to wait for paying the bill. Our glass was never refilled or offered to be refilled. But our waitress seemed nice: Taylor. I think a little improvement on service is needed and the hair in the food is completely unacceptable. Lucky it was in my plate and not the CEOs plate. He would have flipped. Hope you take this honest experience feedback positively.

Messed up a steak 3 times and the server disappears afterwards. If you cant cook a steak, take it off the menu. Poor service, not exactly my fault that the food is being sent back. Wont be a return from any of us.

Dinner tasted amazing and so did the drinks. Our server Aneeta or Aneeka? Was also phenomenal and gave great service! Very friendly and accommodating, easy to get a reservation. 4 stars only as my espresso martini was more than half foam. Not worth $14 for mostly foam but service and food were great.. especially the ribeye steak with the mushroom sauce also recommended by our wonderful server!

Food was absolutely perfect. I had the best beef dip ever. My wife had the chicken zen bowl that was fantastic. Service was great also. Taylor did a fantastic job. Could not have been any better.

We re not from Kitchener and stopped in for a snack. Taylor was our server and she was so nice! Great server she deserves a raise!

Good Food, I love to have my lunch here

We hosted a retirement party there last week. The hostess made it so easy to work with. The servers were incredible. Food was fabulous and overall a great time was had by all!

What a beautiful surprise My family surprised me with a birthday dinner. The sirloin was delicious. The salmon was fantastic and our server was delightful. Recommend highly.

It was cozy place with good quality food compared to other locations in Toronto and food were so friendly.

We stopped in for a snack which turned into dinner. Great atmosphere, not too busy. The plate of nachos was huge and easily satisfied two people. Highly recommended. Dietary restrictions: The nachos were gluten free. Thanks.

How do you mess up a Cesar salad ?

This Moxies is always on the ball. They have too tear service expectations and they always deliver on that promise. The food is always great, and I love the seasonal manu changes.

Thoroughly enjoyed my gluten free chipotle mango chicken! With a modification to the rice usually included in the dish it was easily converted into a gluten free main dish. The gf salted caramel cheesecake was also delightful. Our group all enjoyed their meals. If back in the area - would certainly return! Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options

Sad to say, as this used to be our favorite restaurant in town, but tonight service and food wasn t good. They took our appetizer apparently to the wrong table, we tried to flag our server, Lilia a few times to ask where our appetizer wa, but she was not around. When she finally brought our mains we had to tell her we never got our appetizers and her response was, oh must have gone to the wrong table, do you still want it. She laughed it off. Anyways we declined the appetizer, also she never brought refills etc, we had to ask her and she was again taking it to the wrong table. Because of her poor service we won t be back, after coming here so so many times. Not to mention, the tuna sushi stack, last few times the chips were very stale that come with it.

Went to Kitchener to visit family and choose to eat here. Atmosphere was clean and quiet. We were able to chat without issue. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We had two different young ladies, one was finishing her shirt and one just starting. It was seamless. My meal was outstanding. I ordered the lettuce chicken wraps. Wow, was I impressed. I thought they would have come wrapped but I didnt mind doing it myself. I believe it was actually listed as a starter but I had it as a meal and had more than enough to take home for a second meal. The rest of the party enjoyed their food as well. I think the only negative comments was about the taste of one the chicken strip dips and that one of the salads that was ordered was to be made with quinoa but the quinoa was very minimal.

I reserved Moxies for a large group, over 30 people. They did a great job accommodating all of us. The food was really good. The atmosphere was fabulous. The wait staff attentive and very friendly. Im glad we choose Moxies for our event. I would definitely return.

Our server was incredible... Kind, funny and understanding. Food was the best weve had since we came in on Sunday! We are only here until Friday but we may eat there again!

Ive met at this location recently for business / working lunches with a colleague and both times everything has been really great. Food and drinks were perfect. Both times we had Taylor as our server. Each time she has been incredible: friendly, attentive, fun and genuine. She made us feel really special and took care of us even though she was very busy. Way to go Moxies Kitchener...and way to go Taylor!!

First time going to this Restaurant recently. I agree with another poster that the prices are high. For two of us it was $145. That said, i am giving a 5 star review for the food. I ordered the Prawn Curry Laksa and was blown away with the flavour so much so I ordered it again for delivery tonight. Koodos to the chef as I have a fairly hard-to-please palate. The only thing I would suggest is that it come with some sort of an atisianal bread for dipping into the amazing broth. Even just a couple slices. We also ordered the roasted tomatoes with whipped feta and whoa another winner. Since thats comes with an artisan bread, I admittedly used it for a bit of dipping in my broth. I am now addicted to both of those dishes.

I m a customer for this moxies specific location for 9 years now and tonight was the worst service I ve ever experienced!

Was in on the weekend for a bite and had Sophie serve us. The food was great and ready really quickly! She was super tentative and made a point to ask us about our weekends. She suggested the espresso martini and we were not disappointed. Overall great experience and appreciated Sophie s attention

Hi I went with several friends to this location last Sunday, August 27. I have been several times as I love their patio so spacious. I had my usual potstickers and calamari for appetizers then my hands down fav pasta .. their rigatoni is the best. I will never get fed up of this dish and to top it off they make the best mimosas and I switched it up a bit and asked them to sub the orange juice for pineapple and it was delish. Service atmosphere and the whole ambience of the place was pleasant and of course I will be back! Update I went out for dinner in April 2024 same location and had their rigatoni which was excellent as well as pineapple mimosas. They were excellent.

I have been here a number of times in the past couple of years. Service, food and drinks are always top notch. I will continue to trust that going to Moxie s is always a good time!

Very nice service from manager and server. Family members had a wonderful time. Family members and birthday girl enjoyed the restaurant. We did mention there was a birthday in our party and assumed something was coming from Moxies but nothing. We all had a great time with just being together. Salad was made with kale, I think, and it was tough to chew. Order salted caramel cheese cake, and it came as black berry cheesecake with black berry sauce.....no caramel. Wheelchair accessibility: Its all on one level but very dim and dark inside. My Mom had a hard time seeing and drove into the wall instead of out the door

Food was good, but we had a reservation for an anniversary where they didnt push tables together for us. The service was unbelievably slow -- we were there for 3.5 hours. I was ready to leave by 7:30 but didnt see the server until after 8. And then she didnt get us our bills until almost 9. Im sure she was new or busy and its probably not her fault, but if she wasnt up to handling a group, she should have been given some support. Other tables came and went, their servers could have also noticed we were waiting so long. On top of that, gratuity was automatically included, no option of accounting for poor service. The manager did give us free app cards, but you still have to purchase an entree to use it. Not as much compensation as I would have expected.

My husband, mom and myself went to Moxies on Friday February 2nd in the afternoon (3pm) to have lunch for my moms 85th birthday. The condescending manager?\host?/server decided we needed to be seated in the dining room. The three of us would have preferred to be in the part of the restaurant where there were actually other patrons. We got seated in the dining room, where we sat in a totally empty, very cold room. We sat for 10 minutes before the same condescending guy came to welcome us! He apologized for the wait, and explained the waitress in that area was slammed . He took our drink orders. When our waitress arrived with our drinks, we empathized with how busy she was. She laughed and said she wasn t busy at all! She mentioned she was the opposite of busy! Another server arrived to take our food order. There had been a switch up! The food was quite tasty. We were enjoying the appetizer when our main courses arrived. Incredibly frustrating to not be able to finish our appie before our meals arrived. The bottom line is we won t return to this Moxies because the guy at the front felt we were too old to be in the busier part of the restaurant. And he felt the need to lie about why the server took so long to tend to us. The young people in the world need to realize it is many of the senior population that have the money to pay for lunch/dinner out! I tried to send a complaint to the restaurant, as opposed to a broader Google review, but that process was unavailable. Incredibly disappointed and will take our (quite substantial) dining dollars elsewhere.

Moxies distinguishes itself from others by having a quieter atmosphere, and different menu than others. They now have vegetarian options too. We were a party of 6 and had good service. Everyone ordered a different meal and each of us enjoyed theirs. I would return.

Server Julia was amazing went above and beyond for us! Management on the other hand was horrible. They explained how they would take care of the dish that had hair in the food and then when it came time to pay the manager said they took care of the dish with hair but we pay for the remake that I ate 20 minutes later than the rest of my party. She then ensured us they wear beard masks so she doubts it s a beard hair but in a table of females none of our hair is 2cm. Also contrary to her assurance they wear beard masks, if you walk to the washroom you pass the kitchen clearly and can see none of the staff has a beard mask on. Honestly in the hospitality industry customer service should always be prioritized and they just failed at that here. Ive never had an issue here but the female manager with brown hair will be the reason I never return.

My friend and I had a reservation for 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night. When we arrived at 7, we were told our table was still occupied by the previous party. Ange I believe, privately spoke to us in a quieter area and explained the situation. She was super friendly, understanding, kind and we didnt mind waiting the extra 10 minutes for the other party to leave. We appreciate the A+ customer service from the staff, as well as our server named Devin I believe, who was amazing throughout the entire evening. The food was also A++!

Excellent service from Taylor, the restaurant was super clean and food was really good as well! We tried the new smoked old fashion (whiskey and it was really good) & the espresso martini. The food was cooked well and fresh! We had the baby back ribs, Caesar salad, truffle parm fries & blackened Mahi Mahi with grilled shrimp on the side (shrimp were a really good size!) And for dessert we had the white chocolate brownie! Thanks for a great afternoon!

My boyfriend and I had a dinner here for our anniversary and everything was amazing. We had the tuna tacos as a starter, then mahi mahi and the prawn curry as our mains. Everything was delicious. Our server Aneeka was lovely and offered us a complimentary dessert!

This restaurant is a great place to have a nice calm late dinner with your significant other. The staff were excellent, and the food was tasty and cooked perfectly.

Wanted to share my experience online here because after multiple attempts at resolving my issue privately with the general manager Steve, I had no such luck. I was in for lunch in late October and ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely overcooked, and the size of the chicken patty was extremely small. I would have said something at the restaurant but I only had half there and assumed the other half would have been better, but it was not. I emailed Steve directly and asked to get a credit or refund for the cost of the sandwich. He responded politely and said he would mail me a gift card to address the issue. Well after multiple emails, which he stated that the gift card was in the mail, nothing ever arrived. If he would have been upfront and said it is not their policy to do this or been honest about it, I would have let it rest. But he was dishonest and then simply ghosted me. My recommendation if you want a good sandwich is to go one block down and pay less for a much better product.

We had a wonderful dinner at Moxies last night. Eleni was our server. So friendly and pleasant. The food was amazing! My only critique is to not make guests request their cutlery and side plates. So, if thats my biggest concern, as a former server, obviously our experience was fantastic!! Well be back, and hope to have Eleni, again.

Was decent but my chair was broken and had nails sticking out and I cut my leg pretty bad. I tried to tell the waiter but every time I tried it didn t work. I have 3 cuts on my one leg from it. They really should be taking better care of their belongings and ensuring they re in good condition. Because I didn t get to tell my waiter I left my chair upside down when I left. Hopefully they understood

Went on half price wine night and the food and service was really good. My wife had the fried chicken sandwich and I had the beef Vindaloo which was super hot.

First, the food was fantastic as usual. However the service was severely lacking. A friend had called to book a res for 16 to celebrate an 18th wedding anniversary. The staff member on the phone said no problem, we can out 4 tables together. When we arrived, they seated us in an area with 4 separate booths near eachother...not what we expected. Before the anniversary couple arrived, I explained to our waitress that we wanted their bill devided between the other 14 guests (we all agreed to pay for their meal). She said sure no problem. Over the course of the evening, the guest of honor waited 10+ minutes after her food arrived for cutlery...no one came to the table...I had to get up and walk to the server station to ask for cutlery. The waitress rarely came by the tables to see what was needed. Dessert was never offered. A glass of water was ordered and never came. I ordered extra sauce for my meal and it took 15+ minutes, when the waitress came to serve something else I had to remind her I was still waiting on the extra sauce...another long wait before it arrived. Over all a very disappointing experience. Guests in our party stated to get restless at the end of the night. No one was even coming to clear the tables. Some stood up and held their jackets to perhaps send a signal, but no one even noticed. I again had to go to the waitress station to ask for our bills and remind her that the anniversary couple bill was to be divided and put on the other 14 guests billed. The waitress had not kept track of who was on what bill from the beginning so it took another 30 minutes for her to figure out who ordered what and process this with the manager. None of us were thrilled to see an 18% tip automatically added to each of our bills. The only person who deserved a tip that night was the cook. When the manager asked how was everything, I was honest and said things were very slow and we werent too happy with the service. She then gave us all a card for a free appetizer (with the purchase of an entree) for our next visit. This was almost insulting. Ive had good experiences at Moxies in the past, so Im really hoping this is just a one-off and not becoming a trend at this location.

A surprisingly great meal. First time being at a Moxies, the atmosphere was definitely more upscale than I was expecting but it wasn t too fancy to make you feel out of place. The dining room has separated areas to make it more intimate and each are nicely styled. Nachos were fantastic and a great portion. Mains were fantastic as well, although portions were questionable for the price (high end of the spectrum). If we hadn t had the appetizer, we may not have left completely full. With that said we were thoroughly pleased and the service was good and friendly. Refills brought without having to ask/wait around with an empty glass for 15 minutes - a definite plus. Will be back to try more options!

Moxies is a nice, upscale chain. This was my first visit to this store. The lights are kept very low, which I like. Theres a light above reach table so i can see my food, but Im not in glare. The place is clean and spacious, so i dont feel cramped. Oddly, we were seated immediately beside other tables even though there were empty tables farther away - i expected to be seated with some space between tables. No big deal, just odd. The food was great, and arrived quickly. Our waitress was attentive and sweet and engaged in a meaningful conversation with us (it was a slow night). Ill happily return. Parking: Its in a large retail area so there is a ton of shared parking.

A good mixture of different types of foods, and good selection of different types of beers. This is a sports bar but with a luxury makeover. The seats are very comfy, a lot of modern leather booths in the bar section, and more elegant seating in the Dining section. You usually do not need a reservation but I do recommend it if you have a big group of 8 or more people. The staff is friendly and service is not too long of a wait. There is a covered patio as well, which is great during the summer weather.

I have to say this is definitely on my top list of places to eat good food. I have not been disappointed yet. The atmosphere is classy, the service is fantastic and the food is amazing. The price is more than fair for quality food and presentation. This place is doing it right! Food

Had a reservation for 20 people at 8pm on a Friday, and there was still lots of space. I had the $39.5 steak frites with truffle parm fries, which tasted okay, but it was small and the steak was very thick, so it was a bit rare in the center when I asked for medium rare. The $27.5 chimichurri steak salad had a bit too much/strong of a dressing, but it was more worth it than the steak frites. My friends also didnt ask for the truffle parm fries upgrade, but they gave it to them and charged for it. The service was very good considering the number of people we had, but the waiter was a bit hard to get a hold of sometimes. The tables were a bit wobbly, and the chairs didnt feel very sturdy (one felt particularly flimsy). Overall, its not bad for a large group gathering.

Went to Moxie s and had two amazing dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick for service. One of our dishes we did not enjoy, and the waitress and manager were kind enough to remove it from our bill. They asked for our feedback and also offered us a complementary dessert. They went above and beyond, and did not need to do that. Trenedy and Jay provided amazing customer service, and we will be sure to go back and try some of their recommendations.

My wife and I had a great time and a fantastic dinner. The server was very congenial and did a great job.

Service was great, food fresh and Im timely manner. Only downer for me was I was in on a Sunday around noon so there were only about 6 tables taken. Family with 2 small kids under 6 were placed right beside me. I knownits a public restaurant but I just wish in a mature setted business families with kids could be put in a separate section from the 19+ Vegetarian options: Lots and lots of options !

Amazing service by the bar staff.. we sat at the bar for quite sometime, very friendly service. We also got food at the bar, which was undercooked a little, so they changed it also Overall i did love the ambience and atmosphere of the place Our server Lily was exceptionally polite and great at the service

Food was very good. Staff very friendly and attentive. The music in the bar area was a bit louder than I like but the dinner room was much better.

Nice layout and friendly wait staff. Food options are very diverse which is nice. Had the bite size ribs which were very good. They were a nice size and well seasoned. Also had the tuna sushi starter and it was amazing. Probably could have ordered two of them. Bartender was great. Drinks were awesome. Highly recommend.

Food came out incorrect, with lettuce, and they tried to remove it instead of replacing the bun. It was still on the bun.

The entire experience was fantastic. Had the roasted tomatoes and whipped feta and the tuna poke bowl. Both were fantastic. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was good.

Had the pleasure of going to Moxies tonight for a friends Birthday. The staff was fun and welcoming from the minute we walked in. Our server Devin went over and above. Overall the food, service and evening was perfect.
