357 King St E unit 101, Kitchener, ON N2G 0C1, Canada
Dine-in and take out Vietnamese Restaurant Entrance to the restaurant is on Cedar St (between King St E and Charles St E). Parking is available beside the restaurant on Cedar Street along the side of the Ben Thanh Supermarket . Free 2 Hour Parallel Parking is available along King St E.
The food was delicious and only downside is the parking is limited.
Amazing food with great price. Best restaurant in KW.
Stopped by for lunch as we were passing by. The owner was very friendly and genuinely gave recommendations of what to get, especially which juices were freshly squeezed for the kids. We also ordered vermencelli and rice noodles. The portion was satisfying. There were also hot peppers for sides which seemed home pickled and flavorful. Highly recommend!
Delicious food, friendly staff and speedy service. Great prices! My second time going here and will keep coming back! I recommend their pho dishes and also their fresh spring rolls
Drove from Guelph in search of good pho and this place did not disappoint! We had P14 and P31, both great! P31 pictured here :)
I was walking to my usual Pho restaurant on my way from Sunday service when blooming magnolias (a yellow and a pink) caught my eye, I took a detour to walk past them and found my way into this restaurant. The basil & bean sprouts were so fresh, the broth deep while lite and it's temperature very hot. Service was fast and friendly while the other dinners as well as the atmosphere was more than pleasant. It was a delightful experience.
This place is bright and clean. The staff were friendly and service was quick despite it being a busy lunch hour. Our dishes were made with fresh ingredients and serving sizes did not disappoint. I did find the flavours of the dishes not as pronounced as I'm used to, however this is a personal preference so I didn't ding them for any of the well deserved stars. Will go back.
Convenient location in DTK if you are stopping by the farmers market or local stores. We came on a Saturday for lunch and the restaurant was not too busy. Simple service and decor but overall very bright and clean. They have a good phở with a hefty portion of meat even for the smaller sizes. The herbs (thai basil, culantro, sprouts) were fresh and clean when brought out. We did notice that the phở had a more beefy taste to the broth with lighter spices. Not bland, but just different from the usual. I had the bún bò huế which had lots of meat but the broth was noticeably much lighter than other restaurants. I requested additional chilli oil and they brought out satay paste, which helped a bit with the broth. I want to note that they have pork blood pudding in their bbh, which is harder to find nowadays. However, I would opt for the phở for next time I come here, since I prefer a spicier and stronger tasting bún bò huế. I also saw they were selling fried banana cakes here. I would like to try it sometime. I would return here again if I happen to be in the area. They also accommodated our peanut allergy as well.
Fried fish, without telling me, the fish was deep fried. Fried food is dangerous for me. People have recommended me to come here. This Vietnamese food was not healthy for me, and they did not inform me the Fried spontaneous negative food. I eat super healthy, Im disappointed with this restaurant I can taste the greasness between my teeth and my tongue. The taste was gross, but that greasness is lingering in my mouth, it taste very gross. Im going to bed tonight feeling disgusted. Guys, Im very careful with what I eat. Why is your fish deep fried, and why didnt your menu informed me? I want a refund, you should have informed on your menu that the fish was going to deep fried.
Amazing food, lovely staff. Their pho is hearty and delicious, highly recommend
Food is great!
My favourite Pho restaurant in KW. I always go for pork vermicelli. I want to try something new but I love the vermicelli to much.
Good choice
Pros: Very Authentic, free iced green tea, generally clean Cons: Service is meh. I was offered the worst seat (probably for dining in alone). Portions (especially for the protein) could be more generous. Chicken was not very tender. Cash or debit only (while another establishment around the corner takes credit cards) In general, average experience
Wait too long for food.
When me and my family came in the server acted all nice but she was all impatient looking and since my family was not very good with their English, so the server for some reason she ignored them and the food wait was very long I asked them when the food was ready and they STILL ignored me after around 1hour the food finally came and it was yuck (in my opinion)and worse after a little while after I was done eating my stomach started feeling weird 0/10000 would 100%Not recommend. But the atmosphere was okay and that s the only reason why it even gets rated my stomach still feels weird.
Great place for some nice Pho. And the portions are great too for the money.
The best Vietnamese pho restaurant in Canada. All menus are excellent. Especially the fried chicken wings, rice noodles, and Pad Thai are highly recommended.
Debit or cash only. We got the Bun Bo Hue, rice with pork and minced shrimp, and spring rolls. The portions were huge! Food was hot and delicious! Highly recommend the noodles and rice dishes here.
Very homey, big portions
Great prices, good quality and portion sizes - better than other places in town (including the one around the corner). Perhaps more parking now with the new Ben Thanh supermarket. Booster and high chairs available. Debit or cash only.
Best bun bo hue in the cities and very fragrant pho broth
I love the food here, I just tried it.
Amazing food, clean, and the greatest service you could ever ask for.
This place is a true gem. The bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) was phenomenal. I ve tried this dish across restaurants in Toronto and Montreal but this may be the best I ve ever had.
Cash or debit only. Service a little slow Food
I absolutely love the bun (vermicelli bowl) here.
A great stop for a mid-work day lunch! Very fast service and delicious Pho. The wraps were fresh and very good.
Com tam with fried pork so great.
I recently visited K&W Pho and had the most incredible pho experience! The broth was rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the beef was tender and juicy. The fresh herbs and bean sprouts added a delightful crunch and freshness to the dish. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. If youre looking for the best pho in town, K&W Pho is the place to go! I cant wait to come again.
My favorite place to go
Too expensive
I cant express with words how good the food is!! Just amazing!!
Best pho I ve had in Waterloo. Recommend the spring rolls!
As a Vietnamese person born and raised in KW, I am telling you that this is the only pho place that I go to now. I have been to all in this region, and this place by far has the best flavourful Pho. I also find you get the most meat too. I also recommend trying their vermicelli noodle dish with the spring roll and the shrimp paste. Their rice dish with the pork chop is good but I wish they actually used broken rice to make it more authentic! Overall the best place in KWC by far.
delicious pho and spring rolls
clean and rich broth. no msg aftertaste.
Dietary restrictions: Fresh Veggie and animal fat doesnt gain weight. Recommended dishes
Food quality is still good here just the pricing has increased due to inflation.
Very good food. very filling portions
The best pho place I have had in Waterloo. Very friendly and welcoming. Food is very fresh and has good quality. Price is very reasonable too. Love it!
Found hairs in soup, wont go back!
Food is always fresh.
It tastes like authentic Vietnamese noodles. Its refreshing and delicious. The interior is also clean. I think Ill be going there often.
You know the bun bo hue is going to be good when they bring out the cabbage.
Amazing food! Super flavourful and authentic bun bo hue and great spring rolls!
The absolute best place on town. I have been there at least 30-40 times and absolutely love it.
Authentic Vietnamese noodle. Delicious.
Im from Vietnam, lived there for 18 years. This place is the only place I recommend in all of Waterloo. Vegetarian options: There is vegan pho. Parking: There is parking near the place.
My favorite vermicelli bowl! Love the spring roll too!!!
Delicious food, fast service and good prices.
Best pho restaurant in Waterloo region atm came here multiple times and food is always good. Bring cash as it will be slightly cheaper
My go-to pho place in Kitchener! Perfect bowl of soup for lunch on cold winter days. Tastes fresh every time and the different sizes (S-L) of pho bowls are a nice option to prevent food waste.
Our go-to spot for lunches with coworkers during the week. Fast and friendly service, and great food.
This pho is one of the best in KW, great location and also cheap!
Currently one of the best places in KW if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food that hasnt jacked up the price. What I love best about them is versatility. They have a great side order menu where you can get mini-pho and the meats and toppings that you usually get on the other dishes. This makes things much more keto friendly as you can get a pho with no noodles and still order all of the stuff you miss having on your rice. Their fried shrimp paste wrapped in bean curd is my favourite side to order. Skip the springs rolls unless you like ones that are filled with taro (skimping on the meat).
The vermicelli / rice noodle dishes are great. Really flavourful and great value for your money! I keep coming back to this place, especially when I need a pick-me-up.
Tasty pho incredible prices. Love it
Prices are very reasonable, food is delicious, service is friendly, and restaurant is clean. Their Bo Kho is great
Amazing food! I recommend a fried rice with chicken.
Best Viet restaurant in KW. Won t find better/more authentic Bun Bo Hue anywhere else.
Excellent service. Delicious food.
Ive been to many different places in different countries and this is the best Pho Ive had. Portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. Staff is great. The atmosphere is pretty plain but you come here for the food and its exceptional
Delicious pho!
good pho and vermicelli noodles at a good price (although its debit and cash only)
I order 2 dishes the assorted pho and the bun bo hue. The pho was good. It taste clean and you can taste the cinnamon but a bit salty. It had all the assorted beef plus chicken ( Im not a fan of chicken in pho but that just my opinion). Cant go wrong with the pho. The bun bo hue was a stand out to me. Compare to the other places in kw their bun bo hue was lighter but still pack the same amazing taste and the topping were fall of the bone soft. The noodles in both dishes were fresh too. Clean washrooms and very spacious for a small restaurant. Staff were very attentive. Would 100% go again when Im back in KW. 8.3/10
Great service, delicious food.
very very good
This place is my favorite Vietnamese Pho restaurant, not only does the food taste like concentrated sugar at its potential, the service and Atmosphere are top tier
As my friend and I sat down we were greeted kindly and shown to our seats. When we opened the menu we found many options confused we ended up choosing 3 items. Pho, bbq beef and rice and spring rolls. When these times arrived nothing tasted good. Everything was dry, bland, flavourless. As my friend said, I don t even think they salted this ****. The pho wasn t terrible but not one of the best I had. The other two dishes were just not good. Don t recommend.
The food was great! I had pho dac biet and the soup base for the pho was amazing and delicious. The service was also great.
Good service great food for the price
Very poor customer service, they dont believe in treating customers with respect...very hostile and rude approach... never waste your time
Pathetic restaurant, never recommend not service oriented
I recently had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant and I must say it was quite a disappointing experience. My friends and I came in to reserve a spot for six people, but when we returned, they had given our table away to other guests, leaving us waiting for an additional ten minutes. The staff didnt seem very accommodating either, as they appeared impatient when we asked them about the menu. To make matters worse, the waiting time for our food was incredibly long, stretching beyond 50 minutes. It was frustrating, especially when we were feeling hungry and eager to try their dishes. Overall, the slow service and the rudeness of the staff left a negative impression on me. In the end, we regretted not trying Pho Dau Bo, which is just next door and comes highly recommended by others for its delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Perhaps, next time, well opt for the neighboring restaurant to avoid any similar disappointing experiences. Despite the disappointing service and rude staff, the only reason we decided to give this Vietnamese restaurant a try was because we had heard that their food was decent. We were hoping that the positive reviews about their dishes would outweigh the negatives in the overall dining experience. However, the slow service and impatience of the staff did put a damper on our visit. Next time, we might still consider their food, but well likely order takeout to avoid any service-related issues.
This restaurant was recommended to us by someone who appreciates good pho. Boy were they right!!!!! The food was unbelievable! Tasted like no other pho we have ever had and was well priced. Clean and bright restaurant, friendly staff, and obviously fresh ingredients. Parking near the restaurant was easy enough to find. Ill definitely be back here!
Food was delicious, came fast and they were friendly. Will be back! Parking: On a side street that connects to King and Charles so best to find parking on King Street or in the little parking lot through the alley to the right. Its the plaza with the Pho Dau Bo.
A little good
You get very good portions here at a very reasonable price. Tastes like any other decent pho restaurant. Would recommend.
The young girl gave us the worst seats and showed bad attitude when we asked for seats changing. Never come back here again.
What make a beautiful day! Its so nice to try this time of place. Thanks my friend to introduce this restaurant Food
So happy to find a great Vietnamese restaurant in Kitchener, cant go wrong with this one, everything we ordered was tasty! Will definitely come back
Positives: - The food is delicious. - The portions are large. - The service is typically fast. Negatives: - Although the dining room is always clean, this isnt typically the case with the washrooms. They need care in terms of sweeping, mopping, refilling soap dispensers, and removing the garbage daily. I question how clean the kitchen may be. - There is a child of a staff member who is typically watching programs at his computer alone in the restaurant. I couldnt help but notice multiple times that the programs were very violent. It seemed to be adult-rated content. Although this doesnt reflect on the quality of the restaurant, I have been concerned whenever I have seen it. In my opinion, his computer activity needs to be monitored, especially given that he doesnt seem socially engaged.
Delicious food. Thank you.
Food is authentic. Service is good Parking: Parking is a bit challenging especially during busy houris Food : 5/5 |
We visited this place for dinner. The food was absolutely wonderful. Service and ambience was good too. Will definitely visit and recommend this place.
Title: A Watery Disappointment Venturing into this Vietnamese establishment with hopes of a robust coffee to kickstart the day, the reality proved to be a letdown. The coffee served failed to embody the rich tradition of Vietnamese brews. Instead of a freshly made, hearty cup, I was met with a watery concoction that lacked the characteristic bold flavors. Such an experience left a bland taste, both literally and metaphorically, making it hard to muster more than a two-star rating. A coffee place should pride itself on the quality and freshness of its brew, and unfortunately, this establishment missed the mark on both counts during my visit.
Nice Vietnamese restaurant with good food and service. We showed up with a group of 18 people and they were able to accomodate us all. Personally I ordered rare beef pho and shrimp/pork fresh rolls... and loved it.
Not enough food for what they charge and if you are not Asian prepared to be served last. Left here and we are still hungry. The pho portions is tiny
Delicious food, attentive wait staff, and a clean, bright dining room. Definitely planning to return again. The size medium pho with rare beef was generous & satisfying. Street parking only, but worth it.
We got the BBQ pork and vermicelli. Generous portions for the price. Very flavourful without being too salty. We will definitely be back. Only thing to note, they dont take credit!
Great man and wife that runs this place. Really nice and hard working. Pho was beyond delicious would and plan to go again often!
Our friend group craves this place on a regular basis.
Food is good, reasonable price, nice decor. Didnt amaze me or anything, it was what I expect for a normal Vietnamese dining experience (nothing wrong with that either! Just why I didnt give it 5 stars). If you want to have a nice classic bowl of pho, come here.
Consistent quality, friendly service. Awesome food. I m a regular, and whenever we dine in they remember my order.
Ive heard a lot about this place & thought I would try it out. Spring rolls werent bad. Frozen previously, hence why the roll paper breaks like this. Shrimp salad rolls were good. Pho wasnt bad, but the soup broth itself lacked flavour. Wonton soup wasnt too bad. Loved the toasted scallions, but there was a lot of garnishes (green onions, clinatro & leaf lettuce) Will try some of their other signature traditional dishes on my next visit.
Go-to pho spot in KW! Used to come here once a week when I lived in Kitchener
Enough for the price! Good!!!
Solid choice. Fresh, balanced flavours.
Regular spot after a visit to the market. The. #18 for us
Best family owned local pho in kitchener. I use to go to pho du bao. But they were more expensive and portion was small there. Here I eat like a king big boy. Theyve got quality and quantity. And they treat me like family. I love theyre food and will come every week
Great quality for value. Highly recommend.
Real authentic very very tasty pho. They used real good meat. So far the best pho in KW area.
Delicious pho (loads of options) and a wide variety of Vietnamese drinks to try. Crunchy fried noodles and spring rolls were fine but not the star of the meal.
I come here every time Im craving Vietnamese food, which is very often. Great pho, and I especially love their vermicelli bowls. The staff are so friendly too :)
When it opened so close to another Pho place I wasnt sure it would survive... buy through the pandemic and after it has survived and thrived. The place is clean and bright and food is good.. cash and debit only though.
We liked this Pho place. Clean nice and tasty. Great portions as well. A large Pho was enough for 4 meals.
Very, very good authentic Vietnamese food. Was in Kitchener for work and found this place by accident. So glad I did. Staff is friendly and attentive. A hidden gem for sure! Try it!
Generic Vietnamese food. Large complicated menu to sort through. The iced tea I was served was refreshing.
Ive tried pho, fresh rolls, and vermicelli so far. They were all great! This is my go-to place for pho in KW. The portion is different when you dine-in compared take-out. Dine-in portions are a lot larger. Parking is very limited due to construction. Parking: Very limited due to construction. There are street parking available. 3 spots are available on the side of the building.
Beware! The prices on the online menu are lower than the restaurant prices but of course you will be curated the higher price. I ordered a a soup which was supposed to contain well done beef brisket and beef tendon, I was only given beef tendon (the cheapest). A somewhat underhanded way to make money.
I have eaten here before and it was fine. This time around the soup was very bland. Meals came out extremely slow with only 1 other table inside(already eating). Beef seems to be a lower grade cut, not the same quality as pervious visits.
Pho, Bun Bo Hue and Banana cake are good. Dont try Braised Beef.
Large helpings, good food friendly service.
Good soup
They re a bit socially awkward, but nice and respectful. Food and portions are good, would recommend.
Favourite pho place Ive tried so far in Waterloo Region!
My best friend bought the BBH bring to Toronto for me a couple days ago.. Today I am actually bring it out from the refrigerator and Microwave it.. i have to give u 5 stars The taste is very excellent and the price very reasonable..
By far one of my favorite restaurants in KW, if not Ontario. Im big on veggies and theirs are always fresh and delish. Also very reasonably priced and fast, friendly service. Thanks for what you do!
Amazing classic Vietnamese food. Its the kind of place where the owner does the cooking and his kids do school work at an empty table. For pho it doesnt get any more legit than that.
Excellent pho and spring rolls.. Clean environment.. The wait time was a bit long.. Food : 5/5
Hands down this place has the best bun bo hue. Ive tried numerous bun bo hue in the GTA and NONE of them compares to the one served here. If I can rate this place more than 5 stars, I would. Their pho and spring rolls are excellent as well. Friendly and efficient service.
Best Pho in the area. Generous portions, fair pricing and friendly staff. Secret menu item: Ask for the Pho spicy
Great food, very friendly people, the online menu is a bit confusing but if you want a great price for really great food this place is hard to beat.
Very clean restaurant, great Pho and open on Christmas Day.
First time trying. Will definitely be back. Really fresh, big portions and put together really beautifully for a take out meal!
Wow! Great food. Highly recommend. My new spot phosure!
the pho could be better
They never disappoint. Always great tasting authentic food. Our favourite is Bun Bo Hue (Hue style beef noodle soup)
Great food. Clean restaurant. Everything as expected.
Best pho in the KW area. Staff is always very friendly and efficient.
Hidden gem run by the sweetest family. They are attentive and have good variety (pho, beef stew, vermicelli bowls, smoothies). Start with a hot or cold tea which they offer depending on the weather. Dine in is always pleasant. Takeout is an easy process - call ahead and itll be ready in 20 minutes for pickup.
Try the bbq beef vermicelli bowl!
I go here 2-3 times a month, I always order number 50 or 53 and have never been disappointed. Their pad thai is also amazing! Great portions and the spring rolls are the best in kitchener!
Good portions. The soup in pho lacking a little salty beefy good taste.
Food very good and good service
I strongly recommend banana cake!
I would gladly recommend this restaurant to any pho lovers in the area. Clean environment, good portions, fresh ingredients, and excellent customer service. Hard to find parking in downtown Kitchener, but definitely worth it.
Bland soup beef with good portion.
Probably the best Vietnamese in KW area. We had vermicelli with bbq pork and spring roll and Hue style noodle and both were fantastic. The bean spouts and cabbage served with our food were so fresh. Parking spots are limited but there are some spots for street parking on King street.
Excellent and great value for the money!
Really tasty and great portion sizes for the price
Service good food excellent specially the Vietnamese soups.
Good food & nice staffs, affordable prices.
Got here as they opened. Food is great, the portions are big. The young man was such a great help communicating with his mom. 100% Will be back here. Would bring more ppl with me if I could too.
The food was very good and fresh, the service friendly. it was nice to eat in a bright and clean environment.
Home-style gourmet cuisine, I ordered a grilled chicken with steamed rice and a beef soup with rice noodles. The takeout service was good, and the meal was good. I would recommend it.
Great pho! Fast & delicious.
Great Ph !
Best Vietnamese in town hands down. The rich broth and fresh ingredients are fantastic.
Perfect Food taste amazing and staff also best of the best)
Excellent services, the food portions are amazing, delicious flavors, reasonable price.
Best pho joint in downtown Kitchener. The broth is authentic and very flavourful. Portions are pretty good too.
Delicious pho soup! Large portions and great service
First time here. Large menu selection. Food was hot and tasty. Nothing special that stood out about this place. Would go back for a quick meal.
Wanted to get here for a while now as it was recommended by another local foodie. We did take out and really enjoyed the Bun bo hue and bun thit noung as well as a pair of fried springrolls. Only downside was that i could not easily find a menu online so had to go inside to order.
Authentic and nice portion with great ingredients.
Pho with rare beef was good, standard food. Shrimp rolls have very little shrimp. Unseasoned and unbalanced with too much greens. Very plain and a bit disappointing.
Love their pho!
