Beautiful place, very nice exciting vibe. I got the beef rib dish and it came out cold so send back and they made another dish quickly and comped me, even though I pushed back and offered to pay. Great service.

We had dinner here recently.. food was good! The apps are delicious! But the mains are WAY TO BIG for one person. I had chicken parm and it was the size I would feed four people. No joke. I would rather they cut the size more than in half and charge less their must have been a full pound of pasta under my chicken and although it tasted good, it was almost a turn off after having apps. I would have appreciated the server warning us you guys had a lot of apps, so please know the mains are very big portions . We would have probably just shared a main but I get it, businesses want to make money but we would have preferred a warning. Her tip wouldn t change .. actually maybe improved because of her honestly that we didn t waste food which is dire these days. The food is good I enjoyed the Brie and everyone enjoyed their app. Next time we will have apps or a main and share the main cause they are massive.. again, I would cut the main in half and charge less.

Fantastic meal, service and atmosphere. The calamari and bruschetta apps were delicious, chicken Alfredo main was exceptional. The guitarist played amazing music, set a great atmosphere.

The very first thing you will notice is that this place is tiny. Very limited seating so you need to book in advance. Which we did for 2 people 2 weeks in advance. In town for a special occasion. When we entered there were four empty booths to the right of the door, bar seating and one table to the left of the door with a seated party of 24 loud people already eating beside the table. When we asked about the booths they said they were already reserved. (All reserved 2 weeks ago?). As you can see from other reviews service not very good. Food is average and overpriced.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars and a heartfelt THANK YOU! Our son and his beautiful bride chose Rustico as their wedding venue and the results couldnt have been more perfect. Rustico is a gem of a place. The Owners are fabulous and invested in providing the best atmosphere, service and food. They helped make the day so wonderful. We were able to take over the restaurant around closing on Friday night. We rearranged and added our decorations to the already great backdrop. The patio made for an exceptional location for the ceremony and the weather allowed for us to use both the indoor and outdoor space. Guests were able to move around. Food was plentiful, hot, fresh and the variety of cocktail hour appetizers was unmatched by any other venue I have been to. Dinner was in-house, hand stretched pizzas and the dessert buffet didnt last long. If you go for dinner order the donuts for dessert! The restaurant staff were welcoming and ensured everyone felt seen - from the bar to the food, to clean up and a special order for a gluten-free guest. They were so accommodating. They worked with other vendors (chairs, flowers, DJ, Officiant) and we were welcome to come back today to pick up any remaining items. All in all 100 out of 10! If you are looking for a venue to hold an intimate wedding - look no further!

Our grandson had his wedding on Saturday the 19th, everything was wonderful, cocktails and horsdourves , the food kept coming , the staff were great The restaurant accommodated everyone, was such a beautiful day the ceremony was outside on the great patio We have had dinner there previously and would recommend this restaurant

Have always had a great experience at Rustico. Went again tonight with a foodie group Tri City Food Ninjas and we filled the inside of the restaurant. The wait staff and kitchen were amazing and kept everything coming out in good time and delicious as ever. Five stars for this place

Our group of six women were treated to great service, food, and atmosphere. We sat on the patio and were not rushed, but able to really enjoy our evening. I had the bruschetta pizza which was wonderful. Samantha was our server and she made us feel very welcome. I ve visited this restaurant several times and it s always amazing. The gluten free options mean no one is left out.

Just back from first dinner at Rustico along with friends. I was so disappointed! They had pizzza that arrived burnt black. Our dinner was good veal Parmesan and beef stroganoff. Service was extremely slow. The place was so noisy we couldn t converse. So slow to pay the bill that we had to leave cash (we had intended to use a card)

Absolute worst service I ve ever had. Our waitress Rachal is super condescending, rude and unwelcoming. Felt like we were a burden for asking for second round of drinks and like we were being rushed out the door because she was too busy for us. Spoke down to my elderly mother because she struggled to read the menu in the dim lighting. Rachal seemed miserable and her attitude towards us showed it.

We were just in the area and were looking for a place with a patio. It was very busy and we din t get a patio but the food made up for it. Ordered Brushetta, Diavolo pizza(must try if you like spice and flavour). The dessert was crème brûlée and each dish was better than the other. Service was very attentive and fast in spite of the rush. Would highly recommend trying the place

We were a party of 5 and went there for lunch. The food was amazing. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza and it was delicious. It was welldone and I really liked it. They have so many food options so I will be definitely visiting this again. Shoutout to our server as well! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options- like salads, sandwiches that can be customized and pizzas!

We sat on the patio, which is lush with plants and grape vines growing above part of the seating area. The food is very good here, especially the appetizers, which make it a nice place for friends and Wine Wednesday. I only wish the interior was more inviting with an Italian or Mediterranean vibe. It is pretty plain jane and reminds me of the old seafood place that used to be there. If you are looking for very good pasta and great, friendly service, this is a great place to go.

Food is decent nothing to rave about. Wine menus could be better as it s pretty basic but all in all it was ok. The reason for the 1 star is the poor greeting right at the door before being seated and the poor attitude from Samantha. Right from we were seated she just isn t a friendly person. Not a great host and def not a friendly waitress. My whole mood was thrown off from her greeting at the door. She just doesn t give you a warm and welcoming feeling. Sort of like she doesn t want to see us in there. I don t know what it was about us that she didn t like but due to her unfriendly vibe we won t return and just couldn t look past her to enjoy our meals.. We are weekly regulars at Ennios and decided to try something new. Don t get me wrong this place has a nice atmosphere and decent food but the server really left a poor taste in our mouths. Not impressed. As a server you are to make your guests feel welcome and comfortable. Don t act like you re forcing yourself to be decent. We go out three times a week. Service always takes precedence over anything else. People want to feel welcomed and appreciated. She made us feel like we were begging to eat here and weren t good enough for her to serve us properly. We usually tip 20 to 30 percent. Let me tell you I forced my basic tip out because I didn t have the heart to leave her what I wanted. She just isn t a nice person and you can tell. Or maybe you have to look a certain way to get her respect. Don t judge a book by its cover miss. You never know who your serving and it shouldn t matter anyways. If you want to work in hospitality then learn to be hospitable period. Service 0, food, 3, atmosphere 4. Won t return due to waitress. My advice to the owners of this place do not let Samantha greet guests at the door and try to train her on customer service and how to make people feel welcome and appreciated. I know it s hard to find staff so training is crucial. Basic customer service with a smile. Not forced fake smiles with attitude and chips on their shoulders. I mean maybe this isn t the right profession for her . Just a thought. Thanks

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff and owner at Rusticos were amazing and accomodating. The food was some of the best you will taste in the KW Region with special acknowledgement to the Arancini, the mussels (both tomato and pesto) and the Short Rib Beef Gnocchi. This place is an absolute must. We will be back very soon. Thanks again for making the day that much more special

Great Itslian food.

Saturday 18 May 2024. Placed a take order at 605pm. Was told it would be ready at 635pm. Arrived at 630pm and pizzas were placed on counter by the chefs. Servers walked by and paid no attention to me standing at the door. At 640pm and walked over and grabbed my order and asked where I could pay for them. Then stood at bar for few more minutes waiting to pay. Again ignored by 2 people behind the bar. Pizzas were now barely warm. Very poor customer service. $48 dollars well wasted.

Great place for dining. Food is great. The evening we were there it was very busy and to capacity. The place was quite noisy from everyone talking and raising their voices to be heard. I have been to the outside patio which is really great on a nice evening during the summer.

Enjoyed an excellent evening out with my wife. Loved the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. The mussels were amazing and probably the best from recent memory. The pasta was good although my wife enjoyed her chicken a little more than I enjoyed the veal. Prices were reasonable although bottles of wine were a bit more then I would have liked. Service was very good. Im sure we will be back.

We were there for a large birthday party and the restaurant provided a prix fixe menu for the group. The food was very, very good. I had the veal parmesan and it was a pork chop sized piece of veal that was delicious and tender. Generous amount of shaved parm and spaghetti. Goat cheese and berry mixed greens salad and a double chocolate brownie to round the meal out. Service from Rachel was great, and props to the kitchen for putting out 26 covers at once and doing it well. All of the entree options delighted our group. Rustico keeps getting better.

Cute little place, delicious pizza, quick service

It was our first time and went to celebrate my birthday. We had the spinach dip to start. It was so creamy and delicious and served with fresh tasting foccacia and ciabatta. I had the seafood arabiatta for my meal and my partner had their pepperoni pizza. The serving sizes were generous and we both thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress was excellent. She was very busy with tables, take out orders and drinks at the bar but never made us feel forgotten. We will be back!

Had a wonderful experience here for dinner. I went on a Monday and the special was to buy two entrees and get a free appetizer. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. I will definitely be coming back!

The food and the service are always good at Rustico. We were just disappointed with the atmosphere for Valentines Day. There wasnt much to indicate that it was a special day and to retract from the atmosphere, there was supposed to be live music and it didnt happen. I felt slighted since I picked the 14th when I could have just as easily booked for the next day when there was live music. Next time!

Very very cute,cozy warm spot for some good Italian food. The portions are great, the food tastes fresh. We got Pizzas, Pastas, Salads, Coffee and Desserts and everything was delicious and super filling! Would highly recommend! Server was so nice and service was super fast. For my first time here, the experience was not great. We were a group of 7. We asked for an extra minute to order which turned into the server not coming back to the table for quite some time. It was my birthday, I specifically pointed to the mushroom and goat cheese pizza on the right side of the menu when ordering and was given a pasta. This was disappointing. The pasta was fine but not what I ordered. We had plans after so I said whatever, Id eat the pasta. It took quite a while to arrive so I didnt want to hold everyone up if they made me what I actually ordered. Just not a great first impression. Restaurant was cute and had a decent vibe. Everyone loved the donuts!

Please update your hours on your door, socials, website. Won t be trying to support this business again, waste of time.

This place is a best kept secret in Kitchener. Its a quaint place with a comfy atmosphere. Food is excellent as is the service. They have a lovely patio to enjoy and relax at. Theres a special lunch menu too.

First time to Rustico s tonight. Was with my family for a early birthday celebration. As a vegan, I expect to eat basic this at most Italian restaurants. But tonight I was pleasantly surprised on how accommodating the staff and restaurant was. My mother and father had called to see if they had options for me which they did but I gave them free reign with my meal and it was awesome. The pizza was delicious they even have vegan cheese and even offered to make a special Alfredo sauce for the pizza. The staff were unbelievably helpful and super positive. The staff even brought me a birthday dessert on the house tonight which was vegan a raspberry gelato with housemaid donuts It was amazing. This is the kind of place that I will go to forever because they are just amazing there and the food was delicious. Thank you guys for doing such an amazing job and making my night awesome I will definitely be back. Update February 4 2023 Again, I love this place. Amazing food and staff. So accommodating. I can t thank them enough. Have been back a few times and just had to post a update. You can tell the love they have for food. Enjoy!!! Dietary restrictions: Sooo accommodating, for vegans! My husband and I had dinner here recently to celebrate his birthday and had a terrific experience! We ordered the arancini and crispy ravioli for our starters and the stuffed portobello and seafood arabiatta for our entrées. Everything was delicious and the portions were a good size - not so small that we left hungry and not so big that we were stuffed to the brim and still had some left to take home. The service was excellent too. Our server was attentive without stifling us and got our food out to us at a good pace. We didnt feel rushed and had time to enjoy each course, our drinks, and conversation. We had a wonderful evening and are looking forward to returning, especially during summer when their patio will be open.

Wow. For myself, this is the best pizza in KW. I previously had only had it delivered. But then my wife and I had dinner there, and it is truly amazing pizza. The dough is amazing. The sauce is great and the cook that they get on the pizza is delicious.

Update: Ive since started returning to the restaurant because it feels like the type of atmosphere you would expect when you go out to eat on vacation, however, its only blocks away from hom . We took a large group there and the service was fast and excellent. We had a dedicated server and everyone was happy. The food is so good and the atmosphere really nice. One of the better Italian places in KW. They also have amazing dairy free cheese and gluten free crusts if you need it. Vegetarian options: Yummy veggie pizzas. Dietary restrictions: They have the best vegan cheese on pizza I ve ever had. Also the gluten free crust was pretty decent. Parking: Free and close by.

Great food, great atmosphere love their music choices, food wait can take a little long but, it is so worth it. The staff are very polite and helpful. It was empty when we got there (2-3 other tables) and we waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. 3 other tables were served similar meals that arrived after us. During that time our server was barely present and didnt seem concerned. Used to be great but we probably wont be back. Excellent patio vibes and good food regardless of the service and wait.

Amazing! Stopped in for an impromptu dinner out after a memorial & was so impressed. Spinach dip was served with melt in your mouth freshly sliced baguette & the spinach & cheese spread was rich with great quality cheese, perfectly warmed & creamy. Our entrées were spectacular! We had the braised short rib gnocchi & veal parmigiano. Spectacular! Perfectly cooked, easily recognized fresh ingredients & made fresh to order. Pillowy gnocchi, luchious sauce, meaty rich tasting ribs, fresh al dente noodles, authentic tomato sauce & melt in your mouth veal parm - all garnished with generous shavings of great quality Parmigiano. Cant say enough about our meals. As a home chef & organic gardener, it a was a remarkable experience to have such care & quality in a dinner out. Service was top notch - friendly, attentive & took care of every need. It was also a true pleasure to watch the Chefs work their magic in the open kitchen. Will be back Very soon to dine again. Taylor was a friendly, attentive Server who added to the enjoyment of our lunch with her pleasant & helpful service. Our burgers were delicious and the side french fries were chunky and crisp, followed by a creme brulé and coffees to finish off. The patio was open and typically a wonderful retreat, but we stayed inside where it was cool.

Lovely patio for lunch with a friend. We split the peach prosciutto pizza and berry goat cheese salad. It was nice not to be given a hassle about splitting food. Lots of umbrella tables for shade on a hot day.

Quaint little restaurant that serves a nice choice of real Italian dishes. The hand stretched pizza with what I would consider Italian toppings like bocconcini, prosciutto and arugula is more of a soft crust pizza than crusty thin, with nice amount of tomato sauce. Pasta was cooked to utter perfection . Put this place on your must try list. Vegetarian options: Mushroom and caramelized onion penne is so good!

Both my pasta (penne) and my wifes (spaghetti they called spaghettini) were both soft to soggy. Im OK with the new $24 price for simple pasta with bolenese sauce, but I do expect my pasta to be served al dente (firm). We might try the pizza next time, as it looked good. Food

We brought 2 families of 5 here on a Saturday evening. That s 4 adults and 6 kids We all had amazing meals at very reasonable prices. Kids portions were so generous and they loved their choices for dessert. The server was so great with us and our kids. Would definitely recommend for families!

We had Rustico recommended to us by a friend, and we were not disappointed. We sat on their beautiful and cozy patio with lots of choices for sun or shade. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding. This is our new go to place for fine Italian dining. I would highly recommend Rustico Kitchen and Bar for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Meatballs starters are good. Good quality food. Rates on little higher end. Portions were small, not much garlic bread was given, no sides with appetizers but felt traditional Italian food.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant. From the amazing and friendly staff, to the absolutely delicious food (and not overly expensive at all) this is a restaurant I will be coming to frequently! 5 big stars

My husband bday. Party of 5. 2 had the special, 2 Chicken Parm, 1 Chicken Alfredo. ALL LOVED the food. GREAT server. Awesome atmosphere with a guitar player. Already talking about what to try the NEXT time we go. Made an off menu appetizer for my husband that he had tried in Mount Tremblant at an Italian restaurant. It was also a HIT!

It s never disappointed! Always fresh local delicious menu options and drinks. Service is wonderful and the owner Simon is always out supporting so many community initiatives. It s our families favourite spot and we can t imagine a Kitchener without Rustico. A few of our favourite dishes: garlic and prosciutto pizza, caprese salad, chicken parm and fried ravioli

Just a lovely restaurant. My main go to is the pizza but the pomadora sauce is fantastic as well. Staff is friendly and the cocktails are nice for sipping.

Erin gave us the best service we ever had at a restaurant. I love eating at places where people offer food with a smile. I will definitely be coming back for more and recommending the experience to everyone I know. Been here once but enjoyed the experience quite a bit. Excellent service and food. Just wish the patio was facing the parking lot and not the loud road.

The food was pretty good and the service was great. My wife was given a free dessert because she was celebrating her birthday, so we appreciated that. The pizza was honestly a little underwhelming for an Italian restaurant. It wouldve been okay for a typical bar/restaurant, but Id expect something a little nicer from an Italian place. It was also a bit noisy with practically every table celebrating something, and an incredibly loud table of drunken women behind us, so dont expect a quiet, romantic dinner here.

Was really excited to try and was extremely disappointed with the experience. They did not prepare the order before the Uber driver arrived. I ordered the pappardelle and they used linguine noodles instead. Luckily the pizza was good which is why I gave a three star. I wish I got the experience this restaurant is known for.

Parking: Parking is spacious

Delicious gnocchi!! We attended during Covid, so we were only able to sit on the patio but the food was very good and large in portion size! There was tons of beef in the braised beef gnocchi and equally as much (if not more) chicken in the chicken gnocchi. The ambiance and music is very charming and it felt very nice to eat here. The wait staff was friendly, it took a bit of time to get food but it is understandable during these times.

Great food! We did it as a date night before our trip and it was worth it!

We had a private event here and the staff were super friendly and food was delicious.

The food was good, the servers were very friendly but it took almost 2 hours to get our food!!! Totally UNACCEPTABLE. We were there for a birthday celebration. I had invited a group of 15 which they knew about days beforehand. It was embarassing to have to sit there for that long. The happy mood that we started with ended increasingly irritated and astonished that it took soooo long to get our food. I will never go there again and I daresay the others feel the same.

Recenty I visited Rustico with a group of friends for a late lunch. We sat outside on the patio and were served a delicious meal. Calamari was excellent. The service was timely but not rushed. We will be back again. Chris S

Nice, quaint restaurant with great food. The Vegetable Penne Pasta and Margherita pizza were especially good! Prices are also fair for the quality of the food.

Ive dined in here plenty of times before and had a great time in the lovely atmosphere with wonderful food and friends. Last night, we ordered in and chose the pesto penne with added chicken and a walnut strawberry salad. The portions were fantastic, the taste was exceptional and the customer service when I walked in was top notch. I highly recommend Rustico if your looking for flavorful and high quality Italian food.

was super hopeful for this spot! such endearing ambience. went in the middle of the day, was not busy- but felt like our waitress was rushing us out :( food lacked flavour despite priciness. we ordered one meal to share, two drinks, and the bill came to $80 ..

Love this place...definitely one of my favourite restaurants. The braised beef gnocchi is amazing, but the main attraction is Thursday 6-8pm Juneyt playing flamenco music...hes incredible. Thanks staff for all your kindness too

The experience was good, we were the only ones with hoodies though Starting with starters, Arancini was very good with some good Parmesan cheese garnish on top and flavorful arabiatta sauce. We also ordered fries, which were in-house cut and nice Mains, vegetable pesto Penne was a little bland, I wish it had a little more flavor. If you dont like sour, then Mediterranean pizza is not for you, it had olives, sun dried tomatoes and also feta cheese...sour....sour...sour Overall nice food, I would definitely go there once in a while. Wait..wait... I got a little virgin river jacks bar vibes here just a little

My pasta was watery and had 0 flavour... Not the best, would not recommend. Server was very nice tho!

The pasta was disappointing and lacked a lot of flavour. I took the mushroom goat cheese penne and the cheese was the only flavour saviour. However, the service was great.

Our server Taylor did an excellent job on a very busy night! Always wonderful at Rustico.
