Must be new owners, we were there for a comedy show on Saturday and left halfway through because the service was absolutely terrible.

Did ownership change??? This place use to be great, the service was atrocious and I cant comment on the gmfood because we didnt even receive it.

We were there the other night and they cut my boyfriend off after 2 1oz drinks over 1.5 hours and he didnt drink before we got there. I dont understand the rules because they have 3 oz cocktails on the menu???? So you can order 1 3 oz drink but you cant order 3 x 1 oz drinks over 1.5 hours???? The service was terrible I dont understand what happened to this place???

Servers were rude to my boyfriend and so incompetent. It wasnt just us either the whole place was in disbelief of how the staff were treating people. Trying to order food and drinks was nearly impossible

We attended a comedy show there tonight .and the service was dreadful :(. We waited one hour and 20 mins for one drink and they forget to order our food. When we asked to order another drink, while we waited for the food reorder - they said we were cut off because we had too many drinks already . It was definitely a bizarre experience. I do not suggest/recommend going there unless the management changes.

Ordered a Montreal smoked meat poutine. The meat was some of the fattiest, grisliest meat Ive ever had. Had to pick most of it out, it was disgusting.

How sad how the quality of this place has gone down, I went about 6 months ago and I thought it was very good.... But today it was a disaster, the burger was missing, no flavor and no sauce, and I ordered a pizza and they brought me burnt, the place has fallen into disrepair. less

The food was superb and the service was excellent. I asked for a room temp drink for my mom and the waitress made sure to get us one. The portions were decent and we had alot left to take home.

Hi! Definitely check this place out, cool location, delicious potatoes for thier fries, fun vibe w a little city patio outside. Fries werent super hot but were yummie with a delicious but subtle seasoning. Kind of hidden but worth the trek.

Didnt take any pics, but the food was very good. I got the double smash burger special. Poutine was great. They have the best gravy in the game. The burger itself was great. I didnt love the bun, but thats a personal preference, I guess! For $15 bucks, I honestly dont think this place can be beat for a sit down burger and poutine. It was dinner on a Sunday and it was completely empty. No clue why its so quiet! More people should head to this location!

I used to order from them in the past and their pizzas were delicious and fresh. Unfortunately tonight my pizza tastes like frozen grocery store pizza that has that cardboard after taste. Sorry but not worth 20 bucks.

Its really sad to make this post. Weve gone to the Crazy Canuck since they opened. So excited to head there tonight! We picked them out of so many other dtk restaurants. It wasnt busy, there was only 1 server and the food was not cooked or prepared like it used to be. Such a shame and we wont be going back. Dan is an amazing server, but he cant run the show on his own! New owners took this place to its grave.

Ate here for the first time tonight. Kids got the burger/poutine/pop combo, and hubby and I split the donair poutine and apple pulled pork pizza. Poutine was outstanding. The pizza was not. A very blah hard dough with no flavor. The pizza was over broiled on the verge of burnt. The kids liked their burger/poutine. The fries had an excellent flavor, and cheese and toppings were very generous on the poutine. It was huge!. Service was good-- we were the only ones inside the restaurant. Definitely recommend poutine of some kind....it was the best.

Once the restaurant was located within the labyrinth, it was excellent. A hidden gem for sure. The food was excellent, and the service was 5 star. The atmosphere is what it is, an eclectic mix of wall hangings in an oddly shaped floorplan. Would recommend and will be back again.

Tried to go here to get some food and it was way too difficult to find the place... Like the GPS just brings you outside of this building that you cant enter... They need to work on figuring out how to make it easier to get to them or something... By the sounds of some the reviews their food isnt good anymore anyways.

Ive been ordering from both Crazy Canuck locations since their inception. Rarely, if ever, had an issue until the past year or so. Quality has gone severely downhill. Last order was this week. Delivered through Uber Eats. No issue with delivery. Major issues with food quality. I ordered my usual - the DTK Poutine, and a burger. The burger was acceptable. The DTK poutine was missing the onions, peppers, chicken, bacon, and sauce. I have included a pic of this order of DTK Poutine along with a pic of the same item from October 2022. Not only were ingredients missing, but the quality and care are former shadows. I contacted the restaurant to address the discrepancies, and Jag, the manager, provided a canned reply, which also addressed me by an incorrect name. Long story short, he offered a refund but didnt actually follow through with it in any way. Purely lip service. They did nothing to rectify an item that was missing the majority of its components. If youre charging a premium, offer a premium product. If you cant offer a premium product, at the very least, your product should match the description you provide. Again, Ive ordered from Crazy Canuck dozens of times in the past. However, the severe decline in quality of recent orders, along with poor customer service has led me to boycott the Crazy Canuck going forward. Buyer beware. This isnt the same restaurant it once was.

I love poutine but the gravy was too salty and I generally like salty food. I gave this place two tries and both times the same so that was disappointing. I did like their burger though!

The place is a bit hard to find. You have to go into the tower and take a right! The burger I had was small but very tasty. The poutine was good. Music was great.

Order their food on skip the dishes. Called prior to ordering to ask a question and found staff very kind and very friendly. Ordered the following the Montreal smoke meat sandwich, the Halifax garlic fingers and the bold bbq brisket poutine. The Halifax garlic finger delicious a larger order and could easily feed many. The donair sauce is authentic however a little sweet for my preference. However the garlic finger are good with and without it. The Montreal meat sandwich amazing probably the best I have had in Kitchener. Lots of meat, thick bread and the overall flavour so good. The bold bbq brisket poutine - sigh :( this is where the meal went down hill for me the poutine was DRENCHED in bbq sauce and gravy making the fries a soggy mess. The smell and taste of the bbq sauce was off putting and overall sour. The fries had a lot seasoning which when combined with the bbq sauce made the smell worse and taste unpleasant. Personally would not recommend, the poutine :/

Went on a whim. The reviews looked good, actually really good. I ordered a basic burger, side poutine and pepsi. Atmosphere was cool and the Antique market attached was an added bonus. The staff here, the one young male here, was friendly and accommodating. The $$ sign rating should be higher. This is NOT a cheap sit down. The burger was over peppered, dry and difficult to finish. The poutine was watery for some reason. Not cool. The Pepsi was cold and refreshing. At $27, I will not be returning again. I took leftover poutine home. It got tossed the next day. The prices are ridiculously overzealous. The food mediocre at best. The reviews dont reflect my experience at all. It was okay.

Once in a while, we get the DDK poutines - our love of poutine started from here years ago, and nobody beats this place for us. Even when/if we leave Ontario, DDK and Crazy Canuck will remain in our sweet memories of exceptionally delicious poutine.

Easy to miss as it s in a building that looks like a nondescript boring office building, but easiest way to find it is look for the big light up sign that says Cinema! Food was delicious and menu offers lots of unique and fun variations on classics like burgers, pizza, and poutines. I definitely want to go back and try more items. I had the curry and goat cheese poutine and it was delicious and the fries were SO CRISPY AND PERFECT! My friend had the crazy Canuck burger and loved it. We went on a Saturday night and apparently they have comedy nights then so almost of the restaurant seating was reserved, so you might not get sat right away if you re a walk in. But if you make a reservation or go on a non-comedy night you re golden.

Service was terrible! After an hour wait we were told the order hadn t even been put through. Our guests also received the wrong order along with raw dough garlic fingers. Honestly don t know what the hype is about!

The food was really yummy!! The staff were also very friendly, found us a spot really quickly and checked in on us during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking. As a Montrealer I was pretty impressed with their poutine; tasty gravy and they legit get their cheese curds from Lac-Mégantic, which is a nice touch! You need that squeaky cheese! This place is a must-try if you re looking for a casual restaurant in the neighborhood with hearty food and good ambience. :)

Food feels a bit hit and miss, BFs burger was good the first time so we both took burger the second time, but they were both not good, the patty was too firm, bread was cold and the overall burgers were not very flavorful.

My boyfriend and I have never been here before and always heard great things, and we were not disappointed! We both got poutines (mine regular and my bf got the crazy canuck poutine) and they delicious. The portions are HUGE, and the price is fair! Liam was an awesome & super personable. I would highly recommend trying this place out!

This place is great. Good food we had burger and a pizza. A couple of beers. The service was excellent. Once your inside you find they have a stage. The Rusty Nail comedy club. We had a great laugh with some awesome comedians. We will be back.

They catered my buddies wedding so I had been waiting for my next trip to KW to check it out. The building its in looks like its out the 80s which I think adds to it in some way. We went and got lunch; I got the brisket sandwich and my wife got the Greek poutine. The food was otherworldly, service was great and I cant wait to come back for another sandwich.

The nostalgic feel, and memorabilia made this an awesome stop for my wife and I. It was our first, but definitely not our last. The poutine was amazing, and did have a French canadian feel to it. We will be back.

Dined in earlier today, my husband and I ordered the confit wings, best burger in town and Friday s special fish & chips. The burger and wings were okay. Unfortunately the fish and chips were waaaaay too greasy. I had to soak up the extra grease from the fish and got two serviettes fully soaked with grease. However the service was good. Overall I d say out experience were a little bit of a let down.

Me and my partner have been here 3 times now for the rusty nail comedy show. The only thing that brings us here, is the comedy show itself. We quickly learned that they often forget what customers order, or does not have sections properly distributed to remember that customers are even there. This is 3 times, not just one bad experience.

The DTK Poutine is a tri-city treasure! I would highly suggest anyone looking for poutine to give them a try!

How can you charge $17 for a hotdog what is wrong with you

I was there today for a food delivery order pickup, the person at the front(I guess her name was Anna), was very rude. Firstly, she just ignored me for a very long time. The order pickup time was 1:25 I was there for my order at the right time, she said that the order is gonna take atleast 15 more minutes, I said ohk no problem, then when I asked her again after 15 mins, she said its still gonna a really long time, I asked is that a big order, she said no we are busy, but there were like maybe 2 more customers. She also said if you wanna leave you can. This was really disrespectful to the delivery drivers, this shows her bad customer service.

I will never go back there. Anna is so rude. She rolled her eyes at me because I dared to ask if there was cutlery in the bag. Owner is a D-bag.

My two boys and I tried The Crazy Canuck for the first time. We got two burgers and my youngest ordered the poutine. Everything was delicious, and the service was really good. The place is kind of sketchy but it IS an old building so I kind of get it. But it was overall clean and tasty. We ll come back again for sure.

That by far was the best poutine.Ive ever had in my life....was incredible! Cant wait to go back there to try more food an check out there comedy night! The owner Liam was a super awesome guy, thats a dope little place!

The food here is great and the portions are HUGE. The owner was super friendly and told us they do live comedy shows between lockdowns. Based on the pictures on his walls of previous shows it seems like it would be fun and I look forwards to going back for that.

Great atmosphere and attentive service, even when setting up for a big event. Poutine portions were very generous! I had the crazy Canuck poutine (2 ribs and pulled pork) and only got half way through. Very good value for under $15. We will be back.

From my 9 year old Best restaurant ever. I love the poutine and the music. If I could give it more stars I would. Lots of natural light and outdoor seating available in warm weather.

I have lived for 20 years and never eaten a poutine as good as this, presentation absolutely blew me away as well. For the price you pay, its hard to not give 5 stars. Im from London Ontario, but i will definitely be dining here again!!!

Its a very cozy little place close to downtown Kitchener, with very friendly staff. They have a limited menu, only doing burgers, pizzas, and poutines for the most part. The poutine section is mouthwatering!! We got the Buffalo tuscan poutine and while the fries were absolute bomb, the spicy buffalo chicken is a little too salty. The dish still tastes amazing though. I recommend a side of their fresh house salad for a filling meal. We also got a side of curry sauce (couldn t decide between choices of poutine) , and that was so delicious!! Wish we had ordered the curry poutine instead, please try it if you go.

Definitely more of a dive spot for drinks, grub and live music. They have decent food specials with interesting pizza choices like taco or donair. Dont come here if youre looking for a healthy meal, but do if youre looking for something tasty.

As part of our bachorlette night we decided to get tickets to this weird little pizza basement and it was fantastic. Not only was the food absolutely incredible, and the atmosphere super intimate and cozy, but the staff in its entirety were amazing, and very interactive. The best was how hard we laughed at the comedians, we honestly laughed about several things they said all over again this morning. We will definitely go back. If youre looking for a fun Saturday night, thats different than the norm, I would highly recommend the CC

Liam and the team at The Crazy Canuck catered our wedding and did an amazing job of the whole production. They provided beer, appetizers, dinner and a poutine bar at the end of the night and everything was perfect. Throughout the whole process, Liam was accommodating through multiple reschedules because of COVID and even brought out a mini-version of the meal on our original wedding date to try and make the day a little more special. I cant praise the team enough and HIGHLY recommend them for catering events or even just a casual bite to eat. You wont be disappointed. Thanks for everything!

I was in town for work and decided to try this place after seeing reviews online. It was so unassuming, a bit hard to find from the street. However once I got in, the staff were so friendly and helpful, they recommended a double smash burger and I got poutine with it. The burger was phenomenal, the patty had such good flavour! Fries good classic cut/cook and nice squeaky cheese curds. I highly recommended this place for a quick and great meal. I ll try something else next time for sure.

We had a pulled pork on a bun and the quinoa burger... Both were very good. Excellent value for money here...the quality and options are better than other pubs downtown and at the same (or better) price point. The patio is a hidden gem. Amazing laid back, casual feel with good comfort food...cant go wrong!

My husband organized a surprise 40th birthday celebration for me here. The owner was so attentive and lovely, the server was amazing and the food! I cant say enough about how delicious it was! Our party of 10 didnt have one complaint. We will be going back for sure and I will be recommending this place to everyone!

Employees were very friendly and helpful with directions, which would make me come back. However, the burger was really dry. I was a few minutes late picking up so maybe they were keeping it warm and it dried out. The fries were good though.

I have gone to The crazy Canuck a couple of times and every time the food has been amazing. I would highly recommend going. Great relaxed environment. The last time I went, I was by myself and the employees were great. We talked for a bit which was nice. Also, on Thursdays JP (Magician) comes to the restaurant and entertains the seated customers with some cool tricks.

Had the Halifax donait pizza and garlic fingers on sat great food really enjoyed it mw an my family will be back ty.

First time trying this place out and it was great! Greek Buffalo Tuscan poutine was a little too salty, but we loved the burger (massive) and Canuck bread and dip. They even threw in a complimentary apple fritter dessert!

Love it! The atmosphere and the food are great! Sadly I couldnt enjoy it more than being there for take out but I am glad they are still open and pumping out that delicious comfort food. Thumbs way up.

Fantastic Burgers , got a DTK burger for lunch and it was amazing. The patty was nice and juicy and the burger itself was massive. It was a mission but Im proud to say that it joined the clean plate club. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Just ordered a hot dog and fries from this spot. So good! And the customer service was excellent, over-the-top. I originally ordered the hot dog with a side of fries but was accidentally given a side of Caesar salad (which wasnt a big deal). I was tight for time so I left, but the chef ran out to the street to find me before I got in my vehicle and apologized for the mistake. He fixed my order right away and I had time to get to my next meeting. Thank you!!!!

It really was a stumbled upon as we are from Toronto, and was just driving by Kitchener. Thanks to google, we found you! My only complains are.... 1) I wished we could have dine in ( but I bet everyone felt the same), but even we did a take out and ate it in the car, it was so good. Burger was cooked on point (ordered crazy canuck), love the mushrooms! And everything is so fresh! And fries was crispy still! 2) the portion is HUGE and very value for money! 3) saw the garlic fingers, and was a bit unsure, but I am so glad I ordered them. It was one of the best garlic bread I ever tasted. I am also glad I over ordered, because I brought it home with me and (after a few hours later), heating it up on a pan, it still tasted super awesome. How I wish I could get them here! 4) promise, last complain! The staff was friendly, they were not pushy, gave me enough information to make my own decision! It was the right amount of customer service. Really curious how this place is like, pre- covid... Wish to go back post covid! Lastly, guys... I know times are not great. I can t believe how long I ve been missing out on this place for! Always seen it as I work DTK, and after years of passing by, I finally tried it. Wow was it ever worth it! The meat here is just incredibly tasty, and the poutine was delicious! Definitely will return.

The beef brisket is to die for hands down it s my favourite beef sandwich in the region! Can we talk about the Greek salad though? I crave it so much especially that freshness in the veggies and that buttery feta that I ve never had anywhere else. You gotta try this place the food is delish and the people who work there are all heart you can taste it in their food.

Amazing food and hilarious service!

Wow, this is one of those hidden gems which really shouldn t be hidden! As a rib aficionado, this is my new go-to in KW (along with the Lanc). It s easy to tell if care was taken in preparing food (from appearance to taste) and it s obvious the chef (at least today on June 22) really cared about his craft, even the Greek salad was excellent. And they re so devoted to the diner s experience, they even have their own craft beer! Can t wait to return for live comedy in the courtyard Friday/Saturday evenings!

This was our first time to the Kitchener location and it was fantastic. First, we were surprised to discover they have a patio in a courtyard in the center of the building. We were planning on doing takeout, but we stayed and dined in the patio instead. It was a hot humid day but somehow a breeze still got through. Second, I noticed the staff used the hand sanitizer whenever they left the patio as the only way to exit is to pull open a door by the handle. Other restaurants weve been to made us afraid for our lives due to their flaunting of basic COVID health recommendations, but we felt safe here. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the food was great. We ordered the Canuck poutine. It was delicious on its own, but it also came with two of the best ribs weve ever had. The waitress told us that if we ever order the ribs separately, to order them Canucked. We started with the Halifax sticks which were also yummy; super cheesy and the dipping sauce was nice and garlicky. Apparently there is also dessert poutine which sounded amazing, but we didnt have room to try it as we were so full we had to take half of our meal home. We were also told that they have live comedy on Friday and Saturday nights and that the line up is available in their Instagram feed. Well be heading back to try a bunch of other stuff on the menu soon.

Great food, great portions, beautiful patio, very friendly staff! It was a bit weird to go through a building o get to the restaurant but was super happy with our patio meal. I loved the quinoa burger!

This was legitimately the most Canadian experience of my life. They had on the same 90s rock that every Canadian still listens to, served me up the best poutine, and the dude was the friendly guy I had ever met. Delicious food and gorgeous patio.

Heres the deal: I am a Québec girl who was practically raised on poutine. Today, while out running errands in Kitchener with my partner, I was craving a Montréal smoked meat poutine and Google led us to The Crazy Canuck. We were there very early and the only ones in the joint, which gave us the opportunity to chat a little with the very friendly staff (or owners???). I ordered the poutine I was craving for and my partner, an East coast guy, ordered the Halifax donair poutine. Let me tell you folks, we were definitely not disappointed: the portions were generous, the fries fresh and cooked perfectly, the amount of meat and Lac Mégantic curd cheese was so much more than we expected, and there was just enough sauce to cover the fries without making them soggy. Overall, our poutines rocked and beat the ones we usually have at our regular stop in Drummondville on our way to/back from Québec City. Eight hours later and we still talk about how good our meals were! Kudos folks, you now have two more patrons who will go back to try other items from the menu or go on a date for comedy night. We highly recommend!

Hard to find the entrance to this place lol. The pizza was awesome. The crust was so good and fresh. My wife enjoyed her Reuben. The drink selection was ok. Not a place Id go to and relax for some drinks though, which isnt a bad thing. Ill definitely be back for more pizza via takeout!

Great hidden gem. Slightly off the beaten path from downtown but if you navigate in, it s a good sized restaurant and they have a courtyard patio (that hosts weekly comedy shows). The food is always delicious and reasonably priced too! The staff is also great. Last time I was there they gave me a complimentary piece of homemade strudel while I waited.

Great Food! Everything was sooo good. I had the half rack of ribs with slaw and a Caesar....everything fresh and made in house it appears. Will be recommending friends for sure...Live comedy on weekends in their patio. The staff were amazingly nice aswell.

Hard to find but worth it. The food was good, they had plenty of interesting Canadian dishes. Interior was very retro, a little unpolished but not in a bad way. If you come here the dessert poutine is a must.

Absolutely fantastic! Food, atmosphere, staff, all amazing. Not to mention, a lineup of absolute pro comedians. Couldnt find a more homey, intimate environment anywhere else. The owner and staff will greet you like family. This place is too good to be a third place. This is the place to be! P.S highly recommend the Canuck bread, as well as the heavy roster of poutine selections. If youre vegetarian, go for the ratatouille, you wont be let down.

Tucked away in a sunken downtown office building, this hidden gem is a great place to hang out and have the best poutine in the region. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. They have a courtyard that makes the restaurant feel very unique to other places for pub grub and a beer. Their poutine is always consistently delicious at both locations. This time we finally had the opportunity to try their fries straight from the kitchen as opposed to waiting for delivery since the pandemic started!

bring your appetite and a towel. the cheeseburger as pictured with a bite out of it is huge and juicy. the burger itself is flavourful and the thick cut bacon is killer. the crispy fries are salted to perfection. highly recommended

Attended a comedy night as a social event for work. They were very accommodating to us as I needed access to wheelchair ramp. They were all friendly and the food was good!

Went out for the Comedy Show on Saturday with Friends. Ordered food (Canuck poutine was AMAZING) and some drinks. Then enjoyed a good lineup of comedians. Highly recommend this little gem downtown Kitchener.
