SALVADOREAN AND MEXICAN DISHES
We had the enchiladas and birria tacos and they were delicious! The service was great and nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. The Guanaquita platter had a tasty assortment of dishes and the chimichangas are amazing
Delicious food, quick service, reasonable prices, big variety in the menu. Went with some friends and ordered various different bites to try. Everything was well seasoned and overall enjoyable. Would come again. We went at around peak dinner time and had to wait for 15 minutes for a table, very popular and for good reason.
Upper floor, looks like it's also a dance club. The food was tasty, new to Argetine fair it was helpful of the waiter to provide his recommendations. The mrnue is huge.
This restaurant is absolutely my first choice when looking for comfort food. I can't praise their love for flavour enough. I leave completely satisfied every time. The staff is always awesome but it can get busy so be patient they are cooking with love not to rush you out. Enjoy the experience.
Great service. Nice big booths. Big portions. Great food!! We were blown away by this place! The guy from the book store down the street recommended it. So glad he did because we would’ve walked right past! What an excellent experience!
Some of the best mexican food I've had in a while! I tried some new dishes and was NOT disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and experience here, so much so I got a burrito for lunch tomorrow!
We’ve been there twice now and boy do they not disappoint! Fantastic food and amazing service! We had an amazing server named Evelyn. Evelyn and her coworkers were very attentive and friendly! Shout out to them all. Everything was delicious, the yummy margaritas, apps, main courses and dessert. Everything seems homemade will love and everything was so fresh. Prices are very reasonable. It’s so busy though so call ahead for reservations! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. It’s wonderful to not dine at a chain and support small businesses! Thanks The Guanaquita! We’ll be back!
Absolutely love this place, food is always amazing
One of my absolute favourite restaurants is Kitchener. My personal favourite order is the Guanaquita platter, it s a masterpiece. And the staff is lovely as well
Kid-friendliness: Restaurant is kid friendly Food
The server greeted us at the door and found a table even though the kitchen was busy, the food was amazing!
Fantastic place at Waterloo. El Salvadorean cuisine at its finest.
Went there for Cuban Salsa on a Saturday. Was good.
The El Salvadorian enchiladas were life changing. Ive dreamed of them nightly since and have decided to devote my life to their sanctity. I could eat them until I literally exploded, at which point I would put myself back together to eat them again.
I avoid gluten and dairy and was so happy to have so many options to choose from here. Vanessa was a fantastic server and was so kind to us and our kids.
One of the best pupusas I have eaten in a long time! I will definitely come back
A gem in DTK that not enough people know about. Vegetarian options: lots of veg and vegan options Dietary restrictions: Asked about allergies or other considerations
It really doesn t get better than this. Loved the tacos and pupusas
The food was amazing! Got the combo platter and got to try quite a few things! Highly recommend. David was our server and he was super friendly and helpful!
Hell yeah, great food ! Very fresh and tasty chimichanga
I came here last weekend with some friends and had one of the best dining experiences of my life. The menu is huge and a bit overwhelming but adds to the charm and I didnt have a single thing that I didnt love. The service was fantastic and the server was patient with us and explained a lot of the menu to us. I tried the antojitos with steak and it was one of the best tasting dishes I have had in my life. The enchilada plate was fantastic as well. You can tell the chefs are cooking authentic food and really know what they are doing. The bathroom could use some work (it was cramped and the toilet had some plumbing issues) but thats expected in an old building in Kitchener, so I cant take off any points for that. I will definitely be back next time Im in town, and Ill be bringing lots of friends!
Nice portions and exotic and diverse foods
Wow, what a hidden treasure this spot is. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. I tried the Guanaquita Platter - and was blown away. The highlight was the steak Salvadorian enchilada and the pork and cheese papusa. The servers were so sweet and the service was wonderful. They ran out of lemonade (which I ordered) and they prioritized making a fresh batch, without asking. The churro s were also delicious. Simply amazing.
For authentic Guatemalan food, there is no other place to be. If you like tacos, burritos, pupusas, look no further.
Go hungry. Go very hungry. The menu is huge and freaking DELICIOUS. El salvadorian soul food for the win, oh and fellow vegans, THEY GOT YOU IN SPADES BABY.
The food is amazing. As someone who had to be GF and DF, there are a lot of options. Service can be a bit slow at times but it s worth it.
We came here for my birthday and it was such a nice experience. All of the staff were extremely nice and attentive. We had a window seat which was nice since you can look down onto King St. The food was absolutely delicious and was very obvious that everything was homemade. Also, the lime margarita was superb! Would definitely return and definitely recommend!
Orlando always greets us with a smile and great service. The food is always delicious and the flauta,s are amazing which keeps us coming back!! Thx Orlando
The food is so good that we ve gone three times this past month. We love the Guanaquita trio dip and the Salvadorean empanadas. Great margaritas too! Service is always friendly with a smile. Vegetarian options: Empanadas, fajitas, and many other foods on the menu have vegetarian variations Dietary restrictions: They always ask if you have any allergies. They can make adjustments for gluten free. Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. It s up a set of stairs and there is no elevator.
Dietary restrictions: Took care of allergy concerns very well Food
Having been to the Guanaquita 3 times now, we always find another reason to go as soon as were craving central American dishes. The food is tasty and homemade. The margaritas are PLENTIFUL and amazing. We just moved to downtown Kitchener about a 10 minute walk to this upstairs gem and hope its there for a LONG TIME !! The wait staff are always friendly. And weve never had a problem getting a table. If you havent been, then GO NOW !!
The food is always good here, and came out in a reasonable time on my latest visit but the service was extremely slow throughout. Just make sure you have extra time or make an earlier reservation.
Hidden gem
We got take out. This was some to the best plant-based options in all of Kitchener. We love the East African Cafe Veg platter. But this was a new try for us and we were super impressed with all the options and the quality of there veg-cheese and the taste! Their Chef is magic! Im sure their meat based food is also fantastic. This will be our new go to for take-out.
The best Latin American food experience you will find in this area. I had enchiladas but I tried every one else s choices as well. Outstanding! Food : 5/5
The food was very well prepared and prices were reasonable. Very authentic. The staff were professional and friendly, very willing to accommodate all requests. Highly recommend !
Personally, I appreciate places like this. Food is great, pricing is average, and the service is always great.
The food was pretty good, decent tacos, but the tres leches cake (which was my first time trying tres leches) was life changing I will be returning just for that cake whenever I m in Kitchener
Very tasty dishes excited to come back and try a few more!!
Came for a vegan dinner and was not disappointed. Great authentic Salvadorian food. Really loved the dip trio and vegan combo plate. Generous portions. Try the mojito! Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan and gluten free options.
What an excellent place Orlando (owner) has here!!! Great food staff and service. Orlando is always helpful a d there to say hello and make sure everything is great. Orlando what an excellent team!!!!
We love this kind of food however we were disappointment first when we arrived we were told we need a reservation which is understandable but we could easily see half the tables empty, we waited for an hour no problem. When we got to the restaurant the same amount of tables approximately were still available maybe they need more help I dont know. Next we waited an over average amount of time for our food, when the food did arrive not everything was edible, but the margaritas were good. We did not have to pay for the food we could not eat so thanks for that. Even though we do not expect fine dining with this kind of food we still expect the place to be clean (hope you dont need to use the washrooms my shoes stuck to the floor, and it has been forever that I have seen a ashtray on the wall between urinals). This might be your kind of thing but it did not suit us.
Incredible vegan options! Absolutely loved the Vegan platter. I was with a group of non-vegans and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Highly recommend!
Amazing hole in the wall, easy to miss but so worth going in. The salsa is amazing and balanced with heat, the pastelitos were super crunchy and the meat was so tender. Have to recommend the dulce chimichanga its loaded with fruit and fried to perfection. 5/5 have to check it out if your in the area and want some amazing Salvadorian food or tacos
I had the Guanaquita platter and a margarita delicious and very friendly service. Will absolutely come again
Beautiful window seating, 10/10 service, amazing food!! First time trying el Salvadorian food and it couldn t have been better. Waitress made the atmosphere very welcoming and pleasant. Will be coming back soon.
Service was amazing, our server was so kind and helpful. The food was perfect, I got pastelitos and they were so crispy and very filling! 10/10 Vegetarian options: Pastelitos, pupusas, tamales etc.. Dietary restrictions: Amazing vegan and vegetarian selection!
One of our go-to places in KW. The food is phenomenal and they have an unbelievable amount of vegan-friendly options that don t sacrifice on flavour. Vegetarian options: Extensive vegetarian and vegan options. Most vegetarian dishes can be made vegan and you can substitute regular cheese for vegan cheese (that is made in-house). I never get tired of the options because there are so many.
A wonderful restaurant with excellent central american food. I had the Guanaquita platter which gave me a great sampling of what the place had to offer. The pupusas were exceptional. The salvadoran enchilada was not what I expected..it was crispy like a tostada but was absolutely delicious. The only thing i didnt love was the tamal which was a bit watery in texture. I would still return and buy again without a doubt. For dessert i treated myself to the cheesecake chimichanga which is a decadent indulgence well worth the bazillion calories! Highly recommended. Wheelchair accessibility: Not at all accessible. Located on second floor up steep stairs.
Food was sooooo gooooooooooooood
We love it here! The food and service staff are amazing. The combination platter is a great deal and perfect way to try a few different items. Food
I really enjoy their Latino cuisine.
Just sososo amazing. And so many vegan/vegetarian options. Im so happy and cant wait to be back!!! My friend got the birria and said 10/10 as well!!! (No photo cause she ate it so fast!)
Ive been to The Guanaquita Restaurant 3 times and have loved every time, but the last time was made exceptional by the server we had. I didnt get her name but she was super friendly and set our expectations well in letting us know that the kitchen was super busy. The food is always good and fresh, and we love the variety. Not to mention the prices, which are reasonable! We will most definitely return!
The chicken fajitas is great. We didnt like anything else just because it was just too much fried stuff. The service was just wonderful.
This is my new favourite restaurant.
Wait staff, kitchen staff and management were all so helpful and friendly in addressing all our dietary allergies and making recommendations. I have multiple food allergies and there were still so many options to choose from. Food was amazing. My partner and I had a great time, we will definitely be back Vegetarian options: Many Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan and gluten free options
This is my daughter s new favorite Salvadoran restaurant, food here is absolutely incredible! It was my first time coming, and I really enjoyed the steak antojitos, the steak tacos and the new yellow corn pupusas. My only regret was ordering the churros. They were very over cooked with a hard outer shell and slight bitter aftertaste. I was a little disappointed about that considering everything else was insanely delicious. But, it could ve just been a bad batch. My son had the chicken tamales and loved them. The service and atmosphere was ok. The main server was really sweet, very welcoming and friendly, but considering she was the main server attending to all the tables, service became a little slow and we definitely waited a while before receiving our meal. However, definitely worth the wait! Overall, a great place for amazing Salvadoran food, I highly recommend you go and give it a try!
Great food and quick service even when they are super busy. Seriously DELICIOUS.
One of the best restaurants in town!!
Authentic taste
I got a mango margarita which was refreshing and not too strong. To eat I got a combination platter, and the pastelillo was my favourite though the chicken pupusa was a really close second. Ended the meal with fried plantain and ice cream, chefs kiss.
One of the best places to eat in Kitchener. Love the papusas and pastelittos. Very affordable and huge plates of food. Vegetarian options: Clearly marked menu. Dietary restrictions: Clearly marked menu.
Delicious food! We thought wed try this place with some friends and were very pleased with how tasty the food was.
We tried La Guanaquita for the first time tonight and were blown away by the delicious food and kind staff. We got guanaquita platters, flautas, plantains, beans and rice, and churros, and everything was absolutely delicious very impressed! Not to mention the staff member we ordered from on the phone and the delivery driver were both very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Sooooo good and super kind
Immaculate in every way. Perfect family run restaurant vibes, 10/10 food that tastes homemade, get the platanos and some pupusas I beg you Dietary restrictions: Someone in my party was vegan and they had no problem enjoying their meal! A couple modifications were necessary here and there but the food was still delicious regardless
The services was great food is little bit blend but ok. Great ambience. Cozy place.
Great food!
Nice restaurant on the upper floor. Food served quickly and with a smile. It was a nice experience.
Excellent little place for a good meal. The meal I had for over $40 was the steak fajitas with a beer but there are cheaper options. [Edit: Todays meal was well under $40, two shrimp tacos with a beer and it was excellent ]
I could eat here every night!
Never tried Salvadoran cuisine until last year. The food is a must try! I recommend the Guanaquita Platter or the Combination Platter for first timers, just to get an initial taste.
Cant wait to go again!
The food and drinks are amazing every single time I come here. While service was slow during my last visit, the servers made sure to let us know before we sat down that there was a wait given how busy they were. The food is well worth the longer wait time though.
amazing food! we tried pupusas, fajita plate, burrito and loved all of it.
Amazing place to go! Little hidden gem... One of the only places Ill go and feel great after eating! Couple things though that may knock my review down a bit... The prices used to be great... Now they are so expensive more worth it still than most places... Also, I hope they change locations in the near future.. my poor mother in law struggled getting up all those stairs and its so sad... I wish I could bring her back here but I cant.. and Ive heard people complain about the same issue
Dietary restrictions: They have corn tortilla for the gluten Sensitive people Food
My favourite. Service is always the friendliest, I usually get takeout but I did eat-in once with Mt parents to introduce them and I got them hooked too. The best pupusas in town, and pastelitos are to die for. Its hard not to get one of each kind but they are pretty filling
This place has great casual Latin vibes. The food is tasty and has lots of vegan and other customizable options for my girlfriend who cant have cheese.
We should not have to wait 30 minutes between entrees. No one came to check on us....no wait...a server asked if we wanted anything else. I asked for another drink. She came back 10 minutes later and asked again. I said just the bill. I figure for $110 we should get at least a water refill
Good service my family and I went and we had a good time.
The absolute best fajitas Ive ever had. Very authentic cuisine and service is always excellent time and time again. You will not be disappointed!
My husband and I just ate here before a concert. Amazing food and very friendly service. They were also able to assure us which items would work for my husbands celiac disease. Definitely coming back!
I love, love, love this place! The food is authentic and delicious. Dont go expecting a quick in-and-out dining experience, drink some mojitos and be prepared to wait for your food. Its worth the wait!
The food was FANTASTIC and the dining room is comfortable and casual, nice relaxed atmosphere. Some of the best tacos we ve had in Canada! First time trying pupusas and they were delicious too. Nice and busy on a Sunday night. Very affordable, we ll be back soon!
Great food and service! Considerate of allergies too. Will certainly return!
Me and my wife found this place with a quick google search, while out for the day. Walking into a restaurant with a dance floor was such a unique, and interesting surprise. The food was phenomenal!! Muy bien! I had Mexican and my wife had Salvadorian food. We have Never yet been disappointed with Salvadorian restaurants. The servers were so courteous, and happy to serve us. Yes, Id highly recommend this place!
Very friendly staff with some incredible food! My first time trying this cuisine and i was very impressed!! Will definitely be back someday!
Cute interior, but if you blink, youll miss the entrance driving by as I did the first time. Youll never forget again though because the food is soooo amazing!!!
Great food at a humble place ! Great find ! Must try if you like Salvadoran food ! Yuca Frita with steak Guanaquita platter -pork & cheese pupusas, paselito ,enchilada and tamale Horchata and Salvadoran hot chocolate ! Hidden gem for sure ! Everything tasted great ! Will repeat if I m nearby for sure !
Great authentic El Salvadoran food. My favorite spot to order freshly made Pupusas! Repeat customer!
Delicious Salvadoran food!
Everything perfect. Delicious food. My Costa Rican wife loved its authenticity. All delicious to me
Lil restaurant with a spacious atmosphere. Nice place to get delicious latin food. Staff is very friendly. Price on fair to high end but worth the taste. Dance social nights is the favorite time to go. Food
Food is AWESOME. Weird vibe. Usually 45 minute wait to get seated. Get the blueberry mojito pitcher. So yummy.
This place the food is so so good, they have such a large menu and the staff are so friendly and have good service. Have tried the pupusas, pastelitos, enchiladas, tacos, churos.. going to have to go back/order to try more! Yum! Recommended dishes Carnitas, 2 Tacos Platter, Combination Platter, Churros, Fajitas Plate
Amazing staff! Great hospitality! I am from Salvador and its hard to find authentic pupusas but believe me, this it!! We come from Hamilton and its worth the drive!
amazing food and the staff are super sweet! can t wait to come back
This place is great, the entrance is a little tucked away and hard to find but the food more than makes up for it. This is the type of place that should be supported by locals instead of the chain restaurants. Im by no means an expert on traditional Salvadoran food, but I know what I like and I like this.
Amazing food for a great place. Always have a great time Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate no Garlic or Onion for me Food : 5/5 |
Not accommodating at all, we walked in party of 7 and the best they could offer us was to fit 6 of us into a 4 person booth with a barstool for the 7th person. They had lots of empty tables which they refused to rearrange to fit us. One person in our party is 8 months pregnant and with the size of the booths she was struggling to sit comfortably and the restaurant was not willing to give us any other option EVEN THOUGH they had LOTS of empty tables.
AMAZING food. Great service. The Enchiladas were the , would definitely recommend! 5 stars all around. Vegetarian options: Lot s of vegan options for those who require that:)
The steak Chimichanga with Jalapenos was stellar as was the Mango smoothie. Service was equally superb. Will be back for more and must try some frozen Margaritas next time Food : 5/5
Amazing chicken burrito.
Food was phenomenal. Hot and great flavor. Will continue to be going there.
Absolutely AMAZING! One of the best (if not THE best) spots in KW for authentic and amazing food (at super reasonable prices!) Go all in and try the Salvadorian dishes... mind blow,!
A hidden gem in downtown. I loved the guanaquita platter.
Generous portions of El Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine. Great combo platters. Try the pupitas. Margaritas if you re so inclined! Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options but not a dedicated deep fryer. Vegan and vegetarian options too.
Prices hiked a bit since a couple years ago but food quality stayed excellent. I prefer the place on Eby st. and the atmosphere here is lacking in my opinion. We also had to wait like 15 mins almost for a server to even come see us which I found unusual, and customers were turned away even though there was seating (maybe small kitchen). Definitely a few things that can be improved on, but still an excellent place if you crave/love El Salvadorian food
Great food and prices. The service was friendly. Recommend the guanaquita dip trio, and pupusas
It was our first time at The Guanaquita Restaurant last night and we were so impressed with the food and service. My mom and I both enjoyed the vegan platter and loved everything on it. Its wonderful that most menu items can be made vegan. Next time we are in Kitchener we will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Food was delicious, staff are very friendly. Great atmosphere. Everything was great! A hidden gem for sure!
Very nice salvadoreño restaurant! Margaritas are awesome, make sure to order frozen! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian/vegan pupusas!!!!
Honestly the food here is amazing. No food pics because I always start eating before I realize it and the food is just gone. Sometimes you may have to wait a bit when it s busy but it s definitely worth the wait.
best. food. ever. I got the chicken chimichanga platter and it took a while to get seated and to get our food but the wait was SO worth it. 11/10 deliciousness
Nice place to dine at. I liked the ambience and service was good. Better than other South American food places I ve tried in the region.
Great spot. My favorites are the pupusas and horchata :)
great food. fast and fresh and wonderfully seasoned. will be back. we needed reservations but called same day no issues.
A great Salvadoran-Mexican food experience with many great tasty options to try. We had floutas with a cold refreshing margaritas followed by a hearty sampling plate. Loved it and would definitely go again!
Their food is outstanding! Always delicious and on point. Worth eating there. The restaurant is a bit outdated now and in need of renovations for sure.
My absolute favourite restaurant. The family is so amazing and sweet. Theres something on the menu for everyone: vegetarian, vegan, everything. Food is to die for!
Not an easy to find spot for some really delicious Central American food. Lots of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Just need to be patient with the service sometimes, but they are always very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend
This is a hidden gem! Everything on the menu is phenomenal and the service is excellent. Prices are surprisingly low for the quality of meal. Would give it 6 stars if i could. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options
It took 1 and half hours to get our food. When we finally got our food, the chimichanga was made incorrectly. The enchiladas were good. When though the chimichanga was made incorrectly, it still tasted great, but the over 1 hour wait ruined the whole experience. They were not to busy, and what really upset us, was the server who was supposed to serve is. Left for the day with out a proper hand off to another server. None of the other servers knew what we had ordered. I would go back to try it again, lets hope the next time its better!
A must try. Food is so flavourful.
Food was super authentic and the service was outstanding!
Food was good
This place is absolutely AMAZING. I ve been coming back for years and it s delicious every single time! Highly recommend
Service wasn t great and we sat beside the dirty dishes piled on carts. But the drinks and food were amazing. Cute place. A hidden gem. Vegetarian options: Lots of options!
The food was fabulous.
Absolutely delightful experience, the food was incredible and the service was great. I m still thinking about all of those delicious eats. I ordered the combination platter with a steak, bean and cheese pupusa, ground beef and cheese pastelito, sweet corn lightly fried tamale, and a pork Salvadorian enchilada. My sister ordered the guanaquita platter. We were both blown away, I kept trying to consider what my favourite item was and what I d order next time, and I could not pick. All of them were incredible and I ll probably always order the platter so I can get some of everything on subsequent visits, which 100% will be frequent. Everything was packed with flavour, fresh, and boy was I full at the end of it. But I couldn t help myself, I had to try one of their homemade desserts. We indulged in the tres leches cake and the fried plantains with chocolate sauce. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, you will not be disappointed. Vegetarian options: Several options for vegetarians and vegans, conveniently outlined in their own sections on the menu. Parking: Street parking is available, no parking lot at restaurant but I ve never had a problem finding street parking downtown. Check king or water st.
Good food nice service
Very expensive food here. Although we enjoyed the pupusas. It isnt worth what you paid for
Great food, service is not quick as everything is prepared at order. Worth the wait.
A hidden gem in Kitchener! This little spot is so cute. Its located on the second floor which can be an accessibility challenge. Once you get up there, you are greeted by the waitress in an open space with traditional salvadorian decor. Our servers were all great. Friendly. Knowledge and patient. Their menus were a bit overwhelming for me. Sooooo many options I was stuck on what to try (but this is a good issue to have). I ordered a mango smoothie which was simply delicious and the server recommended I try their combination plate, which gave me 4/5 of their top items. I also ordered a small chips and dip which was so fresh and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Everything was so good. From the service, to the food. Im definitely going back and encourage you to try them. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Parking: Free street parking hut if its full you may have to walk a few blocks Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessibility friendly
I ve been going here since they opened years and years ago. This is definitely my favourite spot in downtown Kitchener. The speed of service is severely lacking but the staff are very sweet and the food makes up for the long wait times. The menu is overwhelming but the combo platter is always a great place to start! I have many favourites, but the shrimp tacos or fajitas are always delicious and I never go without their dip to share .
Great people, serving great food!
We had an amazing dining experience at the Guanaquita! The pupusas, pastelitos, Salvadorian enchilada, and tacos were all delicious. The combination platter allowed us to savor all these, which was a fantastic choice. Our friends ordered the enchiladas and were equally impressed. A must-visit for authentic Salvadorian cuisine! We look forward to trying more dishes here.
Staff were lovely, and the food was awesome! The chicken was beautifully seasoned, and good portion sizes as well.
They have a ton of great vegan options!
Best food in KW! Ive been here many times. Great for gluten-free and celiacs.
Delicious food, everything. There are too many options
TASTY FOOD. Highly recommend. Everything is so fresh tasting! I ordered the combination plated, which had pupusas, pupalito, tacos, and enchiladas! It was sooooo good. But the atmosphere is quite dark.. wish it was a little brighter in there, and the menu was a bit hard to navigate. Wish it was more organized and clear. Overall food is amazing.
Food was great and really good value! Service was good too, especially considering they were telling guests they were short staffed.
Great authentic Latina style food. The restaurant can be super busy sometimes so make sure to call ahead.
They have limited seating without reservation, so either wait 45 minutes for a table or make as reservation well in advance. Food is out of this world delicious and as a mojito expert, its the best in Canada together with their Horchata. You have to try this restaurant at least once in your life.
Delicious food. The service was also attentive. We were greeted and seated right away. The server who took our order repeated the items back to us which is great communication/ensuring we get the right thing in my opinion. When the food came it was delicious. We tried at least 5 dishes and each were so good. And it is very fairly priced. Would definitely come back here, and I recommend it to my friends.
The #1 Latin American restaurant choice in Waterloo region for authentic dishes! As long as you re not in a rush (it s busy and sometimes the service takes quite some time), you ll be treated to amazing food and hospitality from the team here. Tried a few things and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Just make sure you re not looking for a quick bite. This is one of those places where you take your time and enjoy good food and conversations. The restaurant is on an upper level but street parking is available.
Been going here for years, everything on the menu tastes great! Great for a larger group as they have a couple of roomy booths as well as their tables.
the best salvadoran food i ve had in the region. the pupusas and the steak enchiladas were the highlights. definitely coming back for more
Went for the first time tonight. Its bright, friendly staff, food is very delicious and filling! Had the Guanaquita platter. Reasonably priced for the amount of food youre getting. Menu is a bit challenging to navigate as there are a lot of options but the staff is happy to explain anything and help if you have questions. Also I was impressed with how much space they have given its on the second floor. Will definitely be going back! Vegetarian options: There was plenty available.
Hands down one of our favs!! Everything fresh made and delicious. It may take a little bit but the food is worth it!! Enjoy
Very goood service. The food is amazing and soo many options. Highly recommend
Been here a few times now... Everyone I know, including myself loves this place. Very good food. Bussin tacos. The drinks are solid too and often good deals. They also did me a huge favor taking in my party of 12 people on very little notice. Not sure her name, but the one waitress (had her twice since I ate there) really makes this place shine. She is VERY accommodating. Currently my go-to taco spot in the city.
