Great place to buy Latin products and the staff are always friendly. However, whenever I come by it’s dark and the “open sign” is off, which makes its look closed. I turn back around and go home. This has happened on multiple occasions. So I rarely shop here.
Definitely a hidden gem. Great service and the seafood soup tasted amazing!! I would highly recommend people to try it out. The INDIANS will always complain, so I would not take their review seriously.
We went there 3 weeks ago, service needs a huge improvement. The man that was serving seemed to be the owner, not friendly at all. Tacos were good, steak and rice was not good at all. To drink we had was Jamaica and it was ok.
Very average food. We tried the chicken tamales, papasas, fish tacos and rice and fosh. The tamales and papasas were very bland. Tacos were good. Rice and fish needs more seasoning.
Nice little spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Atmosphere is nice. You can grab groceries while you are here. I'm going to guess our server was either a manager or an owner. They could def use someone better suited for the role. It wasn't bad per se, but also wasn't great.
Amazing place to go have authentic Latin food. Tried their fish tacos and their vegetarian Pupusas were delicious. I went with a friend who was visiting from Mexico and he was amazed to see the grocery items they carried at the store for sale. Lots of authentic Mexican products available there.
First time customer and had an excellent experience. Staff was friendly and very helpful, ordered Papusas, tacos and horchata. The best horchata I've had to date! 4 tacos for $12 fantastic pricing.
Out of all the Latin stores I've grown up seeing and going to, can I just saw how much I appreciate the esthetic of this place? Thank you for making nice booths that look fresh and clean! Love the location and historic store it's in. You can shop for authentic Latin food here and also eat authentic Salvadoran food. The pupusas, tamales and appetizer were delicious! Kind service. Nice and chill atmosphere.
Great food & Latin products to buy.
Hidden gem of an experience, can be expensive if you get some groceries but the food is very affordable
Good food
Lovely quiet spot witb parking next door just up from the square- order some delicious food and bring it over to hear some free music or relax in their quiet and welcoming atmosphere - we ordered the birria and pupusas - they were sooo good! Nice to find a spot that has traditional Loroco and cheese They have Horchata and Tamarind juice Platanos and small store in the side that has specialty snacks and imported foods. Fresh traditional crema that paired fantastically with the plantains I also picked up while there. Would love to see if they make traditional plate of Tortilla de Harina con carne asada
Parking: Nice little place. We enjoyed it Parking space
I did not go there for the dining but for their store. They had what I was looking for and I was pleased. I do plan on returning one day to have lunch or dinner. The smells coming from the kitchen was heavenly.
I loved the birria poutine!!
The food was really good the customer service was ok and the atmosphere was decent.
Excellent service and very tasty food
Good traditional food i
Havent tried the restaurant, but the goods were too expensive. I bought a chilli salt for 20$, while it was only 14 on Amazon.
Delicious birria tacos!!
The tacos are very delicious and the service is super friendly. Very flexible hours, even extended to be able to serve us!!
The service is very good as well as the food, drinks and establishment, everything is very clean and the atmosphere is very peaceful!
Amazing food and friendly service, highly recommend
This was my first time here and I loved it! To get a taste of the menu I tried chicken, and bean pupusas. Both delicious, my favourite was the beans and cheese. Enchiladas were top notch. A good amount of slaw on top to balance the flavours! Both the chicken and pork enchiladas were great. Friendly, timely service and you can t beat the price. Will come back!!
Excellent service, their fish tacos and pupusa are delicious!!
Small little corner store, one will find vegetable chips, among other things, is mostly Latin America goodies.
Charming, delicious, great value
The tripe is quite tasteless compared to the traditional Colombian tripe. The meat has good flavor.
Great food and service! Definitely come back for more pupusas
Whatch out the bill, they charge extra , shady! Not coming back
Small, simple menu. Good food. Licensed. Waiter was super-chill. Ill be back!
Great Latin restaurant, however having tried this place, Guanaquita, and Pupuseria Latinos, Pupuseria Latinos is probably my favourite. That being said, they are all great and deserve a try
Very cute restaurant/store. Food was delicious. I tried the steak enchiladas and the steak was super tender and delicious. Would definitely recommend.
The people it s so kind and everything on there it s fantastic
Pupusas, tacos, and tamales were pretty good. I also tried the mondonga soup, and unfortunately that was dreadful and that is not how its made back in El Salvador according to my mom who is from there.
First time customers, life time customers now! Your food was absolutely amazing! The wife and I have never tried Latina food, we are absolutely hooked! Great presentation, food was nice and hot when it arrived, your delivery man was such a nice polite, friendly.guy!. We cant wait to order again! Thank you so much for an amazing experience!
I got the birria tacos which is something Ive seen on various food shows and always wanted to try. They were fantastic, I will definitely be coming back!
Delicious food. Called to place an order for pickup. It was ready on time, with kind people inside the store, and such good value for money. And compostable packaging! Thank you! Order some food, pick up some specialty groceries while youre there, and enjoy!
This is our go-to spot for Latin ingredients/products but they are inconsistent with business hours listed online. I suggest calling ahead to confirm whether they are open before visiting. Also because sometimes they dont turn on the window open sign
Delicious, authentic Hispanic food, I like their meats and their breakfasts are my favorite. Everything is tasty. 100% recommended
Great place. Delicious food. Very clean. Nice staff. Traditional latin food made with quality ingredients. I will definitely go back. Five stars!!! Parking: Free parking behind de restaurant
Best tacos Ive had in the KW area.
Excellent service and delicious food.
Wonderful spot! Cute set-up with tables in a grocery store. Food is AMAZING, staff super friendly and amenable to our loud toddler!
Order chicharron pupusas with cheese. They tasted like something was already going bad. The pupusa dough is also very dry. The Curtido and the sauce are good. Good service.
Food is ok, tastes very homemade. The portion is a bit small for the price.
Very rich!
Really enjoyed the authentic fish tacos!
A clean place with a beautiful atmosphere. Unfortunately the pupusas were made with Arepa flour and not pupusa. Probably for a Canadian it would be the same but for a Salvadoran not the Arepa has its own flour and flavor and the pupusas too. They were dry and with little filling and the price was more expensive than Toronto
One of the best empanadas i ever test. I went back to my country whit the empanadas we test the burritos too. Food
This is a hidden gem. The owners are very friendly and happy to help or answer your questions
I order pupusas, they were pretty good. Good flavor.
One of those quiet little combo store cafes found throughout the city. Some are cleaner and better laid out than others. Variedad is on the way, but not quite there.
The Best of since inflation on food. Great people.
The enchiladas and tamales were so good. This was a completely random order online and we were so surprised how good it was!
I wish I had photos to share but I ve ordered from this place 3 times now and I feel like it s gotten better each time! I originally ordered from here on a day I was craving pupusas but had been disappointed with the flavour in my usual go to Salvadoran place. Ordered The pupusas from here on a whim and it was a decision I will never regret. Definitely will be a place we can will frequent often going forward.
Delicious food!!! Friendly service. Authentic cuisine and plenty of Mexican grocery items. Will definitely be going back.
Everything is very delicious and the staff is very friendly.
Amazing place and amazing food
Incredible food, I tried the Colombian beef empanadas with chili and it was spectacular, my partner tried fried yuca with chicharrones and was fascinated. Super attentive and friendly! Many options to buy Latin products.
Excellent customer service, the gentleman who helped me was very helpful and served magnificent delicious food, the food was authentic cuisine and so delicious. Definitely a to go recommended place.
Good food, great price.
I had their papusas and birria tacos and it was very delicious and very filling. Awesome price for the quality and quantity of food. Will definitely be coming back again!
Nice little place. Its a restaurant and little store at the same time. Service was very Friendly and the food was pretty good.
Went here to look for Mexican items and glad to found many items here! Also we ordered birria and it was good. Will definitely come back.
Friendly service. Amazing food and fairly priced.
Fresh Empanadas. Very tasty. A little oily in our opinion. Good place to eat something that tastes homemade and fresh. Good place.
Very good authentic Latin food. I ordered four beef tacos and a glass bottle of imported Mexican Coke. Friendly shopkeeper as well. Vegetarian options: Its Latin food so you can get refried beans and other things rather than meat. Kid-friendliness: Kids would love it
Great pupusas and awesome for latin grocery shopping. Highly recommend the Semita. Pineapple filled coffee cake essentially, enjoy!
Very good pupusas - we ordered one each of the 6 kinds. Fast, friendly service and very reasonable prices
Lovely little spot set inside a grocery store. Every single thing we tried was amazing. We tried tacos, papusas, enchiladas and plantains and everything we had came out fast and was super yummy!!! The staff were very kind and friendly. Even brought the good hot sauce!!!
Dont be fooled by the unassuming facade, the food here is top notch! My favorite is the fish tacos, rare to find a place that does them without the deep fry
Had a pork pupusa, a zucchini pupusa and a chicken tamale. The tamale was silky and generous but the pork pupusa was the highlight!! SO good.
Amazing soups, tacos popusas!!
We love the beef soup and tacos.
The food is tasty. The service is acceptable. The variety is excellent. Prices are acceptable. Not even a parking space. It doesnt have one.
Nothing really special 40 bucks for 3 servings of the beef and chicken
I dont know if its because of covid or what but I paid 12$ for 2 week old microwaved beef was probably the worst food I have ever eaten, lots of good reviews so maybe this was an off day but man Im probably never gonna order from here again
Building is over 100 years old, rats in the place, I renovated it 10 years ago
Very good food and you can have 1 or 2 beers, excellent service
Delicious Pupusas and especially when the Latin music comes in it makes you feel in your country!!
Nice place and staff the foid we order was amazing.. muchas gracias
Good place for Latin American bites....
Their online website was easy to navigate and order from. Portions are a good size for takeout. The order was made quick and was super hot. Still hot when I got home and hours after too. Came here for the pupusas cuz I was craving and they delivered big time! Their beef steak was just right too. Nicely seasoned. Will be back for more.
Amazing service, amazing food.
Wow! Incredible everything. Best churros I ve ever had
I just tried this restaurant for the 1st time. I came across it on Skipthedishes. I am impressed. Everything was delicious. The steak was very tender even well done. Chicken tacos amazing, the tamales were supple and generously filled. I will continue to order.
Warm, friendly staff, excellent tacos!! Cant wait to try the rest of the menu
Came looking for the elusive KW empanadas and had their 3 empanada special. It was so delicious and I d been travelling on an empty stomach. Gave me life. Empanadas we re crispy and had some kinda potato mixture inside, simple yet delicious.
Cool little Bodega Cafe, great food. Owner is really helpful
First time to try authentic Mexican food and we enjoyed it. The guy serving us was so nice and accommodating. We stayed at crown plaza hotel it just 1 min walk. So convenient. They always have some Mexican goodies.
It is a small but delicious place to eat. I have tried the Central American Menudo that has a piece of meat and vegetables. The beef broth is very good. The strange thing for me is that they give you 2 tortillas but for me as a Mexican they are more like sopes. It is a small but delicious place to eat. Typical Central American food well made and tasty
The attention is great and the food is the best that it is private.
Great price. Food tasted amazing. Guy serving us was super nice! Music had a good vibe too!
Excellent place. Nice staff. They have a very good variety of latino food. As well some popular latino groceries. Recommend 100%
Would been 5....women knew customers service, man didnt. I even dropped just over a bill there.
I brought my grandfather here when he came to visit. He is 92, Chilean and usually does not eat very much when we go out. He ordered papusas, plantains, tamales and tacos from here. He ate every bite and loved it. Ive never seen him enjoy food so much. We made jokes that he was acting like it was his last supper. The food here is delicious and the prices are terrific.
Great service, wonderful food and friendly staff. Owners are very friendly.
Lovely shop. Picked up lots of groceries, and take out.
They serve food which is very delicious in Spanish food the carne asada Come and try the food
Like most Latino grocery stores, its not very big. Delicious hot food to order. The Caldo de Res is the BEST Ive had in town so far!
Amazing food and service! Very authentic and delicious.
Pupusas and soups too small Ill stick to my other location still.
Wow! Amazing food here! Very friendly service, fast and clean. Highly recommend everyone to try this place.
Very good.
To that mahe, who said that the portions of the pupusas and the soup are (small). It seems to me that they pay him for leaving a bad reputation because all the reviews he has are only bad.....it seems to me that he doesnt like to pay...CULERAZZOOÒO lmao
Food was great!
Excellent food Attention and quality
Tasty!!
Very good attention.
Super very good food
It is delicious and good service
One of the best places in kw to eat pupusas
I love their food and horchata... they should have something for the mosquitos though.
Very clean, tasty food and quick service. Loads of options for vegetarians. Do ask them for their hot salsa. I will definitely recommend this place.
Great pupusas!
Best Latin food
Our server Brian was amazing. There were 15 of us and every person was happy. He had extensive knowledge of the menu, his service was fast and attentive, and he was friendly and in a great mood. The manager could be seen on the floor checking on tables as well. Even though the place seemed packed service was wonderful. Were still talking about how awesome everything was. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Make sure you ask for Brian!
La comida sabrosa!! The food is so delicious. Home made. Just like eating back home.
The food and the variety are very good. But what really sets it apart and turns it into my favourite Latino place in KW, is the quality of service and how sparklingly clean everything is . Im not sure of why, but a lot of Latino places tend to be dirty and owners or employees dont seem to be enjoying themselves at all. This place is the opposite: everything shines and smells like clean, and every time Ive been there Im greeted with a smile and courtesy. Its really refreshing. Keep on the good work!!
I love this place that owners are very friendly
Excellent and authentic food. Great place to shop for staples and treats as well.
Great food and friendly staff
I usually order from this place with JustEat and get delivery but yesterday on my way home I went in to pick up my order after pre ordering, and I was very impressed with the store and restaurant eating area. Once home about 2 hours had passed before being able to eat the pupusas we got. Wow! I was amazed to see that they were still hot after sitting on the counter all this time. I was figuring I would have to do a quick re heat in the toaster oven, but no. I didnt need too. The packaging is great. Great food Great service Great packaging
Great location. A variety of latin products...Goya, Doña Maria, Jarritos, beans, semita, chiles, spices, etc. Also have great pupusas! Did not try the tacos but they look great too. Lovely service.
Very kind owner who took the time to explain the menu to me. Food was great, really loved the pupusas. I really enjoyed our meal here and hope to come back soon.
Very good and clean environment. Fresh food and so yummy. Pupusas of Cheese & Loroco so tasty.
Great delicious Salvadorian food!!! I live in Toronto and this place is by far the best Salvadorian restaurant I have been to! Incredible service and a variety of latin products.
Delicious authentic
Wow the service. Super legit
Ok, this place is amazing, the food is better than the pictures on the menu by a huge mile. See my photos of our breakfast. Had scrambled eggs with fried plantain. Photo did not show the sour cream, chocolaty bean dip, or the cheese square and bun which all came with the meal. The owner even put a wonderful red tomato sauce dispenser that complemented the food without being spicy. Meal for the 3 of us with coffee and glasses of milk was just under $35 before tip. The place is not fancy and reminds me of the corner stores in San Salvador... But its romantic in that bare bones way that is simple and clean. We loved our meal and the owners were kind and attentive without hovering. Try the enchiladas... See photo. My 11 year old daughter relished them. Yummy!
Dont expect much variety, but the few items on the menu are beyond tasty and heartwarming. Very friendly and helpful hosts, made us feel we had brunch at our long time latino friends house. Very high chance to revisit. Added the pics of what we had: Beef and chicken tacos (no ground meat, but delicious bitesize pieces of meat) and yummy tripe and vegetables soup.
