Disappointed with the Pad thai. Bland af.

Not even one star bad customer service talking not nicely to customer s prices very expensive 22$ for small soup overcharging for food never will buy from this restaurant

I used to frequent this location, but after a bad experience with who I m assuming is the owner I will not be returning. Extremely rude.

Old guy on cash register was extremely rude with customer ahead me. He was yelling on the customer when customer told him he wants pineapple and tomatoes fried rice. Cashier told I want to know Thai or basil but he was extremely extremely rude. I would never visit this location again and I would like to call Thai express head office because I ve experienced that before as well. 2 Days before also he did same with me and my spouse, we were happy and shopping but that guys ruined our mood but we didn t say anything that day but we both felt disrespectful.

Food quality was really bad. I felt awful after eating there. No gloves and she touched/hold someone else food who brought his half eaten food back to add some more gravy and cut to continued preparation of my food. I actually had to throw my food anyways I ordered Ginger stir fry with chicken, there was hardly any chicken or veggies but mostly sauce and white rice. Very disappointing this location is waste of money. Also Asian older guy was almost yelling on me when I tried to talk to him regarding.

Amazing food..very good taste big portions and clean ... I really enjoyed the food and we will come again..the cook is very friendly too :)

Had the ginger stir fry with chicken, the chicken is weird, it doesnt feel like chicken, the texture is too soft to be real chicken. The pad thai chicken is different. Dont get this meal. Feel sick. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Love love love this place. They are taking my money because I cant stop ordering from them. I always get the fried rice (chicken and shrimp) and Ive also tried their general Thai pineapple. All 3 are excellent. Their portion sizes are WELL beyond generous. Some days my box is so full it cant even close properly. I usually eat twice from one order. Food is always cooked to perfection and Ive never had a bad experience here. Vegetarian options: They have all sorts of food sensitivity options

Horrible, see the chicken dead parts that no human can consume, they are in your plate. Other Ingridiants are ok. I definitely DO NOT recommend this.

Surprisingly good

I loved their food, everything seemed delicious, but the mushrooms have honestly become my favorite part of the dish. Something that I loved about this establishment is that when closing time approaches, they prepare dishes that are much cheaper so that the least amount of food possible remains, I think it is an excellent measure, it shows that their food is fresh every day and also offers an opportunity to enjoy it at a lower price. Very good for Thai Express! Super recommended! Vegetarian options: Youre going to love their mushrooms.

If I had an option for negative rating, I would rate this location as pathetic in service.Ordered a pad thai noodles and it didn t taste like pad thai at all, watery, no sauce at all. Paid extra for the protein but to my surprise there was just 2 piece of tofu. I like pad thai from other thai express location , tried this one for first time and can say never going back to this location.

Waste of money, No taste at all. Very bland. Ordered green Thai curry with tofu. They have not even put gravy to suffice till middle. It s just rice after half box.

Gave it a try on Uber eats for something different and trying to stay away from fast food. Not all that impressed honestly. Very bland and not well mixed together with the rice. Chicken and veg was on top rice was on the bottom. I would rather enjoy my food then trying to mix it together. Didn t even eat half of it. After all the good reviews this place got back in the day just seems like they are just surviving at this point. Won t be returning.

Terrible taste. Went here on Sat, Aug 6th, 2022. My plate was swimming in too much Thai sauce. Tried eating it but stopped halfway through and ended up going to the bathroom. Told the older Asian man the food was really bad. He looked at me and ignored me! Then the Asian woman came and I explained too much sauce and food is really bad. Told rhem I am not asking for my money back but just to let them know. The man started almost yelling at me and basically blamed me for not saying to put less sauce. My plate was loaded with sauce! Rude people, bad food. Avoid this place. If you do eat here... have a washroom close by!

Ordered a chicken pad Thai, came to over $14. And there were literally three pieces of chicken in it. If I wanted $1. Of noodles I would have grabbed a pack of mr noodle from Walmart.

Great food and customer service! My husband and I grab take-out from here every now and then and always enjoy our meal. The owner and staff are always very friendly and work incredibly hard preparing the food.

So disappointing ordered spicy general Thai chicken and had no heat to it whatsoever. Didnt help that the rice was super boring! Won t be back to this location. Will be going to the waterloo location where they know what spicy is.

First time at Thai Express today. Thought i be serviced by some friendly Thai people. Nope just some unfriendly Chinese dude who seems irritated that i didnt know my protein option for Pas Sa Ew. ( tasted like cheap soy sauce diluted with salted water ) taste and portion not worth the price. Dude need training in customer services

After others where served ahead of me, i ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. 4 of us tried to eat it trying to find someone who would eat it. No one liked it. Too much spice and sauce, too little meat for the price. Wont buy from here again. The oriental man behind the the counter needs to develop better people skills.

I ordered the vegan Pad Thai from their vegan menu card. They asked no egg? Which I guess was good, since somebody there doesnt quite understand what vegan means. A little wild to me if youre in the business of making people their food. Taste was good, but I thought pad Thai has peanuts in it... None found.. also no tofu, but I guess I didnt ask for tofu. So basically a box of noodles, no protein,a a few veggies for $9.58+tax.

Noodles are all stuck together like bad spaghetti. They should call it vegan cause I don t find any chicken, just batter. Threw it away, terrible food

I stopped in today for 2 Thai Salads. The price I was charged @ cash was more than the menu board?! Is that even legal? I ordered both salads without vermicelli & was told they would each be .65 cents less. Grand total was $23.91. Flavour was there but prices did not reflect the amount of food I received.

I ve been going to this place for years to the point where they no my order without me saying it. It s usually a hit or a miss, but when it s good it s amazing so I keep going back hoping to strike lightning. Today I ordered BASIL fried rice withe EXTRA BASIL. I was on my phone when they started making it so when I looked up everything was in the bowl ready to go. I didn t see any basil on top as usually, but I shrugged it off an thought may be it was on the bottom. I couldn t see when he was putting in the take out box, but I asked him if this was the BASIL fried rice and he smiled in my face and said Yes, extra spicy . I got home and I m not exaggerating when I tell you there is LITERALLY zero basil in my BASIL fried rice. I m so flabbergasted right now. If you don t have basil just so and I would have ordered something else, but to deliberately deceive a LONG time customer like that is so appalling. I m never going back to this place again.

I couldnt even eat my food. It was really water and mushy for some reason. I ordered the curry with chicken but didnt even smell like curry.

I have had many Thai Express in a number of different cities across Canada and the simple chicken Pad Thai I received to go today was the worst. It was barely cooked and swimming in excess sauce and liquid. Barely edible.

This Pad Thai is one of the best recipes to try.

I ordered a tofu thai rice and It was tasty but guy at cashier was so rude and dont know how to talk with customer.

I just went there to buy 3 take out meals. The guy at cash was really rude. He didnt say Hi or ask what i would like to order. He didnt want to serve when i came to the store. When i ordered, i ordered wrong. I didnt know what in the meal, i asked him but he didnt want to answer my question. Then i changed my orders, he was very mad. I paid for 3 orders and he didnt say thanks or anything. I go to the mall in Kitchener because i love Thai Express. But after this time i wont buy from this store agian. Very bad service.

Worst pad thai. Very less meat. Not good at all.

Ordered chicken Pad Thai and it was drown is sauce which tasted like ketchup mixed with soy sauce.

Service was good but the food was very bad. Ordered Thai Soup and Pad Thai, Thais Soup had very little meat, and mostly consisted of noodles and fresh shredded carrots - was the worst Thai soup I ever had, and not filling at all. Tofu Pad Thai was way too spicy and not enough protein as well, threw most of it out as I couldnt eat it. Neither of the meals was worth 10 dollars and both were very cheaply made.

I mean its fast food Thai, high calories...but great tasting for fast Thai. I see some people describing getting sick WHILE eating or right after eating... I dont think they quite understand how food poisoning works ;)

Come here every so often with a friend. I usually pick up the basil fried rice with chicken, it has not yet disappointed me. Food is quite tasty.

General Tao chicken really hits the spot. Basil stir-fry is also a great lunch deal and very tasty. Cooked fresh right in front of you.

I went to lots of thai express on different location, I never get this little content with pad thai anywhere else. There is only one piece of tofu and about 10 tiny pieces beef, even the sprout is less than other places. Its definitely not worth nearly 10 bucks. I always feel there are too many meat in the pad thai with the one I had in guelph location. But this one... the only thing I am sure is I will never go back.
