Bistro L'Ange Cornu in L'Assomption

We showed up last Tuesday and were surprised to see the restaurant closed...the hours on Google are not up to date. There were several customers who showed up at a closed door.

Il faisait froid dans le resto. Les plats dhamburger sont servis avec du papier brun dans lassiette! Le même papier quil y a dans les toilettes pour sessuyer les mains!! Ça ma dégouté. Menu pas très varié, mais hamburger de sanglier vraiment délicieux. Par contre, nos plats nétaient pas assez chauds. Musique trop forte à mon goût personnel.

The food is excellent, the service was good, although the waitress was alone to serve 7 tables. What I regret is that despite having booked more than 2 weeks in advance, we were seated in the small performance hall outside, near the door, even though it was around 10 °C. It was cold!

Nice place, fast service, but the recommendation of Ribeye for two was really not a good choice. Ribeye very difficult to chew and a lot of fat, we were told it was tender, really not. Our friends had the flank steak and said it was good.

For our first time at L Ange Cornu, my partner and I were charmed. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. The place is warm and inviting. The food is excellent. Plus, it s two minutes from the theater. What a lovely evening we had. Thanks to the whole team! Well done!

Our favorite destination for my partner and I for our little quality moments. A diverse and delicious menu . An atmosphere conducive to lively discussions but without having to shout and without feeling attacked by the noise. The perfect mix of festive and cozy!! I am honestly amazed by this restaurant. Not only did we have a wonderful evening with delicious meals and a magnificent terrace, but I forgot my bag at the restaurant and the owner took the time to come and bring it to us! I have never seen such attention. I recommend this restaurant for its charm, good cuisine and exceptional service.

We had the flank steak, cooked to perfection and what can we say about the accompaniments. One had the salmon tartare, good and large portion, excellent chicken burger as well as the poke bowl. The only downside was that we arrived at 5am and we had mentioned that we were going to see a show at 7pm and the coffee and dessert arrived at 6:45pm, a bit rushed for the end of the meal. But apart from that everything was delicious

Having ordered a tartare entree, I receive my plate, I eat what they bring me the bill arrives, they charge me for the full plate, the manager doesnt want to know, she says I ate the plate, of course I ate it , how do you want me to know if I received a starter or a plate?? She removed $5 but there is a difference of $12 plus I ordered a glass of wine and never received it..

Vegetarian options: The Rueben sandwich was horrible. I couldnt eat it. The apple pie was ok, abit smushy. The moka coffee was the best Ive had in a long time. Basically, I paid $45.00 with tip for 1 point of apple pie and cup of coffee. I should of replaced that order for something else, the onion soup perhaps. I wont be going back there.

My partner took the trouble to mention her food allergies. Nevertheless, the restaurant served him a meal that contained these foods. She tasted the dish as she began to eat. The restaurant offered him no compensation for their mistake. Ordinary.

Beautiful place, we ate well, the service was excellent... I went back there for a comedy show and I fell in love with the little stage in the courtyard. The welcome was warm and the programming surprised me with its diversity and quality. A little gem for the region. I will come back for sure!

Nice place for a meal. In addition there is the possibility of seeing a show in the well-appointed backyard. On the other hand, to hear the show clearly you have to move towards the stage otherwise the noise from the people eating at the front of the restaurant is disturbing.

Really a nice bistro type restaurant in a really cozy environment. Beautiful diverse menu with hamburger, pizza, tartare, black pudding....There is something for everyone. Street parking.but easy to find. I highly recommend!

A hamburger that is not very generous and poor in taste. Thin, dry buffalo meat, two or three pieces of unroasted peppers and a spoonful of commercial mayonnaise. When the accompanying salad was more interesting than the burger... Nice place (the decor is great), adequate service, no local beer.

We just went to eat at this restaurant for the first time. We wanted a pitcher of rosé Sangria but on the menu there was only red or white. They made us one of rosé and it was excellent. We had a platter of three tartares and a grilled octopus starter and we shared it all. Everything was excellent. Beautiful place, delicious food, outstanding service. Definitely worth a try you cant go wrong.

The welcome when we arrived was ok , However, the choices on the menu are quite limited & also the accompaniments for the main dishes. The salmon tartare... not very good, no capers as mentioned on the menu. Then the main course... ok, but nothing more. On the other hand, the waitress never came to the table, not even to check if everything was correct... Very poor service, that would be worth seeing again. There were more wines on the menu than meals.

Really disappointed for a 4.5 star the prices are exorbitant for the food not very wow, choice on the menu very limited, the waitress never came to ask us if everything was to our taste I dont recommend it was the first and the last time

Nice little restaurant, friendly and simplistic, super friendly staff and good service. Menu not very varied but adequate without more. However, it was very hot on the 2nd floor and the windows remained closed. A request had to be made to open them.

Perfect meal and service in a magnificent location.

A second visit, always charmed by the welcome of the owners and the carefully prepared dishes with very appreciable attention to plating. An à la carte menu at more than resonable prices. This bistro stands out in my opinion for its busy staff. The only b is that the background music is a little too noisy, especially when the bistro is at full capacity.
