Brasserie St-Maurice in L'Assomption

Great find at Assomption. We had fish n chips and a St-Maurice burger For the burger, the brioche bun is very good and toasty and hot. The meatball is generous and tasty. However, the cook probably forgot it on the grill 1 minute too long on one side because there were parts that were too grilled. The fish n chips were sublime, the fish well seasoned, the breading tasty and airy. Was crispy without being greasy. In my lifetime top 5 of the best fish n chips. The accompaniment for both dishes is fries. Which are also excellent. A beautiful dark caramel color, cooked evenly. Crispy on the outside with a perfectly cooked interior. However, I didnt understand the grilled vegetables that came with the fish n chips. You would benefit from replacing it with something better controlled.

We were in a hurry because we were going to a show nearby. We notified the team when we arrived and 40 minutes later we left after enjoying an excellent pizza with fries, wow! We will definitely come back to try other house specialties when we have more time, see you soon!

We went there before José Gaudets show (also excellent) on September 20. Lively pub atmosphere but not too loud, different for us but which we liked. Mimi, our waitress, was exceptional and attentive. We had the fish n chips with light homemade breading with cod and the perfectly cooked steak and fries. Everything was delicious including the fries As a starter, fried squid and dessert with carrot cheesecake which is different and super good Very reasonable price including the little Valpolicella wine. We will return.

It was my first visit yesterday and I loved it!!! The food is excellent, great atmosphere and what can I say about the waitress!!! Excellent service. She was the one who made this excellent experience. Im definitely going back!!! Dietary restrictions: Mother-in-law is allergic to mushrooms and everything was great!

An unforgettable experience, more than perfect service with our Marianne (Josée), what can we say about the succulent and generous food. A plus for the cook who goes from table to table to check if everything is ok. Friendly and warm we will come back.

WOOOWWWW!!! My girlfriend and I ate for the first time at this restaurant. I must admit that I had no expectations. Honestly, the staff has set the bar extremely high. Our waitress and waiter were attentive, even when having to ask. We are entitled to incredible anecdotes. Our drinks were perfect and the meal choices just crazy. Its been a long time since we had wonderful service like this evening. Parking: Just be careful, there are several without one in the surrounding streets Kid-friendliness: There is a childrens menu, and the waitress really liked children. Great service.

Last Friday, June 15, was the first time my partner and I went to this brasserie for dinner. Varied menu and excellent steak, great service from the manager as well as the waitresses, beautiful atmosphere with even a singer. We are definitely going to go back there very soon because we had a very nice evening. Parking: Right opposite there is a free 2-hour parking lot.

Wow! Great discovery! We were a group of 7 people on a Sunday lunchtime and really enjoyed this brasserie. Indeed the fish & ship is delicious (generous cod fillet and homemade breading) and I asked with rice instead of fries. It was delicious. The waitress Marianne? also made all the difference. Welcoming, smiling, emphatic to our wishes and turned down the music so that we could hear ourselves speaking, it was so much more pleasant for our ears. Vegetarian options: The veggie burger was very popular, as were the churros and coffee. Parking: Even though there is a municipal parking lot nearby, it was easy to park in front of the restaurant. Our reservation was at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning so not very busy.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Our waitress was exceptional. Booking was easy and we had a nice space. On the other hand, the other people who were there seemed upset by our presence, and somewhat unpleasant comments were noticed although no one from our tables reacted. I received feedback on this from several tables. Im reluctant to go back just for that but the employees and the place are really good!

Worst place in Assomption. After waiting 1 hour, the waitress came to take our order. After 2 hours of waiting, we left without having eaten. Terrible service and the waitress was drinking her wine at the bar instead of taking care of the customers. Young cooks with no experience.

Too bad, the waitress is forcing herself but she is left to her own devices and the food is not good!! Unfortunately we wont be coming back, it really wasnt up to par!!

First and last time Im going there. We were a group of 20 people and the waitress told us that they brought in extra chefs for our group but I had time to finish my meal before my brother received his meal. We wanted to talk to the boss about a misunderstanding but he didnt listen to us and shouted in the restaurant in front of everyone. No professionalism. At 11 p.m. He said he was waiting for us to leave to close the restaurant when their closing date is posted at 3 a.m. The food not very good. I ordered a rare flank steak, it was cooked and not even pink.

Scam boss supposedly brought in extra staff for our group and yet the service was very slow and we found out that he had to go to work in the kitchen himself... weird! He kept the $400 deposit that he was supposed to deduct from the bill and on top of that he put on a show in front of everyone. I dont advise you to go there, there are much better places around!!!

If youre booking for a group and youre told the VIP lounge is free with a $400 deposit, be careful. The boss did not deduct the $400 deposit from us as agreed (hefty bill of more than $700), supposedly because he lost money because of us, and he had to bring in 2 cooks so that the waitress told us that there was no cook and that it was the boss who had to cook. We were yelled at like rotten fish by the boss in front of everyone and called liars. Blatant lack of professionalism. Nothing to say against the waitress. My boy was served an hour after everyone else. I dont recommend it at all. Too bad, because the setting is really beautiful and there is great potential, but it is almost always deserted. Odd

We went there for a birthday last Saturday and they were able to accommodate our group expertly despite a last minute inconvenience. Impeccable service, very good food and the atmosphere was right up our alley. We will definitely return!

We sat on the terrace... we could hear the waitress chatting and laughing with the men at the bar but she never came outside, did not take care of the outside customers at all. We had to go in to ask for the menus and find out if they were still serving customers... then we waited more than 15 minutes. She never came back and continued to chat with the guys at the bar! We made our camp there and went to eat on another terrace not far away and we had very good and fast service! So for sure we wont be able to return to your restaurant and we wont advise anyone to go there either.... sorry!

Poor. I am speechless. There is a terrible lack of spices in all dishes, especially pasta. The staff drinks during their poses and their hair is untied in the kitchen.

Everything was delicious! I had the St-Maurice burger which was very good and a carrot and caramel cheesecake for dessert which was incredible! My companion had a strip of beef and a crème brulée, he enjoyed it! Very pleasant welcome :)

Drink with a strange smell and taste. The waitress is good, compare to disastrous food. I dont recommend it. My friend waited 1 hour 30 minutes and he finally received half of it. This restaurant is disastrous.

I was disappointed. The meat of my hamburger not cooked enough (meat pink inside), fried (freeze type) not cooked enough even still raw, disappointing coleslaw. My partners poutine was too salty.
