We went for a romantic dinner to celebrate Valentines Day. What a wonderful evening! The food, a real delight from starter to dessert (Thank you Thierry!)! The service, warm and attentive (Martine, always attentive and to the young man whose first name I dont know but who greatly impressed us with his professionalism). We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you for everything!

As always, everything was excellent!!! I chose the veal liver for my meal and I was not disappointed. The reduced port that accompanies the dish enhances the flavors. My partner chose the pork cheek. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Don t hesitate to take the foie gras starter! The portion is generous and above all delicious. Special mention to the young man who took care of us. Your kindness and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. Thank you, Thierry, Martine and your team. We had a great evening.

When we want a good gourmet meal, Le Prieuré is the restaurant that is at the top of our list. The food is delicious with an incredible presentation worthy of the greatest chefs (Thierry is a true artist), the service with Martine is courteous and friendly and despite the quality, everything remains very affordable. Well done to the whole team, we are already looking forward to our next time.

A superb evening! Impeccable service and an incredible dining experience. An explosion of rich, clean flavor. The black pudding with apple port sauce, the best Ive eaten... The venison flambéed with cognac, delicious and tender! The vegetables were really perfect and the potato gratin was unlike any other Ive eaten, silky and melting in the mouth. Everything was tasty but without too many spice blends to get lost. In fact... everything was more than perfect. The starters are really excellent and the desserts too! The apple and sugar crepe served hot still makes my mouth water... And what can I say about the presentation of their dishes?? Its so beautiful that we regret undoing everything lolll We will definitely go back! A big thank you, the place is magnificent and warm!

First visit to this restaurant. Very warm welcome from the owners, Thierry and Martine. The interior is magnificent and superb paintings, works by Chef Thierry, are on view throughout the restaurant. We held the reception for our wedding at the Le Prieuré restaurant. Everything was perfect. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Thanks again!

Honestly, I was afraid of a stuffy restaurant and no! Great place! The room is very comfortable and not noisy like a fashion lounge. The cuisine is an excellent mix of French and Quebec inspiration. Not too expensive wines and a nice menu. Desserts... Hmmm desserts Brief! A great discovery outside the hustle and bustle of Montreal but close enough to go and have a drink to end the evening.

First time at this restaurant. Lovely welcome and impeccable service. Delicious starters and desserts. On the other hand, the main course was far too expensive for the quality offered. At $50-60 for the main course, I would have liked a little more creativity in the accompaniments. We were 2 people and ordered different dishes and our plate was 90% identical. The only difference is that I had venison and my partner had sweetbreads. I felt like I was receiving a generic dish with only a different protein. The sweetbread was very good, however the venison was very disappointing. Response to the owner: thank you for your response. I didnt say that the venison dish deserved a return to the kitchen. I found that the dish is really not worth $60 when I compare dishes at the same price in other restaurants. I expected a level of quality like your entries. I understand your point that you are alone in the kitchen and that you cannot afford different accompaniments but honestly, to say that it has been the same thing in lassiete for almost 40 years, in my opinion it indirectly suggests that I am not wrong to have found the cuisine a bit old style when it comes to the main dishes. What a superb evening! From starter to dessert, all the dishes presented were a delight for the eyes and the palate! The only downside was that two of the three main dishes were not hot enough, which does not detract from the quality of the food served. Exceptional atmosphere for us, 3 members of the same family, who wanted to share a good time and chat in complete peace. Congratulations to the whole team for the very attentive service and congratulations to the chef for his exceptional talent! This wasnt our first visit and it certainly wont be our last.

Restaurant with tasty and classic cuisine

I love this restaurant and even more the owners Thierry & Martine. The pan-fried duck foie gras starter is irresistible and the portion is generous.

For dinner: Great service, the chef and his wife are attentive, clean place, beautiful romantic location. The dishes that were served to us: starter Tatin apples and sweet-salty foie gras, good for the taste buds! .. Dishes: Venison flambéed in cognac, Braised pork cheek both tender and melt in the mouth... the tiramisu very beautiful presentation and great taste! Ipa and Soho beer - lychee we liked it, all very good!! We recommend!

We returned yesterday, for Francines birthday. Sublime foie gras starter (I dont dare say everything I think about it, youll think I was paid to write it), pork cheek for Francine, perfectly satisfied, venison for me (yum, yum ) and a little fresh red grape juice, no room for dessert, herbal tea for digestion. A safe bet for a good meal. It was the second time we came to L Assomption (the first was 8 years ago ) and we wanted to return to this French restaurant because we had very good memories of it. We were not disappointed, everything was very well cooked and very tasty. The only small downside concerns the attitude of the owner when paying: as a good Frenchman accustomed to service included , I neglected to leave a tip, which she kindly pointed out to me. I asked her what the usage was and she told me 15% of the bill. However, the bill is already increased by 15% taxes (GST + TVQ), which means that she generously gave herself a little more than 2.2% additional tip on my back...!!! Not too correct I think...

Excellent as usual, what can I say about the chef otherwise great super service. 5 stars. Paul Bocuse is going to lose a star and Im giving it to Thierry.
