I highly recommend! We had 2 griot meals with red bean rice and pasta salad and we enjoyed ourselves! The rice was perfectly seasoned and the pork was very tender, fell apart on its own and melted in your mouth.. mmmh! The plantains were just ripe and sweet enough to complement and balance the dish. The sauce side dish was very tasty and what about the pikliz. Even the pasta salad was excellent! Thank you for the warm service and a hearty and finger-licking delicious meal to say the least!

I went to get 2 griot dishes to take away, still served quickly and the service was very pleasant. The quantity is good, its a reasonable dish and a good portion for a meal, Im used to having an extra for lunch in other places like this, but hey, thats me... Honestly I didnt like the dish at all, The textures and tastes are not the same as I am used to. But thats to my taste.

Honestly, I dont even know where to start. some time ago I went to buy a dish of jonjon rice and chicken with macaroni salad the same way it was given to me I had to put it in the trash it was not edible and it seems that its food that had been there for several days it wasnt fresh due to all the macaroni tasting sour and now lets talk about the cleanliness of the restaurant as we look through the room windows it gives us no desire to go back there or even eat on site, the toilets are no longer up to our standards. Why I decided to post my comment now is because I do not tolerate the disrespectful way the girl spoke to me, we felt that I am not her child and she must speak better with the customers if she wants to attract new customers since it is not busy. I am sorry for the owner of the restaurant that he has already informed me that it is complicated and that they do not have many customers and there are days that they cannot even open because the restaurant is lacking of staff. But here you have to communicate with the girl who was there on September 4, 2024 with a better attitude the situation could be reasonable.

Delicious griot pork

I dont eat here often 2-3 a year, i always take riz collé, with whatever meal i take, this time i got pork (grio? Not sure) the pork is pretty dry (i guess its traditional way to cook it) i use the sauce that comes with it, the owner is super nice, very welcoming, very nice ambience , also what i like is that the product dont change (taste texture or brand)

I do not recommend this restaurant!!! The service at the reception was still good by the young girl, as she did not have answers to certain questions. She had to call the person in charge (possibly also the cook/owner)! No courtesy from her, very cold and defensive. We bought for $72, when I received the dishes (3) I had 5 pieces of grio (small one), 2 plantain (sweet) and still a good quantity of rice all for $18. I pointed out to her that the quantity of meat was insufficient and in all my dishes, she told me that all the portions were as is! I tell her that in this case I don t want it, she refused to reimburse me lol Best of all, the food was REALLY not good. Dont make the detour, its really not worth it. The spices are not typical Creole, I have the impression that there was an Indian spice, not sure but the taste is strange. Go to their FB page for photos, the sauce is brown No, that s a big NO for me. I wouldnt go back there again!!!!

Hello, I want to mention from the start that I am not racist and I am a big regular at Haitian restaurants. But this was really another level! I came with my girlfriend and we had two dishes of tassot cabrit with djondjon rice and when we arrived home, both of us had the same reaction! The rice lasts lasts lasts not well cooked. 5 small pieces of meat. Brown sauce and not tit malice sauce. The pikliz in water with just liquid. I never complain but this was really disappointing. So we went back to the restaurant to have our rice changed and the business was closed at 7 p.m. even though it was clearly written that it closed at 9 p.m. So we had to go to the local Chinese shop to buy white rice. Unfortunately very bad experience.

I ordered a griot dish for 13.50+tax with only 4 pieces (see photo)!! It was my first time ordering from this restaurant but it s also the last time!! All the Haitian restaurants I have been to were never this cheap. The taste was okay, nothing special. Also, the pikliz was more like a broth sauce it really wasn t pikliz!! If I could give zero stars, that would be the case. In short, I prefer to drive to Montreal to have a real Haitian dish!!!

Im really disappointed of the flavor. I ordered riz dijon dijon and it was buerk. This is my first time being disappointed in haitian food. The 5 piece of tassot made me cry. I dont understand how this place has 4.6 star. Worst haitian restaurant

Great stew and rice; pork melts in your mouth. Dont forget to try corn cake.

A must-have! Warm service, exotic atmosphere and food to make you drool. I used to live on Île Perrot and I had the chance to go there often. Today I live in Coteau-du-lac and I still make the trip to get my chicken in sauce! I am proud to encourage this gastronomic jewel. Mesi anpil!

Good morning. I returned to you after a few years. There was no improvement. Overcooked acras. Banana not fresh. reheated and overcooked. Griot and tasso very good. We threw away the stuck rice. The welcome was polite and warm. If your food had been as good as the welcome. We would have had a feast. I returned to Millie and La Fourchette Antillaise. Good day.

Banana burn the soft meat even not fried pikliz with tabasco sauce I am disappointed I am a griot lover and it is one of the least good that I have eaten nothing to do with those from Montreal or Laval

Food is amazing!

What a delightful find, wonderful food and a very gracious and helpful hostess. Currently only take out but what a delight to have. Flavorful meals with a real touch of authentic cuisine. Gladly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a tastefully prepared chicken, goat and beef stews and spiced meals.

Food wasn t bad . But for the price I m paying I would expect more food . Ordered the griot and there was literally 5-6 pieces of meat !! Come on !!

My husband and I love the food here. We are new to the area but we already know that it will be one of our go-to places. The price is fair and the food is delicious and flavorful. It is filling as well. The service is good. The employees took the time to explain when we have questions.

Didnt taste like freshly cooked, extremely oily and a little bit too expensive for its quality. But the guy is super friendly and nice.

We asked to have a discovery menu prepared for us in order to introduce this type of cuisine to children. It was a success all round! Very good value for money. The portions were generous but you have to love rice!!! I havent tried this dish but I saw that they were offering a griot poutine... great way to mix cultures! To try next time.

It s not authentique Créole but for Île Perrot it s more than satisfying. I got the Tassot Cabrit which is extremely dry so I suggest getting an Extra Sauce.

Having tried the Creole food in Montreal Chez Raynald, Sissi et paul, Marché héli-mélo... Never paid for the griot dish at lunch.. totally ridiculous portion, $11 for 4 small ones pieces of griot, 2 bites!! I can believe that the restaurant wants to make a profit from its dishes, but there are always limits. Especially since a pork shoulder is not the most expensive thing.

My significant other and I passed by because we were looking for something in the area with a little spice and didn t want to drive all the way into the city for good Caribbean food and we stumbled upon this place and were wonderfully surprised at how yummy the food was!! For our mains, he had the traditional pork griot dish served with plantains, a side salad and rice and I tried their chicken poutine with the spicy sauce. It was soooooo good!! However the best part was the appetizer; pork patties. They come in a set of 4, three-bite pieces with a spicy dipping sauce for 3.50$?! They came piping hot and incredibly flaky on the outside but filled with the yummiest pulled pork filling. If you re in the area and you re craving some good Caribbean food, it s a nice spot for a quick bite. We re definitely going to go back!!

If I could I would put NO stars for this restaurant. Riz a pois taste like nothing. As for the griot, its NOT even the right part of the pig that they use. The Acra is way to oily the patés are just plain, no taste. The banane plantin shoudl be salty not sweet. Definitely not the right taste of Haitian food. And people Im not just saying this my in laws are Haitian.. I myself can make better food that this.

Impressed. We ordered takeout. Creole chicken, beef in sauce and accras... Wow it was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, so tender. And the black mushroom rice was excellent.

As much as I think 3 stars is being generous, I dont feel 2 is being fair either. Overall it was tasty, but WAY too salty to my liking. Service by the owners was friendly and polite.
