Nice pub, friendly and offers a lot of special events.
Live music run from 9pm and was still there when we left at midnight. The singer is very good. Service and food were much better than in typical pubs. Very good place
Tried this place yesterday with three friends. Not quite the type of place that we usually visit, but given that our wives were out for the night, we decided to give this place a try amongst us four men. Food was good, friendly staff, attentive service and very affordable. We happened to be there during a one-man band country singer show. We’re not country music fans, however we were delighted by the talented performance, and before we knew it the small dance floor quickly filled up with a group of beautiful young ladies square dancing your evening away.
Great place, bring your own wine. The service was amazing. The prices were acceptable. Just wish the amount of food for the main coarse was more. I felt hungry after eating. But enjoyable. Great time
For the price I think it's a bit underwhelming. The nacho portion was huge! But our waitress said it was rare that it gets this big. Unfortunately the toppings were very light so it was mostly just a bag of corn chips. They also served salsa and sour cream in very small portions. Our waitress was absolutely excellent and has answered all my questions with a smile. The poutine is weird. The fries and gravy are very very good but the cheese has no squeak whatsoever. It was really soupy with gravy. I do not think they are fresh cheese curds. How disappointing for a pretty expensive poutine!! It's nice seeing labatte 50 on tap but it was fairly flat. The red sangria was delicious! We sat outside and the vibes were really nice. Perhaps I'll sit inside next time.
We all ordered fish and chips, generous portion and delicious. The onions in the coleslaw was a nice touch. Giving it 4 stars because my red wine was cold, seemed like it came straight out of the fridge, it lost some of it aromas. Would return and try their terrace next time.

This place used to be great for atmosphere with the occasional band or singer and a nice outside terrasse, friendly inside setting and bar. However went there for what was supposed to be the season's opening (terrace). We arrived early to get a nice outside spot and to have drinks before dinner. I sat there for an hour trying to get service to order a bottle of wine. By the time I had the waitress 'attention there were no more of the one I wanted and ended up ordering and waited another half hour and we did not get it nor did anyone come to take our order for food. I left without having eaten nor drank anything and unhappy. Friends who stayed said the band started playing later than advertised and they also left without eating, ending their evening having a hot dog at the nearby Monique's. The owner needs to do something here before losing more customers
The food was good, the atmosphere would have been extraordinary if there had not been a conflict between 2 groups and music (upstairs and downstairs)

Abominable service, my waitress, Jordanne, was impatient and rude, during service she literally snatched the menu out of my hands and left adding something to my order, we asked for the bill, she took over 15 minutes to bring it, and when we finally received it she took over 10 minutes to return with the machine, we saw her at the bar flirting with customers, and finally after paying she commented on the amount of our tip, which is particularly disrespectful and unprofessional. Next time I will ask for a different server.

Nous sommes arrivés à 17 h et avons été servis à 19 h. La bouffe est très ordinaire. J ai pris le fish and chips et mon amie, une guédille aux crevettes. Il n y avait qu une seule serveuse un samedi à l heure de pointe. Elle était malgré tout gentille et sympathique. Ils nous ont quand même payé le repas pour le mauvais service. Malheureusement, je n y retournerai plus.

Group meal on June 12, 2024. There were 13 of us at our table. Several other people on the terrace and a few inside. Only one waitress for the entire restaurant and only one cook. Almost 90 minutes from ordering to receiving our meal. I speak for myself now. I ordered the fish & chips and was very disappointed. A mountain of fries and 4 pieces of breaded fish. The fish only tasted like the breading. The emphasis of this restaurant is to encourage consumption. I definitely wont go back.

I discovered a delicious brunch at Laprairie. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I loved the menu options which were varied and unique. Only downside: the waitress, although friendly, seemed overwhelmed, which caused some delays. Despite this, the quality of the dishes was worth the wait. I highly recommend for an exquisite brunch. Parking: A little space around and behind the building, otherwise on the street.

I didnt have to make an appointment on a Saturday evening and the service was good. The food and cocktails were excellent (plus the prices were very reasonable). I recommend 100%!

[EDIT] I appreciate the return of the restaurant downstairs, but just to be clear, we knew that the promotion ended at 7 p.m. And knowing that, we had asked for X number of beers before that. We were loaded with one more. When we spoke with the waitress to explain this, she wouldnt understand us and ended up with a all that for 2 pieces? in a passive aggressive manner. Finally, the review is for the attitude of your waitress (which was not professional overall), not the $2 more. ------ You know, the little corner of the neighborhood you want to love? Its here. On the other hand, our experience was not the best. When you go to a restaurant/pub like St-Paul you want to feel good, with very good service. It wasnt that unfortunately. Im not going to go into details, but having a waitress who wants to discuss with you when you bring up a point and she starts saying that we want to discuss because of $2, thats a bit too much for me. The money is nothing, its the attitude of the waitress that we hated. The mushroom burger is really good. On the other hand, take note of everything you consume. All. Because you can be challenged. First and last visit.

Honestly, we enjoyed our stop at Café St-Paul. Red sangria is delicious and refreshing. The fish & chips with mayonnaise fries, tartar sauce and coleslaw satisfied us. On a Monday, the terrace was quiet and the service was courteous with a smile. We will return!

Nice little place with good prices and good selection of beers and cocktails. The menu is varied and the food excellent. The waitresses are super nice, especially Sylvia! Very friendly and informed us well about the questions we had. I will return without hesitation.
The Saint Paul café, a place of choice when it opened, however now we are a little in the doldrums with the changes made to the menu. The essential Saint Paul burger and its sauce are now forgotten. They will even serve you tomato hearts in your clubs and breakfast potatoes in your meal for dinner to enhance everything. What a shame I never went back there.

Mon mari est allé commander le menu et encore une fois personne nest venu à notre table, cet endroit ma laissé tomber. À la place, il ny avait que 3 tables avec des clients, donc je ne pense pas que ce soit un problème que quelquun puisse nous servir.

Surprisingly surprised at the quality of the cuisine for the place, however bring a woolen blanket because its cold.
Two days before it closed, the bill was $76 for 4 glasses of beer. After a half hour argument it was clear the bill was wrong.

Malheureusement, cest la troisième quon y va. On se dit ma conjointe et moi que ça va être mieux la prochaine fois. Une des seules place à la prairie avec une terrasse dont on gardait espoir. Pauvre service à chaque fois, serveuses non cordial, le temps dattente pour se faire servir est très très long. Je ne le recommende pas désolé.
