Very good table.

Charming little restaurant, I tried their famous boudin, and indeed, its the best Ive eaten, super soft and light. Beautiful, generous wine list. Big surprise, there are different promotions every day. My colleagues were also delighted with the duck and the burger. The only downside is the quantity of mosquitoes at the end of the evening on the terrace. $50 per person including wine.

Small, friendly restaurant located in old Laprairie. Asparagus cream, good but not WOW; mesclun salad, pears, prosciutto endives, good but very little pears; smoked cheddar filet mignon, cooked perfectly and tender; semi-cooked, not too sweet and very successful; glass of St-Emilion Les Promesses wine, excellent recommendation. Attentive service with a smile. Parking: Plenty of street parking.

Weve been going there for dinner a good ten times, each time the service is exemplary, the food is delicious, both the starters and the main meal and the same goes for the deserts. The bill is still a little expensive but the experience is still worth it.

We went for lunch to this place with a toddler. Very cute place with European feel. Food was tasty, staff is very friendly. Baby ate all of his carbonara and enjoyed complementary sweet treat! Pure enjoyment after long drive.

We went to Chez Julien for dinner on March 24, 2023. Everything was excellent. Having the soup of the day as a starter can sometimes seem banal, but not at Juliens, they are always excellent. Mine was mashed sweet potatoes served with a cloud of maple cream. Gorgeous. We had the special of the day, sweetbreads on a bed of macaroni carbonara served with a hint of candied tomatoes. Generous and absolutely divine dish that the restaurant should put on the menu without delay. (Otherwise we sulk.... LOL). The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is warm, and you are not pushed to free the table for a second service (well done!). The wine list has some nice surprises at affordable prices. You can generally park a few steps from the restaurant in the surrounding streets. We without hesitation recommend this restaurant, one of the best on the South Shore.

We found out about the place thanks to a Tuango offer. This included a 4-course dinner for two people. Everything was delicious! Beautiful presentations and we had excellent service.

During a somewhat last minute evening, we went to old La Prairie thinking of going to a particular restaurant. But when we arrived, there were no more places so we started looking for a new spot... We came across the restaurant Chez Julien, we literally had no expectations. Oh boy we ate well!!! The rack of lamb and kofta was delicious, the filet mignons were cooked to perfection. I can only recommend this restaurant! The service and wines were excellent too. In the end, the chances that I will return to Chez Julien, even if it was not our initial choice, are very high! Thanks again!

I took the pudding. Honestly, it melted in your mouth, it was so delicious. Small menu choice, but what is there is on point.

Always good. This was again the case today for the sharing of the day, the duck breast and the beef tartare. Beautiful terrace in the shade of the trees.

Its always a great pleasure to go to this restaurant, the dishes are excellent, the trout and fried squid starter is a must to taste, the bison dish for two people is divine, and the lamb chops are amazing! a delight to the palate. I highly recommend it. Well done!

Ordered one cauliflower poutine appetizer, 2 mocktails, carbonara, risotto, boudin +scallops and a mi fondant dessert. Everything was delicious, very tasty and balanced flavours. Service was impeccable and very accommodating to my 3 yr old. Hidden gem on the south shore!

A tad pricy but totally worth it. All the food we ordered was delicious. The portions are not huge, but the food is so rich that you wouldn t want more than what was served. The decaf coffee was not good (the only part of the meal I wouldn t order again.)

We had a great summer experience at this place. Glass of white and very good dish on the terrace in old La Prairie, its difficult to do better. Simply charming.

Located on a beautiful site, the waitress was very friendly and had a nice appearance. But the prices are expensive, small fries for $9, yes it is good but nothing more. PS; It was a quick stop when I was on a bike route so maybe the rest of the menu would be worth it. If you want a little semi-romantic outing with a walk and you like the architecture of yesteryear then try the place.

Everything was good until the last crumb!!! From the entrance to the desert! OMG the lamb and sugar tart sharing plate!!!! And what about the cocktails! For some, this restaurant would perhaps be expensive, but I find it completely reasonable for everything that me and my partner took! I recommend! If youre on the south shore, go there!

Wow! When you say it tastes like heaven, well that s Julien s. The Mac n cheese simply WOW and what about the Peking duck. It melts in the mouth. Cauliflower poutine is the best poutine I have ever eaten. The portions are generous. Friendly staff, quick service. Cleanliness #1. Its worth the detour.

We ordered takeaway on Friday and it was really ordinary. The Ours burger had no taste, the fries were frozen and not homemade, the cauliflower poutine was really mediocre and Arrancini bacon and cheese curds left something to be desired.. Bad experience.

Very pleased with my first experience. The menu, short but varied, offers a modern and chic table. I loved the green salad with strawberry vinaigrette and the black sea bass on risotto verde. The trout tartare lacked a little taste on the other hand. Otherwise, the signature Mule cocktail was excellent. The service is courteous and very fast. I highly recommend!

We went at the end of the evening, me and a friend, to have a drink and dessert. The cocktails were fabulous and the desserts really delicious. I cant wait to go back for a full meal. They have a charming little terrace with a view of the old La Prairie church which is all lit up. Beautiful magical atmosphere.

Never been disappointed with this place! The food is sublime! The lamb pasta, seafood pasta, duck, even the blood sausage, etc... including the desserts are delectable! The cocktails like the strawberry kir des champs is a pure delight!And they encourage the Quebec wines from the St-Jacques estate and I must say that the rosé is delicious!The decor has been brought up to date and it remains chic and clean!And we are in the heart of old La Prairie opposite the magnificent church !And without the famous virus we can see and listen to the Thursdays of old La Prairie !There is also a beautiful terrace on the side !The staff is very courteous! (P.S.:The only small problem! Its the bathroom and I know they cant do anything about that but its small! She works for me and most people but Im sure it causes trouble for some people!)

Superb terrace with the feeling of Vieux-LaPrairie, located in front of the sumptuous church which lights up during dusk, with a beautiful romantic illuminated path adjoining the terrace; varied music ranging from Harmonium to Nancy Sinatra, etc. And much more!

Wonderful meal and impeccable service.

We found Chez Julien while searching for a caterer for our wedding. We took their lunch boxes, which in addition to having a competitive price, were all three* DELICIOUS! The guests are still talking to us about it, the boxes are completely emptied and otherwise taken to take home! The quantities were perfect, every item was seasoned well - from salads to tartares to chips. The boxes are made of cardboard and laminated inside to prevent any damage, a much more chic look than we expected for lunch boxes - pleasantly surprised! They were well identified and we even had a surplus of homemade chips to give to everyone. Delivery was made at the agreed time. They showed great flexibility in the previous weeks with the event which was uncertain at the time of celebrating for the number of people and the confirmation of meals, we really appreciated it. They always responded very quickly to our emails and calls when necessary, impeccable service on all points! We 100% recommend their catering service and look forward to going to the real restaurant! *St-Jacques - Beef tartare, Émilie Gamelin - vegetarian beet tartare box and St-Henri maple caramelized pork.

Food is excellent during the day or evening. Meat, fish and pasta are all delicious served in large portions (I usually eat a lot) Also, the servers and owners know me even though I go to this restaurant 2-3 times a year. Warm and pleasant service, perfect for couples or small groups. In addition, they have always welcomed me respectfully since I was young and I am an adult today.

An experience that deserves 5 stars. Well done! To begin with, the service was impeccable. The waitress gave us the complete menu and was able to answer all our questions to help us make our choices. All the dishes were tasty, delicious, cooked to perfection and well presented. The well-balanced wine list with ample choice for all tastes. Finally, the prices are more than reasonable. Nothing to complain about. We will return.

Nice welcome, we were seated on the edge of the window. Beautiful table, but the bench is high compared to the table. We went there on a Friday at 8 p.m., the restaurant was not full, maybe half. The menu is short and simple. Prices are reasonable. We had good service. We chose the fried mushrooms - $11, very good. Fried and grilled squid. We were a little surprised to see that the squid were not all fried, because we didnt read it correctly, but they were very good - $17, and homemade black pudding toast - $18, really excellent. For the wine, we chose the Mio de M.O., 2014, excellent. My wine glass was dirty and they changed it right away. We are served a pic with baguette bread. The food was good and the atmosphere wasnt too loud. Charming little restaurant.

This fine dining restaurant will not keep the keto cuisine lover indifferent. The way the menu is designed, you are free to choose your dishes and accompaniments. The staff is attentive and answers all questions about the ingredients used. Great service.

Generally a good restaurant, with decent pricing if you go during the week (specials on weekdays). Only constructive criticism I would give is my glass of wine was served too warm and was at its end of life (bottle must have been opened for a while, started turning to vinegar) and the salmon tartar has too much additional spices so the taste of the salmon gets lost. Otherwise, good place, I would go back.

An A1 wine list and succulent dishes... all in a charming decor and served by very courteous staff... Simply perfect!!

Overall, our experience was not up to par with previous customer reviews. We were well received by the staff. Our table was in a secluded corner, which gave our group good privacy, but placed us out of sight of the waitress, whom I had to fetch to order. For our group of ten, a large table was extended with a small, rickety, narrower table, which was annoying. The menu we were given suggested three courses to make a complete meal, which is not indicated on the online menu, and which took us a little while to understand, despite the explanations from the waitress. The service was generally friendly, attentive (except at the end) and quite fast, except for the dish of the day, which was served last, without explanation, which is the opposite of our expectations. I liked the wine. The food was generally decent or good, depending on the dishes, but not up to the prices charged. The crème brûlée was excellent, but the sugar tart praised by the waitress was not one in my opinion: not very sweet, lacking in taste and without a grainy texture, rather gelatinous. After paying, without receiving the simple thank you that politeness requires, we no longer existed for the staff, who were invisible when we left.
